"So you're telling us the meatball head is your daughter?" The man with sunglasses said, pointing at her.

She glared at him. "Hey!"

"I believe we haven't introduced ourselves. I'm Liu Kang and this is Johnny Cage." The boy said with a kind smile.

"I'm Sonya. Sonya Blade."

"With pleasure, Sonya Blade." Johnny said with a smirk, which annoyed Sonya.

"I'm Princess Serenity, but you can call me Serena instead." Serena said smiling.

"Nice to meet you." Liu Kang said, smiling.

Suddenly, when she saw the way Liu Kang was smiling at her, Serena had never seen a guy so handsome before.

Her face began to blush, wasn't sure how long she had been staring at him.

Liu Kang noticed her expression.

"Hey, is everything okay, Serena? You act like you're under a spell."

"Huh? Oh...uh...Nothing!" replied Serena shaking her head to get the Love Hearts out of her mind.

"I think she's in love," Johnny teased, smirking.

"Shut up! I'm not in love! We just met, stupid!" Serena shouted at him as her face went red.

"So, Raiden, what is the tournament you've been trying to say here?" Sonya asked, facing the God of Thunder.

He sighed as he began,

"What you were about to face is vastly more important than your ego." said Raiden

"Your enemy or your quest for revenge, You have embarked on a sacred mission. You have been chosen to defend the realm of Earth in a tournament called Mortal Kombat."

"Mortal Kombat?" Serena said confused.

"Oh, So that's what Shang Tsung meant by we have been selected."

"Your world is not one of many realms. One of them is a forsaken world called the Outworld ruled by any mortal was crowned himself Emperor. Now he seeks a new world to conquer and enslave."

"Now wait a second. If this guy is so powerful, then why does he just invade us?" Johnny asked.

"To win to the realm of Earth. The Emperor, his demon sorcerer Shang Tsung and its warriors after winning ten straight victories in Mortal Kombat. They have won nine. This will be the tenth tournament."

"A handful of people on the leaky boat are gonna save the world," Sonya said, grinning.

"Exactly," Raiden said, pointed it out. "The essence of Mortal Kombat is not about death but life. Mortal men and women defending your own world."

"Why are you telling us this, Father?" Serena asked.

"What about the others?" Sonya asked.

"They're all great fighters, but I had looked into their souls and yours. One of you four will decide the outcome of the tournament. The fate of a billion will depend upon you." Then he let out a laugh.
