Hello, NZURI here! Welcome to my first-ever "Until Dawn" fanfiction. I know I'm a decade late, but the fandom is still going strong! I'm addicted to this game; it exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether it's watching the cutscenes or reimagining the story with my own twists and choices, I never get tired of it.
My favorite characters are Josh, Sam, and Matt.
I love the dynamic between the characters. The game makes even the "bitchy" ones vulnerable and the "nice" ones sometimes deceitful. This realism, with all its flaws, makes the characters more relatable.
Here's what to expect from my story:
This fanfiction features changes in dialogue, additional scenes, and plenty of flashbacks. If you're looking for a straightforward rewrite of "Until Dawn" without any added depth, this isn't for you. This story expands and enriches the original narrative.
There will be trigger warnings for certain content, which I won't spoil here. Please read with caution. My OC has a fear that might resonate deeply with some of you.
Speaking of OCs, let me introduce Kida Sinclair. She's African-American and now a Canadian citizen. She stands at 5'5" with a dark complexion, round expressive dark eyes, full lips, and dark type 4 hair that's dyed purple pre-Washington twins incident. Her hair is styled in a curly fro with bangs that frame her face, and she has a toned body. For a visual reference, think of Justine Skye. Kida is 18 in the prologue and 19 in the main story. I want you, the readers, to guess what Kida's traits are as you read.
Kida's attire:
- In the prologue, she wears oatmeal-colored leggings, a white long-sleeved ribbed shirt, an oatmeal sherpa jacket layered with a white puffer jacket, a white scarf, and matching snow boots. She accessorizes with gold jewelry: a dainty necklace, small hoop earrings, and an oval ring that makes her wine-colored nails pop.
- In the main story, she wears a brown athletic set (jacket and leggings), a cream puffer vest, a brown and cream scarf, and snow boots. Her accessories include a silver charm bracelet, small silver hoops, and rings that complement her wine-colored nails.
I hope you enjoy this story and grow attached to Kida as I have. When I play "Until Dawn" now, I often wish she were part of the game. I especially loved writing her relationship with Matt and their dynamic. While I've posted this on Wattpad (Melanade_), I'm also sharing it here.
