The Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, had their hands full dealing with the Outworld Horde. Never before have they faced enemies more aggressively and deadly as these warriors. It was like the gates of hell had been opened underneath their city…again.
"There's just no end to these things!" cried out Black Widow, firing her stingers relentlessly and using her acrobatic skills to repel and avoid as many of the Kahn Guards as she could. Some of them have managed to get and leave cuts and scratches through her suit, but escaped their grasp and powered on through.
Captain America, the Super Soldier, was defending himself as best as he can with his Vibranium Shield as the blades of the Tarkatan Hordes scratched and scraped against it. Compared to the Kahn's soldiers, these guys were considerably hard since they were legion. Still, he fought as hard as he did in the war, advancing and powering through with strength, speed, and strategy, throwing his shield and having it ricochet across several of these Outworld monsters.
"It's not helping that they're all coming out of that!" He points to the giant portal that opened up, and Legion keeps coming through. And along with the Horde came the self-appointed Leader of the Tarkatan Tribe, a bigger and spikier monster who calls himself Baraka. And alongside him was the General to the Kahn's Army, Reiko.
"I'm thinking those two are the Leaders." Remarked the Invincible Iron-Man, Tony Stark, who was hovering over the battlefield, analyzing them both. "Whoever these guys are, their species is unlike anything we've encountered. But they can't be that hard to take down. Hawkeye!"
The archer was up on the top of a building, bow, and quiver of trick arrows in hand as he aimed at the two of Outworld's worst people.
"If this doesn't get me nightmares, I might as well get a kick out of taking these guys down." He remarked, pulling at the bowstring. But, much to his surprise, Reiko spotted him and the General wasted no time throwing a shuriken at him. Hawkeye quickly jumped from where he was, still firing the arrow in the process before quickly lancing a grapple arrow to land safely.
The arrow he fired at Reiko and Baraka, the Tarkatan shot a blade shard at, only for the arrow to explode on impact. Both warriors growled before the smoke cleared to reveal Iron-Man standing before them, repulsors at the ready to blast them.
"Your movie, apocalypse rejects." He said to them, but they were hardly faced.
"We will carve you open, metal man!" Baraka snarled as he advanced with a jump and his blades slashed against Stark's armor. Much to his surprise, they actually cut through, but not enough to damage his then wasted no other time, firing his repulsors, but Baraka's blades absorbed the shot as he continued to come at Iron-Man.
Reiko's attentions were turned to Captain America throwing his shield at him, but Kahn's General blocked it with his just-braced arms as the shield was sent back to the Captain.
"I don't suppose you want to talk this out." said Rogers. Reiko merely cracked his neck before replying "Talk during battle is a sign of weakness, Earthrealmer. Now stand and fight!"
It was worth a shot, Steve thought before advancing on Kahn's most loyal soldier, who meet equally matched in hand-to-hand combat, maybe even better a fight with the brutal and steeled attacks Reiko kept throwing at the First Avenger. Steve had felt like this since the first time he faced the Winter Soldier. But while he and Bucky have honed their own skills while spending some time frozen in ice, Reiko has had centuries of conflicts and battles to improve upon, and the tenacity he fought with was a bit too much for the Captain to handle at the moment as Rogers was slammed to the ground while Reiko stood on top of him, the vibranium shield in hand.
"This shield is quite impressive." The maniacal Kahn General commented. "I'll be sure to add it to my arsenal when you're gone."
He was ready to slam the shield down and decapitate Captain America…when webbing was shot in his eyes. This made him stagger as he dropped the shield and tried to pull the webbing off until the Infamous Spider-Man slammed his feet into the Kahn's general and away from the Captain.
"No one uses Cap's shield like that!" Spidey triumphantly before offering a hand to Captain America. "Sorry for being late. But I had to get a few extra hands to help out."
As Cap accepted the hand offered by the Web-Slinger, he sees what he meant as Johnny Cage shadow kicked several Tarkatans away from him with ease and Liu Kang blasting Kahn Guards with a dragon fire bursts. And of course, Raiden was up in the air, summoning his staff and sending it down to the earth where a massive wave for electricity was sent across the Outworld foes. The Avengers were surprised and confused by this new Thunderer that helped them out as Iron-Man came down to question Spidey about it.
"Uh, Spider-Man? Care to explain the new guys?"
"To put it bluntly, these guys are sort of like heroes from another dimension. And that guy's their own Thunder God." He explains, pointing to the Master of Storms in question. "I'm guessing he's of the Japanese Variety. Anyway, they're here because their dimension's sort of collapsing in our own."
"That explains the dimensional tears I'm reading are happening worldwide." Iron-Man replies as he's looking at the Phenomenon in his head's up display.
"Cap, Tony, we should work with these guys." Spidey went on. "Fury wouldn't listen, but Raiden told me that both our worlds are at risk at being destroyed if we don't do something fast."
"On that, we may have a common interest." Cap said. "We'll talk about it later. For now, we need tips. How do we stop these things?"
That is when Raiden came down and started to explain himself "The Tarkatan are relentless war dogs under the command of Shao Kahn, the Tyrannical Ruler of Outworld."
Hawkeye and Widow came by, the former snickering at the name of the other realm. "Snrk. Outworld? How did they come up with that title?"
Raiden turned his head to show the electricity flowing through his pupilless eyes, scowling at the archer who immediately shut up.
"They and the Kahn Guard will fight tirelessly until struck down permanently." He explained. "You need to finish them before they finish you."
"That's not how we do things around here." Captain American said back with a scowl. But not before he was about to get jumped by another Tarkatan, only for that menace to get hit in the head with a familiar-looking fan blade. Everyone looked to see Princess Kitana and Special Forces Lieutenant Sonya Blade coming from out of nowhere and stepping into the fight.
"That's our girls." Johnny Cage said under his breath. He and the other Kombatants have no problem taking the lives of Outworld's vermin, but this sort of left this Earth's Heroes with an Ultimatum. Half of them aren't really killers. They needed to make sure that their opponents stayed down.
"Where are our heavy hitters?" Spider-Man asked, referring to Thor and Hulk.
"Running late," Iron-Man answered. "The temporal anomaly may have interfered with Thor's portal to Earth. And the big guy? We asked him to wait in case this counted as a code green."
They were completely surrounded by an army of Kahn's war dogs.
"I'd say this counts as a code green, Tony." Hawkeye stuttered to say.
"Already callin' em now."
"Until then, we'll just have to survive for as long as we can. Don't hold back." Said the Good Captain before raising his voice. "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!"
"I'm loving these guys!" Cage yelled out loud as they engaged in battle. "This may be some comic dimension, and it's awesome!"
A soldier coming his way was blasted by energy rings, courtesy of Sonya. "Still complaining about why this is our lives?" She asked.
"Hey, it has its moments." Cage replied before fighting side by side with his dream girl.
Liu Kang and Kitana were fighting much the same as their enemies fell before them.
"What happened to you?" He asked her, to which she answered "I was transported back to Outworld when I saw the portal to this world and how Shao Kahn wasted no time sending his army. I followed him through it and meet with Sonya." She then sent a fan at a Kahn, cleaving his head in half.
"I'm glad to see you're alright." Liu Kang replied, punching a tarkatan's head off and flip-kicking back to its body, causing it to burst apart.
"Likewise. But let us survive this endeavor first before catching up first."
The Avengers were eyeing how quickly and almost effortlessly Raiden was taking out his batch of foes, electricity being blasted through them with each strike and without so much collateral damage...minus how he was turning enemies into stains of blood and guts with each finisher.
"Ugh, that's hard to look at." Hawkeye cringed at the sight of it. "But you gotta admit, it's effective."
"I wanna say, it brings me back, but I got nothing to relate to on this." Widow remarked.
"Huh. Never thought I'd hear you say that."
Spider-Man swung into action as he was punching Outworld warriors left and right, moving faster than they could react as they were blasted away with each strike. Even Tarkatans couldn't lay a finger on him before he webs them up and swings thems at each other with hammer throws. But that is when the fighting cleared around him, and he found himself face-to-face with Reiko.
"You fight well. Almost a shame I have to eradicate you." The insane General remarked.
"Nothing I've haven't heard before." Spidey replied. "But you won't be given the chance to take me down."
Reiko merely scowled before replying "I faced far greater kombatants than a costumed buffoon like you!" And with that, he charged into action.
"Buffoon? Moi?!" Spider-Man was insulted as he dodged Reiko's fist...and legs. He could see that this guy was moving like an MMA fighter, throwing his legs up in the air, trying to send the Web-Slinger flying up in the air. Spider could barely be able to dodge Reiko's red-glowing hands before sending his own fist at him. But Reiko was countering every move he was making and nearly bent Spider-Man's arm at an unusual angle, forcing the hero to pull back and fire some webbing at the General, who countered by throwing shurikens at them, cutting through his webbing and sending them at him.
"Whoa!" He exclaimed, dodging stars left and right before landing. He did feel a few cuts through his costume. "Okay. Throwing stars are a first."
"As slippery as a Zatarran, but a coward nonetheless." Reiko growled before summoning his Crude Hammer.
They continued to engage in combat before Spider-Man was able to finally realize the pattern in Reiko's moves, finally countering, grabbing the hammer, pulling it away, and then landing a punch on Reiko's face. And that was followed by a few more punches and then some sweeping kicks that left Reiko dazed before the Spider came up and uppercut him, sending him up in the air before he slammed down onto the ground.
But that wasn't enough to take Reiko down, as he got back up and spat out blood.
"Don't think you've bested me! For I will fight until my last breath!" The Mad General roared as he got himself back.
Spider-Man sighed before taking a stance himself "...Wow. And people call me annoying."
Switching weapons, Reiko brought a javelin from out of nowhere and started swinging it at the Wall-Crawler, who flipped around the weapon and dodged the blade on the weapon."Where does he get all these weapons from?!" He asked between flips and dodges.
"They are the standard weapons of the Kahn Guard!" Reiko yelled as he tried to impale Spider-Man, but the young hero was just barely able to dodge before breaking the weapon in half with his elbow and advancing on the General, who tossed aside the broken weapon and was forced to block the Web-Head's attacks flawlessly.
"You cannot win this!" The General started to retaliate, throwing punches that Spidey was barely able to dodge and flip away from Reiko before shooting his webbing once more. However, he fired strands right next to Reiko and at the floor.
"Your aim is poor!"
"I love it when the bad guys say that." Spider-Man remarked. Because for him, it's all the more sweeter for when he's able to rip pieces of the ground and swing them at his opponents and heavy attacks. Pretty soon, Reiko was slammed with pieces of concrete and sent to the ground once more, with Spider-Man ensuring he stays down this time, webbing him to the ground.
"Guess I can win this." The Web-Slinger remarked.
He turned to see Baraka advancing, having had his way with a now blade-scratched Iron-Man, and now brandishing those blades sticking out of his arms. The sight of them, and the Tarkatan's teeth made Spider-Man want to throw up.
"Yikes. And thought Wolverine was hard to look at." He joked, holding back his vomit.
Baraka snarled angrily, "Prepared to be flawed alive, insectoid!"
"Why can't anyone get I'm not an insect? Spiders are-WOAH!" Spidey stopped his pointless moping to dodge the incoming blades Baraka was sending his way. Having gone toe-to-toe with a certain tri-blade-fisted mutant before, Spider-Man had faith that he could handle a Tarkatan as he avoided each swing and thrust that Baraka was doing.
"Okay, let's try and avoid making Spidey-kabobs!" He joked before sending some webs into Baraka's eyes. The Tarkatan staggered back, ripping the webbing, but leaving himself open to Spidey's barrage of kicks to the face before the Web-Slinger slingshot himself and slammed right into Baraka's chest, feet first. This knocked Baraka down, but he was still slowly getting back up.
"Hmph. This is just too easy." Spidey remarked as he rubbed his hands, secretly reloading his web-shooters. Baraka snarled as he recovered, digging his blades into the ground, and then sending both arms upward, flinging sharpened concrete at the Web-Head, who flipped out of the way and went back to avoid Baraka's savage sword swinging attacks.
"Ha! What else you got?!"
He regretted asking when Baraka shot a spark from grinding his blade, striking him in the chest and knocking him down. Now Spidey's outfit had a huge gash near the center of his costume.
"Okay...that was unexpected."
Baraka roared before leaping upward and attempting to drive his blades through the downed Spider. But the Web-Slinger braced both his feet against the Tarkatan's chest and kicked him away before flipping back on his feet. Baraka quickly recovered himself and shot two more blade sparks at Spider-Man, who quickly flipped over them before sending his own projectiles, impact webs, that hit Baraka like a bag full of bricks. But the Kahn's favorite war dog has suffered greater blows than a few balled up webs.
"Your toys will not save you." The Tarkatan Leader growled. "I do not fear your little streams of silk."
"Oh, they're more than just that." Spider-Man said back as switched to one of his favorite gadgets, electric webs. Two streams of webs shot from his shooters with black prods at the end, and when they stuck to Baraka, the whole thing got electrified along with the fang-face, who growled in pain.
"Gotcha!" the hero exclaimed as Baraka aggressively went back into slash at him, only for Spider-Man to shoot another pair of web strand, webbing up both of the Tarkatan hands before flipping behind him and pulling at the webs, forcing Baraka to cross his arms before one last good tug and he wound him punching himself in the face, knocking himself out.
"Whew. Got a little lucky there, I'll admit." Spider-Man took a breather before looking at the warzone the whole place as become. But it was a battle that the Avengers and Kombatants were slowly beginning to win with their new allies, being pros at fighting Outworld forces such as this, were pushing them back swiftly and brutally.
"Ha! Alright, who's next!" Johnny Cage yelled out. However, he was met with something hitting him...but no one was there. The others were confused by this, looking around, but they were also seemingly hit by nothing-thin air. Captain America's instinctive reflexes made him raise the shield against something that his gut was telling him was right in front of him...and they proved to be right when acid spit came out of nowhere and hit the shield. Their new assailant made himself as he came out of camouflage and showed his scaley skin, a human physique with a ninja-like outfit, clawed reptilian hands and bare feet, and a head that was covered by a mask, but most can tell that it wasn't exactly human-shaped. This was Reptile, last of the Zaterrans and Outworld's most feared stealth operative.
He hissed when the Captain came into an attack, but he countered his moves and used his ferocious, animal-like attacks to slowly overpower the Super Soldier, hit the shield with his fist and with super strength and pushing Rogers back.
"Well, this day just keeps getting better and better." He remarked before Spider-Man stepped up to take this fight.
"So Outworld has its own Lizard. As if I didn't have enough of that already."
"I am Reptile." The Zaterran growled. "And I will bathe in your blood, petty human!"
"Petty?! Alright, I've had it with these weirdos insulting me." Spider-Man cracked his knuckles and stepped up. "Just so you know, I've taken down a reptile that was much scarier than you."
"Fear will not matter once you're dead!" And with that, Reptile slid over to the Wall-Crawler and began throwing his fists and feet him with slithering speed. Compared to the other two he just faced, Spider-Man felt like this guy was more trouble than he was worth. He matched the Spider, step from step, countering every move he made and almost leaving them in a stalemate, if it weren't for Spider-Man getting blasted be something that was gooey and disgusting, one of Reptile's very own forceballs. Spider-Man slid back and caught himself, recovering from that one weird attack.
"Okay, these guys keep surprising me." He said as he soon saw Reptile swiftly running at him. He was about to block whatever attack this big lizard had in store...but wasn't ready to have it delivered from behind, taking an elbow to the back of the head. That sent Spider-Man to the ground, knocking him out-cold as Reptile then grabbed the Arachnid by the head and lifted him up before opening his giant maw and looking ready to feast.
But a shield strike to the face kept that from happening, courtesy of Captain America.
"No one's feeding on my friends." he said, Liu Kang stepping by him as Reptile wiped the green blood from his mouth. The Shaolin Monk then sent a blast of dragon fire, which Reptile quickly dodges before dashing their way. But he was stopped at 5 feet away from them and pulled back by some webbing. Turns out Spider-Man recovered as quickly as he does and used his webbing to swing the Zaterran over his head and slam him to the ground.
Rubbing the back of his head, Spider looked to his allies with gratefulness, saying "Thanks for the assist, guys. But I would've had him by the next minute."
"He has the qualities of any respectful warrior." Liu Kang said to the Captain. "Brave, yet stubborn."
Rogers got a chuckle from that. "Heh. You're telling us."
Reptile quickly recovered and Spider-Man turned to face him again.
"Your techniques are useless against a Zaterran!" The Raptor snarled.
"Keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better." This time, Spider-Man was the one to attack first, powering on through and catching Reptile off with a barrage of quick, yet heavy punches. But the Zatarren quickly pulls himself back and then renders himself invisible. Spider-Man looked around, not even able to hear him, but could tell he was there; his Spider-Sense never lied. Soon, Reptile reappeared swinging his fist, which Spider-Man blocked and sent his fist into his chest, making Reptile invisible again. Spidey could then sense him doing the same elbow dash from before and swung his leg backward so that Reptile was met with a foot to the face. Then he disappeared again.
"Is that all you got?!" Spidey called out, but then almost regretted it when Reptile reappeared and spat acid at him. The Web-Slinger quickly created a shield of webbing that took the attack before he flipped away and aimed his shooter at Reptile. A small projectile shot out of it and landed in the Saurian's mouth, hitting the back of his throat.
"Hulrk!" Reptile exclaimed, wondering what that was before the capsule exploded in his mouth and filled it full of webbing. He held his neck, trying to gasp for air as he couldn't breathe for a moment. It was not one of Spider-Man's favored strategies, but it worked and it game him enough time to flip-kick Reptile right in the face once more, knocking him into the ground once more.
"Good thing my webbing dissolves in an hour or so." He sighed.
Captain America and Liu Kang walked over to the Spider, both with small smiles on their face.
"Thought you got rid of those after the...one incident." Cap said.
"I...keep all sorts of gadgets handy, in case of an emergency." Spidey replied, rubbing the back of their head. "At least Carol's not around. She still hadn't forgiven me about nearly suffocating her with that web-capsule, huh?"
Liu Kang looked around to see that they had won the battle, the Guards and Tarkatan heading back to the portal they came from. "The fight has ended. The Outworlders are retreating."
"Let's regroup with the others." Captain America ordered as the two followed.
The Avengers and Kombatants got together in front of he vortex, a giant otherworld portal that coursing with energy, the ground shaking around it.
"Okay, so...how exactly do we close this thing?" Hawkeye asked.
Raiden stood in front of the portal and made his hands course with electricity, which he then sent all around the vortex in an attempt to close it. But even the Thunder God was struggling to seal the rift in space and time, as this was the direct result of an unwelcomed merger of the realms.
Pretty soon, he lost his grip, shocking his followers as Liu Kang and Johnny Cage walked up to him.
"I cannot close it." Raiden. "The energy surrounding the portal is too unstable, too volatile. It would take a great amount of power that I do not possess."
"I believe I can help out with that."
Everyone's attention turned to see a goateed man in blue robes, a long red cloak, and a gold amulet, floating down from all the excitement and walk up to the portal to meet Raiden.
"Who's the wizard?" Johnny immediately asked.
"Doctor Strange, Sorcery Supreme. Most powerful wizard in our world." Spider-Man gave his basic resume of the man.
"And the preferred term is 'Master of the Mystic Arts'." Strange said before looking over to the Protector of Earthrealm. "Lord Raiden. It's an honor."
"You know who I am?" Raiden asked.
"And what is happening to our worlds. I believe we can work together to stop this from spreading, if you allow me to do so."
Spider-Man stepped up and said "I'd listen to him, Raiden. If anyone could help out with what's going on, it's Strange here."
"In more ways than one." Cage joked, getting an elbow from Sonya.
"Very well. With me." And with that, Raiden and Doctor Strange walked up to the portal and concentrated both their powers and magics to close it. Even with their combined strength, it was still a grazing task, but everyone else present stood back and watched as they slowly but surely got the portal closed.
"Okay, this is an awesome sight to see, but can we speed things up?" Iron-Man said impatiently.
But just as he had to jinx it, right when the portal was so close to being shut, a giant fist came through it and knocked back Strange and Raiden, causing it to grow back to full size as something else was stepping through. Something big, hulk-size big.
"Oh great. Now what?" Hawkeye whined as everyone got into a stand. Coming through the portal was a giant, bulky, muscular being with three-fingered and toed hands and feet, brown and semi-dragon-scaled skin, a long ponytail, and the most distinguishing feature, a set of four arms. Goro, Prince of the Shokans, Former Outworld Champion of Mortal Kombat, and someone whose vendetta with the Protectors of the Realms runs deep.
"Okay, today is certainly full of surprises." Spider-Man muttered.
The Shokan roared loudly before charging at the Heroes, who all scattered. Liu Kang sent a flying kick from behind, but that merely staggered the prince who merely swung his fists back and barely missed the Shaolin, who backflipped away from him. Captain America and Iron-Man both went in to attack, only for them to be met with Goro swinging at them, getting them both and forcing them on his backs.
"Ugh. It's like fighting Hulk all over again." Stark grumble.
"Speak of which, where is he, Tony?!" Hawkeye yelled as he kept shooting arrows while Black Widow went in.
"He got the message. He'll be here."
Widow jumped and flipped around Goro as he tried to grab her, but she wasn't expecting him to be faster than he looked as he swung his arms around her and managed to grab her by the leg and throw her off of him. Hawkeye came by to assist her and managed to hit Goro with an explosive arrow near his face, but that only seemed to make the Shokan angrier as he fired a Shokan Bolt from his fists, blasting Hawkeye away from him.
"Oh, that is so not fair!" the archer whined.
Johnny Cage went in with a shadow kick, but he was knocked away. Sonya and Kitana were both struck with Shokan Blasts, and Goro could see that Raiden and Dr. Stranger were the only ones left, readying themselves for a charge...or so he thought. Spider-Man suddenly reappeared and webbed up Goro's (upper) right arm before swinging around and covering up his upper body in webbing, before moving down in an attempt to immobilize the Shokan. But Goro was proving to be stronger that the webbing, breaking through it easily, even as Spider-Man completely covered him from head to toe in several layers of the stuff. The Shokan ripped the stuff away and grabbed hold of the web-sling, taking his arms and legs in his four hands and intending to rip him apart as Spider-Man tried to hold back screaming in pain. The Thunder God and Sorcery Supreme were about to interfere, when...
"RRRAAAAAAAWWWWW!"
Something as big as Goro, but bulkier, greener, and angrier, came falling out of the sky and crashing down on the Shokan Prince. The Incredible Hulk was finally in the fight and was pissed at Goro for trying to rip apart his little pal. He was smashing his fist into Goro's face without relenting but wasn't ready for when Goro used all his arms to get him to back off. Soon, both giants stood before each other, ready for the next round.
"It's been a long time since I've met a worthy opponent." the Goron Prince spoke. "I will see your head mounted on my wall."
Hulk huffed. "Come get it then, four-arms."
"I am Goro! Prince of the Shokan! And for your arrogance, I will grant you Death's meaning."
Both brutes roared mightily before charging at each other, their fists colliding and shaking the very foundation of the city. Cracks formed down the roads and up the buildings, one of them heading up to one of the Daily Bugle's digital billboards, with their J. Jonah Jameson on screen.
"And I can confirm that the most recent disturbances in downtown are caused by that menacing Spider-Man and the so-called heroes that foolishly stand with him. One of these days, we will have to rid our city-" The billboard was split in half from the shaking, and Spider-Man got a laugh out of it.
"Heh. Wish I could see that again." the downed hero said while Raiden and Strange healed him. He was back to full strength within a minute and brought himself back on his feet, shaking off the aftereffects. "Okay. I'm back in the game."
"Be careful, Spider-Man. Shokan are some of the most dangerous beings in Outworld." Raiden warned.
"I've dealt with worse."
Confident that he would make it through this leaped over to the battle of the two giants, shot webs at a manhole cover, and pried it out of the road before spinning in midair, swinging it around, and letting it slam right into the head of the Shokan. Goro had his head reeled back from that, giving Hulk an opening to smash his fists at the monster. Spidey then had a webbing pulled over Goro's face and with all his strength, he pulled it down, trying to the Shokan down onto his back, but only forcing him to use his low arms to try and push himself back up. Hulk helped out by jumping high and coming down hard on him. Goro tried to retaliate, punching the big green giant in the face relentlessly, managing to get him off of him before the Shokan got himself off his back, took to all six as he turned to the web-slinger, and charged at him like a beast. Spider acted fast and flipped to the side before webbing onto Goro's back and started riding him like a horse. The Shokan Prince tried to grab him or shake him off, unable to stop himself from charging as Spider-Man managed to pull him around before slamming himself into a huge truck, head first.
He then jumps off and lands behind him, saying "You make Rhino look good."
The Shokan furiously pulled his head out of the wrecked vehicle and then lifted it up onto his shoulder, like a weapon. "I will not loose to a lanky mortal!"
"Lanky?!" Spider-Man was offended
Roaring, Goro started swinging the vehicle around, slamming it to the ground, causing shockwaves, but Spider-Man still had the advantage of being up in the air, swinging around the Shokan before getting in close as Goro did another attack, he sent both his feet into his face. Goro barely staggered as he was about to attack, but was met with Hulk again smashing his fist into the monster, making him drop the wrecked car, which Hulk quickly grabbed hold of and smashed over Goro. It was like fighting the Shaolin Monks all over again as the Prince could not get the better of either opponent, one being fast, slippery, and surprisingly strong, the other brutish and matching him in strength. Deciding to finish this, both heroes rushed at the Shokan with Hulk uppercutting him and sending him up in the air before both jumped up and Spider-Man did something both crazy...and realistically impossible. He shot webs at hulk, pulled at the threads, and with all his strength, began spinning and swinging Hulk at high speed before they both went down he sent Hulk down first, with the big green giant slamming down on Goro like a meteor, creating a huge crater that went all over the area.
The other heroes and kombatants were in awe by this as both Spider-Man and Hulk walked out of the crater, the former shaking off the shock before getting a huge pat on the back by his buddy.
"Love our team ups. Makes things more fun." Hulk said with a smirk on his face.
"Heh. Glad you enjoyed it, big guy." Spider-Man. "But I've had just about all I can take."
Raiden and Dr. Strange then walked up to the two, with the Sorcerer saying "Hulk, would you be so kind as to send our guest through that?" he points to the portal. Nodding, Hulk takes Goro by his upper arms, spinning and swinging him around before flinging him back to the portal, where he was sent back to Outworld. With all threats no neutralized, the Thunder God and the Sorcerer Supreme got back to work and closing the portal, this time with greater success. The area may have been a wreck, but at least the rest of the city was saved.
"Okay...now that we've gone through all that, we need to talk." Iron-Man walked over to their temporary allies, standing before Raiden. "What do we do now? If our worlds are merging, how do we stop now?"
"We must find the rest of allies, and the source to the merger." Raiden replied. "There is no doubt that it is the cause of Shinnok and the Kamidogu that is the cause of this."
"Shin-what and Kami-who?"
"He'll fill you in on the details later." Spider-Man said. "For now, let's-" But he stopped when he saw the S.H.I.E.L.D. Tri-Carrier flying over the city. "Aw, crumbs..."
None of them new it yet, but this was just a start. A taste of things to come..."
