Here is the nineteenth chapter in this story released when I wanted it to be released based of my release process for this series. Asta, Noelle, and Luck have come back from their dungeon mission with some new scars, items, and growing experiences for all of the participants in the dungoen mission and while Asta may have almost died, he didn't thanks to Mimosa Vermillion of the Golden Dawn so he's got to recover and get back to full health. What could possibly ruin this peaceful recovery, it's not like an old acquaintance of Asta's is going to show up naked and cause an issue, is it? One thing to note about this chapter was that it was a little hard to slot into the timeline because it's a confusing one as it implies that it happened after the dungeon mission but before Rades's attack on the Capital, but the anime implies that the attack happened the day that Asta woke up from his recovery. Part of the problem is that this is an episode that is neither based on the manga nor a filler episode as it is actually based on one of the few light novels that accompany Black Clover. Regardless, I felt that this was the right place for it so it goes here in my story. That is all I have for the administrative stuff I have for y'all and there are no guest reviews that need a response or questions to answer so I will end this here. Chapter 19: Pervert

"How's Asta doing?" Tatsumi asked as Akame returned to the hideout, closed the door, and came to join him on one of the sofas where Tatsumi was tending to his sword to get the nicks out of it from training so that it was back to normal for when he next used it in combat. "What with that gut wound he took during his latest mission."

"Pretty well so he should be fine in a few days, whatever that Golden Dawn girl did was impressive." Akame said with a nod as she sat next to her boyfriend and a sheep cook from Charmy brought her a tray of meat from her latest kill to enjoy. "He's pretty much fully healed, just a matter of getting his strength up before he can do something like that again. All he needs for that is good food, rest, and a gradual work out progression."

Tatsumi nodded at that relieved to hear that Asta would be fine. A week ago, Asta, Noelle, and Luck had headed to a newly risen dungeon that had appeared on the border with the Diamond Kingdom on the orders of the Wizard King to claim the treasures there for the Clover Kingdom before the Diamond Kingdom could come in and take them to fuel their unquenchable thirst for raw materials and resources as part of their war like nature. The Wizard King had personally requested Asta for this mission for reasons still unknown and Yami had sent Noelle and Luck with him to get the treasure.

While there they ran into Asta's brother from Hage and current rising star in the Golden Dawn, Yuno, along with Noelle's cousin and fellow royal Mimosa Vermillion of House Vermillion, and some fussy classist supervising them called Klaus. Thankfully, Klaus's attitude towards commoners, well at least towards Asta and Yuno if no one else, got beaten out of him by both of them, and to an extent Luck, saving him and together defeating a powerful and magically augmented Diamond Mage.

It was a long story that Noelle had told as best she could, all while worried for Asta despite denying it. Luck also helped tell the story, but he was clearly thrilled with the battles that they'd had with the Diamond Mages, especially the strong ones, so it was a little confusing coming from him as well.

Regardless, it was clearly an intense experience, one where Luck seemed to have had some kind of personal growth during it regarding teamwork against a Smoke Mage. Meanwhile, Asta did well beating the Diamond Mage and his Mineral Magic when they first ran across him, and that guy was apparently one of the best up and coming Diamond Mages.

However, the Mineral Mage revealed that he had access to a second attribute through some strange grimoire experiment done by the Diamond Kingdom. That was unexpected but given the Diamond Kingdom's habit of experimentation and state sponsored assassination and training programs that were on the level of what Akame went through in her first life if not worse it probably should have been expected. Regardless, it was used it to heal himself and break free of Klaus's binding spell to attack again.

During the second engagement the mage showed that he'd adapted to Asta's sword and was able to beat him and badly wound Noelle. However, in the process of that he'd sent Asta through a wall where Asta had found a second sword that seemed to be tied to his grimoire and worked similarly though was smaller, single handed, lighter, and could absorb magic somehow.

That last part was discovered when Noelle, as her cousin was healing her, was able to fill it with her mana so that Asta could use a water slice that quenched the recovery flames the Diamond Mage was using as the second attribute he seemed to have was Flame Magic. They still didn't how that worked but it did and once again beat him only this time Asta took a shard of crystal to the gut that badly wounded him.

He would have died from the wound had it not been for the quick actions of Mimosa Vermillion who it turned out was a gifted healer with her Plant Magic and had healed herself, Noelle, and patched Asta up to save his life. They were still in danger and would have died but Yuno apparently used some powerful, new, wind spell that finally beat the Diamond guy for good so that they were in the clear.

They would have captured him for questioning but by then the dungeon was falling apart so the 6 Magic Knights worked together to get out. Between Yuno's magic transporting them, Luck's mana detection finding the path, and Klaus and Noelle using their magic defending them they got out and ensured Asta survived.

Things were made a little worse by Noelle jumping on his wounded gut after Asta's initial recovery, they still didn't know why she did that, and she would say though given her ripped clothes from the blow she'd taken during the mission that they saw when she returned Asta probably made some innocent comment about them that she took the wrong way and went full Mine on him. Seriously, she was a lot like Mine to the point that it was quite eerie.

Regardless Noelle did care deeply for Asta and had been checking in on him daily until he recovered though she denied that she was worried. Of course no one actually believed her denials, and she didn't help them at the moment seeing as she was currently out gathering restorative herbs for him with a book Vanessa had on the subject.

Asta himself was better now, especially after having eaten like Charmy, and was up on his feet at least. He had been out for a whole week but wanted to get back to training so Akame had gone to help him there as she knew the best ways to train to build back strength after being wounded in battle. She also wanted to inspect his new sword to see how to adapt his training to fit a style with it or even a dual wield style with his massive sword as he had the raw strength for that.

Other than the dungeon mission though things had been pretty normal for the Black Bulls lately, so they were enjoying this nice little break with not much to do most of the Squad relaxing in the common room. That peace was about to be broken in a rather strange way soon but none of them knew that just yet.

"How is his new sword?" Tatsumi asked as Akame began to tuck into the meat. "I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet."

"Strange." Akame said as she tore off a chunk of meat and enjoyed it. "Definitely a standard double edged blade, or was, but now it's all dirty and blunt like Asta's other sword and is stored in his grimoire. Odd thing is though that I can't touch it like I could the other one."

"What do you mean?" Tatsumi asked.

"Well when I tried it just began to suck the magic out of me as if absorbing it." Akame said as she tried to explain the experience. "Really odd. As such I can't accurately recreate it as it's still a rather unique design but given its size that's not an issue. I can create something similar enough to train him with."

"That's good, a second sword will…" Asta began before there was a scream from outside that got their attention followed by the booming sound of a magical attack. "What was that?"

The sound got everyone's attention and they turned to the door to see it as Yami came into the common room tired and complaining that he couldn't get a decent nap with the racket that was now identified as Noelle screaming at something outside. That had the whole squad on edge as Noelle was their friend and teammate, so Akame was already summoning Murasame just in case as others primed their magic, Tatsumi and Yami had their swords out, or in Charmy's case grabbed her frying pan.

A moment later a panicked and scared Noelle, who was still screaming at something to get away from her, burst through the front door of the hideout and with an impressive level of skill leapt over the largest and most solid thing she could find in the room to hide behind. Said thing was Yami who was now really confused at what was going on.

"Don't let him touch me Captain." Noelle said as she cowered behind Yami clearly terrified of whatever she'd run from.

"Er what?" Yami asked concerned for one of his Squad as the sound of panting came from outside and they all turned to the door as an older, clearly male, voice called out to them.

"You've got it all wrong." The man said as he appeared in the doorway revealing himself to be redhaired main in his late 20s or so with a disheveled look to him. "I'm not some kind of creep miss, I swear, all I want is a real quick look that's all. I'll even pay you for just a peek, that's all I want, please. I…"

As the man had been speaking he had fully come into view and his not a creep line was spectacularly ruined as he was completely naked and scuffed up, likely from Noelle defending herself with her magic, wearing only his belt with his grimoire bag. There was no way to look good in this situation for the man and he quickly realized it.

That was mainly due to 4 grimoires instantly opening and glowing as Gauche summoned a mirror, Magna a fireball, Luck lightning, and Akame several blades all pointed at him as she took an attack stance ready to thrust Murasame at him. Along with this Yami had his katana out and on his shoulder, Tatsumi his sword at the ready, and Charmy with her pan held up and ready to swing it. All were ready to attack the pervert before them for scaring their Squad mate.

"Oh shit." The man said.

"Akame, blunt all of your blades." Yami said as everyone primed to attack the creep before them. "We should take this pervert in alive so he can answer for scaring Noelle but there's no need to be gentle in the process. Tatsumi, put your sword away and use some armor instead."

"Yes Captain." Akame said as she did as instructed while Tatsumi reluctantly sheathed his sword before using his raw magic to create a standard pair of armored gauntlets over his hands and forearms that he clanged together as he glared at the pervert before them. "It's your lucky day, for the moment at least."

"Please, this isn't…" The man began before he was struck by several blasts of magic, a fair few blunted blades, a gauntleted punch to the gut that brought him to his knees where he was swiftly knocked out by a frying pan to the face as Vanessa, who was only in her underwear herself, took Noelle to a couch to comfort her.

Once the man was thoroughly beaten he was bound with rope and placed in the middle of the common room on his knees in such a way that they couldn't see his nether regions anymore as blood ran down his face, and his grimoire was taken away as the Black Bulls minus Asta who was still training somewhere outside, and the others not present surrounded him. It was time for answers and Finral was already finding the communication device to call this into Magic Knight Headquarters and report the pervert to them.

"Feel my wrath pervert." Charmy said as she broke the silence by walking up to the man and banging his head with her frying pan while Vanessa comforted Noelle about being set upon by said vile man when all she was doing was helping her teammate out. "Pan is only one letter away from pain, you got it."

"What where you up to?" Yami asked looking down at the man. "She came running in scarred as hell and then you showed up chasing her and naked, not a good look there at all. You're lucky I decided to capture you rather than kill you for that and there are people here who won't hesitate to do so."

"Please, I swear this isn't what it looks like." The man said in a pleading tone looking around the people in the room and quickly noting that they all wore the same robe, well other than the guy who'd just spoken as his was more a side cape, with the same logo on them so he quickly deduced that he was in a Magic Knight Squad's base, so the situation was now worse for him. "I was robbed, that's why I'm like…"

"Nobody wants to here it you exhibitionist freak." Magna said lighting some fire on his finger. "A little fire should teach you a lesson I say."

"Let's let him lose, it will be fun to capture him again." Luck said excitedly as lightning crackled between his hands. "Please Captain, can we do that?"

"You don't deserve to be a part of the same world as my darling sister Marie." Gauche added as a mirror floated up next to him. "So, it's time to die."

"No, I've got something better for him than death, that's a little too kind right now." Akame said as she walked forward and crouched down in front of the pervert. "Consider this punishment for making me see your dick before I even got a chance to see my boyfriend naked and I was looking forward to him being the first and only man I saw like that. You ruined that for me, so I think it's only fair that we take the offending organ and burn it to purify our minds. Plus, you really are lucky the Captain asked me not to kill you for how you scared my friend."

"Wait no, please." The man said as he looked up into the blood red eyes of the girl before him and his blood ran cold, the eyes glaring at him were colder than any assassin he'd known or any soldier of the Diamond Kingdom, even Mariella had nothing on this girl. "I…"

"Shut it and take your punishment, just don't get any pleasure out of it." Akame said as her grimoire flipped to the right spell. "Blade Creation Magic: Specialty Blade – Gelding Knife."

"Gelding knife!" The man yelled as there was a flash of magic and the girl before him was suddenly holding a long, serrated, single edged knife with a hook at the top that connected it to a flat, straight edged blade. "And Blade Magic, seriously? You have that attribute? This really isn't good at all."

"Magna, grab it so I can slice it off, he may had sullied my eyes with it, but I can keep my hands clean at the very least." Akame said ignoring the man's protests as she lifted his chin with the flat top of her blade. "And yes, my attribute is blade so it's pretty self-explanatory as to what I can do."

"Er Akame, I am your superior and I'm not touching it." Magna pointed out. "Plus you are still trying to get off that probation you're one, aren't you? I don't think gelding a captured prisoner, even if he's a pervert who scared Noelle, will fly over well with the Wizard King. I doubt you'll clear your review for this."

"That's fine, I'll take another year of probation." Akame said. "A fair trade off if it means I can purify my mind."

"My manhood is not a fair trade." The man protested really confused as to who this raven haired girl was, though he felt that there was something oddly familiar about her in some sense, because she was clearly a killer who wouldn't hesitate to make good on her words. "I swear, this is all a misunderstanding. If you'd just…"

"Silence, you don't get to talk after you scared my friend." Akame growled as Noelle continued to as Vanessa rubbed her back. "She's traumatized by it, as are we all, so this will help. Now shut up and take your gelding like a man. Magna, grab it and then cauterize the wound after it's been removed."

"Yes, Knights Headquarters, this is Finral Roulacase from the Black Bulls reporting that we have a pervert in custody here and will be bringing him in at once." Finral said to the projection of the person on duty at headquarters that heard Akame's statement, so he added. "And I promise you he won't be gelded before then."

"What, but it's a fitting punishment." Akame said.

"Come on Akame, it's not worth it." Tatsumi said as he put a hand on her shoulder. "Shit like this happens. There are just some perverted freaks out there who get their rocks off exposing themselves to people. Don't worry, I'm sure this man won't be able to do that for a while."

"Yes this is just a misunderstanding, I'm not some pervert or anything." The man said. "If you give me a moment to explain myself I can tell you what happened."

"You don't get to talk." Tatsumi said as he helped Akame up and took her hand in his though she did keep a hold of her gelding knife in her other hand. "Not after what you did to Noelle."

"Misunderstanding works at the tavern or in the street not when you arrive naked in front of one of my Squad." Yami said. "I think at least."

"Clearly we are having some communication issues." The man said with a sigh. "If you'd just…"

"Zell?" A new voice said, and they all turned to see a shirtless Asta with bandages over his gut carrying his big sword on his shoulder with the bird Nero sitting on his head in the doorway. "Is that you? What are you doing here?"

"Wait, is that Asta?" The man, Zell apparently, asked turning to the door a mix of relief and shock in his voice. "Finally, someone I know who can help get my point across."

"Yeah and you're not looking so good." Asta said as he walked in. "Are you alright?"

"Other than the crazy chick with a gelding knife I kinda am." Zell said. "At least I'm safe and I have a lead now that I want to explore once I get a chance to explain what actually happened to me before I ran into your Squad mate."

"Crazy chick?" Asta asked as he looked around and saw that it was Akame who was holding the knife in question with her grimoire floating open next to her. "Oh, um, yeah if I was you Zell I really wouldn't call her crazy. Honestly, she's probably the most dangerous person in this room though Akame is usually only deadly when she has to be. What did you do to set her off?"

"Yeah I figured that with the threats to my manhood, she's not happy she saw it, and the fact that she uses Blade Magic." Zell said as Akame glared at him. "But anyway, it seems like you've made it into a Magic Knight Squad, congratulations. I knew that you could do it."

"Wait you know this man Asta?" Yami asked as everyone processed what was going on.

"Yeah, old man Zell was the guy who taught me the sword." Asta said as Zell complained that he wasn't old. "Pretty weird to run into him here of all places. He's a good guy other than the habit of losing his clothes. He was naked when we met and again within moments of us parting ways, so this is actually normal for him."

"Huh, alright well then if Asta vouches for you come on let's get you something to wear." Yami said as he picked up Zell and took him to get changed. "And untied of course. Akame, dismiss that knife though we won't report this as your reaction was justified."

"Yes Captain." Akame said dismissing the knife and grabbing her closed grimoire out of the air to put back in her satchel. "You're lucky you know Asta, old man."

"Thank you Asta and I told you this was a misunderstanding." Zell said as he was taken away.

A few moments later he came back with Yami having been untied, patched up and now wearing what looked like a set of Yami's clothes. He then sat on the couch an explained how he had been robbed and was stripped of his clothes by the robbers which did explain why he still had his grimoire because those things were soul bound and unless they were super rare like Yuno's four leaf grimoire not worth anything to collectors on the black market.

"You could have told us that you were robbed." Magna said. "Would have saved all of this misunderstanding business what with beating you up and capturing you."

"I tried but you weren't listening to me, which I guess was fair after what happened." Zell said. "But the gelding was a bit much."

"Yeah, yeah semantic details." Yami said though Zell didn't think that his manhood almost being removed was a semantic detail.

"Doesn't matter the reason you still didn't cover up." Akame said as a blade appeared in the air next to her to make her point as Charmy approached with a fresh roll of bread. "So, I had to see it, as did all the women here."

"Here you go, sorry for the pan beating." Charmy said as she handed the bread to Zell. "And it's better bread than dead as I always say."

"Huh, thanks." Zell said as he took the break while Gordon started mumbling and noticing the Squad Captain, Yami if he recalled correctly, looking at him closely. "Er, what's up?"

"Just wondering if we've met before." Yami said as Zell took a bite of the really good bread enjoying having something to eat. "Because you look familiar to me, but I can't place it."

"Oh, er, no I think I'd remember meeting you." Zell said looking away as he was sure he knew where Yami would have met him and right now he couldn't reveal that as he'd be captured for sure if they learned who he truly was. "Your style is rather unique; I'd remember a sword like that."

"Well then how'd you end up at our hideout old man?" Asta asked interrupting any response Yami had as he tried to place where he'd seen the pervert before but the whole being naked when he arrived at their hideout thing through Yami for the moment. "You're the last person I'd expect to see here. I thought you were still looking for someone and other than us there's not really anyone in this part of the kingdom."

"Huh oh well actually, er, Noelle was it." Zell said turning to look at Noelle who hid behind Vanessa some more and glanced to Akame to make sure that she was in striking distance of the old pervert which thankfully she was. "I am really sorry for frightening you like that, I kinda lose my clothes often so forget about it. I should have been clear from the start though, I simply wanted to ask you about your wand, that's all. I noticed it right away."

"That's what you wanted to see?" Noelle said recovering a little at the statement, enough that she was able to lean forward to look at the man. "Why?"

"Because I am certain that I know who made it as it's a woman who I've been seeking for a while now." Zell said. "She's called Domina, or at least that's the name she'd use here, and we got separated a while back. I've been searching for her ever since. That's actually how I ran into Asta as I was hoping she'd meet up with me where I met Asta but after an incident I had to keep moving and look for her."

"Domina?" Noelle asked. "That name doesn't sound familiar."

"Yeah, seeing you again brings it back." Asta said recalling now. "She's your fiancée, right?"

"Er well I'm not sure because the person who made this went by the name Code." Noelle said pulling out and looking at her wand. "She's makes a lot of items like this."

"Yeah, she doesn't sound like this Domina." Vanessa said. "I know Code, she and I have a certain similarity that we both kinda ran from, so we get along well whenever I see her."

"Huh, so you're from there as well." Zell said smiling as hope began to fill his chest. "Because it is her seeing as her full name is Dominante Code. To me she's Domina but I guess she uses her last name here to avoid being found by those after us. Please, tell me where you got that wand?"

"From a stall in the Black Market in Kikka, the Castle Town that is by the Capital." Noelle said. "She sells them there along with many other magical items."

"The Castle Town, I'd have never thought to look there." Zell said as he smiled and covered his face in his hands as tears began to fall. "Thank you, I've finally found her."

"Yeah that's awesome news Zell." Asta said grinning. "She's alive so what are you doing here? Go and get her."

"You're right Asta, I should now that I know exactly where she is." Zell said. "And thank you all, I know we started off on the wrong foot because of how I arrived but now you've given me the best news I could have asked for."

"Well then as this is about love and I know the Black Market I can take you to her." Vanessa said as she slugged back some wine. "I know just where to find her."

"Thank you and Noelle, listen." Zell said looking at the silver haired girl. "Because of you I'm going to be reunited with the woman that I love, so thank you. I hope that one day you know what this feels like with the person you fall for."

"I, I didn't do anything though." Noelle said blushing a little and trying not to think of a certain gray haired, musclebound, commoner.

"You did though." Zell said standing before looking at Yami. "Captain, am I free to go now that everything has been cleared up?"

"Huh, oh er sure just don't go talking about the whole capture thing because even though you were committing a crime we may have come off too strong." Yami said. "Don't want to get seen for falsely imprisoning you. Also, really don't mention the whole gelding thing, that was just a misunderstanding caused by the misunderstanding. Akame is legitimately on probation for trying to kill me before I recruited her, and she's already failed one of her annual reviews. I would like for her to get off it sooner rather than later."

"You're the one talking about false imprisonment Captain?" Finral asked. "And I wouldn't call threatening to geld a prisoner a misunderstanding even if he did show up naked."

"Shut it portal boy." Yami said.

"Yeah, er, I may have overreacted a little bit." Akame said with a bow of her head. "I would appreciate it if you kept the whole gelding attempt under wraps. I was just started that's all, as you have a fiancée you should get it, because I, um, wanted the first I saw to be my love's and we're not at that stage yet."

"Akame." Tatsumi said going bright red as it all hit him, he'd missed that part earlier given the whole captured pervert thing.

"Sure, it was a pretty big misunderstanding all around." Zell said though there was definitely something about that Akame girl that reminded him of something, but he couldn't place his mind to it at the moment. "I am sure Domina will be appreciative that you spared it as well and don't worry she'll no doubt be upset at me ending up naked again."

"Good then use your Spatial Magic Finral." Yami said as he turned to leave the common room. "And hurry to it, I need to take a dump and a nap."

"Alright give me a moment." Finral said as he got up.

"I appreciate it, I should get going as it may be hard to say goodbye otherwise." Zell said before turning to Asta and holding out his right arm at an angle with his fist clenched. "And see ya Asta. I'm glad that we met again even if it was briefly and like this. You're one step closer to your goal so go out and become the next Wizard King."

"Sure, thing old man." Asta said as he raised his own arm. "And you go and live…"

Before he could finish there was an explosion as something hit the ground outside the hideout and blew up with enough force to rattle the building. That was followed by a series of more magical attacks that actually shook the building with one of them striking the side away from the common room as some likely warning shot.

"Get down!" Vanessa ordered as Charmy created a cloud of cotton to protect them.

"Alright, someone's attacking us." Luck said as lightning coursed off him as he grinned. "This is cool, we can go beat them up for this without any issues."

"Alright this time I won't hold back." Akame said as her grimoire flipped to the right page, and she pulled out Murasame while Tatsumi hurried to the door to create shields around the hideout outside to protect them better.

"Right that's bound to be the people after me so time for me to get out so they won't keep attacking." Zell said as he turned and blanched as Yami walked out with a brick from a ceiling on his head and blood running down his face. "Er…"

"Alight I'm pissed now." Yami said his tone deadly as he walked into the common room. "Whoever woke me up just earned themselves a killing. They've attacked the wrong hideout. Akame, I see you're already ready. Where's Tatsumi?"

"Outside making shields to protect the building, they'd come in handy with our counterattack." Akame said. "We'll need it when we take them down. I may be precise but the rest of you aren't."

"Right come with me then, I want you on the frontlines of this defense." Yami said as the brick fell off his head and he headed to the door. "Noelle, create a barrier of water around it then on my order, Zell head out and…"

"Wait Captain, this is a little different." Akame said stopping him in his tracks as she reached out to read the ki of the attackers and noticed something off. "Can you feel it?"

"Huh, oh right yeah." Yami said noticing it as well. "Alright change of plans. Finral, Vanessa, Noelle and Asta, you take Zell to the Black Market, now and await a report. "Magna, Luck, Gauche, Charmy, when I give the order burst out and help attack. Zell, are these guys criminals like the ones who robbed you?"

"No, er, they're Diamond Kingdom soldiers." Zell said as Finral made a portal. "But they are certainly after me seeing as I, um, deserted from the kingdom."

"Huh that was unexpected." Yami said as something tugged at his mind about Zell again. "Alright well Grey, turn into Zell as a distraction but only go out if needed."

"Right Captain." Grey said though now Grey was a double of Zell and not the normal big guy blowing smoke that he normally was. "Ready to act whenever."

"Captain." Akame said as she and Tatsumi returned following the setting up the shields around the place as Zell and the assigned Black Bulls went through a portal to the Black Market. "If those are Diamond Kingdom troops, then doesn't make this an act of war?"

"I'm pretty sure they are." Tatsumi said. "I saw some of the robes the guys in the forest were wearing and they look just like the ones the Diamond troops wear."

"If that is the case then technically this is indeed an act of war by them." Yami said with a nod.

"So standard rules of engagement apply, correct?" Akame asked.

"Yup." Yami said. "Lethal force is authorized. Don't kill any leaders but those grunts, no need to hold back."

"Good to know." Akame said as she looked out the window and past one of the shields to the forest beyond her gut and experience telling her something that the ki she was reading was backing up. "But something doesn't feel right."

"What do you mean?" Yami asked.

"An attack of this magnitude and against a Magic Knight hideout just to kill a deserter, it seems a little much to me." Akame said. "On the face of it this is asininely stupid of them, a trained commander wouldn't order it. To me this comes off as deliberately calculated for another reason that shows that there's someone with specific training calling the shots and not just some unit commander."

"By training…" Yami began.

"Someone with extensive subterfuge and stealth skills and a brain to match." Akame said. "A person who can manipulate a situation for his or her own ends that is, this entire thing just feels like that. The Diamond Kingdom has state sponsored assassins and spies, the bastards who trained me made it clear that they were inspired by what the Diamond Kingdom were doing, and if they wanted they'd send a good one after that pervert and be done with it. There's more afoot to this attack and I'm sure someone with training similar to mine and a whole lot of blood on his or her hands is out there calling the shots for a reason beyond simply killing a perverted deserter."

"Then find them but that person must be taken alive." Yami said. "Got that."

"Understood Captain." Akame said as she shifted Murasame to her side. "Just awaiting your orders then."

"Go." Yami said. "Capture the person calling the shots, you're cleared to kill any Diamond soldier that gets in the way of that."

"On it." Akame said as she leapt into the air and created a blade to crouch on before shooting up and at the wall above the door. "Someone blast the stone out of the way, it's time to defend our hideout."

I think that's a good little cliffhanger to end this chapter on. Initially I had planned on doing Zell's arrival and the defense of the hideout in one chapter but after writing it all out it just felt better as two so I broke it up and the defense will occur next chapter. For anyone wondering the gelding knife used by Akame is based off the one that Ramsey Bolton uses in the Game of Thrones show as I wanted to go for a more archaic, medieval looking blade for that part and that was the best inspiration that I could find for it and Akame was rightfully pissed at having to see Zell naked when she's not yet had the chance (or is ready) to see her boyfriend naked so he deserved to at least be threatened for it.
