Asta peeked out from the curtain. "Lot of people out there," she murmured. She was disappointed that Loki wasn't at his place yet.
Tony kissed her temple gently. "You got this. Those are your people and they love you. They want you to be happy like the rest of us."
"Thanks, Dad. For everything. Especially for bringing the family here."
"Well, thank Mr. Tonyson-in-law for that. And besides, I'm gonna ask Odin to sign Morgan's excuse from school. This should be a pretty good story for show and tell next week too."
"Any time she wants me to come in, I'll happily be her show and tell. Loki too."
"He's got a soft spot for our girl," Tony said with a chuckle.
"Who wouldn't? I officially have the cutest little sister in all the realms!"
"Indeed. I'm very lucky to have both my girls."
"Don't go getting misty on me now! I have to take my vows in front of the entire kingdom in 3 minutes!"
"Fine, fine. No overly mushy moments."
Just then, the trumpets blasted.
Asta took a deep breath. "Go time."
The curtains opened and Tony and Asta began to walk through the crowd. She looked up at the dais and saw Wanda and Nat in their beautiful golden gowns. Peter and Thor were standing on the other side. It was strange to see Peter in Asgardian attire, but it suited him. Odin was smiling at her and Frigga was absolutely beaming. But she still hadn't seen Loki.
"Should I be concerned that I don't see my husband?" Asta questioned.
"Probably looking to make an entrance."
"Why do all the men in my life enjoy making spectacles?"
Tony laughed. "You're just lucky I guess!"
Asta rolled her eyes and laughed. And then she saw him appear in a shimmer of green. He likely cloaked himself until she was close enough. He stood at his full princely height, looking even taller with that helmet. His armor shone and his cape fell regally. Suddenly Asta was glad that Tony was hanging onto her.
"See?" Tony whispered. "Had to make an entrance."
"Indeed," she said softly.
"Don't go swooning over him yet. I don't want to have to carry you up there. This dress looks heavy."
"No promises," she muttered as Loki winked at her.
They walked up the steps to Odin. Tony kissed her cheek and shook Loki's hand, then went back to sit with the others.
Odin raised his hands. "Asgardians and visiting friends! Today is a most wonderful day! We are here to witness the marriage of Loki, crown prince of Asgard, god of mischief, to Asta, goddess of healing. This is a day that is, perhaps, not a surprise to anyone in attendance. These two have been the model of love since they were much younger. And now, they take their vows before you all."
He lowered his hands and looked to Asta. "Asta Gostadottir Stark, do you pledge your unending love and fidelity to Loki? Do you vow to honor him and cherish him from now until eternity?"
Asta smiled at the last name Odin gave her. "I do, Allfather."
He turned slightly to Loki. "And Loki Odinson, do you pledge your unending love and fidelity to Asta? Do you vow to honor her and cherish her from now until eternity?"
"I do, Allfather."
Odin nodded. "Very well. The rings, please?"
Thor and Wanda approached and handed Odin the rings. It pained Asta to remove it that morning since she had worn it every moment since they were wed on Midgard, but Loki had convinced her that the removal certainly didn't change their love.
Odin held the rings out. "Please, put this ring on your beloved's finger and repeat after me: with this ring, I wed my soulmate."
They did and Odin smiled. He raised his hands again. "Now, friends, family, and all citizens of Asgard! I announce that these two are now wed in sacred matrimony. Loki, Asta, you may seal your union with a kiss."
The two quickly leaned into each other and kissed with all the love they had. The applause of those in attendance finally broke them apart.
"I present to you, Loki and Asta, prince and princess of Asgard!" Odin bellowed as the couple turned to face the crowd of cheering people.
They beamed as they walked back down the aisle.
"Well, wife, how does it feel to officially be the princess of Asgard?" Loki asked as they waited for the others.
"Like that doesn't matter in the least."
He raised his eyebrows in question to her.
Asta placed a hand on his cheek. "Being the princess or the future queen or a goddess means nothing to me in comparison to being your wife. There's nothing I want more than to just spend forever with you, troublemaker. The rest is just gravy."
Loki laughed. Of course his darling Asta would say that.
"I'm of the same mindset, my darling. I'd refuse the crown right now if needed to be your husband."
"Well, luckily, you get both," she replied with a chuckle.
"I am, without a doubt, the luckiest man in all the realms."
He kissed her deeply until they were interrupted by Morgan's giggle.
"Kissy kissy!" the little girl enthusiastically squealed from her father's arms.
Loki pulled away from Asta and held out his arms. Morgan happily switched over.
"There's my favorite sister!" he said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Hi, Loki!" she said. "We're family twice now! You get married to Asta a lot."
He laughed. "Well, I assure you, we're done now. One ceremony for each of our homes. I thank you for being at both of them!"
"Asta is my big sister! And you're my big brother now. Plus, Mommy and Daddy said I had to come. All my good baby sitters are here."
All the adults laughed then.
Asta held out her arms to the little girl and Loki begrudgingly passed her over. "You couldn't be more like Dad if you tried, munchkin!" she said as she pressed a big kiss to Morgan's cheek.
"I hear that a lot," Morgan sighed. "Your dress is so pretty!"
"Why thank you! And so is yours!"
Morgan turned to her brother-in-law. "Loki, you're outfit is strange. But I like it! Those horns sure are bigger than the crown you wear for movie watching!"
Loki couldn't help but chuckle as he held out a fist. "Yes, well, go big or go home, right, nugget?"
"Right!" Morgan happily replied with a bump to his fist.
Pepper reached over for Morgan. "We should let you go. I think all the Asgardian officials are looking to congratulate the happy couple."
Asta looked over and saw a line forming. She took a deep breath. "Here we go, I guess." She and Loki hugged Tony and Pepper and began to greet the mass of excited guests.
