Last time, the kids met up with their friend Mason as he too was called into the Digital World just like the others were. He shared his family's story with sincerity with some Budmon and they enjoyed it. Then, a mysterious digimon and a Golemon attacked the mountain. Mason was able to have Palmon digivolve into Togemon and was able to defeat Golemon. After that, their parents were able to get them to bring them home, but the adventure is not over yet.

To Children or Adults?

Thanks to Izzy's brilliance, he was able to open up a gate to the Digital World and keep it stable at the same time. It allowed Tai and Matt to find the kids and safely bring them home. All of them emerged out of the gate and found themselves at Izzy's lab.

"You all made it back. Thank goodness." Izzy said.

"Good. I'll let the other parents know." Jim said.

"No need." Professor Takenouchi said. He opened up the door and the other parents and family came rushing in.

"Mason! My baby!" Mimi shouted as she rushed over to her son and hugged him as tight as she could.

"Natalie, thank goodness you're okay!" Sora said as she hugged her daughter. She wasn't the only one there. A little boy came and hugged her little brother, Toby.

"Natalie is back!" Tobi said. Tobi Ishida: only five, partner Tsunomon a little sensitive, Koji's best friend, and a sweet kid. All of the parents got a hold of their children and were just glad to see that their kids were all safe.

"It's good to see you're all okay." Musuko and the others realized that their friends and their parents were there as well.

"You're all here?" Benson said.

"Of course." Ken said. "When the other parents here told us you were all missing and might be in danger, we all came to make sure you were all safe."

"Now, come on! Tell us where you all went!" Tio said as he was excited to know. Tio Ichijouhi: Ken and Yolei's first son, partner Minomon, in kindergarten with Koji and Toby, and a bit of a troublemaker. He really wanted to know what happened, but HAwkmon held him back to get him to settle down.

"Thank goodness you're all okay." Kari said as she wouldn't let go of her son. "Musuko, what were you thinking running off?"

"I didn't run off. I sprang into action." Musuko said. "What I didn't expect was that Natalie and Mason were going to be there. And check this out!" He showed that all of their digimon have reached the rookie-level with everyone amazed by it. "They can even digivolve to the champion-level! I don't know what's going on in the Digital World, but this is turning out to be awesome!" The kids were all amazed that their friends managed to get their digimon to digivolve like that, but the parents didn't like how things were shaping.

"Dad, could you and Jim take Toby and the others kids to another room so they don't get any ideas? Some of the digimon should go, too." Sora said as she passed her little boy over to his grandfather. "We need to have a word with these four."

"Of course. Come on, kids." Her father said with all of them groaning they don't get to listen in on this. All of them cleared out and left those four with the adults, but they felt like they were in real trouble.

"Okay. Someone please tell us what's really going on." Tai said as they all needed to know all the details.

"Well, I guess it all really started with Musuko and Benson." Natalie said.

"Well, we already told our parents and I'm sure the rest of you already know." Benson said. "Musuko were pulled into the Digital World and fought some bad digimon. There was one named Chrysalimon that was somehow sending out some sort of signal. That's what was interfering with the planes yesterday."

"Yeah, but we kicked their butts." Musuko said.

"I knew it! And Cassie thought I was being silly!" Mason cheered.

"That's because it's hard to take you serious some times." Natalie said and bummed him out.

"Then, earlier today, Musuko and I were getting some sort of signal from our digivices and we were pulled into the Digital World again." Benson claimed. "We didn't expect Natalie and Mason to be there or to have digivices either." Natalie and Mason showed they were telling the truth by pulling out their new devices and surprising all of them.

"I don't understand." Cody said. "Digivices are no longer needed to help form a bond between humans and digimon. These kids have been with these digimon since birth. How could they have any?"

"I'm not sure, but this does prove that there is something going on." Ken said. "Kids, what happened when you were pulled into the Digital World this time?"

"Well, we were attacked by an Airdramon, Seadramon, and Golemon. They just attacked us for no reason." Biyomon claimed.

"There was also this one digimon we've never seen before." Natalie said. "It looked like a lady, but she had bright blue butterfly wings. All she did was watch us. It was sort of like she called for Golemon when she snapped her fingers." That didn't sound good to the parents.

"If one of you can give me your digivice, I might be able to use my analyzer to find out who that digimon is with my old analyzer." Izzy offered. Natalie handed hers over. Izzy inserted into his computer and tried to find the digimon they were talking about. "Is this it?" He asked as he showed the digimon.

"Yeah! That's her!" Biyomon confirmed.

"That digimon is named Hudiemon. She's only a champion." Izzy said. "Strange. She doesn't appear to be the dangerous kind, but I suppose looks can be deceiving."

"Well, we can take her." Musuko said as he was ready to jump right back into action.

"Absolutely not." Kari denied. "You kids have done enough. You're not getting anymore involved than you already have.

"What?!" Musuko said as he couldn't believe his mother would say that.

"I agree." Mimi said as she got a firm hold on her son out of protection. "Mason is not getting mixed up in saving the world when he is so young."

"Same here. Natalie isn't getting involved." Sora said as Natalie couldn't believe her mother would say that.

"Dad, do you feel same?" Benson asked.

"I can't speak for everyone, but I understand how they feel." T.K. claimed.

"Kids, this isn't a game. This sounds like it's serious, especially what you told us about those Keramon are true." Tai said. "If there really is trouble in the Digital World, we will handle it. Leave this to the adults."

"Uncle Tai..." Musuko couldn't believe that even his own uncle is saying that they should stand down. "This is so not fair!"

"Musuko, listen to your uncle." Kari said. "You kids aren't getting involved in something dangerous. Now, I think it's time we take all of you home. It's getting late."

"Joe, can you do a quick look at the digimon just to make sure they're not hurt?" Matt asked.

"I be happy to." Joe said. The kids couldn't believe this was happening to them. They were all looking forward to having their own adventure, but their parents are telling them to stand down. With them being such little kids against grown-ups, there wasn't much they could do in this situation. Since it seemed like it was settled, all of the adults took their kids and wanted to head home and make sure all was well. The only ones that stayed back were Tai and Izzy.

"If everything Musuko and Benson say is the truth, this means there really is trouble in the Digital World." Izzy said.

"Yeah, but why are our kids being pulled into this?" Tai questioned.

"We always knew a time like this might come." Izzy said.

"Easy for you to say. Your little girl wasn't pulled in, and sweet little Duncan is still just a baby." Tai said. Regardless, he was fully aware of the situation and just wished his nephew wasn't pulled in. They always knew this day might come, but some think it's just too soon.

The Motomiyas

"You go get ready for bed." Kari told both of her sons as soon as they walked through the front door of their home that night. "It's pass your bedtimes and you both have school tomorrow."

"This is so not fair." Musuko complained. "You all think the Digital World might be in trouble, but you won't let me or the others do anything to help."

"Musuko, we talked about this. This sounds like it could be dangerous and you kids aren't getting involved." Kari reminded.

"But that isn't fair, Mom. Even I know some of the stories of your adventures." Musuko argued. "You, T.K., and Cody weren't that much older than us when you went to the Digital World and fought evil. Why can't we do the same?"

"Things are different than how they were back then, Musuko. The world is a different place." Kari claimed. "There's no reason for little kids like you to get mixed up with something like this."

"Dad, you can't think the same, can you? You told me that anything is possible." Musuko said as he looked to his father. "Is it not possible for me and my friends to do something to help?"

"Come on. Don't make us choose sides." Davis' Veemon pleaded.

"Yeah. I don't want to get caught in the middle of this one." Davis said. Musuko thought for sure his uncle and his father would take his side on this. Musuko was actually looking forward to the adventure and the excitement, but now they're saying they can't be a part of that.

"Now both you and Koji go get ready for bed." Kari told him. Musuko did what his mother said, but he wasn't happy about this as he went up the stairs with anger. His parents felt bad, but they're only thinking of his safety. As for little Koji, he's rather worried about his brother himself, but more worried about him emotionally.

...

Mason

As for Mason, Mimi brought him home to their apartment. When they walked in, there was someone dressed like a cowboy with a digimon known as Betamon.

"Mason! You're back!" The boy said as he hurried over to Mason and hugged him.

"Hey, Malcolm." Mason said as he was glad to see his big brother. Malcolm Tachikawa: age twelve, a nice guy that cares deeply for his brother, but now has a strained relationship with his mother.

"Mom told me what happened. At least you're okay." Malcolm said.

"That's not all. Look at this, Malcolm. I'm seeing double." Betamon said. That was when Malcolm noticed the two Palmon.

"Wow! You got Tanemon to digivolve?! I didn't get Betamon until I was about ten." Malcom said.

"It's a long story." Mason said.

"One you don't have time to tell." Mimi said. "It's time for you to go to bed. You've got school tomorrow." Mason did what Mimi said and went on ahead to his room. "Don't worry about Mason, Malcolm. He's doing okay."

"That's good." Malcolm said as he just turned from his mother and gave her the cold shoulder. Mimi hated she and her oldest son are so estranged, but according to Mason's story, Mimi ended up revealing the truth about Malcolm being the son of her and Tai instead of the person he believed was their father. How can she fix it?

The Digital World

Meanwhile, something was going on in the Digital World. Hudiemon was at some sort of fortress. She flew down from above and appeared to be speaking someone.

"The children seem be stronger than I anticipated. The four of them have done well so far, but I don't know if that will last." Hudiemon said. "They are just young children after all."

"But those four are special. We'll soon see just how special they truly are." Who is it that Hudiemon is answering to? Is this the threat to the Digital World? Just who is it that is really pulling the strings?

...

Musuko

Musuko was up in his room and couldn't stop thinking about what is going on. He knows he and his friends have something waiting for them in the Digital World. How could his parents prevent him from doing what must be done. Musuko might be young, but he seems to understand that something in the Digital World is calling for help. As he just laid in his bed with Veemon, he wondered what he was going to do.

"Musuko..." Musuko looked to the door and saw Koji there with Salamon.

"Something wrong, Koji?" Musuko asked.

"I just wanted to know if you were okay. You looked rather upset when you came up the stairs." Koji said.

"I'm fine. I just think Mom and Dad are being hippocriminal." Musuko claimed.

"Okay, I'm sure you didn't say that right." Salamon claimed.

"You know...I bet you really could." Koji said. "You might not be that smart, but you always were a good guy. I'm sure you really could help a lot of people." Musuko really appreciated that. The two of them have always been rather close even if there are times they do annoy each other.

"Koji." Both of them looked and saw their Dad standing there. "Off to bed. You and Musuko can talk and play tomorrow."

"Okay, Daddy." Koji agreed as he and Salamon went off to their own room.

"Trouble sleeping?" Davis asked Musuko.

"Dad, this isn't fair." Musuko said.

"So you keep repeating." Davis teased. "I know you're upset. This sounded like it could be a fun adventure, but Mom says no. As did all the other parents. I hope you understand it's only because your Mom wants you to be safe, and it can get rather dangerous."

"But you and the other parents started saving both worlds when you were kids." Musuko argued.

"I was still older than you back when I first went." Davis claimed. "Musuko, this isn't a game. It can be rather serious. Still, I think it's great that you want to help the Digital World if it really is having some trouble."

"So let me do go!" Musuko argued, but Davis just looked at his son and that got him to quiet down.

"Sorry, Musuko. We'll talk more about it later. For right now, try and get some sleep." Davis said as he was on his way out. "I will tell you this." He said with Musuko listening. "I do agree with your mother, and I don't want to see you placed in any danger. Still, if something in the Digital World called for your help, there must be a good reason for it." That was all he said before leaving Musuko's room, and it made Musuko felt better. It had him think that his father does believe in him. Something is going on in the Digital World, but should it be left to the children or the adults? Perhaps the answer is the reason as to why those kids were chosen in the first place.

...

The parents have forbidden the kids from doing anymore, but the four of them aren't convinced they should stay away. As they try to figure out what to do, a mysterious message comes to them. Will they take it?
