Last time, Musuko Motomiya was just a normal kid living in a world where digimon and humans coexist. Hearing that there is trouble with planes, fearing his father is in great danger, Musuko wanted to take action. Suddenly, he and his DemiVeemon found himself in the Digital World. They were attacked by Keramon and Tyrannomon, but DemiVeemon digivolved to Veemon and then Veedramon. After that, they met up with two friends of theirs and are about to take part in an actual serious mission.

The Angel and The Dragon

After being pulled mysteriously into the Digital World, Musuko and Veedramon was faced with Benson and his new Angemon. Benson Takashi: son of T.K. Takashi, same age and grade as Musuko, and is basically Musuko's best friend.

"Benson!" Musuko called as he made his way down from Veedramon. "What are you doing here?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing." Benson said. "One minute, I'm home. The next, I find myself here somehow. Not only that, but I got this." He said as he showed he got a green D-3. Surprised to see that, Musuko pulled out his own and showed that he had one as well. "After that, Tokomon and I ran into some trouble. Then, he was able to digivolve into Patamon and then Angemon, when he's never done that before."

"The same thing just happened to us." Musuko said.

"Hey there, Angemon." Veedramon said as the two digimon talked. "Talk about a sudden growth spurt, don't you think?"

"Yes. This was a sudden and unexpected turn of events." Angemon said. As fascinating as it was, they were in the middle of something.

"Musuko, aren't we in a hurry?" Veedramon questioned. That's when it all came back to Musuko.

"Oh yeah!" Musuko said. "We need to hurry back! Benson, the planes are in real trouble! I heard a few guys talking and the planes are in real trouble!"

"I know. I heard about that myself." Benson said. "Planes are having trouble landing and are suffering from some technical problems that are causing them some near crashed. On top of that, planes will be running low on fuel. If they don't land soon, those planes could be in real trouble."

"It gets worse. My dad is flying home." Musuko said with Benson fearing Musuko's father is in real trouble. "We've got to hurry back and try to do something."

"Actually, you should follow us." Angemon said as he lifted Benson in his arms. "We found something rather unusual. It's possible that the two are connected."

"Come on, Musuko." Veedramon said as he lowered his head for Musuko to climb on. Musuko hurried on and they followed after Benson and Angemon. Whatever it is those two found, this could be rather serious and they need to hurry before planes suffer from some serious issues.

Odaiba

Meanwhile, Kari took her youngest son, Koji, to pay a visit to her mother. It was just a casual visit with nothing going on, but it seems like they weren't aware of what was happening. While Kari and her mother were talking, Koji was just trying to enjoy some television with his Salamon.

"Koji, I'm making a fresh batch of cookies. Would you like some?" Kari's mother asked.

"Yes please." Koji said.

"I just hope they're normal cookies and not what she made last time." Salamon whispered, but Koji hushed her so she wouldn't be rude. Just then, Koji just felt a disturbing feeling. It was like he could feel that there was something wrong. When he felt that, he walked over to the balcony and stood out on there with him staring up at the sky. He just couldn't shake the feeling that there was something wrong.

"Koji? Honey?" Kari asked as she came up behind him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." Koji said. "Mom, where did Musuko say he was again?"

"He's just down at the park, honey. He's just playing soccer with his friends. I'm sure he's fine if you're worried about him." Kari claimed, but it was like Koji had a sixth sense. He could just feel that there was some sort of problem.

...

The Digital World

"Hurry! This way! It shouldn't be much further!" Angemon said as he and Benson showed the way to whatever it was they saw. Veedramon was trying his best to try and keep up with Angemon. As they were hurrying, Musuko couldn't stop thinking about what was going on.

"This is so cool!" Musuko said as he was enjoying the feeling of riding on Veedramon. "You actually digivolved and I'm able to ride on you!"

"You said it! I'm more like your father's Veemon." Veedramon said. "Although, I'm a little surprised I didn't become ExVeemon. I don't think this form has ever been seen before."

"That's what makes it even better!" Musuko cheered.

"Musuko, you might want to stay focus!" Benson called. "What we saw is just up ahead!" It sounds like the time to take action is about to happen. Angemon flew in low and they all tried to keep a low profile. When they took a look, they were surprised to see there were Keramon everywhere. They all just stood there and there appeared to be a lot of them. What's more is that there was another digimon there. It was hooked to a dark spot in the ground and appeared to be producing dark rings that shot into the sky.

"More Keramon, but who is that digimon there?" Musuko questioned.

"That digimon is the digivolved form of Keramon at the champion-level: Chrysalimon." Angemon explained.

"What's it doing?" Musuko asked.

"It seems to be unleashing some sort of signal." Angemon said. "It's possible that Chrysalimon there is the one sending out some sort of signal that is interfering with the planes."

"I don't understand why it's doing that." Benson said. "We need to a way to alert the proper authorities about what's going on."

"Benson, there might not be enough time, and it's obvious those Keramon mean us some trouble." Musuko said. "Besides, we've got the power now. There's no reason we can't do something." He was ready to charge in and take some action. "Come on, Veedramon! Let's get them!"

"Yeah!" Veedramon said as they both charged right in.

"Musuko! Wait!" Benson called, but both of them just kept on going.

"He never really did think things through, did he?" Angemon said. Musuko and Veedramon charged right at the Keramon and were ready for a fight. The Keramon instantly noticed them and tried to stop them as they all attacked.

"V-Nova Blast!" Veedramon unleashed a blast of blue fire and it incinerated some of the Keramon. The Keramon tried to fight back as they all fired at him, but Veedramon was able to push through the the attacks and thrashed against them like he was a raging dinosaur. Even Angemon joined in the fight. He flew in and twirled his staff around with him smashing it against all the Keramon he could. When some of the Keramon leaped at them, he kept twirling his staff around and used it like a shield.

"Omni Typhoon!" Angemon was able to generate a strong gust of wind that took some of the Keramon out.

"Musuko, you're crazy for just running in there like that!" Benson said.

"It's fine. Our parents did stuff like this before." Musuko said. "Besides, there's no time to wait and get help. We had to do something about this now." Musuko had a point. Planes are in need of aid now and they're really the only ones that can. Veedramon and Angemon continued to fight their way through the Keramon with them dropping like flies.

"Veedramon, don't worry about the Keramon! Focus on Chrysalimon! He's the source!" Angemon said. Both digimon pushed through the Keramon and went for Chrysalimon. Chrysalimon might be sending out signals that is messing with the planes, but it's still able to fight. It sent out its bladed arms at them, but both of them moved out of the way and tried attacking from both sides. Chrysalimon kept attacking from both sides, but the two of them managed to stay one step ahead of them. Then, Veedramon and Angemon leaped right at the enemy. They tried attacking together, but Chrysalimon stretched out his arms and managed to strike both of them.

"Hand of Fate!" Angemon tried attacking Chrysalimon, but a barrier got in the way of the attack and it wasn't strong enough to break through.

"Oh no! He's got some sort of shield!" Benson said.

"That's not stopping us! Veedramon, let him have it!" Musuko called.

"Magnum Punch!" Veedramon tried attacking with a powerful punch, but he only hit the barrier as well. When their attacks failed, Chrysalimon stretched out his arms and managed to hit both digimon.

"How are we going to get that thing?" Musuko said.

"Musuko, shouldn't we call for help now?" Benson said.

"Come on. Stop acting like a scared baby." Musuko said. "Benson, we're here now and we have the power to do something. We need to believe our digimon can do this. Our parents did stuff like this back when they were kids. We can do it too. Besides, do we really have the time." He's right. The planes in the sky are still flying, but they don't have clearance to land and are running out of fuel. Even Musuko's father, Davis, could end up a victim of this if something isn't done soon.

"You're bad at school, but you make a good point." Benson said. "Angemon, keep going! Find a way to push through!" Benson tried to believe in Angemon with both digimon trying to push back as best as they could. The problem was that they couldn't get around the barrier. "We're not getting anywhere like this. Angemon and Veedramon, try attacking together! If you two can't smash through that shield separately, maybe you can bust through it by combining your powers!" That sounded like a good idea. Veedramon and Angemon stood together and got ready to attack together.

"V-Nova Blast!"

"Hand of Fate!" The two of them attacked together and combined their powers. The two attacks smashed against the barrier. They tried to push through with their attacks and tried pouring out all the power they could to smash through it and destroy the barrier. Musuko and Benson tried putting all their faith into this because they had to win for a lot of people. Their belief gave Angemon and Musuko even more power. With the two of them combining their powers, they were able to smash right through the barrier and caused a large explosion to go off. Benson and Musuko thought they really had that bad digimon this time. They were amazed that they were even able to produce power like that. Seems like they won there.

The Real World

Meanwhile, now that digimon were known through the whole human world, many research facilities were established to learn more about digimon and the Digital World. One research team was comprised of an old digidestined named Izzy Izumi and his partner, Tentomon.

"Here is your usual tea, Izzy." Tentomon said as he handed some tea over to Izzy.

"Thank you." Izzy said as he took the tea. Just then, he detected a strange energy reading on his computer. "Huh? What's this?"

"What's wrong?" Tentomon asked.

"There's some sort of strange energy signal coming from the Digital World! What is this?!" Izzy questioned as something didn't seem right.

...

The Digital World

Musuko and Benson thought they beat Chrysalimon, but they were in for a surprise. The smoke began to clear away, but there was still something there. Only it wasn't Chrysalimon anymore, but something much bigger and stronger.

"What is that?" Musuko questioned. All of them tried to see through the smoke only to see claws shoot right through. The claws smashed against Veedramon and Angemon with them grabbing a hold of them. They two of them were thrashed around until they were smashed against the ground near their partners. "What just happened?!"

"Musuko, look!" Benson called as he spotted something. They both looked through the smoke and saw that they were no longer dealing with Chrysalimon. Somehow, it digivolved straight into the mega-level and became a digimon known as Diaboromon. This was certainly unexpected. "It digivolved again... I recognize that digimon from my father's books. It's called Diaboromon, and it's quite powerful and dangerous."

"How did that thing digivolve?" Musuko said. Something was quite off about all of this. It was as if some sort of great dark power was in control of things, and the only thing standing in the way were two kids. "It gets worse. Look at that." The dark rings they saw earlier was still going. That means the signal that is messing up with the planes is still going.

"That digimon is incredibly powerful. How can we beat something like that?" Benson questioned.

"However we can?" Musuko said as he stood brave in the face of danger. Benson was amazed that Musuko was being so brave. Benson has known Musuko since birth and he was amazed at how it seemed like Musuko was never scared of anything. "Come on, Veedramon. Get back up. We've got to beat that thing."

"Right." Veedramon said as he tried to stand. If Musuko can do it, Benson was thinking he can to.

"Angemon, get up. You can do it, too." Benson encouraged with Angemon getting back up. Both digimon stood strong facing against such a powerful digimon, but this digimon still might be too strong for them. Diaboromon fired a powerful lenergy blast straight from his chest and blasted all of them at the same time with much damage happening. Those two kids might be brave and full of optimism, but is it enough?

Koji

Koji didn't really move from the balcony. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something wrong and it had something to do with Musuko. As for Kari and his grandmother, the two of them just sat and talked until the news came on.

"Kari, look at this." Mrs. Kamiya said. "Reports are coming in about a series of planes having trouble. Some of them are having trouble landing."

"Oh no. Davis is flying home. I hope he'll be okay." Kari said. Koji was beginning to worry about things himself. Koji is normally an upbeat and cheerful kid, but he can just feel it.

"Hey, Koji. Look at that." Salamon said. Koji looked up and saw something rather strange. A shining white feather was floating it's way over to Koji. Koji wasn't sure what it was, but it was like that feather was acting like a beacon to him. As a child, he normally would be curious about something that looked pretty. He reached out for the feather and grabbed a hold of it, but that was when it unleashed some sort of light. Just then, another mysterious signal was being emitted in the Digital World with Izzy wondering what it could be.

...

The Digital World

Diaboromon caused a lot of damage from that one attack it launched. Being at such a high level, it would have been easy for the likes of that digimon to finish them, but the weirdness just keeps coming. Rather than finishing them off, Musuko and Benson survived the attack, as did their digimon. However, their digimon were completely different now. They went through some sort of strange transformation with them both carrying their human partners. Both digimon were like a blue and yellow astral projection with one looking like a cross between a dragon and a knight while the other one looks like an armored angel. It was like something of a miracle, something formed by hope itself was made. Whatever this power is, it might be just what they need.

...

As Musuko and Benson face off against the Diaboromon with a strange new power, they wonder what could be happening. Questions are rising and it seems that these kids are getting caught up in it.
