After they managed to return home, the kids informed their parents about what has happened recently. These growing situations are starting to become quite hard for the kids and their parents. The parents are having a hard time dealing with the fact that their kids have to save the worlds. At the same time, the kids need to find a way to become stronger because their enemies are becoming stronger. How can they unlock the power?

The Vampire's Curse
Four old enemies of the original digidestined have been revived by Daemon to defeat Musuko and the others. They see it as a possible chance to get revenge on the digidestined they've dealt with before. However, Myotismon was having trouble with his situation. As he looked down at the dark water, he thought about the position he's in and hates. He's so frustrated that he smashed his fist against the water.
"This is beneath me!" Myotismon said. "I should be the one ruling over all with the powers of darkness. Not this! If only I had my full power, but Daemon prevented that!"
"Of course, you fool." Myotismon turned around and saw Daemon appearing behind him. "I'm not naïve, Myotismon. If I would have restored your power, you would have turned against me to claim all the power for your own. Still, the power you have now should be more than enough to handle these children. As you can see, we have a common enemy. It only makes sense that we try to work together."
"And why is it you want these children out of the way? They are younger than the digidestined I had to deal with. You dealt with some of them yourself." Myotismon said.
"Do not underestimate them. These children are more powerful than you think." Daemon said. "Just like you, I desire to spread chaos and destruction. That is my very nature. Those kids could end up being a problem. After all, those four have inherited the power of the crests from their parents. You of all digimon know how powerful those are."
"They only gave those digimon powers. Those humans easy to crush if their digimon..." When Myotismon thought about it, an idea came to him that might get him what he wants. "That's it! Digimon and humans have a symbiotic relationship! The humans give digimon power while the digimon protect the humans! There might be a way, but for it to work...I need you to grant me a little something. If this works, not only will you have those children out of the way, but I'll be one step closer to my revenge." 'An once I get those kids out of the way, I'll be coming for you and taking my rightful place.'
"Very well. What do you need?" Daemon asked.

The Real World
"Bye, kids! All of you have a nice day." Kari said as she saw the last of her students leave as another day came to an end. Since Davis already came and picked up Koji, Kari straightened up her classroom. As she was cleaning up the room, she looked outside and noticed how dull it looked outside. "Sure is awfully cloudy today. It's like there's no sign of the sun at all." When she said that, she looked and noticed Gatomon just staring out the windows. "Gatomon? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Gatomon said. "Kari, did Musuko say he was going to be somewhere today?"
"All the kids are meeting at the park. Tyson, Koji, and the others are just so amazed by their digimon being able to digivolve they want to know more. At least that might keep them out of danger." Kari said as she was getting the feeling that something was wrong with Gatomon based on how she just stood there and looked rather serious. "Gatomon, is there something bothering you?"
"I... I need to step outside. I'm sorry, but you're going to have handle clean-up without me." Gatomon said. She opened a window and just took off.
"Gatomon! Come back!" Kari called as she was worried about her now. As Gatomon ran through the streets, she can just tell that something is going on.
'He'll be here. He's coming. Now would be an ideal chance for him to attack.' Gatomon thought. Ever since Musuko and the others told them about four of their old enemies being revived, she's been the most cautious about Myotismon. Knowing the history between those two, she's going to do whatever she can to destroy Myotismon for good. 'Whatever it takes, I must protect Kari and her family from him.'

The Park
Meanwhile, all the kids of the twelve digidestined met up at the park. All the other kids just love that Veemon and the others are able to digivolve. They all think it's cool and so much fun. While all the kids were trying to play and have fun, Yolei and Clare were there as well with them having their two babies, Sammy and Duncan.
"It's nice to see the kids trying to enjoy themselves." Clare said as they watched the kids talk and the digimon play around.
"You can say that again." Yolei said. "With everything that's been going on, I'm glad to see the kids act like normal kids. Good thing Sammy here is going to grow and be a good boy, not getting involved in danger." She said as she played around with her baby. "At least the kids are talking about something other than the world being in danger. Thank goodness Cassie and Tio weren't chosen for this."
"Come on! Tell us how to get our digimon to digivolve so that we can save the world! Why should you guys have all the fun?!" Tio said. Seems like the kids are still doing the opposite of what their parents want them to do.
"Tio, it's not fun." Cassie said. "From what they've told us, it sounds like a lot of people and digimon are in trouble."
"But that's why we should have our digimon digivolve. We can help fight." Tyson said.
"Careful, Tyson. We don't want Mrs. Ichijoji or Mrs. Izumi to hear us." Koromon said.
"It's okay. We're secured." Susan said as she checked to make sure.
"Natalie, please tell me how Tsunomon can digivolve. I want a Gabumon just like Daddy." Toby asked. "I want to fight."
"Toby, do you have any idea how worried Mom and Dad are that I'm doing this?" Natalie said. "They're both going to get really upset if I let you become a part of this."
"Sorry, guys. You're digimon won't be able to digivolve like ours did." Benson said. "We're... How should I put this nicely?" He wondered as he tried to be considerate of everyone's feelings.
"Special." Mason said as he just ripped the bandage off, but the other kids were a little offended on what he just said. While they were all talking about it, Musuko just sat on the ground and it looked like he was in deep thought. Unfamiliar with seeing Musuko like that, Koji was a little worried.
"Musuko, is something wrong?" Koji asked.
"I'm just thinking." Musuko said.
"You're thinking?!" Salamon said with shock and surprise. Everyone was a little shocked to hear that since that's not something Musuko usually does. "Careful. You might hurt your head."
"What are you thinking about?" Koji asked.
"What we're going to do. We need to get stronger, but how are we going to do that?" Musuko questioned. "Veemon and the others have to digivolve into the next level, but how are we going to get them to do that?"
"He's right." Benson said. "I think the digimon we might have to fight are only going to get stronger. Some of the bad digimon are already at a powerful level. We need to get our digimon to digivolve further. I know they can because Musuko and I unlocked some sort of power before, but I don't know what we did. There's got to be a way." All of them were wondering how they could do that. They need to if they're going to stand a chance against them.
"Well, I don't know about that." Uria said as she shared her opinion. "Some digimon like my Upamon are cute just the way they are. Why would you want to ruin that when digivolving ruins how cute they are?"
"Uria, we're talking stopping evil. It shouldn't matter how our digimon look." Natalie said.
"Maybe, but that doesn't mean you can't look good while you're fighting evil." Uria said.
"Yeah. I certainly don't want Bukamon to digivolve if it means I have to be a part of this." Jimmy said as he grabbed his partner and held him close. He actually sounded rather nervous. "It sounds like it could be scary. Aren't you guys scared?"
"We were a little, but we realized that some are counting on us." Mason said. "I wish our parents could see it like that."
"But they don't. What are we going to do?" Musuko said as he tried to figure it out. Things were getting rather serious, but they're still just kids and shouldn't worry too much about this.
"Well, we're not going to get anywhere like this." Natalie said as she grabbed a soccer ball. "Let's play some soccer. That usually takes your mind off your troubles, Musuko. Unless you're scared you're going to get beat by me...again."
"It's on!" Musuko said as he quickly snapped back to his normal self and the kids went back to having fun.

The Beach
With the sun blocked out by the dark clouds, it was ideal for Myotismon to strike. That's exactly what he did. A dark portal opened up and he floated out of it. He emerged out of the portal and floated down on to the sands of the beach with him entering the human world once again.
"Back to the human world once again... I should consider making this place my new home." Myotismon joked. "Not much seems to have changed." He set foot right on the sand, but the moment he did was when he was met with a welcoming committee. He was a little surprised to see Gatomon herself, and those fierce blue eyes that constantly glare at him. "Gatomon. So good to see you again. How's my old pet been?"
"I knew you would come eventually." Gatomon said.
"I wasn't expecting to run into you so soon." Myotismon said. "I see that you're here alone. Do you really intend to fight me by yourself?"
"I've beaten you before and I will again! I'll keep doing it again and again until you stay gone!" Gatomon claimed.
"Don't be foolish. Do you really intend to fight me alone?" Myotismon warned. "I'll admit that I don't have all my power, but I'm still capable of dealing with you. Once I'm finish with you, I'm going after those kids Daemon wants me to get rid of."
"I won't let you anywhere near those kids!" Gatomon called. "You stay away from them, especially Musuko!"
"Musuko? That's the one with the Veemon, isn't he?" Myotismon questioned. "What makes him so special to you..." He wondered until he figured something out. "Wait. Don't tell me! You're human partner is that boy's mother?!" He could tell he was right. "This is perfect. I'll have my revenge on the digidestined for foiling my plans before, and I'll have my revenge on you and your human partner. That's what I call killing two birds with one stone.
"I won't let you!" Gatomon shouted as she leaped at him and tried to attack him. She threw her paw at him, but he was able to catch her attack and strike her back to the ground.
"Do you honestly believe you can defeat me alone? Even if I don't have all my power, you can't possibly match my power." Myotismon mocked.
"If it takes everything I have, I swear I will stop you and keep Musuko safe!" Gatomon vowed. Musuko is everything to Kari, and that means he's everything to Gatomon.
"Well, you just used up your ninth life." Myotismon said as he got ready to attack.
"Crimson Lightning!" Myotismon formed an energy whip and lashed at Gatomon. He plans to show her no mercy and remind her why she never should have turned against him.

The Park
"Here it comes, Koji! Bring the heat!" Musuko called. The kids were still playing around and were starting to enjoy themselves again, forgetting about their little troubles. Musuko rolled the ball over to Koji and Koji kicked it as hard as he could. It was actually a pretty good kick. "Nice one, little bro!" Musuko said. He went on to get the ball back.
"Check it out. A few people are live streaming some sort of vampire digimon and a white cat fighting. This is happening now." Musuko over heard a couple people talking.
"Isn't that digimon a Gatomon? Who is the other one?"
"No clue." Gatomon? Fighting a vampire digimon? Musuko might not be the brightest, but even he could tell that it has to be Myotismon, and the Gatomon fighting has to be his mother's problems.
"Musuko? What are you doing? I thought we were playing." Koji asked as the kids gathered around. Musuko knows the parents won't like it, but he's got to do this.
"Guys, Myotismon is here now. We have to go. Now!" Musuko said.
"Myotismon? Out of all the digimon our parents fought, he was considered one of the most powerful and dangerous." Benson said. This sounds like it could be rather scary to the other
"But we need to fight now. Koji, Gatomon is fighting him right now." Musuko said.
"What?! Mom's Gatomon?!" Koji said.
"It has to be her." Musuko said.
"Wait. Did I hear that right?" All of the kids looked and saw Yolei and Clare overheard them that time. "Gatomon is fighting Myotismon?" Clare questioned.
"Alone?! That's not good." Yolei said. "Gatomon might be one tough kitty, but she can't fight Myotismon alone."
"That's why we're going to help. Benson, Natalie, Mason; let's get going. We've got to help Gatomon." Musuko said. The three of them were in full agreement.
"Awesome! A fight! Can we come too?!" Tio said as some of the kids seemed excited.
"No way!" Musuko said as he sounded firm on this. "This isn't a game or something for amusement! This digimon is dangerous! You guys could get hurt, or worst! You can't protect yourselves like we can!" It was surprising to hear Musuko talk like that, but he made perfect sense.
"It doesn't matter because none of you kids are going." Yolei said.
"Sorry, but we have to do this. Let's go, Veemon!" Musuko said with Veemon in full agreement. All four of their digimon had them digivolve and they hurried off to help Gatomon. All of their friends were hoping they would be okay, especially Koji since it's his family in trouble. As the four of them hurried off to the fight, they just missed Kari. Kari was coming to the park to see how everything was when she saw the four digimon hurried off the way they did with her son and the others. Knowing one son is in danger and the other is safe in good hands, she hurried off after Musuko.
...
Gatomon
Gatomon was really struggling against Myotismon. It was brave of her to try and fight alone, but she's not doing so well. Myotismon is too strong for her. Taking the fight further into the city, Gatomon bounced against the ground like a rock over water.
"Can't you see that it's pointless?" Myotismon questioned.
"I don't care what happens to me as long as I take you down with me!" Gatomon said as she tried attacking him once again.
"Grisly Wing!" Myotismon unleashed a flock of bats. Gatomon tried to fight them off, but she was overpowered. The bats had her surrounded and it was like they were trying to eat her alive. Myotismon awaited for Gatomon to break apart, but then she was saved by a ray of light shooting through the bats and saved her.
"Gatomon!" All of them looked and saw Musuko and the others arrived to help her.
"Musuko?! What are you kids doing here?!" Gatomon questioned.
"What do you think? We're here to help." Musuko said as the kids jumped off their partners.
"No! You don't know him! He's dangerous!" Gatomon said.
"It's fine if they want to be here. I came here to be rid of them." Myotismon said as he was willing to take them on.
"Grisly Wing!" Myotismon unleashed another flock of bats and tried to attack all of them at once and tried to attack all of them, including the kids. All of the digimon tried to push through the bats and tried to fight them off. Angemon tried attacking by attacking with his staff, but Myotismon simply jumped out of the way. Togemon and Birdramon tried attacking together, but he made his way around both of them and struck both of them.
"Come on! We can beat him and... Aw!" Musuko suddenly felt a stinging sensation on his face.
"What's wrong?" Mason asked.
"Feels like something scratched me." Musuko said as he noticed a small scratch on his face.
"Musuko! Gatomon!" Musuko and Gatomon turned around and saw another joining the party was none other than his mother.
"Kari/Mom!" Kari hurried over and was suddenly scared and surprised to see Myotismon standing there.
"It's you." Myotismon said as he remembered Kari quite well. "My, you've certainly grown. Everything is working out perfectly!" He claimed with a sinister laugh.
"Musuko, you and the kids need to get out of here!" Kari said.
"Mom, quite worrying! We're fine! Veedramon, get him!" Musuko called.
"You got it!" Veedramon said. He charged right at Myotismon, but that's exactly what Myotismon wanted. Myotismon actually let the attack come as Veedramon smashed his head against him and knocked Myotismon away...a little too easily. Myotismon still managed to land on his feet, but something about that was off.
"Hold on. What was that? He didn't even try to protect himself?" Angemon questioned. Something was strange about this, especially with how Myotismon smirked. Suddenly, everyone heard Musuko and he was acting like he was in pain with how he held his chest and dropped to his knees.
"Musuko?! What?! What's wrong?!" Kari asked as she rushed to her son and was greatly concerned now.
"I don't know. This pain came out of nowhere." Musuko said as he felt like he got hit by a cannonball.
"It seems my little curse is working." Myotismon claimed.
"Curse?! What do you mean?! What have you done now?!" Gatomon said as she knew he had a part in all of this. That was when Myotismon held up his finger and one of his bats came and landed on it. This bat had a purple C right on its head.
"When I unleashed my bats, you missed this one." Myotismon said. "I unleashed it with a swarm and was hoping to get one of you kids, and it did." He claimed and he was right. His last attack had that bat fly out and it managed to fly near Musuko with it scratching his face. That was when Musuko was marked with his curse. "Now, the boy and I are linked together. Any pain I feel, he will feel as well." Musuko and Myotismon are now linked together? That would explain why he didn't avoid the attack. That means Musuko is in pain because Myotismon was attacked. "You digimon try to protect your human friends, but how are you going to do that now?"
"Leave Musuko alone!" Veedramon demanded.
"And what will you do about it? Any pain I feel, he will feel. That means if you destroy me, you'll destroy the boy." Myotismon threatened. This isn't good. Myotismon is using Musuko like a shield. Just when you think this digimon couldn't sink any lower. They have to defeat Myotismon, but how can they do that without hurting Musuko?
...
Myotismon's curse seems to have given him the advantage. Unable to fight back without hurting Musuko, how can they possibly hope to defeat him. Unwilling to let the darkness get the better of him and his friends, Musuko finds a way to fight back.
