She opened the door and looked surprised.

"You should have text me! I'd have come to you" she said, a little outraged.

"It's fine" he grunted. It wasn't fine, his back was killing him.

"Doesn't look fine" she said.

"Can you stop?" At his blunt response she groaned and rolled her eyes.

"Me stop? I thought we had a truce. Cut the attitude" she said.

"Sorry" he conceded, softening his tone in a way that clearly surprised her.

"Do you want a cup of tea?" She offered with some trepidation. He debated his answer for a second.

"Yeah, go on then" he said, stepping inside.
