{Disruption and Chaos Arc}

DEM Agent POV: (Diary Entry)

19th of November, 2013, after Scara drove off the remaining capable DEM agents.

The agent would be writing this as he neared his death.

I can't tell if anything I saw was actually real. From my fellow associates being slaughtered to that massive spacial quake that spirit caused. All of this was on my mind as I was crawling on the floor against the strong wind and among the all the rubble left behind by the explosion, clinging on to dear life as I bled from my mouth and back.

My vision was red and bloody, my hearing was distorted, my body too tired for me to even speak. All I could do is groan in pain as I kept crawling, my vision getting slightly blurrier and blurrier with every movement I made.

I slowly turned my head from side to side and looked around at tremendous loss of life and the mass amount of destruction in the wake of the spirits attack.

It felt as if I was Sergeant Paul Jackson from Call of Duty 4 during the mission "aftermath", where he was dying from nuclear poisoning. Except, in this case, this wasn't a nuclear scenario but it sure as hell felt like one.

I then got to a wall which I then leaned back on, once again looking around at what used to be a city full of laughter and typical every day matters turned death zone. I don't know about you, but it sure as hell was somewhat familiar to the Chernobyl incident in 1986 except this wasn't caused by a power plant melting down.

The spirit that did this was not the spirit that Issac is looking for but rather, the one he wants killed. I think the spirit Issac was looking for had the codename "Deus" whereas the other one... I think Issac codenamed him "Balladeer."

The agent then died after that last entry due to blood loss.

Westcott POV:

28th of November, 2013.

I was in my office within the Japanese branch of my glorious company of DEM Industries, sorting through paperwork and looking for leads on Deus as I need to consume her power to carry out my grand plan.

With that said, "Balladeer" is a massive thorn in my side. Not only does he save Deus' apparent love interest at the last second, but he has the audacity to take away something that is rightfully mine!

"Ike, DEM casualties from the England disaster are approximately 800." A voice stated.

"I see. Well, 'Balladeer' is going to be a bigger problem than we thought. But no need to worry. I will find Deus and set our plan into motion once more. Patience is key, Ellen." I replied calmly.

"What do you want me to do Ike?" Ellen asked with a hint of anticipation.

"I want you to run some diagnostics on the disaster then learn of a magic formula we can use to make gear noone has seen before. Of course, I'll help when I get the time." I stated clearly with a sharp tone.

"Yes Ike." Ellen responded before leaving my office to do as I had asked.

"Just you wait Balladeer, I will find those 2 and I will make sure you're driven to the point of despair. Now that I know you're a spirit too, I'll make sure you inverse so I can take your demon king." I thought to myself as I sadistically smiled, getting on with my paperwork.

Scara POV: (OC)

1st of December, 2013.

"It's not until someone hits adolescence they start to realise the unfairness of the world we reside in. The joys of their childhood turn into bittersweet memories as they fight against their own intrusive thoughts. Things they love turn into things they hate, they stray from their own individuality just to blend in, they accept things they don't want to accept because of pressure, they sacrifice their true selves just for some credibility in the social standings. They lose their innocence to say they've grown up, they lose their virginity to say they're good with the opposite sex. Growing up truely is the greatest disaster a person can go through."

"Hey! Check this out!" Exclaimed a child, who was surrounded by his friends at a park nearby the street I was walking down.

"It's not until we realise it's too late that we find out about how the world works and why that's the case. We do that all the while we're in the middle of discovering the full extent of our personalities. We then drift off into different types of groups, depending on what principles we grew up with, which then causes division among the populace as a whole. I'm starting to think people like David Gauntlett and Levi Strauss were telling the truth about what they proposed in their theories."

"Did you guys hear about the new model line up for that dating show?" A random teenaged girl said to her 2 friends with excitement as I walked past them, walking towards Tengu City's media area.

"As we reach adulthood, there comes a time we then have to 'take responsibility' for our actions. Whether it's making money, cleaning up after ourselves, meeting expectations set by other people and of course.. the one thing I hate; falling in love. All of those things are some of the basic things an adult will have to experience, changing their outlook on life either little by little or in a snap of a finger. It all depends on how said 'responsibilities' are executed."

"Hey! Get a move on! Our boss wants this done in an hour!" A random man said to his 3 colleagues as they ran past me with bags in their hands.

"Despite the fact life is home to miracles, it's also home to tragedies. It's home to life, home to death. Home to purity, home to corruption. The existence we all live is made of polar opposites which function like magnets."

I then walked into a hotel I was renting out for a while, opening the door to my room.

"That said, I believe there will be a day I can truely move on from all the effects of adolescence. Sure, it takes a while, but I'm willing to simmer it down bit by bit until it's all gone."

I looked up at the moon smiling as I felt the moonlight illuminate my skin, as if I was a lunar-charged panel.

"To all the fools who ignore the signs of impending tragedies...

You will all drop dead."

I went to my bed, getting into it and looking up at the ceiling. At this point, I was talking to myself.

"I do suppose it's time to confront Westcott again soon.. except this time, without his bodyguards.. as for when I do visit him.. again, I won't kill him. Can't be altering the story too much." I said to myself.

The wind would pick up outside, howling slightly as I looked towards the window of my hotel, hearing the wind.

"Perhaps.. a sign of good things to come? Maybe." I said as I laid back on my pillow and closed my eyes to sleep.

A/N: I've wanted to do a monologue of my main character for a while, so I did it. Also, I'm going to be putting in Hints/Tips for specific sections of a page for what songs to listen to while reading for an example.

Westcott suffers losses on DEM, Scara has his codename; Balladeer, and is now ready to disrupt Westcott in a way that'll set him back a bit.

Thank you for reading!

Next time: Shock and Awe.
