Coming up with a devious plan, Myotismon went to the human world to defeat Musuko and the others. When he arrived, he was faced with Gatomon. Gatomon attempted to stop him to protect the kids, but she could not match his power. When Musuko and the others tried to help her out, Myotismon put his plan into action. Having placed a curse on Musuko, any pain Myotismon feels will be caused to Musuko as well. How can they defeat him without hurting Musuko?

A Miracle Shines

Myotismon is playing what might be his most underhanded tactic yet. Having place that little curse on Musuko, they can't destroy or harm him without doing the same to Musuko. As Musuko is withering in pain, all of them are wondering what they can do. The one taking this the hardest was Kari. Her own son is in pain because of one of her worst enemies and she can't do anything to help him.

"So, I'm waiting. Are any of you going to dare attempt to defeat me now?" Myotismon taunted knowing they won't. "You could destroy me, but your little friend will be destroyed as well. Humans aren't as durable as digimon. I might last longer than that child can."

"You coward! Leave Musuko out of this and fight us fairly!" Veedramon demanded.

"I'm afraid you might have to use more than just words to persuade me." Myotismon taunted.

"You got it!" Veedramon claimed as he was going to attack him again, but Angemon stood in the way.

"Wait, Veedramon! We have to be smart about this!" Angemon claimed. "He wants us to attack because he's not going to try and protect himself. He wants that pain to come at him so that Musuko will be in pain as well." They're in a real bind with this one.

"Musuko, it's going to be okay." Kari said as she did what any mother would when they see their child like this. She did her best to comfort him, but there's not much more she can do. "Myotismon, please, I'm begging here. Please spare my son."

"Don't do that, Mom. Don't beg to him." Musuko said.

"No, please beg. I'm enjoying this." Myotismon mocked as he was taking delight in this. "If none of you will attack, I will!"

"Crimson Lightning!" Myotismon used his attack and tried attacking all of the digimon. They couldn't attack, but this means they can defend themselves and tried to evade his attacks.

"What do we do? How do we fight him without hurting, Musuko?" Natalie said. They just can't see a way out of this. All they can do is continue to avoid his attacks and try to defend against them.

"Let's get him!" Veedramon called as he wasn't thinking and tried to attack.

"Veedramon, don't!" Kari called out of fear what might happen to Musuko.

"Are you really going to risk hurting your own partner?" Myotismon taunted. That got Veedramon to stop in his tracks. Veedramon and Musuko have been together since Musuko was born and Veedramon was just an egg. They're like a part of each other. He can't bring himself to hurt Musuko. "You fool!" Myotismon attacked Veedramon and managed to him right in the chest. "How did I ever lose to those who were so soft, unwilling to do whatever it takes to cease victory."

"You really are a coward!" Gatomon claimed. "Why can't you fight fair and not use a child as a shield?!"

"Because I am willing to do whatever it takes to win." Myotismon said. "I should have realized it sooner. Humans and digimon are quite dependent on each other. Digimon grow stronger because of the humans while the humans have protection. I didn't realize before that I could use that to my advantage."

"What do you mean?" Natalie said. Myotismon was going to explain, but that was when they heard a series of sirens. All of them looked and saw a police force showing up. Ever since digimon have lived in the human world, digimon are even working with police. That's why rookie and champion digimon are there and lined up with her. The police were doing their job and were ready for digimon attacks this time.

"Attention! You are disturbing the peace and putting the innocent in danger!" The police chief said. "Get down on the ground and surrender now!"

"Does that apply to us?" Mason questioned.

"I think so." Benson said.

"What is this?" Myotismon said as he found this to be a joke.

"Wait! Don't attack him!" Kari called. "He's far too strong, and too dangerous! My son is also at risk! There's more to this than you think!" She tried to warn the police, but none of them were listening. Myotismon didn't feel threatened by this at all. He just moved one step closer to the police. "Myotismon, please don't!" Either he's going to attack or he's going to let them attack him. Kari didn't like either option.

"Stop where you are or we will be forced to attack!" The police warned Myotismon.

"You clearly don't know who you are dealing with!" Myotismon claimed.

"Evil Squall!" Myotismon unleashed some of his dark power up into the sky. When that happened, darkness literally rained upon the police and it was like acid. They tried to take cover from the rain, but Myotismon wasn't going to let them off the hook that easily.

"Nightmare Claw!" Myotismon then unleashed a dark ghost-like creature that phased right through some of the digimon and left them paralyzed.

"Stop him!" Benson called as he wanted this stopped before anyone got hurt. Angemon flew straight at Myotismon, but Myotismon fought back as he smashed his fist against Angemon and knocked him down.

"We might not be able to harm him, but we can hold him down." Natalie said. Birdramon and Togemon tried to do just that. They tried to hold Myotismon down, but Myotismon fought back as he attacked both of them and knocked them away. Veedramon went in and managed to get a hold of Myotismon.

"Now I've got you! Undo what you did to Musuko, right now!" Veedramon demanded.

"Think again." Myotismon claimed.

"Cloud Minion!" Myotismon unleashed a spiral of dark mist with it smashing against Veedramon and he was forced to let go of Myotismon. Nothing is working against him. He might not have all of his power restored to him, but he's still greatly powerful.

"As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, humans and digimon seem to have a symbiotic relationship." Myotismon said. "I can't believe I didn't realize this sooner. I can use that relationship to my advantage. Since the digimon is suppose to protect the human, and since the digimon are the ones that do the actual fighting, I don't need to focus on defeating the digimon. I just simply need to use the human. None of you digimon would dare want any harm to come to your human friends."

"You really are the lowest of the low if you would resort to such methods to get your way." Gatomon said as she continued to get angry.

"You might think it's deplorable, but I think it works to obtain victory." Myotismon said. "Take a look at what's happening around you. That child is under my curse, so any pain I feel will be felt by him as well. See?" He said as he gave himself a pinch and Musuko felt it as well. "And have a look at this." He said as he gestured to the police. "Humans and digimon coexisting together... I remember that humans couldn't stand digimon, thinking we were dangerous monsters. Now you work and live together...only to be defeated together!"

"What's your point? Humans and digimon working together and living together unlocks great power. It's only natural to care about each other." Gatomon said. "Not that you would ever understand. You've been so obsessed with ruling over both worlds and covering them in darkness that you never learned to care about anyone other than yourself. We all worked so hard for the world to be as it is now, and you want to ruin it!"

"Enough talk." Veedramon said as he got back up.

"Careful. Must you be constantly reminded of this situation?" Myotismon said. He proved his point as he bit his own arm. Musuko screamed in pain as it felt like his own arm was bit. Veedramon wants to beat this guy so badly, but he can't without putting Musuko at risk.

"Monster." Veedramon insulted as he hated this.

"This is what happens when you care about anyone other than yourself. You all are just too weak and soft!" Myotismon claimed as he formed another whip and smashed it against Veedramon. They aren't going to be able to hold out much longer at this rate.

"That does it! Kari, we have to do something!" Gatomon said. Kari wants to, but she isn't sure what they can do.

'What should I do? What should I do?' Kari thought as she stared down at her poor little boy. 'My son is in pain right before my eyes and I can't do anything to help him.' Kari feels like she's being torn apart. She doesn't want anymore harm to come to him. This is exactly what she wanted to avoid, but now she feels like she doesn't have the power to do anything.

"Just face the facts. This time, I've won." Myotismon claimed.

"You...haven't won...yet." Musuko claimed as he fought through the pain and was getting back on his feet.

"What is this? What kind of child is this?" Myotismon questioned as he's never witnessed a child acting this tough before. "How is it this child is even able to stand or isn't crying?"

"I'm not going to. Come on, Veedramon. Don't let him push you around." Musuko said. Veedramon might have wanted to protect him, but he wants to fight with Musuko as well. That's why they both won't back down.

"Musuko, you're hurt." Natalie said.

"I can fight." Musuko said.

"Musuko, no. Just stay down." Kari said as she didn't want to see her son get hurt anymore.

"Not happening, Mom." Musuko said. "You and Dad never would have backed down to him, and I'm not scared of him. We can beat him, and we'll make sure he stays beaten."

"I would love to see how you can do that." Myotismon mocked. "What can you possibly do. You are just a mere child."

"But you can see I'm made out of some tough stuff." Musuko said. "My parents and everyone worked so hard to get the world what it is today. A world where we humans and digimon can live together. You want to destroy that. Maybe I am young, but at least I understand what's going on." He claimed as he thought about all that happened to him lately. "Digimon and humans were placed in danger. Sure, it was cool to feel like some sort of big hero and be part of this great adventure, but I do know it's not a game. I began to see it wasn't a game, especially after what happened to Hudiemon. A lot of digimon have put their trust and faith in me and my friends. We can't let them down. We have to win."

"Musuko!" Kari said as she was amazed how well her son understand what was happening.

"You really think you can win and defeat me?" Myotismon said.

"I know I can, and we will. Veedramon!" Musuko called,

"Yeah. We can win." Veedramon said as he got up. Musuko has such strong faith. Despite the odds, he believes they can win. It began to to build some sort of power as his digivice began to glow.

"I know we can win this and we will. Inside us is the power we need, and it's time to bring it out!" Musuko shouted as he did just that. His digivice shined a golden light that had his crest right on it. The light was so powerful and almost felt...divine. Veedramon could feel the power, and it was time for him to really use it.

"Veedramon digivolve to..." Veedramon began to digivolve again, and it was the same as before. Musuko's digivice unleashed a powerful beam that was empowering Veedramon with an astral form of his next level forming around him. Then, his data was rearranged and began to fill it up so that he could take on his next form: a bigger dragon with wings and part of his body yellow. "AeroVeedramon!"

AeroVeedramon stood in his new form with everyone amazed. Musuko actually managed to get Veedramon to digivolve into the ultimate level. Now, Musuko and AeroVeedramon stood proudly and bravely against Myotismon.

"What?! He digivolved again?! How?!" Myotismon questioned as even he didn't expect that.

"Amazing! I've never even seen this digimon before!" Kari said.

"I've heard of AeroVeedramon, but I've never seen it before!" Gatomon said.

"AeroVeedramon, my parents beat this guy before. Let's finish what they started!" Musuko said. AeroVeedramon did just that as he flew at Myotismon and smashed his fist against Myotismon and pounded him against the ground.

"Fool! Your partner will..." Myotismon was astonished to see that Musuko was perfectly fine.

"Look! Musuko isn't hurt!" Benson said.

"No! Whatever that light was somehow broke my curse!" Myotismon complained as the tide has turn against him now. AeroVeedramon gave Myotismon another strike as he knocked him into the air.

"Finish it!" Musuko called. AeroVeedramon flew up and grabbed a hold of Myotismon, kept flying straight to a building.

"Say uncle!" AeroVeedramon said.

"Never!" Myotismon said.

"Too bad for you." AeroVeedramon said as he smashed Myotismon against a building and held him down. "This time...stay gone!"

"V-Wing Blade!" AeroVeedramon unleashed his own attack at point-blank. He unleashed a V-shape attack that blasted through Myotismon...and the building. Regardless, even Myotismon couldn't withstand an attack like that and was completely destroyed, turned to data.

"He beat Myotismon...and he made it look easy compared to when we fought him." Gatomon said as she and Kari were speechless. This was incredible, especially since Musuko managed to get Veedramon to digivolve to his ultimate-level.

"Way to go, big guy!" Musuko cheered as his partner flew down.

"We sure showed him." AeroVeedramon said as they were feeling good about themselves.

"Musuko... That was simply incredible." Kari said.

"Thanks, Mom. Maybe now you can see we can handle ourselves just fine. You don't need to worry about us." Musuko said as he wanted to show his mother that despite how young he and his friends are, they can handle some rotten digimon.

"Except for the part that you destroyed a building when you didn't need to." Kari said as she showed AeroVeedramon just wrecked a building. "Don't even convince me that was collateral damage. That part was just completely reckless."

"Freeze! Get down on the ground! Now!" The police shouted. That ruined the moment as they forgot that the police force was there.

"And there's also the matter of the police." Kari said. It seems that despite how strong the kids are getting, as well as how much they understand what's going on with them, they still have a lot to learn...like how to stay out of trouble with the authorities.

In order to prove himself to Arukenimon, Mummymon is the next one to attack. He heads for the human world and finds Benson. Benson must tap into the power of his own crest or else Angemon is the one who is going to need bandages.
