In a hallway, a young woman of Latin descent dressed in a purple and white striped shirt, black jeans, boots, and grey trench coat is seen sitting on a chair infront of the principal's office looking down at her bandaged knuckles. In the office three people can be heard speaking then the door out steps a balding man of European decent with blue eyes, dressed in the dark blue shirt and pants, along with the black, armored vest of law enforcement says in a gruff voice, "get up and get in here." The young woman does as told and she goes to enter the office.
When she enters the office, she sees a man of African descent with greying hair and dark eyes in a pale green shirt and pale blue tie sitting behind a desk with a nameplate reading, "Principle Hall". Next to him is a woman who also appears to be of Latin descent with brown eyes and hair wearing light blue scrubs, a brown purse, blue-grey slip-ons, and glasses with her hair done up in a bun and covering her eyes trying not to cry but failing.
The principal then speaks with venom and satisfaction in his voice, "Lucia Noceda, you have attended Gravesfield High School for two years and you have either stolen from, robbed, assaulted, or almost killed several students and staff. I wish I could have done this sooner after the third case of assault crossed my desk, but since the victim so conveniently couldn't describe who assaulted and robbed them, along with there being no witnesses nothing could be done. Until now one of your victims finally spoke up and with that, all of your victims came forth and now I have more than enough evidence to say, Lucia Noceda you are hereby expelled from this school."
Shortly after that the officer approached Lucia and pulls out a set of zip ties and said with a satisfied tone, "Lucia Noceda, you are hereby placed under arrest for multiple accounts of coherson, assault, robbery, and attempted murder. You have the right to remain silent anything you say will be used against you in a court of law." With that said before the officer could finalize the arrest Lucia jumped to the right then shoulder checked the officer and ran to the door and out of the school.
Lucia then ran into the woods and used every trick she could think of and knew to lose the police since there would more than likely be tracking dogs with them. Lucia would double back, scale trees, and leap from tree to tree for a while before dropping back to the ground and other for complicated maneuvers to trick and confuse the police until she found an abandoned cabin. When she saw it, she circled around it for a bit and weaved between the trees before then climbing to the roof and entering through the larger hole in the roof. Lucia looking around found the attic found a spot next to what may have been a dresser and curled into a ball and began to silently cry and whispered the truth of what happened. How she was actually saving students from others who were attacking them, stopping muggings, the near rapes by upperclassmen, as well as the staff who were selling grades for "favors". Lucia remained there before eventually falling asleep.
Unknown to Lucia she wasn't alone for right outside the hole that led to the attic a figure in a white, feathery, long-sleeve, backless dress with a pouch on the left hip, wings that were mottled with white and black, with pale almost snow-white skin, a long, white, wild, mane-like hair and dark, long and sharp claws. The figure hearing everything Lucia said smiles and reaches into her pouch and pulls out two short incense sticks that are three inches that appear to be a mix of clay, ash, and wood. The figure conjures a flame and lighting the incense begins to chant and makes several hand gestures for the duration of the burning incense. Upon the sunsetting, the incense sticks finish burning as does the chanting and hand gestures. The figure now sporting a toothy smile and the weather makes sudden changes it begins to: rain heavily, it becomes very cold and the wind becomes a gale. The figure then takes flight.
Lucia awakens from the sound of a thunder. Lucia looking to the hole sees that it's raining with strong wind and feels the cold air that's blowing in from the hole. Feeling the cold, she tries to use her coat as a blanket to keep warm; it semi-works but only after tucking in her legs under her coat.
The figure flying over the nearby town and seeing that everyone is trying to either get into their vehicles or inside a building, just smiles and returns to the cabin before saying in a pleased tone, "Now to get the potential guiding light." Upon returning the figure is unexpectedly hit by a gust of wind and losing control crashes through the hole in the roof and falls unconscious.
Lucia now shivering from the cold despite the use of her coat closes her eyes but then hears a crash. Looking around she sees a figure in white lying infront of the hole. Lucia not wanting the figure to get sick gets up and drags to figure to what may have been a bed and lays them beside it. She then looks the figure over and sees that they have what she can only assume are breasts and a very lithe, sexy form. Lucia seeing this also blushes and then looks away as the figure also appears to have no attire on.
Lucia checks over the woman and finds that she does in-fact have clothes they're just very close to the woman's skin color and that she has wings. Lucia upon finding the wings found that their very warm and followed them to the woman's back. Lucia wanting to know if they're real follows the wings to just under the woman's shoulders and parting the feathers finds that they are part of the woman. Upon discovering this and with everything that has happened faints into unconsciousness.
When Lucia awakens, she finds that she's lying on the floor next to what could have been a bed. Looking around Lucia found that she was still in the attic of the cabin and that it was still raining, but not as hard as before. Not knowing the time Lucia pulls out her phone to find that it's dead letting out a muffled groan Lucia approaches the hole to see the police. Quickly ducking down Lucia sees several officers and dogs.
The officers appear to be looking around the cabin for any clues that could lead to her. Lucia not wanting to deal with the broken Gravesfield justice system goes to the bed and sitting on the floor, lays her back against one of its legs and closes her eyes. As the officers look Lucia thinks back on her life from her pre-school: where she found her love of writing, elementary: where she found her talent for researching the obscure and occult, middle-school: where she found her skill in physical activities, now high school: where she found that she's a protector for others yet she's seen as the villain.
Reopening her eyes Lucia hears the door open and quickly hides under the bed. Entering the room Lucia sees two sets of boots and pants that the local police are known to wear and heard the officers speak as they searched the room.
"So, this Lucia kid is she really that terrible." asks the first officer sounding feminine.
"Ya, she's assaulted several of the high school staff who are allegedly getting better grades because they are doing favors for their teachers." Replies the second officer also feminine.
"Aren't those teachers being investigated." Asks the first officer.
"They were but with the interference of this brat they'll be on alert and it will be harder to build a case for a conviction." Replies the second officer.
"(sigh) What a mess; this girl wants to do the right thing but has gone about it the wrong way. Disappointing how we'll most likely have to throw 'er in juvey till we can get things back in order." Says the first officer.
"Ya, but if she had just cooperated with Johnson then she wouldn't have caused herself to look so guilty. Alright, I'm done checking my area." Says the second officer.
"Same, we'll have to post a notice on the community board. (ugh) This is such a mess." Says the first officer.
"Ya, let's go. I don't see why she'd even be here. This cabin has been abandoned for years if the rot is anything to go by." Replies the second officer.
Lucia watches them as they leave. Having heard everything they said Lucia keeps herself under control and going to the hole watches them leave. After confirming that they left Lucia exits and sits on the roof with it still raining. A couple minutes pass then Lucia hears tapping. As the tapping got closer she culled up tighter before she then felt a hand on her shoulder and a mature, feminine voice asked in an understanding tone, "So do you want to turn yourself in or do you want to do something for others."
Lucia hearing the voice looks to who was speaking and sees the woman or creature from before. Lucia then looks to the roof and asks, "Will it matter, I'm a wanted criminal because I unknowingly disrupted an investigation."
The figure placing a finger under Lucia's chin replies, "Do you think I care about some disrupted investigation with law enforcement who seemly aren't in on the corrupt dealings behind the scenes of stuff."
Lucia looks into the figure's eyes and sees only honesty and someone who has made far more mistakes than she ever would but still holds themselves up with pride and learned from their mistakes. Seeing that Lucia replies, "(softly) No, and (firm and confident) I want to do something to help others."
The figure gives a smile and says, "Alright get on the porch and I'll show you how you can help others." The figure then walks to the edge and drops from it.
Lucia going to the edge sees the figure standing there just fine. Lucia knowing that jumping from a roof while it's raining would get herself hurt goes through the cabin. Exiting the cabin onto the porch she sees the figure standing next to the door with their arms crossed.
The figure after Lucia exits the cabin and is on the porch asks, "So wants your name."
Lucia knowing where this line of questioning was going replies, "Lucia Noceda, and you."
The figure closes the door then pulls out an old-style key from the eighteen hundreds with an eye and inserts it into the lock before replying, "Just call me Eda…" With that, she turns the key to the right and back it's when she pulls out the key that the door to the cabin swings open to reveal a swirling gate of whites and blues. Eda then says, "…last chance to back out 'cause this will be a one-way trip for you, Lucia."
Lucia looks back to Gravesfield and then to the gate and says, "Honestly, there's nothing truly keeping me here so (smiles with excitement) on to a brave new world."
Before Lucia could jump into the gate Eda handed her a coat and said, "I believe this is yours and you'll want to put it on it's gonna be rather cold when you pass through."
Lucia seeing that it was her coat puts it on and says just as excited, "Thanks for my coat." With that Lucia passes through the gate followed by Eda.
It's only when Eda enters the gate does it closes and shows only an empty, abandoned cabin in the middle of the forest.
When Lucia entered the gate she felt herself falling through a whirling void of white and blue. As Lucia fell through the void she felt as if something about herself was changing but for the better then she felt herself go flying, hit something solid, and land on a harder surface before she blacked out; but not before hearing something or someone asked in a feminine voice with a cautious tone, "will they be alright."
