Akame Ga Kill: Kill the Second Chance.
Chapter Eight: Tyrant Hybrid vs Black Angel.
Previously in the last chapter.
"Who am I?" The shadow figure asked very darkly and very coldly, sending shivers of fear down the noble father's spine. It's a miracle he didn't wet his pants. "I'm just a very angry dragon who wants to kill you and your sick family for fucking up my life." The shadow figure revealed itself to be Tatsumi, stunning Aria's father upon seeing two crimson-red eyes with cross-eye pupils staring at him with great hatred. "As well as torturing my childhood who did absolutely nothing wrong to you bastards."
Before Aria's father could even plead for mercy or say to spare his daughter, which will never happen since she will be joining her family very soon, Tatsumi crushed his neck with his strong hands, killing the older man instantly.
'Two noble people down, one more to go,' Tatsumi thought, releasing a slight tired sigh as he let go of the dead corpse in his hands that struck the floor in the study room with a thud. 'And since both she and the guards are not aware the mansion is being attack from the inside, I'll use the time to take all the important items in this room for future money as well as the secret money stash hidden behind the huge portrait.' Tatsumi spent the next few minutes taking all the important things from the study room, along with the secret money stash hidden behind the huge portrait. He placed everything he took in a new huge bag. 'Alright, I got everything I need. Time to kill the last noble member, heal Sayo and meet with Night Raid.'
Tatsumi was about to leave the study room after grabbing everything he needed when he suddenly sensed an intense bloodlust in the air, making him pause but gained a soft smile on his face as he recognized the bloodlust. How can he not when he sensed it before in the old timeline? At last, they had arrived to do the mission they were ordered by the Revolutionary Army.
Night Raid has come calling and ready to spill bloodshed on this night.
(In the Present; Outside the Noble Mansion; With Night Raid)
While Tatsumi is relishing softly at the fact Night Raid has arrived at the noble mansion instead of focusing on him from being a half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid and he's about to meet them in a couple moments, said group, except Sheele, were already outside the mansion standing on tendril wires in the air Lubbock created as a platform with his Teigu. They all had shadow expressions on their faces and the full moon that's shining moonlight from behind made them more intimidating than before.
Though, if one looked closely at a specific female assassin who is a busty blonde, one could see a depressed look on her face and lost in her thoughts.
Night Raid had just arrived at the noble mansion a moment ago to carry out an assassination mission they were ordered by the Revolutionary Army, which is taking out an entire noble family who kidnaps innocent country people and tortures them for a while inside a nearby wooden shack before killing them. It's been going on for a few years and the Revolutionary Army wanted the entire family gone forever to not only rid one less corruption in the Empire but to ensure a better peaceful world for both the country people and the citizens in the Capital.
Night Raid could've accomplished their mission a couple days ago since it is quite easy to do, given they are strong and already knew the details about said mission, but the only reason why they didn't was because they had been thinking about Leone's latest report, which is the man who had the scent of Tyrant on him. They had hope it was only the scent because fusing with the actual beast itself is impossible and takes away the person's humanity to be replaced by a rampaging bloodthirsty dragon, but unfortunately for Night Raid, their hope was completely dissipated like boiling water in a pan when a highly depressed emotionally Leone told them everything after hers and Tatsumi's date, including the fusing part.
Needless to say, Night Raid has a new enemy they definitely needed to take out in the future, much to Leone's very great sadness and despair. She knew it was coming the moment she gave her report and had not bothered to convince her fellow assassins about not killing Tatsumi at all because once they receive a mission from either herself or the Revolutionary Army…that said mission must be carried out completely without any failure whatsoever, otherwise there will be severe consequences.
Also, it's highly important for assassins to not let their personal feelings and other feelings like cockiness be in the way during a mission as it would only distract you or gets you killed. It's better to shut feelings and emotions away during a mission.
However, as much as Night Raid wanted to think about the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid they're going have to take out in the future – they weren't going to call the guy who fused with the Tyrant his name since it's pointless – they needed to focus on the assassination mission they were given by the Revolutionary Army. So, upon seeing several guards rushing out from the noble mansion to 'greet' them, they immediately got to work.
"Alright, Akame, you're up," Lubbock stated, the shadow expression on his face becoming serious as he turned his head to stare at the dark-hair girl. He would normally be laid-back whenever he was on a mission with his fellow assassins. It is his nature, after all. But after hearing Leone's report about a guy having the scent of Tyrant of him, only for the said guy to actually fuse with the beast itself to become a half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid, the green-hair assassin decided to become serious until the massive threat is dealt with. "You know what to do."
"Right, I will eliminate them all without mercy," Akame replied emotionlessly as she jumped from the tendril-wired platform to land gracefully on the ground in a crouch position a few feet in front of the guards. As she rose upwards from her crouch position on the ground, still retaining the shadow expression her face, she drew out her sword with her right hand, the thin blade residing a cursed poison on the sharp edge glinting brightly against the moonlight.
"Okay, men! Listen up!" The head captain of the guards yelled, starting to give out orders after quickly analyzing the situation and who he is dealing with. As a leader, one must know what to do during a battle and when to give out proper orders to fellow soilders. "Whatever you do and no matter what happens, do not get touch by that katana even by the slightest bit!"
"Yes, sir!" The other guards exclaimed with a quick salute before getting into their fighting stances with their weapons. Since there were several guards around, they were sure and confident they had the advantage against the lonely female assassin who jumped downwards to meet them.
Sadly, though…that logic proved to be very, very wrong.
The guards didn't stand a chance, nor even had time to move or react when it happened.
In a blink of an eye, Akame shot forward from her position and took out nearly all the guards with a single sword strike to the throat, causing a tremendous amount of blood to spill in the air. She appeared on the other side of the dead guards she had mercilessly and very quickly killed with her sword held sideways, never once losing the shadow expression on her deathly pale face.
The head caption was also taken out, his throat cut open with blood oozing out. As ink black markings spread across his body and cursed poison coursing through the inside to reach his heart, he managed to breathe out his last words in the land of living, blood dripping down his mouth. "Ugh…this is what…I deserve…for having such a…rotten…soul…"
The head caption collapsed to the ground once the poison reached his heart, which instantly shut off, thus killing him.
There were two guards remaining and before one of them had a chance to react what just happened, a large spear completely pierced through his chest, the now bloodied tip reaching the other side. A moment later, Bulat, now donning the Incursio armor, which he always does every time he and his fellow assassins go out on a mission, walked forward to take the spear back before swinging the weapon sideways to wipe the blood off.
"W-w-w-what the a-absolute h-h-hell?" The remaining guard stuttered fearfully upon seeing his fellow guards get completely massacred within seconds. His armed weapon was dropped to the ground, due to his extremely shaking hands. "T-t-they all got…s-s-slaughtered so f-fast…" A look of extreme terror appeared on the guard's face when he realized he was about to killed next by these…monsters. That is what he describes the assassins because they are way worse than actual monsters. "Fuck this shit! I'm outta here! No way I'm getting killed by these insane monsters!"
The remaining guard quickly turned around and began sprinting away as far as he could in hopes of losing the monsters. However, he didn't get very far when he was shot in the head by Mine's gun, causing blood to spray out in different directions as he fell towards the ground.
"You spineless coward," Mine stated, lowering her gun to glare fiercely at the dead guard's body. She felt disgusted at the running away action he just did a moment ago. It was shameful and dishonorable. Mine is a person who values loyalty and honor, despite being an assassin. "You're bailing on your fallen comrades, comrades you know for a while, in fear of getting killed? That's low and pathetic. You deserve death."
'Sheesh, Mine, talk about harsh and aggressive,' Lubbock thought a bit nervously, silently scooting away from the temperamental pink-hair girl. He had wanted to point out the guard was only doing the plain old running away option, but chose not to say it if it's only going to make her more harsh and aggressive than before. 'That guy really didn't need it since he was already going to die anyway.'
It was then Lubbock noticed Leone, who is still retaining the depressed look on her face and lost in her thoughts, which are all about Tatsumi, hadn't moved from her position on the tendril-wired platform, making him became confused. Why is she still standing outside on the platform instead of heading inside the noble mansion to take out the targets Night Raid was ordered by the Revolutionary Army? More importantly, why isn't she acting like her usual self whenever on a mission?
Lubbock had a great feeling why Leone is acting the way she is now, but wanted to confirmed it by the woman herself. "Leone, why are you still out here instead of heading inside the mansion to take out the targets? And why do you have a depressed look on your face?"
Lubbock's questions, especially the second one, caused Mine to become surprised because she had never once seen Leone depressed before, except when she came back highly emotional from her date with that half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid. She didn't need a genius to tell her the busty blonde assassin has fallen over heels for the said hybrid during the date, but couldn't pursue a relationship because of Night Raid.
Mine finds the fallen over heels for a half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid highly weird and disturbing.
Still, though, Mine wanted to know like Lubbock why Leone is still standing outside instead of heading inside the noble mansion to take out the targets Night Raid recently came to do. "Yeah, Leone, why are you still out here? Shouldn't you already be inside the mansion with Sheele?"
"Huh?" Leone's thoughts about Tatsumi became broken after hearing both Lubbock's and Mine's voices. "Oh, I just didn't feel in the mood to kill anyone." Her answer caused her fellow assassins to become extremely shocked. Leone didn't feel in the mood to kill anyone?! Who is this woman and what had she done with the real Leone?! "And the reason why I had a depressed look on my face is because I had been thinking about…him." Leone choked up slightly when she said Tatsumi, but not the actual name.
'I called it,' Lubbock thought with a sigh, his extreme shock vanishing after hearing Leone's first answer about her not feeling in the mood to kill anyone. 'I should've known Leone would have feelings for the guy she dated two days ago. No wonder why she's acting like this.'
"Leone, why are you thinking about that hybrid?" Mine asked with a deep frown, giving Leone a look of disapproval. "You shouldn't be thinking about him at all since we have to take him out in the future."
"He's not a hybrid, Mine!" Leone exclaimed heatedly, greatly startling Lubbock and Mine. "He may have fused with a Tyrant, but he's still a human being! He even said so himself during my date! Don't you dare call him a hybrid!" Leone was about to tear into Mine for calling Tatsumi a hybrid when she suddenly paused, her senses catching a presence coming from the noble mansion. It was the same presence she sensed a week ago when she had been relaxing in the Capital.
The presence of a Tyrant.
'Why the fuck is Tatsumi here of all places?!' Leone thought, her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as she snapped her head towards the direction where the noble mansion is. 'Did he got kidnapped by the sick family who kidnaps country people?! No, I don't think he got kidnapped, I think he's working as a bodyguard to gain money for his village.' Tatsumi did say he came to the Capital to gain money for his very poor village, so Leone can understand why he chose to work as a bodyguard for a noble family, even though said family was sick. 'But it still doesn't answer my first question of Tatsumi being at this place. Why is he here?'
"What? What's wrong, Leone?" Lubbock asked, breaking Leone's thoughts. He was staring at her in concern, along with a slightly flustered Mine, who didn't like getting yelled at. "Did you sense something? Tell us."
Leone didn't reply to the question at first because she was still wondering why Tatsumi is at the noble mansion, despite the fact she had an excellent theory why. But after a few moments, she answered the question with only two words filled with grimness that caused both Lubbock and Mine to become very unnerved.
"He's here."
(Other Side of the Noble Mansion; With Aria)
"Come on, Miss Aria! This way!" A guard yelled, pulling Aria by the hand towards the wooden shack. "Don't stop or resist! Just keep moving forward and don't even look backwards!"
"W-w-what's going o-on?" Aria asked with stutter in her voice, looking a cross between frightened and angry. Frightened because she didn't understand what's happening at the moment and angry because her wonderful lustful dream of making passionate love with Tatsumi had been interrupted by this guard. Aria will punish him later for interrupting her dream.
"There's no time for me to explain! You just need to reach the wooden shack where you will be safe from harm!"
Eventually, the guard and Aria reached the wooden shack where numerous dead bodies of the kidnapped innocent country people are inside. They were just about to enter the shack when Akame suddenly landed a bit distance away behind the two, startling them.
"Shit! She's here!" The guard yelled, quickly pushing Aria behind him before taking out a gun from his gun strap and aimed it at Akame, who shot forward to get close enough to eliminate her targets. "Aria, stay behind me!" The guard began spraying bullet after bullet from his gun until he ran out, but to his and Aria's shock, the Night Raid assassin dodge every single bullet with relatively ease and kept speeding towards the two.
Upon reaching the distance between herself and her two targets, Akame swiftly slashed the guard's neck with her sword, instantly killing him and causing him to collapse on the ground. Aria's body shook violently against the wooden shack, her blue eyes wide and horrified as the female assassin whose dark red eyes pierce through her entire being slowly approached her like a predator about to pounced on its prey.
Aria's body shook even more violently than before when she heard monotone words from Akame, who got close enough. "I will eliminate all my targets without mercy or hesitation. You will be eliminated as well." Akame raised her sword in the air to finally put an end to Aria's entire existence. "Rest in pieces."
"TATSUMI, PLEASE HELP ME!" Aria screamed loudly, tears forming in her eyes as the sword began descending downwards in slow motion.
As if the dark sky was answering Aria's desperate plea, something suddenly happened.
Clang!
The sound of sword clashing against another sword filled the silent air, making both Akame's and Aria's eyes widened before they looked towards the source who stopped the former's sword from hitting the latter.
It was Tatsumi who stopped Akame's sword from hitting Aria.
"Got here just in time," Tatsumi muttered quietly, still keeping Akame's sword in a blade lock with his own sword.
"Tatsumi!" Aria exclaimed happily, extreme relief coursing through her body when she saw the handsome brown-hair man. "You're alright!"
'He's extremely strong,' Akame thought, staring at the person who was responsible for intercepting her blade. 'I can sense great power radiating off his entire body. It's surpassing both Leone's and Bulat's power.' Akame's eyes narrowed. 'I have a feeling I'm going to have to fight him seriously in order to kill my real target, but I'm going to see if I can try to convince him to step aside first before fighting. Though, there might be a chance it won't happened since he doesn't know the truth about the family.'
Tatsumi broke the blade lock and sent a couple slashes at Akame, who jumped backwards to not only avoid the attacks but to create distance between herself and him. Once said distance was created, the two stared at each other in the eyes – very bright emerald-green met dark red – and began sizing each other up, making a thick tense silence fill the air that you could cut with a knife.
As the two assassins continued to stare at each other, Tatsumi was having a hard time believing what he's currently seeing, which is Akame being well and alive again when memories of her death affected his mind.
Like Leone, Akame hadn't changed at all when Tatsumi first met her; she was still the same as he remembered in the old timeline. She had the same long, beautiful silky raven hair with shorter bangs styled in a hime-style in the front, which framed her heart-shape face, same deathly pale skin, same dark red eyes, same stoic personality Tatsumi was definitely planning on changing in the future, same dark clothes and same athletic attractive figure.
'I can't believe I'm seeing Akame well and alive again like Leone!' Tatsumi thought, resisting the urge to just run over to Akame and hug her very tightly as if she would suddenly drop dead. 'I knew I would see her again, but it's just hard to see someone you care about in the old timeline die, only to be alive again when traveling back in time to change everything. This time, I'm going to make sure Akame stays alive with Night Raid and get Kurome on our side.'
"You are not my enemy or target to eliminate," Akame stated, breaking the tense silence and Tatsumi's thoughts. "My only concern is the young girl cowering against the wooden shack behind you. Please move aside."
"Sorry, but I can't let you target this young girl," Tatsumi retorted firmly, not wanting Akame to kill Aria. 'Especially since I'm the one who is going to kill her in a couple moments.'
"I do not wish to kill an innocent bystander, but only the girl. Please move."
"I said no."
Akame was now reaching the end of her patience. "I will not say it one more time after this. Move aside now or else I will be force to kill you without mercy or hesitation."
"If you want to kill this girl, then you will have to go through me," Tatsumi declared, pointing his sword at Akame. "And don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're a girl. I will defend anyone from harm."
"So be it then," Akame let out a disappointed sigh as she slid into her fighting stance, promoting Tatsumi to do the same but his own stance, which is holding the sword in front of him with both hands on the hilt and crouched his legs forward slightly.
The thick tense silence from before came back but stronger than ever. Both assassins were ready to duke their battle out against each other. Aria, who is cowering against the wooden shack, hoped Tatsumi can win this battle against the female assassin. If he does, then she will give him a pleasurable reward, one that made her giggle a bit perversely, which was ignored.
'I was hoping not fight against this guy, but he left me with no choice,' Akame thought, never once took her eyes away from Tatsumi. 'I will kill him, then kill the girl next and meet up with the others. I just hope I can finish this fight quickly before things become serious, especially since this guy is holding what it appears to be a Teigu in his hands.'
'The last time me and Akame fight in the old timeline, I nearly got killed by her Teigu,' Tatsumi thought, memories of his and Akame's first battle in the old timeline appearing in his mind and how he almost came closed to death with the most dangerous-looking Teigu in all existence. He also never once took his eyes away from Akame as she can be quite sneaky in battles. 'That's not going to happened again this time. I will defeat her without activating my Teigu even once. No need to go overboard against one person.'
After a few more minutes of staring without turning their gazes away from one another, Akame and Tatsumi nodded their heads once before charging at each other, their swords colliding in the middle with a mighty loud clang.
The battle between the Tyrant hybrid and the Black Angel has officially begun.
And done! That's the ending of the chapter! I'm so glad I got this chapter done because I was starting to become stressed from writing this all day. I'm going to take a small break from writing for a single day, which will be enough to make my stress go away.
Next chapter will the second part of Tatsumi's and Akame's fight. I have no idea how to start the chapter, so it may take a while for me to figure out before writing. I do want the chapter to be good and entertaining.
I may get a review that will certainly be about why Akame didn't recognize Tatsumi as the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid and I just now came up with the explanation for the review. The reason why she didn't recognize him is because she did not expect to encounter him at the noble mansion at all. She, along with the other members of Night Raid, thought Tatsumi would still be in the Capital looking for a job to help his very poor village. That's why Akame didn't recognize him when she first glanced at him because she didn't expect this.
Also, if you guys are wondering why I didn't reveal Tatsumi's and Esdeath's spirits, it's because I didn't feel like revealing them; I was getting stressed from trying to finish this chapter. I will reveal them in the next chapter.
Anyways, here is a new chapter for you guys to enjoy and I hope you enjoy it.
Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
