School Confrontations

Two weeks have passed since the school year began at Bayville High. All of the former Casper High students were adjusting to their new school environment. Well, almost all of them, that is.

The A-Listers were still under the delusion that they would still rule their new high school, but unfortunately for them, they were wrong.

As class was dismissed, the history teacher stopped Dash from leaving the classroom as he said.

"Not so fast, Mr. Baxter."

Dash was confused as he was forced to take a seat before asking

"Mr. Portland? What's going on?"

Mr. Portland was getting a few papers before placing them on his desk, in front of Dash, as he said.

"I've been looking through your homework while comparing it to others, and I have found that someone did your homework on your behalf...again."

Dash was suddenly scared as he tried to lie while sweating.

"Uh...I just got...my writing better."

Mr. Portland didn't buy it, as he said with a glare.

"Mr. Baxter, I'm not stupid. I have compared your homework with another student's and I have found that both were done by the same individual."

Dash was really starting to sweat bullets before Mr. Portland marks the blonde's homework with an "F" grade and then writes a slip while he said.

"Perhaps another visit to the principal's office will do some good in changing your ways."

After he hands Dash the slip, the blonde was appalled before he stammered.

"B-but, football tryouts are today, and if I get detention, I'll miss them!

Mr. Portland was adamant in his decision as he said

"Well, you should've thought of that before deciding to cheat on your homework."

Dash just stormed off to the exit of the classroom as he clenched the piece of paper in his fist before he bellows the name of his usual go-to punching bag.

"FENTON!"

At the door of another classroom, Paulina and Dale were also holding slips to the principal's office in their hands. Apparently, their teacher discovered that their homework was again done by someone else as well. The two teens were completely in a state of shock for getting caught.

In fact, all of the A-Listers were caught more than once for cheating on their homework, receiving an "F" on every one of them, and getting detention from Principal Kelly as a result.

None of the A-Listers suspected that Star was the only one who didn't get in any kind of trouble whatsoever. They honestly thought that she was somehow able to give the other teachers the slip when submitting her homework.

What they don't know was that Star was actually doing her own homework, compared to her elite peers. The blonde girl had no intention of cheating at all. In all honesty, she wanted to graduate the right way.

Right now, it was almost time for 4th period to begin as Danny was about to close his locker door. Suddenly, as he was about to take off to get to class, he heard footsteps running towards him; those that were familiar to him.

Turning around, he sees furious Dash charging at him like a very angry rhinoceros with a detention slip in his hand, courtesy of Principal Kelly. Knowing what this is about, Danny rolled his eyes in annoyance as he thought

"Here we go again."

Dash shouts as he gets closer to his target

"YOU'RE DEAD, FENTON!"

Suddenly, Dash slips on a banana peel as he was launched into a waste receptacle that was full of trash; one that was Mr. Lancer was going to remove. He lands upside-down in the can as some of the garbage splashed onto the portly janitor.

As the other students who witnessed it laugh at Dash's misfortune as he tried to get out, Danny sees a smirking Rogue as she said.

"Well, his takeoff was sloppy, but heh stuck the landin' good."

"Nice shot, though." Danny comments.

"Ah didn't do that." Rogue said in response.

"That would be me." Kurt said as he walked up to them. "I figured that jerk was going for you, so I decided to do a little help."

As the teens walked off to their next class, Mr. Lancer bemoaned as he tried getting the garbage off of his uniform

"To think that I was once an educator..."

Unfortunately, the trash can tip over as Dash falls along with it, spilling more garbage onto the floor. Now, the mess was even larger for the portly janitor to clean up as he continued to bemoan

"Now, I'm reduced to this."

As Dash walked off, completely dirty, smelly, and had some garbage from head to toe, Mr. Lancer sighed as he proceeded to clear up the mess.

Time passed as it was now lunchtime. Danny was about to walk over to the table where most of the X-Men, his best friends, and his sister were, when he noticed a foul smell assaulting his nose. He knew it wasn't Todd since he knew firsthand that the lanky boy's odor was worse.

Instead, the odor came from a certain jock drenched in garbage from falling into a trash can earlier. Glancing behind him, Danny sees Dash stomping towards him with a growl. The jock cracked his knuckles as he said with malevolence in his tone.

"You're mine, Fen-toast!"

However, Dash didn't reach three feet away from Danny when a certain adult stepped in and stopped him.

"Mr. Baxter!"

Dash stopped dead in his tracks as he looked to his right, in fear.

"P-Principal Kelly...!"

"It seems you enjoy visiting my office." Principal Kelly said with a glare. "Perhaps a visit there after school can be arranged."

"B-b-b bu-but...?!"

"Would you like to be suspended so early into the new school year?" Kelly asked with a raised eyebrow.

When Dash quickly shook his head, Principal Kelly glared at the blonde again.

"Then I will be expecting you after school."

As the principal walked away, he sniffed the air to find that Dash still had a bad odor before he said

"And do something about that smell of yours."

The students laughed at the blonde's misfortune as he stormed off, humiliated. Danny just proceeds to sit at the table as Sam comments.

"Wow! That makes it what, twelve times in less than a month?"

"No kidding." Tucker adds. "Clearly, Dash and the others don't realize that this high school is new territory for them."

"Guess some lessons, like, have to be learned the hard way." Kitty said with agreement.

However, Danny didn't realize that he was being watched at a distance by a certain group of mutant boys; boys who were suspicious of him and intended to watch his every move.

"We'll see what you're hiding, even if it kills us." Pietro thought to himself before returning to his lunch.

Meanwhile, at a different table, Star was by herself before Valerie joined her, secretly. The blonde girl knew that if Star got caught by Paulina, it would spell the end to her own popularity; something that she was at crossroads. Thankfully, luck was on her side as the Latina was whining and complaining about getting detention again and that the new school was being "unfair" to their group. Also, she was fifty feet away from Star and Valerie's location.

"You okay, girl?" Valerie asks.

"I'm fine." Star fibs.

However, Valerie knew better than that as she rose an eyebrow.

"Come on, now. I know you better than that." Valerie crossed her arms, letting Star know that she is not convinced. "What is it?"

Star knew she couldn't hide anything from Valerie any longer as she finally said to her.

"It's about the A-Listers."

"Let me guess, they still haven't learned their lesson back in Amity Park, right?" Valerie asks as if it was obvious.

"Yeah."

"I'm not surprised that they're still being delusional, given with the amount of detentions they've received." Valerie comments.

However, another thought crossed the African girl's mind.

"I'm still wondering who snitched and got all the dirt on them."

Star paused. After glancing around to see that none of the A-Listers were within sight and hearing range, the blonde girl took a deep breath as she said.

"About that." she hesitates. "Well..." she hesitates. "It was..."

Valerie instantly knew what Star was about to say. She smiled and said.

"Girl, you did the right thing. Too bad Paulina and the other jerks are not willing to change."

It was then that Star said

"Please, don't tell..."

Valerie interrupts her by saying

"Don't worry, girl. Your secrets are safe with me and always will be."

Star breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that Valerie won't reveal what she had just learned to anyone. However, the blonde was still worried due to the simple fact that even walls have ears. A fact that is very true. So, Star had to watch her back.

It was the end of the school day. Kurt, Kitty, and Danny were all in Scott's car as they were in the heart of the city. Music was playing through the radio, music that Danny was recently familiar with. Kurt saw it as he asked.

"You know what this music group is?"

"Yeah. That would be Cryoshell." Danny replies. "Sam introduced me to this band, and I have to admit that they're better than Dumpty Humpty."

Kitty looks back at Danny and asks him

"Isn't that, like, a music group whose name is Humpty Dumpty in reverse?"

"Very same." Danny comments. "They're not that bad."

"Agree to, like, disagree."

Suddenly, Danny's ghost sense went off as Scott, Kitty, and Kurt saw it too and were surprised at seeing it up close.

"Whoa!" Scott said in surprise. "What was that?"

"That would be my ghost sense." Danny replies. "It lets me know when there's a ghost nearby."

Then, the quartet hears a primal roar at a distance. Suddenly, they see a ghost that was in the form of a Triceratops charging through the streets and knocking away various parked cars, causing a frenzied panic as Kurt asks.

"Like that one?!"

"Yeah."

Seeing an alley nearby, Danny says to Scott

"Hey, see if you can park into that alley over there."

Scott sees where Danny was pointing at before he drove his car into the area. When they see that no one was paying attention to where they took a turn, the ghost boy jumps out of the vehicle before transforming into his phantom persona.

"Wait!" Scott said. "We're coming too."

"No, Scott." Danny counters."You guys get back to the Institute. I'll handle this myself."

"We're a team!" Scott scolds. "You can't be going out there by yourself."

"Dude, better to keep your secret under wraps, than risk exposure." Danny said. "Besides, I've given people the slip before."

As Danny took the air, he said to his new friends.

"Get back to the Professor and tell him as well as my parents about this!"

While Danny took flight to pursue the ghostly dinosaur, Scott could only stare before frustration began to take hold.

"Scott, no." Kitty begs. "Danny can, like handle this."

Meanwhile, Danny quickly caught up to the Triceratops as he aimed for the frill. After making a grab, the ghost boy used his momentum to throw the ghost off-blanace as he quipped.

"Sorry to horn in!"

The Triceratops trips as it falls to its side and skids through the streets and sidewalk as Danny realizes what he just said.

"Okay. Bad pun."

In a different area, there was a dark-skinned man who was going to his car in order to return home. However, he hears several crashing sounds before his eyes gaze upon a large reptile and a white-haired boy in black and white on top of it.

Danny saw the individual in the pathway as he panicked.

"Oh, crud!"

Without hesitation, Danny leaps off the downed Triceratops, grabs the man by the shoulders, and turns himself and the man intangible as various debris, overturned vehicles, and other heavy objects pass through them harmlessly.

The Triceratops got back on its feet and stampedes off in a different direction while Danny turns the man back to normal.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

After the man nodded, Danny smiled in relief as he said,

"You should get home."

Danny flies off to pursue the dinosaur once more. Nearby, there was a fruit stand that had case upon case of strawberries before the keeper felt tremors and saw the ghostly dinosaur charging his way

He jumps out of the way, but the fruit stand was destroyed when the Triceratops charged right through before the keeper sees the destruction and hollers

"MY STRAWBERRIES!"

He picks up one of the crushed fruits off the ground and complains.

"This is worse than selling cabbages!"

As the keeper weeped, Danny flies past him in hot pursuit. Right when the ghost boy would tackle the spectral dinosaur, a red beam slams into the beast, knocking it to a corner of an intersection. Knowing who was responsible for the attack, Danny flies to the origin to see Scott with his visor on, along with Kitty and Kurt next to him.

"What are you doing?!" Danny demands in panic.

"Helping you." Scott replies. "We're a team, Danny."

Danny quickly turns the trio invisible as a helicopter flies past them before it circles around the downed Triceratops. Moving quickly, the ghost boy takes them to a hiding spot and then makes them visible once more.

"Stay here, guys, and don't move."

Danny pulled out the Fenton Thermos before aiming at the dinosaur while it was barely getting up. The device activates, sucking in the ghost before Danny seals it with the cap and then vanishes, robbing the cameraman any chance of getting a good shot of Danny.

Returning to the hiding spot, Danny regroups with the trio while the helicopter flies elsewhere, trying to locate him. Reacting quickly, the ghost boy turned his friends invisible, along with himself to hide. When the aircraft passed by, Danny turned everyone visible once more. After changing back to human form, Scott leads them to the hiding spot where his car is located to make haste back to the Institute.

However, none of them were aware that a certain lanky boy with a foul odor was sitting on a few trash cans. He caught a fly with his tongue to eat before he leaped away with a smug smirk, wanting to tell the rest of the Brotherhood what he just learned.

If that wasn't enough, a crow was on the rooftop of a nearby building watching ominously. However, it wasn't just a normal crow. It had yellow eyes that were more human than an animal. In an instant, the bird flew away, squawking.

At the Institute, Jack and Maddie were helping Professor Xavier install modifications to the Cerebro as the bald man offered some assistance to the Fentons who were hard at work.

"Well, I see that the modifications are well-built."

"Not to worry, Professor Xavier." Jack comments.

"Besides, modifying out tech to register Danny as a friendly wasn't easy." Maddie adds.

"Well, I appreciate all that you have done up to this day." Professor Xavier said in gratitude.

"Since you say this Cerebro only detects mutant signatures, I figure that if we install some of our equipment..." Maddie comments.

"It should find Danny, should he need help." Jack finishes.

However, Ororo comes into the Cerebro room with a look of concern in her expression as the three adults instantly notice.

"What is it, Ororo?" Xavier asks.

"Professor? I think you should come and see the news." Ororo said with worry.

When the adults came into the office, Ororo turned on the television, the news broadcasts footage of the rampaging ghost Triceratops causing wreckage and Danny Phantom pursuing it in order to stop it. Also, the camera got a shot of a red beam slamming into the side of the ghostly dinosaur; a red beam that Xavier, Ororo, and Logan instantly recognized.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported. Authorities are not sure if this ghost kid is considered a hero or the cause of the wreckage and disturbance. Police are also investigating the source of the mysterious red laser beam. More at 6.

"That's odd. We have the shutters of the Ghost Portal closed." Maddie comments. "How did this one get out all the way here?"

"I don't know, honey." Jack replies. "But good thing our son got it before it could cause harm to anyone."

"Nevertheless, I believe we should all have a talk with Daniel and Scott." Professor Xavier addressed.

Jack and Maddie nodded in understanding. Ever since the news coverage recently broadcasted the incident, it is bringing up concerns about keeping the existence of mutants a secret. Also, with the mystery of how the ghosts are appearing in Bayville, despite the portal being closed, it's making it even harder.

In a county of Wisconsin, there was a castle that belonged to a certain billionaire whom Jack and Maddie are familiar with. However, what Danny, Jazz, Sam, and Tucker know is that he was no ordinary individual; he was half-ghost like Danny but twisted and evil.

He, too, watched the news footage that broadcasted Danny in pursuit of the ghost as he grinned ominously.

"Ah! So that's where you are now, Little Badger."

Vlad glanced at his own ghost portal as he said.

"Perhaps I should send him a little greeting."

Vlad turns into his alter ego, Vlad Plasmius, before he enters the portal, straight into the Ghost Zone, with a sinister intent he plans to carry out.

Back at the Institute, Scott and Danny were in Xavier's office with the professor, Jack, and Maddie. The boys, along with Kitty and Kurt, found out that Xavier and the rest of the adults saw the news coverage earlier. Clearly, they were concerned about the existence of mutants being dangerously close to exposure.

"Look, Professor." Danny begins. "I know I'm supposed to keep things under wraps, but after seeing that ghost cause so much wreckage, I can't live with the fact that someone got hurt because I did nothing."

Professor Xavier sensed Danny's honesty as the telepath remained silent. However, Scott interrupted as he said.

"Look, professor. I know Danny means well, but I can't help but he's right. I mean, helping people and saving lives should be the most important thing we should do with our powers."

"Scott, I understand that helping others is the right thing to do," Professor Xavier comments. "But it's also important to try and remain anonymous. At least for the present."

Scott sighs in frustration before he says,

"It's like we're hiding in shame. What's the harm in letting people know?"

"Because many of the same people are simply not ready to embrace the fact mutants walk the Earth." Professor Xavier said in response.

Then, Jack adds his own input.

"The professor has a point. I mean, I'm pretty sure that no one is ready to learn that Danny is half-ghost."

"Look, I'm not blaming either of you for what you did. I would've done the same thing in your respective places." Professor Xavier reasons. "I'm just saying you need to do what you can, without revealing what you are."

Scott sighed before he said

"I don't know, professor." Scott begins to walk away. "I'm having a hard time with this one."

Once Danny and Professor Xavier were the only ones who remained in the office, the ghost boy sighed before he faced the telepath and said to him.

"Professor? I'm sorry."

"For what?" Xavier asks in curiosity.

"For putting everyone here at risk today." Danny answered. "I mean." he sighed before continuing. "I should've played it smart and called my folks, but I got reckless and chased it down myself."

Xavier can sense Danny's honesty and regret in his words; emotions that the telepath gave a great deal of sympathy towards as he said to Danny in response.

"Daniel, we all make mistakes. The main thing is to learn from them. I understand both yours and Scott's opinions. You just need to be more careful next time."

"He's right, Danny." Maddie assures. "We all know that you're being responsible, but it is best if you try and keep a low profile more often."

Danny nodded before saying

"Well, I think it's going a bit harder for me to hide; now that Bayville wants to get a view of the ghost boy." he uses air quotes on the last part.

Professor Xavier nods in understanding, as did Jack and Maddie. However, Danny doesn't realize that problems were about to get even more complicated, not only for him but for all of the Institute as well.

"You're sure, Todd?"

"Posititve! I saw it with my own eyes, yo."

At the Brotherhood house, Todd has recently shared information of what he witnessed out in the city. For the rest of the Brotherhood boys, everything was beginning to make sense, realizing who it truly was that made them look like fools.

"I knew there was something about that guy!" Pietro shouts.

Lance was in deep thought before he said,

"Maybe we should give a proper introduction to him."

"What do you mean?" Pietro asks.

"I mean, we should make ourselves known." Lance said. "Summers may like to keep things under wraps, but I've had it with hiding our powers."

Then, Lance remembers seeing the news footage, just as practically everyone else in Bayville has.

"Besides, Danny seems to make his powers known when going after those so-called ghosts. So why not we?"

Fred became concerned as he tried to reason with Lance.

"But Mystique said..."

"Forget Mystique!" Lance interrupts. "She ain't around no more! So I'd say we take Pricipal Kelly's advice and go public with our unique talents."

It was then that Lance remembers something else; a certain even that is taking place at the school field on Friday night.

"And what better way to go public and draw out Danny than at the championship soccer game?"

The other Brotherhood boys grinned in agreement; each of them wanting a shot at payback at Danny.

It was Friday in the evening. In the field of Bayville High, the championship soccer game was taking place. There were crowds of people on the bleachers, cheerleaders performing their routine, soccer players from Bayville High, and the opposing team were there, ready to get the game on.

In one area of the bleachers, Professor Xavier, most of the X-Men, Danny, Sam, Tucker, Jack, and Maddie arrived to watch. However, only Ororo and Logan stayed behind at the Institute to keep watch over the new recruits.

Also, the A-Listers were present. However, Star was sitting far away from them, ensuring them that none of them would see her sitting next to Valerie. In fact, the blonde girl lied to them, saying that she got sick and was unable to make it. Surprisingly, they all bought it as Star hid herself pretty well.

There was also a news crew there as well, recording the game.

Then, Principal Kelly stepped onto the field with a microphone in his hand as his voice was broadcasted through the loudspeakers for his announcement

"In appreciation of the team spirit has brought us all the way to tonight's championship game," Kelly gestures to the scoreboard that had the drapes on top of it. "We like to present our school mascot, the Bayville Hawks!"

The drapes fall, revealing the hawk statue made of pure gold. Fireworks launched into the sky while the flames on top of the statue ignite, causing everyone to be struck in awe.

"Now! Let the game begin!"

The soccer game commenced. Both teams were giving it their all as the play-by-play announcer was watching every play and every move of the game. However, the microphone suddenly gets snatched away via Toad's tongue.

"Hey! Give that back!"

Toad retrieves the microphone before Avalanche takes it, despite some of the slime that immediately got off and began to talk through it.

"Excuse me, folks!"

The game stops as everyone looked around, as if they are confused.

"Hey! Can I have your attention up here?

Everyone turns their attention to the announcer box as Avalanche continues to talk. Even the X-Men were aware of who it was, and they were completely concerned. All the while, Quicksilver ran towards the search lights and adjusted one of them towards the rooftop, revealing Avalanche, Blob, and Toad in their uniform that were different from that worn by the X-Men. As Lance introduced himself using his real name as well as his codename, Xavier shook his head in disappointment while the boy revealed himself and his comrades as mutants.

To make matters worse, he reveals the true nature of the Xavier Institute, much to the fear of the Institute kids, including a certain group of humans who are affiliated with them in more ways than one.

Also, Avalanche exposes Scott and Jean specifically as mutants, as well as the camera focusing on Jean as the screen showed.

"Ah, man! Weh are busted big tahme!" Rogue bemoaned.

"Now then, without any further delays, we'l just keep ourselves entertained until our special guest makes his appearance." Avalanche announces.

His words got Danny worried as he whispered to himself.

"Special guest? I hope they don't mean Vlad."

Avalanche activates his powers, causing a massive earthquake. The field splits open as the soccer players run to get a safe distance. Unfortunately, one of them named Taryn was too close and fell into the crevice. Thankfully, Jean saved her in the nick of time.

As Quicksilver ran circles around a terrified Principal Kelly, Danny had a determined look as he got up from his seat.

"Daniel? Where are you going?" Professor Xavier asks in concern.

"I'm going to do something about those guys." Danny said in response.

"Son, no!" Jack intervened. "It's too dangerous!"

"Dad, people here are going to get hurt if I don't do something about it." Danny said with reason.

Jack hesitantly let go of his son's hand as he realized that Danny was right. However, Sam was concerned about one particular topic.

"But what if they see you as Danny Phantom?"

"But they don't know that I'm also Phantom-X." Danny counters.

"Ya are gonna need back-up, though!" Rogue adds.

"With that said, I'll hold them off, long enough for you and the others to gear up." Danny replied.

Then, he turned to his friends and his sister

"Guys, I'll need cover."

"Right away, little brother!" Jazz replied enthusiastically.

As Danny made his way towards the exit of the bleachers, Maddie stopped him as she said.

"Danny?"

Danny turns around to see his parents walking up to him before Maddie bends a knee and hugs him.

"Know that I'm proud of you, son."

"So am I, Danny." Jack adds.

After the hug ends, Danny runs off to get below the bleachers while the X-Men take off back to the Institute to suit up. While Sam, Tucker, and Jazz surround him very closely, Danny shouts his battle cry.

"I'm going ghost!"

Instead of transforming into Danny Phantom, Danny transforms into Phantom-X form as Sam and Tucker did a double take on their friend's new wardrobe.

"Dude? Did you do something to your costume?" Tucker asks in curiosity and impression.

"It's more of a uniform, courtesy of Logan." Danny replies. "Now, if you'll excuse me..."

The ghost boy turns intangible and sinks into the ground.

With Principal Kelly, he was tossed into the air due to the mini cyclone created by Quicksilver. Suddenly, the mutant speedster was blasted by a neon green energy beam. While the man fell, he was suddenly saved by a white-haired individual in black and light gray who had glowing green eyes and what appeared to be a ghostly tail.

After he was safely on the ground, Kelly quickly grabbed his cell phone and dialed a number. However, Danny zapped it with his ghost ray, which not only knocked the device off the man's hand, but it also disintegrated.

"Sorry about that, and were you calling the ghostbusters or something?"

At the Guys in White headquarters, a familiar man in a white suit hung up the phone before his cohort asked.

"Who was that Agent O?"

"Don't know Agent K. They hung up the second I answered the call."

Both of them shrugged in confusion.

Back at Bayville High, Avalanche was confused as he saw Quicksilver getting up after being mysteriously attacked. Suddenly, he hears a voice calling to him

"Hey, fruit bowl!"

Avalanche looks to the source to see the very individual he was waiting for fly in at high speed before delivering a punch when he got in range so fast that the mutant didn't have time to react. The impact knocked him off of the rooftop of the announcer's booth and into the field.

In the chaos, Paulina looks back to see the ghostly individual as she thinks with a particular kind of excitement.

"Love his new look! Makes my ghost boy very sexy! RAWR!

As Danny hovered above the ground, he was suddenly surrounded by Quicksilver and Toad.

"Well now, look who showed up." Quicksilver quips.

Danny was confused as he also had a gut feeling that something was wrong.

"What?"

"I saw you the other day, yo!" Toad adds. "When you were pursuing that dinosaur ghost!"

"And by that uniform, you've just proved to us that you are one of the X-Geeks!" Quicksilver comments.

Danny felt like he was about to get hit by a ton of bricks, as Avalanche said while pointing.

"To put it simply, we know who you really are, Danny Fenton!"

It was then that Danny realized that the Brotherhood now knew his secret of being half-ghost. He remained calm in the presence of the Brotherhood boys, but inside, he was panicking.

All the while, Jazz, Sam, and Tucker already removed the tapes from the news cameras before destroying them, just to ensure that secrets will not be revealed. However, they too panicked when they heard Avalanche deduce Danny's secret

"They know?!" they ask one another in unison.

Back with Danny, he had no choice but to be ready for a fight as he heard something breaking. Looking to the source, he sees Blob rip off the hawk mascot while the flames are still lit. Toad snickered before he said

"Our pal Freddy, here, wants first crack at ya,yo."

"Oh man, this is bad." Danny bemoaned.

Suddenly, Danny's ghost sense went off, much to the surprise of the Brotherhood boys

"And now, it just got worse." Danny bemoaned.

"Whoa!" Quicksilver said in surprise.

"Yeah, creepy!" Toad adds.

"What the heck was that?" Avalanche asks.

"Let me put it to you this way; I'm about to have more bad company." Danny replied.

Instantly, they hear thrusters of a jetpack before Danny looks to the sourse while the Brotherhood follow suit. Soon, Skulker arrives on the scene.

"Back off humans!" Skulker declares. "The ghost child is my prey!"

Toad shakes his fist as he shouted in response

"You back off, yo! We got here first!"

Toad spits a ball of slime at Skulker, who simply turned intangible as the projectile passed through him. However, as it went airborne, it suddenly descends onto its new target; a certain Latina who was in the projectile's trajectory.

It lands on her head with a splat, covering her face and hair with slime as she shouts in disgust

"EW! GROSS!"

At a distance, Sam smirked at the sight of Paulina getting slimed as she said.

"Wish I took a picture of that."

"Already covered, Sam." Tucker said as he showed said picture in his PDA.

"Make me a copy, would ya?" Sam said with a smile.

"Now isn't the time, guys!" Jazz reminds the two.

Toad sees that his attack did nothing as he saw Skulker turn tangible once more before he shrieked in terror.

"Ah! Ghost!"

With the Brotherhood distracted, Danny flew up to confront Skulker as the two began to fight in midair. However, as Fred prepares to land a sneak attack, a red beam knocks the flaming statue into the roof of the gymnasium. Fred looks to see that the X-Men arrive while everyone else flee as Cyclops shouts at Avalanche.

"All right, Lance! You want it all out in the open, then put it out!"

"Get in line, Summers!" Avalanche counters. "We got business with your new friend, Danny Fenton, up there!"

Cyclops looks up to see Danny fighting Skulker and deduced that the Brotherhood boys know his secret as well.

"You want to get to him? You'll have to go through us to do it!" Cyclops challenged.

Avalanche grinned as he said.

"Okay. I guess our payback will have to wait!"

Cyclops and Avalanche begin to fight one another.

In another area, Spyke and Shadowcat get to the news cameras and satellites as they both see Sam, Tucker, and Jazz there as well.

"It's cool!" Jazz assures. "We've already broke all of the tapes." she points to the broken pieces of said items.

Nevertheless, Shadowcat phased through the camera, frying its circuits, while Spyke used his bone projectiles to destroy the satellites as well. Meanwhile, Rogue was sneaking up on Blob, who was terrorizing innocent teens, as she took off her glove

"Ah'm about to feel really big and stupid, if ya know what Ah mean." she comments to herself.

Rogue grabs a hold of Blob and drains him, long enough for him to lose consciousness. As she let go, the wooden bleachers became unstable as it collapsed on top of her. Shadowcat ran towards the wood pile before the mutant goth girl burst out of the pile with a grunt.

"Are you okay?" she asks.

"Ah'm fahne." Rogue replies before she looks around. "Where's Danny?"

With Danny, he was locked in combat with Skulker before the hunter made a grab for him. However, the ghost boy delivered a kick to get him off. Despite the strike, his foe was not unsettled as he smirked.

"I must say, ghost child." he uses his fingers like a frame for a picture. "That new suit of yours really works for you."

"Why are you really here, Skulker?!" Danny demands.

"I came here to deliver a message from Plasmius." Skulker sees Danny's eyes widen in shock. "He's aware that you're now in Bayville, so he'll be coming soon."

Danny gasped, now realizing that his archenemy now knows which city he is in and will be on his way. Suddenly, as Skulker took aim at Danny, the hunter was suddenly shot by an energy beam as he fell to the ground due to his flight gear destroyed. The ghost boy looks down to the ground to see his parents armed with their weapons.

"Help your friends!" Jack shouts.

"We'll handle him!" Maddie adds.

Danny nods before taking off to give the X-Men back-up. Meanwhile, Skulker was getting up before he heard footsteps and looked to see an angry Jack and Maddie towering over him and wearing the Ghost Gloves.

"Just couldn't leave our son alone, could you?" Maddie asks in anger.

Jack grabs Skulker and lifts him up while Maddie gets next to her husband and clenched her fists.

"Guess you'll need another lesson." Jack grimaced.

As Jack and Maddie pulled back their fists, a terrified Skulker could only whimper one word.

"Mommy..."

In an area, Toad grabs a backpack that is on the ground before he gets tackled by Nightcrawler.

"Stick to catching bugs, Toad!"

Nightcrawler kicks Toad towards Danny before the ghost boy blasts him. The impact sent the mutant right into Avalanche as they were both knocked to the ground. However, while Rogue and Shadowcat were helping trapped students off the bleachers in order to get them to safety, the hawk mascot began to tip over from the roof of the gymnasium as the fire continued to spread.

The two girls hear the creaking as they look up to see the statue falling. Avalanche first noticed it. However, before he could make a move, he and Cyclops hear Danny's voice shouting in fear

"NO!"

Without hesitation, Danny flies towards the girls. Once he gets to them, he embraces both of them while turning intangible. The hawk statue hits the ground, but Danny, Rogue, and Shadowcat walk out unharmed as they all turn tangible once more.

"Thanks." a relieved Rogue said with gratitude.

"Yeah. Like, talk about your knick of times." Shadowcat said with agreement.

Suddenly, as Jack and Maddie seal Skulker's true form into the Fenton Thermos, Storm arrives as she creates a thundestorm. The rain puts out the fire as the Brotherhood begins to retreat. It was Avalanche who stayed behind as he said to Cyclops.

"We'll finish this next time, Summers!"

Then, he sees Phantom-X and says in a threatening tone

"Don't think that by saving Kitty, you're off the hook, Danny! You're gonna get yours yet!"

As Avalanche ran off, the X-Men remained as everyone who witnessed the whole incident was now aware of the existence of mutants. Storm descends towards Professor Xavier as the man said

"Good work, Storm."

"Yes." Storm replies. "But no downpour will make these people forget what they have seen here." she turns towards the Bayville High students. "The secret is out."

At first, a few Bayville High students shunned the X-Men, as the professor had feared. Then, Taryn was the first to approach Jean, specifically as she asked.

"Jean? Are you okay?"

Jean was stunned that her soccer teammate was not afraid. In fact, she was mainly concerned about the redhead's well-being before the Japanese girl said in gratitude.

"Thank you for saving my life."

Then, a male student came forward as he said to the group.

"Thank you all for saving me."

Another student joined in as he said

"And me."

And another...

"Me too."

Soon, with the exception of some of the unappreciative students who were too busy shunning the X-Men, more Bayville High students stepped forward, giving their gratitude, shocking every member, including Storm and Professor Xavier. Even Jack and Maddie were surprised to see that most of the students were not afraid of mutants.

Despite that Xavier saw his dream coming to fruition with the students who genuinely thanked them, he couldn't ignore the other students who weren't even the least bit grateful of the heroics of his students, especially Principal Kelly who was present as well. As much as he wanted to leave the memories of the grateful people intact, he had no choice but to re-write the memories of everyone.

To the telepath, the mind is considered sacred territory, but to protect his students, Xavier had no choice but to cross that line.

"Professor...?" Jack asks in concern.

"Despite that there is hope for coexistence, I have to keep things under wraps." Xavier said gravely.

Storm knew what he was going to do as she said in concern.

"No! There are too many! Even your mind could never withstand such a strain!"

"I really have no choice." Xavier said with regret.

Professor Xavier got to work in using his telepathy to alter the memories of every witness who saw the event, even those who accept mutants. He had deep regret in altering their memories in order to secure the protection of his Institute and his students. However, right when Xavier entered Principal Kelly mind, the telepath blacked out as Kelly had a blank expression.

"Charles!" Storm calls in concern.

Professor Xavier groaned as he began regaining consciousness to see that he was in the medical ward of the Institute.Everyone was there in the room, including Sam and Tucker. The telepath got up so suddenly before Logan calmed him down as he said

"Easy Charles. Take it slow. You threw your brain into overliad."

"But it worked." Ororo said. "Eyewitnesses believe the hawk's fireworks caused all the damage."

"Not to mention, Sam, Tiucker, and I managed to destroy all of the tapes." Jazz adds.

"What about the broadcast?" Xavier asks in concern. "How much got out?"

"None." Logan answers. "There was some kind of weird magnetic interference that knocked the station off the air seconds before."

Fear hit Xavier hard.

"Magnetic?!" he ponders on Logan's information. "Could it be that he's still alive?"

"Magneto? I wouldn't doubt it." Logan answered.

Danny was confused as were his friends and his sister before the ghost boy asked.

"Who's Magneto?"

"A mutant with a bad attitude and a major hate for humans, kid." Logan replies.

It was then Scott spoke to Xavier.

"I'm sorry, Professor. You were right. The world really isn't ready to learn about us."

"In all honesty, Scott, there is hope that it will be one day, given what we all have witnessed tonight." Prfoessor Xavier paused. "I just hope that Lance and the others will come to realize that."

However, a grave concern comes upon Xavier as he said.

"My only concern is Principal Kelly. I was in his mind when I blacked out." he stares at the ceiling. "And I'm not sure I finished the job."

It was then Danny spoke up with worry.

"Guess that makes two of us with a concern."

"What do you mean, Danny?" Maddie asks.

"When I was fighting Skulker, he tipped me off that my archenemy now knows I'm in Bayville, and he's on his way here." Danny replies.

"Who is this archenemy of yours, son?" Jack asks.

While Sam, Tucker, and Jazz remained silent, knowing who he was talking about, Danny said to his father.

"I'm not ready to give you that information, just yet, but now that I know that he's coming, I better be ready for him."

Then, Danny felt Rogue place a hand on his shoulder before he looked at her.

"Then, count meh in."

"I'm with you." Kurt adds.

"Save some action for me." Evan said.

"Me too." Jean said.

"Like, ditto." Kitty said.

"You won't be alone, Danny." Scott said in agreement.

Logan, Ororo, and Xavier were silent, but their facial expressions told Danny volumes that they would be there for him as well. Even Danny's family and friends stepped forward to show him that they were on his side and always will be. Danny smiled in gratitude before he said to them.

"Thank you all."

Meanwhile, at Bayville High, Principal Kelly was in his office as he stared out the window ominously.

And done. Stay tuned for the next chapter.

Dragonrule: Hope you'll like this one.

NiteOwl18: Yes. Some people never learn their lesson. A true fact, indeed.

Jebest4781: Thanks for the compliment.

YuukiHiro98: Yes, it is a huge demotion indeed. I hope you'll like this chapter.

danifan3000: Hope this will be the start on how often the idiots get caught. I must admit, your insight serves you well. I guess my hints were too subtle for other readers. Perhaps this chapter will give you an insight into what's to come when the existence of mutants and Danny's secret both get out. Also, I have interesting plans for both Principal Kelly and Mr. Lancer specifically. As for Jean's relationship with Duncan, I am fully aware of how it all played out. Fear not, for it will end a lot sooner than it did in the series.

DJ Rodriguez: Yeah, Jazz gave Quicksilver quite a burn. When Risty's true identity is revealed in due time, you'll see how Tucker will react, especially since he literally flirted with her.

Guest (December 12th): Updated.

Guest (December 13th): Danielle will make her debut soon.

Guest (December 14th): Sorry, this crossover is strictly for Danny Phantom and X-Men: Evolution. I have no intention of adding in characters from other cartoon series.
