Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
With this chapter it's jumping over the mission to Ernest's research station, before returning to earth now, and ending up back on the base now. Said now looking exactly like the Enterprise D, in every way, shape or form. And just without the technical problems, as the tunneling between their base and White Rock Research Station. There is a set of jeffries tubes going horizontally that way, rather then vertically.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration here. Also with this chapter Daniel is telling the public, the SGA has reactivated now, and with it.
That he's working trade to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
Part 31: The Enterprise And Fresh Starts I
Yesterday's Enterprise-8 Days Later:
It was a few days later after doing some further research on the planet, Daniel smiled. "Enjoying yourself, Colonel?" Landry said and he nodded, smiling. "Found it, the outpost the Ancients had, the weapon is where we found the beta gate, 50 yards away from where they dug it up. The DHD, so we retrace my steps, and we get the prize now, it's exactly as I thought here. But the added bonus, now, we found the power source, it's still enough power to last 75 years now, Sir."
"So we plug this into the chair, and she's up and working again right now, as this combines with the reactor, and we got enough power for 375 years there at Atlantea now." he said and Landry nodded smiling then. "At least it's not the database, or that could kill someone right now." he said and Daniel nodded. "I think these lunatics went that way, but as Russ now realized here, they were about to attempt blackmail, after he had a relapse." he said and Landry nodded.
"Real or not, in hallucinations and she just realized, his relapse, had it turning more dangerous right now. And that's what's about to happen to you, they're going to attempt blackmail, to get you to comply. I don't think so, we just teleport your friends, and sisters, your nieces and brother-in-law. On board the ship, and they have absolutely no leverage, they're safely on the ship, there is no way for him to blackmail you, as we got enough on them to have them shot."
"Yes alright baby, the gate is set up and ready, we can gate to the Enterprise now, I had Shepard waiting on stand by to come get me, he's in McMurdo right now in truth." he said and Daniel nodded, as they gated there, before Catherine punched in a security codes, to open the system interlocks gently then gently then. "We start in 4 days on your mission right now, but this is your personal mission now, but first we have to deal with Camelot and the quartet."
"Once done you head for La Rochelle." he said and Daniel nodded smiling as he dialed out and they waited gently. "Hey Daniel, what you want a bet, that our dead inhabitants are still alive, both versions exactly?" Major, Dr. Derek Hanson said and he started laughing. "No bet Derek, and they are, we're not bringing them to earth, the gate maybe 2 stories tall. But some of these animals are 5." he said and Teal'C explained that. "Dinosaurs." he said to the trio gently.
"We got a few animals are earth, that match these historical animals, but 6 years ago they created a movie on cloning dinosaurs, which explains the exchange and reprimand. That the general gave Carter, before you arrived, I did all the research, the Abydos Cartouche. And the sarcophagus, but his remark, it meant what the Orbanians are using their kids for. And she's doing that with Jolinar's memories." he said and Vala and Drey'auc nodded in understanding.
"And try that with the Rex, it's a slaughter in the town waiting to happen, and to repeat Owen, we came to watch, they came to strip mine the place. But these lunatics are idiots, right now, but that helpless little hatchling with the broken leg is going to grow up to become it. The animal that had the entire city in a panic, and chasing Jeff around, car or not." Cam said with a bemused smile, and Landry exchanged irritated looks with Carson and Pulaski at that remark.
"And he makes a perfect person to play you, as we get Sam and Laura involved again, but nobody is bringing children to these islands, safari style. We can't leave any sign for them to know we're there." Daniel said and Hanson smiled and nodded. "Well if that theory becomes true, we're doing what Richard failed to do, and before it results in killing anyone else. But the reprimand over the radio, you're Will in everything that counts." he said and Landry chuckled.
"Yeah alright General, you're clear to come through!" Bill Riker said and they nodded as they walked through, and came in. "Whoa, this looks like the cargo-bay on the ship, the one carrying Danar, before Worf ambushed him." Anna said and he nodded. "We managed to scope out 1/6th of the saucer section, the ship is the size of a star destroyer. More exactly, Vader's flagship, it's so big, but beyond spacious." Derek Goldberg said and he nodded to the news.
"Yeah Mother, we're underwater, look outside." Ry'ac said and she turned and saw a dark blue mountain to the left, and of an animal in navy blue and white now. "The remark of the very tip of the iceberg, is the exact truth, you have no idea how deep these things are. And till you look at it from down here, with being in a sub, or in this case, a more advanced aquarium." Landry said and she nodded, as Ry'ac was watching the seals and dolphins swimming by with a smile.
"Which deck is this, if we are this deep underwater?" she asked and he nodded. "Deck 38 actually, decks 1 to 25 are the military housing. 28 to 50 are the base. And 51 to 65 are the habitat, that's deepsea diving, and by submersibles now." Picard said and they nodded smiling. "So rather then being trapped underground, we can see underwater animals, and get a better view here, as we see your world, for the beauty it is." Ry'ac said and he nodded then gently.
"Yep, and this gives you the more spacious and natural beauty side to being an earthling, instead of being a city dweller." Daniel said and he nodded smiling then. "I take it that's an ice mountain, and one of marine wild life you have out here?" she asked and he nodded. "Turns out the shuttle and cargo bays have windows, the size of a normal bedroom window, enforced. By a shield here, so we can look outside and they can look in, in the aquatic life out here now."
"But there it is, we get such a way of living in an aquarium down here, we're seeing seals, penguins and whales swimming by the windows now. But this is nice, it's nice and quiet in here, aside from the cheeps and whistles they give off, and the gate is on deck 38, and too low. I can't hear the racket here, but this is better then being on a military base with the alarms going off. And repeatedly, but I think we got a case of living in luxury now here in truth at the moment."
"Beyond spacious and beyond luxurious as well I bet here, vacationing on the best ship in the galaxy, while they're busy with dangerous missions, we like the peace and quiet. So now what Jack, you're enjoying being on Earth, going camping, living rough to our idea of fun. And what the ship has to offer is our idea of entertainment, concert halls, orchestra, plays. We're more civilized, then the injury prone sports you get into and to quote Dan, again, right now."
"I see the underdeveloped resources of northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, I see a syndicated development consortium exploiting over a billion and a half dollars in forest products. I see a paper mill, and if the strategic metals are there, a mining operation. A greenbelt between the condos on the lake and a waste management facility, focusing on the newest rage in toxic waste: medical refuse. Infected bandages, body parts, IV tubing, contaminated glassware."
"Entrails, syringes, fluids, blood, low grade radioactive waste, all safely contained, sunken in the lake and sealed for centuries, so, I ask you, what do you see?" Daniel said and they nodded. "Point taken, what he sees as beautiful, we see the laborers of what their kind does to the planet, in both ways, which is why we all moved ourselves somewhere. That we don't have to see this, and are working to fix that problem, clean energy fuel source." Dixon said to him then.
"You're still ticked off at him, if you keep talking about this, honey?" Pulaski asked and he nodded, sighing. "Since Hathor I lost my will to keep fighting it out with him, but I meant it, what he said during his undercover stint, it never hurt. Because to me if he knew where Sha're was as well and never told me, he just destroyed this relationship as well. There's nothing for me back there, I have nothing left to give." he said and their parents age group nodded gently.
"But if they gave us a chance to jump into our grandchildren I tell this to them, instead, he shoved it 400 years into the past, I get reassigned and I can unload it to you. But 1) as I told you, I can't get any real nutrients, because they think everything here. That we get in hospitality is drugged, 2) it's despite saying they're sorry, it's still the cruel jabs as I'm more sensitive. As I throw it back at them, and they're interfering in my work, so what's my job exactly there now."
"What you bring me on for, your side panel?" he asked and Addison crossed his arms. "I ordained a mandate created especially for you, so you can bring in the stuff that defends it. The entire planet, not just the country, but your orders, given out by me, and by the president. Is to value the science and culture value of every mission from now on." he said and Daniel nodded. "Well he's refusing to do that, end it 45 minutes into it." he said and they nodded sternly then.
"Your, that's them now, but your problem is your ignorance, your ignorance of my job, it results in serious consequences, it's only when you really need me. That you treat me like crap, till I decide, you want to die the hell with it, but I want to stay. And study things, and you refuse, you want to stay for things, I put up with it, so tell me, is it fair. Is that fair at all, you do what she wants, but when I want to stay, you refuse, is that fair, Colonel?" he said and they nodded then.
"Good question, Colonel, you do what she wants, but when Daniel wants to stay, you abort the mission, how is that fair exactly?" Carson said and knowing Jack would have started shaking violently, realizing he was completely screwed, with the brass then. Allow one member all the time they need, but not the other, when he was a civilian. "I do believe I gave the ordered mandate to you, on the first day on the job, followed by the extension of said mandate now."
"The president did say that we should value the science and culture value of every mission." Addison said, knowing Sam would start panicking, realizing his anthropology was needed, his knowledge and skills, not their military information then finally at that. "Not when it puts us at risk, of getting converted entirely!" Dixon said in shock to that, pretending to be Jack. "Did the president put that proviso in there?" he asked and Sanderson smiled sternly at that remark.
"Do you remember his telling him do to that, or that proviso, or did we put that in there, if the mission in their eyes starts appearing dangerous, to abort immediately. During our trio mandate here, guys?" Addison asked the 5 star Admiral, and his Marine and Army counterparts then. "No I don't remember hearing him saying that, you said Danny was the best of the best. And that we should give him room to work if he connected to the abydonians here now then in truth."
"He's the key to exact trading, we should tell the other governments, and return him to his real job, as he's the American Ambassador. As he connects to their country planets, but now that we know that France can be used for medical that has me wondering. Just what else did they skip out on, as it's turned into an intergalactic arms race, since 1995 here now." the admiral said and they all paled, realizing he never said anything of the sort and Addison nodded then.
"It's a combination of two things, the fact that they got tricked here into sleeping with them, 2) is these, the elixir trio. They carry two drugs, highly addictive, and 3) is Hathor, so you make your own assumption." Daniel said and the medical department nodded. "A choice between giving into the pain, and trapped, or suffer the worst narcotic withdrawal you ever had. You were willing to stay put, if it carries narcotics, and links you to whoever it, better safe now.'
"Sergeant Perry, examine that elixir please." Addison said and he nodded, and took the bottle and headed for the lab, before 30 minutes later coming back. "There's a high level of alien viagra in it, the DNA it appears to be set for's Thanos and the queen. So it's meant for a bi-sexual relationship here now, and with it, and even better too. Is there's a high level of poppy and lotus blossom nectar, this is a normal one, not the changing." he said and they nodded.
"So that's the basic one, the changing elixir, carries the same items, only they're set to the men and women that chose them, the drugs inside are meant for a mental testing. And of will power, you give in, you're trapped, you stay here, you're suffering the come down. And from a drug addict's worst nightmares, but considering here now, what these idiots get themselves into. It makes sense, so drug addicts already, okay add drugs." Perry said and Landry nodded then.
"No it's actually, once whoever catches their eyes, they give them said, only it's set to the person that chose them, triggering a fortnight in amnesia here. And said fortnight in split second insanity, if they want to keep you for marriage, it's the changing elixir. I was experimenting with the second, and realized it takes 18 to 30 doses to change you back. But here's tip now, that only royalty and engaged to is allowed it, the palace." he said and they all nodded smiling then.
"He said we should value the science and culture aspect, ergo, examine customs and attune ourselves to them, in the planets we frequently go to. Learn what has them this healthy, and find out more about it, there could be something there, we can use. Determine threats, find out if there is one, said threat is the changing elixir, some of these planets are friendly. Others at times get a little friendly to downright seductive, so watch out, if they're our parents age now."
"It's if the serum works on us, they get to adopt us, nothing wrong with that, as we become part of their community, we can make a life there, if we have to leave earth. But that's the point of the president's orders, determine threats, search out if there is one. And 2), perform a recon scan of the planet, so you don't walk into a forbidden zone, say into the other village. And 3) is getting accustomed to customs on the planet, we play by their rules, as we get them now."
"To trust us." he said, knowing they all pale, realizing Daniel read out the president's exact mandate for them. "You at first, Captain, thought that was great till you till realized this meant, that when chosen, they never let go, and you don't want to stay there. To you, you have to save the galaxy, from the evil tyranny of the system lords, but what if some of us. Want a new life huh, to quote Machello, I have suffered more than anyone should suffer in a life time here now."
"For 2.5 years I fought against the system lords, then I was betrayed by my best friend, who they secretly turned into a mole." he said, knowing she'd pale then, realizing mole was the remark for double agent, to the generals she was a mole, for the NID, Jack was a traitor. And he was through listening to them. "Thanks to you, you and Jack, I have no reason to stay SGC, because you treated me like crap, for 5 years, him, he's jealous to the point of murder now."
"And she's not innocent in anyway either, because of her listening to a quack, and I prefer old school medicine, which is based on the act to watching behavior. Not bloodwork, or don't you remember he cut his wrist to the elbow?" he said, knowing she'd go white, realizing that said everything that needed to be said to him, to Warren, Anna and Parker. "These black ops all had a serious screw loose, they always did, but as you said, soft spot for the lunatic fringe type."
"Well a girl flirts with the dangerous man, but they never bring him home, they marry the good guy." he said, knowing she'd go white as a sheet. "You're as crazy as they are here, that we never take un-necessary risks, when we don't need to right now. But following through on trade, work with the member, find out enough they could be a safe haven. If we get attacked, find said threat and exploit it, that's what we're being ordered to do." he said, seeing she'd start shaking.
And so violently in fear, that she realized he was a by the book, no more cutting corners, he was doing everything as ordered, like a true by the book now. "My orders are to do everything as ordered, now if I started 10 years ago, we have so many upgrades right now. That we're not scrambling to catch up, at the end of a deadline, that to the Starfleet brass. And the enterprise D, I'm so well known, they know I would never quit here, want something done right here."
"You got to do it yourself, but leaving the SGC was for the best, I get the technology we really need, the treaty is the cornerstone. But if these guys want to go Maxwell, well then the hell with it, the SGA didn't do anything, and episode sum or other. Said was non canon, if Sarah gets it next." he said and the brass and crew nodded sternly in agreement. "Agreed right now, everything you know is based on ethics and standards but there it is." Landry said to that news.
"You think if you started directly after he left, we had the technology?" Addison asked and he nodded. "Yeah, but you know these guys, I couldn't break it without getting arrested, for breaking orders to stay put." he said and they nodded. "Well that's another reason to have him committed, he cost you two chances to bring in technology. We so desperately needed, well time to fix that now, you're getting your 15 months now." he said and Daniel nodded smiling gently.
"That damn dragonfly now, it could have killed the entire planet, but enough about bio weapons, we're joined as one, but learning the truth now. Is better then learning it in 4 years after the next attack, Uncle Jerry, the bastards don't see what they're doing. Could kill us along with the enemy." he said and the joint chiefs nodded to the remark. "So you're saying we should lock these guys up, do it our way, after Ford?" he asked and Daniel nodded sternly then as he said it.
"Yeah I do, that's the only chance we have, allow other countries to be involved." he said and he nodded sternly. "I meant it, Daniels is me in everything that counts, it's my job to save lives, preserve lives, not look for weapons that destroy them. I didn't get into this job to deal with this crap, nor did I get into the job to build weapons to destroy lives. I did it to save people, she may claim that's a weakness, but she's a soldier, not a real one." he said and they nodded gently.
"I understand you done all you can pretending here now as a soldier, it's time to go on, as a doctor, and time to build bridges. Instead of burning them, so 10 months, you get your 10 months, and they reactivate in 11." he said and Daniel nodded gently to the news. "I'm too tightly indoctrinated by the medical department, she may claim that's a weakness. But it's my science is a hindrance to her's, and her's destroys lives." he said and then sighed gently then.
As he ran his hand through his hair. "To be honest, it's though acting normal, is this catch is turning into the sphere, but G,H,Y, R, D, C, B, J, U, E, S, X. As Dustin said Sam had the code wrong, so knowing what we're looking at and screw the keyboard into the sphere. The decode is my name is Sam, not Cam, and Brandon, Eric, Karen and I have only one choice. Before she, out of anger, kills the entire crew manifest, out of her fear and anger." he said and they nodded.
"But I agree with Eric, going into that ship is a accident waiting to happen, scientist maybe, but she doesn't have the type of mental control we do, I been here for over 18 months. In that time I mastered living in space, or in this case underwater, having seeing that. And day in and day out right now, underwater maybe, but it still looks nice, better then being up there, I like it down here, I'm not spec ops, but a seal here, but that's beautiful, when I see this now."
"I hear nothing but gentle animals noises, the gentle beeping of the electronics, no alarms going off, no loud noises, and alerts over the intercom. As the months go by there's no interruptions, in doing research, I could barely sit down. And get to work on a translation, before they come barging into my office right now. But this, it's completely relaxed, and we have things to do here." he said and they all nodded gently as he looked out, pointing behind him at the shield.
Said that was keeping the water from coming in as they looked out over the area and seeing a iceberg in the distance, and several orcas swimming around and they nodded. "But quite frankly, what's the point of my job there, they never listen to me anyway. And do everything their way, if they want to kill themselves, the hell with it." he said, sitting on one of the containers. "We know and it's alright, you have every right to be angry." Sanderson said gently and he nodded.
"Is she demanding to see me, to make me understand she only did this to protect herself?" he asked and Sanderson nodded. "No matter what they ask here in your case, the answer is no, I transferred you under me, and it's final, but you're safe now. As they can't get you here, no communicator, no access to the ship, just like the kids show." he said and Daniel nodded. "Well that didn't stop their enemies before, why would it the NID now." he said and they nodded.
"Like the kids, you're the strongest young archeologist we have, we're not letting these lunatics get their hands on you, by order of the president, you're not going back. But trying to steal a communicator, to get in is illegal, the ship is programmed to SG program leaders. And joint chiefs only, everyone else is red level, we're blue level, so getting upstairs now. And into the military housing, is doomed failure now." he said and Daniel nodded as he smiled in relief.
"I guess they never expected to hear me say that, I always forgave them before, only now, I decided I'm not bothering with this crap anymore, they betrayed me one too many times. Or that I decided we're enemies now, and enough is enough here?" he asked and Sanderson nodded. "Yes they're in shock here to that revelation, and they see this, as 'what have you become, turn on us, because we only want to protect ourselves'." he said and Daniel nodded.
"What would they have done, if it was their spouse that was the host, I decided after being turned into a half earthling, and decided screw their happiness. Or their spouse's freedom, my safety matters more." he said and Sanderson nodded. "We know and we said that directly, but to them that's not the point, did the technology turn you to the darkside. And I said the answer is no, they just let out the inner monster, by doing this, only the inner monster, is suddenly."
"In truth become Pyrus of her generation, so good, that to them you appear you gone to the darkside now, so that second vision is like, what has that baby done to you. Or can't you see what you become, only you never changed, you grew up, they hadn't. And this is all because you threw them to the wolves here." Captain Alexandra Brand said gently. "They want to protect themselves, time for a reality check, and common sense." he said and she and Addison nodded.
"Captain or Colonel?" he asked and she chuckled. "Captain, my name is Captain Alexandra Brand, Andrea's grandmother." She said and he nodded. "Nice to meet you Captain." he said and she smiled in affection. "Well in age, I'm no older then your parents, so Command, but I'm on Jean's staff at the academy upstairs, I just came from there. The academy is the size of the pentagon, and there's a shuttle bay, with the same circular layout as the moon protection."
"In systems that the kids can practice piloting the shuttles, anyway here now, after putting it like this, they're now convinced you gone to the darkside, you're still addicted to the technology. And Shyla corrupted you, but I said it directly, with Diane with you right now, that that's just their psychosis talking, you're furious at them and you have every right to be." she said and he nodded gently. "They all had total psychotic breakdown." he said and they all nodded sternly.
"We know, and we said that directly, and they're in shock we could care less their opinion on you, this is your job, what you're supposed to do. But if they're not going exert common sense, or listen to genius now, they're being relegated to mobile infantry. They did this to themselves all you had to was show up for it, they'd be like this with whoever. No matter who the archeologist is, it doesn't matter, same thing every time." Sanderson said gently to him then.
"My job gets dangerous on any number of levels, you always knew that, I'm third generation archeologist." he said and he nodded sternly. "We do, and the add ons, Mac told us what you're studying, this process of elimination, it matches everything we see on the media. Without the gory side effects, what if that was the organism that Jones gave Anthony, huh. They could have killed themselves completely, instead of being half earthling." Hancock said sternly to the news.
"Billy and Dillon are here along with their teams, they're inspecting the medical department see how well everything is working right now, and the bio test lab." he added and Daniel nodded as he answered him gently at the remark then. "Well science department makes perfect sense, but here's where the sciences side of this get out of control here. More then other departments, then again, that it's there's where the job just took a dangerous turn, the SGC has research."
"Research and development and mobile infantry, I have military intelligence, and trade and search and retrieval, we're doing this by the book. He loses his temper, he's being arrested right now when on duty, but the more he loses his temper. The more ammunition I have to use against him right now, where you're concerned, but some number episodes. Both next year and year 5 are non canon, year 6, as an ancient, I'm with you now." he said and the trio nodded.
"I take it you tore them a new one, for that, as it's not my fault, they screwed up, may say I need a reality check, but look who's talking, they're ignoring Kynthia deliberately." he said and they and Addison nodded. "We did, and they all paled here, realizing as far we're concerned, if they're not going to exercise common sense, they're being regulated. To the Infantry now, you have the trade and search and retrieval, but better tell them now." Haden said and he nodded.
"First things first here." he said and dialed La Rochelle. "Any guards guarding the ring area, there's a slight change of dating here, but after an assault last week. My return got shoved back 5 weeks, till they have me stabilized, in medical terms, I'm recovering. From severe blood loss, I'm coming for a month, my friends, in blue command 2 weeks now. So with that in mind right now, I'm bringing this years deposit with me, but the chosen for her courts are under arrest."
"Any more stunts, the sentence is that who chose them, if there's a way to clone her, Count Aramis gets her clone, who is carrying the magnetism with her to him." he said and they heard an immediate response. "I hear you Danny and we understand, we will tell that to the quartet, anymore sadistic stunts in your case, we are the prison sentence. See you next month, Dr. Cartier out." he said and Daniel smiled. "You too." he said and they nodded.
"Yeah, there's the new canon now, and the supposed hostage situation results here now, in a repeat, but I had enough of this right now, so they want to continue crossing the line. They get their comeuppance by them returning to the quartet that chose them, it's only fair. The only thing on their mind, with their interrogator instincts, is sex, well now. Is they get an endless supply, but be careful what you wish for, you might just get it." he said and they nodded.
As Daniel pressed the radio to activate the intergalactic broadband, knowing this was being heard all over the galaxy now then. Alerting them to the fact the SGC was no more and Starfleet had risen, to bring a new hope and future to the galaxy then. "To the systems lord duo that came to Earth, did you ever seen a media show, of actors. Said of dressed in two colors, in three different types, of uniforms?" he asked and the said duo nodded, exchanging looks then.
"Well I'm here to announce, they're next generation is really based on us, their grandparents, the primary cast of this show, in the 6 earthborn members. Are part of my new command, that which carries me and Teal'C now, the sole cause of his turning against the serpent now. Is dead now in one area, and we're still waiting for the other to make theie reappearance now finally. But otherwise we're officially retired from the green soldiers, to you that which are SGC tauri."
"So we're now working for the SGA tauri, and we're our real occupations here, as you know how I know your deity and personal host backgrounds now. That the SGC are all full military, and are trying scavenge enough to, after destroying you. Use it against our planet countries, that to which you are from, and I decided I had enough risking life and limb, for that same reason. We ask, you call off our bounty, but keep it on, for Samantha Carter and Jack O'neill, if you will."
"We're retired from the SGC as of now, in working for exploration force, of the SGA, that which activated the gate. Just before Jack O'neill militarized it, and killed Ra, before doing Hathor next." he said and they nodded in understanding, as they heard an understanding remark in goa'uld.
