CHAPTER III ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
John reached for his phone only to realize it was his Gummiphone that's ringing. He answers it and is a little surprised to see who it is.
John: Master Yen Sid!?
Yen Sid: Greetings John it is nice to speak with you again.
John: Oh, It's umm nice to hear from you, Master Yen Sid. Is there something you want to talk about or some new threat to the worlds?
Yen Sid: No, young wielder there isn't at the time. I have contacted you for a different reason. Remember how you had asked me about the good fairies and if they could make some new attire for you?
John had almost forgotten about how he had wanted new clothes to fight against the Heartless and others in his world if he needed to.
John: You mean they're back from their trip!?
Yen Sid: Indeed they are. You are free to come to the tower at your convenience.
John: Alright thank you so much Master Yen Sid!
John: I'll try to make it there during lunch. I have a free block after it so I should be fine. It will be a LOT easier to fight Heartless and Nobodies in my world if I don't have to worry about people finding out who I am.
He said with an excited expression.
Yen Sid: I'm glad to see your enthusiasm, but tell me John how is it being back in school? I hope you are doing well.
John: Rough first day, but first days are usually the hardest. I missed the first period because of two Heartless this morning, but I took care of them and on my way to school now.
John: Speaking of school I should hurry to get there, thank you again I'll be at the tower later, bye.
John hung up the Gummiphone and hurried to school.
Cut back to Yen Sid with a small smile
Yen Sid: His heart has become much stronger than before. The light in his heart is now almost as strong as his own darkness.
The door to Yen Sid's room opens slowly to reveal his old student Mickey.
Mickey: Hello, Master, have you spoken to John yet?
Yen Sid: Indeed I have, he will be here later in the day.
Yen Sid: Now in the meantime tell me about the mission you went on.
After the 2nd Keyblade War Mickey, Riku, Sora, and Kairi and a few others have been going from world to world defeating Heartless Nobodies while also trying to save people that fell in the darkness. Occasionally they would run into people that for one reason or another got stranded on other worlds.
Mickey: Yes, you see Master we had got to that world right as it was falling to darkness, we had managed to save two people who were near us at the time. We're going to take them to Radiant Garden soon. But-
The King paused.
Yen Sid: Is there a problem Mickey?
The mouse King stutters.
Mickey: N-No Master it's just that they say they both want to help get their world back. But for two different reasons.
Yen Sid stared at his old apprentice with an eyebrow raised.
Yen Sid: I see, Mickey, why don't you let the two of them explain their reasoning to me personally.
Mickey: Um, okay Master, I'll tell Riku and the others to bring them upstairs. They're all in the Gummiship now trying to get more information from her.
Yen Sid nodded in response as his Majesty pulled out his Gummiphone to call his three friends.
Mickey: Riku, I'm with Master Yen Sid now. He said he wants to speak with them in person so could you all bring them upstairs?
Mickey paused to let Riku speak for a moment.
Mickey: What, Sora untied her!? Well so long as she's calm I guess it's okay.
The elderly wizard speaks up.
Yen Sid: It sounds to me that it was quite the endeavor to get her to agree with you.
Mickey: Somewhat, you see Master we had found the pair during a prison riot. The girl we just mentioned was one of the inmates and is apparently the worst of the them. The other is a boy that was sent over to the prison to help with a different matter but ended up right in the middle of the riot. We had to fight her and all the other inmates but in the end we were only able to save the two.
Yen Sid: I see, anything else?
Mickey: Yes, the prison was meant to hold two types of inmates. Half are some of the worst criminals in their world the other half I'm told are demons and the girl is one of those demons. The group that puts them all in there are called Exorcists.
(Cut to John)
John was able to make it for his next class right on time and went on with his day. Only had to stop one guy who was trying to force a female low-tier student to do his homework for him, a three page essay assignment. He did wonder which teacher would give that as homework then tell everyone it was due the next day, he was gonna avoid that one every way he could.
Well visiting his locker John then overheard two male students one with bright red hair the other with orange hair talking about cake being for lunch. He couldn't help but be curious so he decides to go up to them and ask.
John: Umm hi … my names John, sorry I overheard what you were saying and wanted to know more. So instead of standing other there like a creep I wanted to ask you about it.
The two stare at him for a little while John was picnicking in his head.
John: (Inner thought) Crap did I mess up? Now that I think about I have a few classes with these two they must think I'm weird after I tested that Elaine girl.
The orange haired boy then spoke.
Orange haired boy: Well… okay I don't see a problem.
Isen: Your name's John, the names Isen. The red ugly bastard next to me here is- ACK!
Is all he could say before getting kicked in the shin by his red haired friend.
Blyke: I'm Blyke, don't listen to this dumb ass here.
John: Cool okay
Blyke: You're that new guy from yesterday right?
John: Yay, and before you say yes I am well aware of how bad of a joke it was.
Isen who has recovered now speaks.
Isen: Anyone could have told you that.
Blyke: You can say that again. Never seen Elaine act like that though.
John: (Inner thought) They seem cool, that's good.
Isen: Anyway let's get back to what we were talking about.
Isen: I'll be more than happy to share what I know but in exchange, you tell me the answer's to the question of the day.
He said in a playful tone.
John: Let me guess, the question of the day is "What is John Doe's ability".
Isen: BINGO!
Isen: A lot of people want to know and some people were thinking of challenging you after they heard the things you did yesterday.
Blyke: Not gonna lie I was thinking of doing the same after hearing that.
John's eyes widen hearing this
John: It's only the second day of me being here. Why am I on so many people's radar!?
Isen Blyke began to list the reasons.
Isen: Your joke for starters.
Blyke: The fact you beat a good amount of students in one day WITHOUT using your ability.
Isen: And those that you did use your ability on none of them can say what exactly it is.
John: When you say it like that I guess it would make sense.
Isen: Sweet, we have two more classes before lunch. You can give me the details then. Oh before I forget. I should tell you I'm a part of the school paper so if what you say is good enough for the papers expected to be on the front page, because that is what I aim for!
John: W-Wait what?
Blyke: Dude, come on not cool!
Isen: Now for the info you've all been waiting for!
Blyke: Hey don't ignore me!
Isen leans in closer to John while hoping Blyke doesn't hit him and begins to whisper.
Isen: (Whispering) They're serving their Triple Choco Cake today at lunch. Basically it's a triple layer chocolate cake and the size of one slice is still pretty big. They only serve it once every blue moon dude everyone wants one. People are even willing to fight for just one slice.
John: Damn, that sounds good.
Isen: Nobody knows this yet except for a handful of people in the newspaper club and now you two. You're welcome by the way.
The bell then rings alarm in the three that they are now late for class.
Blyke/Isen/John: Shit!
Blyke: Damnit Isen!
Isen: How is this my fault!
John: Will talk later! See ya!
The three rush towards their next class.
(Cut to Yen Sid's tower)
Sora, Riku, and Kairi bring the pair to the office of the retired Master. The young woman stands somewhere around five feet tall, has bright yellow eyes and long messy unkempt raven black hair that touches the floor and is tied near the end. Her attire looks as if it's seen better days with a long torn black coat that looks a little too big for her being held to her by a black belt around her chest. A torn up red shirt that just barely covers her chest and nothing else. A pair a black pants or at least they were as they are so torn up they can be confused for hot pants being held up by a black belt she also has three red black belts on her right leg. She also wears black boots with metal armor attached to them and a metal gauntlet on her right arm that looks like it may have a hidden blade. One of her most stand out features is the fact that her entire left arm was covered in bandages, fingers, hands and all.
The unnamed young man has slightly unkempt blonde hair bright green eyes. He wore a white cape with blue interior and white tunic with what looks like a golden arrow pointing down from the neck white gloves reaching his forearms. He also wore plane black pants and white boots reaching his thigh also with a golden arrow pointing down. Lastly, a brown belt with a sword within its white sheath.
The King begins to introduce the two.
Mickey: Master Yen Sid let me introduce you. To the left here we have the surviving inmate, her name is Velvet Crowe.
The escaped daemon now known as Velvet only looks at the wizard before Mickey introduces the other survivor.
Mickey: To the right we have the Exorcist, his name is Oscar Dragonia.
The one now known as Oscar begins to speak.
Oscar: Hello, it is a true honor to meet you. His Majesty and his companions have told me much about you.
Yen Sid: Likewise Osc-
Velvet spoke up, cutting off Yen Sid.
Velvet: We don't have time for this! Just tell us how to put the world back where it was so I can get back and kill that bastard Artorius!
The room fell silent for a second, just a second until Oscar said.
Oscar: Of course, what would one expect from a daemon.
Velvet: Keep your mouth shut Exorcist!
Riku: That's enough!
Kairi: Please, just stop!
Sora: Ya, you two have done nothing but fight each other on the trip here! Now that you're about to get answers you want to fight some more!
The bickering pair began to step away from each other with looks of anger and shame.
Oscar: I apologize, Master Yen Sid.
Yen Sid: I understand that the two of you have differences. Your circumstances put the both of you at odds with each other.
Yen Sid: Now I shall tell you both of the fate of your world as well as the entities that have caused this. Afterwards you can tell me about your world as it will make it just a little bit easier to set it right.
The two nod in understanding.
( Cut to John)
John: (Inner Thought) Okay I'll rush to the cafeteria, get a slice of that cake and head over to the Masters Tower. Easy breezy.
Or so he thought, when he opened the door he saw a mob of students all fight to make sure they got a hold of a slice. He even sees Blyke Isen trying and failing to get ahead of everyone.
John: (Inner Thought) I guess there was an info leak. Damnit how I'm gonna… oh wait.
John began to sprint towards the crowd and in a black and purple flash he appeared in a small opening near the middle of the crowd. He then proceeds to do the same thing two more times and even manages to give a cocky smirk to the duo he meant earlier to get the slice of cake.
John: Piece of cake, literally.
John looks at his chocolate cake like you would expect a small child to, only for his attention to be torn from his cake to someone else calling to him in an authoritative tone.
???: Hey you!
The young wielder turns his head in the direction of the voice to see that it was the school's Queen Seraphina.
John: What? You again? Here not be helpful again?
The Queen upon hearing that begins to scowl at him. She takes a deep breath before speaking up.
Seraphina: That cake you have. Give it to me.
John: … No way. Look I don't care if you're Queen, King, Jack. This cake is mine.
John: Besides can't you just use your ability to get your own, a bunch of students are doing it RIGHT NOW over there. Just get your own.
After finishing his sentence John grew surprised when Seraphina's eyes started to glow activating her ability. The Queen extends her hard to him with her palm out.
Seraphina: Don't make me repeat myself.
John just looks at her for a second.
John: Are you seriously going to fight me like this…for a CAKE?
Seraphina: Are YOU seriously disobeying me for a cake?
John: (Inner Thought) She's serious. Of course she's serious. I've almost forgotten what the world is like.
Seraphina: Well.
Upon hearing the Queen's voice the wielder of the Keyblade notices that everyone is staring at them. He takes a deep breath exhales and then proceeds to pull something out his pocket. Seraphina looks at him with confusion.
What John was reaching for was one of the cafeterias knives. To everyone's surprise he begins cutting the cake in half right down the middle.
Seraphina: W-What are you-
John: Here you go.
Seraphina's eyes widened looking at the plate of chocolate cake only cut in half. She then looks at John's face there wasn't any look of anger or fear in his eyes. Instead there was a warm,
kind, genuine toothy smile on his, she couldn't help but feel safe when looking at that smile. The Queen then turned her attention to the boy's other hand seeing the other half of the cake in it, noticing it was cut perfectly even. The Ace of the school just continues staring at the boy unaware of how much time has passed.
John: Well aren't you gonna take your it, your half I mean?
Seraphina: …
Seraphina: Why did you … do that?
John: Cutting the cake? Simple.
John: I didn't want us to start a fight over such a lame reason like a cake. That I had first by the way.
John: So I thought, why don't we just share it.
Everyone watching the scene unfold was shocked to say the least. Many talking amongst themselves saying things like, "Is Seraphina really gonna take that disrespect" or "Come on just beat his ass already". Seraphina can hear what bystanders are saying and does consider it.
Seraphina: (Inner Thought) What is this guy up to? He should more than understand who I am by now. But he just keeps standing there with that smile … and he means it. I don't even think he's trying to get on my good side like Zeke does.
Seraphina: (Inner Thought) Is this a trick? No, I would know if that's a fake smile or maybe he's a good liar.
John: Um Hey you've been staring off into space for a while now. Do you want it or not? I'm not THAT nice to look at.
Seraphina was pulled back to reality by John's words tries to find the right words to say next. What she says next shocks all watching even John as she reaches for the plate.
Seraphina: Um… Thank you.
She said as the boy takes a bait of his cake.
John: No problem, just try not to take from others and it's water under the bridge. See ya.
As John walks away he can feel the stares of the students as he makes his exit, as well as hear some of what they are saying.
Student #1: What the hell!? He gets to walk away from that!
Student #2: If he can get away with doing that then he must be pretty strong.
Student #3: Maybe Seraphina just doesn't think he's worth it?
John ignores all of it makes his way out the door.
John: Alright time to go.
He walks further down the hallway looking all around to see if there's anyone else in view. He noticed the stairs decided to open a Dark Corridor.
