Here is the thirty-fifth chapter in this story released in accordance with my release schedule for this story. It's time to return to school after the post Sports Festival break and there is a lot to return to given how exciting the Sports Festival was and because of that it's pushed things forward for the first years so it's time to make a few important decisions that could have dramatic implications on their futures. That is all that I have for the administrative stuff I have for y'all and while there are no questions to answer here there are three guest reviews that need a response, so I will do that now. Do keep them coming as your support is the best motivation for me to keep producing chapters at this kind of rate.

To Guest (guest), thank you for your review and continued support. Toru leant on the wall but she is the only character in the class with a confirmed anime interest being seen as a fan of what I think is a fake MHA world magical girl series during the third school briefs book which is good because I can make those comments, if there wasn't any confirmation I wouldn't. I'm sure the other Hero Course character who's confirmed to be into anime (not in Class 1-A though is the one who got the response confirming Toru was into a similar franchise) will absolutely salivate and comment on the situation when he or she sees it. Noelle is worried for sure and soon she'll find out if she's right to be worried or not. Asta and Yuno aren't ones to let a simple loss keep them down, they'll work hard to make sure it doesn't happen again. Winter was going to be there for Weiss and a fun little meeting without old uncle Qrow causing a scene, but still mentioned, was good for all of them. I didn't make the joke because it had already been made and unless it is amusingly persistent I won't make it more than one. As for Nozel, well that's the exact reaction that I was going for so good to know that it worked. Do keep reading and enjoying my work.

To Nathon Ramos (guest), thank you for your review and support glad to see you liked it. Yup the podium was full and the power four have established themselves above it with Bakugo actually pleased he won though not the most graceful winner there. As for names, well this is the chapter where the Huntress ones for Class 1-A will be revealed while also revealing how the Quirk Knight names are decided. Do keep reading and enjoying my work.

To KGBeastboy (guest), thank you for your review and comments. On the Kodai front, there are two things I will point out with her in the Obstacle Race. Firstly it is possible she used her Quirk seeing as the canon confirms that Rin, Tetsutetsu, and Shiozaki all used theirs during it with Rin even suggesting they work together for the robots and the fact that Honenuki came 4th in canon means he likely used his as well. However, your point about the robots being shrunk, in my opinion and interpretation of how Size works, likely didn't happen. It's been confirmed that Size works on inorganic materials but when we see it it's never on a complex, multi-faceted, item but rather a singular complete item like a steel nut, a barrel, or a slab of concrete. When it comes to things like this I will almost always err on the side of canon rather than insert my own views on it and in the case of Size the canon isn't consistent with Kodai being able to affect a whole robot and without confirmation I won't make that leap. It's not out of the question that she used it on the metal exterior and worked with Yanagi or others to take them down. She also came 31st in canon and did hold back, that was confirmed by Monoma so it's unclear. As for how it would work on Dust, I'm honestly not sure and it could cause instability issues. I will consider it but I'm also not really planning on dealing with Class 1-B's internships beyond the additions (excluding Shinso). A lot of how offers work will be in this chapter so just wait and see how it goes down and why offers are the way they are done and the logic behind the various agencies and their decisions. You do make a good point on Kamakiri, I often don't really think about Class 1-B but of anyone across the two classes who's an MHA character he does have a rare Quirk that would really appeal to a Huntsman agency and there is at least one that isn't picky. Do keep reading and enjoying my work.

That is it for this long pre-chapter note so it is time to sit back and enjoy the thirty-fifth chapter in Black RWBY Academia.

Disclaimer: I own nothing related to these three great franchises.

Chapter 35: Hero Names and Internships

"Hey, anyone else find it weird that people are now recognizing us from TV?" Ashido asked as most of the class was gathered in their classroom waiting for homeroom to start while the last few stragglers were making their way in. "Cos I do. Everyone wanted to talk to me on the way here about what they saw and I was knocked out of the first round of the battles."

"Yeah me too." Kirishima admitted. "Though for me it was about Yuno's Quirk and what it was like to face that. Couldn't lie, I told them how manly it was."

"Yeah people on the street were staring at me, it was a little embarrassing." Hagakure said her tone happy despite how embarrassing she found. "And I didn't even make it to the third round."

"But isn't that normal for you?" Ojiro asked pointing out the obvious as most took notice of a floating pile of cloths because even in the age of Quirks Hagakure's was noticeable. "And besides that's better than me. My loss to Shinso was rather brutal and everyone who spoke to me noted it, I'd rather not be recognized."

"Same here." Sero said understanding Ojiro's plight. "Do you have any idea what a bunch of elementary brats yelled at me?"

"Nice try?" Tsu said from her desk. "It was what the crowd said after Todoroki froze you so makes sense."

"Gah yes that's all I got." Sero said. "Damn it why couldn't he have frozen the others as well."

"Because I have glyphs that can bloc ice though it was tough, Midoriya had a way to break it apart, and Asta can nullify Quirks so we all had a defense for it." Weiss said. "I do understand Ashido's point as I too got some looks and questions on my way here but I ignored them. Then again as a Schnee I'm used to it to some extent thanks to my father."

"No one approached or spoke to me." Ruby said. "Though I was commuting with Yang on her bike so I didn't see anyone given how fast she was going."

"That would explain it." Weiss said. "I'm sure you would have been noticed otherwise given how well you did Ruby. It's a good thing you come in with your sister actually."

"Probably, little nerve wracking to think that though." Ruby said. "I know Yang gets it when she's out but she loves the attention, I'm not as outgoing as she is."

"Few are." Weiss noted.

"People are getting noticed?" Asta asked. "That's news to me."

"We live on campus Asta." Nero pointed out. "And we don't have the money or desire to leave the housing for anything other than training, school, work, and in my case watching Noelle have a meltdown."

"Hey!" Noelle exclaimed.

"It was a meltdown." Weiss confirmed. "Great coffee though."

"You did kinda need it, it's helped in the long run." Nero said. "And I didn't mind being there, the tea was more than worth it."

"What tea?" Momo asked. "I know the Silva's a little so I presume they'd have some of the top brands."

"You're not wrong, it was Gold Tips Imperial." Nero said. "So the best."

"My, you have exquisite tastes Swallowtail." Momo said surprised. "I didn't expect that. I certainly agree, it is the finest tea out there and my personal favorite as well."

"Call me Nero please." Nero corrected, most were now but some of the more formal or nervous in the class were still adapting to using a nickname for a person and not her family name. "And yes, my, er, guardian is a tea connoisseur so he introduced me to the stuff though I've always enjoyed a good tea."

"Then you must come by my place sometime we can have a tea party." Momo said excitedly. "Weiss, Noelle?"

"Make it something for all the girls." Weiss said thinking of one girl in particular but she didn't want to draw attention to that. "It would be a fun bonding experience for us and it is what normal teen girls are supposed to do apparently."

"Will do." Momo said excitedly just as ignorant to what normal teen girls did as Weiss and Noelle were.

"Anyway, back to the whole being noticed thing." Nero said moving on as she got a feeling a little pervert was listening in and she didn't want him to start planning something elaborate to sneak a peek. "Asta, we wouldn't realize it because we didn't leave campus. That's a good thing seeing as you were the runner up and have an interesting Quirk, you'd be mobbed if we left and if Noelle was there, well water might come out."

"For crowd control." Noelle said reflexively and not for any other underlying reasons that were still close to the surface after that morning's walk to school with Weiss. "But yes we'd be mobbed unfortunately. I did get some praise when I was coming to school so it was nice I guess."

"All it took was one Sports Festival and now we're celebrities." Kaminari said. "Though some of us are more well known than others."

"This school really is amazing; I'm bound to win the ladies over soon." Mineta added before glancing to Asta. "But yeah some of us are certainly getting the attention of the ladies right but in the end they'll all come and love me."

That was all it took for what Noelle was keeping buried under the surface to come bubbling up. It wasn't just because it came from Mineta but because it was true. Asta might be blind to the outside world due to living on campus and not using social media it seemed but she wasn't.

Noelle had had to deal with being recognized and what not while making her way to campus with Weiss that morning, that wasn't bad as they were being recognized for their accomplishments and not their family names, but they were just additions to the real questions. That was because a lot of the people recognizing them were asking about the top performing students including a few girls that wanted details on whether the four boys on the podium were single or not.

That had bothered Noelle a lot more than she'd expected and in ways she didn't understand so she chose to ignore them. What she couldn't ignore was that Asta's star was rising and with that attention was also coming which she didn't like, especially the female attention but she didn't know why on that front.

Thankfully before she could dwell on it anymore the door opened and instantly the whole class was in their seats and at attention. They were used to this by now and waited patiently in them as their homeroom teacher walked in though there was one noticeable thing about him that was different.

"Morning." An unbandaged Mr. Aizawa said as the door opened.

"Good morning Mr. Aizawa." Most of the class said in unison as their teacher made his way to the lectern.

"Mr. Aizawa, you're not bandaged up anymore." Tsu said as their teacher reached the lectern speaking what they were all thinking. "That's good to see."

"The old lady was a little too enthusiastic about her healing the other day though with my arms already fixed by Swallowtail she could be." Mr. Aizawa said simply as he rubbed his face a new scar under his right eye clear for them to see. "But that's not relevant to you because today's a big class on Hero Informatics."

That did get a reaction from most of the class as they had no idea what that meant. Some thought it was going to be a pop quiz, some were worried it would be about hero laws, Asta was totally lost with what the word meant at all, and some were calm waiting for more information that was about to come and likely not be as bad as they were expecting.

"Most of you need codenames." Aizawa said in his usual tone confirming the latter one. "It's time those of you not fully committed to the Quirk Knight branch, or at least not going to intern with a Quirk Knight Squad at the very least, pick your hero identity."

"This is going to be awesome!" The class yelled which got Aizawa to briefly use his Quirk to silence them.

"You need to take this seriously; it's related to the pro hero interest you have received that I mentioned after the Sports Festival or as it's known the pro hero draft." Aizawa said as the class shut up. "Normally students don't have to worry about the pro hero draft until their second or third year but your class is different. In fact, by extending offers to first years like yourselves pros are essentially investing in their perception of your potential. Do not forget that any offers can be rescinded no matter the branch and you may even have to look to one of the other branches if interest dies down before graduation. Thankfully all three branches have Agencies that are less picky than most but that's not an excuse to slack off."

"So what you're saying is that we'll still have to prove ourselves even after being recruited." Hagakure said. "This is just the first step on our pro hero journeys and we can't let it make us complacent."

"Correct." Aizawa said. "Now, before I show the totals I want to make this clear. At this stage in your hero journey you aren't considered specialized to one of the three branches and as such you may receive an offer from two or even all three branches, though in this class only Asta has the latter while three from the other class received at least one offer from each branch. Several of you have received offers from two branches and oddly the Quirk Knight Captains have been especially active this year and in some unexpected ways so you must have really impressed them. You should keep that under advisement especially with a program that may be offered to you later in the year should you get the necessary qualification and still be undecided. Right now for the offers."

At that Aizawa pressed a button and the offers numbers appeared on the board going from most to fewest with sideways bars appearing to show the spread. The first on the list was surprisingly Todoroki with 4,123 offers followed by Bakugo at 3,557 offers and then Asta with 3,381 offers to round out the top three.

After that it was a significant dip to 649 for Weiss, which given that she was knocked out in the last 16 was really shocking, and then fell again to 361 for Tokoyami, 333 for Ruby, 302 for Ida, which all made sense as they were quarterfinalists so showed off a lot. Whas was a surprising was that there were 273 offers for Kaminari despite his humiliating loss to Hatsume though given his Quirk's usefulness for crowd control it did kinda make sense. After that it was 216 for Noelle, 109 for Yaoyorozu, 69 for Kirishima, 21 for Uraraka, 14 for Sero, 9 for Nero, 2 for Tsu, and then 1 each for Midoriya, Shoji, and Ojiro.

"It's a little top heavy this year, and for the record the other medalist in the Sports Festival, Yuno, got 4055 offers including the first full sweep of the 9 Quirk Knight agencies and two Huntsmen Agency offers, compared to past years where it's been more spread out." Aizawa said pointing to the board. "But there's a large gap this time likely due to how the final four distinguished themselves and a few other factors."

"That's no fair." Kaminari said which came off bad seeing as he had a large number of offers. "We all did our best."

"What about moi? I am ze real star of ze class." Aoyama said annoyed at his lack of offers as Mina fumed.

"Todoroki got the most? Ahead of both Bakugo and Asta despite not making the final." Jiro noted. "And he was easily beaten by Asta at that. Plus Schnee and Silva have more than their rounds would indicate, to say nothing of Kaminari's offers."

"That's totally different to how the Sports Festival played out." Kirishima said. "I would have expected Bakugo to top it for winning and then Asta in second but the semifinalists got more than the finalists this time around."

"Damn it, the pros are weak for not wanting me!" Bakugo roared. "I can't believe I'm still not number 1 after that and I beat that Pretty Boy this time as well."

"In any other year that would almost certainly be the case." Weiss pointed out ignoring Bakugo's outburst. "Here though, we have Endeavor's son in the class and it was made known during the Sports Festival. That's going to account for at least 1000 offers alone. It's why both me and Noelle are also higher than we should be, it's not because we truly earned them. I bet almost all of them are from lower level, normal track, hero agencies trying to pry us away from our paths and capitalize on our family names."

"Not happening." Noelle said. "Even if I wanted to, my family is expecting me to become a Quirk Knight after I insisted on being one no matter what so I can only chose from those offers."

"Same I'm just amazed that I got so many offers!" Asta said stars in his eyes as Nero was just surprised she got any but her plan was already set so long as it worked out though she was ready to argue for it just in case. "And at least one is a Quirk Knight agency, so cool!"

"Even if they're because of your father, you must be proud." Momo said looking to Todoroki. "I'm just happy I got some at all."

"I'd rather take an offer I earned than one that wants the connection." Todoroki said as he thought on it. "Or one that would at least make be a better hero. I'll look at them closely."

"We're wanted!" Ochaco said happily grabbing Ida's shoulders and shaking him though Ida was just in thought and knew that no matter the offer, he'd only accept ones that were located in Hosu.

"How'd you get one and I didn't Midoriya." Mineta said shaking him just like how Ochaco was shaking Ida. "I thought they'd be grossed out by the crazy way you were fighting but someone wants you."

"Yeah I wonder who it is." Izuku admitted glad that he had an offer.

"While not all of you have offers." Aizawa said getting their attention once again so that he could answer a question that some of them no doubt had. "You'll all be interning with pros this semester during the upcoming week long internship program. Got it? Even those who either didn't get offers."

"So we're all interning?" Izuku asked though he was still confused by his offer.

"Yes, you've may have already experienced combat with real villains during the USJ attack but it will be helpful to see pros in action and learning from the advice that they can give you." Aizawa said. "There is no better training than being up close and personal in the field learning first hand. This is especially true with the Huntsmen and Quirk Knight branches as their specialization is harder to teach beyond Grimm Studies."

"So that's why we need hero names." Sato said excitedly. "Finally, we're one step closer to being pros."

"Things are going to get a lot more fun." Ochaco added excited both for her hero name and her internship offers as she already had an idea what kind of internship she wanted to take she just hoped that one of her offers worked for that. "I can't wait."

"These hero names may be temporary but as there is a good chance they won't you should take them seriously or…" Aizawa began before the door was pulled open and he was interrupted.

"…you'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight said proudly as she stood there getting the excited attention of the more perverted boys while Weiss flinched slightly as she'd just spent a good bit of time with Winter so hearing someone who sounded like a really adult and seductive version of her rigid and proper sister was a jolt, again. "Eraser is right, what you pick today could be your codename for life unless you're a Quirk Knight so you'd better be careful or you'll be stuck with something utterly indecent and you don't want that, unless you do then go for it I say."

As she walked Midnight had her arms above her head and was sashaying her hips and chest accenting those specific features. It was totally inappropriate for a teacher to do but the class either loved it or didn't care enough to comment at this point given her antics in the Sports Festival.

"Yeah she's got a point there and as such Midnight is going to have final approval over your names." Aizawa said in a bored tone. "Other than the three who have declared they want to be Quirk Knights, you three will use your first names even if you decide to experiment with a different branch though knowing you three you won't."

"Why is that?" Asta asked. "I don't mind it, I'm going to be a Quirk Knight regardless, I'm just curious."

"I'm still going by Nero." Nero pointed out. "But if you need to record it as Secré then fine but I'm making it clear to the squad I intern under that they should call me Nero."

"This isn't my forte so Midnight can explain." Aizawa said as he pulled out his sleeping bag while trying not to think about how he ended up with his codename though seeing as he'd never changed it he didn't really mind it and it showed how close he was with Mic that he kept his friend's suggestion for all these years. "The name you choose is important even if it is temporary. It will help reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you want to be when you turn pro. It is what you want to represent. To use the example you all know, All Might, think what that name means and you can see why he chose it."

"It is in that vein that Quirk Knights don't chose names." Midnight said as hand held white boards and markets were handed out for the whole class giving them a moment Mr. Aizawa's words while he took a nap. "They are not mainstream heroes who have images the way normal heroes or even Huntsmen have. There are no Quirk Knights doing side jobs unless there is a public benefit to it like the few with Spatial Quirks and the little merchandizing for them beyond the standard stuff though they do get the money from that."

"Why is that?" Asta asked.

"Because they're dedicated to a more selfless pursuit away from the spotlight in the rural areas while also serving as a front line for national defense." Midnight explained. "They only receive a government wage and there is no fame or glory in that path, which is why few go into it. For the most part the public doesn't even know who individual Quirk Knights are beyond the Wizard King, which itself is an earned title for the leader of the branch, the Squad Captains, and a few of the more notable ones who either have strong Quirks, notable family names, or both."

"So they don't have codenames?" Asta asked as most of the class began to write.

"That they choose, no." Midnight said shaking her head. "Don't forget that when the Hero Code was established Quirk Knights and Huntsmen already existed with Quirk Knights doing most of what Heroes do now and Huntsmen and Huntresses focused on Grimm. With the Hero Code being based on honor and integrity the Quirk Knights were supposed to be incorporated but at the time only the upper class were Quirk Knights and they had their own code so while they accepted the overarching code they opted to keep their branch and that included no hero names. Silva, you're from one of the three founding families, care to explain more."

"Sure, I did grow up with it." Noelle said. "To those of us from the founding families, along with the other early upper class families that made up the initial Squads, it's about the service to the nation and the pride in doing it rather than fame or riches. In a sense it is our way of giving back as we already have money, and ways to make more as not all of us go into the Quirk Knights or when we retire we go into family businesses though there are some Quirk Knights who are active businessmen and women as well."

"All accurate and well said." Midnight said with a nod. "It's also why Quirk Knight agencies aren't in big cities though their Headquarters where the Wizard King and his staff are based is located in Hosu so as to be connected to the nation as a whole but not in the heart of Tokyo."

"When you say they don't choose." Nero said picking up on something that had been that she wanted to ask about, she didn't really care for the reasons as they were different to her own ones for joining a Quirk Knight Squad. "What does that mean? Everyone knows the Wizard King as the Wizard King but as you said that's a title not a codename."

"They don't choose because they earn titles or nicknames from the public if they become well known, it's a way to show that a Quirk Knight is getting results and often an indicator that he or she has Captain potential at the very least." Midnight explained. "Before he became the Wizard King, Julius Novachrono was the Captain of the Grey Deer Squad and had earned the nickname Time Thief due to his Quirk. All 9 Captains currently have nicknames or titles though only Jack the Ripper, the Captain of the Green Praying Mantises uses it regularly."

"They're not the only ones though." Nero said. "Are they?"

"No they're not." Midnight confirmed. "In addition a few of the strong, notable, or infamous non Captains have them as well such as Mereoleona Vermillion in the Crimson Lion Kings who's known as the Uncrowned Untamed Lioness and Kaiser Granvorka in the Purple Orcas who's known as the Empire's Ultimate Shield. One of our third years, Luck Voltia, already has a moniker as he's known Luck the Cheery Berserker but those aren't common and he got it more for his Sports Festival performances than anything else."

"They do?" Asta asked stars in his eyes. "What are they? The Captains' ones I mean."

"Silva, your brother is a Captain, I presume you know his name." Midnight said looking to Noelle. "He is one of the leading contenders to succeed Julius after all."

"My brother doesn't care for it but he does have a title that the public has given him." Noelle said her tone subdued. "He's called the Mercury Magician because of his Mercury Quirk and how well he can use it."

"Precisely, that's a powerful Quirk and Nozel Silva's command over it makes him a team unto himself due to its versatility hence the name." Midnight said. "The 7 other Captains are known as Prickly Princess, Leo Rex, Painter of Creation, The Tycoon, Sleeping Witch, Life Tree, and Destruction God. None of them use the names but they are officially listed as their earned titles though some have other nicknames that are associate with them. That's how you get a name in the Quirk Knights, you get results and attention."

"So cool!" Asta said stars still in his eyes. "I've got to earn me a name."

"I'm actually surprised that Huntsmen and Huntresses have names." Noelle said. "I didn't realize that as they existed before heroes."

"It's a more recent development." Midnight admitted. "In recent years there have been non Grimm related issues that the Huntsmen branch has ended up dealing with, primarily the White Fang heteromorph extremist group, and that combined with the whole weaponry and several strong acts by teams lead to a surge in popularity in the branch."

"But there are only three in the year who'd already committed to it?" Asta asked. "And they only have four Agencies, right?"

Right, it's still the smallest branch so the popularity has been for those already in it or who have just joined." Midnight said. "The technical aspects of the branch still make it the smallest out there given how hard it is to take down a Grimm using only a Quirk, though there are some martial Quirks that work and with the revelation that Grimm are a Quirk creation that may change things in time, but fan wise there has been a growing popularity for them. To protect themselves, and capitalize on it, new Huntsmen and Huntresses started taking on hero names about a decade or so ago. Before then only the four maidens had names and those were earned but now they use names. It actually helps."

Ruby and Weiss heard this and both agreed with it. They had names they wanted to use and would submit them for consideration. For Weiss though she was more focused on rehabilitating the Schnee name after what her father had done when he took it after marrying into the family so becoming a notable Huntress with a name many knew would do that and harken back to her grandfather's day when he made the Schnee name what it is. For Ruby she just wanted a cool name and already had it picked out and written down. It was really clever she thought.

"Now that that is over and you've had the time to think about it, who amongst you is ready to share?" Midnight asked when it was clear that there were no more questions and which really got some of the class nervous at that especially who would go first. "No need…"

"I do!" Ruby said excitedly as she stood up and walked to the lectern though her impatience almost made her use her Quirk to get there. "I've had this name for a few years ever since my sister told me I'd need one so here it is…"

At that Ruby reached the lectern and grinned to the class as some muttered though Aoyama looked annoyed as he had been about to go first and grab the spotlight before anyone else as he liked but when it came to instant speed no one beat Ruby. She wasn't nervous at all as continued to grin before flipping over her whiteboard and revealing her name for all to see, a name she'd written in English as it showed her intentions best in that language.

"Grimm Reaper!" Ruby said happily.

"Er that's a little morbid." Kirishima said. "And very different to Rose's personality."

"Did not expect it from someone as cute and adorable as her." Kaminari added getting a glare from Weiss though it was more because Kaminari was one step below Mineta and not for speaking the truth. "I thought she'd go for something peppy."

"Interesting." Midnight said her tone surprised but not disproving as she looked at it. "Care to explain it? If it's what I think it is then it's a fitting name for you."

"Well, my reasoning is that in mythology the Grim Reaper is a figure who carries a scythe and uses that to bring death, which itself is associated with black and that's a color I use in my outfit." Ruby explained. "While I won't bring death to people, I am going to be a Huntress so I will be destroying Grimm and my weapon is my primary tool in that regard. Therefore I'm reaping them and seeing as I use a scythe as my weapon it made the most sense to play into it. That's why I wrote it in English because in English Grimm is spelt with two ms instead of one so it's a play on words as well as a reference to my weapon."

"Yup it is as I thought." Midnight said with a smile. "It works perfectly for you but only because of those factors otherwise I'd have rejected it. Well that and you like to wear black and red. A cute, adorable girl with a massive scythe and a scary name, marketed right that could be a killer Huntress persona."

"Er I just want to do my job and the name works." Ruby said blinking. "But thanks."

"Still it's approved!" Midnight said to the shock of some in the class and Ruby took the moment to go back to her seat. "And as Rose has gone why not Schnee next, you are going to be a Huntress too after all so let's see if your name can be approved as well."

"Well I do have a name but it's not as clever as Ruby's." Weiss said nervous at being called out but her proper training meant that she couldn't say no and got up and walked to the lectern and stood there with the back of her board facing the class. "So I don't know if it will work."

"Come one Weiss, share it." Ruby said with a smile that caused Weiss to flush and gave her confidence to turn it over.

"I, er, I think the name Ice Queen works for me." Weiss said her nerves still there as she showed it off. "You know, between how my family is basically industry and Huntsmen royalty, the color of my hair and preference for white, and how I was a cold brat when I first got here I think it works. It reminds me of what I was and what I shouldn't return to."

"I love it!" Midnight exclaimed happily and Weiss had to resist flinching at that as she imagined that kind of reaction out of Winter and couldn't, she really needed to get over the similarities or else it would drive her mad. "You've got this natural tsundere personality to you that really plays into that kind of name and your sister is likely to become the next Winter Maiden so it works great as it also adds to the familial theme. All that's not including the snowflake pattering in your glyphs. I approve."

"Er thanks." Weiss said as she left the lectern and returned to her seat.

"Great name." Ruby said quietly to Weiss as she sat down and Weiss flushed at it. "Though you're not cold anymore, you're warm and fun now which suits you better."

"Thanks Ruby." Weiss said with a smile. "Yours is really clever by the way, it's perfect for you."

"The Queen and the Reaper, we'll make a great team." Ruby said happily. "We just need a team name for us but in time."

"Alright, who's next?" Midnight said and at that Aoyama got up and headed to the lectern before anyone else could steal his spotlight. "Aoyama what name have you chosen."

"Hold your breath for I shall be known as the Shining Hero." Aoyama said as he thrust his board above his head and smiled revealing that he'd also added a hero moniker to the codename which wasn't required but was an option it seemed. "I Cannot Stop Twinkling! You cannot deny my sparkles so zis is perfect pour moi."

The result was as expected, no one liked it. Several of the class were shocked and horrified by it, others were confused as to what it meant or why it was so long for a hero name, and a few didn't even understand it at all. It was peak Aoyama but that was about it, the name itself sucked.

"That's too long, a hero name should be no more than 3 words, but with your Quirk and personality there is a good base for a name like this especially if you're trying to stand out and sell yourself as someone who sparkles against villains." Midnight said as she took the board and corrected it to something more acceptable as a hero name. "All you have to do is take out the 'I' and shorten cannot to can't as a contraction counts as one word, and it works. Well this works for you at least, I wouldn't approve something this long and strange for anyone else in this class."

"Can't Stop Twinkling, it is a très fantastique name mademoiselle." Aoyama said holding it up again for the class to see. "I will twinkle for all to see."

"Wait, she actually liked the base of it enough to correct it?" A few in the class asked.

"Also you're not actually French, are you Aoyama?" Sato asked. "That's gotta be an act."

"Non, I am half French." Aoyama said as he took his seat.

"He does speak the language fluently and he used the correct term for an unmarried woman." Weiss said. "So he can back it up at least."

"Enough debate it's my turn." Mina said as she danced up to the lectern before Midnight could ask for who was next. "I will be known as…Alien Queen."

"Wait like that monster from that classic pre-Advent film series that actually survived the Quirk Wars?" Midnight asked horror in her voice and on her face as she thought of that creature. "The one with the acidic blood. I don't think so."

"Wait I don't get that." Asta said confused. "Isn't Ashido's Quirk called Acid because that's what she creates? Surely that's a good reference to have. Rose, Schnee, and Aoyama's all fit their personalities, this fits Ashido's Quirk."

"That it might but the reference it too obscure and directly refers to a villain from a franchise." Midnight said defending her decision. "That's not the name of a hero."

"Oh, that makes more sense." Asta said understanding.

"Dang it, back to the drawing board then." Mina said with a sigh her head down as she went to her seat. "Thanks for trying to defend me Asta but I do see Miss Midnight's point. I wasn't thinking about that monster and a hero shouldn't be associated with a villain, if that connection is made it could be a problem for me and I want my image to be positive."

There was still a bit of confusion at it as while Asta had raised his voice about it several others were just as surprised as he was at the rejection of the name. That only added to the pressure after two accepted and one altered but keeping the core intent before accepted. Plus, the ones that had been said, even Alien Queen, were weird but clever which put people on edge.

That moment was broken by Tsu who went next while the rest were worrying and revealed that like Ruby she'd had her name in mind for a while only even longer which also showed how long she'd had the dream to be a hero. The name was Froppy with the hero moniker being the Rainy Season Hero which really fit her given the nature of her Quirk and immediately it was approved by Midnight who found it delightful and approachable. It also really fit with Tsu's personality so it was likely one that would go down well with the public.

As a result the whole class cheered and chanted 'Froppy' a few times, well most did at least, and the tension was broken with a normal and good name. That spurned the rest into action with Kirishima going next with his moniker and name being The Sturdy Hero: Red Riot. It was an interesting choice especially because it was the first name that paid homage to a former hero, the Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot which Midnight picked up on and asked about. Turned out he was the hero who Kirishima idolized and looked up too which only added to the pressure of taking a name like that but he accepted that pressure with a grin.

After Kirishima there was a slight lull, other than Jiro suggesting a name that was comical for Kaminari but which he initially mistook as sincere though some like Noelle and Weiss were more impressed that Kaminari knew who Ernest Hemmingway even was than by how clever Jiro's dig was. It was still a joke name though so he rejected it and Jiro went up next anyway to announce her name as The Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack. It was approved but not the most original as it was the name of her Quirk. Still, it was allowed and began a run of accepted names.

Next up was Shoji with a portmanteau name playing on tentacle and tako, the Japanese for octopus, to be the Tentacle Hero: Tentacole which worked well with his Dupli-Arms Quirk. After him it was Sero with the Taping Hero: Cellophane for a direct reference to his Quirk with a slightly out of there name to not be boring and then Ojiro with the Martial Arts Hero: Tailman. The latter was a bit ordinary but Ojiro was the ordinary guy and besides his tail was both his Quirk and the core of his unique martial art based fighting style so worked well for him and him alone.

Similarly the Sweets Hero: Sugarman worked for Sato as the next one up to be approved as it was the essence of what his Quirk was and while the class didn't know it yet a skilled baker of sweets. Then it was Ashido's turn again and this time she was determined to get it approved.

"Pinky!" Ashido yelled for her name thrusting her fist into the air.

"That's it, play to your looks girl that's the perfect name!" Midnight said approvingly thus confirming Ashido's second choice was approved. "So marketable with you!"

From there it was a good line of approved names with Kaminari going for Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt, which got a slightly inappropriate approval form Midnight regarding how it made her all tingly that was ignored. Then it was Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl for Hagakure which played to her Quirk even if it wasn't the most original of names and the Everything Hero: Creati for Yaoyorozu which fit her Creation Quirk perfectly.

Things were getting good at that point and the class were enjoying the process, in large part due to how into it Midnight was getting, until it was brought back to earth with Todoroki simply going for Shoto as his hero name. That was a surprise but Todoroki didn't explain or even acknowledge why he chose it so they moved on and as the next up was Tokoyami who went with Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi it was quickly forgotten as that was a more exotic name. After all, Tokoyami had just went with the name of the God of the Night which fit his personality well.

After that was another surprise as Mineta's name, the Fresh Picked Hero: Grape Juice, was somehow not inappropriate, creepy, or perverted when he presented it though he was shorter than the lectern so all they could see was the board. It actually worked with the color of his Quirk, it's nature and his costume though given his personality they were all wary just to be safe.

Koda was next and he didn't speak, in fact several in the class hadn't actually heard him talk at all, but nervously held up his board with the moniker the Petting Hero and the name Anima on it. That was approved and worked with his Anivoice Quirk. Things were looking good and then Bakugo went and finally something that couldn't be accepted was presented.

"King Explosion Murder." Bakugo announced loudly with a wide grin on his face which didn't shock anyone but did get their attention.

"Yeah no that one's too violent and after your little display on the podium it may be best for you to not further that image lest people think you're a villain not a hero." Midnight said. "The only thing that works there is explosion because that is your Quirk. Maybe try something with that, or a subtler reference to explosions."

"What do you mean that's too violent, that's who I am!" Bakugo roared. "I want villains to know how much pain they're in for when they hear I'm around. I did just as you said regarding me name! Accept it!"

"I got it Bakugo, Explosion Boy." Kirishima said helpfully.

"Shut it weird hair I'll…" Bakugo began.

"Go back and choose a new name." Midnight said cooling and Bakugo yelled some more and complained all the way back to his seat. "Think of a good one please."

As he did Ochaco got up as she finally had her name and presented it to the class; Uravity. It was another portmanteau only in her case her family name and what she affected with her Quirk but it fit and like almost all before her it was accepted so she breathed a sigh of relief at that before returning to her seat.

So far things were going a lot faster than Midnight had expected as only Bakugo, Ida, and Midoriya still had names to pick out though after the Sports Festival she expected that one day Asta would have a title as a Quirk Knight so he'd get a name too but only when the time was right. Right now Bakugo needed a new one, and Ida and Midoriya were deep in thought about their own names.

For Ida the reason he was taking so long was very personal. He'd left the Sports Festival early because his brother, the pro hero Ingenium, was in the hospital after being attacked and badly wounded by the Hero Killer: Stain while Tensei was in Hosu City searching for said Hero Killer. He'd found Stain but the Hero Killer had lived up to his reputation and bested Tensei bur rather than kill the pro, Stain had left Tensei Ida alive but had crippled him from the waist down in such a way that he'd never walk again.

That injury ensured that Ingenium was done for as a hero and as such Tensei had asked Tenya to take the name from him but as Ida sat in the classroom he knew that he wasn't ready for the name of the hero he'd looked up too for years so followed Todoroki's plan and simply used his first name and confirmed it. He had to earn the Ingenium name and he'd do so by avenging his brother and taking down Stain during his internship.

That just left Midoriya as the last to present an initial name to the class while Bakugo still needed one but his next one would be rejected as well so he would be left without a name for now. Izuku had taken a long time to decide upon a name as what Kirishima had said about honoring his idol had got to him and made him think even harder on the kind of hero he wanted to be, the name, and the ones he'd made up as a kid growing up with the dream to be a hero despite being born Quirkless.

All factors considered, Izuku knew that he wasn't ready for a name that played on All Might's, especially after inheriting his idol's power, so he needed a different name and thankfully there was just the name for him. It was time to truly reclaim it and he had one person to thank for that as he walked up to the lectern and then showed the class his name.

The moment he did there was a gasp from them and for good reason. By this point all knew what that name meant though there was confusion regarding it. Still, it had to be questioned.

"Really Midoriya?" Mineta asked. "That's your choice?"

"You sure?" Kaminari asked.

"Yeah that could be your name forever." Kirishima added.

"It's going to be associated with you even more." Ruby said. "Do you really want that?"

"Yeah, we all know that it's not one meant to be nice." Weiss said. "At least when we first heard it."

"I'll admit, I used to hate it, really hate it, because of the history behind it but recently, since I started at U.A., something's changed." Izuku said as he smiled. "Someone who has become very dear to me taught me that it can have a different meaning to the one it's always had, to why it was first used, and that's had a huge impact on how I felt both about it and my journey to be a hero. Because of that I really like it now so it has to be my codename. Deku. It's the name of a hero, of the hero that I am going to be."

That was all it took to persuade most of the class that it was the right choice though Bakugo certainly took notice of what Delu was doing and Ochaco was ecstatic because she knew that she was the one who'd caused that change and it warmed her heart in a way she'd never felt before as she smiled at Deku knowing he'd live up to the name. Izuku just smiled back at the class before he took his seat leaving just Bakugo to go and unaware that as he was choosing his name he'd gotten an internship offer from a pro, possibly the only pro who could properly teach him at his current level.

Overall it had been a good and straightforward session to choose names with only Bakugo not choosing one, his second attempt was Lord Explosion Murder which was rejected as well as it was basically the same as his first one, so they were all sorted. Asta, Nero and Noelle were all confirmed Quirk Knight track students and all had at least one offer so they didn't need to chose names which meant that it was time to discuss internships.

"Alright now that almost everyone has a hero name to use during their internships we can actually talk about them." Aizawa said as he woke up with the rejection of Bakugo's second name and took the lectern from Midnight with a pile of papers in his hand and still in his sleeping bag from the waist down. "They will last for one week. For those of you who have offers you will choose from them while those who don't will chose from a list of about 40 agencies from across the country who have agreed to take interns from your class. All of you remember that each agency has a different specialty that its heroes focus on so that should factor into your decisions as well, especially if there is a specific sector or location you want to work in."

"So for example if you were like Thirteen who is a rescue specialist you'd choose an internship that specializes in that area and not one that fights villains while also deciding between various kinds of rescue such as urban, rural, or nautical rescue." Midnight said. "And if rural rescue is what you want I would recommend considering the Quirk Knights as they do a lot of rural work though there are normal agencies solely dedicated to that seeing as Quirk Knight duties are more expansive than just rescue."

"Therefore you should think carefully before you make your decision." Aizawa said. "Any questions?"

"Mr. Aizawa." Tsu said raising her hand. "You said that we choose from our offers if we have them but I have two offers there and I'd like to do my internship somewhere near or on water. I don't know my offers yet, though I am flattered by them, but if neither option has that can I still use the list of agencies that have agreed to take on interns?"

"Thank you Asui, that was the one thing I was going to add." Aizawa said glad that one of the ones with only a few offers had brought it up. "You, along with Midoriya, Shoji, and Ojiro currently only have offers from Quirk Knight Squads and as none of you have officially made it known that you desire to become Quirk Knights you may also choose from the list of agencies that those without offers can choose from if you so desire or any offers that are still to come in as some pros are a little late at that. In your case it would likely be for the best to do that as neither Squad that has made you an offer work near bodies of water."

"Thank you sir." Tsu said as the class began to think on what they wanted and Midnight began to pass out papers.

"That's it, think on it and turn in your choices before the weekend." Aizawa said as the bell rang to end the class and they had some free time to discuss things as he and Midnight walked out of the classroom. "That's two days so I'd recommend starting now. Don't forget that at least one in this class is related to a Quirk Knight Captain and from one of the founding families in that branch and both Huntress branch students are from Huntress families so they can also answer questions regarding those branches if you have them. Dismissed."

With that Aizawa closed the door and they could look over their offers or options if they didn't have offers. Given what several of them had it was going to lead to a big discussion as there was a few moments of silence to read over before it was broken by Ochaco getting up and walking over to Noelle with her offers in her hand. She'd already made her decision, one of her offers was from an agency that specialized in what she wanted to focus on in her internship, but there was one offer that confused her so she wanted clarity on it.

"Silva, you'd know this." Ochaco said as she reached the silver haired girl. "The Silver Eagles, why would they make me an offer?"

"Come again?" Noelle asked her eyes wide; her choice was painfully obvious and she already filled it out but wouldn't mention it until she learned what offers Asta, and Nero, had so she'd been waiting for them until the surprise Uraraka dropped on her snapped her out of her thoughts. "You got an offer from them? Of all the Squads they were the ones who wanted you?"

"Yeah see." Ochaco said as she showed her paper to her friend, which was broken down into a list of 20 normal hero agencies and 1 Quirk Knight Squad just like Noelle's was only she had a lot more normal offers that Uraraka had though they were all form agencies she'd never heard of which meant that they were almost certainly after the Silva name and not her. "I figured that you'd know why seeing as it is your brother's squad, right?"

"Yeah it is which is why I'm utterly shocked because I don't know why they've made you an offer." Noelle said looking up at the brunette her eyes still wide as she tried and failed to process her brother's logic especially because he made no indication that he was making more than one offer to their year. "No offense but you don't have the background for them. I know he's going to offer Yuno and not Asta but that's an exception to the class background required for an offer."

"That's also why I figured it was odd." Ochaco admitted. "Aren't they extremely classist, present company excluded, and I'm about as low class as they come."

"They are." Noelle said slightly pleased that Uraraka didn't see her as classist, she still held superior views on class but between that being a coping mechanism due to how messed up her childhood was and Asta's influence those views were steadily going away. "Why on earth would Nozel make you an offer. He stopped by after the Sports Festival, still don't know why he did that, and didn't mention this only that he would make Yuno an offer."

"If I had to guess he saw something in her that we don't understand." Nero said as she put down her own list, she'd seen the three Quirk Knight options she had and was now waiting on Asta to see where he'd been offered an internship and which he'd take. "Likely it's a personal reminder that overwhelmed his views and wasn't one he could tell you. Are you going to take it Uraraka?"

"No, I'm not." Ochaco said and Noelle had to suppress a grin, Nozel would not take that rejection well but he totally deserved it. "I respect what the Quirk Knights do for the nation and the noble nature of how they do it but I need to make money for my family and the Quirk Knights aren't known for that. That and I already decided that my internship would be focused on improving a weakness that I noticed while fighting Bakugo and which also give me a different perspective on the hero world so I'm going to go for the one run by the Battle Hero: Gunhead. I want to broaden my options to be more than rescue like I initially thought about."

"Smart." Nero said. "Makes you more versatile and will help in the long run if for no other reason then to show you what you want and don't want out of being a hero."

"Precisely." Uraraka said.

"Well you're not the only one who's surprised, Uraraka, as I also got an offer from a Quirk Knight Squad as well." Kirishima said before Ochaco could elaborate more on her decision. "They're cool and all and what they do is seriously manly especially because they don't do it for fame or accolades but I'm looking for a standard internship that fights crime in the big city at the moment."

"Yeah that's not what they do." Noelle said. "Sure there are Quirk Knights in Hosu but they're the ones tied to the Wizard King and not really the same as the ones in the 9 Squads."

"Which isn't what I want." Kirishima said. "I do wonder how I managed to impress one of the Captains."

"Likely the Captain saw something in you that he or she liked or you're similar to a current member that he or she felt could help mentor you." Momo said. "Just like what Swallow…er Nero said about Uraraka. I am pretty sure that's why I have an offer from a Quirk Knight Squad and while I am flattered that a prestigious Squad would want a failure like me I think I'll wait until we are allowed to partake in work studies to see what that branch is like. I feel like for my internship I should go for a normal agency as that is what I want out of being a hero so I'll see what that's all about but if it doesn't go well then I will try the other branch out."

"Which Squad?" Noelle asked, she wasn't surprised that Momo had an offer, she was rich with a powerful Quirk and from a famous hero family so she fit the profile that the big names would look for if they felt that she had potential. "I take it that it's one of the more well known ones based on what you said."

"Yes, it is the Blue Rose Knights." Momo said. "Captain Charlotte Roselei's Squad though why she's called the Prickly Princess I don't know."

"That makes sense." Noelle said and the more she thought on it the more she realized that of all the Squads it was probably the one Momo would fit the best minus the sexist views they were known for. "The Blue Rose Knights will offer any strong female a spot and they don't discriminate based on class, only sex. As for her name, from what I've gathered it's a mixture of her Blue Briar Quirk and her notoriously sharp tongue and strong views. Roselei is considered the most sexist person in the Quirk Knights due to her being a hardline misandrist and her tongue and actions have caused her problems in the past. From what Mr. Aizawa said she made Yuno an offer though which is shocking and could cause issues."

"I expected as much from Yuno, only he'd overachieve and get all 9." Asta said. "He's always doing well. I'm sure he'll carefully choose the right one though."

"If he has all 9 there's no way he chooses the Blue Rose Knights though that does break the unofficial deal with the Green Praying Mantises so they can make an offer to a female now regardless of whether Yuno takes the Blue Rose Knights' offer." Noelle said. "I didn't get an offer from them, not that I was expecting it."

"I have an offer from them but I won't take it seeing as there's no way Asta has an offer as well." Nero said. "Likely I only got it because of my sex and the fact that I'm officially listed as intending to go down that path."

"You didn't get an offer from them Asta." Noelle said looking at him glad that this gave her the chance to probe him and see what offers he did get. "Right?"

"Nope, I did get 5 offers though." Asta said looking over the front of his list where the Quirk Knight offers were, he was flattered by the over 3,000 normal track offers but he was going to be a Quirk Knight regardless. "And oddly two Huntsmen Agency offers. That was really unexpected."

"Those will likely be due to your use of swords so you have skills with weapons and with the proof that Grimm are the result of a Quirk, which your swords nullify if they hit, the agencies will want you." Weiss said. "But Quirk Knights do deal with Grimm as well from time to time, their rural enough that they have to be able to handle them if they come across one and there are no Huntsmen or Huntresses nearby."

"Which ones did you get?" Ruby asked curious. "I got all four but I'm taking Beacon."

"I got that and Shade." Asta said. "Not sure why those two though."

"Actually that is unsurprising." Weiss said. "I too got all four and like Ruby will take the Beacon offer as that is where I want but those two for you aren't a shock at all."

"They're not?" Asta asked.

"Nope, the four Huntsmen Agencies are a little different to other agencies and not just because of the branch difference." Weiss explained. "For the first part, they cover a larger jurisdiction than most with each covering a vast swath of Japan."

"They do?" Asta asked.

"Yes, more so than even the Quirk Knights Squads cover." Weiss said with a nod. "Beacon is responsible for is responsible for everything east of Mt. Fuji that is on the main landmass of Japan. Atlas is responsible for all that is west and on the main landmass along with Shikoku. Haven is responsible for Hokkaido in the north and Shade for Kyushu, the Ryukyu islands and any other southern islands. In addition, three of them, Beacon, Atlas, and Haven, have deep ties to the top three Hero Schools and almost exclusively recruit form them with Beacon's ties being to U.A., Atlas to Shiketsu and Haven to Ketsubutsu though they will try to recruit from other schools as well."

"Oh ok." Asta said. "But what about Shade? Which school are they associated with?"

"Shade is the fourth and lowest ranked one and the black sheep of the agencies so to speak." Weiss said. "They aren't associated with any Hero Course and will literally offer anyone who is either declared or has Huntsman potential a spot. As such they tend to be the collecting ground for those who don't go to the top 3 schools though the bulk of those who end up at Shade are from the areas they have jurisdiction over."

"Huh interesting." Asta said. "Well I'm not taking them up but it's nice to be wanted."

"Which, which Quirk Knight offers do you have?" Noelle asked Asta the hesitance and worry clear in her voice. "You said that you had 5 offers so which are they?"

"Let's see." Asta said looking back to his sheet as several in the class already decided who they wanted like Mineta who'd gone for Mt. Lady's agency for perverted reasons or Ida who'd decided on a Hosu based one and didn't even glance at better offers or consider the Crimson Lion Kings began to leave the room to submit their forms but most of the class was still hanging around especially those who wanted to know more about the Quirk Knights. "I got offers from the Crimson Lion Kings, the Aqua Deer, the Purple Orcas, the Green Praying Mantises, and the Black Bulls."

"Hey, my offer is from the Green Praying Mantises." Kirishima said as Noelle processed Asta's offers and internally let out a sigh of relief that the Black Bulls had made him an offer though there were still a lot of concerns especially with one of the offers that Asta had. "As I've said I'm not taking it but I'm honored for it."

"If I recall their Captain's reputation that's a good thing." Noelle said pressing down her worries about Asta's choice and why they worried so much as she looked at Kirishima. "Jack the Ripper's Severing Quirk is powerful but as a result he loves trying to see if he can slice things with it. Likely he noticed your unbreakable body and wants a crack at it to if he can severe it and if not how long it takes before he can."

"Sounds like decent training but yeah I'm not into that." Kirishima said. "I'll seek him out once I want to get tougher though as I get stronger the more hits I take. For now it's big city crime for me."

"What about the others I have?" Asta asked. "Any clue what they're like? I don't really know much about the Squads."

"I'd like to know too." Tsu said. "I'm going to try and get placed with Selkie as he's a sea based hero on the list of 40 agencies so there's a lot I can learn from him but I got offers from the Crimson Lion Kings and Black Bulls as well."

"Same for me and the Black Bulls." Shoji said using a mouth on his Dupli-Arms to speak. "I grew up in the sticks though so I know a fair bit about the Quirk Knights but I'd rather not go back for personal reasons. Might check them out for a work study if I hear good things but not an internship."

"Likewise." Ojiro said. "Uraraka's right with martial arts training, I want an internship that can teach to improve what my main strength as a hero is and I don't think the Black Bulls are a good fit."

"They're the lowest of the low Quirk Knight Squads." Tokoyami said surprising them. "I got a Quirk Knight offer too but not from them, and I have a hero offer I can't turn down regardless as it's too good to pass up, but I know of the Black Bulls."

"You do?" Noelle asked. "I'm surprised. They're reputation isn't exactly great."

"True but both their Captain and Vice-Captain have abyssal Quirks and as an abyssal Quirk user I tend to read up and admire those who have seen and command it no matter the branch." Tokoyami said. "Yami Sukehiro is their Captain and his Darkness Quirk is the purest abyssal Quirk out there, it is quite impressive though it is rather destructive hence why he's known as Destruction God. As for their Vice Captain, he's not well known as he avoids the spotlight even more than most Quirk Knights but his Shadow Master Quirk allows him to interact with and travel through the abyss itself. If any of you do end up interning with the Black Bulls I would like some information on how they use their Quirks."

"So that's who Destruction God is." Asta said. "I wonder why that is."

"It's because Yami is known for channeling his Quirk into and then using a traditional Japanese katana." Tokoyami said. "If fact all reports indicate that he is a gifted sword master with it even without adding his Quirk to his blade. He may actually be a good mentor for someone who uses swords."

"That is a good sell." Asta said. "But what of the others?"

"The Crimson Lion Kings are the most prestigious of them." Noelle admitted, she hated doing so but Asta deserved to make an informed choice even if it would likely be a choice she hated though why all this bothered her so much Noelle didn't know. "That's the one lead by Leo's brother and Mimosa's cousin and he's been mentioned before at lunch a few times. They're up there with the Golden Dawn and Silver Eagles for sure."

"Oh yeah I recall them now." Asta said. "Leo really admires his brother and will likely join his family's Squad."

"He will, that's a given, though I know Mimosa won't." Noelle said. "Regardless, there's no question that that is the best offer you have. As for the other two, all I really know about the Aqua Deer is that they have the youngest leader, he's 19 and pretty new to it so they're a bit unknown. As for the Purple Orcas, well they have a rather unsavory reputation and often when a Quirk Knight ends up going rogue or becoming corrupt it's one of them. I've even heard one or two rumors about their Captain but that could just be envy because The Tycoon is a nickname he earned because of his business acumen and not his Quirk Knight service."

"Well that rules out the Purple Orcas especially as I have a feeling I met one of their disgraced members in Hage and it was facing him when my Quirk manifested." Asta said. "What about you Noelle, what offers do you have?"

"The Black Bulls." Noelle said and left it at that.

"That it?" Momo asked. "I'd expect you to have more, certainly the Silver Eagles, but given your birth, gender, Quirk, and your tangential relationship through marriage to the Vermillions I'd have expected you'd get offers from all Squads but the Green Praying Mantises and maybe Purple Orcas."

"Call it a condition of my enrollment and my lack of control." Noelle said. "I can only join the Black Bulls. Also I'm related to Mimosa and Kirsch via my aunt but that is it and as Kirsch isn't in the Crimson Lion Kings and Mimosa won't be there's no real connection to them for me. I doubt Fuegoleon even knows who I am."

"I too have an offer from the Black Bulls, and the Crimson Lion Kings as well." Nero said. "So we all have Black Bull offers."

"Then Black Bulls it is." Asta said with a grin that shocked, and thrilled, Noelle. "No doubt about it."

"Works for me." Nero said filling her sheet out. "I was hoping we'd all get the same offer."

"I, Asta, are you sure?" Noelle asked her voice hesitant and if Mina wasn't currently complaining about her lack of offers and not knowing which one to take she'd have jumped on that. "The Black Bulls, they're the outcasts, the worst of the worst, the place where people only go if they have no other option in the Quirk Knights. I'm only allowed to join them because of that. It's an exile for me due to my lack of control and the shame my failure has brought on my family. I'm the first Silva to not be in the family Squad."

"And?" Asta asked. "Why should any of that matter?"

"Because you have an offer from one of the best Squads and so does Nero, well she has two but I know she'll follow you to the Crimson Lion Kings if you take their offer." Noelle said as she tried to understand Asta's decision because to her it made no sense. "I understand why you didn't get the Silver Eagles and the Golden Dawn is just as classist as they are so Vangeance likely didn't make an offer for the same reason while the Blue Rose Knights are sexist and if I had to guess Mimosa's ass of a brother prevented Dorothy from making you an offer but Fuegoleon doesn't care for that. He would have seen your strength and wanted it."

"I am certainly grateful that a top Squad wants me but that's not what I'm looking for." Asta said. "If it had been the start of the year or after some initiation thing that wasn't via school then I would have taken it in a heartbeat but that's not the case. Instead I came to U.A. and I met you and Nero and learned you're both on the same track as me. Because of that we've fought together, trained together, and grown close over the semester. You two are my closest friends in the class Noelle, why would I want to break that up? I trust you and you trust me, that means that the best Squad for me is the same as you and Nero's also got that offer so it really works out. Plus if this Captain Yami is a swordsman then I can really learn from him in more ways than one."

"Asta." Noelle said her eyes wide and beginning to tear up at his words, so much so that she turned away and coughed to hide her reaction and how touched she was by it.

"Huh, did I do something wrong?" Asta asked confused now. "It's just the truth. Oh and if they really are the worst then if I help turn them around it will look really good."

"No I'd say you did the right thing." Nero said with a small smile glad that Asta had decided to stick with Noelle, she'd follow him regardless but she needed Asta as well and Nero did consider Noelle a friend now so she was happy to be in a Squad with her too. "Noelle's just a bit overwhelmed that's all. She's not used to seeing what true selflessness is like."

"Sorry, th, thank you Asta, I look forward to working with you and Nero even more." Noelle said not looking at him, his words, decision and the fact that he'd be in the same Squad as her were really getting to her and her usual denial regarding how she felt towards Asta was working overtime so she quickly shifted the topic. "Anyway, who else got Quirk Knight offers? I may be able to help if you have questions."

"Like I care about that stuff." Bakugo said surprising them that he was still there, he'd been quietly pursuing his many offers and found the best one selecting it right away though he was pissed that numbers 2 and 3 hadn't bothered with him. "I'm not taking the Golden Dawn even if they are the best Squad. I'll give whoever runs it, he's got brains to recognize me as the strongest in the year but I'm going to surpass All Might, so I need the best normal hero for that."

"Hey me too." Kaminari said as Bakugo got up to go turn his sheet in. "I got an offer from them as well?"

"Hold up." Noelle said looking to Kaminari her eyes wide while Bakugo left the classroom. "You, you got an offer from the top Quirk Knight Squad. How? For that matter how did Bakugo? He may have won and beaten Yuno and Asta in the process but his attitude doesn't really fit them."

"Vangeance was a guest commentator for the semis and finals and did say that Bakugo reminded him of his Vice-Captain." Momo noted as she finished her ranking list, which she'd included the Blue Rose Knights on to show that she wasn't opposed to them but for her, her top choice for an intern mentor was the Snake Hero: Uwabami as she felt like that was the best fit for her. "That's likely why but Bakugo's not suited for the Quirk Knights. Hopefully some sensible hero like Best Jeanist or Edgeshot has made him an offer that would set him straight. I doubt he'd take an offer from someone out of the top 10 but those two are 4 and 5 so they'll appeal to his ego."

"That explains Bakugo at least though he's not high class in any meaning of the term." Noelle said. "But what about Kaminari? Why'd he get an offer?"

"I don't know but it's here." Kaminari said holding it up and confirming it. "I'm as confused as you are Silva. Why would they want me? I'm not on that track."

"It's the same for me." Tokoyami said. "The Golden Dawn offered me an internship. I'm honored because of their reputation, though as far as I'm aware none of them have an abyssal Quirk, but as I said a moment ago, I have an intern offer I can't say no to for multiple reasons."

"Three who don't fit the mold." Noelle said trying to process it. "Four if we include Yuno, that's unheard of. Mimosa's probably going as well but that's expected. What are they thinking? In fact all these offers make no sense. Do they do this every year knowing they likely won't? I'm so lost."

"We probably won't know." Nero said trying to reassure Noelle. "Best not to question it."

"I guess." Noelle said though the whole thing had confused her enough to get her back under control in regards to what Asta had said. "Any others?"

"I got one from the Black Bulls and while it would be good to join you there are too many going and I don't think the Quirk Knights are a right fit for me right now." Izuku said. "I've got to look over the names and analyze them. Let's see, there are 40 I can choose from and…"

At that Izuku devolved into a mumbling storm that everyone noticed and the whole mood was broken. It was lunchtime so those who had made their choices headed to turn them in and get lunch while the rest continued to ponder their options either over lunch or in the classroom. Izuku was one of them but soon he'd be told of the offer he'd received from an old pro called Gran Torino. It was an offer that would change his life in multiple ways when he took it.

Next up for Class 1-A were their internships, their first true taste of hero life. However, for some that would be a bigger taste than others as factors began to converge on a singular location in Japan that would shift the direction of the nation in ways no one could see coming.

Well there it is, the hero names and internship offers. I know that the Quirk Knight students don't have names but I never really planned on that beyond titles and I'll delve more into that during their internship while I did change my idea for Ruby as the suggestions were better than what I had and while it's not exactly what was suggested the idea was similar. Weiss was obvious, nothing to say there. As for the offers, I really do not plan for MHA canon characters to permanently be in the other branches but some will be trialing them in the work studies to see while also allowing me to broaden that stuff more for when I get to it. I also did give Asta more offers than he got in Black Clover because that is different in this story regarding how his power is scene and his display but as he showed he is still going to be a Black Bull. As for the other offers to non-Black Clover characters, the reason for them is that they are a deeper crossover reference. Those who got them either got them because they share a VA with the Squad Captain (Momo, Ida, Tokoyami, Kirishima and in Class 1-B Kendo) or because they share a VA with someone either currently in the squad (all but Ochaco) or a former member (Ochaco's VA also voices Acier Silva) hence why they were chosen and this applies for Class 1-B as well so at least 5 of them who meet this requirement as the one who'd meet a past one voiced one of the two corrupt Magic Knights that William and Yami took down before they were given their own Squads to command. For the most part I'm going to avoid mixing them up but for the work studies when some might. To those perceptive, during the Sports Festival I mentioned that there was a deeper crossover and that was when Jack mentioned there was someone he really wanted to cut and that that someone was Kirishima (though not by name) and the reason for that is that Kirishima is the MHA character that shares an English VA with Jack. Anyway, that is all I have for this chapter, next up is the start of the internships and the first look at the other branches in action outside of the school so stay tuned for that but for now I will leave this chapter off here.
