In an attempt for them to learn the truth as to why these four kids were being pulled into the Digital World, they thought they were meeting with someone. Instead, they were pulled in once again to the Digital World. Thinking their answers are locked away in a mysterious fortress, the children attacked it. They were able to get inside, but were met with the mysterious digimon Hudiemon. She claims that both worlds are in danger and that these little kids are the ones meant to save it.

The Children's Power

Upon seeing that their son was gone, Davis and Kari woke Izzy up knowing Musuko has to be in the Digital World. Knowing the other kids are involved; they also called Matt, Sora, Mimi, T.K., and T.K.'s wife Mina. Needing Izzy, they all hurried to his lab and he was already there. With it being so late, some of the digimon stayed behind to keep an eye on the other kids, but they're all really worried.

"Sorry to wake you up, Izzy, but the kids have to be in the Digital World." Kari said.

"No need to apologize." Izzy said.

"Do you think you can find them again?" Matt questioned.

"I can find them a lot faster if you guys stop distracting me and let me work." Izzy said.

"Just please hurry, Izzy. I want to get my Mason back in my arms, and then ground him so hard that he never sneaks away from me again." Mimi said as she was being scared and angry at the same time.

"I can't believe this. I can't believe this." Mina said. Mina is a beautiful women with long blonde hair, she's where Lila got her looks from. "Benson is usually a well-behaved boy. How could he sneak away and out of the apartment like this?"

"Mina, calm down." Davis claimed. That was a big mistake.

"Calm down? Calm down?! My baby boy is in another world involved in something dangerous!" Mina said. "You're telling me to calm down?!"

"I get you're scared. We're all scared, upset, and all those other emotions that our kids snuck away from us and did this." Davis said. "That's why we just need to trust Izzy. Izzy's the smartest one here, the smartest of all of us. He'll find them." Mina and the others are aware of that, but it doesn't make them feel better. Mina was still freaked so T.K. took her in his arms to comfort her. As for Davis, he looked and saw his own wife needed some comfort. "Kari, it's going to be okay."

"I made it clear to Musuko he wasn't suppose to get involved." Kari claimed. "Why couldn't he just listen to me?"

"Kari, I don't like this anymore than you do." Davis claimed. "I don't want our son to be in danger either, but you and I both know that if the Digital World is calling for him, there's a reason."

"I know." Kari said as she held herself in comfort. Davis did the same as he took her in his arms. "I thought that when the two worlds co-exist as they do now, we were done with all of this."

"Don't worry, Kari. I found them." Izzy said as he managed to locate them. "I also noticed something with their D-3s when I had Natalie's hooked up to my computer. It was also a good chance to get a good scan of it since there hasn't been one in years. It looks like they have been updated."

"Updated? What do you mean?" Sora questioned.

"I think we might be able to communicate with them. We'll be able to see and hear them." Izzy claimed. All of them parents were glad to know about that as Izzy worked his magic.

...

The Digital World

Musuko and the kids managed to break inside the mysterious fort. They might have busted inside, but they were now faced with Hudiemon. She claims that they are the ones who can save the world. Apparently, she's not an enemy and was testing them the whole time.

"Kids! Kids! Can you hear me?!" They could heard Izzy's voice from their digivices.

"Is that Izzy's voice?" Musuko questioned.

"It is. I'm with all of your parents." Izzy said. "Let me just say that all of you kids are in serious trouble." They figured they would be. "We can see what's going on. Where are all of you?"

"I'm sorry we snuck away, but we were offered the chance to learn the truth of what is going on." Benson said. "Hudiemon here says that the two worlds are in danger and that we're the ones to save it."

"What?! That's crazy! You're just kids!" Sora said.

"I'm afraid it is all true, but there is someone here that wishes to explain it." Hudiemon said. That was when something weird happened. They all looked up and saw a whole flock of butterflies coming down to them. The butterflies all flew down and were forming a person.

"It is a pleasure to meet the new generation of the digidestined."

"Uh... Am I hearing things? I could have sworn that flock of butterflies just talked." Musuko said.

"No, you are not hearing things Musuko. Perhaps this will help." An image of a man was appearing over the butterflies like it was some sort of ghost. It took the form of a man with purple hair with a purple overcoat. "It is nice to meet all of you. My name is Yukio Oikawa."

"Yukio Oikawa?!" The kids said. The parents were able to see and hear that themselves. They couldn't believe it. They all thought he was gone forever, but it seems that his spirit is still alive.

"Yukio Oikawa... I've heard of you!" Benson said. "Dad told me about you! You were once a regular man dreaming of going to the Digital World. In your misery, you being manipulated by an evil digimon named MaloMyotismon. When the Digital World was in bad shape, you sacrificed yourself to restore all of it. Everyone believes you've been watching the Digital World."

"It's the least I could have done after all that I did." Oikawa claimed. "I wish we were meeting under better circumstances, but I'm afraid everything Hudiemon said is true. A great and powerful evil is rising, and both worlds could be at risk."

"What evil? I still don't understand what's going on." Mason said.

"Of course. I'm sorry. This must be rather confusing to all of you." Oikawa said. "Allow me to start from the beginning. As Benson said, I traded away my energy to restore the Digital World. After that day, I've been watching over the Digital World for all these years. I'm quite pleased with what your parents have done for both worlds, but I'm afraid that the forces of evil have not stopped. I soon learned of a great and powerful evil. If something isn't done, this evil has the potential to destroy both worlds, and everything your parents have worked on will be ruined."

"Is this evil really that powerful?" Benson asked.

"I'm afraid that it is." Oikawa said. "You kids are the ones that can stop it."

"But if you know about parents, why not go to them for help?" Mason asked.

"Your parents are all great, but I'm afraid their time has passed." Oikawa claimed. "It's time to pass the torch to the next generation. It is now your turn to step up and protect both worlds, protect all that your parents have built."

"Why us? We're just kids. Each of us are only seven." Natalie said. "How come you think we're the ones to do that?"

"A couple of reasons." Oikawa said. "One of the reasons is because that you are young children. Digimon grow and develop just like how children grow to become adults. The energy children produce for digimon is stronger than it is with adults. You all might be young, but you are filled with vast amount of potential, optimism, and imagination. All things that give digimon their power."

"So it's because we're so young that we were chosen?" Benson questioned.

"That's one way to put it." Oikawa said. "Another reason is that each of you have inherited the power of your parents crests."

"Our parents crests?" Musuko questioned.

"Back when the digidestined were just a mere eight, each of them had a crest. The crests helped give them power, and each crest had a different meaning. The meaning of those crests also represented your parents strongest qualities, their strongest traits." Oikawa said. "The reason the four of you were chosen is because each one of you have inherited the same quality and power as they have."

"And what crests do we have?" Natalie asked.

"They should be a little obvious based on who your parents are." Oikawa claimed. "Natalie, you've inherited the power of your mother's crest: the crest of love."

"My mother's crest..." Natalie said as she was amazed to have that.

"You? Love?" Musuko questioned with him chuckling only to have Natalie hit him in the arm.

"Mason, you inherited your mother's as well. You hold the power of the crest of sincerity." Oikawa said. "Benson, you have your father's. His was the crest of hope."

"That actually works for us." Mason said as they were both glad to have those crests.

"So what about me?" Musuko questioned.

"I guess you would have your mom's crest. I believe that one is the crest of light." Benson said.

"Not exactly." Oikawa claimed. "Musuko, you have a special crest that actually belongs to your father. Even he wasn't aware he had it. Your crest is known as the crest of miracles."

"Of miracles?! That sounds amazing!" Musuko said as he loved having a crest like that. With the parents listening, they were also stunned to hear that there was another crest out there that they didn't even know about it. "Wait. How could it be my father's? I don't remember ever hearing about that one before."

"Yeah. I don't think any of them have ever heard of that crest before." Natalie said.

"The crest of miracles is a powerful one." Oikawa said. "It's because of that crest that your father was able to utilize the golden digiegg to have his Veemon become Magnamon. Each of you had the power of the crests, really since the day each of you were born. Between these two factors that I have shared, it is why the four of you were chosen."

"Do any of our other friends have the same potential?" Benson asked. "After all, they're about our age or younger."

"I'm afraid they don't." Oikawa said. "They all might be young, but they have yet to reach into the potential that could allow their digimon to digivolve."

"Wait. Musuko, what about your little brother? Isn't Salamon a rookie digimon like ours are now?" Mason said.

"That might be true, but Mom's Gatomon is the one who has been training and helping take care of Salamon." Musuko said. "Don't let the adorable cat features fool you. Gatomon is a lot tougher than she looks."

"What's more is that your friends haven't inherited the power of the crests like the rest of you have." Oikawa said. "Despite how young you all are, something must be done. I had to ensure that you were ready. That's why I had Hudiemon monitor your progress and had those digimon attack. I'm truly sorry for the trouble I have caused all of you. I know your parents can hear me, so I am sorry to all of you as well. It's just that it needed to be done."

"So, you were the one who kept pulling us here?" Mason questioned.

"And when we were attacked by the digimon up until now was you testing us, trying to bring that power out?" Natalie said.

"It was. As was what you did here in this fortress." Oikawa claimed. "You handling the situation shows that you kids are stronger and smarter than you think, and that is why I believe you have what it takes to save the future of both worlds. None of them had any idea. They were chosen simply for being kids, and because they inherited the power that once belonged to their parents. This is the children's power.

"Wait a minute." Benson said as he realized something. "Does that mean what happened with the Keramon and those other bad digimon was your doing?"

"Hey! That's right!" Musuko said. "There were some digimon trying to mess the systems in planes! My dad was flying home at the same time all that was going on. Does that you mean it was just another test?!"

"That was completely dangerous! You put so many people in danger because of that!" Benson said.

"No, you're wrong. That was not my doing." Oikawa claimed with all of them stunned to hear that. "The digimon you fought on that day worked for this evil. They were part of what I am trying to warn you about."

"They were?" Musuko questioned as they had no idea about that.

"Another reason this is happening. This enemy is beginning to make their move to spread chaos and destruction." Oikawa claimed. "You must be ready for it." This did sound rather serious. Their parents had their time, but it sounds like it's time for their kids to step forward to protect both worlds.

"Mr. Oikawa, something else happened on that day." Benson said. "Musuko and I were faced with a Diaboromon, and I knew we didn't stand a chance against something like that. Despite that, we still tried to fight it and something happened to our digimon. They took on weird forms."

"Yes, I'm aware of that." Oikawa claimed. "Miracles and hope are two powerful forces, hold power and potential than the other crests. The only one that could match their power would be the crest of light. When you two fought Diaboromon, you might have tapped into some sort of power you both have. The problem is that I don't think you two have learned to fully control it. If you can figure out what that power is, it might awakened a great power you both have." That sounded incredible as both boys looked at each other with hope that they really can tap into that power. "Now you know all of this, you must be ready."

"Wow. We get to save the world." Mason said.

"No! No! No!" Mimi shouted from their D-3s. "You kids are coming home right now! You are too young to be saving the world!"

"Do I really need to keep reminding them that a few of them were around our age when they were saving the world?" Musuko questioned. He certainly had a strong point there. His own mother was near his age when she started saving the world.

"Wait just one moment." Hudiemon said as she finally spoke. "Oikawa, I do agree that something must be done to protect both worlds. However, these are just children. They are still young and greatly inexperienced while this evil is vast and powerful. Can we really trust the fate of both worlds to them? I am still not convinced."

"I know how it seems, Hudiemon, but these children give their digimon greater power than most children can." Oikawa claimed. "We must trust them."

"Yeah, you big butterfly." Musuko said as he spoke up. "Haven't we proven to you that we have what it takes? You saw what we've been doing lately."

"You are indeed strong, but I'm still not sure you're strong enough to defeat this evil." Hudiemon said. "I won't be able to see how strong you truly are unless I face you myself in battle."

"You're saying you want to fight. Is that what we've got to do to show you how strong we are?" Musuko questioned. "I'll take you on." After learning all of this, Musuko seems even more confident and sure of himself now. "Come on, Veedramon. Let's show this butterfly how tough we really are."

"I'm right there with you." Veedramon said as they will take Hudiemon's challenge. Knowing what they know now, Musuko and Veedramon seem ready to go and ready for a fight.

...

To prove to Hudiemon that he and his friends are capable of saving the world, Musuko fights against her. Not only will this challenge prove their strength, but they might also catch a glimpse to what it is they will be up against.
