A/N: Apologies for not uploading in awhile. I was a bit salty with this chapter after having written some decent paragraphs, only to try and save and the page reload after taking too long and losing those paragraphs. Hopefully it wont happen again, also sorry for the shorter chapter. Enjoy!

Trig is in Italics

It took some time to explain to Griffin what was happening. And how he and mom were going on their own for awhile. After some tears and clinging to his Uncle Monty and Aunt Harper, he finally calmed enough to listen to his father Bellamy and understand in a way that they were doing this to be safe. And that once it was ok, the rest of them would follow and they would all be together again.

"Alright Griffin I need you to listen real close. Do you remember the game we used played on the Ring? Stranger Danger?" Echo asked in a light tone to keep from scaring him again and causing another freakout. For such a tiny body he held alot of emotions and it pained her and Bellamy to see him go through the bad ones.

He thought a moment before nodding his head. "I ramember"

"Ok good, can you tell me the rules again?" Echo asked him waiting patiently for him to respond.

"I only speak in Trig and talk to no one but mommy and daddy." He said holding his hands in front of himself nervously.

Bellamy smiled at him to encourage him, "That's right. And do you remember the special rule?"

Another moment as he thought. "I only talk to them if they know the secret word!" He said smiling now, happy to see them all smiling as well.

"Perfect. Just stick with mom alright?" Bellamy reminded him before picking him up and giving one last hug, although to Bellamy he felt as if he was clinging to his child. Not ready to let him go and worried about the possibilities of not seeing him again. Knowing that it was almost time to go he placed a kiss to the top of his head one last time before reluctantly setting him back down.

Monty and Harper gave their own final hug and kept the mood light as they talked about all the games they would play as soon as they joined him in the Valley.

The sky rumbled as the transport ship had returned. Horns sounding around them to signal its return. Others shouting that it was back, while some whispered about getting ready to board.

They all said their final goodbyes and holding Griffin's hand Echo took off. "Stay close to me" She reminded him once more.

He kept up with her the best he could as his other hand held his teddy, refusing to leave without it. They came across a couple hiding off to the side that Echo had spoken to earlier. Karina and Tarik.

"Good, your still here. The others are already leaving, stay with me. We'll be ok" She told them before heading back out into the open. The couple right beside her.

As they started running, more and more people appeared, ready to leave and defect. As the ship came into view and landed they started running faster. Griffin struggling to keep up but still held onto her hand tightly as she held his just as tight. They were halfway when a shot rang out and Tarik fell to the ground, his girlfriend crying out as she watched him die within seconds.

"Come on!" Echo shouted at her grabbing her with her other hand to get her to keep moving. They were shooting the defectors even though Octavia had called off the patrols. Not willing to risk it she threw Griffin into her arms and kept running. More shots.

"Mommy what's happening?!" Griffin asked as he put his hands over his ears at all the loud sounds happening around him.

More shots, this time one of them going into Karina's back. She lurched forward from the impact and Echo caught her the best she could and straddled her with her other arm, trying to get them all safely onto the ship.

Once the remaining few were on the ship, the doors closed and they were off. Prisoners soon showed up and started herding them down the halls further into the ship. Echo set Griffin down so she could focus on helping Karina walk. He stuck to her side like glue.

"Move it. All the way down to the end." One prisoner shouted.

"Up against that wall."

They did as told as Echo let go of Griffin's hand so she could keep Karina upright as she bled from the wound in her back. The girl crying about losing Tarik.

As they all finished standing against the wall as told, Echo noticed that some of them were going down the line and searching them. Taking things that looked of value or simply if they wanted it. Glancing down to her bracelet Monty made to hide the drive in, she knew she was at risk of losing it.

"Got any weapons? Anything shiny?" They asked as they now stood in front of Echo. Griffin trying to hold onto her leg to stay as close as possible as he stared up at the scary woman asking them questions.

"Nothing. She needs a doctor." Echo responded as Karina could no longer stand and they sunk to the floor. She held her bloody hand harder on the wound.

"Quiet." The prisoner said before lifting Echo to her feet and turning her around before frisking her and checking all of her pockets. She then whipped her back around roughly and her eyes immediately went to the bracelet and began tearing it off of her wrist.

Just as she did Colonel Diyoza walked in, "Parker, that's enough!"

"She's been shot." Echo quickly said to them as she came back to Karina's side. As they moved closer she saw that Kane was with her and gave him a short glance.

He was quick to come over and give a short assessment, reassuring her to keep pressure on the wound. "Abby will treat it once we get to the ground." He told her.

"We appreciate the risk you've all taken." Diyoza started. "But until we get to know you better.."

That's when a few more prisoners appeared, all holding what looked like the shock collar Murphy had around his neck when he escaped them. Echo let them put hers on willingly, but when they reached for Griffin she shook her head.

"Please, he's just a child." She begged them.

Kane stood and shared a look with Diyoza, no doubt offering his own pleading. After a moment she nodded with a ceratin look on her face Echo couldn't quite decipher yet.

"Leave the kid be. Let's get home." She told them.

Kane spoke quietly with her about the collars and she simply shrugged him off and told him it was only a precaution. She then walked off, Kane lingering a moment before following after her.

Once all prisoners were gone or out of sight. Echo looked down at Karina, who was now passed out from the blood loss, and dug into the wound as lightly as she could. After a second she held the drive she had hidden inside of her in her hand. She realized this was going to be a bit harder than she thought.

Meanwhile back at Polis, Bellamy and Clarke had found that it was Cooper who had shot the defectors. And quickly learned that Octavia had given them the order. Making their way into the bunker they watched as Madi was recruited into Wonkru. Clarke ran down to her, while Bellamy stayed where he was as Octavia walked up.

"We had a deal." He started angrily but kept his voice calm. "You said you would let them go."

"I said I'd let Echo go, and I did." She replied as if there was no issue to begin with.

"You murdered your own people." His tone rose as his emotions started to get the better of him. "Griffin went with Echo, what if she had shot him! My son!"

"I executed traitors. And I made it look like a real defection." She started to walk past him but stopped to add, "Do you really think Diyoza would believe Echo's story if I just let them go?"

She took a pause before adding, "Let me know when the eye is down." Then took her leave to her room. Mentally solidifying her decisions and telling herself this is the way it needed to happen.

She would have that Valley, whatever it took.
