A/N: Besides the computer in the first few sentences and the radio talk, Trig is in Italics.

19,000 Meters The computer said as they hurtled toward the Earth.

18,000 Meters

17,000 Meters

"Ok.." Emori took shaky breaths as she started to go over what Raven had taught her the past six years.

"Just breathe." Bellamy encouraged, everyone else silently praying they wouldn't crash.

Emori nodded and readied one of the switches, "Firing cold gas thrusters to initiate roll manuever."

They could feel the pod turn, the thrusters coming to life and rumbling the pod more than it already was. Griffin letting out a small cry as he was jostled around in his seat, Echo holding him tightly. "Computer, light boostback engines."

Boostback engines in 3, 2, 1

The ground came closer and closer.

2,000 Meters

"Deploy landing legs."

Landing legs deployed. Grid fins activated

"Here we go!" Emori warned everyone.

200 Meters

The pod started to slow more and more and after a few seconds they felt themselves land solidly on the ground. The shaking coming to a stop.

Vertical landing successful The computer announced. They all took a moment to look at each other and catch their breaths as they came to the realization that they were finally back on the ground. They were home.

"You did it." Harper said trying to sound more congratulatory than surprised as she started to take off her helmet. Monty and Echo following suit.

"Emori.." Bellamy called to her noticing the scared look on her face that even though they landed safely, she still did something wrong.

"Emori!" He called again a little louder bringing her back to reality and she pulled off her helmet before looking over to him trying to catch her breath.

"We didn't die." Was all she said as the corners of her mouth began to pull up into a smile.

Bellamy smiled back at her and even let out a laugh, "No. No we didn't."

She joined him and gave a laugh of her own. Echo was quick to cut the party short, "We'll celebrate once Murphy and Raven are down too. There's no telling how many people saw us, we need to take cover in the trees before they get here."

All were in agreement as they unbuckled, opened the hatch, and made their way out. Taking their suits off along the way.

"I don't like that ride anymore.." Griffin mumbled as he tried regaining his balance a moment.

"Me either." Monty said patting him on the back as they climbed down the ladder, helping Griffin above him and making sure he didn't lose his footing.

After a small head count to make sure they were all together and ready to go they started to walk away from the ship and toward the trees, moving carefully and constantly scanning their surroundings.

"It's so quiet." Harper commented as they walked. Only the sound of bugs could be heard in the distance.

As they reached the treeline at least six men came out holding guns at them. "Everybody on your knees!"

Griffin immediately hid behind Echo who simply told him, "It's ok, just do what we say and stay behind me." She held her sword out ready for anything.

"It's ok, It's ok!" Bellamy held his hands up and gestured to Echo for her to lower the sword, "We don't want to fight. We just want to talk!"

One of them got on their radio, "Colonel, we have five more hostiles, at least one is armed. Are we still playing nice?" They asked eyeing everyone.

They waited a few seconds before a voice came through, Stand By.

They continued to hold their guns steady, Echo watching them all and sizing them up in case things got ugly. It wasn't long before the same voice came through again.

Four of ours are dead. It's time to even the score.

Bellamy went wide eyed and glanced back at Griffin hiding behind Echo and Emori.

"Congratulations." One of the prisoners said, "One of you gets to live."

As one of them made a step forward a spear came out of nowhere and pierced him in the neck. The only sound coming from him was a gurgle as he collapsed to the ground and died within seconds. The others didn't have much time to react as someone came charging out of the dark, gun in their hand as they fired at the prisoners. Two were shot down and the other three fled back into the trees to wherever they had come from.

As they looked closer they noticed it was a child. Older than Griffin but still young enough to be considered such. As they all watched her they notcied she was only staring at one of them.

"Bellamy?" She asked surprising them all by how she knew his name. "Clarke knew you would come."

That last sentence shocked them even more. All processing that information in their own way as they tried to think of the possibility that she had somehow survived Praimfaya. They knew she had turned herself into a Nightblood, but the results hadn't looked promising as she showed signs of the radiation sickness. And after having to leave her behind and having no way of knowing what became of her, it was easier to assume the worst case scenario.

"Clarke's alive?" He asked not taking his eyes off of her.

"She's in trouble, we have to go." The girl urged as she started to walk back the way she came.

Monty stepped forward, "What about the others in the bunker?"

"Still there." Was her only response.

Bellamy had trouble digesting the information but instead she pulled on his arm saying she would explain on the way and started moving quickly. Everyone following closely behind. Echo carried Griffin piggyback style so they could move faster and not worry about him falling behind. His small hands clutched around her neck tightly, but not so tight as to where he would choke her or inconvenience her movement.

It didn't take long to get to the rover she had hidden nearby, something Monty was happy to see, thinking back on the memories of driving around with the group. They all loaded in and the girl, Madi, started to drive and immediately went into how she knew them. About how she was the only one of Shallow Valley to survive the death wave and was found by Clarke. She didn't bother going over the bit where she tried to kill her at first, but told them of how Clarke saved her and took care of her the past six years. She also mentioned the stories she told of them all. Skaikru and how they fought to keep themselves alive.

"If Clarke is in trouble we need a plan, we can't just go barging in. We don't even know how many had come down." Echo said mostly to Bellamy.

"There's too many of them, at least a couple dozen." Madi offered.

"Alright, we make an offer then. One they can't refuse." Bellamy started as he reached into his bag for the mug he found earlier, one that was in the video Raven had found of the prisoners taking over the ship. Surely if the woman in that video was the one in charge, she would understand the threat and hopefully the two could come to an agreement that kept anyone from getting killed. Especially Clarke.

"Everyone will stay back, I'll go talk with them and see what terms we can make that will benefit us all, including getting everyone out of the bunker." He finished. Looking back at everyone to make sure they agreed. They all nodded and that was that. Madi gave her own nervous nod and continued driving until they started to pull into the valley. Headlights shining ahead, showing all of the prisoners who were now looking in their direction.

Deadly looks and mutters as Bellamy saw the woman, and behind a figure on the ground he couldn't' quite make out yet but judging by the situation he was sure it had to be Clarke. Madi went straight for her gun and Bellamy placed his hand out to stop her.

"Madi no. take the rover back, that's the plan. I won't let anything happen to Clarke, I promise." He told her softly.

The woman shouted to them, "Come out with your hands high!"

Bellamy gave one last look to everyone before climbing out of the rover. They all watched as he held up one of his hands, "Unarmed. Just want to talk."

"Talk? Give me one good reason not to kill you where you stand." The woman said as guns were pointed at him.

"How about I give you 283? That's how many of your people are going to die, if you and I can't make a deal." He simply replied as he held up his other hand, holding the mug up high for her to see clearly. To show that he knew who they were and they knew about all the other prisoners currently sleeping on their ship. He turned slightly to glance back at the rover and held up his fist. Madi took the signal and started reversing the rover out of the valley and away.

Once they were far enough into the woods Madi slowed the rover to a stop. Echo helped scan the area to make sure they weren't followed. Once it was clear she nodded to the rest and they all relaxed a bit. Griffin had finally felt the full effects of the day and had fallen asleep in Harpers lap during the drive.

"Madi, what can you tell me so far about these people?" Echo asked wanting to get as much information about them to try and get any advantage.

She thought a moment, "All I know is they have guns, lots of them. And they're pretty scary looking." She noted as some of them had their bodies covered in tattoos. "Clarke had been watching them as close as possible before she got caught and we had to split up. I'm sorry I don't know more."

"That's okay. Guns tells us plenty, they have the firepower. Depending on how Bellamy's negotiations go, it's important to know how the enemy is armed." She explained.

Looking up at the sky and seeing the moon and stars' position she knew it was late. "Should try and get some rest. I'll take first watch, Monty I'll wake you for second." She offered knowing that if anything were to happen, they'd all need their strength. Madi began to argue but Echo was quick with, "If anything happens I will wake you, but I'm sure Clarke would want you to get some rest."

They got as comfortable as they could before closing their eyes. Harper leaning against Monty, Griffin still laying in her lap as Echo sat up front to keep an eye out for anyone lingering nearby. Madi curled up in the driver seat and Emori slouched in her spot with arms crossed. Once she was sure everyone would be ok, she quietly stepped out of the rover so that she could keep a better eye. The cold air was welcome as she still tried to wrap her head around being back home. Even the ground felt different, but that could also be due to having spent six years in a metal container in space. Part of her would miss being up there, but ultimately she was relieved and happy to be home.

After a few hours had gone by, Echo woke Monty for his turn at watch. And so it went until it was Emori's turn and so on until morning. As the sun broke over the horizon they all listened and then watched as the giant ship took to the sky and disappeared into the distance. They all stretched their sore muscles as they stood by the rover to go over details of the day.

"Assuming Bellamy made peace just now, they'll be working on opening the bunker. Harper we should try and get some food," Echo offered but Madi cut in with, "I can help! I know which berries are in season right now, you'll like them." She smiled trying to be helpful so she wouldn't worry about Clarke as much. Echo agreed and offered her to go with Harper.

"Monty, do you think we could get the radio going in the rover? Try and get in contact with anyone in the bunker or even Bellamy?" Even if the enemy could hear them she needed to know what was happening out there.

He thought for a moment, "I'll see what modifications Clarke made to it, if I need to I'm sure I can scrap some parts from the Pod." It was enough for her and let him go.

"What can I do?" Griffin's small voice piped up behind her. She turned to see him with his small backpack on and ready to go. She couldn't help but smile at his eagerness of wanting to help. She picked him up and sat him on the hood of the rover. "You my mighty warrior, are going to stay here with Emori and keep an eye out for any bad guys. Think you can do that for me?"

"I can do that!" He nodded excitedly and a bit too loudly causing Echo to gently shush him and teach him that he needed to be careful not to shout too loud. After taking the few seconds to learn about keeping noise at a good volume, he then turned serious taking his new mission seriously and began to look around, Emori coming to stand beside him with a smile. Occasionally she went into a game of 'I spy' with him just so he wouldn't get bored and to help keep his eyes sharp.

They all went to their respective tasks, Echo tasking herself with walking up a bit further to help with perimeter watch and keeping themselves safe from any intruders. Looking up at the sky where the ship disappeared she could only hope. Bellamy you better come back to me.
