"Mmmm…"

Weiss woke up to the sound of seagulls. She opened her eyes to see the bright blue sky above her.

She sat up, rubbing her head. She felt something hot underneath her. She looked down to see that she had been lying on sand. She looked around to see that she was on an island.

BGM: The Great Sea (The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker)

Weiss had found a boat through the fog. She hoisted sail and used her wind magic to make the boat sail through the ocean, heading straight for Eventide as best she could.

As she sailed through the water, she noticed that the more she went through the fog, it was getting thicker. Blacker. Darker.

"What the heck…?" She wondered, squinting her eyes as the only thing that was visible to her was the boat she was on and the water underneath her.

However, as she went further, it was getting dark enough to where she couldn't even see her own hand, even when she tried to cast flames to light her way… and yet, she knew she was conscious.

Whatever was going on, she was ready to face it head on and save Lurelin from whatever fog this was.

She then felt light headed… before she passed out.

"To you who have traveled to this island… I present you with a challenge. In your travels, you've relied on the equipment and magic you've found along the way. Here, you must cast this equipment and magic aside and face this trial with only your wits and whatever you can scavenge."

"Wait… what do you mean by-...?"

She looked down, seeing that she was wearing nothing but a bra and panties.

At Lurelin…

"How often does this fog roll in?" Winter asked.

"About six hours or so… no one knows why it comes from Eventide." Ghira explained. "But I can assure you that-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Weiss?!" Winter immediately sprang into action.

"Wait!" Ghira grabbed her arm. "It's too dangerous!"

"I don't care. My sister needs help!"

Back with her…

"ALRIGHT, WHO'S THE DAMN PERVERT?!" Weiss demanded. "COME OUT SO I CAN FILET YOU LIKE A FISH!" She yelled, only to realize she didn't have any weapons on her as she picked up a stick. "Or… poke you to death while also poking your eyes out. Whatever I feel like doing first!"

She let out a sigh. "Whatever. Just figure out what this trial is and then I can get my weaponry back." She said as she tried to conjure up a glyph or some ice, but nothing came out. "...Okay, sealing my magic… good to know."

"Offer up the orbs to the three altars on this island. Only then will I acknowledge your skill and return your items and magic."

"Ugh… sure…"

BGM: Outset Island (The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

She took a few steps, and to her dismay, the sand was hot.

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow OW!"

She hopped into the sea to cool down her feet, then noticed there was a thick fog ring around her. She looked up to see clear skies with the sun beating down on the island.

Okay… I don't know what's going on here but given the fact that I'm practically naked and fending for myself here, I should probably be glad that I'm alone here.

She heard laughter as she turned her head to see a few oblivious Bokoblins minding their business around a campfire.

Never mind. Her eye twitched.

She then rubbed her chin, realizing that the Bokoblins were blissfully unaware of her presence, despite the fact she screamed like a Poe a few moments ago.

She held her stick and with a smirk, she could easily try and stab them… but it was also blunt so the worst she could do is poke their eyes out.

She turned toward the grass on the island and with a deep breath, she ran through the sand.

"Hot hot hot hot… hot hot hot…! Aaaah…"

Her feet welcomed the cooler embrace of the grass beneath her as she knelt down, looking for something to sharp the stick to do some damage. "Let's see, there's got to be something out here that I can use…"

She looked around in the grass, crawling forward. "Let's see… a dagger… a sharp rock…? Anything would do…"

Her head bumped into something.

"Oh!" She looked up… to see a skeleton. "Ack!" She jumped as she looked at the skeleton lying against a tree, holding a broken sword and a bent shield. She glanced to the side and saw multiple skeletons lying about, a few of them lying in a murky swamp.

"Oh my Hylia… are these the missing people Ghira was talking about…?" She wondered.

She noticed someone leaning against the tree, seeing skin on the side. She smiled and approached the person, nudging him slightly. "Excuse me, sir? Wake up… I'm trying to figure out-"

The head rolled off as it had rotted for a short while.

"AAAAAH!" She yelped as the stench was enough to make her stomach do cartwheels. She sat down, her eyes widened as she paled.

"They all died on this island… with nothing to protect them…"

It then dawned on her.

If she didn't find a way out, she'd be next.

She clenched her fists. "No. I'm going to find a way to get the heck out of here."

Crack boooooom!

She looked off into the distance, seeing a thunderstorm was approaching.

She turned around and walked the other way, picking up the broken sword and started to sharpen the stick. She then swung the sword into the tree to get the rest of the metal off of the hilt.

She knelt down to pick it up, grabbing some vine and wrapping it around, creating a homemade spear.

"Don't worry, Ruby. I'm not gonna become part of the island." She declared as lightning flashed in the sky as rain started to fall.

The Bokoblins danced around in the rain without a care in the world, not caring that the fire had been extinguished.

A Bokoblin picked up its skewer to try and eat a fish… only to get impaled by Weiss from behind.

BGM: Song of Storms (Super Smash Bros Brawl)

The other Bokoblins yelped in surprise as Weiss removed her weapon. The Bokoblins roared as they took her on, but Weiss gracefully twirled the spear around and smacked them around as she stabbed the spear on the ground and used her momentum to spin around, using her feet to kick the Bokoblins until she gracefully jumped off, taking the spear with her as she flipped it around and stabbed the Bokoblin in the face.

She skid across the sand, turning around and faced the other Bokoblins, swinging her spear around until they were defeated. She grabbed a fish skewer and ate the fish as she ran off, putting the skewer on her back.

She dove through the woods, slowly finding a small fort of Bokoblins wandering around, not caring about the rain pouring down on them. A few seeked sheltered but the others danced about happily.

Weiss noticed a pile of rocks near by as she picked one up and threw it, smacking a Bokoblin in the head. It let out a cry as a goose egg appeared on its head. It turned around and picked up its bow. It slowly approached the grass with a glare and a tear running down its cheek.

Once the Bokoblin got closer and no one else was looking, Weiss ambushed him and pulled him inside, putting her hand over his mouth. She tried to snap his neck, but to her dismay, she wasn't exactly strong enough to snap a neck…

Though she did manage to dislocate its jaw.

She grabbed the bow and pulled it around its neck, then started pulling, using her feet to pin his arms down as the Bokoblin struggled… before it fell limp.

With a satisfied nod, she pulled the bow away and grabbed the arrows from its quiver, then she aimed and fired arrows, striking the Bokoblins one by one as they fell to their deaths. Weiss went over to retrieve the arrows and then climbed up the stairs, finding more arrows in a chest… while also coming across an orange orb.

"Hmm?" She wondered as she stared at it before picking it up and walking off with it. She found the platform for it in the water as she tossed it into the water, jumped in and pushed it across until she pushed it out.

She dove back into the water and went back in, though she slipped on some mud and fell, but she got back up. She was not going to let the elements knock her down. In fact, she took some of the mud and drew lines underneath her eyes.

She walked through the island until she found a sleeping Blue Hinox not bothered by the rain. She also spotted an orb on his chest. She rubbed her chin in thought and looked at her spear. Lightning flashed in the sky as she had an idea.

She slowly climbed up on the Hinox's skin, the latter scratching himself thinking it was just a mosquito. She got on his belly and planted the spear around his pelvic area, tying it up with a vine with the pointed tip pointing up before crawling over to unhook the orb off of his neck.

Weiss rolled it off his body and hopped off, then kicked it away as she turned around and backed up with a shit eating grin. She whistled to get its attention. The Hinox woke up… and just when he was about to get up, a lightning bolt crashed down into the spear, causing searing agonizing pain to where it couldn't even stand up.

She hummed as she pulled the spear away and walked off with the orb in hand. The Hinox tried to reach for her, but she was far enough away from him that he couldn't get her. All he could do was cry out in agony, losing the ability to walk as it tried its best but couldn't.

Weiss turned her head as she simply pulled her eye socket down and stuck her tongue out before she turned around and took the orb to the platform.

She then made her way to the top of the mountain, seeing a group of Bokoblins and Moblins minding their own business. She pulled out her bow and fired a few arrows at the Moblin to knock it down, startling the Bokoblins.

One Bokoblin pulled out its horn and blew into it as the Bokoblins raised their weapons and charged ahead as Weiss charged in, swinging her spear into them. A few Bokoblins managed to hit her with their weapons, leaving a few scrapes on her as she stabbed the spear into the ground and jumped back as some blood trickled down her cheek.

The Bokoblins smirked as one Bokoblin picked up the spear and raised it up eye, letting out a war cry similar to "CHAAAARGE!"...

…And then another lightning bolt came down and fried everyone on the spot while Weiss was a safe distance away.

She walked over to pick up her spear and walked away from the fried Bokoblins as she pushed off some stone tablets to find a platform for the orb nearby. She picked it up and walked over to put it down, activating it.

At that moment, a shrine rose up from the ground at the highest point.

"You've done well to complete the trial. I will now return your things, as I promised."

An aura surrounded the Lanayran, where her clothing, armor and weapons returned to her, alongside her magic that was reactivated.

"Come, enter the shrine."

Weiss nodded, using Revali's Gale to fly up to the shrine and walked inside.

BGM: Shrine (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Korgu Chideh. By entering this place, you've already proven your worth."

Korgu Chide's Blessing

Weiss walked up to the chest, opening it up and finding a Gold Rupee for her troubles, then she walked over to collect her Spirit Orb.

Weiss walked out, hopping down from the cliff and walked by. Her dragon tattoo on her arm glowed as she casually aimed her hand and unleashed a draconic fire blast from her hand, putting the poor Hinox out of its misery.

"My my, you've improved over the last century."

Weiss turned her head, seeing a figure approach her.

"Who are you?"

"Who am I? Oh, you do not remember me? That is to be expected after you were put into the Shrine of Resurrection. A place where I could not finish the job."

"Did you put me in there?" Weiss demanded.

"Who can tell?" The man chuckled.

"You didn't answer my first question, you hooded weirdo!"

"Ah, where are my manners? I am Astor, a follower of Calamity Ganon… and one who used the dark arts to make myself immortal. After that girlfriend of yours struck me down with that damnable Triforce after I had thought of you perishing, I hid away to repair myself. And in turn… I gained immortality."

"News flash… nobody is truly invincible. They always have a weakness."

Astor smirked. "How wise you are. You truly are capable of holding the Triforce of Wisdom…"

"What are you even talking about?"

"What am I even talking about indeed…" Astor chuckled as he turned around. "I should kill you right here, but… I would say it wouldn't be as fun without the Blade of Evil's Bane. True, I may sound stupid just waiting for you to pick that up and strike me down… but I've found a way to prevent myself from getting one shot by that nasty sword."

He smirked devilishly. "I look forward to our meeting once more."

"Were you responsible for those people in the woods?"

Astor chuckled. "You truly are the wisest Mage Knight of our time…"

He slowly disappeared in a dark portal.

"Just don't let it get to your head."

"...What a creep."

"Weiss!"

Weiss turned her head, seeing Winter approaching her via rowboat. What Weiss didn't notice was that the fog disappeared.

"Winter?"

"I got worried as soon as I heard shrieking. What happened? …And why is your face covered in mud?"

Weiss chuckled lightly. "It's… a long story."

Someone suggested on Discord that I'd have Weiss hide herself in a barrel in Eventide, and as I started to write this, I thought "Where's the fun in that?"
