Here is the thirty-fifth chapter in this story released in accordance with the release schedule. There is no rest for some of the Black Bulls it seems as the Wizard King has requested four of them for either a meeting of Captains or other undisclosed reasons. Well, those reasons are about to become clear as it is time to see if the Wizard King is right about his theory and if he is then to put a plan into action to capture the person. Hopefully he's wrong but the more Julius sees the more he's certain of it, there's a traitor and it's time to unmask them. That is all that I have for the administrative stuff I have for y'all and there are no guest reviews that need a response, though I thank you for your support of my work, or questions to answer so I will end this here. Do keep them coming as your support is the best motivation for me to keep producing chapters at this kind of rate. That is it for this pre-chapter note so it is time to sit back and enjoy the thirty-fifth chapter in Akame ga Clover.

Disclaimer: I own nothing related to these two great animes.

Chapter 35: Traitor

Yami, Asta, Akame and Tatsumi stepped out of Finral's portal and into the courtyard in front of the tower looming before them that was the headquarters of the Magic Knights with only Asta marveling at it while Akame felt oddly nostalgic as this had been where her life had begun to change for the better, well her second life. They had arrived a few minutes before the time that Julius had requested they arrive but given that this was official business early was preferable to late.

It was the day after the pop-potato eating contest and two days since the end of the incident in Nean and the Wizard King had called for a meeting of the Squad Captains. The reason for the meeting hadn't been told to them, it was an unscheduled and last minute meeting after all, but would become clear soon enough as in addition to Yami, Asta, Akame and Tatsumi had been invited from the Black Bulls though they were not to attend the meeting. No, they were here to either find the person that was the real reason for the meeting being called or to aid in dealing with said person should he or she be found.

Regardless, it was official so all of them were clean and dressed ready for it in their usual clothes. Akame had to put on a brand a new dress, she had several in her style, as her previous one had been ruined in the cave but otherwise they were as they always were. Even the bandages that she and Asta had had after the incident were gone as they were fully healed and ready for action again though Akame was supposed to avoid anything overly taxing for a few more days so she would rely more on range if she had to act.

Given what was about to happen, action might be needed sooner rather than later as they all stood before the entrance waiting. Julius had instructed them on both the time and location to wait when they got here and for good reason, a reason which would soon be made clear as Marx walked out of the building and towards them a few minutes after they arrived greeting them just like he had when Akame had been brought here almost 2 years ago at this point.

"Captain Yami, thank you for waiting and bringing your Squad members with you." Marx said as he came to a stop. "Akame, Tatsumi, good to see you two again it's been too long. Fine work with Lord Highball by the way we've really broken open a serious crime syndicate thanks to his memories. Asta, a pleasure to meet you at last, I've heard a lot about you."

"You have?" Asta asked confused. "Er, sorry but what' your name?"

"Right, should have introduced myself because unlike the others we've never met face to face." Marx said with an apologetic smile. "That was rude of me."

"This here's Mushroom Head." Yami said. "He's an advisor to the Wizard King."

"Mushroom Head was the guy who I was taken to after I was captured failing to kill Captain Yami, well he was the one we met here and then I was taken to the Wizard King." Akame said. "He was the one who verified my story and I was truthful in my desire to leave that life. He was also the person who discovered my mental block and confirmed it was gone, along with showing all my past memories when that happened."

"Same here." Tatsumi said. "For the confirmation part that is, I wasn't captured so all Mushroom Head had to do was check to see that I was reborn as well though I came after my block was destroyed. So, as you may have gathered, Mushroom Head here is one of the few in the know about us so you can speak freely about it with him providing no one is around."

"Thank you Captain, yes I'm Mushroom Head…" Marx said so used to Yami's nickname for him that he reflexively responded to it before it hit him. "Wait, that was both impolite and rude, the lot of the lot of you and please, don't remind me of what I saw in your minds you two. I may be a Magic Knight and have seen some stuff in my time but what I saw in your memories of your past lives, and Akame's one before her capture, still haunts my nightmares. Anyway, my real name is Marx, and as Captain Yami said I am an advisor to the Wizard King so I serve by his side."

"Really? That's amazing Mushroom Head you must be talented to have that kind of position." Asta said stars in his eyes now as he got to meet someone who worked so closely with the Wizard King. "To see him in action, that really is an honor."

"Well Julius certainly doesn't make my life dull that's for sure." Marx said. "And please ignore your Captain and squadmates, my name is Marx not Mushroom Head."

"It's been real fun catching up Mushroom Head especially without a captured assassin." Yami said. "But where's the meeting? I've come as requested so I want to get it started as I look over my new katana."

"I'm still here just not captured and an active Magic Knight now." Akame pointed out though she did notice her Captain's new katana, he must have gotten it while she was recovering so she'd have to ask to see it afterwards so that she could use her magic to strengthen it. "Though the assassin part is still pretty accurate at times even if capture is also now part of my job."

"My name is Marx, sir." Marx said getting a little frustrated at Yami and punctuating every word as he ignored Akame's comment. "And as for the meeting, it's going to be delayed a little as the preparations are taking longer than expected, and you're not the last to arrive we've got one Captain running late. Please wait with the other Captains in the usual room."

"Tch." Yami said but given that this was a meeting run by Julius he should have expected that this might happen.

"Good now Asta, Akame, Tatsumi, please come with me." Marx said. "Akame, Tatsumi, did you bring your special robes? Julius says that you'll need them."

"Yup, got them right here Mushroom Head." Tatsumi said patting a bag he had on his right hip that Asta hadn't noticed until now. "Lead the way."

"Thank you." Marx said and he turned and led them inside the tower with Yami going up the stairs near the entrance to get to the meeting room in the tower while Marx led the others to a flight that lead down. "This way you three. Akame knows it but you boys don't."

Akame followed without hesitation and Tatsumi seemed to not be phased by it but Asta was confused. Still he did as instructed and followed the others as they began to descend down the spiraling staircase while lantern floated off the wall and in front of Marx to light their way.

"From what I've gathered you three had a particularly fine showing the other day in Nean." Marx said as a the walked. "It's very rare for Julius to give out 15 stars at once but you lot more than earned it after all you went through and somehow no one died. Well no one was killed by you two at least. One of the kidnappers being killed by one of his employers turning him into some mud monster is different and we're still not even sure if he's actually dead or not."

"No way we got 15 stars!" Asta said stars in his eyes once again. "That's awesome! We're coming for you Yuno. We've got to be out of the negative now."

"It was close on the death front." Akame said as they walked down the stairs that she knew well even if she'd only walked them once before. "Asta stayed my hand which I am grateful for as I probably would have killed her without his intervention. It is just a shame I couldn't bring Kurome in, I'd like to have had the chance to save her properly this time around."

"I did cut Seryu's arms off the same way Sheele did in our last life so I could have killed her but I don't kill needlessly." Tatsumi said. "She's a psycho who will murder without hesitation but she was beat, there was no need killing her. Plus she might have useful intel either about the Eye of the Midnight Sun or the Diamond Kingdom so looking back on it she was more valuable alive."

"That is what separates you from them, you don't hesitate when needed but you don't do it simply because you can." Marx said. "And Julius will certainly want to know more about the fact that two of your former enemies have been reborn as well. That is not a good sign as there could be others."

"We're aware." Akame said. "We're hoping that she's not back but this isn't a good sign given that Kurome and Seryu were Jaegers. We're already presuming that Bols and Stylish are reborn but where we don't know."

"I would think that we should have heard by now if there was an Ice Mage of unparalleled strength and a penchant for absolute slaughter but seeing as Kurome and Seryu were reborn in the Diamond Kingdom she could have been as well." Tatsumi said. "Or even Spade or Heart for that matter. Same goes for Bols and Stylish. I can't confirm Wave, though he'd defected by then, and Run as they were either still alive or unknown when I died but if they're here they too could be anywhere."

"It is a troubling thought that up to 5 more of your enemies could be reborn and running around the continent for sure." Marx said as they walked. "Of all the stories you told and the memories I saw though, that ice Imperial Arms user was the worst overall though that giant Imperial Arms was really terrifying. Rest assured that we will put our spies on it though."

"Best to be careful with someone like her." Akame said. "So only send the best if you even get a hint that she may be around."

"Understood." Marx said. "From what I understand our asset in the Spade Kingdom is the best by far but I don't know much about him. We've got some idea on the Diamond Kingdom but if we can capture one of their Eight Shinning Generals that would really help. As for the Heart Kingdom, they're closed off but peaceful so we don't have any assets there but if we do end up forging better relations with them they could just help."

"Er, guys, where are we going?" Asta asked interrupting the others as they continued to descend. "I have no idea where we are."

"We're currently in a secret underground prison, well heading to it anyway." Marx responded switching back to the matter at hand and not potential future problems. "There's hardly anyone in the Capitol who knows about it. It's where we keep the very important prisoners, the VIPs so to speak."

"VIPs?" Asta asked. "Who would qualify as that?"

"Well for one I was a VIP as this was where I was taken after I was captured though it as a lot easier going down these stairs not without being in the Captain's Dark Restraints." Akame said helpfully. "Pretty much only those who you want to either hide the crimes of or who are so dangerous or notorious that nowhere else works get locked up here. It's where most of the people Tatsumi and I bring in alive like Lord Hightower end up for interrogation before either being executed or transferred to another prison. I presume the two captured in the attack on the Capital are here."

"Yes, the members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun who were captured during the attack are here." Marx confirmed. "There was no debate in that matter."

"Wait you've been keeping them down here this entire time?" Asta asked.

"Yes it is the most secure place for them given how few know of this place so it's perfect for quiet interrogations that only a few are privy to." Marx said. "However, we've discovered that they've had memory protecting magic cast on them so that they can't divulge any information on their organization which has caused an impasse in the investigation. Even my own Memory Magic is not enough to break through it so they clearly were anticipating that we'd try if a member was caught."

"That's not good." Tatsumi said. "It would be dumb to not have that in place to begin with but to be able to withstand an aide to the Wizard King, that's different. That takes things to a whole new level."

"It is and does." Marx said. "However, the Wizard King has had an idea to break this spell. After all, you do have an Anti-Magic sword so that should do the trick. That is why you're here, Asta. Between this protection and the fact that they clearly anticipated all of our moves during the attack it's clear that they were working with someone inside the Capital. That means that the only explanation is that there's a traitor amongst us and given what they pulled of he or she has to be fairly high ranked at that to happen. For instance a Magic Knight Captain would have the rank needed to provide the necessary intel along with getting access to one of the Guardian Mages who protect the spatial barrier around the Capitol."

"Seriously?" Asta asked. "A Captain would betray the nation? How could any of them do that?"

"We don't want to believe it either, a Captain going rogue is a really bad thing and certainly something we're going to keep hushed up so anything you learn is classified." Marx said though he didn't add that in the past Wizard Kings had gone rogue as well, that was a true worst case scenario and almost had been when Conrad had done so 10 years ago. "As such that is why we need to be absolutely certain that this is the case."

"I see." Asta said. "And I take it Akame and Tatsumi are here to, er,…"

"Provide necessary backup in the shadows should there be a traitor and should that traitor breaks free from our initial attempt to bring him or her in." Marx said. "Though please try not to kill you two, we want the traitor alive if there is one as the intel that he or she might have could be important."

"We can manage that." Tatsumi said. "But we can't promise that the traitor won't be wounded or maimed."

"That's fine, we have healers if it comes to that." Marx said as they reached the end of the stairs and stood before a large wood door with steel supports on it. "We're here. Let's sort this out."

With that Marx opened the doors and they walked in, Asta still had stars in his eyes as he did. He was expecting the Wizard King and he wasn't disappointed.

"Come on in, that was some great work you three did the other day." Julius said waving at them as they walked in, the two prisoners tied to pillars behind him, though given that there was barely any light in the room it was hard to make them out from the doorway. "You saved a village, stopped a plan that we're still unsure of the details of but are sure weren't good, and gained us valuable intelligence on our enemies. That is something to be proud of."

"Thanks Wizard King, sir." Asta said stars still in his eyes at the praise from the man. "I'll try to keep it up and get more results just like you."

"It was luck that we were there but I'm not complaining about that." Akame said. "And even with everything I am glad we learned what we did."

"Yes I'm sorry for that but it does give us an opportunity to find and capture them in the future." Julius said as they all walked in. "And I know you lot must be tired but Asta's the only one who can use that Anti-Magic sword so we need him right now…"

There was a paused as Julius put his hand down that confused Asta, Akame, and Tatsumi but not Marx. He'd known Julius for a long time and he had a feeling that this might happen given how excited the Wizard King had been by the report on what had gone down outside of Nean so he was braced for it.

"However, not only did you fight some of the reborn that we didn't expect to be here in that cave but also some of the Midnight Sun's strongest Mages." Julius said stars now in his eyes as he rushed over to them. "And I got all the details on their magics, were they as cool in person as they were to read about?"

"Er I guess." Asta said. "It was a bit scary at times and I still don't know what one of them actually is though."

"Right that has to be Armament Magic because I don't even know what an armament is." Julius said grabbing Asta's shoulders. "Do you?"

"In the most technical term it is military weapons and equipment that can be used in war." Akame said answering for Asta as he wouldn't know. "They're powerful, high grade, stuff. Seryu had them in our old life as part of her gear after Sheele cut off her arms and she used an organic Imperial Arms which her magic now recreates. Likely when she was reborn that was how this world adapted her Imperial Arms and other things into this world."

"If I had to guess it's a magic that can only be used by someone who's been reborn from our world given how armaments aren't exactly known here." Tatsumi said. "And likely it will only be for an organic Imperial Arms user."

"Yes that does make sense, you magics appear to be derived from an aspect of your Imperial Arms, which itself could play into why you were reborn in the first place though we may never know that." Julius said. "Your Imperial Arms was an adaptive suit of armor, Tatsumi, hence Armor Magic while Akame's was a katana hence Blade Magic, which given her sister also had a katana and magics run in families here that really makes sense but to see two Blade Mages in action must have been a treat. I'd love to study an Armament Mage but Seryu may be the only one in our world."

"Unless our boss died after in the battle after us and was reborn then likely she's the only one." Akame said. "Su was an organic type as well so the boss would likely have that attribute if she was reborn. That said he was killed before Mine was so she didn't have an Imperial Arms in the final battle so who knows."

"Alright good to know but that's just the tip of the iceberg that was discovered." Julius said getting even more excited. "There was Copy Magic, a magic that copies other mage's spells? Amazing! That would give the user all attributes technically so the magic needed to wield it must be immense. Then there's Beast Magic, I've never heard of that one before though there have been rumors that there is one in one of the Magic Knight Squads. Plus the second Spirit to be confirmed in the Clover Kingdom in Flame Spirit Magic, how marvelous! The magic of the Third Eye is truly unique, I wish I could have been there myself."

"Er sorry?" Asta asked unsure what to say but at that moment Marx stepped in.

"Sir, I know that there are a lot of new magics that do need to be studied as our enemies possess them and we aren't sure how best to counter some of them but you need to calm yourself." Marx said. "Now is not the time for this."

"Right, sorry, got a little carried away." Julius said. "Anyway, you've heard the plan, Asta. I think it will work, do you?"

"Absolutely!" Asta said as he suddenly drew his great sword faster than Akame and Tatsumi had ever seen him draw it. "I'm at your service Wizard King!"

"Yay! Anti-Magic in action!" Julius said excited his arms moving at that like a little child. "Finally I get to see it first-hand."

"Why'd they bring this brat down here?" The female prisoner who Charmy had caught, a witch from the Forest of Witches called Catherine asked having been privy to all that was going on and finally asking it. "And for that matter who are the other two with them."

"You'll see, I was expecting this." Geork said his tone down as a grinning and stary eyed Asta began to walk towards them. "That's the kid who uses Anti-Magic. As for the other two, I don't recognize them, though one looks like she may be related to Kurome, but if I had to guess from context and comments they're the two who showed up right before we could break through that royal brat's water dome. Each of them killed one of our comrades without hesitation and caught me in seconds. If they're here then we're as good as dead once they get what they want, if they can use Anti-Magic to dispel the protect magic on our memories that is."

"What!" Catherine asked as Asta chuckled at them as he closed in on the prisoners with stars still in his eyes. "No, don't! keep that thing away from us you piece of shit. We won't betray our Master or die down here!"

Asta just ignored that as he let out a cry and tapped each of the prisoners in the center of the forehead with one end of the cross guard on his sword. He'd done this in the cave to dispel the effects of Neige's spell on the kids so this was the most likely thing to work and work it did as black plumes shot from their heads indicating that the magic inside that was protecting their minds had been dispelled.

"Alright that seems to have done it." Julius said getting serious once again now that the interrogation could proceed. "That means that it's your turn Marx."

"Sir." Marx said as his grimoire floated up before him and Asta fell back to stand behind the man. "Memory Exchange Magic: Memoire Absolue!"

This time the blue domes formed over the heads of the prisoners before light shot up and began to branch out into a tree of sorts though it was made entirely of blue light with the ends of the branches showing images in them. Akame and Tatsumi were impassive as they watched, they'd both seen this spell before so knew how it worked but Asta hadn't so he was surprised by it.

"What does that do?" Asta asked. "And why are there images?"

"This spell lets us communicate directly with their minds so we hear only their truthful memories, and see them for that matter." Marx said. "It is the same spell I used on Akame when she we brought in to confirm her story. It was also how the block was discovered as we couldn't see the memories there but it wasn't magic that was blocking them so I used it again when it was broken to confirm as well as to confirm Tatsumi's own story. All this means is that so long as there is no memory protection magic on them, they can't hide from my questions."

"Whoa, I can see why you're an aide to the Wizard King." Asta said amazed. "That's unreal Mushroom Head."

"It's amazing right? Poking around in people's heads like that is so cool!" Julius said getting excited over magic once again. "Marx was in my Squad when I was a Captain so when I became Wizard King I brought him as part of my personal retinue. He's invaluable to me."

"I can see why." Asta said.

"If you two don't mind I need to concentrate." Marx said getting a resigned sigh from Asta and the Wizard King while Akame and Tatsumi continued to just watch what was going on as there was no need for them to speak. "Good now I'm going to ask you some questions and you are to answer them honestly. Understood?"

"Yes sir." The pair of prisoners said in unison their tone monotonous and their faces blank as they spoke under the effects of Marx's spell.

"Good now let's start with the important thing." Marx said. "Is there a traitor in the Magic Knights?"

"Yes." The pair said.

"Is it a Magic Knight Captain?" Marx asked his face and tone impassive but inside he was already angry, as were the others in the room but they contained it.

"Yes."

"Who?" Marx asked.

"The traitor is…" The pair began. "…the Purple Orca's Captain."

"As much as I hate to be right, I am." Julius said as Marx ended his spell for the moment as they had what they needed for the moment and could interrogate them more in a bit as Julius turned to the others while the prisoners recovered from the spell and remained silent realizing now that all the secrets they knew about the Master and the Eye of the Midnight Sun were about to be revealed now that that spell could affect them. "Marx, in a moment contact the Captains and summon them here as we're changing the meeting location, which was always the plan, but now that we know who the traitor is we need to prepare for him as well. This is why I asked for Akame and Tatsumi to be here."

"What do you want from us sir." Tatsumi said. "We are at your disposal."

"I want you two to put on your robes and head up to the entrance to this tower and station yourselves above it where someone wouldn't look if they were running away from it." Julius said. "And stay there with your senses alert. Yami did teach you both to read ki, right? I asked him to train you two up but I trust him so I never followed it up."

"Yes, about a year ago he taught us and recently Asta too learned." Akame said. "We'll know if someone is coming."

"That is good because in this case it will be vital." Julius said. "You see, the Captain of the Purple Orca's magic, cool as it is, is going to be one of the tougher ones to deal with when we spring the trap."

"Trap?" Asta asked.

"Yes we're going to call the 9 Captains down here and close the doors so that they're all present." Julius said. "And then when they're here we'll confirm it as Marx will already have his spell active again so all it will take is a question to confirm that there is a traitor and then another to identify who it is. No doubt Gueldre will deny it but with the pressure that an answer while under Marx's spell will cause he'll be forced to either submit himself to Marx's spell as well to try and clear his name or flee. If it's the latter, which is almost certainly what he will do, than that's a problem."

"It is?" Tatsumi asked. "I'll admit I don't really know much about him or the Purple Orcas. They aren't really on my radar all that much. If I recall they're usually on border duty out east."

"As a Squad they're mid ranked and yes they usually undertake border protection but they also have a less than reputable reputation." Marx said. "Both the Chain Mage that was detained in Hage a few months back and the Wraith Mage from the attack on the Capital were former members who were expelled from it. There's been a lot of shadiness around them pretty much ever since Gueldre became Captain."

"A shame as they were the first Squad to let a commoner in so they were pioneers a while back." Julius said recalling meeting Zara Ideale and learning a lot from him back when he was still in the Grey Deer. "Though even that wasn't great as it's believed he was killed by his own squadmates who betrayed him as he was saving commoners. Regardless, if there was to be a corrupt Captain then it pains me to admit it but Gueldre was the most likely one. The man's a noble and a business tycoon, one of the wealthiest in the Clover Kingdom in fact and with that he has a lot of influence but there have been a lot of rumors about him and his squad. That is bad enough but to be a traitor, that I didn't expect."

"Given what you've said it likely wasn't hard to corrupt a man like that." Akame said. "We've seen that kind of corruption before. It's what we knew in our old world only on a larger, more institutional scale."

"There has always been issues here when it comes to wealth disparity but slowly they're being sorted." Julius said. "Gueldre is slightly different as for him it's likely all greed rather than class, he has been known to accept a good number of commoners, but now that we have confirmation that he's a traitor we will pump him for all he's worth regardless of whether it's tied to the Eye of the Midnight Sun or not. Same for these two but right now the goal was to find, and then expose, the traitor. After everything I was certain there was one hence the meeting. Now though we need to plan for when Gueldre escapes from here."

"You think he will?" Asta asked.

"Unless we act immediately, and given his rank we won't as he'll have a chance to explain himself, he will." Julius said. "My magic won't be the best down here given what it does and the number of people present but he's a Magic Knight Captain so one of the strongest in the nation and unlike most of the other Captains his magic is especially useful for evasion."

"It is?" Asta asked. "What is it?"

"Transparency Magic." Julius said. "It allows the user to become invisible and in the process they are intangible to all types of magic and that includes magical senses as their magical presence is erased when he's invisible. Well, at least Gueldre's is. However, this doesn't mean that he can't be hit by things, he's invisible to sight but his body is still there so non-magical attacks can strike him. Oh and he can also use it on others and he can use Creation Magic as well though his creations are only invisible, they are not intangible to magic. Really his magic is quite fascinating when you look at it."

"So, at least for Gueldre, which given that he's a Magic Knight Captain isn't a surprise, he can effectively hide from almost anyone." Akame said making sure to keep on topic lest the Wizard King go down a magic geek tangent regarding Gueldre's magic. "I know of a few other magics that can hide or erase a magical presence but to fully erase the body as well, that's a game changer and if it's in an open space he'd be gone."

"But hiding from almost anyone doesn't mean everyone so long as he has a physical body." Tatsumi said with a grin. "And it just so happens that the only 4 people in the Clover Kingdom who don't need magic to find someone using magic to hide just so happen to all be in one place. What are the odds of that?"

"Zero, your ability to read ki was in part why I wanted you two here just in case it was Gueldre." Julius said. "That and your track record of success in bring in, or down, threats to the Clover Kingdom."

"Of course." Akame said. "We will be in position to intercept him should he break free. Tatsumi will have to be the main one as he has a real sword seeing as his intangibility doesn't extent to physical objects."

"That is what I expected really though enough damage and he should be forced to end his spell." Julius said. "And we have Asta to help as well so remember that. Remember that I want him alive; he's got too much intel but he can be crippled in the process as he's lost all rights with this. Also, once the other Captains show up, and they almost certainly will, I want you two to back off and head to my office in the Palace and wait there as Nozel is still annoyed at me for letting you hurt his siblings though I do side with you as your actions were justified."

"They deserved it." Tatsumi said simply. "They disrespected you by their actions, as well as their own family, and when Asta showed them up their fragile egos couldn't take."

"It was to be expected." Akame said. "And they got off lucky."

"That they did." Julius said. "And it is why I want you to fall back once Gueldre is captured. Plus, I am sure that there will be more information once we fully interrogate these two and I expect I'll have a mission for at least you two if not the Black Bulls as a whole."

"We understand." Tatsumi said and Akame nodded at that. "It will be done."

"Good then get into position." Julius ordered.

"Sir." Akame and Tatsumi said in unison snapping off a salute to the Wizard King before lowering their hands and turning to leave.

As they did Tatsumi pulled out their robes and handed Akame hers before he put it on and pulled up the hood as she opened the door having already donned her robe. A moment later it closed and Julius knew that they were making their way to where he'd asked them to be and trusted that they'd act accordingly if the moment came. He gave them a few minutes to get into position as he, Marx and Asta stood in silence before he was sure they'd be there and turned to his friend and aid.

"Alright, it's time." Julius said to Marx as Asta just looked around not sure what he was to do at the moment other than wait here. "Contact the Captains and bring them here. Let's expose a traitor."

I think that's a good little cliffhanger to end this chapter on. Initially I had planned on making this a whole thing through the capture, revelations, mission, and return to the hideout but I realized that it worked better as two chapters and with the lengths of the other two Black Trio chapters coming out at the same time it was a lot easier for me (and got them out faster for y'all). There really isn't that much more to say about this chapter, it's a standard setup for what is to come with Akame and Tatsumi added so you know they'll play a role which will be revealed in the next chapter. As such I will now ended this chapter off here. If you like my story then please follow, favorite, review, PM, etc. it is all appreciated and helps me get better and stay motivated to keep producing more content and any questions asked I will do my best to answer both privately and at the start of the next chapter. Until next time.
