Chapter 14: The Hunters Arrival

Percy's POV

As Reyna and I were sitting at the little tiber discussing the senate meeting she asked me " So now i know about Annabeth are there any other girls from your past I should know about" I laughed and responded "no there was only really two girls on my life Annabeth and my cousin Thalia. Thalia and I never had romantic feeling though we are more like siblings." I added quickly seeing her glare that dissapated after i added that on. "What happened to her? Why isn't she here?" Reyna asked. I nodded saying she is a Hunter of Artemis so she couldn't really go on her own away from them." As i finished my sentence Iheard the sound of a hunting horn. I jumped up and grabbed Reyna's arm and said "now you get to meet her.

Thalia's POV

We were making our way to the Roman camp and Artemis mind messaged me and said "there will be a pleasnt surprise for you when you get there" I was confused i had no idea what she was hinting at. Once we were nearing the entrance to the camp we blew our hunting horns signalling our arrival to the demigods that resided here. After they crossed the little tiber she saw a male figure running towards them with a girl slightly behind him. After looking at the male as he made his way towards usmi recognised him as Percy my favorite cousing practically my brother in everything but blood. I ordered the huntresses to lower their bows and they did so grudgingly. As soon as Percy reached me we hugged for a minute before i shocked him seneding him back a few feet. He raised his hands in surrender saying i deserve that but it was Juno/Hera's doing I had no say in what happened, i nodded and we hugged again. I looked at the girl beside him she had on matching clothes to Percy and purple toga and armor on under. There were multiple medals on her armor. She had blackhair and pericing black eyes. She stood by Percy as if either waiting for an attack or to stophim from running away. I thought for a moment and realized that she liked him, I looked at Percy with wide eyes and beckoned him forward and I whispered in his ear " you realize she likes you right?" he cracked up at this and responded saying "yeah we are dating" i took a step back in shock and said "what about Annabeth?" his face darkened at the mention of her name and said "that whole thing ended before i got abducted. If you want to see why ask Lady Vesta and she will show you." I nodded at this before i became confused and asked why do you refer to her with her roman name? He answered saying i'm a roman now. During my quest Neptune came to me and told me that if i wanted he could turn me into a child of him rather than Posidean. I immediately picked yes as i didn't want to return to camp half blood and her. I also couldn't as I have responsibilitioes here now as they made me their Praetor." I was shocked to say the least, each thing he said made my jaw drop further. He laughed at my reaction. After a minute I looked to the girl beside him and asked "whats your name she answered saying my name is Reyna co-praetor of the twelfth legion" she answered as we shook hands. As we were talking the greek demigods from the prophecy came over and when Percy saw them he visibly cringed but then i saw his eyes ere not on them as a whole but just Annabeth and his glare was scary even if it wasn't pointed at me. He turned back to me his face a mask even his eyes weren't giving anything away Reyna noticed the change in Percy's demanor and whispered something i could't hear and he nodded before hugging me and saying "we can catch up more later" i hugged back before responding "we better or your in for a world of hurt." He chuckled before him and Reyna walked off.

Jason walked up to me seeming angry and said "why were you hugging him" I glared at him before responding in an icy tone "because he is one of my best friends who i have been searching for for months. He is like a brother to me." "what would Artemis say if she saw you hugging a male" Jason said while smiling smugly thinking he made a good point. I laughed before saying "she would be fine with it. She repscts Percy and trusts that he won't do anything to hurt me. She was the one who told the Hunters to come here, why do you think that is?" she said before walking away in anger.

Jason's POV

Jason was stunned at what his sister said that the goddess of the moon and hunt that led a group of man haters actually trusted and respected Percy. I was also scared that she saw him as more of a brother than me. I decided to ask Annabeth saying "why does she trust him so much?" she chuckled which unnerved me a bit before saying "because they have gone on quests together seen eachother at their weakest they've been in many battles and a war together,and neither of them would hesitate to sacrifice their life for the other. They have been through almost everything two people could go through together as siblings. Nico Di Angelo was also like a little brother to both of them." I nodded to this explanation still in thought. I remembered hearing about Nico he was a child of Hades. I also remembered hearing of Percy, they acted as if he was one of the olympians I mean sure he did kill Kronos and Hyperion, he battled Atlas held the sky he did bathe in the styx and yeah he recently killed Polybotes alomost completly by himself. As i was thinking about all his acheivemnts I relized why everyone loved him and thought he was so powerful. It had taken him less than a month at Camp Jupiter to become Praetor. To say i was shocked was an understatement. Thats when i relaized i probably wouldn't get to come back to my role of Praetor if Percy still wanted it. After thinking i had anothe question "hey guys, why is Percy avoiding us? Because just now as soon as he saw us him and Reyna left." Annabeth looked at the gound and shuffled her feet before answering "he isn't avoiding us, he is avoiding me. He doesn't want to see me probably because he does not want to have to remember what i did to him thats why he chose to become a full Roman." Annabeths answer made sense. Piper went to comfort her saying "he might still love you" at this she let out a humorless laugh saying "him and Reyna are obviously dating, and by the way he avoids me you would think i had a plague." After Annabeths said that there was a bit of an awkward silence between us until a conch horn sounded signalling dinner. "Come on guys lets have a true Roman dinner" I said.

Percy's POV

Dinner Time

Me, Reyna, and the Centuirons were sitting at the head table talking and waiting for the greek demigods to join us as we were talking Leila brought up a good point about how we have 3 praetors and need to get rid of one. I looked at Frank seeing his mind already at work before he looked at me and nodded i said "Centuruion Zhang do you have an idea to solve this problem?" He nodded before saying "Yes, since neother Percy or Jason was elected but instead raised on the shields of the legionnaires i would say that a duel would be the best solution to this seeing as both were selected because of their ability in battle" I nodded because this was a smart solution but also one i was confident i could win. I looked at the centuins before asking "is everyone ok with this idea" they all nodded. "When Jason gets here we can discuss it with him" i say"

Sorry this took me so long to get out, i have been very lazy when it comes to writing this. I will work on the next chapter and get it published hopefully a lot quicker than i did with this one. I have been reading a lot of stories and I was wondering if anyone knew a good Perzoe one. If so please tell me about it. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed it.
