Learning of Daemon and his forces in the Digital World, both parents and children are working to find and stop them. Crossing paths with Tai and Tyson, Mason and his family went to the tower. That was where they crossed paths with Doumon, but they were able to defeat it thanks to Musuko and AeroVeedramon lending a hand. At the same time, Koji met ShadowWereGarurumon and it seems that ShadowWereGarurumon has set his sights on him.

Jimmy and the Sea Monster
Since crossing paths with Koji, ShadowWereGarurumon is suspicious that Koji might be the child everyone is looking for. That's why he's watching the house and kept his eyes on Koji. His encounter with Koji was rather odd to him, but it's not going to deter him from his mission.
'What a weird kid. Why wasn't he scared of me when he saw me?' ShadowWereGarurumon wondered as he stared at Koji a safe distance and into the house. 'I never saw anyone that wasn't scared of me.' He thought as he remembered back to his life before joining forces with Daemon. Everywhere he went, he was met with the same reaction. Everywhere he went, other digimon feared him, judging him without really knowing him. 'Before I joined forces with Daemon, I was lone wolf. I wondered alone around the Digital World for years. Everywhere I went, others took one good look at me and just ran off scared. Even when I just minding my own business, they all acted like they were afraid of me.' Being treated like that is sure to take a toll on anyone. It isn't really fair or right to be judged like that, but no one would give this guy a real chance. 'It was like that until I met Master Daemon. He saw that I could be useful to him. That's why he took me in. He taught me that I am evil. I am another form of darkness and that spreading fear is what I do. Ever since, I humbly served him and shall do what he says.' ShadowWereGarurumon was clearly loyal, but is he really going to hurt and innocent and nice child like Koji.
"I'll see you later! I'm just going down the beach!" Musuko called. He and Veemon went out through the back and hurried off down the beach. That might give ShadowWereGarurumon the opportunity he needs with Koji.
...
Musuko
"Come on, Veemon! We need to be in shape! After what happened at the tower, we need to be ready for an attack anywhere." Musuko said. "Daemon isn't just looking for that fifth child. He's also looking to take us down. We need to be ready because no bad digimon is going to wreck our city."
"You realize you're only seven, right?" Veemon said as he couldn't believe how Musuko is pushing them. The two of them kept on running like that until they saw someone up ahead.
"Jimmy!" Musuko called as he saw him and Bukamon on the beach.
"Hi, Musuko." Jimmy said.
"What are you doing on the beach?" Musuko questioned.
"Playing in the sand, taking in the ocean breeze, the usual." Bukamon said.
"I like to come around and see what I can find on the beach." Jimmy said. "I just hope I don't get sand everywhere. That stuff is like glitter."
"You're just digging through the sand to find whatever? That doesn't sound like fun." Musuko said. "The beach is for fun activities. Come on, let's do some running." He offered, but Jimmy didn't seem like they were into it.
"You know Jimmy is more brain than muscle." Veemon reminded.
"Come on, Jimmy. It wouldn't hurt. You run around and play all the time. This won't be any different." Bukamon said, but Jimmy wasn't sure. He's always been a little bashful.
"Hold that thought. What's that over there?" Veemon questioned. They looked further down the beach and saw something unusual partially buried in the sand.
"I don't know." Musuko said as they weren't sure what it is. Musuko tried to get a closer look at it.
"Musuko, what if it's dangerous?" Jimmy questioned.
"Only one way to know." Musuko said as he kept going. Jimmy was nervous about the whole thing, but they followed after. Musuko tried to get closer to what they were looking at. That was when it began to move and saw it was a large sea digimon. It started flailing around and now it was dangerous to get close. It even swung a claw at them, but they were able to move out of the way. "What is that thing?!"
"It's Gusokumon! That's one crabby digimon. Get it? Crabby when it resembles a lobster?" Bukamon said, but they goraned about the joke. It was a digimon, but it sure didn't look friendly. It kept lashing out with how it flailed its claws around.
"What's it doing?" Musuko questioned.
"Musuko, look at it's tail!" Veemon pointed out. They all looked and saw that it's tail were pinned down by rocks. "How did that happen to the big guy?"
"Good question. Here's a better one. What are we going to do?" Bukamon questioned. "Gusokumon is a sea digimon. He might be able to last outside of water, but he still needs it. The ocean is right there, but he can't get to it. All this sand will probably make him dry out." Being a fellow sea digimon, he can understand how that must be.
"Okay, let's just help the big guy out." Musuko said as he tried to get closer to Gusokumon, but the digimon tried attacking him when he got close enough with Musuko just out of reach. "Hey! I'm trying to help you!"
"He probably thinks we're going to hurt him while he's trapped." Veemon said. "Musuko, we've got to do something to help it."
"I'm going to rush back to the house and get some help. You guys just stay here and keep an eye on things." Musuko said. The others agreed to that and Musuko hurried back to his home. Hopefully they can do something to help Gusokumon.
...
Later
Musuko made it back to the house and called the others for some help. Mason, Benson, and Natalie all showed up. When Musuko told his parents what's going on, he brought Davis and his Veemon over to help out.
"Oh boy. He really doesn't look good." Davis said.
"How did this happen? Where did these rocks come from?" Natalie questioned.
"I don't know, but we have to do something to help it." Musuko said. "We've got to get those rocks off it's tail. The problem is that it doesn't seem to want our help. It will attack if we get close."
"Come on. It can't be that bad." Mason said as he tried to get closer to Gusokumon, but Gusokumon tried to attack again. When he tried attacking Mason, Palmon stretched out her vines and pulled him away before he got hurt. "I see what you mean now."
"But if Gusokumon won't let us help it, how can we get those rocks off?" Benson questioned.
"I don't know, but we need to do something soon." Bukamon alerted. "Who knows how long he's been here. All this sand and sunshine could dry Gusokumon up. We need Gusokumon back in the water."
"Kids, it's too dangerous to get close. We need a way to keep Gusokumon down while we removed the rocks." Davis said. "I think we might need ExVeemon for this one. You think you'll be able to do it after so long?"
"No problem." Davis' Veemon said. He did it like riding a bike. He became ExVeemon and tried to hold Gusokumon down. That might have ended up being a mistake because Gusokumon was flailing around once again and was trying to shake ExVeemon off.
"Hey! We're trying to help you!" Davis called.
"I think you're going to need more muscle power than that. Gusokumon is an ultimate. I don't think ExVeemon can hold him down." Bukamon said. Gusokumon kept lashing around and was just too strong for ExVeemon. He ended up throwing ExVeemon off and he almost landed on top of everyone. All of them scattered to avoid being crushed, but ExVeemon crashing against the ground knocked Jimmy right near Gusokumon's face. When Jimmy realized that, he began to to get scared thinking Gusokumon was going to attack. The weird thing was that Gusokumon was perfectly calm.
"Uh... Hello..." Jimmy said.
"Hey. He's not attacking Jimmy." Natalie said. "Maybe we can get close enough to help." They tried, but Gusokumon attacked them instead with all of them just staying out of his reach. "Hey! That's not fair!" Jimmy was really scared and nervous he was going to be attacked again, but Gusokumon didn't do anything to him. "Weird. It will attack us, but not Jimmy?"
"What is it about Jimmy that Gusokumon seems to like?" Musuko questioned.
"We know it's not his personality. Ha!" Bukamon claimed. "Maybe it has something to do with the ocean scented soap that he uses when we take our baths. He probably thinks Jimmy is from the ocean, his home."
"Jimmy, do you use ocean scented soap in your baths?" Musuko questioned.
"Mom says it's good for my skin!" Jimmy called.
"Okay... This actually helps us!" Benson claimed. "Jimmy, you need to keep Gusokumon calm so we can get those rocks off!"
"Me?!" Jimmy said as he seemed really nervous to do that.
"You can do it, Jimmy! If you're anything like your father, it means you can be relied on!" Davis encouraged. Jimmy was rather scared to do this, but this poor digimon does need help. He was rather shy and timid, but carefully reached out to Gusokumon until he was able to place his hand on Gusokumon's face and he was perfectly fine.
"Come on. Now's our chance. Let's get those rocks off." Benson said. All of them had their digimon digivolve to champion so it would be easier to get the rocks off. However, Gusokumon was still provoked.
"Hey! Hey! It's okay!" Jimmy said as he tried to keep Gusokumon focused on him. "They're my friends. They just want to help you, but you need to let them. It's going to be okay." Gusokumon was a little anxious, but Jimmy seemed to be calming down. "It's okay if you're nervous or scared. I get like that myself. I usually keep quiet and don't like being the center of attention, but you need help and that's what we're here to do." Gusokumon was starting to feel calm and relaxed. The two of them were starting to bond and connect. Jimmy was doing rather well in his part as the others all managed to get the rocks off of his tail.
"Last one." Benson said as they moved the last rock and freed Gusokumon's tail. However, Gusokumon cried out in pain when he tried to move it.
"Oh no. Guys, it looks like Gusokumon's tail is hurt. It might even be broken." Natalie said.
"That's not good. Sea animals rely on their tails to move through the water." Jimmy said.
"Ob man..." Davis said as he searched around his pockets. "I left my phone back at the house. Kids, I'm going to run back and get it. I'm gonna call Jimmy's dad. We might need his help with this one."
"Hurry, Dad." Musuko said with Davis running back to the house as fast as he could.
"Maybe we should move Gusokumon in the water so he doesn't dry out." Mason said.
"Good idea, but let's keep him in shallow water. There's no way Gusokumon can swim with his tail like that." Benson said.
"Don't worry about him. You'll all be swimming with the fishes soon enough." They all looked up to the sky and saw Vilemon up there riding with a swarm of Kuwagamon.
"Vilemon! What are you doing here?!" Musuko questioned.
"You bratty kids fell right into our little trap." Vilemon said. "Now that we all have you together, we can get rid of all of you. All we needed was the right bait...and the right leverage to use against you." He claimed as he was obviouslyl referring to Gusokumon.
"You monster! You did this to Gusokumon just to lure us out?!" Natalie said.
"You're going to pay for that!" Musuko claimed.
"I think the one who is going to pay is poor Gusokumon! Get them, Kuwagamon!" Vilemon ordered. The swarm of Kuwagamon dived down and tried to attack as they used their pincers and claws to attack. Some of them attacked Gusokumon while he was hurt.
"Gusokumon!" Jimmy called as he was scared for him now.
"Back off from the big blue lobster!" Veedramon called as he grabbed one Kuwagamon and tossed him off. The other digimon tried to protect Gusokumon. ExVeemon was able to help as he smashed his fist against a couple Kuwagamon and kept them away. Birdramon flew around and tried smashing her wings against the Kuwagamon. Even Angemon did what he could as he defended and attacked with his staff.
"It will be okay, Gusokumon. It will be okay." Jimmy assured. He was rather scared himself, but more scred for Gusokumon.
"Jimmy, behind you!" Bukamon called. One of the Kuwagamon tried to attack him, but Gusokumon protected Jimmy as it knocked Kuwagamon away with one of it's claws. However, Gusokumon already looked rather tired and weak. "Oh no. Gusokumon must have dried out more than we thought. We need to get it in the water fast."
"Hang in there, Gusokumon." Jimmy encouraged, but it wasn't looking good. The Kuwagamon kept attacking and swarming all of them. Gusokumon didn't like this. That's why it tried pushing Jimmy away. "What are you doing?"
"Gusokumon is telling you to leave. It's getting too dangerous around here." Bukamon said.
"No!" Jimmy said without thinking twice. "I can't just leave you like this!" This was astonishing. Jimmy is usually easily scared, but he's fighting the fear to help Gusokumon. "Guys, we need to help Gusokumon now!"
"And we will! Birdramon, let's burn these bugs!" Natalie called as she held out her digivice.
"Birdramon digivolve to...Garudamon!"
"Fire Hurricane!" Garudamon generated a tornado of fire. Bugs hate fire, so the Kuwagamon didn't stand a chance. The Kuwagamon got swept up by the tornado and were taken out with Gusokumon being protected. Vilemon might have jumped off the one he was riding so he didn't get caught in it, but the Kuwagamon were still defeated.
"Why can't I ever get rid of these kids?!" Vilemon complained before he flew off.
"You're not getting off that easily!" Garudamon said as she swung her claw and smashed it against Vilemon with Vilemon being thrown across the city.
"That will teach you!" Natalie called as Vilemon's little plan went up in smoke now.
"See, Gusokumon? My friends are here to help and everything is going to be okay." Jimmy assured. Gusokumon certainly felt secured knowing Jimmy was there for him. Any time there's a digimon in help, a good digidestined would be there to help, and that's exactly what Jimmy just did.
...
Later
After protecting Gusokumon, they just had to keep Gusokumon wet and safe until help arrived. Help soon did as Joe arrived and was able to fix Gusokumon out. He was able to create a slit for Gusokumon's tail, so Gusokumon should be able to swim through the water now.
"There you go, big guy. That should, but don't overdo it." Joe said. Gusokumon tried it out as he moved deeper into the water and was able to move around. "There. All better." Gusokumon felt great to swim again, and it was thanks to Jimmy. Before swimming off, Gusokumon used its claw to try and hug Jimmy for what he did for it. With that, Gusokumon swam out in the ocean and was off.
"Bye, Gusokumon!" Jimmy called.
"I'm real proud, Jimmy. You did good." Joe said.
"I did? I didn't do much." Jimmy said.
"Are you kidding? You were the only one that Gusokumon liked." Bukamon said. "We never would have been able to help Gusokumon if it weren't for you."
"Bukamon's right. I'm real impressed with Jimmy." Natalie said. "He usually acts so scared, but he really stepped up and helped Gusokumon today."
"I guess when it mattered the most, Jimmy really stepped up no matter how scared he was." Musuko said as they were all impressed with what Jimmy did, and Jimmy surprised even himself. He's just glad he was able to help Gusokumon.
...
Koji
"Salamon, do you think everything is okay?" Koji asked.
"I'm sure it is." Salamon said. Koji and Salamon were behind the house and were waiting for Musuko and the others to get back. Knowing about the Gusokumon, he was rather worried that everything was fine. With Koji distracted like that, it was the perfect opportunity for ShadowWereGarurumon to strike.
'Now's my chance. If this kid is the child we're looking for, I can't let him escape.' ShadowWereGarurumon thought. He carefully made his way closer to Koji without being seen. As he moved closer, he got his claws ready.
"Huh?" Suddenly, Koji turned right to him. "It's you!" He said as he seemed happy to see him. Seeing him like that, ShadowWereGarurumon stopped what he was doing. Just by looking at Koji's smiling face, he couldn't bring himself to actually attack him for some reason. "What are you doing here? Do you live near here?"
"I... I..." ShadowWereGarurumon wasn't sure what to say. For some reason, he just couldn't bring himself to attack.
"Koji! Are you out there?! Come in and help me get dinner ready!" Kari called.
"Okay, Mom!" Koji called. "Do you want to come in and..." He was about to invite ShadowWereGarurumon in, but he saw that he was already gone. "Where'd he go?"
"I don't know. He's weird." Salamon said.
"That's not nice. You shouldn't judge people without knowing them." Koji said as he went inside the house. As for ShadowWereGarurumon, he just got out of there and hurried off, but he won't steer away from the mission.
'You won't be so lucky next time, little Koji. Just you wait. If it turns out you are the child we're looking for, you won't escape again.' ShadoWereGarurumon thought. Will he actually bring himself to harm Koji?
...
As the digidestined tried to figure out how they're going to find the fifth child, Uria is the only one that doesn't want to get involved. She might need to when she is attacked by another one of Daemon's digimon. None of these children might be safe.
Next Time: Good Uria Hunting
