Saguru sat at his desk, an opened small notebook on the desk, and he was spinning his pencil between his fingers.

"Maybe this can be useful.", Saguru said as he wrote down a few notes with simple sketches.

Since he started training, Saguru secretly had been designing and writing down ideas for techniques for his powers. He'd observed how each Ranger took advantage of their skills and mixed them with their powers.

Shinichi was a soccer player, and most of his fire techniques were soccer ones, but he also knew some boxing techniques (since he started training), and some using his weapon.

Ran and Masumi were using their agility as fighters with their strength to develop different techniques. Makoto wasn't as creative as the others, but he was doing his best, taking ideas from the other Rangers, or even going as far as searching on the internet or in books or media. Kaito, well, he was Kaitou Kid, the most creative and acrobatic person you might ever see, so he had no problem creating more techniques, and he was even advancing in training faster than him.

Saguru clenched his free fist. All he knew in sports was Chess and some Fencing, plus marksmanship. He knew he had to admit, he was the weakest in the Rangers.

Shinichi was like him, and he says he was because Shinichi had known some easy moves from Ran and the Kazama family. Still, he was able to be professional in Boxing and learn more quickly. Also, using his soccer abilities in fighting, soccer itself had given him physical abilities like agility, endurance, and speed which are important. He had the Kazama family to help him in training.

Ran knew Karate and Judo mostly but seemed to know more fighting styles. Masumi preferred Jeet Kune Do, but she'd shown some other techniques of other styles. Makoto preferred Karate only, but he'd shown some other styles too. The difference between him and Ran was that she was faster while Makoto was stronger. And each of them had their family to help in training.

Kaito was acrobatic, and his magician skills helped him in creating the craziest techniques. He already knew some self-defense moves from the Kazama siblings and Ran, but now he was advancing in his fighting training. Kaito, like Shinichi, had the Kazama family to train him.

So Saguru was the least when it came to fighting.

Then he clenched his fists once he thought of the Blue Ranger.

Heiji had everything.

He was a master swordsman, knowing also Jujitsu and Boxing for unarmed combat. He knew how to use a gun. He has a girlfriend who supports him through everything, and his parents care about him.

No, his father cared about him.

Saguru then glanced at the photo placed on his desk. It was of him and his parents, a year before his mother died. His father, Now Superintendent Hakuba Mamuro, was having a warm smile. He was a tall toned serious calm man, with light skin, brown eyes, and short black hair.

The woman, his mother, Doctor Serena Hakuba [neé Bennet], had a cheerful wide smile on her face. She was a petite cheerful and pure woman with pale skin, green eyes, and long wavy brown hair.

Saguru smiled sadly at the photo. He truly missed his mother and the days when she was still around. When he, Mamoru, Serena, and their butler Shikibe Kashiko, were one family. But after his mother's death, Mamuro neglected Saguru, spending most days in his office, and only Kashiko was the one paying any attention to Saguru.

Saguru doesn't even recall a moment he would travel to his mother's homeland, England when his father would come to say goodbye at the airport. He didn't even receive lots of calls from him when he stayed there to receive his education, after his mother's death, only coming back to Japan in his second high school year.

Saguru walked downstairs to the mansion and raised an eyebrow once he saw his father sitting on the couch, watching the TV. He was watching the news channel, with reporters talking about the Power Rangers.

"You seem bothered, Mamoru-san.", Kashiko said as she presented Mamoru with a cup of tea on a tray.

"The news is representing them as if they were heroes.", Mamoru scoffed.

"You disagree with the news?", Kashiko asked curiously.

"Mysterious beings with powers using them just to help us? I'm not buying that.", Mamuro snorted, "They're abnormal freaks who have a bigger agenda, I know it. I may not be able to do anything against them now, but I'll have them behind bars, just like every other criminal.".

Mamoru then changed the channel and smiled once he found a news channel that shared his opinion on the Power Rangers.

Saguru rolled his eyes at his father's words, and the things the news reporter was saying, before he decided to go upstairs back to his room, no need to greet his father while he was in his 'Kill every and anything not normal' mood.

Saguru closed the door to his room before he sat back at the desk, but he was interrupted by a hoarse.

He looked beside him to see his pet hawk, Watson standing right next to his notebook, with his Zord Arthur, on the top of Watson's head.

"I never thought you two would become fast friends.", Saguru said in wonder at the strange friendship between the two.

Watson hoarse just as Arthur moved a little, both glancing at the notebook.

"I'm just trying to be useful in the team.", Saguru mumbled earning a deadpan look from both his partners.

Saguru's sweat dropped, 'Never knew animals and robots could have that look….'.

Arthur then moved again with Watson hoarsing a few times after him, making Saguru scoff.

"You two are just saying I'm indeed useful so you don't want me to be sad.", He said.

Arthur rolled his eyes making Saguru frown.

"I'm not acting like a teenage girl!", He argued.

Watson then side-eyed Saguru, agreeing with Arthur.

"Whatever makes you two happy.", Saguru scoffed before he focused back on the notebook, ignoring the looks he was receiving from Watson and Arthur.

"Dad! Tell Shane to stop!", a 12-year-old boy cried annoyed. He was wearing Shaolin-like clothes but colored white. He had light skin, his hair was short and spiky, colored purple, but his eyes were aqua blue.

"I did nothing!", A 17-year-old laughed. He wore the same clothes as the boy, he too had light skin, but his silver hair was long tied in a low ponytail, and his eyes were green.

"Shane, stop showing off in front of your brother, you know he is still training.", Kaiden scolded.

"But Dad, Alexis is taking a long time to learn this move.", Shane argued as he pointed at the dummies present in the dojo room they were in, "The dummies haven't even been scratched.".

"Just because he didn't do that move doesn't mean he is awful.", A beautiful woman said as she crossed her arms. She was wearing a blue sleeveless gi. Her skin was light, with green eyes, and long purple hair tied in a high ponytail.

"You couldn't even summon your animal spirit Shane, but Alexis did, so stop showing off.", The woman smirked making Shane look away while Percival smirked.

"What's the matter? Big and powerful Shane Kaidenson unable to find his animal spirit? Maybe it ran away from you?", Alexis teased.

"Alexis Kaidenson, I challenge you to a duel!", Shane cried angrily, wanting to teach his brother a lesson.

"I accept!", Alexis said.

"No, you won't.", Kaiden said as he slammed his staff on the ground, the boys looking at him before looking down, knowing they were in trouble.

"You two, will continue your training, but you'll start with the boring basics, now.", Kaiden ordered.

"But Dad-", Both boys chorused.

"I said, Now.", Kaiden stressed. Both boys shivered before they started running rounds around the large dojo mat.

The woman chuckled as she poked Kaiden in his chest. "Beats me how a nice man like you can have such a strict personality." " she said.

"I think that's my charm, my dear Elise.", Kaiden chuckled as he pecked Elise on the cheek.

"Hmmm…. Maybe that's one of the many charms you have because this isn't the charm that made me accept your marriage proposal.", Elise hummed.

Kaiden raised an eyebrow curiously, "Then what?".

Elise placed her finger on his heart as she blushed, "It's that kind and loving heart you have, Kai.".

"I could say the same about you, Elise.", Kaiden said warmly as he kissed Elise on her forehead.

"Get a room you two!". Kaiden chuckled while Elise scoffed before they both turned around to look at the dojo's doors.

"You do the same, Klaus!", She argued.

The man had light skin, a tall muscular body, black hair defying gravity, brown eyes, wearing a white buttoned shirt with black pants and shoes. Next to him was a woman with blue hair, pale skin, and green eyes. She wore a simple dress and was holding in her arms a 3-year-old girl who had pale skin and green eyes, but her father's black hair, with a ponytail style.

"I can confirm that, but he doesn't do any romantic moves in public.", The woman giggled.

"I told you before, Faye, I have a reputation for being a tough and mighty Sage, I can't look soft.", Klaus reminded me.

"He calls himself a Sage when he is wearing that….", Percival mumbled with Shane nodded.

"Yeah, he looks like a slacker.", Shane commented.

"I HEARD THAT!", Klaus cried angrily as he pointed at the running boys, a tick mark appearing on his head. Both boys yelped before running faster, pretending to be focused on training.

"Shane and Alexis are scared of Papa!", The little girl clapped in joy, "Papa is very strong!".

Faye smiled at her daughter with a nod, "Yes, Papa is very strong, June, and someday you'll be strong like him!".

"That if she doesn't end up being a Scientist like you.", Klaus pointed out, "I can imagine it, Doctor June Klausdottir, genius Scientist!".

"Maybe she can do both, we do have Sages working as Scientists, but not as many.", Elise voiced her opinions.

"But you usually wouldn't come to the Sage Academy's dojo unless there is something, Klaus.", Kaiden pointed out.

Klaus nodded, "Ah, FAUSD called some Sages to investigate something connected to Sage history, some sort of old possessed Sage temple.".

Elise rolled her eyes, "Ghosts and Magic again?".

"The last missions we got similar to this were debunked.", Kaiden recalled.

"True, but they say they sent a couple of agents, and they didn't return. So they send some robots and the robots…. You know…", Klaus gave Kaiden a look and he immediately understood.

The agents were brought back dead.

"Okay, I'll come with you.", Kaiden said before he looked at June, "Hey June! Would you like to play with Shane and Alexis?".

June immediately beamed, "Yes! Love playing with big brother Shane and big brother Alexis!".

Kaiden then looked at the boys, "For the sake of June, I'll let you two not train for today.".

"YES!", Both boys cheered before they noticed Kaiden's look, and they immediately bowed, "Thank you, Dad.".

"There is a festival beginning nearby, maybe we can check it out until you guys are done.", Faye suggested.

"Anything but sitting around doing nothing.", Elise nodded.

Kaiden hugged the boys before he hugged Elise and kissed her forehead, "See you all soon.", He said.

Klaus had done the same with Faye and June, "See you around.", He said.

"W-What…. Happened?", Klaus managed to say through his shock.

He and Kaiden had returned from their mission and arrived at where the festival would be, only to see a bloodbath. Most people were massacred, had a rock fallen on them, or burned, or anything else one can imagine, very few were alive. The FAUSD agents had just arrived and were trying to help the very few survivors, who were critically injured.

Kaiden and Klaus dashed immediately, horror present on their faces, searching for their families.

Klaus's eyes widened, taking a few steps back before he fell to his knees. Faye was covering June with her body, but the rock that was above her was huge, big enough to crush her and her daughter whom she tried to protect, especially since none of them were fighters or had any powers.

Tears fell down Klaus's face as he slowly reached his hand toward their bodies before pulling away in disbelief.

"No…. This wasn't possible…. Why…. Why…. They did nothing…. They're innocent….", Klaus mumbled incoherently, "I did nothing to deserve this…. Why….".

Klaus clenched his teeth as he gripped the bloody grass beneath him before he let out a painful scream that echoed around, making everyone know his pain.

Making everyone know, that Klaus Vegason, the mighty Sage, had been broken.

Kaiden fell to his knees, tears pouring from his eyes at the scene in front of him. Shane, Percival, and Elise, each had a child they covered with their body, trying to protect. But the electricity that hit them, and Kaiden could tell it was electricity from the burn marks on their body, electrocuted them all to death. They took the hit instead of the children, only that somehow, the surge would reach the kids too.

"Shane….", Kaiden said as he turned his son over to look at his face, as he slowly hugged him. His eldest son, his first joy, the one whom he knew would someday lead FAUSD, because that was all he talked about and thought of when training.

He then turned and did the same with Alexis, "Alexis….", His second son, whom Kaiden thought from his personality and determination, if he didn't end up being chosen as a Power Ranger, he would end up being their Sage mentor.

Kaiden then turned to Elise, and if there was any remaining piece not broken in him yet after seeing his sons, it was shattered after seeing Elise. "My dear Elise….".

His brain showed him memories of when they first met as 12-year-old teenagers during their days at the Sage Academy, Elise supporting him despite not having his Chi Awakening, training together, winning martial arts tournaments, their dates, their marriage at the age of 20.

Kaiden brushed a strand of her hair off her face, as his mind showed him more memories, when they first had Shane, Shane growing up, and then Alexis came along, and how they all lived together as a happy family. How he and Elise spent time as Sage instructors in the Academy.

Kaiden started sniffing before he let out a gruesome cry of pain, echoing around, but he didn't stop, he continued crying and sniffing loudly, his voice echoing for everyone to hear.

"What…. The hell… were you thinking?", The FAUSD Edenian chief seethed.

It was only days after the incident, and they'd buried everyone dead. Now the chief with Kaiden and Klaus, who wanted to attend this meeting, and some high FAUSD agents were interrogating the Power Rangers, who were from Transyl, about what happened.

"We did what must be done.", The Male Red Ranger answered coldly.

"What must be done?", The chief repeated in disbelief.

"Our job is to make sure no scumbags would walk around. And there was a syndicate of multiple species with technology and magic hiding in Eden. We decided to end them all.", The Male Blue Ranger said.

"It's not our fault they headed towards a civil area.", The Female Pink Ranger shrugged.

"They did this because they thought you wouldn't attack the civilians.", Klaus spat, "But you did, didn't you?".

"Collateral Damage.", The Male Black Ranger answered.

"YOU KILLED NEARLY EVERYONE IN A MUSIC FESTIVAL! AND DESTROYED SEVERAL HOUSES & SCHOOLS! YOUR ACTIONS CAUSED THE DEATH OF AROUND 2500 AND 7500 INJURED! INCLUDING MANY OF OUR FAMILIES!", The chief cried before he pointed at Klaus and Kaiden, "THOSE TWO HERE LOST ALL OF THEIR FAMILIES!".

"They would've done the same.", The Female Yellow Ranger argued.

"I would've tried to lure them away, not kill people.", Kaiden answered as calmly as he could, "Your main job is to protect the people.".

"Look here, pacifist," The Male Red Ranger started, "We were chosen to clean the world from evil, and we will do, by any means necessary, because we are powerful, with and without the Medallions, we will reform this world into one without crime and scumbags walking around, even if it means random people falling.".

"You killed a man who was trying to steal bread to eat!", One of the agents argued.

"Stealing is wrong.", The Male Green Ranger stated.

"The Death penalty is served by jurisdiction and it's only for the following crimes: murder, rape, torture, treachery, and treason! But not theft, especially when the man was homeless and needed help!", Another agent argued.

"Then you should've helped him before he became a criminal.", The Male White Ranger said.

"So….", Klaus started, making everyone look at him. But Kaiden had a weird feeling from the strange look in his best friend's eyes.

"You did this…. Because you believe in something…. And because you can….", Klaus mumbled making the Red Ranger nod.

"Exactly.", He said.

"That's not the point here!", The chief cried before he continued to argue with the Transylian Rangers, while Kaiden observed how Klaus suddenly had a faraway look on his face.

And then he heard him mumble, "Strong and mighty….. Powerful…. Reshape the world as one pleases…. Strange, very strange….".

"KAIDEN!". The Edenian snapped out of his thoughts to see Akira and Static looking at him worriedly.

"What?", He asked confused.

"We've been trying to call you for some time.", Akira said worriedly.

"You've zoned out as soon as we put on the news channel that was complaining about the Rangers.", Static said as he pointed at the monitor, displaying the news.

The news reporter was complaining about the Rangers, saying they were nothing but a menace, destroying property worth lots of money, performing act vigilantism, and the list goes on.

Kaiden sighed as he rubbed his head, "The reporter called the Rangers criminals, and may end up becoming murderers…. I had a flashback to back then with the Transylian Rangers.".

Akira and Static became sad immediately and looked at their foster father with pity.

"Kaiden…", Akira didn't know what to say.

"It's okay…. I've come to terms with it a long time ago… The same with my students, the former Rangers…. They all live in a better place right now, they now exist in my heart and memory, visiting me often in my dreams.", Kaiden sighed heavily, "I was just wondering what would've they said if the Transyl Rangers were here, not the current ones.".

Akira and Static shivered, and shared a look, before Static answered, "We don't think they would've lived long enough to speak up.".

The Next Day,

The Rangers were present in the dojo room across from Kaiden. Static was busy in another room, working on a surprise, as Kaiden had told the Rangers, while Akira had to work in his human jobs.

"Today, I want to teach you an art that you Humans may know, but very few can reach their potential in it. It's an Edenian Martial Art, but it was seen practiced by other species. Even the Jungle Fury Rangers used.", Kaiden started, "We call it Spirit Beast Fist.".

"Let me guess, it has something ta do wid de Animal Style Kung Fu?", Heiji guessed.

"Spot on, Heiji.", Kaiden nodded making Heiji smirk for a second, but he noticed that Saguru frowned at the same second.

"Now-", Kaiden didn't get the chance to finish because the alarm went off in the ship, and he sighed, knowing what that meant.

"I guess we will continue later after you finish the battle.", He shrugged.

The Rangers arrived, morphed, in Beika City, and across them was only one monster, no Gridnoids at all. He had one metallic leg ending with two large wheels, but he had a bulky black metallic chest with two thin arms, thin fingers ending with sharp nails, and a demon-like face, with glowing red eyes.

"Wait…. Where is the core?", Shinichi noticed.

"Take a guess Rangers!", The monster laughed.

"I say we just cut him!", Heiji cried.

"What a stupid idea.", Saguru commented.

"What did ya say?", Heiji didn't like Saguru's comment.

"You heard me, stupid.", Saguru replied coldly.

"Guys, focus!", Shinichi cried, but the two Rangers completely ignored him.

"Well at least I know how ta fight and ain' a cold bastard like ya!", Heiji snarled making Saguru frown under his helmet.

"You just got lucky being Daddy's boy.", Saguru nearly spat in jealousy.

"What did ya just say?", Heiji snarled.

"I think we should handle it alone because I think chaos will happen now...", Kaito suggested.

"Agreed…", Shinichi sighed heavily before he and the others charged towards the robot monster.

"WATCH THIS!", Kaito cheered as he started flipping around before suddenly, the robot monster fired a purple beam from his hand, and it hit Kaito in the head, before he was frozen mid-air, in a transparent cylinder-like purple prison.

"Got rid of the monkey, now for the rest of you!", The robot monster snarled.

"Let's see how you'll get rid of this!", Masumi cried as he pulled out her Neo Striker, but her eyes widened once the robot monster drove with his wheels and disappeared from Masumi's sight, before she let out a cry of pain, as she was hit by a beam from behind by the robot, placing her in the same prison as Kaito.

"Anyone else?", The robot asked.

"Yeah, US!". The robot turned around only to see Shinichi, Makoto, and Ran swinging their Neo Striker Blades towards him, but he drove backward before firing a larger-sized beam, hitting them all at once, placing them too in a prison.

"That was easy.", The robot shrugged before he looked back at the remaining Rangers.

"You heard me! You're a spoiled brat who walks around with his nose high! Oh great detective of the east and Kendo champion!", Saguru cried.

"Oh, so that's what it's all about huh?! Jealousy?! Yar jealous cuz I can do things better than ya?!", Heiji cried back.

The robot sweatdropped at the argument as he rubbed his head, "But both of you now suck as Rangers, because you hadn't noticed yet that I imprisoned your friends… So I guess you're even?".

"I can do better than you, be a Ranger and fighter better than you, and make my father proud too!", Saguru said without a second thought, making Heiji understand everything in a minute.

Saguru didn't hate Heiji as a person, but he had been jealous of Heiji's life, and the reason was Saguru's father. After all, both of them had parents in high positions in the police, but while Hattori Heizo, as strict as he can be, was supportive of his child, Hakuba Mamoru wasn't.

And as for the other Rangers, this wasn't just some sort of energy prison.

Shinichi found himself back in his house, but it was on fire. Shinichi looked around in horror before his heart stopped beating once he spotted who was being burned in the living room; Ran and her parents.

"R-Ran! Occhan! Obasan!", He cried as he ran towards them, but he stopped dead in his tracks once he saw Gin and Vodka appearing from the shadows, and he gasped once he recognized the dead body Gin was holding from its neck; Haibara.

"See what happens when you put your nose in our business?", Gin sneered as he threw Haibara away, Shinichi following her with her eyes, and that's when he noticed more dead bodies being burned; his friends, Agasa, his family, everyone he ever knew.

Shinichi stood horrified in place, his greatest nightmare, his greatest fear, was right in front of him. This has to be fake, this had to be fake or else he was going to go insane!

"No…. This can't be…", He trembled in his place in disbelief, "No-".

He was interrupted by Gin kicking him hard in the chest before he fell back into the flames. Shinichi let out a gruesome cry of pain, as he felt the flames slowly and painfully burn him alive.

Ran found herself in a completely different street, but once she noticed the dojo she used to train in, her eyes widened.

"This place…", She couldn't even finish the sentence before she heard someone walk towards her from behind, she turned around and gasped as she covered her mouth.

It was a tall lean toned light-skinned Japanese man, with spiky brown hair, and violet-blue eyes. He had a sword stabbed through his heart as he slowly walked towards Ran, his eyes lifeless.

"Why couldn't you save me?", He said weakly.

"H-Hikaru-Sensei…", Ran started crying as she stared at her uncle, godfather, and teacher, "I tried… But…".

"You were weak…. And couldn't save me…", Hikaru spat before weakly pointing behind Ran, "Just like you couldn't save them….".

Ran looked behind harder and gasped again, her eyes widened in horror. All of a sudden behind her appeared were her parents and friends with Shinichi, all stabbed with swords in a similar way to Hikaru's dead body.

Ran remained frozen in her place, tears falling down her face silently before she heard something move behind her. She slowly turned around, only for Hikaru to have a sword appear in his hand before he stabbed her in the chest.

Ran grunted in pain as Hikaru stabbed her and knocked her to the ground, she stared fearfully into his eyes as Hikaru snarled, as he pulled out the blade and stabbed her again, ignoring her cries of pain.

"It should've been you that died that day.".

Masumi blinked a few times as she noticed she was no longer in her suit but in her casual clothes, and found herself in an abandoned warehouse. She looked around confused.

'I think I know this place…. Wait….', Her eyes widened, 'This was one of the warehouses of that trafficking group where they raped and killed the children!'.

"Why….?". Masumi turned around and her eyes widened further in horror. Several dead children, mainly girls, with pools of blood underneath them were present. One of them, completely bruised, blood pouring from her mouth, was bleeding walking slowly towards Masumi.

"Why couldn't you save me?", She asked, "Why couldn't you stop them sooner?".

"I….I", Masumi found no words to say. Her mind went back to the four warehouses she found with several dead bodies like this, and the fifth was the last one where she knocked out the two guards, killed the cop, and those guards then confessed about the whole group and brought them down.

"Masumi?". Masumi turned around to see Shuichi, Shukichi, Haibara, and Mary standing together.

And her eyes widened once she saw one of the guards standing behind her family.

"This is for ruining our business.", He spat as he pulled out a gun.

"NO!", Masumi cried as she ran towards her family, and cried once the man fired.

A bullet pierced each one of her family in the head, and they all fell dead.

"No no no no, this isn't real, this isn't real!", Masumi mumbled multiple times, and then slowly, the area behind her family cleared, only for her to see everyone she had ever known, friend or acquaintance was dead.

"Why….?". Masumi looked back at her mother's dead body that was talking.

"Why did you fail to save us….?", She asked.

Masumi started walking back, her body trembling from the horror of the scene, wanting to escape that reality in any way.

Her body bumped into something and she quickly turned around, only to be met face-to-face with a cold Tsutomu.

"You call yourself a detective…. When you couldn't even protect your loved ones?", Tsutomu raised an eyebrow.

"I-". Masumi grunted once she felt something stab her, she slowly looked down to see Tsutomu impaling her with a knife to her stomach.

"You're no daughter of mine…", He cried as he kicked her back, before he pinned her down with his knees, raised the knife, and continued stabbing her multiple times, Masumi crying in pain every time the knife would enter or leave her body.

Makoto found himself on the street, but it was chaotic. Several cars crashed into trees, buildings, and light poles, while other cars crashed into each other, fire and exploding cars everywhere around him, red blood covering the gray asphalt and roads.

Makoto's eyes widened once he recognized one of the cars, it was of him and his father.

"You recognize that….". He slowly turned around, only to see Kyogoku Hideoyashi standing, with several glass and metal shards piercing nearly every part of his body, blood pouring from every single wound.

"This is the day I died because of you… You were late leaving class… had you arrived earlier… This wouldn't have happened….", Hideoyashi hissed.

"Tousan… I couldn't have done anything…", Makoto said as calmly as he could, but he was starting to panic from seeing his father like this and hearing those words, as he walked a few steps back.

Hideoyashi then pointed behind Makoto, "You're late… again.".

Makoto turned around and his eyes widened in horror. A bus had hit a burning petroleum truck, and Makoto saw who was inside, his friends, Masaki, Hina, and Sonoko. And both cars exploded.

Makoto's jaw dropped as his body started to tremble, unable to grasp the idea of what he had just seen, and wanting it to not be true by any means.

Makoto then grunted in pain, before he looked down to see a glass shard piercing his chest.

"I'll end it for you…", Hideoyashi hissed as he kicked Makoto off the glass shard, sending him crying in pain on his face on the ground, before he held a glass shard, and metal shard, and started stabbing numerous times in Makoto's back.

Kaito's eyes widened once he found himself inside a metal cage, big enough to leave a few inches for him to move his arms sideways, hanging in the air from a boat, right above the ocean, with shackles wrapped around his body.

"Got you now, Kaitou Kid.". He looked down at the ship and frowned once he saw Snake and the other Black Organization members, but his eyes widened in horror, once he saw the dead bodies behind them, which were all shot in their heads; Ginzo, Midoriko, his friends, his mother, Jii, and Aoko.

"A-AOKO! EVERYONE!", He cried in a horrified broken voice.

"This is what happens when you face us, Kuroba Kaito,", Snake sneered with a bloodthirsty smirk, "Now I'll send you to where I sent your father, in the most gruesome way possible.".

Suddenly, the metal cage was released into the ocean.

Kaito hadn't taken enough air before the cage fell, so he immediately started struggling for air, and he almost inhaled water from shock and horror, once he saw great white sharks swimming around his cage. One of them hit the cage, causing damage, and one of its teeth pierced into Kaito's arm.

Kaito started moving around, banging his head on the cage, trying to free himself from his shackles, in a panicked state at not only facing his worst fears and nightmares but also facing his phobia.

Saguru and Heiji stared in horror at how their friends screamed in gruesome pain while trapped in that cylinder as if being tortured to death.

"Go on! Keep on arguing! So I can imprison you both too!", The robot laughed, "And then, only a matter of time before you and your friends will die from the great Fearwheels's illusions.".

"What illusions?!", Saguru cried.

"YA BASTARD WHAT'VE YA DONE TA DEM?!", Heiji cried.

"This prison around them isn't just for containment, but it taps into their mind, and shows them all of their greatest fears combined and mixed. And any pain they feel in there isn't just imagination, they feel it physically too. So if someone is being shot, or stabbed, they're feeling the pain right now, and let's see how long will they last.", Fearwheels explained, "Oh! And only they can free themselves!".

Saguru and Heiji then jumped out of the way once Fearwheels shot his beam at them.

"We've got ta stop him an' free dem!", Heiji cried.

"Not easy with how quick he can be with his wheels!", Saguru cried.

'Are you always going to be completely useless?!", Saguru cursed himself before he noticed something, from the design of Fearwheels, he noticed that the upper torso wasn't connected to the lower one, so that meant that the upper torso they were seeing was a shield to protect the red core.

"Hattori!", Saguru called, "The chest is a shield, if I can break it, you can slice him.".

"Thought ya wanted ta prove yar a better Ranger.", Heiji cried as he ducked evading a beam.

"I can't cut like you… I can only do strong random damage with my powers.", Saguru shook his head.

"Will ya stop actin' like dat?!", Heiji screamed as he hit Saguru on the back of his head. "Ya aren' useless, ya showed some great techniques for someone who has no experience in fightin', so stop actin' like dat!", He cried angrily.

"H-Hattori…", Saguru said in shock at Heiji's words.

"Look buddy, I couldn' stand ya because I thought ya were an arrogant cold British bastard, wid his nose high cuz his father is da Superintendent,", Heiji started, "But our moments during dat Sunflowers issue showed me ya were somethin' more, so I suggest instead of being at each other's throats, we work together.".

Heiji raised his hand for Saguru to shake. Saguru nodded slowly before he took Heiji's hand.

Heiji's eyes widened once he saw that Fearwheels had appeared near Saguru from behind him and shot a beam.

"LOOKOUT!", Heiji cried as he pushed Saguru aside, taking the beam instead, and being placed in a confinement cylinder.

"HATTORI!", Saguru cried in horror.

Heiji found himself inside his family's home, but the ground's color could no longer be seen from the red blood bath present.

His eyes widened in horror as he looked around quickly, seeing the dead bodies on the ground. His mother had her throat slit, his father a sword pierced through his heart, Soshi had a deep x cut on his chest, and his friends had the same cuts that the former Rangers had had when facing the Akuma army.

Heiji then raised his head, and his eyes widened even more as he froze in his place. Kazuha was held by spider strings, the same way during that case, but there wasn't a place in her body that wasn't pierced by a sword, and what Heiji could tell, that there was no longer any blood in her body, and it had poured down all on the floor from her injuries.

"See what happens, when ya mess with me…", Heiji managed to slowly turn around to see Yari standing there holding two swords.

"Told ya, my father is in higher places dan yours… And I can do as I please…", Yari sneered just as Heiji felt his arms being caught by spider strings.

"Just like now…", Yari said as he pierced one of his swords in Heiji's right shoulder, and then he moved the blade slowly and firmly, cutting Heiji's body slowly, enjoying the screams of gruesome pain from his rival.

"Your turn!", Fearwheels cried as he shot the beam at Saguru.

"Forest Shield!", Saguru cried as a group of trees surrounded him, blocking Fearwheels's beams.

"Let's see how long will it last!", He heard Fearwheels cry before wincing once he heard the beams hitting the trees.

Saguru heard his Neomatrix beeping and he answered it. "Saguru, the Neo Runners are ready, access them from the vehicle button, and you'll see now two options! I'm so sorry I was late! If I had finished them earlier-", He heard Static cry.

"Not your fault. It's all mine, and I have to fix it.", Saguru interrupted as he pressed the vehicle button, the screen then showed two green buttons, one with a zord head, and the other had a motorbike. Saguru pressed the button and in a green light across him, a futuristic green motorcycle appeared in front of him.

He blinked before he slowly smirked, 'I think I have an idea…'.

"What the?!", Fearwheels cried once he saw the trees disappearing in green light before a motorcycle jumped above him and landed behind him. He turned around and frowned once he saw Saguru mounting his Neo Runner, holding his Axe in one hand.

"Ready for a race?", Saguru smirked as he reved his Runner.

"Bring it on, cowboy.", Fearwheels snorted as he revd his wheels.

Saguru tilted his head before positioning his axe ahead like a knight holding a lance. "I'm no Cowboy, I'm a Knight.", He replied.

The two charged at each other and Fearwheels shot a beam. Saguru moved his head and body backward, the beam missing his face by inches, but his axe hit Fearwheels in the right part of his upper torso, destroying half of the shield.

"You little….", Fearwheels glared as he turned around, just Saguru drifted with his bike before facing Fearwheels, "I'll kill you…".

"I'm afraid not.", Saguru said in British English before he and Fearwheels charged again.

Saguru did the same move, destroying the remaining shield of Fearwheels, and Saguru continued charging forward while Fearwheels turned around early.

"Got you!", He cried as he shot the beam.

Saguru had heard him and slid sideways with his bike, ducking, and evading the beam, and adjusted his bike before charging towards Fearwheels. He swung his axe to attack him but Fearwheels dodged it before grabbing Saguru from his head, pulling him off his bike.

"Your turn to die NOW!", Fearwheels said as his hands glowed red, placing Saguru too in an illusion.

Saguru found himself in the middle of a forest, and he was very confused until he saw the camping gear ahead of him, and he immediately recognized it, it belonged to his family.

He then turned around and gasped in horror. What was present in front of him was what a cult sacrifice ritual would look like, bloody knives everywhere, strange symbols drawn on the ground and the trees, and in every circle on the ground, Saguru someone he knew was slaughtered; Kashiko, Akako, his father, his friends.

"No that's impossible….", He shook his head in disbelief, "I-I-I must be hallucinating… It can't be true!".

"Why… not?". Saguru's heart nearly stopped beating once he heard her voice. He slowly turned around behind him, to see his mother slowly approaching him, but her body was in an active decay state.

"You failed to save them after all… because you couldn't do anything… as always… even during that day… when I died…", Serena hissed, "You were watching when Mamoru asked you to call for help…".

"Kaasan… I… I…", Saguru couldn't find the words to explain what happened, and Serena placed her hand on his chest, and then he started feeling slow burning pain spreading from there to the rest of his body, and he started feeling, wherever the pain would spread in his body, this part was paralyzed, and he couldn't move, he couldn't even scream from the sheer amount of pain he was experiencing.

"Allow me to make you feel…. How it feels to be poisoned to death….", She snarled.

Ran's eyes widened once she saw her zombie uncle being stabbed by another sword in his chest, but this time, he completely disappeared, and he and all the illusions around her, and Ran found herself in a dojo room.

She looked up at where the zombie once stood to see who stabbed him, and her eyes widened as tears started forming when she looked at the glowing white man.

"Hey kiddo.", Kisaki Hikaru smirked warmly as he placed his sword back into the sheath on his back.

He tilted his head to the side as he opened his arms, "Won't I get a hug?".

Ran immediately jumped back up and rushed into Hikaru's arms, and the tears fell down her face.

"I've missed you, Hikaru….", She sniffed.

"Hikaru without Sensei, really?", Hikaru pouted as he ended the hug with Ran.

"Weren't you the one insisting on being called Sensei only in the dojo, because it makes you look old in public?", Ran teased playfully.

"Geez, are you gonna remember everything I do and say as Eri does with Kogoro?", Hikaru wondered before he and Ran shared a laugh.

"Nah, you're too nice and calm for that. Eri is…. Strict.", Hikaru commented.

"Can you blame her with Otousan's antics?", Ran rolled her eyes.

"Nah, but that doesn't mean those two aren't madly in love, but too stubborn to get things right.", Hikaru shrugged.

Ran then became solemn as she let out a scoff, "The illusions have made me desperate and crazy that I'm imagining you are here in my head….".

A tick mark appeared on Hikaru's head before slapped Ran on the back of her head.

"Oi!", Ran cried.

"So what if it's in your head? Why would that make it not real, huh?", Hikaru questioned making Ran remain silent and wonder about his words.

"Although, there are some thoughts in our heads that aren't real.", Hikaru said sternly, "Like you blaming me for my death.".

"I wasn't strong enough to save you.", Ran insisted solemnly.

"No. We were outnumbered. The murderer knew us well and planned everything so he could kill me, and abduct you, and you know that.", Hikaru said before a sad smile formed on his face, "But I held them long enough until the cops arrived so they can't abduct you. Ran, you know very well I would've easily died for you and your parents in a heartbeat, so I'm not mad about my death.".

"I'm more concerned about you. You slacked in training after you almost beat those guys to death, fearing your true strength, and you started pretending to be fine or fake smile after no one believed you about my death and called you crazy.", Hikaru said making Ran look away, an expression of sadness and anger on her face.

"You are never alone Ran. Just because people treated you like shit doesn't mean everyone will do that. Eri and Kogoro may be busy in their arguments, but they do care about you. And you do have a bunch of great friends, add to them those three aliens, especially Kaiden who is doing a great job in teaching you.", Hikaru stated before he started glowing more.

"My time is up. I came here to help you, and now I'll leave.", He said.

Ran immediately looked back at him and asked quickly, "Will I ever see you again?".

"Only in dreams. After all, I only exist in your heart and memories. Remember, a person doesn't truly die when his physical body dies, but he dies when his loved ones forget him. So never forget me, and I'll always be around.", Hikaru said as he and Ran shared one last hug, the latter crying again, "See you on the other side, kiddo.".

"See you, Hikaru-Ojisan….".

Ran closed her eyes just everything faded to bright white, breaking her illusion.

The prison around Ran disappeared as she let out a heavy breath before she rushed towards Shinichi, crying at the top of her lungs.

"Can you hear me?! Look whatever you're seeing is fake and not real! It's just our nightmares! I'm here and okay! Come back!".

Even though his screams of pain from being burned prevented him from hearing anything, Shinichi managed to hear Ran's voice get through.

"R-Ran?", He grunted hopefully as he struggled to free himself, the fire coiling around him to keep him from moving.

"This is the robot's ability, torturing us with our worst nightmares and fears, and making us experience them, and experience the pain. It's all in our head!", He heard Ran's voice again.

Shinichi managed to smile, thankful that he wasn't imagining Ran's voice, and now he started to remember that this was just an illusion, done by the robot monster they were facing, and what he was seeing and experiencing was fake.

"There is only one truth… and nothing about this place is the truth.", Shinichi said calmly, just as everything disappeared in bright white light.

The prison disappeared from around Shinichi, and he found himself unable to stand properly, so Ran helped him stand.

"Arigatou…", Shinichi panted, "This was…. I don't want to even think about it…".

"I know… I've seen my version of it..", Ran nodded sadly.

"How did you-".

"Hikaru saved me.". Ran's answer made Shinichi look at her in surprise before he placed his hand on her shoulder and squeezed it, a sign of support. He and Ran then looked at their teammates, to see who to help.

Masumi, Saguru, and Makoto seemed to be resisting, but Heiji and Kaito were having the hardest times.

"Hakuba, Kyogoku, and Masumi seem to be breaking free, I'll help Hattori, you help Kuroba.", Shinichi deduced and Ran nodded at his words before each of them ran towards their friends.

"I know this is fake…. And I'm not gonna die here… YOU HEAR ME?!", Masumi cried angrily as she tried to kick and punch everyone off her before she found two people glowing white charging towards the group and pushing them off her.

As soon as they touched them, the illusions disappeared, and Masumi found herself standing inside a normal-looking house and looked at the two people who helped her.

"Arigatou… Whoever you are.", Masumi said confused.

"And here I thought you would've recognized us.", The man chuckled.

"Mary didn't tell you about us, shame on her.", The woman chuckled before she and the man turned around to face Masumi, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

"Hey Masumi, I-", Miyano Elena didn't get to finish the sentence because she and Atsushi were tackled by a hug from a tearful Masumi.

"I've always wanted to meet you both you know… from how much Mama has told me about you.", she said as the adults returned the hug.

"We were watching over everyone in our family, so we aren't exactly away.", Atsushi explained as they broke the group hug.

"Don't ask us how, science can't explain everything, especially the afterlife stuff.", Elena pointed out, "But we saw you in jeopardy, and decided to back you up.".

"Makes me wonder if Mama and Shiho can see you too.", Masumi wondered curiously.

"Only during dreaming. But they've been rejecting the idea itself, Mary out of guilt, and Shiho because she thinks she doesn't deserve to see us.", Atsushi said sadly.

"I have so much to ask! Did Mama smile a lot or was she always grumpy? The same with Shuu-nii! How did she and Papa meet? How-", Masumi was interrupted by Atsushi sweat dropping while Elena was laughing hard.

"W-What?", She asked confused.

"I'm sorry! But I've made a bet with Mary that the first thing you'll ask me is if you have ever smiled a lot or are always grumpy! Looks like I won!", Elena chuckled as she tried to stop her laughing.

"She never stopped seeking to avenge you, both of you nor thinking about you.", Masumi said sadly before she looked away guilty, "I'm sorry we couldn't save Akemi.".

"And that is exactly the second thing we came to tell you about before we leave, Akemi is alive.", Atsushi said seriously making Masumi look at him in disbelief.

"No way.", was all that she could say.

"Masumi, sweetie, we are from the afterlife, I'm pretty sure if Akemi was dead, she would've been here with us, and we would've seen her there.", Elena deadpanned making Masumi feel dumb.

"Oh yeah… Good point.", She rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment.

"She was rescued by Furuya Rei, he was a kid who loved to hang around me before I died, and she was with FAUSD in a coma but she has recently woken up, and is in recovery.", Elena explained before she smiled warmly, "Our time is up now, it was wonderful meeting you finally Masumi.".

"Wait! What about Papa?", Masumi asked, wanting to know what happened to her father.

"Tsutomu? Like anything can kill that guy! He is still alive, don't worry!", Atsushi scoffed and Masumi felt relief, yet some anger and sadness deep down, knowing her father was 100% alive, but he was out there away from his family.

Masumi then group hugged the two as she said, "I'm so glad I got to talk to you guys, even if just for minutes.".

"Us too Masumi, us too.", Elena said warmly just as everything faded into bright white light, breaking the illusion.

Makoto felt the weight of his father move off him before everything around him changed to a normal peaceful sleep.

Makoto turned around just as a hand was raised in front of him.

"Need a hand?", the real Kyogoku Hideoyashi smiled, his body glowing bright white.

"Tousan!", Makoto cried happily in disbelief as he took his father's hand, Hideoyashi helped his son up and Makoto took the chance to hug him tightly.

"Woah! You've gotten strong!", Hideoyashi chuckled as he returned Makoto's hug.

"I've been doing my best to become stronger to protect Kaasan and Hina.", Makoto answered as he and Hideoyashi broke the hug.

"I'm pretty sure anyone who tries to hurt them is the one who needs protection, not them!", Hideoyashi chuckled.

"I see that you've been watching us.", Makoto noticed from Hideoyashi's words.

"Of course, I've watched every step my loved ones have been making.", He nodded before he wiggled his eyebrows teasingly at Makoto, "Nice girlfriend by the way, apparently you aren't as awful as talking to girls as you say!".

"T-Tousan! I-It just happened!", Makoto cried embarrassed making Hideoyashi laugh loud.

"Of course, it did, I mean, who would expect a rich heiress to fall for a traveling warrior? Opposites attract.", Hideoyashi shrugged before he started glowing brighter.

"I guess your time is up.", Makoto said with a sad smile.

"I came to help you, and now I'm done. I'll continue visiting you in your dreams, though.", Hideoyashi replied with the same smile, "See you soon, Mako.", he said as he and Makoto shared one last hug before the world faded into bright white light.

"Barou!".

Heiji's eyes snapped open once he heard Shinichi's voice echo.

"None of this is real, hear me?! Snap out of it! Come on bro! Snap out of it!".

A quick flashback happened in Heiji's mind, remembering immediately that he was facing a robot monster with Saguru, before being hit by a beam, and after that beam, he experienced this.

"Ahhh shit… I can't believe I was convinced dat all of dat was real…", Heiji sighed heavily as the world around him faded in bright white light.

Kaito tried to free himself from the shackles of the cage as he felt himself lose all air, struggling to hold his breath any longer underwater, and the sharks swimming around his cage weren't helping him remain calm.

'Nononono! I can't die here! I can't die like this!', He thought in fear and nervousness.

"Oi!". He heard a voice echo underwater.

'Ran?', He thought confused as he stopped struggling.

"This isn't real! This is what the robot's doing! Everyone is okay! But they won't if we don't fight that robot! Break free from this! Come on!".

Ran's voice and words were more than enough to remind Kaito of what happened before he found himself in this hellhole, he was in a battle with a robot monster, but none of this was real. They were all just illusions.

The world around Kaito started to fade away as he calmly thought, 'Thank God this isn't real…'.

Saguru suddenly found a hand appearing from behind him, pushing Serena off him, and another hand placed on his shoulder. Everything around him with Serena disappeared, with the surroundings looking like a peaceful forest.

"And I thought I was ugly during pregnancy…". Saguru quickly turned around, and he met the real Serena's gentle smile, her body glowing white.

"Mum…", Saguru spoke in English as he immediately hugged her tightly.

"Hi Sweetheart.", She responded warmly as she returned the hug.

"I've missed you, life was never the same without you.", He said as he broke the hug, trying to smile at her.

"The future hasn't been kind to you.", She mumbled.

"I had to depend on myself more after Dad neglected me, because of his depression of losing you, and I ended up having an arrogant cold persona, that pushed everyone from me.", Saguru said sadly, "Yeah, the future hasn't been kind to little Saguru.".

"That depends on how you see it.", She said making Saguru look at her confused.

"You make it sound like you are all miserable and alone, but you have Watson and Kashiko, and now you have these amazing friends, and there is that cute Magi girl that likes you.", Serena gave her son a teasing smile at the last sentence making him look away in embarrassment.

"What makes you think she likes me?", Saguru asked.

"Maybe the fact that she wanted to prove to you, that she is not a bad person?", Serena pointed out and laughed once Saguru gave her a blank face, having not thought that what Akako did and her insistence on proving herself to him was a sign that she likes him.

"Oh….", was all Saguru could say.

"As for what happened with Mamoru, he is not a bad person, and someday, he'll realize his mistake and be a proper father again.", Serena promised, "Until then, you have your friends, Kashiko, and Akako around you.".

Saguru smiled warmly as he hugged his mother again, once he saw her glowing more brightly.

"It was wonderful seeing you again, Mum.", He mumbled.

"Likewise, Saguru, likewise.", Serena replied warmly as the world around them started fading in bright white light.

"YES YES!", Fearwheels cheered once he found Saguru limp in his hand before he dropped him on the ground.

"I DID IT I-", Fearwheels was interrupted by something impaling his chest. He looked down to see a wood spike extending from Saguru's hand, who was pretending to be dead, and impaling him right in the red core.

"I don't think so.", Saguru replied smugly in English. Just as Fearwheels exploded from having his core destroyed, the Rangers ran towards Saguru who stood up.

"You guys okay?", He asked.

"Considering the illusions he showed us, I wanna burn him slowly to death.", Shinichi snarled.

"Yeah…. They were too real, one forgot dat he was fightin' here.", Heiji shook his head before he asked Shinichi, "How did ya free yourself?".

"Ran helped me.", Shinichi answered.

"I was saved by a close family member.", Ran chose not to say who he was, making the others who didn't know who she meant a bit suspicious and confused.

"I met Tousan too.", Makoto smiled, making Kaito frown under his helmet.

'If this illusion enabled Makoto and Ran to meet their dead relatives, why didn't Oyaji appear to me?', He wondered before he shook his head, 'Maybe it's nothing… I mean, their grandparents didn't appear nor did mine to confirm that. Maybe they had issues with them and resolved it, or a wish to see them again. Maybe.'.

"I met Kaasan.", Saguru said making everyone look at him in surprise, especially Kaito, because no one knew that Saguru's mother was dead.

"Hakuba, your mother…", Kaito trailed off.

"Was killed by a Magi maniac when I was 12.", Saguru explained, "I don't talk about it much, so no one knows, but Akako, apparently their version of the newspaper showed the list of victims he had, and my mother's name was written in it.".

"Well, I'm sure she'd be proud ta know her son's become a badass Ranger, destroyin' a robot monster alone!", Heiji complimented as he hit Saguru in the shoulder playfully, making the other smile as he nodded.

"Yes, she is.".

"Anyone noticed… that the robot monster hadn't grown into a Megazord size yet?", Kaito asked.

"Huh, you're actually correct.", Shinichi noticed before he looked at the robot pieces and noticed that the core was destroyed, not a single part was left of it even among the pieces.

"I guess it has to do with how Hakuba obliterated the red core completely, maybe pieces of that core were what made them grow into mega mode.", Shinichi deduced.

"Guys,", Masumi started, bringing the attention to her, "I met Elena-Obasan and Atsushi-Ojisan,they were the ones who had saved me from the illusion…. and they told me that… Akemi is still alive.".

Masumi was looking at Shinichi and Ran, waiting for their reactions. The two remained silent as if processing the information, and once they realized what Masumi had said, they both cried at the top of their lungs.

"NANI?!".

Akemi sneezed before she looked towards Rei who was standing next to her bed.

"Why can't I go meet Shiho now?", Akemi insisted as she ate the food in the tray across her on the hospital bed.

"I need to call someone first to have you meet her, then we can discuss and see where your sister is.", Rei explained, "Besides, you're still recovering.".

Akemi decided to remain silent, knowing Furuya wouldn't answer more than that.

Once Rei left her room, she mumbled, "He is very cold towards me.".

"He is worried about you.", Araide corrected as he sat on a chair near her bed.

"His attitude says something else.", Akemi disagreed before she smiled at Araide, "At least you are nice to me.".

Araide slightly blushed as he rubbed the back of his head, "Uhhh… Thanks?".

"What were you all thinking?", Kaiden said calmly, but anger was evident in his tone.

The Rangers stood across Kaiden looking guilty at their feet, like children being scolded by their parents. Akira and Static are away at the side, not liking to be in the face of an angry Kaiden.

"Saguru and Heiji, you had issues with each other, deal with it before battle…. And the rest of you, you all were very cocky that you got reckless! And almost died from the illusions!", Kaiden nearly cried, making the Rangers wince.

They had returned to the ship's control room and told their mentors everything in detail about their visions, and now Kaiden was pissed off.

"How many times have I told you not to be cocky? Not to rush into battle?", Kaiden continued scolding.

"It wasn't that awful…", Kaito mumbled but he winced once Kaiden eyed him.

"That was evident from all of your screams of pain that echoed in the street, and from how you all were nearly limping from pain, not to mention the haunted look I could see in your eyes.", Kaiden pointed out, "I was going down there if I hadn't noticed that Ran freed herself and there was hope!".

Akira knelt to Static once he felt them tugging on his pants. "He is affected because of his memory recalling yesterday, right?", Static asked.

"Absolutely.", Akira nodded.

"You all need to focus! You have loved ones that could die if anything happened to you… And I'm not ready to bury my children again!".

The last sentence made everyone in the room look with wide eyes at the Edenian, who just sighed heavily, and left the room silently.

The Rangers shared a look and thought simultaneously of one thing.

'We messed up…'.
