Three hours! Three hours is how long she and Ginny spent on her hair alone for tonight. Hermione had helped with braiding the younger girl's hair and enchanting her second-hand heels to make them look new. Ginny had insisted that she was in control when it came to getting the both of them ready for the night. The girls had spent the whole time giggling and screaming each time they tried doing anything.
Getting ready was truly fun with Ginny. Everything had started off so great she was sooo happy with the results of all of Ginnys' hard work she honestly felt beautiful. And Ginny looked GEORGES in her champagne dress. When she went to meet Krum she was sooo nervous what if this was just a joke. She found Harry and started talking to him making sure he was ok was somehow calming to her.
She was surprised when he didn't recognize her at first. Did she really look that different? The front doors opened and the students from the other schools entered looking like a scene from an old musical she had watched once with her father. She suddenly became worried Harry didn't recognize her at first what if Krum didn't and walk right past her. But no the moment he saw her he walked right up to her bowed kissed her hand and escorted her to their table.
She had so much fun talking to him although his headmaster was not very thrilled anytime he told her anything about his school. Krum though kept talking asking questions and listening to her. He offered her his desert when she was obsoletely excited about the chocolate torte. She declined but was happy for the gesture. When it was time for the champions and their partners to open the first dance she was soooo scared dancing in front of everyone was not something she had been looking forward to, but the moment Krum no Viktor he had insisted she call him Viktor.
The moment they started dancing everything was fine Brilliant really anytime she thought she was going to fall or trip or step on his feet it was fine he would lift her or hold her steady. When everyone started dancing it was truly fun. it made her think of her block's bonfire party every year they would get their Guy Fawkes to burn than all just dance not very traditional but it what they did. Like she said everything was perfect that is until Viktor went to go and get them drinks. She had gone to talk to Ron and Harry surely they would want to join them. Ron had been wanting to talk to Viktor since he first showed up at Hogwarts she smiled to herself when she spotted them and headed over.
Right now Ron was yelling at her for going to the dance with Viktor calling her a traitor. WHY WHY DID HE WANT TO RUIN THIS HE DIDN'T WANT TO GO WITH HER TILL THERE WAS NO OTHER OPTION SO WHY COULDN'T HE JUST LET HER HAVE A NICE NIGHT! She ran into the crowd to get away from him she was heading to the girl's bathroom if she was smart she would have gone around the large crowed but at this time she was upset and just wanted to get there as soon as possible she suddenly ran into someone she looked up to apologize and be on her way but fuck ,it was Malfoy.
He reached out grabbing onto her and started insulting her as well. What the fuck was with boys this night she barely heard him over the music and getting her wand to jinx his ares but Viktor appeared and actually punched him the blonde prat went flying into a group of dancing youths pushing him away causing him to fall to the ground Pansy ran to him pulling him up with the help of Crabb and Goyle and dragging him away.
Hermione just turned and again headed to the bathroom she just wanted to have a cry why was all this happening. She finally made it there and was greeted by a space of different girls having their own cry or being confronted. Good, she finally made it. After a good cry and fixing herself up silently thanking Brown for suggesting not to wear too much makeup seeing as she didn't wear it often and it always gets messy. She walked out thinking it was probably time to call it a night.
She wanted to find Viktor first though and apologize for the night he was great tonight and didn't deserve his date ditching him. " Granger"? she stopped outside the great hall, who? Theo stood from the Cullom he was sitting by.
" What happened to you, are you ok"? Theo walked over to her wow she must really look a mess she thought she had fixed herself up enough but guess not.
"Nothing really just a night with too much teenage drama" she sighed she crossed her arms over herself. " I'm just going to call it a night" Theo seemed to look her over before he held up his hand to stop her he pulled out his wand-waving it over her feet. " you were wobbling a bit that's why I thought something was wrong but if your good then Ill leave you to it" Theo gave her a smile and wink before turning away and heading off Hermione felt her feet feel a lot better she hadn't even realized that they had hurt till her toes went from feeling pinched and blistered to normal.
She was going to get him the best relaxing oil she could find and a big chocolate cordon cake. She found Viktor standing to the side of the dance floor seeming to be still looking around for her. she felt even worst when he saw her he hurried over asking if she was ok and where she had been she told him she had just needed to get away from everyone. He nodded he asked if he could get her a drink but she shook her head telling him that she was ready to go back to her dorm.
He asked if he could walk her there and she agreed they walked to the stairs that lead to the Gyriffendor tower she turned and thank him and apologized again he just smiled kissed her cheek and asked if it would be ok if he joined her in the library from now on. She couldn't help the smile that crept on her face along with what she hoped was a light blush and told him that she'd like that. She went up to her dorm yelling herself that she should take a shower and get in her PJs but the moment she made it to the common room she saw Harry sitting in front of the fire she walked over and sat beside him resting her head on his shoulder
"are you waiting for Sirius?" she yawned Harry just shrugged and held her hand. " no not really but it's a good idea to check and make sure he's not there waiting to talk to me, sorry about tonight," Harry said scratching the back of his head with his free hand Hermione never understood why he always had to apologize for felt her eyelids drift " not your fault, did you have a good time?" she asked her eyelids felt heavy Harry laughed and told her no not really they sat there for a bit and she let sleep take her. she woke to find that Harry had been replaced with Ginny she woke the girl and the two went to the bathroom for a quick shower then climbed into bed Ginny mumbling that they will be having girl talk in the morning.
