After the battle, Kaito explained to his teammates and mentors why was he trying to steal the paintings. Someone called him with a voice changer and demanded him to steal the Ashiya painting. Another reason, which was personal, was that Konsuke Jii, his confidant and assistant, had in his youth worked in the mansion where the painting was kept and thought to be destroyed, and where he witnessed Kiyosuke Azuma rescuing it at the cost of his own life, thereby incidentally proving that it is the real painting instead of a replication.
And since this was the painting that was on the plane, where Dan had stopped the bomb, then that means the culprit is targeting this painting specifically.
"But why would anyone want to go to extreme measures to destroy a painting?", Static asked confused.
"Static, some people murder others just because they feel like it for no reason at all.", Saguru said solemnly making Static feel depressed, like a kid who has been told Santa wasn't real.
"That's awful…", He mumbled with Akira patting his head in comfort.
"A Sad reality, but true.", Kaiden said with a faraway look, remembering the battles and wars he had been in, including the Edenian War.
"Tell me about it.", The four detectives in the team chorused.
"We will continue our roles as they are. I'll continue being Conan and I'll either be with Ran and Occhan, or will be with Agasa and the Detective Kids. Ran will be with me.", Shinichi said before he looked at Masumi, "Sera, If I come with the Kids, I need you with me, this may be a good chance to talk to Haibara.".
"She'll probably spit in my face.",
Masumi shrugged as she recalled how Haibara glared at her when she first saw her, "But I'll do my best.".
"Kyogoku, you're with Sonoko. We might expect the Organization to appear since they are after Kaito, and there might be a lot since Dan is here.".
"Funny, Sonoko-san actually texted me asking me to be with her during the whole thing of…", Makoto trailed off as he frowned, "Kid-sama…". He glared at Kaito who started laughing nervously.
"Oi… I didn't tell her to like me… And I did tell you she cares about you more than me when we first met…", Kaito explained. 'First Ran, then Masumi, now Kyogoku…. Do I have a thing for people who can easily kill me?!', He thought.
"Pretty sure if Sonoko found out that Kaitou Kid is the same boy who used to do annoying pranks on her during childhood, her opinion would change 720 degrees, and she'll try to kill you.", Ran said thoughtfully making Kaito pale.
'Ran, Masumi, Kyogoku, Sonoko, Aoko, Akai Shuichi, Haneda Shukichi, Mary Sera….', Kaito thought as he counted on his fingers, 'I think I should start making a list of people who want to kill me… I have a feeling the list will grow…'.
"Anyways, Kuroba will continue… doing his thing.", Shinichi rolled his eyes in exasperation, "Hakuba and Hattori, stay with the seven samurai. You might find something interesting with them, especially with Dan around. And Charlie is being weird.".
"Why do I have ta be wid him?", Heiji grumbled making Saguru roll his eyes.
"Trust me, I don't like it either.", Saguru mumbled making the Blue Ranger glare at him.
Nothing happened after that except a few days later. During these days, Kaito and Saguru joined the Rangers during their training. Saguru refused to be taught by Heiji however, and the latter didn't want to teach him, both disliking each other for an unknown reason no one understood, but Kaiden had an idea.
Kaito, on the other hand, literally saw hell.
Ran and Masumi took the chance to make the training a hundred times worse and harder on him, as revenge for what he had done with them, and Shinichi would join Ran gladly since Kaito tried to kiss his girl.
Makoto, on the other hand, it depended. He would treat Kaito just like the others, but when he would be with Sonoko or receive a text from her, that includes the word KID-sama, he would make Kaito experience hell too.
At one point, Kaito stole Makoto's phone to prevent that from happening, but then Masumi read a text she received from Sonoko out loud that included KID-sama, and Kaito returned back to hell again.
Another new development that happened, was that the Rangers decided to form a chatting group, exchanging their phone numbers to stay in touch without needing the communicators to avoid the risk of using them in public.
Kaito had named the group Kaito KID & His Phantom Crew, but of course, Shinichi removed that name before insulting his cousin, while the latter just sent a laughing face. Heiji suggested Samurai 7, because they were all Japanese and they were 7 in the team, and they shortened it to S7.
The group (yes, even Saguru) agreed because the name can throw anyone off, and to make things even more discrete, they decided to have a nickname displayed in the chat, and everyone chose their own, with emojis.
Shinichi: Heisei Holmes, Ran: Karate Princess, Heiji: Heisei Samurai, Masumi: Scarlet Detective, Makoto: Prince Of Kicks, Saguru: Noble Detective, Kaito: Phantom Lupin.

"The old man sent me an invitation to attend the meeting of the nine Samurai at his mansion.", Kogoro grumbled as he read the newspaper.
"I'm guessing from the tone of your voice, that you don't want to attend.", Ran mumbled as she stood next to the Agency door with Conan.
"They are all annoying, that old man has so much time on his hands, Kid hasn't sent anything yet, blah blah.", Kogoro explained before he noticed the two standing next to the door, "Where are you two going?".
"We'll go with Agasa-hakase, my friends, and Sera-neechan to see the fifth painting.", Conan explained as Ran opened the door, and the two left the man alone. As soon as the door closed, Kogoro noticed a small paper out of nowhere on his desk, and his eyes widened.
A KID Heist notice.
Tonight, I'll take the first replica (the one on the left side of the La Berceuse).
Ran, Conan, and Masumi who had arrived on her bike, waited for Agasa and Haibara to exit the house. Meanwhile, Subaru was watching the scene from behind the curtains at the Kudo mansion. Once they did, and Haibara saw Masumi, she instantly glared at her again.
'Not her again.', She thought in annoyance.
"Oh Sera-san and Ran-san! Didn't know you guys would go with us to the museum.", Agasa said as he greeted the girls.
"Well, you will need some brain and brawn there to protect the painting.", Masumi said before she pointed out as she wore her helmet, "Your car won't fit the kids with Ran, so I can take someone with me!".
"That won't be-", Agasa started to say but he was interrupted by Masumi instantly grabbing Haibara, who yelped in surprise, from her shirt, ran, and mounting her bike, placing a helmet on Haibara, and took off before anyone could say anything.
'Seriously Masumi…', Subaru face palmed.
Conan and Ran sweat dropped as Agasa cried for Haibara.
Conan walked closer to the professor, who knelt down to speak with him, "I'll tell you everything on the way and before we get the kids.".
"But Ran-".
"Will be listening to music using her headphones.".
"I'm gonna kill you.", was the first thing Haibara said once she snapped out of her shock.
"Get in the line, do you have any idea how many criminals told me that?", Masumi snorted.
"What do you want from me? Kudo may have all of the sudden trusted you but I don't, whoever you are.", Haibara said coldly.
"I just want to talk, and get to know you.", Masumi replied cheerfully making Haibara deadpan.
"With what you just did, I think you want anything but what you just said.", Haibara snorted.
Masumi remained silent for a few seconds before she said, in a serious tone, "You know who I am. I have seen the way you have looked at me before.".
"You just share the looks of someone I despise.", Haibara mumbled.
"Akai Shuichi. The FBI NOC, who wanted to get you and your sister, Miyano Akemi, out of the Black Organization.", Masumi said making Haibara's eyes go wide in disbelief.
"I'm right, aren't I? Miyano Shiho.", Masumi finished, and the shrunken scientist then had a quick flashback.
"So that NOC is our cousin?", Shiho said as she sipped her coffee.
"Yeah! I haven't seen him in years so I didn't recognize him at first.", Akemi replied as she pulled out her phone, opened a photo, and handed it to Shiho.
"He sent me this of him and his family.", Akemi smiled warmly, "Our family.".
Shiho stared blankly at the image that showed Moboroshi Dai, or actually Akai Shuichi, next to him a man who looked like him but much more cheerful, and between them a much cheerful girl who resembled the slightly smiling woman who stood on Shuichi's other side. Shiho's eyes remained staring for a while at the woman, as she noted how she looked very similar to her mother.
"This is him, the boy is his younger brother; Shukichi, and this is their younger sister; Masumi, she is a year younger than you by the way. And the woman is our mother's elder sister, our aunt; Mary Sera.", Akemi said.
Shiho handed her sister's phone back before she mumbled, "You know my opinion on them already.".
"Shiho-".
"If they truly cared about us, they would've found us many years before.", Shiho said bitterly, "Hell, Sera should've been able to save our parents or even stop them from joining the BO.".
"He told me that they all, especially Mary, did their best to find us.", Akemi said before she gave Shiho a smile of hope, "But the past doesn't matter anymore, one of them is here, and he'll help us!".
"I wish I could be like you, Oneechan.", Shiho sighed, "But I don't want to cling to false hope.".
"They aren't false hope, Shiho.", Akemi said, "They are our family.".
Haibara returned back to the present before she glared at the back of Masumi's head.
"You know I never once believed any of you cared about us, not even when Akai came, but Akemi did…. And she's dead…. You couldn't save her.", Haibara spat the last sentence in anger.
Masumi remained silent for a few moments before she sighed, "Believe me, her death destroyed us once we saw her photo on the news. We immediately recognized her…. Mama didn't even speak to me for a few days, feeling guilty about it. We were dealing with something in England, but Mama was ambushed there and shrunk, and we came here once we saw Kudo on TV as Conan during the tennis match. We had met him 10 years ago, and with help from Mama's MI6 colleagues, we knew he came as Kudo Shinichi, not Conan.".
"And I'm supposed to be nice because you just said that?", Haibara laughed bitterly, "Just because we are blood-related doesn't mean we are a family. I'm pretty sure I'm nothing to you and Kudo but the one who will make the cure to him and your mother.".
Masumi steered her bike off the road and into a nearby alley before pressing the brakes and stopping the bike. Haibara raised an eyebrow at the act before Masumi turned around to face her.
"So Kudo would risk his life to save you just for a cure?", Masumi asked, "I would try to talk to you or get to know you just for a cure? For your information, I could've broken into the house, and searched it if that was my main goal.".
Haibara narrowed her eyes at the last sentence, remembering the only full antidote pill she succeeded in making that had disappeared.
"But I really want to know you. I mean, I've always wanted a sister!", Masumi said with a smile, "You are my family, Shiho, so don't you ever think I'll abandon you, especially after finding you.".
"Get us to the museum, we don't want to be late.", Haibara replied coldly.
Masumi sighed in defeat as she placed her phone in her pocket before she started her bike and said, "Fine, but this won't be the last time we talk.".
The Samurai, Sonoko, Makoto, Amuro, Saguru, and Heiji were having a meeting with Jirokichi and Ginzo in the Suzuki Mansion.
"After news spread about the bomb and Kid's attempt at New York, the other museums are reluctant to hand us over the paintings.", Jirokichi explained, "But I'll convince them in no time. I have even added some security measures suggested by Natsumi-san, and the KID Taskforce will be present there, so will be the Kid Killer, the Detectives, and Martial Artists, and the Kid Capture squad.".
"Kid Capture Squad?", Azuma asked in confusion.
"My daughter and three of her friends formed a squad to catch Kid, that cosplay detective is one of them, and she insisted on coming with them.", Ginzo grumbled as he pointed at Saguru, "She said she'll be there with the girl while the other boy is currently sick.".
Saguru ignored the nickname and sighed, 'Nakamori formed the squad, not us…', His eyes then widened for a second, a faint blush appearing on his face, 'This means Akako will be there!'.
Heiji raised an eyebrow once he noticed the blush on Saguru's face, and made a mental note to find out more about that later.
"The more the people, the more the options for Kid to disguise as.", Dan replied before he looked at Keiko whom he was sitting way too close to, "What do you think, Anderson-san?".
"A woman can't really disagree with a handsome man like you.", Keiko replied with a seductive smirk. The teenagers with the other Samurai had question marks on their heads at the weird interaction between those two.
'Kill me, Kill me now, please.', Amuro thought in disgust.
'Typical Vermouth.', Charlie rolled his eyes.
"Charlie, you will help us?", Jirokichi returned back to the main subject.
"Definitely. That Kid is nothing but a filthy terrorist and nothing will stop me from capturing him.", Charlie replied.
"Wait a minute! KID-sama is anything but a terrorist so you better watch your mouth!", Sonoko cried as she stood up while slamming her hands on the table.
"KID-sama? Shouldn't you have some respect for your boyfriend here? But then, you are a spoiled brat and-". Charlie was interrupted by a hand clenching his shoulder roughly. He looked behind him to see Makoto glaring at him.
"Speak properly with Sonoko-san.", the Black Ranger said firmly.
"Or else what?", Charlie challenged with an emotionless glare.
Dan smirked as he leaned and whispered in Keiko's ear, "Your crow fellow needs to control his alpha male antics, my dear Vermouth.".
Keiko gave him a smirk he knew too well as she whispered back, in her real voice, "And you aren't an alpha male yourself, Mr. Interpol?".
"Me? I'm just a Cowboy, according to everyone's opinions, but your opinion of me matters the most.", He replied with a certain glint in his eyes.
"Hm. I can tell you my opinion, in a more private place, when we are alone.".
"I like the sound of that.".
Kogoro then burst through the door, guards following him behind, as he cried, "Kid sent a note!".
Everyone looked at him interested while the Rangers pretended to be interested because Kaito told them before he'd send a note on the same day of the meeting.
"He'll try to steal the fifth painting from the museum!".
Conan, the kids, and Ran arrived at the same time as Masumi and Haibara. Both girls said nothing as they followed the group into the Museum, making Conan raise an eyebrow in interest at what happened between them.
When Conan tried to ask Haibara, she just gave him a death glare, which made him think about doing that later.
Conan then looked at Masumi and she shook her head with a sad look, and the latter just sighed, knowing that the first talk with them would end in failure.
"Oh look! The fifth painting!", Ayumi cried as she and the kids stood in awe watching the painting.
"Oh! It's so beautiful up close!", Agasa cried as he literally stuck himself to the glass.
"Hakase! You're blocking the view for other people!", Mitsuhiko admonished. Agasa moved away to notice an old woman sitting in front of the painting.
"Sorry sorry! I got excited seeing the painting.", He apologized to the old woman, feeling embarrassed.
"It's alright. I've been coming here since the painting arrived, so you didn't ruin anything for me.", The old woman smiled kindly.
"We have seen the painting, let us check out the other stuff here.", Genta suggested.
"Alright! Hakase you are coming with us!", Ayumi said as she grabbed the professor's hand.
"Slow down a little bit!", Agasa cried as he and the kids left. Ran and Conan just chuckled while Haibara sat on a nearby bench and Masumi just knelt on the wall opposite of Haibara, who refused to meet her eyes.
"You guys came?", Ran said making Masumi and Conan turn to see the other Rangers, minus Kaito, arriving with Ginzo, Kogoro, Jirokichi, and the Samurai not far behind. Masumi immediately frowned at Amuro while the latter gave her a challenging smirk.
"Kid sent a notice.", Saguru explained
"Yo! Guys!", the Rangers heard making them look behind them, and the group that followed them themselves were interested so they also turned around.
Conan's eyes widened in disbelief as he turned around quickly before he looked at Haibara, who turned around in curiosity. Her eyes widened, and they almost stopped beating, as her blue eyes locked with Ryu's brown eyes, a flashback happening in her mind.
"Who is he?", Sherry asked once she saw the boy lying unconscious on the metallic table in front of her.
"One of the group of street rats we captured to be our lab rats.". A female voice said behind her. "Each of the other 4 was assigned a scientist to experiment on, this one is yours. He resisted us the most that I had to give him a continuous dose of drugs to knock him out.".
Sherry remained standing for a few minutes, even after the woman closed her personal lab's door. She then moved towards the boy. As she was writing in a notebook all the things she noticed in his physical appearance, she couldn't help but think that the boy was attractive.
'Gin would kill me.', She thought as she spat in disgust, remembering the physical relationship she was in.
She looked at the boy once she heard him groan. He slowly opened his eyes only for his brown ones to meet her blue ones.
"Am I in heaven?", He asked making Sherry raise an eyebrow at him.
"What makes you say that?", She asked.
He smiled, "Because I'm looking at an angel.".
Sherry frowned before she knelt close to his face. "I could easily kill you right now, so behave until it's all over.", She threatened.
The boy chuckled before he smirked, "I love the dangerous women type, so you just made me interested in you even more.".
Sherry gave him a bemused look. "Your name?", She asked.
"Huh… Thought I'll just be experiment number something like the green bitch said.", He mumbled. Sherry cracked a smile, knowing who he was mocking very well.
"Name's Ryuuga. Kazama Ryuuga, but call me Ryu.".
Haibara's eyes remained locked with Ryu's even after returning from the memory of their first meeting. After all these months, after believing at one point that she may never meet him again, here she was, standing across from him. Ryu's mind was conflicted, he was over the moon for finally finding his girl, but her condition was something that made him conflicted.
'Did she… Did she try to kill herself or did someone drug her?', He wondered before he walked the detective boys.
He knelt in front of Conan and messed with his hair.
'I thought she was kidding, but now seeing Shiho too, looks like you shrunk too, Kudo.', He thought before he said with a smile, "Yo! Chibi Kudo! How are you?".
A vein popped on Conan's forehead, and it grew larger once he glanced behind him and saw the other Rangers snickering. At least Ran, Makoto, and Saguru were trying to cover their mouths, but Heiji and Masumi were loud. Conan heard a loud snort among the crowd, and he immediately guessed who it belonged to.
"I'm fine, Ryu-niichan!", Conan fake chuckled.
'I'll kill you, Kazama.', He thought.
"Don't bother the little boy, otouto.". A new female voice said making everyone look at her.
The male police officers' jaws dropped while Kogoro rolled his eyes. Amuro frowned while Dan and Ryu just sighed tiredly at everyone's reaction, Ran and Sonoko rolled their eyes. The other Rangers were confused like the kids, Conan just laughed dryly.
The female voice belonged to a tall foreign woman who had a curvaceous athletic build. She had pale skin color, long platinum blonde hair tied in a high ponytail, with bangs brushed to both sides over her forehead, and aqua blue eyes.
"Can't you go anywhere without men staring at you like meat?!", Ryu cried as he glared daggers at the men, making them look away in shame and embarrassment.
"Relax Ryu-chan!", The woman said as she walked to the group closer, "If anyone wants to try anything, they will find themselves in the emergency.", She said with a sweet smile, but her eyes said something else. The men who were ogling at her shivered in fear.
"Nina-oneechan!", Ran cried happily as she hugged the taller woman named Nina, "I've missed you!".
Nina laughed as she returned the hug. "I've missed you too, imouto!", She said as she released Ran before looking her from up to down, "Say, have you gone back to training vigorously? I have been gone for a few months but I can see some muscle there.".
"I did, I can't let myself remain weak, you know.", Ran nodded.
"And how is Shin-chan with you? Mystery geek treating you well?", Nina asked as she threw a hidden glance with a knowing smile at Conan, but he didn't notice it, because he was looking at Ryu who turned to Haibara.
Ran blushed. "Well, we are officially together.", She said, earning a cry from Kogoro and a cheer from Nina.
"Congratulations! Finally, that boy summoned the guts to confess!", Nina said while Kogoro just cursed Shinichi with the most colorful words.
"Sorry ta interrupt but who are ya?", Heiji asked.
"Someone passing by.", Amuro mumbled, a frown still present on his face.
Nina's cheerful attitude disappeared as she glared at Amuro, him glaring back.
"That someone would be you.", She replied. Everyone noticed the tension, but Masumi noticed something else while looking at Amuro's eyes; stubbornness, pride, and hurt. She even noticed that Dan was looking back and forth between the two, expecting something to happen, but when nothing did happen, he sighed in disappointment.
'Does Furuya know those three people?', Masumi wondered.
Nina ignored Amuro and turned back to the teens as she said with a smile. "My name is Kazama Katrina, but call me Nina. I'm Dan's eldest child, and the sister of this gentleman.", Nina said motioning at her brother with a teasing smirk, who frowned at her, knowing she noticed how he looked at Haibara.
"How da ya know Kudo?", Heiji asked curiously.
"Dan is Shin-chan's godfather. And he grew up around me, so he is my little brother.", Nina said before she wrapped an arm around Ran, "And since Ran used to hang out a lot with Shinichi, she grew up around me too, so she is my little sister.".
"If we are done with the chit-chat, we need to go and discuss the note Mouri received from Kid.", Ginzo grumbled.
"Let us discuss this somewhere else, we came to check on the painting, and it's still here, we don't want to cause a scene.", The curator of the museum said.
"I'll stay here and watch the kids with Agasa Hakase.", Ryu instantly said as he sat next to Haibara.
Jirokichi and the group turned around to leave with the Rangers and Nina following them. Masumi walked until she was next to Amuro.
"I'm keeping my eyes on you.", She glared.
"Good, because I'll be doing the same.", Amuro replied, still having the same challenging smirk.
Fake Keiko (Vermouth), who was the second to notice the interaction between the two like Sonoko back at the airport, rolled her eyes.
'And now Bourbon is acting like a teenager too, not just Cognac.', She thought, 'He left all the girls in the world and became interested in Akai's sister…'
Once the group left, Ryu looked at Haibara. Contrary to his harsh, loud, and tough attitude, he was nothing but tame, kind, and gentle.
"It's been a while.", He said.
"Time went by since I last saw you slowly.", Haibara replied, "And things went downhill for me, that I almost believed that I would never see you again.".
"That drug.. that you told me about back in the day.. You took it, didn't you?", Ryu asked sadly making Haibara sigh as she avoided looking into his eyes.
"They had killed my sister… and when I checked in the hospital back then, I had heard that you were still in critical condition and not improving… So I decided to end everything..".
"Thank God you failed then, because you would've killed me too.".
Silence fell between the two for a few moments before Haibara asked.
"How are you feeling?".
"I completely recovered from the poison a while ago if that is what you are asking about.", Ryu replied, "But emotionally? I was thinking about you every day.".
"So that detective geek, the Karate girl, and the professor you've told me about...", Haibara scoffed, "Who would've thought I would end up meeting them in person?".
"Small world.", Ryu shrugged, "So is there an antidote to your condition?".
"I succeeded in making 1 real antidote, not a temporary one… But suddenly it disappeared.", Haibara explained before she grabbed Ryu's hands, an idea popping into her mind, "Didn't you tell me you were working with something like a police force? Maybe you can help me.".
"You haven't told Kudo about that antidote, didn't you?", Ryu asked suspiciously.
Haibara shook her head. "I had it placed in a drawer, locked with a key. No one knows it's place but me. But it disappeared weeks ago, around the same time….", Haibara trailed off as her eyes widened in realization.
"Around the same time what?", Ryu demanded.
"Around the same time when the first five Power Rangers appeared.".
Upon reading the notice, Dan says that they should move the painting to a safe place before night comes and no one disagrees with him.
The group watched as Azuma and Natsumi checked that the painting was safe as they placed it inside the box. Ishimine and Kumiko guided the officers to place the cover gently before Conan noticed a Kid heist notice under the cover.
Saguru moved and and pulled the notice from under the cover, just as Nina moved next to a guard.
"H-has Kid already stolen the painting?!", The museum owner panicked.
"Let's ask him.", Everyone turned to see Nina holding the guard she walked next to in a chokehold, a smirk on her face. The guard struggled in her hold before he whispered in his real voice.
"You're strangling me, neechan!", Kaito cried in panic.
"That's what you get for being a thief.", She replied before she noticed Charlie slowly raising a gun. She loosened her hold on Kaito, giving him a chance to break free before he threw smoke bombs, and removed his disguise, revealing himself as Kaitou Kid.
Kid placed a notice in the curator of the museum's pocket before pushing him aside, throwing ropes that wrapped around Azuma and Natsumi.
And once the smoke cleared, Kid was nowhere to be seen.
Those related to the police in the samurai with Ginzo, and the Rangers were now sitting with the curator and Jirokichi, to read the notice Kid had left.
I'll hand over the Sunflowers I just took for a reasonable amount of ten billion yen. I'll see you in room 1412 in the Touto Plaza Hotel. Bring old bills and lay them out on the bed. If you can't, I won't make the deal.
Jirokichi immediately decides to pay the enormous ransom.
The plan was that everyone would be watching in the security camera room while the curator would be waiting in the room.
Charlie had left the room and pulled out his phone to make a phone call.
"Touto Plaza Hotel.", He said, "Just like I thought, Nakamori is acting like shit. Bring his daughter there. And kill everyone who stands in our way.".
Kid, holding the painting, was flying with his glider, nearing the building, he smirked happily once he saw the Kaitou Kid fans waiting to see him crowded in front of the hotel.
He pulled out a small binoculars to check the area around the hotel before his eyes widened, and his heart nearly stopped beating.
Snake was there, with a large group of agents dressed in black. On a chair in front of Snake, with ropes around her body and the back of the chair, was none other than Nakamori Aoko, she had a black eye, her lips were bruised, and she was bleeding from her forehead.
And a bomb was placed around her neck.
"AOKO!", Kaito cried at the top of his lungs as he placed the binoculars back before he pulled out his phone and sent a text message swiftly. He was about to glide there before he let out a groan of pain and winced.
He cried in pain once he felt something stab him in the chest, but nothing was there. Kaito lost control of his glider and fell on top of a nearby building.
Kaito raised his head for his eyes to meet the culprit behind his pain.
"Got you, Kuroba Kaito.", Koizumi Akako smirked.
Kogoro, Ginzo, the Rangers, Charlie, Jirokichi, and Amuro were standing inside the security room, watching the camera of room 1412, where the curator was waiting with the money.
The Rangers heard their phone ring and their eyes widened at the two text messages they'd received.
Phantom Lupin: CROWS HAVE AOKO! TOP OF THE HOTEL! BOMB!
Phantom Lupin: NEED HELP! TWO BUILDINGS AWAY FROM THE HOTEL! FACING A WITCH!
One of the camera's monitors cut off before changing into Snake standing in front of the camera wearing a mask with voice distortion to hide his identity.
"Nakamori Ginzo.", Snake started, "You haven't been taking your job seriously. You had one job and that was to capture Kid! But you fail time after time!".
"Who the hell is that guy?!", Kogoro asked in anger.
"So I think this will make you take things seriously.", Snake moved out the camera's way to show Aoko.
"Tousan…", Aoko mumbled as tears fell from her eyes.
Everyone's widened while Ginzo cried in horror, "AOKO!".
Amuro's eyes widened before he looked at Charlie, to see a faint smirk on his face, and he held a device in his hand. He clenched his teeth, knowing this was his doing alone. He pulled out his pocket a communicator and placed it in his ear, and listened to the crow agents, and his eyes widened even further.
"See this bomb around her pretty neck? You have 10 minutes, bring me Kid's dead body, or you won't even have your daughter in ashes.", Snake threatened. "And if you are thinking about bringing the police, I have snipers waiting on higher buildings to eliminate anyone who dares approach.".
The Rangers without another word dashed out of the room, but before Masumi could follow her friends, Amuro grabbed her hand and ran with her to the opposite side of the hall.
And just as they left, Snake had spoken.
"Oh, and 3 bombs are being implanted inside the hotel!", He said making everyone but Charlie who had a hidden bloodthirsty grin.
"What the- Leave me alone! I must stop them!", Masumi cried as she tried to pull her hand away.
"So do I, but Cognac is crazy and desperate, I can't act directly against him because I'll get caught, but you can.", Amuro said as he entered the elevator with Masumi and pressed a button.
"What do you mean? Who is Cognac?", Masumi asked.
"This communicator is for all BO agents.", Amuro said showing her the communicator he had turned off before leaving the room. "I heard what they were saying, the hotel is being implanted with bombs. This was all Cognac, Inspector Charlie Martin's plan.", He said grimly.
Masumi's eyes widened in horror.
"I don't trust anyone in this room but you.", Amuro said as he pulled out a gun, inside his shoe, hidden under the pants, and pulled out another placed in his jeans at his back. He handed one of them to Masumi.
"And I know you aren't one to let grudges hold you from doing what is right.", He said.
Masumi took the gun and nodded as she said, "My friends can be trusted, so tell me everything.", she pulled out her phone and sent a text message.
Scarlet Detective: With Amuro. He says the hotel is being implanted with bombs. It was all Inspector Charlie's doing, Codename Cognac.

Scarlet Detective: He and I are headed for the one on the fifth floor. There is another in the seventh and ninth, rooms number 12, with armed agents.
Noble Detective: I'll go help Kuroba
Heisei Samurai: Kyogoku an I'll take da seventh floor one
Karate Princess: Shinichi and I will handle the last one.
Masumi placed her phone back in her pocket as Amuro wondered, "I wonder if the Power Rangers might appear.".
Masumi raised an eyebrow, "You like them?".
"As long as they do what's right and don't put Japan in danger.", Amuro shrugged before he rubbed his cheek with his finger, "But if I were to say I have a favourite, I'd say the Pink Ranger.".
"E-eh?", Masumi asked with a blush present on her face.
"I like her. She's strong, determined, graceful in her moves, intelligent, and I like her fighting style and attitude and..", Amuro trailed off once he saw Masumi's red face, completely embarrassed.
"Are you having a fever?", Amuro asked concerned as he moved closer and checked her forehead's temperature with his hand.
Masumi pushed his hand away in embarrassment as she said, "N-Nah, let's just get those bastards.". She spoke all while avoiding Amuro's eyes, who was looking at her curiously.
"I have no time for your shit, Akako.", Kaitou Kid spat as he tried to sit up but winced once Akako squeezed the small doll of him in her hand.
"My, such language, from who is supposed to be a gentleman.", Akako teased before she laughed, "I got you now Kuroba, and I-".
"Look, I don't have time for your narcissistic attitude or why can't you worship me problems! Aoko is in danger, and you should help her!", Kaito cried, "She is your friend!".
Akako snorted, "I have no friends, and she is just means to an end to me, and I'm certain I mean nothing to her.".
Akako's eyes grew wide as she saw Kaito getting up slowly, fighting against her magic.
"If you meant nothing to Aoko, she wouldn't be bringing you along everywhere we with Hakuba go.", Kaito glared, "I think I know why…. You use a spell to make boys love you, because you're a heartless monster who will never be loved!".
Akako looked hurt for a second before she hissed angrily, "You know nothing about me!". She raised her other hand and it started to charge a red energy.
Suddenly, Akako was pushed from her waist onto the ground, someone falling on top of her, causing the doll to fall from her hand and the red energy in her other hand to disappear.
"Kuroba!", Saguru cried as he grabbed the doll and teared it apart, freeing Kaito. "Go save Nakamori, hurry!".
"Nani?!", Akako cried in disbelief once she saw it was Saguru who stopped her.
Kaito didn't need to be told twice before he grabbed the painting that was beside him, ran and jumped off the building, spread his glider, and headed towards the building. He pulled out his card gun and shot multiple cards at the glass of room 1412 before cracking it.
The curator cried in shock once the glass broke before he gasped once he saw the painting being thrown into the room from the broken glass. Kaitou Kid then glided upwards.
'Hang in there, Aoko…', He thought desperately.
"I can't believe your personal grudge against Kuroba was much more important than Nakamori-san's life.", Saguru said in disappointment, "I thought he was exaggerating when he said you're a bad person, but I see his point.".
"You know, I wasn't affected by your spell too, and I was actually interested in you.", He said making Akako look at him in disbelief.
Her disbelief wasn't because he knew her truth, but because he genuinely liked her, even while knowing she is a witch. Akako would be lying if she said she wasn't drawn to Saguru, but she honestly believed he was interested in Aoko, that's why she didn't even try. That, and another reason.
"I always thought that not all Magi people are selfish or evil as they're rumored to be… even after one killed my mother five years ago.", Saguru mumbled making Akako's eyes go wide.
"But apparently, you are all the same.", Saguru said coldly, feeling betrayed and hurt.
Saguru walked away towards the building's roof door, ignoring Akako's calls.
Akako always thought herself to be high and mighty above all, but Hakuba Saguru, the boy she always denied she liked or that he may even look at her, made her realize that she might be no different than her parents.
"Hakuba-kun…", She mumbled, as a tear from each eye trailed down her face.
Only two buildings were near the hotel and higher than it, and that was where multiple snipers were located.
On one of the buildings, four snipers were aiming at the roof of the hotel, with the other three guarding the other sides of the building.
The one watching across the four snipers watched the streets through the sniper rifle's scope before he felt a sharp blade on his neck, and he was slaughtered with the blade, dying instantly without a sound, blood pouring from his neck as his murderer placed him slowly on the ground.
The one on the left side of the building felt hands grab his head, before they snapped it roughly to the side, breaking his neck, and killing him in an instant.
The sniper on the right side of the building heard something and turned around, only to receive a blade in his chest. He let out a quick cry that made his fellow crows notice. One of them, as soon as he saw the masked black-clothed intruder, fired at her with his rifle.
The intruder, a FAUSD agent, charged towards the one shooting, holding the man hanging from her blade like a shield to take all the bullets. She was so fast that she impaled the other sniper with the rest of the blade, before kicking the dead bodies off her blade. She used both of her blades and swung them, as she dashed between the other two snipers. A second later, their necks were slashed, and were pouring blood.
The last sniper stared in horror at the FAUSD agent who was walking slowly towards him, her suit and blades were covered in blood.
"W-w-what are you?!", He cried in horror.
"Your worst nightmare.", She replied coldly before she swung her right blade hard, cutting off the last sniper's head. The dead sniper fell on his knees before falling to the ground, blood pouring from his neck, his head lying behind his feet.
The FAUSD agent pressed a button on her suit, causing the helmet to retract.
"Shadow Assassin here.", Nina said as her cold eyes scanned the bloody scene she'd done. "First group of Snipers are down. Send a unit to clean up to avoid any further problems.", She continued.
She started walking away as she mumbled in American English, "I hate the crows.".
On the second building, the Snipers stood in the same orientation.
Four smoke bombs were dropped from above, catching the interest of all snipers, who couldn't even see their weapons from the smoke.
One by one, each of them was shot in the head, falling on the ground, dead.
The smoke cleared after a few moments, showing a FAUSD agent who was holding two futuristic-looking black guns. He pressed a button on his suit to cause the helmet to retract.
"Black Cat here.", Ryu said nonchalantly, "Second sniper group down, send a unit to take the bodies.".
"All of that for a phantom thief, you guys are petty.", Ryu commented as he stared at the dead bodies.
The elevator door opened, with Amuro walking swiftly followed by Masumi, before he stood next to a room's door, room number 512. Amuro looked back at Masumi, his face expression grim.
"If they see my face, I'll have to kill them and-".
"I've killed before, so I'm used to it.", Masumi replied coldly, "And I'm gonna kill them too, it's personal for me.".
Amuro raised an eyebrow.
"It's not just Shu-nii whom they hurt. Mama, Elena-Obasan, Atsushi-Ojisan, my cousins…", Masumi closed her eyes in anger.
Amuro's eyes widened for a second, 'Elena and Atsushi? Could it possibly be that…'.
"Let's focus on this, then tell me everything.", Amuro said as he looked at the door, "I might be able to help.".
"Fine.", Masumi said and then Amuro fired at the knob before kicking the door open.
5 agents were inside the room, with one setting up the bomb to a wall. They froze and turned around at the gunshot sound, to be even more shocked to see Bourbon aiming at them.
Amuro fired and killed two agents while the others rolled out of the way. He knelt down, and Masumi jumped over his back, sending a flying kick into the head of one of the agents, before using the gun to shoot him in the head, and turning to her right to shoot the fourth in the head too.
The fifth agent cursed before raising his gun to shoot, only for Amuro to shoot him in the chest instantly.
"Didn't know you were great at shooting, just thought you knew how to use a gun.", Amuro said as he walked towards the bomb attached with tapes to the wall.
"That was nothing, I can do more than that.", Masumi shrugged before she glared at Amuro, "And that's a warning for you.".
Amuro looked at her silently as he thought, 'If Miyano Elena is related to her, then I need to play it cool around her to find out more.'.
"We arrived in time, they haven't activated the bomb yet.", Amuro said before he turned around and said, "I need to leave now, and I think you should-".
He stopped talking once he saw that Masumi had already left the room.
Makoto kicked the door, removing it from the hinges before he grabbed it, and swung it sideways at the nearest two agents in the room, sending them flying away and knocking them out. Heiji grabbed a vase found a table inside the room and threw it at the third agent's face, stunning him, before he speared him from the waist into the ground and punched him, knocking him out.
Makoto, still holding the now nearly destroyed door, slammed it on the head of the fourth agent knocking him out, just as Heiji grabbed the last agent's hand that using the gun, kneed him in the groin, causing him to kneel over while groaning.
Heiji grabbed him from the collar of his suit and head-butt him hard, knocking him out instantly.
"I hope the cameras are deactivated or else we are all going to prison.", Makoto sweat dropped as Heiji approached the bomb taped to the wall.
"Da bomb hasn' been activated. Looks like dey haven' been here for a long time, so dey definitely ruined da cameras.", Heiji deduced.
Ran kicked the door of the room, destroying it, just as Conan used his soccer belt to form a ball, before starting his electric shoes.
Ran took the agents by surprise, charging in to knock one out with a punch, and roundhouse kicking one away. Conan shot a soccer ball at the third agent who attempted to shoot Ran.
One grabbed Ran from behind, but the Yellow Ranger kicked him in the shin, forcing him to release her, before she kicked him away hard, slamming his back into the wall and causing to crack. Conan ran inside and kicked one of the guns on the ground with his shoes, sending it flying into the last agent's face, knocking him out, and causing a few teeth to fall.
"They haven't activated the bomb yet, we arrived on time.", Conan said once he looked at the bomb attached with tapes to the wall.
"Oh look Aoko!", Snake said once the roof's door was slammed open, Ginzo walking in slowly with Charlie behind him, "Daddy's here!".
"I don't know who you are, but my daughter has nothing to do with this. Suzuki has left with Mouri to bring the cops and I couldn't stop them, so let's end this before they arrive…", Ginzo spoke as calmly as he can.
"I thought I was clear about what I said.", Snake snarled before looking at the timer of the bomb around the silently crying Aoko, "5 minutes left.".
Before Ginzo can speak, Kaitou Kid landed on the building, grim looking, as he stood up to face Snake.
"Let go off Nakamori-san, Snake. I'm the one you want.", Kid said.
"Ah Kid! Nice to see you joining us!", Snake cried, "Now is your chance, Nakamori, kill Kid, if you want your daughter to survive.".
"N-Nani…?", Ginzo mumbled in disbelief.
"Keibu.". Ginzo looked at Kid to see him raising his hands up in complete surrender.
"I'm unarmed, so go ahead.", Kid said making Ginzo look at him angrily.
"Urusei! I may hate you and want to put you in prison! But that doesn't mean I want to kill you!", Ginzo cried angrily before he coughed, feeling a harsh kick in his back, that made him fall on his knees.
"You're such a wimp.", Charlie spat.
Snake's eyes widened in anger. "Cognac! What are you doing exposing yourself?!", He cried.
Charlie, or now Cognac, stomped Ginzo's back making Kaito clench his teeth in anger while the man cried in pain.
"I've had enough of pretending to be the good guy around these idiots. And that thief! Made me a joke around the agents because I failed to kill him twice and I never fail!", Cognac snarled angrily, "So I'll not just kill him, I'll kill everyone that was involved and-".
Cognac was interrupted by a kick to his back, the same as the one he had done to Ginzo, but this one sent him flying a few feet forward.
"Nani?!", Snake cried in disbelief at the new arrivals. Cognac sat up and looked behind him to see Dan and Kogoro aiming guns at him.
"Your obsession to take Kid down by any means necessary was suspicious to me.", Kogoro grunted in disgust, "But then Kazama told me you're actually a wanted criminal who managed to form a new identity as an NYPD inspector.".
"You do anything I'll-".
"The bombs haven't even been activated, your men were stopped before they could do anything.", Dan replied with a cowboy smirk, "And my men took down your snipers.".
"How did you even know?!", Snake cried in disbelief.
"I hacked into Cognac's phone.", Dan shrugged.
"There is no way-". Snake was interrupted by Kaitou Kid throwing himself on him.
Snake landed hard on his back, Kid pinning him with his body, disarming the man before he used both fists and started punching Snake with all of the anger and hate he had inside him.
Ginzo got up and ran towards Aoko.
"Aoko, sweetie, don't worry, I'll save you!", Ginzo cried as he tried to figure out what to do with the bomb. Aoko just nodded weakly, feeling light-headed.
Cognac gritted his teeth in anger at his failure to capture Kid, and he heard a female voice say in his mind.
"If you fail this time, I personally turn you into ashes. Succeed, by any means necessary.".
Dan and Kogoro looked back at Cognac and their eyes widened, once they saw his body growing larger, sharp nails resembling claws growing out, fangs sprouting from his mouth.
Snake kneed Kid in the groin before he pushed him aside. Snake immediately ran from the roof's door, taking the chance of Kogoro and Dan's surprise at Cognac's transformation.
The other Rangers, including Saguru, arrived just as Kid got up, only to see the transformation with Dan and Kogoro. Even Ginzo turned around from the animal growls he was hearing.
In Charlie's place, stood a large muscular humanoid lion, wearing nothing but torn pants.
"I'VE HAD IT WITH ALL OF YOU!", Cognac growled as he swung his arm, Dan and Kogoro ducked at the last minute before they ran in opposite directions away from the monster.
"What the hell is that thing?!", Ginzo cried in horror.
"Lab rat, definitely.", Dan said as he and Kogoro ran towards Ginzo, Dan trying to free the girl from the collar bomb, while Ginzo was freeing his daughter from the ropes.
"Great, first Power Rangers, then robots, now Werelions! Any sci-fi shit that still hasn't happened?", Kogoro cried.
Kid jumped on top of Cognac's head and used his cape to cover his eyes, causing the Werelion to howl in anger.
Masumi, Ran, Heiji, Saguru, and Makoto charged forward. Each used their max civilian strength to hit Cognac, Makoto in the abs, Masumi and Ran in the knees, while Heiji and Saguru kicked him the back.
The Werelion kneeled on his knees just Conan formed a soccer ball and started his electric shoes, then kicked the ball, hitting Cognac in the groin, causing him to howl in pain loudly as he kneeled over.
Kid jumped off the Werelion just as Dan charged past him, holding the collar bomb in his hand. Cognac recovered fast however and turned around to face Dan in anger.
He swung his claws at him but Dan jumped high in the air, avoiding them, grabbed Cognac's mane, and sat on his head.
Cognac started thrashing and turning around while howling, with Dan holding onto him tightly, like a cowboy in a rodeo.
"Calm down kitty, so this can be over for all of us!", Dan said with a smirk but a vein was popping from his forehead.
Cognac froze in his place once he felt a bullet hit him in the chest, giving Dan the chance to throw the collar bomb inside his mouth. Dan jumped off the were lion, away from him.
Instead of exploding as everyone expected, Cognac was electrified by a 60-volt shock from the bomb inside him. He let out a painful scream for the five minutes he was electrocuted, before falling down face first, dead.
Nina whistled at the scene she watched using her binoculars. "So it was a volt bomb, they were gonna torture the girl to death literally.", She said in disgust before smirking, "Serves that bastard right.".
Ryu stopped filming with his phone once Cognac fell and sent the video with a text.
Shiho, how many BO agents are like Cognac or Inspector Charlie?
Don't know. I wasn't in charge of those experiments.
Can they be cured? How did they even do that? What else have they achieved? Was this his true strength?

"Didn't know you can use a sniper rifle.", Bourbon commented as he saw Vermouth putting the rifle back in its bag, the one she used to shoot Cognac. They were standing on the roof of a nearby building.
"I know every method of assassin, but I prefer my silent swift style.", She replied.
"Was it really necessary to flirt with Kazama like that?", Bourbon asks drily.
Vermouth smirked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Do you wanna know what happened between us in private?".
Bourbon made a disgusted face. "No, thank you.", He replied instantly.
Vermouth just laughed in delight.
"Still, I didn't think you would shoot Cognac.", He said in wonder.
Vermouth then looked at where Cognac's body would be.
"He wanted to kill my godsons, my Angel, and their friends. So he had it coming.".
