PART ONE:

Rushing to Drum

On the Going Merry was a panicking Ben; who was watching out for an island in the distance because one of the crew was deathly ill and Ben couldn't do anything to help.

=FLASHBACK=

"Ben, Luffy, Zoro and Usopp keep us heading towards Alabasta!" Nami shouted out leaning on the steering wheel of the ship, her side ached with an unknown pain and her skin was flush with sweat, but that wouldn't stop her from getting Vivi back to her home especially after what she read. She looked behind her and saw Sanji trying to flirt with Vivi who had a look of annoyance on her face.

Nami grabbed at the steering wheel when another tremor took hold and made her shiver with pain. The Eternal Pose sat on a table that Ben made using a strange gremlin creature that he called: Juryrigg.

"Ben! Take the wheel, I'm going for a shower." Nami shouted out, her hands slide from the steering wheel as she walked down towards the bathroom, as she reached the bathroom, she slides the lock closed; she pulled up the bandage and noticed the rash that came from the bite had spread to under her armpit. With a soft sigh, Nami slides down to her behind.

'God damnit.' Nami thinks re-wrapping the bandage around her side. She tries to stand only to fall back to her behind. Nami tries to stand and this time she succeeds using her staff to stand. With a shaky hand, she opened the bathroom and with a stagger, Nami started her walk back to the deck of the ship, only to feel faint and collapse not long after.

"Can you check on Nami Ben?" Sanji asks placing a plate on the table, and hits Luffy on the back of his head when he tried to grab at the food. Ben stood from the table and headed out towards the crew's sleeping area.

"Nami?" Ben asks peeking his head into the personal room she 'borrowed' from Luffy, considering it was the Captain's quarters. On the bed sat Nami's pillows and blanket she 'bought' from Loguetown, Ben looked around seeing the Captains bathroom's door was open.

"Nami, you in the bathroom?" Ben asks stepping into the room, on the floor was a mess of clothes that surrounded the area around the bed.

'Where is she?' Ben thinks to himself as he looks around the room on the floor, he spots Nami's staff that she never lets out of her sight, next to the staff was Nami who was face forward on the floor.

"Nami!" Ben shouts running towards Nami, Ben reaches down and shakes Nami's shoulder. Nami doesn't wake, Ben looks closer and sees that Nami is flush with sweat and shaking slightly. Ben looks down at Nami wondering what to do.

"LUFFY, ZORO, SANJI, USOPP! Get down here!" Ben shouts lifting Nami into his arms, as he does the Straw Hat crew enter Nami's 'room' and find her unconscious in Ben's arms.

"What's going on?" Sanji asks with an annoyed look on his face, Zoro keeps him back from doing anything stupid, Luffy reaches forward and brushes his hand over Nami's forehead; when he felt the heat that came from her forehead he changed before Ben's eyes, no longer a goofy captain; Luffy took charge asking Ben to carry Nami down to the ship doctor area. Luffy asked Zoro to keep the ship heading towards Alabasta.

Nami felt cold as she awoke, standing off to the side was Ben, but not Ben. It was him because it had the Omnitrix logo on its forehead... but it was a lizard creature that was entirely blue with ice that came from its face.

"Ben?" Nami asks with a weakened voice.

"Not Ben, Arctiguana." The lizard creature known as Arctiguana says exhaling frost as it speaks.

=ALIEN BIO=

Arctiguana is the Merge Model Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Polar Manzardill from the ice caps on the planet X'Nelli. As his name suggests, Arctiguana's appearance somewhat resembles an iguana. He is a cold-blooded alien (as normal reptiles) whose blood is literally very cold.

Arctiguana had small spikes around his face, three dorsal fins reaching down his back and white gills on the sides of his head. Arctiguana once wore a bodysuit with the Omnitrix on his left shoulder. Now, this alien wears a spacesuit like apparatus without all the technical machines that would allow space travel.

The Omnitrix now rests on this alien's head.

=ALIEN BIO END=

"Are you the reason I feel cold?" Nami asks trying to sit up only to fall back into the hospital bed. Arctiguana shakes his head, his hand coming up towards the Omnitrix and with a red flash, Ben returns sitting where Arctiguana once sat.

"We are heading towards an island that is close by, it's known to have doctor's... well that's what we hope at least." Ben says reaching up towards his eyes, he slowly rubs them with his fingers.

"Why didn't you tell us you were sick?" Ben adds asking Nami, who looks away; she lifts up her shirt and a newspaper falls out towards the bed.

"This is why." Nami says with a cough on the paper, it read: WAR; Alabasta under siege, and it was dated a couple of days ago. Ben reached over taking Nami's hand in his own.

"You remind me of my cousin; she was headstrong like you." Ben says putting Nami's hand back onto the bed, Ben looked down at his left wrist and slowly used the Omnitrix's scan function to see if there was any way to help.

"What are you doing?" Nami asks watching a green light come from Ben's Omnitrix that scanned her from head to toe.

"Seeing if the Omnitrix can help in some way." Ben says as the green scan light returns back into the Omnitrix; the Omnitrix flashes slowly as a voice comes from the Omnitrix.

"DAMAGE TO DNA; UNKNOWN SOURCE. TRY TO FIX?" The Omnitrix says with a mix of Ben's voice and a mechanical deep voice.

"Try to fix please." Ben says looking down at the Omnitrix, as Ben says that the Omnitrix flashes twice changing the faceplate to a pale yellow colour. Ben then places his hand over Nami's forehead as the Omnitrix flashes again, the pale yellow colour shifting back to a green hue. Ben pulls his hand back and looks down at the Omnitrix with a confused look.

"Did it work?" Nami asks only to fall back to sleep with a sigh, Ben looks down at the Omnitrix; he then rushes out towards the deck of the ship to think about what just happened.

=FLASHBACK END=

'You can fix DNAliens but not a sickness?' Ben thinks looking down at his Omnitrix covered wrist, Luffy comes up behind Ben and places his hand on Ben's back.

"You couldn't help?" Luffy asks with a serious tone, his Strawhat tilted down to cover his eyes. Ben shakes his head; Luffy turns to Vivi, who told the Straw Hat crew about an island that 'may' have doctors who could help; So Luffy let her steer the ship towards the island.

Sanji was sitting on the chair that he took from the kitchen; he was watching out for a change in the weather, any change at all. Zoro was off to the side using a barbell to practise his swinging. Usopp was running around the deck, only to be knocked over by Karoo; who was also running around.

"Vivi keep us heading this way; I hope there is an island soon. I'm worried about Nami!" Luffy shouts out heading towards the sickbay to keep an eye on Nami; Vivi saluted and kept the Going Merry steady on especially rough sea's.

In the distance a figure slowly rises from the sea, it was a shadowy figure wearing what looked like a huge overcoat that held a pair of binoculars to its eyes. Inside the ship that slowly drifts under the water, a huge hippo-like figure sat on a chair two sizes too small; the figure was chewing on a knife from the handle to the blade. The figure's eyes were full of hatred for being ousted from his kingdom.

"REVENGE!" the hippo-figure shouted out as the ship continued on its journey.
