Akame Ga Kill: Kill the Second Chance

Quick Note – Before we head into the chapter, I want to make an announcement and it's not one of those bad announcements of the story coming to an end or deleting it. It's more of a changing chapter title instead of making part chapters.

I have decided to make this chapter a new chapter because I don't want to keep deleting the chapters just to reupload them after combining them. Combining the chapters isn't much hard work, but it's so annoying to do and it makes me…argh. You get the idea. So, after doing some thinking, I've decided to write a new chapter. The chapter title is the same as the third chapter, but part two.

Also, there are two things I wanted to mention and one of them involves with Tatsumi asking for Leone's name in the previous chapter. The first thing I wanted to mention was the scar Sheele has on her face. That scar was not from changing events in the timeline. She had gotten the scar during a mission with Mine, which can be explained in the manga version of Akame Ga Kill, book 8. That book will explain the scar I'm talking about.

The second thing I wanted to say is Tatsumi asking for Leone's name. There was a review about Leone not reacting when Tatsumi said her name and that review made me look back at the chapter to see I made a couple mistakes. I haven't added the 'completely unaware' part because I was in a rush to get the part chapter done. It was taking a while to write and I was getting headaches from it, so I'm blaming the headaches for not making realized the mistakes. But anyways, I went back and edit the chapter the way it was supposed to be.

Alright, that is everything I wanted to say in the quick note. I know I was supposed to reveal the four people who will get their spirits but I'm not ready yet because I need to figure out names for the spirits. I'm really not much of a planning guy when it comes to writing chapters. But once I do come up with names I like, I will reveal the spirits for the four people in the next chapter.

I hope you guys enjoy reading this story and without further ado, let's head right into the chapter!

Enjoy the chapter.

Chapter Four: Back at The Capital Again (Part Two)

(In the Northern District of the Capital; With Tatsumi and Leone)

"Leone, I don't want to sound rude or anything, but how much longer until we get to this bar you know?" Tatsumi asked with a bit of annoyance in his voice, as he walked side-by-side with a relaxed and smiling Leone, who was still holding his hand but had her head leaning against his upper arm. "It's been almost an hour since we began heading there. While I do like walking beside you, I would like to get something to eat."

What Tatsumi said was true, it has nearly been almost an hour since he and Leone met and began heading towards the bar to spend time with each other. Normally, the brown-hair assassin wouldn't complained about the time it takes to get somewhere, but the reason why he's feeling annoyed was because he was hungry. He hadn't eaten nothing this morning, except a plain ham sandwich with a glass of water, and he needed to get something to eat before he gets ready to meet the noble heiress tonight.

During the walk towards the bar, Leone hadn't once let go of Tatsumi's hand, not even when he suggested to walk side-by-side, and she wasn't intending to let go. She was going keep holding onto the hand that keeps her warm and protected, while leaning more of her body onto her date's body. Tatsumi didn't mind at all that Leone was holding onto his hand or leaning her head against his arm, along with her body; he was glad she was doing that. It made him happy and caused a weight to be off his shoulders. If there was one thing he cared about, it was seeing Leone again, alive and not dying out because of blood loss.

Thinking about Leone's death in the old timeline was enough to caused Tatsumi to gain a dark look in his eyes and clench his other free hand tightly. He was not going to let that happened, not on his watch. He will slaughter every Imperial soldier in his path if Leone did die.

"We're almost there, Tatsumi, we're almost there. We just have to walk down this path, turn left and we will be able to see the bar." Leone replied with defense in her voice, the smile on her face diminishing a bit when she heard the annoyance in Tatsumi's voice, but she perked up when he said he liked walking beside her, which caused a small blush to appear on her face. 'Again, with the compliments. If this keeps up, I know for certain that I'm going to fall for his charm.'

Tatsumi didn't say anything but merely let out a non-audible sigh, hoping what Leone said about the bar being around the corner at the end of the path they were walking was true, before vanishing the dark look in his eyes and unclenching his fist. There was no need to explain about the dark look or why he was clenching his fist, even though he can come up with a lie.

True to Leone's word, the bar she and Tatsumi were currently heading towards was around the corner and it was packed with people, something that made the blonde-hair woman worried. Why is the bar packed with so many people? It wasn't even famous, for god's sake, and it was only afternoon! The entertainment it provides won't be available until night time. But Leone wanted to know one question that's on her mind: Why is the bar packed with so many people? Is there a special event that's happening or was it something else like a birthday party?

Either way, Leone was extremely upset.

'Well, so much to enjoy my very first date with a handsome man,' Leone thought sadly, glancing down at the ground to hide the depressed look on her face. What she thought was true, this was her very first date and it was now ruined by the pack of people. She had never gone on dates because none of the men she knew in the Capital can make her feel satisfied and loved. She wasn't interested of doing a one-time thing like those other women, she wanted to be with a man who would care for her, love her, comfort her, understand her and protect her, even though she can protect herself. 'I guess I'll have to reschedule the date some other time.'

Leone was very reluctant to reschedule the date, but what choice does she have? This bar she and Tatsumi were looking at was the only place that serves good food and drinks, unlike the other bars in the Capital. Those said bars only serves for the Imperial Army and their food and drinks taste terrible. The blonde-hair woman grimaced inwardly from remembering the food she had foolishly tried when she was gathering information for a recon mission. Just one bite of the food and taking a drink was enough to make her extremely sick before she spit it out.

'Don't think about the terrible food and drinks, Leone, you made a promise to yourself you would never think about it again,' Leone thought firmly, not wanting to think about the horrible food and drinks. The last thing she needed was to think about that and become extremely sick, which would greatly embarrass the hell out of her. 'You have bigger things to worry about, starting with rescheduling the date. But how can say it without angering Tatsumi?'

While Leone was thinking how to reschedule the date without making her date angry in her mind, Tatsumi was having his own thoughts, which was about the bar he was looking at. 'When Leone said she knew a bar that serves great food and drinks, I didn't expect this place to be packed with people. It's only afternoon and bars are usually busy during the evenings, though I could be wrong since I have never been to another bar in the old timeline, not since what Leone did when we first met.' That last thought made his eyebrow twitched in irritation.

If there was one thing Tatsumi would never forget about, even in death, it was the memory of Leone stealing his money when they first met. It was childish to hold a grudge that happened in the old timeline since he needed to move on, but he couldn't get over it; the way she had manipulative him and his ignorance of the Capital, telling him she had connections to the Imperial Army, only to ditch him when he handed her his entire money, it took a mixed of cunning, intelligence, patience and skill to pull it off...and that pissed him off.

But this time, Tatsumi was ready and prepared for Leone's manipulation. There was no way in hell he was going to get manipulated again. Not this time. He was going to turn the tables on her, he was going to do the manipulation by using Leone's own ignorance, which said ignorance was him knowing the truth of the Capital, and he was going so going to enjoy the look on her face when she realized she got duped by a country boy. Oh, the look on her face was going to be fantastic!

However, for some strange reason, Tatsumi felt himself not wanting to dupe Leone, causing a frown to appear on his face. Why is he founding himself not wanting to do it? It was only going to be a bit of payback for what she had done in the old timeline, and he wasn't going to be an asshole when doing it. He wasn't that kind of person who would play cruel jokes. But he still had a question that's on his mind: Why does he not want to dupe Leone? It wasn't until after thinking inwardly for a few moments that Tatsumi figured out what the answer to his question was, which made him go still as a statue.

Hesitation.

That was the answer to Tatsumi's question. Hesitation was the reason why he doesn't want to dupe Leone. It wasn't much of a surprised to have hesitation since everyone in the world has it, including those who tried to hide it, no matter how hard they denied. Even confident people have hesitation, but they don't let it interfere with their work because they needed to be focus. Without focus, you won't get whatever you're doing done.

But Tatsumi was having different thoughts about hesitation, and he was currently thinking about it in his mind since he doesn't want Leone to know the problem he's facing, despite not knowing she was lost in her thoughts of figuring out a way to reschedule the date. However, it wasn't calm thoughts Tatsumi was thinking in his mind.

'Why am I feeling hesitation for the very first time in the new timeline?!' Tatsumi thought demandingly, continued to stand still as a statue. 'It shouldn't be possible! I made a vow to never let hesitation consumed me when I was training to control both my Danger-Beast's and Teigu's power! That vow shaped me to become what I am! A harden, cold-blooded, fierce warrior!' It was true, he had made a vow of not letting hesitation consumed him when he was training to control his powers and the vow was made a week later after he gotten used of being back in time. Can't make a vow if you're not used of being back in time. 'The only time I felt hesitation was when I couldn't kill a single Empire mercenary after I joined Night Raid, and it almost costed me my life! All because I couldn't kill a human being! Luckily, Akame killed the mercenary and told me to never hesitate during a mission, otherwise I will lose my life.'

That last thought made a small smile appeared on Tatsumi's face, relieving some of the tension in his body, even though he still wanted to know why he was feeling hesitation. This wasn't the first time he had gotten angry over something and demanded answers in his mind; the first time it happened was when he was trying to figure out how to unlock his Teigu powers. He didn't need to unlock his Danger-Beast powers since it was already unlocked to begin with, due to him being a half human/half Danger-Beast. Tatsumi didn't dare think about the training he had to do if his Danger-Beast powers didn't unlock. The thought of it was enough to scare him.

But anyways, Tatsumi had gotten angry when he was trying to figure out how to unlock his Teigu powers and it didn't take long for him to start demanding questions in his mind, which was always the same questions. It was either, 'How do I unlock my Teigu powers?' or 'Is there a part of me I need to give up in order to unlock my Teigu powers?' It was stupid to demand the same questions over and over again, but in Tatsumi's defense, he was a kid back then, even though he was an adult in a kid's body.

Whenever Tatsumi was about to explode in rage after not finding the answer to the questions in his mind, he would suddenly think about his friends he had bonded with in Night Raid and thinking about his friends makes all the anger inside him vanished, as if it was never there to begin with. It was…a strange habit he picked up during his training, but whenever he becomes angry, sad, bitter, tensed or depressed, he would think about his friends in Night Raid and all of the negative emotions he has inside him vanished into nothingness, all because he thinks about his friends.

While some people thought it was nice to think about friends that gets rid of negative emotions, others thought it was stupid because friendship is for weaklings. As some people would say, 'There is no friendship in the world, there is only power and those who cannot get it are weak.'

'How many people in the world will continue to believe that stupid survival of the fittest?' Tatsumi thought with grimace, remembering the people he met in the old timeline believing in the survival of the fittest, which said people were Wild Hunt, the Four Rakshasa Demons, Honest, Ogre and Esdeath. 'It does not only tear families apart, even though it didn't happen between Akame and Kurome since the latter believe the Empire wasn't doing anything bad but corrupts people to the point they believe they are superior to others, making them arrogant, cocky and hot-headed.'

Tatsumi couldn't help but scoff silently at the 'superior' word. Just because people believe in the survival of the fittest, it doesn't make them superior; it makes them, as he said, arrogant, cocky and hot-headed to the point they can become reckless and make poor decisions, such as bragging and taunting enemies instead killing them, letting their guards down when around tortured prisoners or a mercenary group and getting too focused in a battle you're not aware of your surroundings. By the time you are aware of your surroundings, it's too late because you're already dead.

Those reasons are the reason why many people die because of believing the survival of the fittest. While it may be a good thing, it wasn't because it leads to people's downfall. For example, Syura believe he was superior than everyone around him, including the emperor, and that made him very arrogant and cocky. The arrogance and cockiness grew larger when he captured Tatsumi and Lubbock before he started torturing the latter for information. He had gotten angry at first because he kept getting useless information, forcing him to increase the torture on Lubbock, but when Lubbock finally cracked to give him useful information, Syura's already very high arrogance grew even larger to the point he did not notice the trap he had walked into, the trap that had gotten him killed.

Tatsumi did not felt any sympathy or pity towards the Prime Minister's son, but only vengeance and a desire to end his life. That bastard was a monster, way worse than his very sick father, and needed to be taken out. The Revolutionary Army cannot afford to let this guy escape death. Who knows what he'll do when he escapes? The only question is, how should Syura be taken out?

Tatsumi's rather dark thoughts about ending the Prime Minister's son was broken when Leone, who had finally come up with the perfect plan to reschedule the date without angering him, started shaking his arm to gain his attention. "Tatsumi? Are you in there? You have been quiet for a while."

"Sorry, Leone, I was lost in my thoughts," Tatsumi replied, being honest with himself, while slightly cursing himself for being too deep into his thoughts. He made a mental note to never go too deep into his thoughts. "Is there something wrong?"

"Well…" Leone started to say, only to become hesitated. 'Damn it, Leone! Stop being scared and tell Tatsumi the truth!' Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she began talking again. "Yes, there is a problem, Tatsumi, and it involves our date." Tatsumi looked surprised at that but didn't say anything, which was a gesture for Leone to continued talking. "Because the bar I know is packed with people and it's going to take a while until we can get a table…we're going have to reschedule the date to some other time."

There it is, Leone had done it. She had just said the words she was hesitating to say. She was mentally prepared for the angry demands Tatsumi will no doubt say to her once the words register in his mind, which may probably take a couple minutes since he did say he was lost in his thoughts.

Yet, Tatsumi didn't look angry at all, much to Leone's relief. In fact, he looked extremely confused. "Why do we need to reschedule the date when we can just wait for a table?"

"Did you not just hear what I said, Tatsumi?" Leone asked, feeling annoyed Tatsumi didn't listen to her.

"I did hear you, Leone, but there's no point of rescheduling the date just because the bar is pack with people. There might be a table available for us to sit."

"If not?" Leone raised a challenging eyebrow.

"Then we'll just have to find a different bar to eat."

"No!" Leone suddenly exclaimed, startling Tatsumi and other passing citizens. "Sorry, but I really don't want to eat at a different bar. The food and drinks taste like shit; one bite is enough to make you extremely sick." She shuddered from remembering once again the horrible food and drinks.

"Seeing you shudder like that, I take it you experienced of tasting the food and drinks before, right?" Tatsumi asked, even though it's more of a statement than a question, as he placed a comfort hand on Leone's shoulder. His action earned him a smile from the blonde-hair woman, glad for the comfort.

"I did and it's something I do not want to eat again." Leone looked very determined when she said that and Tatsumi couldn't blame her. If he tried horrible food and drinks, he would be very determined to not eat it again.

"Well, if you don't want to eat at a different bar, Leone, then let's just eat here. You did say the food and drinks taste great and I am willingly to try it."

"But what if we don't get a table, Tatsumi? We could be standing in line for all day!"

"Maybe, but we don't have much of a choice," Tatsumi said, releasing a sigh. He was getting tired of standing in the street and he needed to get something to eat. "Unless you know another great bar in the Capital we can eat at, Leone, we're going have to wait in line until we can get a table. I don't like to stand in line and I'm sorry for this decision, but we have no choice. We have to stand in line and wait until we can get a table."

"Damn it!" Leone hissed, turning her head away to hide the tears that developed in her eyes. This wasn't how it was supposed to go on her very first date, it was supposed to be a happy date by making jokes, getting to know each other, talk about favorite hobbies and maybe even kissing each other, despite she and Tatsumi hadn't gone on many dates. But thanks to the pack of people outside the bar, the date was ruined. "I can't believe this! My very first date with a handsome man is ruined and I won't be able to enjoy it!" It wasn't long until the tears in her eyes started pouring out like a flowing river.

"Hey, hey, don't cry, Leone," Tatsumi soothed softly, wrapping his arms around Leone and pulling her closed to his body where she silently cried. "The date isn't ruined, it just hasn't started yet. We can still get to know each other."

"But…but…" Leone choked out, still sobbing silently that forced Tatsumi to tighten his hold on her.

"No buts. I intend to make our date not only spectacular but enjoyable since it's also my first date, and I will be damned to let it end like this. Not on my watch. Now, why don't you go get some ice cream from that stand over there, while I'll get a reservation for us? It shouldn't be too hard to get one since the place doesn't look expensive to me." After giving Leone a kiss on the forehead and wiping her tears away with one hand, Tatsumi unwrapped his arms around her and headed towards the bar to get a reservation for a table, maybe even a private room if the bar has it, leaving an extremely shocked, yet slightly blushing, Leone behind.

Leone was stunned at the fact Tatsumi wanted to keep the date going, despite her wanting to reschedule it to some other time. Why does he want to keep the date going? Was it because of what he said about her when they met? About her being interesting, beautiful, fun, a caring person and a loyal friend to help those who need help? That can't be the reason why. He barely knows her at all, doesn't know about the truth of the Capital since he's a country person and doesn't seem to have that kind of money to get a reservation. Reservations in the Capital are expensive and only noble people can afford them.

That last sentence made Leone stared at Tatsumi with a hidden suspicious look under her puffy eyes. Was he really a country person? He dresses exactly like a country person, but it could very well be a disguise to get close enough to her before he either kidnaps her or kills her. There was no doubt in her mind that she needed to very careful on this date. Noble people are usually very nasty towards both country and common people because they believe they are superior than them, though mostly it's about wealth.

'Either way, I would still have to be careful on this date,' Leone thought, continuing to stare at Tatsumi until he entered the bar. 'If Tatsumi really is a noble person and just saying those things about me so that he can get close to me, then I will have no choice but end his life tonight. The world could always have fewer noble people since they're sick and cruel. However, I still need to remember my original mission of asking him if he has the scent of Tyrant on him. There's just no way he had fused with a beast that was feared above others.' Leone released a sigh, suddenly feeling tired. 'I could really use a drink right now, but since Tatsumi's getting a reservation at the bar, I might as well get some ice cream.'

With that, Leone made her way towards the ice cream stand Tatsumi pointed out, hoping the ice cream would be enough to relieve some of the stress in her body. She was going to need it when she and Tatsumi starts their date and once they get to know each other, the blonde-hair woman will ask the important question she needed to know: Does Tatsumi have the scent of Tyrant on him or fused with one? If he killed the beast instead of fusing with it, then Night Raid won't see him as a threat but a possible recruit for the Revolutionary Army. However, if he fused with the terrifying beast instead of having the scent all over him, Night Raid will have to take him out.

'I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that when I report the information I gathered to Night Raid,' Leone thought, sitting down of a bench with a cup of ice cream in her hand but wasn't eating it because she was currently thinking about Tatsumi. 'I did say I was starting to like him, but don't want to proceed further if he's a noble person.' The mere thought of her and a noble person dating was enough to make her shudder in disgust. 'Great, now I got the image stuck in my head. But anyways, I don't want to kill Tatsumi if he fused with a Tyrant. Is it possible I can convince the others not to kill him? If we don't kill him, we might be able to recruit him for the Revolutionary Army, maybe even Night Raid. But how can I convince the others without me sounding like I'm falling for the guy?

Because Leone was deep into her thoughts about convincing her fellow assassins to not kill Tatsumi if he fused with a Tyrant, she did not noticed the said person was walking towards her with a pleased look on his face. He had managed to get a reservation for a private room that only costs two hundred gold pieces, and it took nearly three minutes to get the room, due to him giving the owner of the bar one thousand gold pieces.

Normally, Tatsumi wouldn't have that kind of money in the past, but due to him destroying Imperial hideouts and raiding the places for not only weapons, but money as well, let's just say his wealth can match any noble family. Of course, he made sure to hide it from his village so that they couldn't find it, especially Sayo and Ieyasu. Those two would no doubt waste the money in a single day, but he can't talk smack about that since he wasted all his money in the old timeline when he first met Leone.

'I'm not going to let Leone steal my money again like last time,' Tatsumi thought, determined not to make the same mistake like in the old timeline. 'If it happens again, I'm going to not only lose my mind but go on a ravage in the Capital tonight that will greatly altered the timeline. I know I should let the same events happened again, but I'll alter the timeline if Leone takes all my money again.' Tatsumi shook his head a few times to clear his thoughts. He shouldn't be thinking about that at all, he should be thinking about his date with Leone, who was now eating the cup of ice cream and still waiting for him to get a reservation. Oh, he was going to like the look on her face when she realized he managed to get a reservation for a private room.

But one thing was certain: The date has officially begun.

(Time-Skip; In the Bar's Private Room)

The private room Tatsumi and Leone were residing in for their date was quite fancy and elegant, something they weren't completely expecting at all, given how the Capital was heavily corrupted. They had thought the room would be nice-looking and stylish, not elegant and fancy. There are two questions in their minds Tatsumi and Leone desperately wanted to know: How did the owner of the bar manage to save enough money to build a fancy elegant room and why did no one who went to this bar say anything about it?!

The private room could be described as a noble's dining room without the portraits of their ancestors. It was large with dark brown wooden tiles, polished wooden walls, expensive-looking dark red carpets with a gold trim, a dining table in the middle with several utensils, a wine cabinet on the left side and a beautiful glass chandelier on the ceiling.

"Okay, this is not what I was expecting when I ordered the private room," Tatsumi stated a few moments later after he was done looking around the room he and Leone are going to be spending in with awe and disbelief on his face. "I was expecting it to be nice-looking, not…this."

"My thoughts were exactly as yours, Tatsumi," Leone seconded, also having the same emotions, awe and disbelief, on her face when she was looking around the room. "I have been to this bar many times before and I didn't even know the owner had such fancy and elegant private rooms." If she had known this, she would've asked – more like begging – the owner if she could stay in the rooms whenever she needs some peace and quiet.

"Really?" Tatsumi turned to stare at Leone in surprise. "You didn't know about the private rooms being fancy and elegant?" He couldn't help but let out a playful gasp and clutch his chest. "Oh, my! The woman I'm dating doesn't know about private rooms being fancy and elegant? The world must be ending!"

"Shut up!" Leone swatted Tatsumi's arm, her face flushing red in embarrassment and anger, but mostly embarrassment. The embarrassment grew more when Tatsumi began laughing, causing the blonde woman to tightly grit her teeth. If he didn't have the scent of Tyrant on him, she would've sucker-punched him to oblivion for teasing her, but since she was on a mission to gather information, she will have to endure the teasing, despite it being a joke.

Still chuckling at the flushed look on Leone's face, Tatsumi walked over to the dining table and sat down on one end, which caused his date to snap out of her frustrated, yet embarrassed, state and sat down on the other end, the flushed look vanishing after taking a breath. When they start talking after they are done eating their food, Leone will get back at Tatsumi for teasing her. She will get him back.

It didn't take long for Tatsumi and Leone to order their food and drinks, and eat in comfortable silence, the food tasting exactly what the latter said during the walk towards the bar: Great and delicious. Tatsumi will admit his eyes widened to size as dinner plates when he first took a bite of his food – he had never tasted food so great before in his life! Except Akame's and Susanoo's. He couldn't wait to eat their food again – and he was already making a mental note to come back to this bar whenever he went to the Capital during a Night Raid mission or gathering supplies.

Tatsumi and Leone continued to eat their delicious food in comfortable silence, not bothering to make a light conversation since their minds were focused on the food. Well, one of them is. The blonde-hair woman was the only one not focused on her food since she was having a mental conversation in her mind.

'Come on, Leone! How hard is it to start a conversation with your date without making it suspicious?' Leone thought, furious with herself for being uncertain about how to start a conversation. 'Apparently, given how this is my first date, that hard since I'm not sure what to ask!' She knew full well she couldn't just go straight to the point and bluntly asked Tatsumi if he has hunted a Tyrant before; that would be a very terrible idea. Leone didn't even want to imagine the look on his face if she asked him that question.

No, it's better getting to know Tatsumi than getting straight to the point.

Getting to know Tatsumi will make Leone learn things about him. His life, his hobbies, his likes and dislikes, his favorites and most importantly, his opinion about the Capital. She needed to hear the last part because she's still considering recruiting him into Night Raid. Well, that and the fact she was falling for him.

A tinge of red appeared on Leone's face as she thought about falling for Tatsumi before she shook her head to clear her thoughts, as well as the blush on her face. Now wasn't the time to think about those thoughts, it was time to start getting what she wanted an hour ago: Answers. She was going to get her answers about Tatsumi's life, his opinion about the Capital and if he has fused with a Tyrant. One way or another, she will get the answers she wants.

Before Leone was ready to start the conversation – yes, it's a conversation; she refused to see it as an interrogation – she needed to take a few moments to calm her sudden nerves. She hated being scared, but she couldn't help it since she was going to ask personal questions that would make Tatsumi confused at first before becoming suspicious. She couldn't blame him for that; if some stranger was asking her personal questions, she would definitely become suspicious as well and she would lie instead of answering honestly.

Answering personal questions honestly to a stranger is an extremely dumb thing to do, which would lead to disasters. It's better to lie instead of answering honestly.

Once Leone calmed her nerves down, she took a deep breath and began the conversation.

"So, Tatsumi," Leone said with a slight purr in her voice, crossing her hands together and leaning her chest on the dining table, giving Tatsumi a wondrous view of her cleavage. This action caused him to become greatly amused. Apparently, history is repeating itself in the new timeline, but he was surprised by Leone's next words. "Can you tell me a bit about yourself? Like where you're from?"

"Uh, sure…" Tatsumi replied, taking a moment to recomposed himself at the question. In the old timeline when he first came to the Capital and met Leone, she never asked him about his life, only asking why he came to the Capital. "I live in a very poor village in the Northern region of the Empire, located between the forest and the mountains. It is a nice place to live, despite being very poor and in a cold region. The villagers are nice as well, though some can get angry if you insult their age."

Leone somehow doubted living in the Northern region is nice, but since she has never been there before, she stayed silent, though she did wince at the last part. Insulting someone's age is never a good thing to do. She made a mental note to never insult someone's age, including old people. Who knows what they would do if she insulted them?

Pushing the insulting people's age aside, Leone backtracked what Tatsumi said about his homelife, and a small frown appeared on her face after she was done. What she learned caused another important question she wanted to ask later. If Tatsumi was raised in a very poor village, how did he earn enough money to pay for a private room? It must've been expensive to pay for and there was no way the owner would give the private room for free, even if he was threatened.

'Is Tatsumi really from a very poor village?' Leone thought, finding Tatsumi's home life heavily doubtful. 'He doesn't dress like one, despite ne not knowing what country people wore, and I don't see him as the type of person buying expensive things to brag about. But I won't know until I learn more about him. For now, I'll keep asking questions.'

"Any hobbies you like doing, Tatsumi?" Leone asked, getting back on topic before Tatsumi, who was starting to get a bit concerned about her being silent, could say something. It worked, the concerned look Tatsumi had vanished when she started talking again. "Whenever you get bored in your village?"

"I like doing all sorts of things," Tatsumi replied with a smile, remembering the things he liked to do during the last eight years. "Which are exercising, reading books, swimming, teasing people, chopping trees, cooking, collecting food and meditating. But those are the things I do to pass the time. The things I really loved doing in my village is hunting animals – Danger-Beasts included – and creating weapons." It was true, hunting and creating weapons were the only things Tatsumi loved doing when growing up in his village. It makes him feel like he was back in the old timeline where he's able to enjoy himself as a normal person with a normal life before being plunged into the extremely dark truth about the Capital.

Each hobby Tatsumi listed off caused Leone to become even more interested in him, as well as increasing the attraction she had inside her. Although she did giggle when Tatsumi said he liked teasing people and cooking food. Leone can understand the former, given how she always likes to tease people, particularly Mine, who would always get angry at the teasing, but not the latter. Her giggles turned into chuckles as she imagined Tatsumi wearing an apron when cooking food in a kitchen; the image in her head looked funny and silly.

Oh, Leone couldn't wait to tease Tatsumi mercilessly when he joins Night Raid and started working in the kitchen.

However, the moment when Tatsumi said he loved hunting in his village, Leone instantly stopped chuckling and began silently cursing herself for being stupid. Why would she ask that question when she knew full well, despite not knowing at the time, it was leading towards the most important question in the world? It was too early to ask the important question. She wanted Tatsumi to be more comfortable with her presence before asking the Tyrant question. That way, he won't act suspicious, surprised or wary; he will be peacefully comfortable and will reply to Leone's Tyrant question without hesitation.

Then, depending on Tatsumi's answer, the date will go on either happily or terribly for the rest of the day and the two adults will either see each other again to go on more dates, which would later make them a future couple, or never will if they don't like each other's presence.

Either way, Leone had full confidence Tatsumi would reply to her Tyrant question once he was comfortable with her presence.

If only Leone knew Tatsumi was never going to answer honestly to the Tyrant question once she asks him that.

Alright, I'm ending the chapter there because I want to get this out of the way. There will be a new chapter but it's not the one you guys are excited for. It's going to be Back at The Capital Again (Finale). I'm sorry if you guys were expecting the chapter we were all waiting for, but I have absolutely no idea how to start that chapter off and even if I did…I would hate it after writing the words.

But despite not expecting the chapter we were all waiting for, at least we can look on the bright side. This story is starting to get back up and running.

I am very, very, very sorry about the lack of chapter updates; I didn't mean to make you guys wait that long. Five months without a new chapter is insane! I feel extremely terrible for not posting a new chapter sooner. I know I said I would try to post new chapters faster, but writing these things out takes so much time and planning. Not to mention, thought out because I want to make sure the story is going exactly how I wanted it to be. When writing stories, you want to make sure your chapters are carefully planned and thought out well because if you don't, then the story and chapters won't make sense. I thought I would give this a bit of advice for authors and writers who are starting Fanfiction for the first time. I'm not saying you guys are stupid, I'm just giving you a helpful reminder.

I'm sorry for the very long lack of chapter updates and I hope this part chapter makes up for it.

Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
