A/N: Hope your enjoying the story so far. As you can see I'm following the storyline pretty close for this season, but if you have suggestions on what could be added or made better let me know! Constructive criticism only please.

It was a shaky take-off. One that everyone was nervous about, but Raven was quick to smooth everything out as they began to move forward toward the ship that was now getting bigger than they thought. Raven turned on the outside camera so they could see better as they approached.

"Boys and girls, meet Eligius IV" She announced reading the words on the side of the ship.

As they continued to get closer they could see more words, Emori reading them aloud. "Powering a better tomorrow."

They discussed the possibilities of it being a mining ship. Monty explaining how in the past, missions were sent of mining asteroids or of other tasks.

"If they were able to get back, then they must have fuel." Bellamy thought out loud.

As they got closer Raven noticed how one of the engines looked damaged or destroyed. Wondering what stories they might have once they docked. After confirming they'd have gravity she began to go over docking procedure.

"There's the docking bay." Emori pointed out on one of the video feeds.

"I hate to ask this now.." Monty spoke up, "What if their still inside?"

"If they were still inside and saw a foreign ship trying to board them, they would shoot us out of the sky." Echo countered trying to keep everyone calm if she could, especially Griffin who looked nervous beside her. Even if the ship was or wasn't manned, she was still glad she decided to bring her sword for extra protection.

"Alright. Commencing operation uninvited guests." Raven said before starting maneuvers to align themselves with the Hap. "Emori, as soon as I line us up, it's all yours."

Emori had been training nonstop with Raven the past six years, wanting to learn and be useful to the group. Raven never saw herself as much of a teacher, but in the end knew it was a good idea in case something were to happen to her, then Emori at least knew the basics to help get them back down. This moment would be her first true test.

"We're in alignment." Emori said in complete concentration even though her nerves were eating away at her. She knew she needed to keep a cool head and focus on the task at hand. Her first time with such an important job and the last thing she wanted to do was disappoint the team and more so herself.

"The nav is yours" Raven said to her, her tone calm and encouraging "It's just like the simulator."

"Copy that" Emori said before taking over the controls.

"Grounders don't say copy that." Murphy chimed in, Emori mostly ignoring him.

"Initiating docking sequence."

As the boosters began to move them in they started to get off course.

"We are so screwed." Murphy commented again.

"Shut up John" Emori replied already annoyed with his attitude.

"Why are we losing alignment?" Raven asked as Emori started to get flustered.

"We're coming in too fast! Ok, I got. Switching back to manual." Raven cut in before grabbing the controls again to hopefully re-align them and make the landing as smooth as possible.

Alarms started to go off as Raven tried to correct them. Monty and Harper grabbed hands as Bellamy and Echo both placed a protective hand over Griffin who just sat there wide-eyed. Raven pulled on the stick as hard as she could to get them back on course but they showed no sign of fixing alignment and told them all to brace for impact. Thrusting forward they flew into the Hap and landed with a hard thud.

"Well that was fun. Let's do it again sometime." Murphy said sarcastically as everyone took a moment to breathe and unbuckle themselves.

Bellamy pulled his helmet off first before helping Griffin pull off his. Everyone else followed suit and began to open the hatch to get out.

"Let's go find that fuel." Bellamy said as he was the first to go, saying they would take off their suits in the cargo hold. One by one they climbed down and neatly placed their suits together so if there needed to be a quick grab and go it would be an easier process.

As they walked out of the hold they could hear a distant alarm going off, no doubt due to their unexpected arrival. Echo unsheathed her sword and looked at Bellamy who was ready to tell her to put it away, but she responded with a look of her knowing that it was just a precaution for whatever they were about to walk into. Bellamy opened the door and the alarm grew louder.

"Well that's just annoying." Murphy commented as he followed behind Raven.

"If someone was here, they'd shut it off right?" Harper asked reinforcing the thought that they were indeed alone.

As Emori started to walk out Raven stopped her and suggested she stay behind to run a diagnostic check. After the harsh landing they had they needed to know if the pod took any damage. Murphy offered to stay with her and help with which Emori said, "How, by making stupid little jokes?"

"Don't take it out on me because you screwed the pooch on your big debut ok?" Murphy defended his bad behavior.

Bellamy pulled Murphy back to stop the impending fight and suggested Harper stay behind to help instead. After that agreement was made he knelt down in front of Griffin.

"Hey buddy I want you to stay here with Emori and Harper ok? Just while we go check things out. We'll be back soon." He said in a softer tone, hand on the boy's cheek.

"But I wanna go with you guysss." He whined.

"Hey, I could always use an assistant and I think you would be perfect. Can even sit in my co-captain chair what do you say?" Emori offered trying to help.

Griffin thought it over a moment before nodding and walking back over to the pod with Emori, Harper following close behind and closing the door behind them as the rest went to go deal with the alarm and check out just what they were dealing with.

They took multiple turns and walked down a few halls before Bellamy commented on it being like a maze. Echo beside him as she eyed each turn, hand gripping her sword and ready to strike at a moment's notice. Taking another turn he reached a door and turned his flashlight over it to read it better. A sign saying 'NO INMATES PAST THIS POINT'.

"Prison labor" Monty said when Echo glanced back confused at the word inmate. "The mining missions were dangerous. They sent people they thought were disposable."

"Sounds Familiar"

"Relax" Raven said moving ahead of the group. "Our ancestors were prisoners a hundred years ago. Their descendants on that transport are survivors, just like us."

As they finally reached the bridge it wasn't hard to notice a hole in the door. From what they could guess someone had blown it open. They all carefully moved in, Raven immediately went toward the computers.

"Something bad happened here." Bellamy said plainly as Monty hurried over to help Raven.

After a few seconds the alarm finally stopped. Their ears adjusted to the now silent ship as they continued to survey the room.

"Fuel systems..Got it." Monty announced as he got into their logs. Everyone gathered around.

"They're storing Hytholodium." Raven said looking at the screens.

"Must be what they were mining for." Monty offered as he looked with her.

"Can we use it to land the pod or not?" Murphy interjected growing impatient as he sat in one of the chairs.

Raven responded with "Sure, if you want to explode every cell in your body."

She continued to work explaining that with the dropship being short range they'd have to have other fuel for it. Another screen lit up showing an area stored with the Hydrazine they were looking for. Things were beginning to look up for them as they confirmed they now had a safe way down.

"That's not all we have." Monty interrupted before flipping a switch and voices filled the room. "Lasercom"

"Our radios were blocked by residual radiation. But lasercom was designed to cut through worse atmospheric conditions than that." He finished explaining as they listened to the voices coming through.

Murphy came closer, genuine curiosity on his face, "Well can we talk to them?"

Bellamy stopped him, "Wait, we don't know who we're dealing with."

Movement to the Northwest. McCreary do you see it? One of the voices said drawing all of their attention once more.

I've got something better. Tracks. Another responded.

"They're hunting our people." Raven looked back at them all with concern. Imagining their friends being chased after like animals.

"Whatever this is, Octavia can handle it." Echo reassured, knowing that the leader of the bunker would do whatever it took to take care of them all.

Raven moved over to Monty and took over at his desk. When asked what she was doing she simply said she was going to find out who they were dealing with once and for all. As she typed they heard more commotion over the radio and what sounded like shots. It was confirmed when one of the voices from before came through again.

Mcreary we heard gunfire, report...I said report McCreary.

After a moment came

Relax. I told you we'd get her, and we did. She's a feisty one, pretty too.

Good work. Bring her to me.

Everyone looked to Bellamy who had a look of rage growing. "We need to get down there, now."

Immediately they split up to get work done faster. Monty and Murphy went to go get the fuel and Echo followed in case any surprises were awaiting them. Meanwhile Raven and Bellamy were searching the computer systems for any information they could find on the people who had invaded their home and was now threatening their people. They just hoped the diagnostic on the pod didn't have any significant damage and they could quickly take off as soon as they were ready.

Meanwhile Emori finally emerged from the pod to a pacing Harper. Griffin sitting inside, still pretending he was the pilot and making rocket noises.

"All systems check out. No thanks to me." She said disappointed in herself.

"It was your first time at the controls. Stop beating yourself up over it" Harper offered trying to help make her feel better.

"I kicked John out.." Emori started taking a breath, "Because he never did anything to help us get home. But when it really mattered, I'm the one who almost got us all killed." She finished in a softer and slightly quieter tone as not to scare Griffin who might be listening.

Harper put a comforting hand on her shoulder before offering her small piece of advice, "Maybe he deserves a second chance too."

And just like that Murphy, Monty, and Echo came rushing in with a tank of fuel, Murphy saying it was time to go. Monty asking Harper for a siphon. Echo asked Monty if he could handle fueling them up so she could warn Raven and Bellamy about what they saw and didn't give them much time for other questions as she took off. Griffin only saw her back as she dissapeared and called out for her.

"Mom wait!" He tried to get up and chase after her but was stopped by Harper.

"C'mon buddy, come help me and Monty yea?"

Seeing everyone in a rush made him nervous and he simply stepped back and looked down.

"What's going on?" Emori asked as they got to work on fueling up the pod.

Monty tried his best to explain how all the prisoners were still on board, in what was called Cryosleep. How someone could go to sleep, and practically be frozen in time. With the main prisoners down below they needed to finish up fueling and get down as quick as they could so they could help their people. Monty took the siphon Harper got for him and started to connect the fuel to the pod and get it going.

As they waited for that process to finish Murphy got antsy and didn't want to wait any longer for the three to come back so he offered to go get them, ignoring the objection from Monty about staying here.

"Where's mom and dad?" Griffin asked, his small voice seeming even smaller as he started to get scared. Not fully understanding what was happening and he tried to follow along to what he could hear from conversations but none of it made sense to him.

Emori knelt down in front of him and mustered up as much big sister energy as she could to try and keep his spirits up.

"Hey it's ok, they're just making sure we are all clear to get back down is all. John went to go get them and bring them back so they should be here real soon." She explained to him and stayed eye level with him to make sure he understood. It only took a few seconds before he was nodding and she nodded with him giving a warm smile.

Once they finished refueling Murphy rounded the corner with Echo. Griffin was quick to run over and throw his arms around her. She returned the hug with one of her arms as she made sure to hide the blade behind her back with the others so he wouldn't see the remaining remnants of blood on it from the prisoner she stabbed who had attacked them. She had done her best to clean it off but wanted to be safe either way.

"We need to get ready to go. Bellamy and Raven will be here shortly." She rushed out as she started walking with Griffin toward their suits.

She spoke to him softly but hurriedly, "Alright kiddo, let's get you back in your suit alright?" Thankfully Emori took the blade from her and loaded it onto the pod so that she could use both hands to help him, but Griffin swatted her away most of the time trying to be a big boy and dress himself.

They all worked quickly and quietly, knowing that they needed to be focused and sure that everything they needed was loaded onto the pod so they could leave the moment Raven and Bellamy had joined them. Monty and Harper had just finished helping each other zip up when Bellamy strolled in.

"Alright, let's do this."

They looked around noticing that Raven still hadn't shown up. Emori asked where she was so they could get out of here.

"It's technical but um, someone has to run things from here." He explained meaning that Raven was staying behind.

"So let it be John." Emori exclaimed refusing to leave someone more valuable behind.

Monty then moved forward saying he would do it instead and stay behind. Harper started to go after him objecting but Bellamy was quick to hold out his arm and stop him himself.

"Enough." Bellamy said calm but firm. "It has to be her, once we have a truce she will come down with the other prisoners. If we fail, there's an escape pod she can take." He explained looked at each of them. "Either way she will be fine."

Emori stammered about how she couldn't do this solo, but Bellamy just reassured her it would all be fine before walking to grab his suit and telling the others to load up. Slowly everyone turned and started into the pod, except Murphy who was walking the opposite way.

"Now Murphy." Bellamy said using a more authoritative voice.

"I'm staying too." Murphy said simply. Everyone giving him questioning looks. "Look, Raven might need back up. Plus with Emori flying, this is the survivors move." He cracked one final joke before hitting the button to seal the doors and walked off to the main control room where no doubt he would find Raven.

Griffin walked forward, Bellamy was quick to catch the boy and turned him to see tears pooling in his eyes.

"Daddy we can't leave them. I don't want them to stay..We're a family aren't we?" He asked his voice trembling slightly.

Bellamy gave a look to everyone else to keep going and start up the pod. He kneeled down in front of Griffin and put a hand to his cheek. "That's right we are family. And nothing is gonna change that. Right now they need to stay behind so they can make sure that it's safe for us when we get to the ground. It's not goodbye though, we will see them again real soon. Do you believe me?"

The boy nodded and sniffled, "I believe you."

Together they closed the pod door and took their seats as Emori started the ship and began procedures of getting them back home.
