Akame Ga Kill: Kill the Second Chance.
Quick Note – I didn't reveal Tatsumi's and Esdeath's spirits in the previous chapter because I hadn't feel like revealing them, due to becoming stressed from trying to finished the chapter. But now, I can reveal the spirits.
Here are the final two people to receive their spirits:
Esdeath's spirit will be a snow leopard, which will be named Glacier. The spirit's ability can make her ice powers, trump cards included, much more powerful than before and give her new moves that are very deadly. It can also increase her strength, speed, durability, senses and endurance, making her last long in battles without ever getting tired. However, Esdeath has to be extremely careful when using her ice powers because the necklace's power relies on ice and if she uses too much ice, then the power will instantly shut off. If it happens, the necklace has to be recharged in ice.
Tatsumi's spirit will be the Tyrant, which will be named Inferno. The spirit's ability gives him an extraordinary boost of strength, speed, endurance, senses and durability and granting him a special, yet very dangerous, weapon. It can also let him use the weapons and the teleporting ability without donning on Starblaze while increasing his other abilities he had unlocked during his eight yearlong training. There's no downside to the necklace, but has to recharge when it runs out of power. The only way to do that is by placing it in fire.
Alright, that is all the people who are going to be using their spirits for the rest of the story. I'm so glad I got them done and I can finally stop going back to my saved chapters. I can now focus on writing the chapters.
Also, I forgot to mention this important fact since a reviewer PM me about it, but when the people uses their necklaces to change into their spirit form, their appearance and clothing will change. I wrote Akame's appearance and clothing in the old version of Kill the Second Chance, but didn't do it to the others. I'm planning to do that in the future.
With the two final people getting their spirits out of the way, it's time to head into the chapter!
Enjoy the chapter.
Chapter Nine: Tyrant Hybrid vs Black Angel (Part Two)
Previously in the last chapter.
The thick tense silence from before came back but stronger than ever. Both assassins were ready to duke their battle out against each other. Aria, who is cowering against the wooden shack, hoped Tatsumi can win this battle against the female assassin. If he does, then she will give him a pleasurable reward, one that made her giggle a bit perversely, which was ignored.
'I was hoping not fight against this guy, but he left me with no choice,' Akame thought, never once took her eyes away from Tatsumi. 'I will kill him, then kill the girl next and meet up with the others. I just hope I can finish this fight quickly before things become serious, especially since this guy is holding what it appears to be a Teigu in his hands.'
'The last time me and Akame fight in the old timeline, I nearly got killed by her Teigu,' Tatsumi thought, memories of his and Akame's first battle in the old timeline appearing in his mind and how he almost came closed to death with the most dangerous-looking Teigu in all existence. He also never once took his eyes away from Akame as she can be quite sneaky in battles. 'That's not going to happened again this time. I will defeat her without activating my Teigu even once. No need to go overboard against one person.'
After a few more minutes of staring without turning their gazes away from one another, Akame and Tatsumi nodded their heads once before charging at each other, their swords colliding in the middle with a mighty loud clang.
The battle between the Tyrant hybrid and the Black Angel has officially begun.
(In the Present; With Akame and Tatsumi)
Right after clashing their blades against each other in the middle after charging, Akame and Tatsumi struggled to overpower one another in their blade lock, their teeth clenched and muscles tense from pressure as they pushed their weight onto their respective swords. Eventually, it was Tatsumi who overpowered Akame in the blade lock and gave her a slash on the shoulder, earning a loud pain hiss as blood sprayed out from the cut.
'Fuck, that guy's sword is very sharp,' Akame thought, quickly backing up to avoid any more slashes from the very sharp sword. She's not the type of person to say or thought curse words as they are inappropriate, but she will let it slide for once as she checked out the cut she received. Thankfully, it wasn't deep enough to be concerned about, but she would have to ignore the leaking blood. 'I'll have to avoid every slash he throws at me while try to get close to cut him with my Teigu. I hope I can get this fight over with quickly before the others become worried.'
'It's a good thing I didn't put much pressure or power into that slash, otherwise Akame's arm would've come off completely,' Tatsumi thought, mentally giving himself a slap for using the key to Starblaze instead of a different sword, one that's not very sharp. 'Honestly, why did I choose to fight her with my main sword instead of a different one? I'm so dumb.'
Tatsumi should've realized that while Akame may be durable and can take hits from anything, including sword attacks, which is thanks to the training she received upon joining the Elite Seven before defecting to join the Revolutionary Army, she wasn't that durable. She is still a human being who can feel pain like all human beings. Even animals and Danger-Beasts can feel pain.
As wise people would say, pain is a part of life. Always has been, always will be. Nothing could change it.
Tatsumi's thoughts were broken when he sensed Akame suddenly appeared in front of him, her sword being aimed at his abdomen, forcing him to quickly raise his own sword to block the attack, causing a loud clang to fill the air. He then disappeared from his spot to appear behind the stunned dark-hair assassin who couldn't believe he sensed her, much less block her attack so quickly when no one else could, to send a horizontal strike at her exposed back, but she ducked downwards to avoid it after quickly snapping out of her stunned state.
Akame then retaliate from her crouch position by turning around and sent a single thrust at Tatsumi, who leaned to the side to avoid it before spinning his body around to do a spin attack, which she swiftly blocked with her sword, creating another blade lock and some sparks.
During the blade lock struggle, Akame attempted to swept Tatsumi's legs from under with her leg to catch him off guard, which should give her the opportunity to land a killing strike and ending the fight. But unfortunately for her, he saw this action, which made him quickly broke the blade lock and jumped over her before striking her exposed back with a free open-palmed hand, not brutally or forcefully hard enough to actually harm her but enough to send the dark-hair assassin's body crashing to the ground.
Spitting dirt and some grass out of her mouth, a covered in dirt Akame quickly got up from the ground, turned around and gave a dark glare at Tatsumi, who glared back with equal darkness while laughing internally at seeing her covered in dirt. It was hilarious.
As if reading Tatsumi's thoughts, the dark glare Akame was giving him grew more darker than before, which in turn made the internal laughter grew more than before as well. She intended to make him pay for daring to laugh internally at her.
Without a word, the two assassins sped quickly towards each other and began engaging a furious, yet very deadly, sword fight, their blades clashing loudly as they fought to try get an advantage over one another.
'S-s-s-so fast!' Aria thought with wide eyes as she watched the battle before her, struggling to keep up with the sword fight. 'I can barely keep up with them! I can understand the assassin since she dodge all the gun bullets previously with relatively ease, but not Tatsumi! Is he an extremely skilled warrior or something?'
Aria would never know the answer to her question because she is about to get killed real soon by Tatsumi, who was going to enjoy killing her.
(With Night Raid)
While Tatsumi and Akame are busy with their epic fight, the other members of Night Raid, except Sheele, were having a very serious conversation, which is about a certain half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid.
"What do you mean he's here, Leone?" Lubbock demanded the moment he recovered himself after hearing Leone's claim about the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid being here at the noble mansion, along with Mine. "Are you trying to tell us the Tyrant-fused man is here at the mansion?"
"Yes, Lubbock, that's exactly what I'm saying," Leone snapped, still finding it hard to believe Tatsumi is at the noble mansion where Night Raid had arrived to carry out an assassination mission by the Revolutionary Army. "I have no idea why he's here or working with this sick family, but I am intending to find out."
"We're going to question the guy?" Mine asked in complete disbelief, looking at Leone as if she had grown two heads. "Leone, are you out of your fucking mind?! We are dealing with someone who has fused with the most dangerous beast in all existence, something that should be very much impossible, and you want to question him why he's here?! That is dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life!"
"I agree, Leone," Lubbock seconded with the pink-hair assassin. "Why should we question the guy when we should just take him out now? That way, we don't have to worry about dealing with him in the future. We can put all our focus on dealing with the Empire."
"No, I want to question the guy as well," Bulat said seriously, having been silent for a while upon learning the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid is here at the noble mansion. He had been shocked and unnerved at first, but after doing some serious fast thinking in his head, he realized this is a perfect opportunity to questioned the guy who fused with the Tyrant.
"Bulat, you can't be serious!" Both Mine and Lubbock shouted, giving the larger assassin incredulous looks, while Leone gave him a surprised look.
"No, guys, Leone is right. I find it very suspicious and strange why a human would fused with a Tyrant of all things and to learn he's here instead of the Capital like we originally thought gives us the perfect opportunity to ask questions. I say we look for the guy and questioned him before he leaves the area."
"What happens if he doesn't answer our questions, Bulat?" Leone asked quietly since Lubbock and Mine were busy staring at each other with the same incredulous looks on their faces. She already knew the answer but wanted it confirmed. "What will we do?"
Bulat didn't hesitate to answer both of Leone's questions. "Then we'll take him out since he's a future target. You know what we assassins must do in order to accomplished a better peaceful world for both the country people and the citizens in the Capital. We must eliminate anyone who poses as a threat."
Leone wasn't happy with the answers Bulat gave her, given the obvious deep frown on her face, but she didn't argue as she knew it's pointless. Like she thought before, once Night Raid receives a mission from either herself or the Revolutionary Army, that said mission must be carried out completely without any failure whatsoever, otherwise there will be severe consequences.
With a depressed sigh, Leone stretched out her senses far and wide to locate Tatsumi. A moment later, she found him, but she also sensed another presence, one that caused an extremely worried look to appear on her face. It didn't go unnoticed by the other members of Night Raid.
"What? What is it, Leone?" Bulat asked, staring at Leone in concern, along with Lubbock and Mine. "What did you sense that made you extremely worried? Please tell us."
"Akame is currently facing him in battle!" Leone shouted, suddenly began sprinting towards the place where Akame and Tatsumi are fighting, leaving behind a group of fellow shocked assassins who didn't register the words she said until now.
Greatly alarmed and worried, the other members of Night Raid quickly followed Leone, hoping to reach Akame quickly before she gets injured or worse, killed by the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid.
(Back with Akame and Tatsumi)
Akame and Tatsumi had no idea how long they've been fighting each other, but they have a feeling nearly an hour passed by, something the former found extremely annoying. She had never faced someone who can last this long before in a fight. Her fights usually end in a couple minutes, but nearly an hour later was something she never anticipated.
Akame had truly underestimated Tatsumi and foolishly thought the fight would be easy. She should have known better.
The one thing that confused Akame the most was the fact Tatsumi didn't seemed to be using his Teigu at all during the fight. Why was he not using it? Does he have a sense of honor to not use it on worthy opponents he fights or was the Teigu extremely powerful, but he didn't want to hurt her?
Either way, Akame was confused.
The two assassins were currently standing a bit away from each other after breaking their sword fight a moment ago to catch their breaths. Tatsumi looked fine and ready to start fighting again, but Akame looked a bit exhausted, due to running all around him to try landing a single strike with her Teigu while avoiding his very sharp sword. She is pushing the exhaustion she's feeling at the moment mentally away as she couldn't afford to let it interfere with her fight.
As Akame continues to mentally push the exhaustion she's feeling away while keeping an eye on Tatsumi, who stood where he was waiting patiently, she sensed a couple familiar presences coming towards her direction, making her dark red eyes widen before disappointment overcame her features. 'Great, now the others are on their way here after becoming worried about me not returning like I should have nearly an hour ago.'
'Looks like everyone from Night Raid, except Sheele, are coming this way,' Tatsumi thought, also sensing very familiar presences coming towards the direction and becoming inwardly stiff as a board like when he heard Aria's carriage being pulled towards him back in the Capital. Even though he sensed Night Raid arriving at the noble mansion after killing Aria's father, he only sensed the bloodlust. He is about to meet the members in person, members who had been his friends until they got killed. 'I must keep my focus on the fight between me and Akame instead of them. I can't afford to make a single mistake.'
After a moment of catching their breaths, Akame and Tatsumi resumed their battle of clashing blades with Aria watching onwards, along with a couple people who had arrived.
(Back with Night Raid)
It took no time at all for Night Raid to arrive at the place where Akame and the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid are fighting, which is thanks to the training they've been doing ever since the group was created. They were currently hiding in the shadows behind the trees.
"That's him, guys, the guy who fused with the Tyrant."
Leone's words caused the other members of Night Raid who caught up with her after sprinting away so suddenly to swiftly turned towards the fight where they can get a good look at both the man who fused with a Tyrant and the enemy they needed to take out in the future.
Needless to say, the other members of Night Raid were deeply shocked at what they saw.
"That's him, Leone?!" Mine whispered loudly, greatly appalled of what the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid looks like in person. "He looks like a regular human!" It was true, the guy looked like a regular human, not a mighty feared beast.
Then again, Mine had seen Leone transformed with her Teigu during missions, so it would make sense the guy looks like a regular human instead of a mighty feared beast.
'But he has a great power radiating off his entire body,' Lubbock thought to himself as he sensed a massive power that surpasses Leone's and Bulat's power, which caused him to become tense. 'I can tell it's not normal power. It's something else, something powerful and dangerous. It must be the Tyrant's power.'
"His appearance may be human, Mine," Leone said, never taking her eyes away from the battle between Akame and Tatsumi. "But he does have features as a Tyrant, features I do not know since he didn't tell me about them. I also don't know if he can transform into a Tyrant."
Bulat was completely silent as he stared at the guy who fused with the Tyrant instead of having the scent on him and currently fighting Akame in a clashing of blades. He didn't know why, but there was something awfully…familiar about him, something that made a brotherly feeling to appear in his chest, which greatly confused him. Bulat had never meet the guy before until now and he wasn't sure why he has this brotherly feeling in his chest. Thinking about it made him more confused than before.
There were numerous questions Bulat wanted to know as he continued to stare at the guy who fused with the Tyrant. Why does he have this brotherly feeling in his chest? Why does the guy who fused with a Tyrant looked awfully familiar? More importantly, why does Bulat has the strangest feeling he even met the said guy before when he knows he haven't until now?
"Should we help Akame, guys?" Lubbock asked, thinking Akame may need help to fight against the half human/half Danger-Beast hybrid. "It looks like she needs it. I can sense her becoming exhausted as the fight rages on."
"No, Lubbock," Leone said immediately, not wanting the battle between Akame and Tatsumi be interrupted. She wanted to see how well the latter can fare against the deadly former, especially against a Teigu that can kill anyone and anything almost instantly with a single cut. "We're not going to help her with her fight. She can handle this by herself. If things go bad, then we'll help her."
Other than Bulat, who nodded his head in understanding but didn't take his eyes away, Mine and Lubbock didn't look happy at what Leone said, but they didn't argue as they knew how stubborn she can be. So, they were forced to watch the fight with reluctance.
'Besides, I have a feeling things are about to become real interesting soon during the fight,' Leone thought with a smile as she stared at the battle between Akame and Tatsumi. 'Maybe Tatsumi might join Night Raid if we can convince him the dark truth about the Capital and holds his own against Akame. I really hope so because he might be the ultimate trump the Revolutionary Army and Night Raid needs to end the war against the Empire in the future.'
And done! That's the ending of the chapter! I think I did a good job with the fight between Akame and Tatsumi at the beginning, though I could be wrong since writing fights isn't something I'm not good at. I'm hoping to improve it.
Next chapter will be the final conclusion of the battle between Tyrant Hybrid and Black Angel. I could've done the conclusion in the chapter, but I wanted to get chapters posted to make up all the times I combined part chapters instead of writing full chapters.
Anyways, here is a new chapter for you guys to enjoy and I hope you enjoy it.
Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
