Date Night and the Days After

Ever since the whole ordeal, all of the faculty and students in Bayville were curious about Risty's whereabouts when she suddenly disappeared off the face of the Earth. However, the only ones who knew the truth were Team Phantom and the X-Men. In addition, Tucker fully recovered from his nausea after he learned the horrible truth. Also, what the techno-fanatic didn't realize was that every time he came over to the Institute with Sam to visit Danny, a certain Nova Roma princess would steal glances at him secretly, but making sure no one else saw.

As time passed, it was Saturday. Thankfully, Danny finished his homework that he buckled down to get it all done after school and Danger Room training before his official first date with Rogue. So far, there were no ghosts lurking about as the sun was setting on the horizon.

Speaking of which, the ghost boy was in his room after taking a shower. Once he donned his Sunday best, the boy dabbed on some cologne as he made final preparations. In addition, his parents gave him an advance on his allowance, which in reality was a fraction of the remaining amount of the compensation check that his parents received from the superintendent of Casper High before the move to Bayville. Danny hyperventilated when his parents gave him an allowance of one thousand dollars, which they called an advancement of allowance, but thankfully, Jazz and Danielle gave him a paper bag to breathe into

He didn't anticipate that he would be given an allowance of that amount, but it was more than enough for his date with Rogue and hoped that nothing would go wrong as he pockets the Fenton Thermos, just as a precaution, and his wallet containing the cash necessary.

With Rogue, she had already finished using the blow dryer and recently put her outfit on which consisted of a black halter top, black gloves that almost reach her shoulders, a knee length skirt that was navy blue in color, a white chain around her waist, black knee-length boots, and a lavender scarf that was around her neck and chest. As she was about to walk out the door, the mutant goth girl heard Kitty's voice.

"Like, play nice, you two."

Rogue shot her roommate a dirty look before throwing a pillow at a laughing Kitty who phased through it. Once she was in the hallway, Rogue made her way to the lower levels and entered the lab, finding Jack and Maddie with Hank.

"Hello, Rogue." Jack greets with a wave.

"Hey." Rogue greets back before she looks at Maddie. "Is it ready?"

Maddie grinned before she grabbed a particular sidearm that was hi-tech, yet compact, and had some sort of rounded hand guard over the trigger and grip. Recently, Rogue personally asked the Fentons for an anti-ghost weapon that she could use to assist Danny.

"Right here." Maddie said. "Hank also helped to have it turn into a compact object when not in use."

Maddie pressed a button to demonstrate as the weapon transformed into an object that looked like a rectangular compact before she handed it to Rogue. As the mutant goth girl tucks it into one of her boots to draw it easily, Maddie said to her.

"It'll come in handy, should you need it."

"Ah got a feelin' that Ah may need it more than Ah know." Rogue comments.

"Have a good time." Maddie said as she waved a farewell to Rogue.

The area where the entrance is located has been emptied, courtesy of Jazz, who had a few of the New Mutants clear the area, despite their protests. Danny was the first to get to the area as he patiently waited for his date to arrive. The wait was not a long one.

"Ready ta go?" came Rogue's voice.

Danny's jaw nearly dropped at the sight of her as he thought he was staring at a gothic angel before he instantly regained his senses and said.

"Yeah."

As they left the Institute, Rogue asks in curiosity.

"So, how are weh gonna get to this place ya wanna take meh to?"

The couple agreed on a dinner and a movie type of date as Danny transformed and said simultaneously.

"I thought we should take the aerial route."

Rogue blushed as Danny picked her up, bridal style before a thought crossed her mind.

"But won't weh beh seen?" she asks with worry.

In response, Danny turns himself and Rogue invisible as he said

"Not if I do this."

And so, Danny takes to the skies as he carries Rogue in his arms while the mutant goth girl has her arms draped around his neck for safety. Thankfully, for both of them, no one saw them due to the ghost boy's invisibility as they made their way towards their intended destination.

"So, where are weh headin' to?" Rogue asks.

"You'll see." was all Danny said.

In about 10 minutes of flight time, Danny descends as they turn visible once again while taking cover. After transforming back to human, Danny emerges from his hiding spot with his date as he sees a restaurant that is fifty feet away.

"We're here." he says.

Rogue sees that the restaurant Danny planned to take her to for dinner was Chili's. The mutant goth rose her eyebrow at him as she asked

"That place, huh?"

"Yeah. Considering that it's just a walking distance from Bayville Mall." Danny said as he pointed to said mall.

"Ah got no problem with that." Rogue said with a shrug.

The two enter the restaurant as the hostess greets them with a smile.

"Hi, welcome to Chili's. Table for two?"

"Yes, please." Danny said politely.

"Right this way."

The hostess leads the pair to an empty table that was next to a window as the sky was getting darker, indicating that it was close to night time before handing out menus to the teens. Thankfully, they were away from everyone else in the restaurant, especially since all of the restaurant's customers seemed to be minding their own business.

"Would you two like some drinks?" the hostess asks.

"I'll have a root beer, please?" Danny requests.

"Ah lahke a glass of watah, please?" Rogue asks.

Once the hostess leaves, the two look at their respective menus to select their meal of choice. Several minutes, the hostess returned with their drinks and collected their menus after taking their orders, which were a classic sirloin for Danny and a cajun pasta for Rogue.

"So, this is your first outin'?" Rogue asks in curiosity.

"With you, yes." Danny admits.

His answer got Rogue's attention as she asked.

"What? Ya mean, it ain't your first date?"

"You can say that." Danny said before he continued. "Before the move to Bayville, I did go out with another girl named Valerie back in Amity Park."

"Go on." Rogue beckons.

"Well, things didn't work out between us." Danny explains. "She and I stopped dating on her behalf because while she is fond of my human, she has a major hate for my ghost half."

"Why is that?" Rogue asks, completely intrigued.

"Well, in the past, when I was trying to get a ghost back into the Ghost Zone, I unintentionally got her dad fired, and she hates me, well, my ghost half, for it." Danny said, whispering the latter part.

Rogue felt bad for the mistake that Danny unintentionally caused, as she said compassionately.

"Ah'm...Ah'm so sorry."

"There's nothing to be sorry about." Danny waved it off.

Rogue remained silent for a minute before she spoke up.

"Ah have a confession to make mahself."

"What do you mean?" Danny asks.

"Well," Rogue paused. "When mah powahs kicked in, Ah was so afraid ta get close ta someone. Ah was so afraid of hurting people with a simple touch."

Danny remained silent as he continued to listen to Rogue.

"Ah kept mahself away from everyone else, just so Ah won't hurt them." she explains. "In tahme, Ah got used ta bein' alone."

Danny felt sorry for Rogue as he gave her an assuring smile and said to her in response

"Hey. One day, you'll be able to control your powers." he glanced away. "Also, well..." he shyly paused. "When we first met..." he paused again. "In a weird kind of way, and when my folks moved in to the Institute, I genuinely began to like you," he blushed. "I just didn't know the right words to tell you."

It was Rogue's turn to blush. She didn't think of herself as the kind of girl who would turn heads, but hearing Danny's words gave her a sense of hope. In her perspective, something can bloom with Danny as she looked him in his blue eyes with her light grey ones despite that her head was turned to the right.

"Well, in all honesty, Ah lahke ya too." she said. "You're the first one who didn't treat meh lahke Ah was a plague. Ya made meh feel lahke Ah am a normal person."

Danny blushed at the fact that Rogue genuinely liked him as well. It was a first for him in his point of view. Danny realized that while Paulina fawns over his ghost half but hates his human half and Valerie liked his human half in the past but despised his ghost half up to the present day, Rogue genuinely liked both sides of him.

Eventually, the waitress returned with the dinners that they had ordered. The two teens continued to talk while feasting on their food, peacefully, just as the other customers were doing.

Once they finished their dinner and Danny paid for the bill, he and Rogue walked to Bayville Mall to the movie theater section. They stopped to see which movie to watch for their date. There was one particular movie that the ghost boy noticed as he comments.

"Wow! I had no idea that they're playing Dead Teacher IV."

Rogue rolled her eyes before she said.

"Are ya serious? That movie is as lame as that Trinity of Doom garbage."

Danny was surprised at Rogue's comment as he thought

"If Sam were here, she won't take that well."

It was then that Danny looked at other movie titles before he saw another one as he asked.

"What about Resident Evil: Extinction?"

"Already saw that." Rogue replies.

Again, Danny looks around at the list before he asks.

"What about The Good..."

Instantly, Rogue interrupts him as she says with a stern voice.

"No! No! Anythang but The Good Burger."

"Okay..." Danny said with confusion

Once more, Danny looks at the movie titles available, trying to see which movie Rogue would want to see. Then, after a few minutes of looking, he sees one in particular while thinking

"Maybe she'll like that one."

Then, he asks her.

"What about Van Helsing?"

Rogue's interest piqued as she saw the movie title as well. She raised an eyebrow in curiosity before she smiled and said.

"Sure. Ah suppose weh can go for that one."

When Danny and Rogue purchased the tickets to view the movie, the teller informed them that the next showing would commence in an hour. With that amount of time to kill, Rogue gently grasped Danny's hand as she asked.

"Wanna walk around ta kill some tahme?"

"Sure." Danny said with a smile.

The two teens walked in the opposite direction of the theater section of the mall to pass the wait time. However, they were unaware that two girls saw both of them; one in the upper level and the other on the same floor as them.

In the upper level where the food court was located, Sam was simply enjoying her salad at one of the tables after a shopping trip to the Hot Topic store. However, due to her table being positioned to view the lower level on the right side, she took a glance as she drank her soda. When she did, the human goth girl saw Danny holding hands with Rogue as they were walking down the mall. Seeing them caused her to spit out her soda before coughing for a second. Her jaw dropped, completely shocked and appalled to see him out with another girl as Sam looked on.

"D...D-Danny...is...out with...?!"

Suddenly, after she slowly turns away, Sam sighs dramatically as she faints face first into her salad with a splat.

Suddenly, Tucker walked to the food court to get something to eat before he sees her in that position, he walked over to her as he asked.

"Uh, Sam?"

Instantly, with a hypnic jerk. Sam woke up with a nervous chuckle while the cucumber slices slid off her eyes while her face was covered in bits of lettuce and some salad dressing as she greeted

"Hey, Tuck!"

"What were you doing?" Tucker asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh." Sam nervously chuckled. "Nothing, really."

"Doesn't seem like nothing to me." Tucker looks at the other visitors in the food court. "Or them."

Sam sees that other people were staring at her, completely weirded out. The goth turned red with embarrassment as she felt like crawling under a rock and die at that point.

On the lower level, Valerie was stepping out of Baskin Robbins with a vanilla ice cream cone. Before she could enjoy her frozen treat, the African girl saw Danny and Rogue walking with each other and holding hands. Like Sam, her jaw completely shocked and appalled at the sight of them. In her shock, Valerie crushed the waffle cone as the ice cream fell on her hand before falling on her foot with a plop.

The other customers of the ice cream joint, including children, looked at her weirded out as well. Valerie finally noticed as she looked down at her foot to see her ruined ice cream

"Oh, man. How embarrassing." she mumbles in shame.

With the teen couple, they reached the second via escalators. After taking a turn, Danny and Rogue enter a music store. As a rock song played, Danny recognized it as his head bobbed to the rhythm.

Rogue noticed as she asked.

"Ya know this song, eh?"

"Yeah." Danny replied.

Before both teens knew it, they got into it as Danny sang along with the lyrics.

Don't you fear that it's too late to turn the tide

These machines were never built to make things right

Then, Rogue sang along along the second part despite her southern accent.

Wake meh now

The world outsahde is dyin'

Whahle weh slowly drown

Not livin' just survahvin'

The two laugh as they stop singing along while listening to the song continue playing in the music store. One could say that they were having a good time.

Meanwhile, outside the complex where the exit is located in the theater area, two guards were throwing out a certain jock and a blonde girl, who wasn't Star, as one of them shouts

"AND STAY OUT!"

As the two dust themselves, the blonde girl grimaced at the boy while digging her finger into his chest.

"And you said we won't get caught sneaking into a movie, you stupid idiot!" she begins to walk away. "I'm out of here! See you never, Dash!"

"Wait! Monica!" Dash chased after her. "Come on! Give me a second chance!"

Back inside the mall, Danny and Rogue were leaving the music store. The latter wanted to check out Hot Topic as Danny shrugged and became led by his date. However, when they were thirty feet away from said store, they heard a familiar Latina voice speak up.

"Oh, look! Two losers out on a date! What's the occasion, going to watch the trash rot?"

Danny and Rogue rolled their eyes before the latter cracked her knuckles in a threatening manner, as she said.

"Wanna get your face rearranged? Cuz Ah'll beh more than happy ta do it."

Paulina took a step back in fear; fear that Rogue would carry out her threat to literally damage her beautiful face as she huffed before walking away.

"Sheh gets more annoying every day." Rogue comments in annoyance.

"Tell me about it." Danny replies.

Suddenly, Danny's ghost sense went off as Rogue was the only one who noticed.

"Oh man!" he bemoaned. "Not now!"

Soon, everyone heard the engine of a Harley Davidson. The teens see the vehicle with the number 13 on the gas tank. Next to the rider of the motorcycle was a pitch black ghost with green eyes.

"Not him again." Danny bemoaned again.

"Ya know him?" Rogue asks.

"Yeah. He's Johnny 13, and that Shadow of his creates bad luck." Danny explains. "If I take it out, he won't stand a chance."

Rogue mulled it over before she said.

"Perhaps Ah can distract him."

In the lower levels, everyone panicked, even the guards as Johnny's Shadow caused havoc in its wake. When Johnny saw Rogue coming down the escalators, he slammed on the brakes to bring his vehicle to a screeching halt.

"Whoa! Who's the babe?" he asks to no one in particular.

All the while, Danny took cover to transform before he took a magnifying glass and silently moved in. All the while, Rogue was fully aware that Danny recently informed her that Johnny 13 was a major flirt, even though he had a girlfriend; something that the mutant goth girl can easily handle, especially since she was already armed, waiting for the right moment to draw her newly acquired weapon.

"So, what brings you here, cutie?" Johnny asks, trying to be smooth.

Rogue was unimpressed as she placed her hands on her hips and said.

"Apparently, Ah was on a date until ya'll scared him away."

Johnny scoffed before he said

"Dude's probably a total square, any way."

Rogue rolled her eyes, seeing Danny's information was correct before she said.

"At least mah date has bettah manners and upbringin' than you."

Johnny took it as an insult as he crossed his arms.

"Oh yeah? What makes him so special?!"

Suddenly, his Shadow screams in pain as Danny fires a ghost ray through the magnifying glass, intensifying the photons as the ghost dissipates into nothing. Once Johnny 13 turns around to see Danny Phantom, he becomes horror-stricken as he puts two and two together.

"Oh crud! I'm outta here!"

When Johnny revs up his bike, Rogue quickly drew her compact from her boot before pressing a button to transform it into her sidearm weapon, much to Danny's surprise. As Johnny fled, Rogue took aim and fired a few shots, nailing the tires successfully. After getting into a position, Rogue jumps to slide on her left side as she aims for the gas tank as Johnny tries to stabilize his bike.

"Oh no, ya don't!"

Rogue takes a shot. The beam hits the gas tank, causing the vehicle to explode. Danny was awestruck and stupefied before he regained awareness in the nick of time to duck as a shrapnel sailed above him before landing on the floor thirty feet away from him, embedding itself into the tile.

"What a woman!" he compliments.

Johnny was on the floor before he saw his motorcycle in flaming ruins as he glared at Rogue, who was also getting up.

"Hey! You wrecked my bike, you crazy chick!"

Suddenly, he hears the click of a device behind him as Danny had the Fenton Thermos ready.

"Your bike's the least of your worries!" he quips.

Danny activates the thermos as Johnny was sucked in before the cap was sealed and the wreckage disappears. After turning invisible, he finds cover to transform back, Rogue deactivates her weapons as it reconfigured back into a compact. Soon, Danny Fenton emerged from his supposed hiding place.

"What was that all about?" he asks.

Knowing what her date was doing in order to throw off suspicion of his secret; a secret that she, the X-Men, his friends, and his family only knew, Rogue shrugged in an I don't know gesture.

And it worked.

All the while, from escalators that were fifty feet away, Sam and Tucker saw how the two handled Johnny 13. The former had to use every ounce of self-control to keep her composure while Tucker took a glance at her. He could imagine steam literally coming out from the top of her head.

Several minutes passed, and the only damage done to the mall was on the tile floor from the motorcycle explosion. People were back to going about their business. Even the security guards were unable to question anyone due to them fleeing the scene as well.

With the couple, they were on their way back to the theaters as the movie they wanted to see was about to show the previews of other upcoming movies before the actual showing. Danny remembered something as he asked.

"By the way, where did you get that weapon?"

"Ah asked your folks if they could build it for meh." Rogue said. "Just in case."

Danny rose an eyebrow before he said with a smile.

"Wow. I guess we both came prepared."

Rogue slightly blushed at his comment before they entered the theaters and took their seats to watch the movie that both of them agreed on.

The two teens left the mall, satisfied with the movie that they had watched. It was late with the full moon high in the sky.

"Wow. I didn't think Van Helsing would be that good." Danny said.

"Tell meh about it." Rogue said in agreement. "Ah'm actually surpahsed the producahs didn't make Dracula a stereotype of vampahre in that movie."

Danny nods in agreement. After looking around to see that they were alone, he transforms while asking.

"Ready for a flight back to the Institute?"

Rogue pondered as she said with a shrug.

"The nahght's still young. So no need ta rush."

Once Danny picked her up bridal style, he took to the air to return to the Xavier Institute. As they passed by his old neighborhood on the way back, someone did not find the sight amusing.

In her room, Paulina was in her pajamas before looking out her window. Not only did the Latina see the full moon, but she saw the ghostly individual she fawned over for quite some time, Danny Phantom.

She grabbed a pair of binoculars to get a clear view of him. However, her smile instantly dropped when she saw carrying someone else. The Latina couldn't see who it was that he carried in his arms. All she knew was that the silhouette was a girl as she gasped in shock while dropping her binoculars.

She choked up dramatically as she approached her dresser. Seeing her nail file, Paulina grabs it with one hand, clenched her chest where her heart is with the other before she dramatically acts like she's committing suicide by plunging the file into her hand to hold it and have it look like she was stabbed in the heart before she faints with a groan.

Downstairs, her father hears the thud before he goes to her room and knocks on the door.

"Mija?!"

Paulina wakes up with a hypnic jerk as she uses her file to give herself a manicure before saying.

"Come in."

Mr. Sanchez enters as he asked.

"Is everything okay?"

"I just dropped something, that's all papa." she said.

Mr. Sanchez just shrugged before he left while closing the door. Paulina waited for a few minutes until she knew for sure that her father was downstairs before she began to sob.

"My ghost boy!" she sobs while looking up the ceiling. "How could you?"

Once the two phased in through the roof of the Xavier Institute, Danny transformed back as they landed in front of the door where Rogue and Kitty's room is.

"Ya know, othah than that ghost and a run-in with the bimbo, Ah honestly had a good tahme." Rogue said.

"Hopefully, Johnny will learn his lesson after you trash his bike, which, by the way, nice aim." Danny compliments.

"Hey, it's rude ta interrupt a gal who's out on a date, rahght?" Rogue playfully asked.

"True."

Suddenly, Rogue saw a subtle change in Danny as she asked in curiosity.

"What is it?"

Danny was nervous as he hesitantly said in response.

"Well...it's just that..."

Instead of finishing his sentence, Danny leaned forward as his lips pressed against Rogue's. The mutant goth girl was surprised at first as her eyes widen. Then, she closed them as she returned the kiss while she draped her arms around his neck as Danny wrapped his arms around her waist.

In Rogue's perspective, this was her first kiss without hurting someone. She felt the warmth of his lips as her heart soared to new heights from the bliss of being touched. For the first time, she felt like she was a normal girl.

With Danny, his kiss he shared with Rogue wasn't like any fake-out make-out that he did with Sam to cover his secret. With the mutant goth girl, he felt genuine feelings for her.

Once they broke apart, they smiled at one another.

"Thank you, Danny." Rogue said. "That means a lot to meh."

"I guess that means we're a couple now, right?" Danny asks.

Rogue got a mischievous smirk, making Danny get a little nervous as she said.

"Sugah, ya just kissed meh. Ya really thank Ah'm gonna let ya get away that easy?"

Danny chuckled in response as he said.

"No, I suppose not." he looks into her eyes. "So, couple?"

"Couple." Rogue said with a smile.

They didn't realize that a little ghost girl watched the whole before silently floating away.

After Rogue went inside her room, Danny was about to walk to his room before he heard a very low growl that made him stop dead in his tracks, frozen in fear. Turning around slowly, he sees Logan behind him, glaring and having his arms crossed before the burly Canadian spoke up.

"Look, bub, I don't mind if you and Stripes are dating," he leans in close. "But if you hurt her, you're gonna be all ghost when I'm finished with you. Got it, Spooky?"

Danny gulped before he quickly nodded his head. Logan snorted before he walked away. As soon as he was out of sight, Danny felt like his heart started beating once again as he walked to his room.

After changing into his sleep clothes, Danny pondered if dating Rogue was worth risking death by Wolverine before he smiled in bliss as he said while falling asleep

"Totally worth it."

The next morning, Danny sent Johnny 13 and the remains of his bike back into the Ghost Zone before he came to the kitchen for breakfast. Upon entering, he sees his family and Ororo already there. Jazz was the first to notice him entering.

"You're up early? On a weekend?!" Jazz asked in shock before she placed her hands on her hips. "Okay, who are you, and what did you do to my brother?"

"Very funny, Jazz." Danny replies. "I just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep."

"So, how was your date last night?" Maddie asks.

Danny had a subtle blissful smile, as he said.

"Wouldn't you like to know."

Suddenly, Danielle enters the kitchen as she sang in a teasing voice.

"Danny and Rogue, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

The ghost boy turned his head sharply as he demanded

"You were spying on us?!"

"Hey! I didn't want to interrupt you when you two got back." Dani said innocently.

As Danny shook his head, Ororo asked.

"You kissed Rogue? On the hand, I assume?"

Right when Danny was about to answer, Danielle chuckled as she said.

"Nope. Mr. Casanova was smooching with her on the lips."

Danny glared at her while Maddie said.

"Danielle! Where did you ever hear such talk?!"

Dani cringed at Maddie's glare before the woman said

"Certainly not from me!"

As she glared at Jack, he got nervous before he said.

"Oh, I just remembered! I have some erm...ghost research to do with Hank! I better get going!"

Before Jack could get away, Maddie grabbed him by the ear.

"Could you give us a minute, Ororo?"

Ororo, Jazz, and Danielle could only watch as Maddie dragged Jack by the ear as the Fenton man continuously howled in pain. It was then that Ororo turned to Danny with extreme worry

"Danny? How is it that you're still standing?!"

"Whoa, Ororo! It's okay!" Danny said with his hands up. "I'm half-ghost, and I don't know how, but she's able to touch me safely, regardless if I'm human or ghost."

Ororo calmed down, hearing what he said.

"Oh, that's a relief. Well, I'm glad that Rogue can be near someone without any interference."

"I'm just wondering why it had to be Danny?" Jazz asks while smirking teasingly at her brother.

"What is this? Pick on the half-ghost day?"

Then, Rogue entered the kitchen with a yawn as she asked.

"What's with all the ruckus?"

"So, was Danny a good kisser?" Danielle asks.

Hearing that question caused Rogue to wake up completely as she glared at Danny.

"Did ya tell them about last nahght?"

"No." Danny points at Danielle. "She spied on us."

Rogue glares at Danielle, who had a smile that sealed the truth. After chewing her cheeks for a minute, Rogue smiled as she said.

"Yeah. He was." she smirked at Danielle. "Ya ain't jealous, are ya?"

"Nah. He's my brother." Danielle said casually.

"Okay! I'm out of here!" Danny said, throwing his arms up. "You all are just picking on me. Maybe I'll take my frustration out on the Box Ghost!"

Once Danny left the kitchen, a thought crossed Jazz's mind as she looked at Rogue.

"I have one question to ask."

When Rogue rose an eyebrow, Jazz crossed her arms with a suspicious look.

"What are your intentions towards my little brother?"

Danielle also adopted a suspicious as she asked.

"Yeah. What are your intentions?"

Rogue groaned as she covered her face with her hands in embarrassment. Jazz smiled at the reaction that she wanted to see as she thought.

"Sorry, little bro, but being the oldest has its perks, and I have my duties to do."

It was Monday morning as school was still an hour away from beginning. Rogue was casually walking to her locker when she heard someone sobbing. Looking to see Paulina as the source, she rolled her eyes while passing through, making sure to avoid gazing into the Latina's locker as she thought.

"What is she bawlin' about?"

Rogue got her answer as she heard Paulina's voice.

"Why Ghost Boy? I was supposed to be the girl to be carried by you and flown in the moonlight. Not some... some she-devil!"

Rogue's eyes widened as she thought in surprise

"She saw us?!"

After Paulina closed her locker, she walked away while continuing to sob, not even paying attention to the fact that Rogue was nearby as the mutant goth girl narrowed her eyes in annoyance and whispered.

"What a baby."

As Rogue made her way to her locker, she saw Sam once again, glaring at her. The mutant goth girl glared back as she thought.

"Okay! After school, Ah'm gonna get to the bottom of this!"

Rogue didn't realize that Valerie glared at her, too. However, she chose to hold her tongue out of respect for Danny's decision. The African girl couldn't help but feel jealous at the fact that Rogue is Danny's girlfriend now.

"At least Danny will be happy with her." Valerie thought to herself.

After closing her locker, Valerie heads off to her class.

With Danny, he closed his locker door as he had a blissful smile. The events of his date with Rogue, up to her becoming his girlfriend, kept playing in his mind as the ghost boy walked to class. However, he was completely oblivious that Sam was staring at him from a distance, looking like she wanted to cry.

School ended for the day as the hallways were mostly empty. With Sam, she was heading towards her locker before she saw Rogue leaning against it with her arms crossed, as if she was waiting for her. Sam glared at her as she said.

"Oh, it's you. I thought you had already gone home."

Rogue glared back as she said.

"Ah don't know what your problem is, but ya need to get ovah it!"

"Excuse me? I don't have a problem." Sam said

"Hm, let's see." Rogue mulls it over. "Ya keep sendin' meh ticked off looks and look at mah boyfriend lahke ya wanna shed tears. So yeah, ya got a problem."

Sam was shocked when Rogue said the word boyfriend, as the human goth girl, realized why her best friend had a blissful smile before she rolled her eyes.

"Boy!" she said unamused. "That must've been some date on Saturday night."

Suddenly, Sam gasped as she covered her mouth, but the damage was already done as Rogue glared at her harder

"Ya spied on us?!"

Sam saw no point in lying, so she said in response.

"Even if it was on a whim, but yeah, I saw both of you."

Things were starting to make sense for Rogue now as she placed her hand on her hip.

"Ah get it now." Rogue said. "You're just jealous at the fact that ya missed your chance. Well, it ain't mah fault."

Sam crossed her arms as she said.

"Oh, so you're spying on me now, eh? Are you asking Jean to keep tabs on him on your behalf?" she didn't see Rogue getting angry. "I bet you only like Danny because he's similar to you in a few certain ways."

Sam didn't realize that she picked the wrong choice of words until she witnessed Rogue slamming her fist into one of the lockers in anger, making a massive dent as the mutant goth girl looked at her with pure rage. The human goth girl took a step back in terror, knowing that she now crossed the line.

"Listen to meh, because Ah'm gonna say this once!" Rogue grimaced. "Don't evah involve ANY of mah friends into this, got it?!" she removes her fist from the locker door, making it creak. "Danny said it himself that heh genuinely lahked meh when weh first met!"

Sam was still stunned as Rogue continued.

"Ah lahke Danny because he's the first one ta make meh feel lahke Ah'm a normal person! FYI, heh asked meh out willingly, and Ah accepted! So, get used to the fact that Ah ain't gonna leave Danny, evah!"

Rogue took a deep breath to calm down as she looked at Sam in the eye once more.

"Danny is mah boyfriend now and that heh wanted to start thangs, it means so much to meh." she said in a calm voice before having a stern look. "But know this, Ah ain't gonna tell him about what weh talked about."

Sam felt like she didn't hear right as she said

"Wait! Come again?"

"Ah said, Ah'm gonna keep this behtween us." Rogue repeats. "Danny may beh mah boyfriend, but Ah ain't gonna do jack ta ruin your friendship with him. Ah ain't possessive as ya mahght thank Ah am."

Sam didn't know what was more shocking; that she was dangerously close to getting into a major cat fight with Rogue or the fact that Rogue won't tell Danny what they argued about just for the sake of keeping her friendship with him completely intact. Suddenly, Rogue spoke once again.

"Ah hope that weh don't have this conversation again."

As Rogue walked away, Sam felt like she had a lot to think about. Being called out on her jealousy, and the fact she saw it in Rogue's eyes that she truly did value Danny. She was silent as she retrieved her belongings, including her textbooks necessary for her homework, from her locker that thankfully was spared from the mutant goth girl's fury. After closing it, Sam walks off in silence

With Rogue, she sees Danny as she catches up to him. The ghost boy smiles, happy to see her before they greet each other with a kiss.

"Ready ta get goin'?" Rogue asks.

"For another session with the taskmaster, Logan?" Danny asks playfully. "Always."

Walking hand in hand, the newly formed couple leave Bayville High to return to the Institute. After Danny finds a hiding spot to transform and takes the aerial route while carrying Rogue in his arms, much to the dismay of a certain Latina.

Paulina sees Danny Phantom high in the sky, but again, she can't see that it is Rogue he carried in his arms. All she knew was that he was carrying a girl who wasn't the Latina herself as she shed tears before she cried.

"NOOOOO!"

As Paulina covered her face with her hands and cried, Sam passed by her as she rolled her eyes in annoyance and said to herself in particular.

"What a baby."

And done with another chapter. Stay tuned for a Christmas based chapter, which reveals Danny meeting Warren Worthington III (Angel) and the long-anticipated event of him meeting the Master of Magnetism himself. However, he won't be alone.

A/N: For Rogue's personal sidearm, think of her having the Forerunner exotic sidearm from the game Destiny 2.

A/N 2: For Paulina dramatically faking suicide, I got the reference from Shark Tale when Angie did the same thing after hearing Oscar say that she was like his best friend in the beginning of the film.

YuukiHiro98: Yeah, I wanted to create that vibe since the X-Men didn't know Risty's true identity.

Victor, Jesse, Jack: Wait and see.

SonicMax: Making Tucker barf after finding out Risty is Mystique was more amusing, in my opinion.

Vincent: No. The infamous merc with a mouth who can never shut up won't make his appearance at all.

DJ Rodriguez: When it comes to attractive women, Tucker's hormones clouds his logical thinking, as it was displayed in the episode Doctor's Disorders when he saw Spectra's new form, making him think that he was in a modeling agency.

Guest 3: I'm glad you noticed the reference.

Fiction Realm: Yeah. I saw the error and make the correction. Thank you for the warning.

NiteOwl18: Hope you like this one.

danifan3000: 1. He won't know that Mystique is Rogue's mother until later.

2. Yeah, Mystique's true form in the X-Men movies was pretty disturbing, especially when Xavier and Mystique meeting as children in X-Men: First Class; that took the cake on how disturbing that was. The animators clothed Mystique, but made it clear that her clothing were really extensions of her body.

pokemon fan 1991: I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.

RandomAnonymous: Yeah. I wanted to put that scene.

Jebest4781: Thank you.

KevinAguirre8481, Guest (Feb. 13): You guessed it.
