25. Chapter 25: Water Royalty

Here is the twenty-fifth chapter of this story released when I wanted it to be in keeping with my self-imposed upload requirements for this series. I'm back after a week of and hopefully I can stick with a fortnightly upload schedule with 5 active stories but I won't promise anything other than to keep uploading as often as I can. As for what's coming up, well it's time for the fourth event and I'm sure you all know what it is and which Black Bull will be in it so there's nothing more that I need to say about what is to come so that is all the administrative stuff I have for you as there are no questions that require answering but there is a guest review that requires a response which I will do now. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from those who enjoy my work.

As of right now I'm close to reaching the current end of the One Piece dub as I'm over 900 episodes deep out of 952 currently dubbed episodes so I should reach it by the time I next upload a chapter and then it's just a matter of waiting for the next batch of dubbed episodes to drop. I see well if it's not all dubbed and uncensored (I am against censorship in any form) then I will not watch it and just stick with the manga if I decide to enjoy them but with my manga and light novel collection (over 400 books across 97 series and counting due to mystery manga subscriptions) and I've got a light novel backlog to get through at the moment but having long series that are in English are good to know about. To each their own between dub and sub, watch what you like though it's amusing that you didn't like Izuku's dub voice as I'm the exact opposite, I think it's perfect for the role and character, same with Bakugo and Ochaco's in fact, and as MHA was what got me to fully embrace and enjoy anime I really wouldn't be here writing any of my anime based works other than Pokémon without it but that just shows different tastes. Usually I don't mind dub roles though there are some characters that don't work for me, in these series one is actually Elfman as I watched Fairy Tail after MHA and Black Clover so I was used to his VA doing All Might and Yami respectively so the same voice with a non-mentor character to the main character just didn't feel right to me throughout Fairy Tail though of course he got the Elfman role before the other two IRL. Chapter 25: Water Royalty

"The sun is out so a perfect day for some magic mixed with plenty of mayhem!" Chapati said excitedly as the crowd cheered. "So let's kick of the event of day four!"

The crowd roared as a giant sphere of water was formed over the center of the arena floating in midair so that it was within the confines of the arena while significantly over the floor of it. It was a damned impressive display of magic and the moment it was formed it was clear to the Black Bulls what the core of this event was and thus who in their team would compete in it.

None of them looked at Noelle but she steeled herself for whatever the event would entail while trying not to be embarrassed at the attire she was sure would be required to wear. She had it on her just in case there was a water based event, and after that special battle between Mira and Jenny because Vanessa insisted that all the women have one ready to go, as she looked at the water and waited to hear what the rules would be.

"As you can see today's event is a nautical based event that is to be held in this giant sphere of water and is called Naval Battle so get ready folks because it's time for a fight at sea." Chapati announced getting Noelle's attention because of the word 'in' and she listened closely to the rules. "Naturally the battlefield for today is inside the water you see before you and the rules are simple. Our participants will fight within the water, do not worry the nature of the magic ensures that those who enter it can breathe normally within the water, and if you are expelled from the water you lose. The event will continue until only one is left swimming who will then be declared the winner."

It was a simple and obvious event; Noelle could, and really should, have guessed as much from seeing the ball of water and hearing the title of the event. That didn't seem too bad, she was a Water Mage and a royal so she was going to be fine in it though she knew that one of the Fairy Tail teams had a Water Mage as well to keep an eye on. Regardless, Noelle was certain she had this but there was likely a catch because there usually was and that came a moment later when Chapati continued his rules announcement.

"However that's not all folks because when there are only two competitors remain a special rule is initiated." Chapati said and Noelle sighed because of course there had to be something like this just like how Hidden had negative points for hitting the doubles, Chariots was limited to the carts, and Pandemonium had that rule about losing all points if knocked out during your go, so Naval Battle had to have one as well and this was said rule. "It's called the 5 minute rule because when the rule is initiated, if one of the two remaining participants in the event is knocked out of the water within this time limit, which begins the moment that only 2 remain, then that person automatically gets last place for losing the final showdown and everyone else bumped up a place in the standings."

"Essentially the event becomes an underwater sumo match between the last two." Yajima said. "Which adds even more elements to the tactics that our participants have to apply while fighting in the water should they make it to the final showdown."

"This will be a spectacular event." The third commentator said though Noelle didn't know who today's special guest commentator was as she didn't recognize the voice and didn't bother looking towards the commentator box to see who it was. "Thank you for inviting me today."

"We are grateful to have your input and for those who can't see us, I can confirm that today's special guest commentator is the head of the Scheherazade acting troupe Mr. Lavian." Chapati said though Noelle had no idea who the man was as Charmy set up a privacy area for her to change into her bikini for this event now that the rules had been explained so it was just a matter of waiting for when she had to get into the water. "And now it's time to choose your participants and enter the water."

Noelle didn't want to be the first one in but she was ready and had her bikini on, naturally nervous and hoping for a complement from Asta though not knowing why she wanted that, as Charmy dropped the cotton and Vanessa handed Noelle her wand. She'd need it to ensure precision in the event and quickly created a small Sea Dragon's Cradle around her grimoire to protect it. As she did this Chapati announced the first one into the water was Lamia Scale's Sheila causing Noelle to look over and see the girl already in the water in a yellow and red striped bikini her Guild Mark visible on her right calf.

This was followed by Jenny from Blue Pegasus in a bikini that Noelle was sure she'd worn in her 'battle' with Mira so apparently it could be practical as well as sexy. After her came Lislie of Mermaid Heel in what looked like her normal attire for some reason and then came who Noelle had expected and the one she viewed as the greatest threat at the start, Fairy Tail Team B's Juvia Lockser. Nero had said that she used Water Magic, which Hidden had confirmed, and while different from Noelle's in style it should be considered close to if not on par with Noelle's so she was going to be warry.

Oddly, Juvia wasn't followed by a Fairy Tail Team A's participant as Finral made a portal for Noelle to use to drop in but rather Minerva of Sabertooth, one of their powerhouses who'd not started the games on their team so was their reserve but unlike the other girls she wore a two piece outfit that was long shorts and a sports bra type top clearly meant for speed and practicality, not sex appeal. Noelle didn't care, all would lose and this would really give her a chance to assess the Sabertooth girl as well.

Lastly, as Noelle walked into the portal and the crowd cheered for Sabertooth's entrant and the final of their 5 strongest to join their team, the Fairy Tail Team A participant entered confirming an all-female line up as it was Lucy Heartfilia in a pink bikini with stars on it and a special belt that had her key pouch and whip on it. Noelle didn't notice this as she exited the portal above the water and fell into it, letting herself fall naturally to the area where all the girls were before finding her bouncy as she joined the event with her grimoire in her spell just above her right shoulder.

To say that it was odd to be able to breath underwater would be an understatement but Noelle quickly adapted and when she did she drew comfort from being underwater. This was her attribute and after two years of intense training in Earth Land along with her growth since joining the Black Bulls she was truly at home in it. To think that magic could make her feel like this but it just went to show how far Noelle had come since her family had exiled her and she wouldn't trade it for the world.

"And lastly from the Black Bulls its Noelle Silva!" Chapati announced as Noelle got ready for the battle to begin and began to strategize for how to handle it. "And with her the scenery really can't get better than this as we've got 7 beautiful, swimsuit clad, ladies to represent their Guilds in this event."

"There is so much beauty in these enticing ladies." Lavian said clearly enjoying the view. "I can't thank you enough for letting me join you today. I may even see some moves that would work well in my next play."

Noelle just ignored it as she got ready and felt an intimidating presence within the magic as she opened her mana senses up to the water around her. Thanks to all her work with her Valkyrie Armor, which she'd use and debut something knew when the time came, she'd gotten better at mana sense, especially when it came to water mana, and this ball was entirely made of it, well water Ethernano but it was basically the same thing to her, so her mana sense and, for Noelle it was strange to thing, control was at its peak.

It was because of this that she sensed it. It was a powerful magical source, easily as strong as her eldest brother's and she looked up to see that it was coming from Minerva of Sabertooth as she held herself in the water above the rough ring the other girls had formed in preparation for the battle to come with a near regal bearing as if she was looking down on them.

To say that Noelle didn't like or approve of this would be an understatement. This was the arrogance only the worst of the nobility or royalty back home could dream of attaining and it made Noelle want to beat Minerva in particular though of course she was going to beat all 6 of the other women present to win this event. There might be something to do with how it reminded Noelle of how she used to be before she joined the Black Bulls and started to change for the better thanks to Asta in particular, not that she'd ever tell him that, but she pushed that aside as she waited for the event to start.

Noelle knew that she would have to be smart, tactical, and sensible if she wanted to win especially because Luck had revealed her attribute to be water on the first day, so she needed a clear mind from the start and couldn't fixate on Minerva's arrogance right at the start. That was how she'd win and she'd do so not just for herself as a way to show how far she'd come but also for her Squad. They were her to win the Grand Magic Games and were supporting her because they cared about her so she had to surpass her limits to win this for all of them.

Of course the others were also aware that Noelle, and Juvia for that matter, were in their element right now. The exception was Minerva who hadn't been there on day 2 and even if she had she wouldn't have cared because she was supremely confident in her absolute victory and just wanted to make sure that her and Lucy Heartfilia or Juvia Lockser were the last two so that she could punish Fairy Tail for Natsu's attack the other day though she really wanted Lucy as she was on Natsu's team and clearly close to him.

That was her plan and she'd see it through to the end to win while taking pleasure in the pain she was going to put Lucy through. It would make it clear to Fairy Tail who the true strongest Guild was and the rest of the girls present were insignificant fleas to her so she'd just let them fight it out and strike with opportune subtlety if the openings presented themselves.

As for the others, they were focused on doing what they could to win but none of them were going to ignore that two of them used Water Magic. Those were the two who'd have the advantage so most were wary of them in this event.

Juvia was a known entity to many, a former S-Class Wizard with Phantom Lord and now one of the wizards strong enough in Fairy Tail to represent them who's Water Magic was strong enough to turn her own body to it making to make her practically immune to physical damage except from that Asta kid's sword so she was a force in the water. Noelle, however, was unknown as no one had seen her participate in the games until now but the reputation that the Black Bulls had established by this point ensured that no one was taking her lightly as they geared up for the event to start.

"Alright it's time to try and stay in the water for as long as you can." Chapati said getting the girls' attention. "I hope you're ready ladies because the Naval Battle begins…now!"

At that the gong sounded and all speculation from the crowd and other Guilds had been making while the girls squared off ended as the mode in the water shifted to one of combat as the girls geared up to see who would start it off. Noelle had no intention of doing so and just backed up a bit to be clear of any initial attack, her wand ready and senses on high alert in the water as she ascertained the situation and the opening attack that ultimately came from Lucy.

"Guess I'll get this party started then." Lucy announced to them as she pulled out a golden key and thrust it into, well, the water just below her and turned it while Noelle watched warily. "Open, Gate of the Water Bearer! Aquarius!"

There was a flash and a moment later a Celestial Spirit that Noelle had not seen before appeared and revealed itself to be a beautiful, if slightly haughty seeming, female mermaid with long aqua blue hair, a blue tail and wearing a blue bikini top over an impressive bust with golden bracelets and bands on her arms. She carried an urn for some reason but Noelle was instantly on guard at the arrival of the Celestial Spirit as she sensed that this mermaid was strong. She was one of the 12 zodiac spirits and the one that had Water Magic so Lucy's strongest at the moment which meant that Noelle had to be ready for it.

"What the…so she has a water one as well." Sheila said. "Interesting."

"A spirit, should have expected that from a Celestial Wizard." Jenny added as Minerva just chuckled at the challenge, at least Lucy had some fight in her which meant that it would be really fun to break her when the time came. "I won't let that phase me though."

"A fellow mermaid, well this just got more interesting." Lislie added though Noelle noted that this was the real deal as she kept quiet and watched Aquarius closely. "Let's chat afterwards but for now I'll show that I'm as much of a mermaid as you are."

"Shut up, this is my domain you brazen bimbos, get out of it!" Aquarius yelled showing that she had some anger issues, not that Noelle minded they were with a mermaid underwater so it kinda made sense, as Aquarius raised her urn, Lucy now behind her holding onto her tail, and blasted out a swirl of water at the other girls. "Begone!"

Water caught Jenny, Sheila and Lislie in it while Minerva seemed to vanish though Noelle recalled that the woman used some kind of Spatial Magic so that was likely what she used to get clear, showing that at least three of them couldn't handle the attack. Juvia on the other hand got in the way of the move and countered with her own, a spell called Water Cyclone.

Noelle was impressed as she calmly backed up a little more in the water and controlled the water around her to keep her in a simple, peaceful, pocket that pushed the water around. As such Noelle was unaffected by first Aquarius's attack and then Juvia's counter which was a similar style of water magic that was blasted out of a magic circle and met Aquarius's head on to clash together.

To be able to match a zodiac spirit's power, Noelle would have to ask Nero and Gordon later about how strong zodiac spirits were considered, was damned impressive. Even with Juvia's quick loss to Asta in Hidden Noelle wasn't going to count her out because, well, Asta was Asta so he wasn't going to lose to her anyway. That and clearly Juvia's alleged ability to turn her body to water, Noelle hadn't seen that yet so she couldn't confirm it, gave her a great defense against swords so she'd not expected Asta's sword to work on which had been her own mistake, not that she'd have beaten Asta even if she'd known.

Regardless, Juvia was now showing her strength as she held her own against Aquarius in the battle of waterpower while chatting with each other like old friends, which surprised Noelle both in the friendship chat and that Juvia's voice sounded a lot like Kahono's which was oddly reassuring to Noelle. Still, she was going to be sensible, calm, and patient.

This was just the start and while Jenny, Lislie, and even Sheila weren't really threats in the water, Lucy had just shown that she was a match for Juvia, who'd confirmed that she was as much of a threat as Noelle had expected, so she was going to have to wary of them as the Fairy Tale girls duked it. Despite this, Noelle wasn't going to count out Sabertooth either as Minerva was clear of this battle and likely biding her time just as Noelle was.

To Noelle's surprise, and that of all those watching, it seemed that Juvia and Aquarius were evenly matched in power which said more about how strong Juvia was than Aquarius as it was clear that the latter was just as surprised as the rest of them. Noelle did hear Juvia claim she was doing it for her 'darling' which meant that she had a boyfriend so Noelle had nothing to worry about from her when she met Asta unlike how Kahono was around Asta at times, not that she was worried or cared of course.

That brief distraction flustered Noelle as she shook her head to get rid of it and as she'd not really moved it gave the impression to Jenny, who along with Lislie and Sheila had finally gotten themselves under control now that there was some sense of stability with Juvia and Aquarius matched in strength, that Noelle was open to a surprise attack. She took that and swam hard and fast at Noelle.

"Don't get distracted, your Guild is…" Jenny began as she flipped going for a kick to Noelle's face.

"Nice try insect." Noelle said her old arrogance returning for a moment as she got her mind under control and moved her wand in the water to shift the water around her and move Jenny off target before adding some force to her back as Jenny passed her in the water. "You're not even a blip on my radar in this event."

"What the…?" Jenny said her eyes wide in shock as she was effortlessly moved out of the way and then forced out of the water with a yelp of surprise still kicking her foot forward. "Ah! No fair, I thought I had her."

"And we have our first contestant out of the water and it's Jenny Realight of Blue Pegasus who made the mistake of trying to take on Noelle Silva." Chapati said as Jenny wailed in the air before crashing to the ground and landed hard on her ass on the arena floor. "Blue Pegasus are out of the event and the crowd is cheering."

"She does have Water Magic so this is a battlefield suited for her." Yajima said. "But I feel like she's got a lot more to give than just a simple shift of water, this is the Black Bull Guild after all and we know now not to underestimate them."

"Thank you very much for that display of grace." Lavian added. "There was almost a sense of regal elegance to that move and Noelle's got a noble bearing to her, she'd make a great leading lady in a play."

Noelle ignored this as she focused back on the battles as they kicked up a notch. Juvia and Aquarius were still going at it in what seemed to be a stubborn stalemate but with Jenny's attack on Noelle it had inspired Sheila to get involved and use her Sky God Slayer Magic to try and blast Lislie out of the water. However, the chubby girl altered her weight and slimmed down to her skinny form to ensure that she couldn't be blasted out now that she was more streamlined while proclaiming the benefits of chubby power.

That was a little odd but Noelle decided that it was best to leave them to it as they weren't threats to her in this battle. Right now the main threat was the still ongoing water battle between Juvia and Aquarius though with Minerva lurking somewhere Noelle had to keep her guard up for her as well. However, the main battle only lasted for a few more moments before Noelle heard Aquarius suddenly announce that the battle was going on too long, an acknowledgement of Juvia's skill as she'd managed to hold Aquarius off to the point of declaring their engagement a draw.

"Hang on, I need you right now!" Lucy complained at this. "What could possibly be more important than helping me out right now! You're my best and that's when there's only a little water around, in water and together we can win this."

"My man is more important; you'll realize that when you final confess to that boy you like." Aquarius said turning back and smirking at Lucy while still holding off Juvia before she got serious and looked over to Noelle having sensed what the girl truly was shortly after her stalemate with Juvia began. "And besides, even if I could best Juvia, which might not be possible given her improved power and skill, that silver haired girl's Water Magic is even stronger and unlike any you'll encounter in Earth Land, especially one of the spells her grimoire has. Even I'd struggle against that spell in here given the control over magic it affords her. Been a long time since I saw someone from the Clover Kingdom, wonder what she's doing here."

With that and no more explanation to Lucy about what she'd just said, Aquarius proceeded to just vanish and abandon her. Lucy was too pissed at Aquarius for leaving her, and insinuating she had a crush on Natsu which she totally didn't, to pick up on the rest of the statement. No one else seemed to either as now that Lucy lacked her trump card she was at Juvia's attack increased and she blasted it at her guildmate without any hesitation.

Noelle had to give it to the blue haired girl, even in the same Guild she wasn't holding back when it came to the Grand Magic Games and clearly Lucy knew it as well as she began to swim upwards while Noelle just watched and kept herself in a good situation to act when she needed to do so. It wasn't good for the blonde who pulled out another key and demanded help with a hint of desperation in her voice as it glowed.

A split second later there was a puff of what looked like pink smoke, or at least Noelle thought that it was smoke until she realized it was cotton that absorbed the water attack while a second figure appeared to grab Lucy and get her away from the attack. The cotton was created by a pink haired girl with curly rams horns on her head in a cotton bikini top and shorts that looked like something Charmy could make and as she'd come at Lucy's call she had to be another Celestial Spirit. It also confirmed to Noelle that something like Cotton Magic existed in this world too.

However, the shy spirit girl who was apologizing to Lucy wasn't the one who saved her. No that was reserved for another pink haired girl in a black bikini with white frills on it like a maid outfit would have for some reason, complete with the maid bonnet and collar that just seemed irrelevant additions. However, and Noelle had to blink to confirm it as the girl now holding Lucy, who she addressed as Princess and her and the other spirit as sexy defenders, had a pair of metal manacles complete with arm length chains on her wrists.

What kinds of Celestial Spirits were these? Likely zodiac ones but which ones? Noelle would have to ask Gordon later as he understood this more but clearly the fans and Lavian loved this.

Noelle just ignored that as Juvia, now fully focused on taking out Lucy, put even more power into her next spell. Noelle had to move around to keep clear of the battle, and the one between Lislie and Sheila that was going on off to the side but wasn't much to note as it was pretty evenly matched at the moment, as she watched the masochistic maid spirit carry Lucy around while complaining that they weren't on solid ground and the shy sheep spirit created more cotton to block the attack.

It was a powerful spell that Juvia used but the spirit blocked it easily with her cotton. Noelle had to give it to the spirit, she may be shy but she had power and Noelle hoped that Charmy was watching as cotton was an effective counter to water it seemed.

As this was going on the other fight in the water was uneventful until Wendy yelled out support for it that got the commentators involved and again got Chapati to be creepy when it came to her. If Noelle wasn't in the middle of a battle she'd have blasted water out at the commentators for that, and for the Lavian guy asking to swap in Wendy for Lucy, or as he put it the blonde bimbo in pigtails, as that was uncalled for. She fully agreed with Lucy's shout at him for it.

Regardless all that was put to the side as Juvia declared to the whole battlefield that it was time to stop pulling her punches. That instantly got Noelle's attention as what she'd seen so far was easily on the level of a noble, if not Solid's level so if Juvia had more to give then Noelle would be ready for it.

"Now, I'll take all of you out with one move with my latest attack!" Juvia declared as she thrust her right hand in the air and the water seemed to be pulled there as her magic flared and Noelle instinctively knew that she'd need more than just simple water control to survive what Juvia was about to unleash. "It's my strongest technique, unleashed by my Second Origin and refined by my lover's heart. Darling Gray Love!"

"Water Creation Magic: Sea Dragon's Cradle." Noelle said as Juvia revealed the name of her own spell, or at least she thought it was the name it was a strange one indeed, and formed a ball around her within the water that protected her and was fully under Noelle's control.

It was just in time as a powerful whirlpool of water formed around Juvia and blasted through the battlefield complete with hearts for some reason. It quickly swept up Sheila and Lislie and blasted them out of the water in that order ensuring that Lamia Scale came 6th and Mermaid Heel 5th pending the outcome of the final showdown before either girl could react or defend against the attack.

However, that was all that the spell got as the other three were able to defend against it. Noelle just rode out the attack in her spell, Minerva who Noelle finally was able to notice as she didn't move but her hands glowing with a strange magic she'd never seen before that had to be the Spatial Magic the woman used, and Lucy who was behind a wool wall and holding onto the shy sheep spirit while the masochistic maid spirit pushed her ass to keep her there and rode out the attack.

It was certainly an impressive bit of magic that Juvia used and showed Noelle why she should be worried of Juvia as it came to an end. When it did Noelle dispelled her own protection to see that Juvia was smiling at her power.

She had every right to show off though for whatever reason the moment it ended Juvia got distracted and turned, a light blush gracing her cheeks, and looked to the Fairy Tail Team A, not her own Team B, observation box. That was where her darling Gray was but Noelle didn't know that. All she knew was that Juvia was a threat and if she was going to leave herself open like this then Noelle was just going to nudge her along a little.

Juvia of course was looking at Gray to make sure he saw her latest display of love for him. He of course looked horrified at it, that she took it for being sick, and didn't notice the shift in the water. However, before Noelle could actually push Juvia out she vanished and reappeared right outside the sphere showing that Minerva had taken that moment to strike as well and had gotten rid of Juvia while also announcing her presence to the other two. Juvia for her part didn't realize this as she held her pose in the air, a look of surprise on her face, as she blinked twice before falling to the ground.

"Oh and after that powerful attack Juvia is out of the water and has come 4th." Chapati said. "Looks like Sabertooth has finally joined this fight."

Lucy would have noted that but she'd dispelled her Spirits to preserve her magic but it was clear that Minerva was now making her presence known. The Sabertooth woman had considered using territory to get rid all three other girls but that would have been no fun for Minerva as she wanted to make an example of Lucy and test the Black Bull girl to see just how good she was after that Guild won the first two events. Now she had the two other girls right where she wanted them and she could make it clear who the best was.

"Two left and just the two I want to play with." Minerva said as Noelle swam around so that the girls were in a rough triangle as they faced off with each other. "I could send both of you away in a heartbeat but the people want a show so try to survive as I deliver that show. Please scream though."

At that Minerva held out her hands and suddenly the water temperature began to rise. Noelle could keep it cool around her and protect herself, though it took all her concertation to do so, but Lucy couldn't and she began to scream in pain from it as it scalded her. Noelle's eyes went wide at that, this was pure torture, the kind that she'd expect from the worst of the nobility or in some cases royalty like Solid and Nebra, and she couldn't stand it. It reminded her of the worst of her siblings and what they'd done to her.

Well, Noelle wasn't going to let that happen as she moved her wand and blasted water out of it and right at Minerva as hard as she could. The move was more to distract her and stop the attack on Lucy, not blast Minerva out of the water and Noelle knew it but it worked as Minerva vanished to move to another spot in the water a little annoyed that the silver haired brat hadn't been affected by her magic but Noelle didn't care as it gave her the moment to do what she had to do.

"Water Creation Magic: Valkyrie Armor – Mermaid Form!" Noelle said as her grimoire, still in its protective bubble, glowed with magic and flipped to the right page.

Before either Minerva could react or Lucy could recover from the attack she'd just been through her eyes still closed in pain as she panted where she floated, the water around Noelle seemed to merge before it formed into an ocean blue mermaid tail with a forked fin as a skirt seemed to form over her waist to connect it. Up top all that was formed was a pair of breast protectors over her breasts in a bikini top style and bands on her wrists, biceps, and a matching choker. She still had the tiara and lance but the rest was new as she finished forming the armor.

This was the culmination of her hard work in the Fiore, a new form for her Valkyrie Armor that traded protection for speed and made Noelle one with the water when she was in it as this was designed for aquatic combat. The only thing that Noelle really didn't understand with it was why it seemed to push up her breasts and make them appear bigger than normal, and yet still not as large as Mimosa's were though they were close, but right now she didn't care about that as she kicked in the water and shot towards Lucy.

"No you don't." Minerva said her arms out as she recovered from her surprise at the sudden spell and surge of magic from the Black Bull girl who'd clearly been holding back and Minerva thus couldn't allow her to continue. "You're too strong I can see that now; you won't be any fun to play with so begone…wait what."

"Did you try something?" Noelle asked, she was actually curious as Minerva's eyes went wide as she tried and failed to move Noelle with her magic which made no sense to her though she was unaware that in her Valkyrie Armor Noelle had full control over any magic that came in contact with her lance and after training she'd extended that to a protective layer over herself that boosted her mana skin so a simple spell to teleport her away wasn't going to work. "Anyway get out of my way, you're not worth it for me at the moment, I'll deal with you later. Water Creation Magic: Sea Dragon's Roar!"

"Damn it you're one of those, since when was there one who could use water, well other than that Emperor of Ishgar that is but he's clearly not you." Minerva snarled as Noelle, mid swim, turned and blasted out her Sea Dragon's Roar from the end of her lance and at Minerva. "At least I can handle that without an issue."

Noelle wasn't focused on if it hit or not, or that Minerva was a little surprised by how the spell wasn't an oral based one by blasted from Noelle's lance, as she turned back to Lucy who she'd just reached and put her arm under around her waist and lifted her over her shoulder to swim to the edge of the sphere. As she did Noelle noted two things. One that Minerva had a defense for her ranged attack as she just teleported her spell away so that it missed which meant that she'd have to get up close and personal to win this, and two that Lucy's team were already running down to the battlefield to help out.

"Wh, what?" Lucy asked as she blinked her eyes open, her body felt heavy like it was made of lead and she was still sore from the attack so she was a little out of it as she looked down to see that she was over someone's shoulder, a set of decently sized breasts pressing into her thighs, and a blue tail kicking through the water so she naturally added. "Aquarius? You came back to save me. Thank you, you're the best."

"Not quite but she's not the only mermaid here though for me it's just a form my spell can take but I am sure the girls of Mermaid Heel will have some questions for me when this is over." Noelle said snapping Lucy back to it as she reached the edge and let go of Lucy so that she floated in front of it before turned to put herself between Lucy and a now royally pissed off Minerva who was glaring at them. "I was just waiting for the moment to use it, seems like now's the time to do so because I can't let someone like her bully you like that. Plus we like you fairies, your Guild helped out and accepted a man all of us admire back home a long time ago so I'm going to help you out and make sure that you come second."

"Why can't I use Territory on you?" Minerva asked her tone low and angry as she tried again but Noelle resisted it though this time she felt the tug on her only for it to vanish as she was in control of the magic around her, this was just like that elf with Compass Magic when she first learned Valkyrie Armor only with Spatial Magic so Noelle knew that she could handle it. "You are nothing compared to me and yet I can't affect you at all. How is this possible? How dare you defy me!"

"You know nothing about me but I can tell your attitude right away." Noelle said her own voice now cool as her fury rose but she kept it in check as she noticed Minerva's hands glowing right before she blew up the water around Noelle though Noelle just controlled the after affects away. "I once had it myself but I've grown up, realized my mistakes thanks to my friends showing me what true happiness is, and now I will stand up to bullies like you who abuse others for their own amusement just because you see them as weaker than you are. People like you remind me of what I endured growing up and I won't let anyone else endure that."

"Strength is all that matters." Minerva said getting control of her rage as she wasn't going to let this brat get the better of her. "And clearly you've got some if you can withstand me. I was going to blast you away but now that you're defying me I won't because I am going to enjoy breaking you."

"I've dealt with worse than you and come out stronger for it." Noelle said as she noticed that Fairy Tail Team A was now on the arena floor and ready to help out. "So now I'll deal with you and ensure that Sabertooth comes last in this event. Sorry Lucy but I must handle this alone, I've got a lot of pent up anger at people like this bitch to work off but don't worry, your boyfriend is down there to catch you and I'll end her before the time limit expires."

"What?" Lucy asked confused as Noelle swam up a little so that the lower portion of Noelle's tail was in her face. "I'm…"

She didn't get to finish her statement before Noelle brought back her tail and then forward to slap it into Lucy's face and upper chest which was large enough to absorb a good portion of the blow. She didn't even had time to yelp though as she was send backflipping out of the water and into the air. Only then did she yell as she fell only to be caught in Natsu's arms princess style much to her surprise, and then went red as she recalled Noelle referring to him as her boyfriend but she didn't stop him from holding her like this as she found that she liked it.

"And with that it's one on one time." Chapati said as Natsu put Lucy on the ground so that they could watch the fight between Noelle and Minerva and a giant hourglass appeared and the sand began to fall with the countdown in lacrimas above it and the crowd got really reaved up for it. "Will Sabertooth win it and extend their lead or will we see the Black Bulls pull off yet another impressive event win for the third time these games? The five minute rule is now in effect as we are down to our final two competitors. If either of them are knocked out of the water before the timer runs out then she will be ranked in last place and only get one point for her Guild."

"I still don't understand why this rule exists." Yajima said. "Is there a reason for it?"

"It's all about the entertainment, in a spectacle like this, just like in a play, you've got to keep your audience on the edge of their seats." Lavian said. "It is the golden rule of show business after all and what is a sporting event but an unscripted show."

"Well then, you're bold but you've just not learned your place yet." Minerva said as Noelle began to swim towards her and Minerva responded by blasting explosions at Noelle that Noelle just cut through with her lance or easily avoided as she swam her movements graceful and elegant now that she had her mermaid form on. "I will have to teach you who you're dealing with because Sabertooth is the mightiest and strongest Guild in not just Fiore but all of Earth Land. You belong on the ground beneath my feet you worthless piece of trash!"

"Hearing it directed at me from someone who is not of royal blood really annoys me." Noelle said as she continued to block or slice through the attacks as she steadily got into position knowing she'd need to use a variant of one of her spells to end this and get past Minerva's defense but to do so she had to be in position to strike before she could teleport away hence the more elegant swimming. "Where I am from I am royalty and in the past I've looked down on the insects below me but after my guildmate showed me that peasants weren't what they seemed I began to change and now I know that all deserve to be treated equally, that it is the job of those of us with power to protect those who are the weakest."

"Fool, the only one who is royalty here is me! I am a queen and I will show you why you, you little brat." Minerva yelled as she started to get desperate and Noelle moved where she needed to be as Minerva ranted so that Noelle managed to get to where she needed to be without Minerva realizing that she was doomed before she leant forward for her final attack knowing that she had it now. "You will bow down and respect me you worthless insect!"

"No this ends now! This is where I show all of Fiore that the reign of Sabertooth is over and that new number one Guild will be the Black Bulls!" Noelle roared as she used her tail to dash through the water and close the gap to Minerva before she had time to teleport away with her territory and thrust the water lance at her causing the older woman to back up but that was just what Noelle needed as the tip of her lance made contact with Minerva's abdomen ensuring that Noelle had full control of that moment. "Water Creation Magic: Point-Blank Sea Dragon Roar!"

"What, no I can't…" Minerva began her eyes wide at the spell as she desperately tried to use territory to get away but she still couldn't because Noelle had control over the magic around them thanks to her lance so that was all Minerva got out as a massive dragon's head made of water burst from the lance and grabbed Minerva in its jaws.

Minerva let out a scream of pain as Noelle held the lance in both hands and blasted the rest of the spell's body out with Minerva still in the dragon's maw as the teeth sank in slightly causing Minerva to bleed into the water. However, they weren't deep enough to do more than hold the older woman fast as Noelle didn't want to injure Minerva too badly.

As such there was no way that Minerva could avoid it now as she was blasted backwards by Noelle and carried out of the water bubble with an explosion of water to knock her out of the battle. That automatically gave Noelle the win as the entire crowd gasped in wide eyed shock at that while all of Sabertooth's team had their jaws on the ground at what they were seeing.

It wasn't done there though as Noelle had to finish the spell and properly punish Minerva for her words while also putting a stamp on her words about the Black Bulls becoming the top Guild in Fiore so the Sea Dragon's Roar roiled in the air with Minerva still in its mouth before it looped around and dove down to crash into the arena floor with a boom. As it did the spell ended and dust was blasted up and around it while the crowd was watching in stunned silence at the exclamation point Noelle had added to her win.

Finally the dust cleared to reveal a bloody and battered Minerva on her back, spread eagled and embedded in a crater in the floor her eyes white showing that she was unconscious. There was no doubt who the winner was and for the second time that week the Black Bulls had landed a major blow on one of Sabertooth's top 5 members following Asta knocking Rufus off his spire and through a building in Hidden on the first day only this time it was their top member in Minerva and the manner was even more dramatic.

"And that is it folks!" Chapati announced the shock clear in his voice as Noelle let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding. "With more than half the time remaining in the 5 minute rule Noelle Silva has blasted Minerva Orland out of the water to win the Naval Battle and ensure that Sabertooth comes last in it."

"This is certainly a surprise." Yajima said as Noelle relaxed and then began to swim to the top of the bubble of water to add the cherry on top of her win, and to show off a little. "The Black Bulls have shown us that they're strong but Minerva is considered the strongest in Sabertooth so for her to lose, even against a wizard like Noelle who uses water magic, it's unheard of. Even when we stopped underestimating them, the Black Bulls continue to surprise us and Noelle has shown that she's in the top echelon of female wizards out there with that win."

"It was a good show with a lot of grace." Lavian said. "I shall remember this for my next play."

Noelle ignored them as she reached the top and burst out of the water in her full mermaid form, head thrusting back as the water blasted around her in a graceful arc and her hair whipped out behind her. It may be a bit much but it was her way of showing that she'd won and the crowd gasped at it as she reached the apex of her exit. Also it was sure to get Asta's eye and hopefully a complement from him in addition to her win, not that she really wanted that of course but it would be nice to get it.

However, Noelle wasn't done as she changed her armor as she began to fall to turn it back to the normal Valkyrie Armor she had for when she wasn't in the water getting cheers and gasps from the crowd, as well as a lot of pictures from the media in attendance, and a lot of commentary that she ignored. Instead she just gracefully glided through the air on a stream of water coming from her feet with a smile on her face as she circled the water sphere several times on her way down to the ground of the arena as everyone watched.

This was her moment and she was going to enjoy it to its fullest. She kept it up until she neared the ground and finally allowed herself to listen to the commentators again.

"Well after that stunning display of Water magic from our winner, the Naval Battle has come to an end." Chapati said as Noelle landed on the arena floor and her Valkyrie Armor fell from her just as Asta, Finral, Magna, and Luck rushed onto the arena floor to meet her and the rest of the Black Bulls cheered and smiled at her from the box showing that they'd had full confidence in Noelle the entire time. "And what an ending! None of us saw the power that Noelle Silva had before this but it's safe to say that she's one of the strongest, if not the strongest behind God Serena himself, Water Magic users in Fiore."

"I'll say." Yajima added as Noelle suddenly went red realizing that she was in her bikini right in front of Asta so there was no way he wasn't going to notice but the praise he would heap on her after the commentary ended would be worth the embarrassment. "Juvia of Fairy Tail Team B is known for her talents in Water Magic but what we saw was a different kind. If I had to guess, Noelle can actually control the Ethernano around her to some extent when she's in that armor as she called it, that's the only explanation for how she wasn't affected by Minerva's Territory though I think it would only work in water. Regardless of how she did it, she did and used that to her advantage with that spell at the end as I've never seen Dragon Slayer Magic like that but that's what it had to be."

"It was truly a great performance and that speech was worthy of the theater itself." Lavian added as Sabertooth's team finally recovered and began to make their way to the arena to help take Minerva to the infirmary while their Guild Master, and her father, fumed where he sat in the stands and those around him began to give him a wide berth. "I knew nothing of the Black Bulls before the Grand Magic Games so this was a wonderful introduction to them and to think they had a Dragon Slayer like Wendy in their Guild as well, it made for a fantastic show at the end."

"Well said and so here are the results of the Naval Battle." Chapati said as the scoreboard appeared with the official standings on them. "In first place is Noelle Silva of the Black Bulls and thus gains 10 points. While Minerva Orland came in second for Sabertooth she was knocked out within the 5 minute rule and thus has been demoted to last and earned 1 point meaning that the others are all boosted up one spot."

"Correct so that means that Lucy Heartfilia and Juvia Lockser of Fairy Tail Team A and B respectively have come second and third and earned 8 and 6 points for their teams." Yajima said. "Then in fourth it's Lislie of Mermaid Heel earning her 4 points, Sheila Blendy of Lamia Scale in fifth for 3 points and Jenny Realight of Blue Pegasus in sixth for 2 points. This will surely shake up the scoreboard."

"That it has and as we end the fourth event let's see the current scores before today's tag battles." Chapati said as the scoreboard changed to show the team scores and standings. "And with that final clash the leaderboard has been shaken up though it is no surprise that following a third event win and making sure that Sabertooth came last, the Black Bulls have retaken the lead they started the Games on after Hidden with 38 points. Remaining in second with 36 points its Fairy Tail Team B while Fairy Tail Team A has moved to third with 35 points. Despite the 1 point result Sabertooth has only dropped to fourth place with 33 points while Lamia Scale is currently in fifth with 30, Mermaid Heel has broken the tie at the bottom to hold sixth with 27 and rounding it out is Blue Pegasus in seventh at 25 points."

"Things certainly have shaken up and they're about to get changed more." Yajima said as Sabertooth's team finally made it to the arena at the same time as the medical staff and went over to help out with getting Minerva out of the ground. "Because with the tag battles next and 7 teams something needs to change. Thankfully that was decided yesterday but wasn't going to be implemented until after the Naval Battle so as to determine which score was kept."

"Correct." Chapati said and now everyone was paying attention to the commentors as they realized that 7 teams didn't make for an even number of battles. "So it's been decided that in the wake of Raven Tail's disqualification and the need for an even number of teams when it comes to the battles, Fairy Tail's two teams are to be merged into one with the Guild Master allowed to make it from members of both teams. That will be the new Team Fairy Tail for the rest of the games and they will retain the lower of the two current scores they have so 35. To facilitate this and clean up we will now take a break before the tag battles so see you soon."

Chapati signed off at that and suddenly there was an uproar in the stadium and Fairy Tail itself at the news that their teams would be combined into one. The idea made sense and was necessary, though why they needed to use the lower of the two scores was a bit odd as there was no explanation for it, and as Fairy Tail had really shown their strength with both teams a combined one would be really good. That got pretty much everyone talking.

"I wonder who they'll select." Noelle said looking up to the Fairy Tail box, she'd not noticed that all of their A Team was still on the battlefield having come out to help Lucy and then stayed for the end. "All 12 of them were strong and determined so combined they're going to have one hell of a team."

"Who cares we'll still beat them." Asta said with a grin that got Noelle's attention and she turned back to the rest of her team. "Especially after winning that Naval Battle, you were amazing in it Noelle. I knew you'd win; we all did so we just sat back and watched but that was something else."

"Th, thanks." Noelle said going bright red and not looking at Asta as she smiled at the praise he was heaping on her.

"Yeah really showed your power." Magna said grinning as well. "Knew you had it in you but damn that was something else. You've been training hard ever since we got here and it's paid off."

"You're really strong now so can we fight soon." Luck added shadow boxing. "I want to see if I can hit you in that armor of yours, looks like a good challenge."

"Elegant, beautiful, and powerful, just as you'd expect from royalty." Finral added. "So, how about…"

"We're in the lead because of you Noelle." Asta said interrupting Finral, not that he'd get the answer he'd want and he'd have devolved into remembering Lady Finnes anyway, while none of them noticed that Fairy Tail Team A had finished chatting about the announcement and were heading over to them. "We're going to win this for sure."

"Yes, we…" Noelle began before she was interrupted but two words.

"Thank you."

Noelle had been enjoying the praise that her team, and Asta in particular not that she'd admit that to anyone, were giving her when she was interrupted from that by the voice and turned to face it. Standing close enough for a conversation but far enough back to be respectful was Lucy Heartfilia along with the other members of her team in Natsu Dragneel, who'd caught her after Noelle had knocked her out of the water, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster and Wendy Marvell. Given that Lucy didn't seem to have any injuries on her it she'd been healed between being knocked out and now, likely by Wendy's magic.

Right before Noelle had knocked Lucy out she'd noted that her team had rushed down to the battlefield after it became clear that Minerva was going to cause Lucy to suffer rather than just defeat her but she'd been fine in the end thanks to Noelle so they were doing that. Regardless, Noelle hadn't expected them to all come up to her after the event especially with what had just been announced about their teams but they had so she was going to be polite to them in return.

"Um, what are you thanking me for?" Noelle asked looking at the other girl as her own team formed behind her, this was the first proper interaction she'd had with one of the Fairy Tail members who'd been missing when they arrived in Earth Land so she was going to use it to assess the other girl. "I knocked you out and prevented you from winning that event."

"I know but you also saved me." Lucy said as Sabertooth finally got Minerva's unconscious body out of the ground and took her to the infirmary to be healed up all while giving both the Black Bulls and Fairy Tail hard looks because it was clear that both Guilds were legitimate threats to Sabertooth's top ranking so had to be beaten. "She was going to be really brutal to me, I know it. Besides, it wasn't like I was going to beat Minerva, she was clearly too strong but you were able to not just withstand her but beat her, that was impressive."

"She did have a ki not too dissimilar to Raven Tail's." Asta said as Noelle looked a little confused at that. "So that could be the case. I think she enjoys inflicting pain which is just wrong."

"I'll admit, she did seem a little unhinged and acted all superior and arrogant when she had no right to be." Noelle said. "And there was certainly cruelty there. It is why I made sure that Lucy wasn't on the receiving end of it but I still knocked her out."

"So like you back in the day minus the cruelty." Magna pointed out. "And the unhinged part."

"Shut it insect." Noelle said glaring at him and causing Fairy Tail's team to blink at that though Magna just shook his head so it clearly didn't bother him.

"We're not on good terms with Sabertooth at the moment." Lucy said getting Noelle's attention again. "There have been a few recent issues that Natsu in particular has taken with their Guild practices. She was likely going after me because of that, at least to some extent, so I shouldn't have been surprised."

"They treated that girl so badly." Natsu said punching his fist into his palm and causing fire to erupt from it. "How could they treat a member of their family like that just because she lost a match."

"The other Celestial Spirit Wizard?" Noelle asked as she realized what Natsu was saying. "I was wondering where she was and why Sabertooth had brought in their reserve."

"She was kicked out of Sabertooth for losing to Kagura." Erza explained to them. "It's the Guild Master's right to do so but still that is a bit much and he apparently humiliated her in the process."

"I tried to show them a lesson because a Guild is a family and you don't treat family like that but that chick cat-napped Happy." Natsu said angrily. "So I had to relent. We wanted to make them pay though but they had it out for us as well it seems. Next time though, I'll beat them for sure."

"So thank you again." Lucy said silencing Natsu before he could get too fired up. "I don't know what Minerva had in store for me but I don't think that I'd have liked it."

"I was just doing what I had to." Noelle said with a flick of her pigtails as she let some of her old arrogance come into her voice. "And that woman disgraces all who call themselves royalty so ensuring that she was last was for the best. Plus it meant that we're now in the lead, it was a tactical decision in the end but I don't regret saving you or what I said so you're welcome."

"I'm grateful for what you did even if you had other motivations because that was an event so we all had our own motivations but in the end we're all on the same side as Wizard Guilds so thank you." Lucy said before adding. "And your magic is incredible. I think Aquarius recognized you as stronger than Juvia with Water Magic and that's saying something. Plus, that mermaid thing you did was really cool."

"Thank you, I recently developed that variant to my Valkyrie Armor for when I'm in water so that was one of the first battle applications of it." Noelle said. "It's called mermaid form and while it's not as protective as the normal armor in increases my speed and mobility underwater which was what I needed to win that battle."

"I must ask, how did you avoid her Territory?" Erza asked. "Minerva is know for her skill with that spell so being able to avoid it is impressive."

"Ask me again after the games end and I'll tell you." Noelle said. "There's still a day and a half to go so we're still rivals. As such I will not reveal something like that."

"Understandable and with the merging of our teams the master will chose a good one to win it." Erza said respecting Noelle's decision and knowing that she'd have to have her Sea Empress Armor ready should she fight the other girl as both her Water Magic and water armor were really strong, and after seeing that battle Erza really had to try and figure out where Noelle got it from so that she could add that and its mermaid form to her collection. "But when this is done I hope you tell me about that and your armor, I'd love to acquire some for myself as I can see the benefits in both that normal form you showed after the event and the mermaid one."

"It's a little tricky as I make the armor with my magic, it a spell I know." Noelle said pointing to her grimoire which was still in the small Sea Dragon's Cradle that it had been in since before the event began. "So you can't really acquire it."

"Damn." Erza said annoyed at not being able to get that cool armor. "I was hoping to buy some but I guess with your magic it does make sense that it's a self-creation."

"Oh yeah your magic, it's Dragon Slayer Magic, isn't it?" Natsu asked suddenly excited as he grinned at her. "I didn't expect to see another Dragon Slayer here. Which generation are you? If you're first, who was your parent dragon that taught you it and when did you last see them."

"Huh?" Noelle asked confused at everything that Natsu was saying as that was the third time that someone had made reference to her magic in such a manner. "You think my magic is Dragon Slayer Magic?"

"Isn't it?" Natsu asked as Wendy nodded from next to him also looking intently at Noelle. "Your final attack was a roar attack. All Dragon Slayers have it. Mine's Fire Dragon's Roar."

"And mine's Sky Dragon's Roar." Wendy added. "So you've got to be a Dragon Slayer as well if you use a roar spell. Only Dragon and God Slayer Magic has that and yours is a dragon, we heard and saw it, so it's got to be Dragon Slayer Magic."

"Yeah and how is yours so developed to create a dragon like that?" Natsu asked. "Ours just create swirls of our element but you can make a water dragon with it and can blast it out of that lance thing, it's so cool! I want to be able to do that so how do you do it? Is it a special thing that your dragon parent taught you or is it because you have a lacrima implanted in you so you're second generation? Or both, that's possible apparently."

"I'm sorry to say but…" Noelle began as she tried to process what the two Dragon Slayers were saying to her and let them down gently but before she could finish her grimoire suddenly glowed bright blue and Noelle felt her magic surge within her in a way she'd never felt before. "…huh? What's happening?"

"Noelle, your grimoire." Finral pointed out. "It looks like you've learned a new spell."

"Um…" Noelle said as she dismissed her spell protecting her grimoire and caught it as it opened to a set of blank pages to see the writing form on the pages just as it did when she learned a new spell but unlike her other new spells there was no diagram of it. "I, I don't know because this doesn't look like a new spell."

"What are those books?" Gray asked them as he looked at the open one in Noelle's hand as he'd noted that all of them had one that they used when they fought. "You all seem to carry them."

"Grimoires." Finral explained. "Magical tomes from our homeland that we get at 15. They're tied to our souls so to speak so only we can use them and they choose us, usually in a special ceremony but if you miss it you can just go to one of the Grimoire Towers in our country and get one when you're of age. Where we're from most of us can only use one magic that we're born with, there are some exceptions but they are really rare and the one I encountered wasn't natural, so the grimoires of our homeland help bring out our maximum potential."

"I see." Erza said her hand on her chin as she studied the book though the whole single magical type was a bit odd to her even if most in Fiore specialized in a single type themselves. "We certainly have magical books here in Fiore and on Ishgar in general but nothing like that."

"But why did hers glow?" Wendy asked as she looked at it. "And it looks like it has blank pages? I'm confused."

"Most grimoires are blank or only have a few spells in them when you get one." Magna explained. "Over time and through training and personal growth, as well as life or death situations, you add more to the blank pages. It's rather complicated but that's what Noelle's has just done."

"What did you learn?" Asta asked. "Something cool I bet."

Noelle wasn't listening to any of them as she read what was in her grimoire on the two pages and her eyes got wider the more she read. It had stunned her at first but now she was at a loss for words at what had happened to her magic but Asta was right it was certainly cool.

Magical Merging – Creation of a Sixth Generation Dragon Slayer; the Sea Dragon Slayer

Due to prolonged exposure to Ethernano, the magic of Earth Land, in combination with your own high levels of mana from your own world, the nature of your intrinsic spells, and the recognition of them by Earth Landers as a magic unique to their land your magic has merged and evolved to fit this new land that you currently call home. This is a rare phenomenon and the only time it has happened because it can only occur if certain factors have been met which for you they have been.

This doesn't necessarily make your magic stronger or increase your power, those levels are the same as what you were born with, but it does alter it to be in line with this world's magic. In your case your magic has become Dragon Slayer Magic and due to the circumstances of it and other factors involving Dragon Slaying Magic in Earth Land you are now considered the first and only 6th Generation Dragon Slayer in exitance. Your status is unique and only if the same factors that have changed your magic are met, or in reverse a Dragon Slayer form this world was to obtain a grimoire from yours, could another be made.

Congratulations, you are now the Sea Dragon Slayer! This is a variant of Water Dragon Slaying Magic but specifically tailored to your spells and skills. As such, the following changes have occurred within you to fit your merged magic:

1 – Your senses have been enhanced though it will take time to adjust to this and it does mean that the weakness afflicting all but 5th Generation Dragon Slayers now afflicts you too.

2 – All your spells that you currently know are now altered to be Dragon Slaying Magic and thus capable of affecting and, if necessary, killing dragons in Earth Land should they appear again.

3 – Any future spells you learn or an alteration to a spell like Valkyrie Armor will be Dragon Slayer Magic.

4 – From now on consumption of your element, in your case water, will allow you to replenish your strength and magical reserves. For this any water will do but salt water is better than fresh and sea water is the best of all.

5 – As a Dragon Slayer you are now immune to almost all attacks from, and forms of, your own element so water spells will no longer work on you. As a side effect of this you can effectively breath underwater without the aid of a spell as you're now immune from drowning as well. The exception to this is water based God Slayer Magic. Note that Ice Magic, while technically frozen water, is considered a different element and as such can affect you, same with any king of Mist or Steam Magic.

6 – As your Dragon Slaying Magic has been acquired in an unusual manner and is of a unique nature you are no susceptible to the side effect that plagued First Generation Dragon Slayers when the magic was first developed.

7 – Finally, this change in your magic is permanent so even when you return to your world they will remain. That means that all positives and negatives associated with Dragon Slayer Magic will be present should you return.

Noelle blinked as she came to the abrupt end of the writing and turned the page to check but she didn't see anything there so it looked like this was it. There was no new spells, just two pages describing her magical change which she felt and noted that her magic didn't feel stronger only different and it might take a little bit to get used to.

It was a lot to take in so she read the entry again and then flipped back look at her other spells and noted that all now had an amendment to them noting that they were Sea Dragon Slayer Magic though only her Sea Dragon's Roar had changed how it worked to fit what she'd seen of Wendy's Sky Dragon's Roar though she could still use it as she'd done so in the past if she wanted but it wouldn't be as effective apparently so Noelle would have to train to see which was better so that she could use it depending on the situation. Otherwise it hadn't changed anything else.

"Noelle?" Asta asked as she continued to stare at her grimoire. "Earth Land to Noelle."

"Huh?" Noelle said as she finally heard Asta's voice and looked up and over to him as she closed her grimoire. "What do you want Dorksta?"

"You've been out of it for a few moments." Asta said. "What was the new spell that you learned?"

"Oh right that, um, well, it wasn't so much a spell as a notification that my magic has for lack of a better word evolved." Noelle said as merged wasn't the best word with Fairy Tail present but causing all of them, both the Black Bulls and Fairy Tail Team A, Juvia had long left to mortified by her loss to face her beloved Gray when he appeared to help her rival out, which Lucy needed and thankfully Natsu was who caught her, to look at her. "Yeah, it was an explanation of what happened, not a new spell like normal."

"Evolved?" Asta asked.

"How's that possible?" Magna added. "I've never heard of that."

"Well mine kinda a did after that incident." Luck said. "It at least got stronger because some of it remained."

"I think certain situations can cause it and Captain Jack's Severing Magic can adapt with his sadistic desire to slice things up." Finral added. "But this isn't it as far as I know."

"It appears that certain factors needed to be met, factors that I was not aware of, for it to happen and referring to my magic as Dragon Slayer Magic was the final factor it seems." Noelle said as she finally closed her grimoire and held it in her hands along with her wand. "When that happened my magic evolved into Dragon Slaying Magic. It's not stronger, I don't feel stronger either, just different and I can really tell that its different now."

"Wait so you are a Dragon Slayer?" Natsu asked getting their attention. "I'm confused because I thought that you always were one what with the spells you were using in that battle."

"I'm with Natsu on this." Lucy said as Erza, Gray, and Wendy nodded because they were all convinced from the first time they heard Noelle use a spell when she set up that bubble to protect herself from Juvia's attack that she was a Dragon Slayer. "So the magic you used to win wasn't Dragon Slayer Magic after all?"

"Your incantations, other than for your armor, were all the same as what a Dragon Slayer would use." Wendy added. "So we just presumed you were one when we heard it, especially the roar attack."

"Well no that wasn't Dragon Slayer Magic but from now on it will be." Noelle said confusing them even more as she tried to find the right way to explain it without revealing their true origins. "See, where we're from we don't have Dragon Slayer Magic because we don't and never have had dragons as far as I am aware, but apparently my magic is compatible with Dragon Slayer Magic and my natural power levels are high enough that when you viewed my magic as Dragon Slayer Magic it evolved into it. Kinda like an adaption I guess though I don't actually know why it did that."

"That's so cool." Natsu said and Asta nodded at that with stars in his eyes.

"Is that even possible?" Gray asked.

"Anything is possible with magic I think." Erza said thinking on it. "I've seen so much that wouldn't otherwise be possible so this is likely just another phenomenon that required certain conditions to be met. I guess there's another way to become a Dragon Slayer beyond learning from a dragon or having a special lacrima implanted into you."

"So that makes you what, a Fourth Generation Dragon Slayer?" Wendy asked Noelle. "Natsu and I are First Generation, Laxus is Second Generation, and I think those Sabertooth guys are Third Generation."

"They are." Natsu said.

"Actually my grimoire says that I'm a Sixth Generation Dragon Slayer." Noelle said causing even more surprise and she was with them there but she didn't show it as she continued. "So I presume that there are Fourth and Fifth ones out there as well."

"Wait what?" Natsu asked. "Until that incident with Laxus I hadn't even heard of Second Generation Dragon Slayers and then I learn of Third before the Games, which is a mix of both First and Second Generation, began because of those guys in Sabertooth and now you're saying that there are two whole generations out there that we don't know about? How are they made?"

"You're asking me?" Noelle asked. "I barely know anything about this. None of us had encountered Dragon Slaying Magic until we arrived in Earth…er Fiore so we have no idea what they would be."

"Yeah Natsu don't be an idiot, she clearly stated that her magic changed because we referred to it as Dragon Slaying Magic." Lucy said hitting Natsu in the back of the head in a way that showed both familiarity and a level of frustration born from something a lot deeper so Finral crossed her off the flirting list but Erza was still fair game he felt just nor right now, and then he remembered Lady Finnes and his new loyalty to her. "Sorry for him, he can be a bit dumb at times."

"Trust me, I know that feeling well." Noelle said looking to Asta which gave away her own still denied feelings for the short, muscle bound, moron next to her which Lucy could totally sympathize with, both the annoyance of dealing with a dense man and the complete denial of romantic feelings towards said dense man. "It can be tiring but I don't mind it."

"We'll just have to find out about the other generations another time." Erza said as the battlefield was finally cleared but the break before the battles was still going on. "For now we know that there is a Sixth Generation Dragon Slayer as well. It will be interesting to see what you can do with your altered magic, Noelle."

"Does that mean that you're now the Water Dragon Slayer?" Wendy asked. "You know, because you're clearly a Water Wizard and all."

"No, like you, my title seems to be a little different from the attribute, er, element as you'd say." Noelle said shaking her head. "So I'm not the Water Dragon Slayer."

"What are you then?" Natsu asked eagerly.

"The Sea Dragon Slayer." Noelle said. "Which given the names of my spells makes sense."

"But water works fine for you, right?" Wendy asked though Noelle was right, it did make sense as they'd hear her use the term Sea Dragon's whenever she case a spell so the Sea Dragon Slayer was fitting. "Like how air works for me and my magic is effectively Wind Magic."

"Correct." Noelle said with a nod. "I can apparently consume water the way you consume air though sea water is best apparently. Naturally I've not yet tried it out and have a lot to process. This change may not have done anything more than change how my magic feels but it is a lot to take in so if you don't mind I'd like to return with my team to our Guild's suite."

"Of course, as nice as this chat was, and we are grateful for what you did for Lucy in the Naval Battle, we should all return to our Guilds." Erza said. "We need to sort out our combined team after all."

"Right, come on let's go tell gramps to let me compete." Natsu said as he turned and hurried off. "I've got to be on the united team."

"Oh hell no, I'm going to be on the team." Gray said as he turned and ran after Natsu minus his shirt that he'd somehow taken off as Natsu was hurrying off. "Not you flame brain."

"Shut it stripper." Natsu said as they left.

"Both of you behave." Erza added as she turned and ran after them her fist clenched.

"Sorry for them." Lucy said with a sigh as Wendy bowed her head in embarrassment. "Anyway, thank you again for saving me, I hope that we can chat more after the Games are over and we're no longer rivals."

"Agreed." Noelle said with a nod of her head. "I'm sure our Guild would like that; we have great respect for Fairy Tail as we'd heard of you before we came here so getting to know you will be nice. I meant it when I said someone we all respected was once in your Guild and he was the one who suggested we come to Fiore so it will be good to know you lot better."

That confused Lucy and Wendy but they nodded before they turned and left to make sure that Natsu and Gray were ok, force clothes back onto Gray, and to learn of their combined team. The Black Bulls just paused for a moment as they processed that before they too turned and left. They had to report Noelle's change while she ate some of Charmy's magic recover food and go from there as they got ready for the tag battle that was to come.

It had been an exciting event on the fourth day, one that they had won which had thus boosted them into the lead with a bonus at the end with the emergence of a new Dragon Slayer. Now they had to hold it as the day progressed into the battles and the Games drew ever closer to concluding.

A long chapter, longer than I'd initially thought it would be, but eventful and exciting I'm sure. At long last we can see Noelle shine and show off, I've teased it a bit but I know that until this moment there wasn't really a time to show it but now that she's had it she's really shown it with a win over Minerva and a securing of the lead for the Black Bulls. Anywhere but in the water and Noelle might be hard pressed but in the water this was like facing the elf for her and she was able to overcome it, save Lucy from the torture she suffered in the anime, and show why she's on the Black Bulls' team with a solid win that ensures that Sabertooth is now at a significant disadvantage. To top it off, and as several requested and endorsed, Noelle is now a special 6th Generation Dragon Slayer. Her magic has not increased in power, she's still a Stage 1 Mage, but it's evolved to fit Earth Land and can be seen as the equivalent of her learning True Water Magic during her time in the Heart Kingdom that of course is replaced with the banishment to Earth Land. This also means that I will now be taking suggestions for potential new spells in line with this as well as a potential new form for her Valkyrie Armor, a Dragon Slayer form so feel free to suggest. Do not worry, I do have plans for Mimosa and becoming a Plant God Slayer to balance out the cousins in terms of changes and keep them even in their ongoing rivalry is one of them, but that is coming later and will be via different means though again spell suggestions are welcome on that front as well. Anyway, that is all that I have for y'all, next up is the tag battles, well the first two as the Battle of the Dragon Slayers will likely get its own chapter, and that means that the Black Bulls are up once again but who will face Ichiya and Nichiya in that battle?
