"Ghosts aren't real," the Doctor insisted.

"You said the same thing about zombies," Donna reminded him.

"And I was right then too; I don't know what those things were, but they weren't zombies, and that isn't a ghost. There's no such thing as disembodied spirits. Without a body there's nothing to hold a spirit together, never mind keep it in one place. It would just…" He waved his hands vaguely. "Dissipate."

"That's not dissipating!"

"Precisely! It's not a ghost, it's a projection, a hologram…"

"Or a ghost."

It was getting closer.

"It's not a ghost!"

"Try telling the ghost that!"
