Hudiemon was not quite convinced the kids had what it really took to save both worlds. However, Musuko and Veedramon proved her wrong. At the same time, the children were faced with the real enemy: Daemon, an old enemy of their parents. Witnessing his terrifying power, all the children could do was run. A Child's Resolve

"Izzy, what happened?! Where are our children?!" Mimi questioned as all of them were scared now. At some point, they lost the signal. Now the parents don't know where their beloved children are or what became of them. "If that Daemon has hurt my Mason, I'm going to tear him apart!"

"More like he'll tear you apart, Mimi." T.K. said.

"You guys fought him before. Is he really that strong?" Matt asked.

"He was, and it seems like he's even more powerful than he was all those years ago." Kari said. "Izzy, please find our kids."

"I know. Don't worry. I saw that they managed to getaway before we lost the signal, so we know they're okay." Izzy said as he was working as best as he could. They're kids are going to need them now more than ever, but they can't do anything until they find where there kids are. Hopefully, they're all unharmed.

The Digital World

"Musuko? Can you hear me? Musuko?" Musuko began to pull himself together. When he was able to pull himself together, he looked up and saw Veemon right over him. "Good. You're not hurt."

"Where am I?" Musuko questioned as he looked around. He saw that he and the others were safe and in a forest now. All of them were recovering after what happened to them, but at least it looked like none of them were hurt. "How did we get here?" He wondered about that until everything came flashing back to him, especially with what happened to Hudiemon. That was the first time that a digimon sacrificed their life for another. Musuko was usually cheerful, but not this time.

"Is everyone okay?" Natalie asked.

"I believe so, but that was one crazy ride." Benson said.

"And the sun is already up. I can't believe we've been out all night." Mason said. "Our parents are not going to be happy about that."

"Right now, I'm a little more worried about ourselves." Palmon said. They're just not sure what they're going to do now. They're in the middle of nowhere in the Digital World, got blown around for who knows how long, and now they have a dangerous and evil digimon chasing after them.

"What are we going to do now?" Natalie questioned.

"First, I think we should try and get you kids home." Biyomon said. "We all saw what Daemon just did. It might not be safe for us to stay here."

"But how are we going to get home? We don't even know where we are." Mason said.

"Maybe our parents are working on that. We heard their voices, so maybe we can use our digivices to call them." Natalie said as she held hers up. "Izzy? Uncle T.K.? Anyone? How does this thing even work?" She questioned as tried to get it to work.

"Wait a minute. They still might be the key to getting us home." Benson said. "Dad told me that they used those digivices to travel to the Digital World and came out through televisions. That's how they also got back home. Maybe there's a way we can use that to get home. We just need to find one."

"And who says television is bad for you." Mason said as he liked the sound of that.

"But we don't even know what direction to go in." Patamon said.

"Besides, that was like...what? A hundred years ago? Things have changed now." Veemon said.

"And what about that man? Oikawa, was it? What could have happened to him? We might need his help now." Palmon claimed.

"Maybe we should just stay here and wait for the adults to find us." Biyomon said. "They always told us that if we're ever lost that we should just stay where we are until we see someone we know that can help us."

"But Daemon might be looking for us." Natalie said. "What do we do if he shows up?" Thinking that made everyone a little nervous.

"How about Biyomon and I fly around. We'll be able to cover more ground since we can fly." Patamon said. "We can search around to see if we find anything that might be able to help us."

"That sounds like a good idea." Benson agreed to that. That's exactly what they did as Patamon and Biyomon flew off and searched for anything that might be able to help their situation. None of the kids have been in something like this before. Hopefully, they won't have anything bad happen to them.

Daemon

The kids may have invaded the fort, but Daemon completely conquered it. The fort was completely destroyed and there wasn't anyone that opposed Daemon left. Daemon still remained on the beach and was wondering what he was going to do next.

"Master, you truly are the mightiest digimon that has ever lived." Vilemon said. "Those losers didn't stand a chance against you. Now, what do you say we get back to causing more chaos and havoc for the human world. Since both worlds are so close, we take both worlds with one stone." Vilemon was trying to get cozy with his boss, but Daemon glared right at him and got him to scared to his core. "Something wrong?"

"Those little brats still managed to escape me." Daemon said.

"Why even waste your time with those brats?" Vilemon said. "They are obviously no match for the likes of you."

"Yes, but things aren't how they were before. Humans and digimon seem to be closer, and that can bring about great potential and power." Daemon said. "During my time in that other world, I didn't just become stronger. I also had a premonition that these children might become a threat to me. I underestimated the power of humans and digimon before, but I'm not going to make that mistake again."

"So what are you going to do?" Vilemon asked.

"I already have my forces working for my plans." Daemon said. "I'm returning to ensure things go smoothly. I want you to hunt those kids down. Take one of my pets with you and make sure those children won't be a problem to me."

"What? You're sending me on brat control?" Vilemon said. "I play a much bigger role in your forces. I shouldn't..." Vilemon stopped talking as Daemon grabbed him by the face.

"Are you trying to irritate me?" Daemon questioned.

"No! Of course not, Master! I like living too much to do something like that!" Vilemon said in a panic.

"Good. Go looking for those kids, and don't screw it up!" Daemon ordered. Once he released Vilemon, Vilemon flew off fearing for his life. The only thing that might spare him is doing his job. After Vilemon flew off, Daemon opened up a dark portal and walked through it. Daemon wants to ensure that nothing gets in his way this time.

Musuko

All the kids really did was wait around for Patamon and Biyomon to come back with good news. Hopefully, they'll find a way for them to get out of this. As they were waiting, Musuko separated himself from the others. He just sat on the root of a tree and was holding his knees. Seeing what he saw seems to have actually gotten to him.

"Musuko..." Natalie said as she came over. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Musuko said.

"You don't look fine." Natalie said as she sat with him. "You want to talk about what's bothering you? Is it Daemon?"

"More like... It's more like it's about what I saw happened to Hudiemon." Musuko said as what he saw kept replaying in his head. Hudiemon gave up her life to save them, but he just kept seeing how the flames enveloped and destroyed her. "I... I never really saw something like that before."

"Yeah. That was rather scary." Natalie said as she was rather sad that Hudiemon was gone as well. After living in peace for all this time, the kids never really experienced losing a digimon like that.

"I never really thought about it when Benson and I fought those Keramon, Tyrannomon, and Diaboromon because those digimon were bad and evil." Musuko said. "Hudiemon, on the other hand, was good. She tried to help us and now she's..."

"True, but my mom told me that digimon never really... They don't...you know." Natalie said as she couldn't really say it. "They'll just be reborn as digieggs. Hudiemon might come back one day. Although, it's still rather sad." Musuko certainly thought the same thing. "You know, I'm here if you want to talk."

"Thanks, Natalie." Musuko said as he appreciated it.

"Ooh! Are you two having one of those moments?" Mason teased with the others laughing. "Are you two going to actually kiss?"

"Eew. No way. I would rather have lice." Natalie said.

"That's not funny, Mason. That's gross." Musuko complained.

"Too bad. You two are cute together." Benson joined in the teasing with them laughing at Natalie and Musuko.

"Sorry. I just thought we all could use a laugh." Mason said. He was right about that. A little laughter in these tense moments is a good way to break the tension and have others feel better. That was when Biyomon and Patamon came back, and it didn't seem good.

"Guys, I'm sorry. We looked around, but we couldn't find anything." Biyomon said.

"Really? Not one thing that could help?" Natalie said as none of them liked that. "Well, now what are we going to do?"

"Guys, I really want to go home now." Mason said as he was starting to feel sad. They're all still rather scared and sad and just unsure what to do. They're problems are about to get a lot worse as they felt the ground shaking...like something big was coming to them.

"There you are, you little brats." They all looked up and spotted the Vilemon already found them.

"Vilemon! What do you want?!" Musuko questioned.

"Isn't that obvious? I'm here to destroy you because Daemon said so." Vilemon claimed. "Now let's get down to business! Tuskmon!" Another digimon named Tuskmon marched right through the trees. Tuskmon reached out for them, but all of them stayed out of his reach. "Come on, you big lug! Get them already and let's be done with this! They're just kids!" Tuskmon kept trying to get them, but the kids kept running to keep him out of reach.

"What do we do?" Mason questioned.

"What do you mean? We fight, don't we?" Palmon questioned. They know they should, but after seeing what they saw with Daemon and Hudeimon's destruction has them a little hesitant to act. "Guys, what's wrong? Aren't we suppose to fight?"

"Palmon's right. We have to fight because the world is counting on us." Veemon claimed, but they're just kids and that's a lot of pressure. After what happened last night, they aren't sure if they really can keep going.

"While you brats are trying to decide what you want, Tuskmon is going to crush you!" Vilemon claimed.

"Horn Driver!" Tuskmon gathered power into his horns and tried to drive it down at them. All of them avoided it, but the impact knocked all of the kids around.

"Musuko, we're in real trouble if we don't fight back. You've never backed down from a fight." Veemon said. Musuko wants to, but he's still acting a little uneasy about doing this.

"Tuskmon, just crush them already. It's not like those kids ever stood a chance. I can't believe that oversized butterfly thought they could stop Daemon." Vilemon said. Tuskmon bared his teeth and planned to finish off their kids right now. However, Musuko wasn't going to allow that. He reached for his D-3 and jumped right into the fight.

"Go for it, Veemon!" Musuko said.

"Veemon digivolve to...Veedramon!"

Once Veedramon digivolved, he smashed himself against Tuskmon and knocked him back. That was unexpected to Vilemon since it seemed like the kids were rather upset and nervours earlier, but Musuko somehow found the strength to stand his ground against them.

"That's right. Hudiemon did trusted us, and we're not going to let her down. Not after she sacrificed herself to make it so." Musuko said. His renewed courage seemed to have inspired the others. Musuko is so young, but his resolve is strong.

"Come on. I thought you were mean and green." Veedramon taunted. Tuskmon went on the attack as he charged right again, but Veedramon grabbed him by the horns and held his ground.

"That's right, Veedramon! Don't back down and give those creeps what they're asking for!" Musuko cheered. Veedramon put all his strength into it as he tossed him aside and caused Tuskmon to fall to the ground. "Now finish it! Show these creeps we're not afraid of them!"

"V-Nova Blast!" Veedramon unleashed his signature attack and blasted Tuskmon with an intense blast that turned him into data.

"Hudiemon didn't deserve what happened to her, but I'm not going to let her down." Musuko said.

"Go on and tell Daemon that we're not backing down and he won't have his way with us." Veedramon said as he swung his tail around and smashed it against Vilemon, having Vilemon bounce around like a pinball machine.

"Musuko, that was...incredible." Natalie said as she and the others were amazed. "I've never seen you get so serious before."

"That's because this is serious. I didn't even think about what I did, and just did it." Musuko said as he was still sounding serious. "Hudiemon trusted us to save both worlds. Our parents might not like it, but someone out there trusts that we can handle things despite being kids. That's why we have to keep going. We might just be kids, but our parents were able to do it when they were kids. We can too." Musuko claimed and it seems like he was inspiring the others as well. With newfound resolve, they're starting think they really can save both worlds and stop Daemon.

Daemon

Meanwhile, down in another world where everything was dark, including light itself, Daemon attempts to come up with another plan. As he stood along the shores of this dark world, he must find a way to defeat those kids so they don't get in his way.

"These children might be more of a challenge than I thought." Daemon said. "I can't trust the likes of Vilemon to get rid of them." He thought over what he was going to do and it soon came to him. "Although, I'm sure there are others that would love to that are far more powerful." Daemon's time in this world has made his power grow stronger. That is why he is capable of using dark magic for what he's planning. His power reached into the ocean and reached into the darkest depths. His power caused four small geysers of water. Once the water dropped down, four new figures stood there and breathed in life. "Welcome back. I have a task for the four of you."

Desperate to get their children back, their parents work as best as they can to do that. They managed to get a gateway open, but Daemon sends his forces to attack the kids. In an attempt to stop them, these four digimon are also fueled by their own personal matters
