Chapter 4: Reunited

Rachel woke up the next morning, finding Vampiro still sleeping beside her and she stretched a little, feeling better than she usually did after having a nightmare. No doubt the cold water, warm berry tea, and the Vladat's hypnosis had something to do with that. As she shifted a little, she felt fingers wiggle into her left underarm since she was resting on her right side. Letting out a squeak and giggling, she turned to face the one that was tickling her and saw Whampire smiling at her. "Good morning," he said with a chuckle, letting her up.

"Good morning, Whampire," she said, sitting up and yawning. Vampiro woke up and sat up as well, stretching before looking at his youngest son with a knowing smirk.

"Am I right to assume you woke her up?" He asked playfully.

"She was already awake, Father," Whampire said with a grin. "I just made sure she didn't fall back asleep. After all, isn't today a special day?"

Rachel gave him a curious look while Vampiro caught on. "Ah, yes," he said. "It is."

The girl looked back and forth between them. "What's so special about today?" She asked curiously.

"You'll see," the regal Vladat said with a smile. "We best get up for the day. By the way, how are you feeling?"

"Much better, thank you," she said before hugging him. He returned the hug gently before smiling again as the girl hugged Whampire, who also smiled.

Vamps came in. "I hope I can get a hug too," he said.

Rachel giggled and nodded, hugging him and he returned the hug. "Apollo checked in. Everything's going smoothly so far," he said.

"Good," Whampire said before winking at his brother and pointing to Rachel, making a motion of zipping his mouth shut. Catching on, the older Vladat nodded, seeing that they hadn't yet told her that they had found Sasha.

Phantasmo came in and he smiled. "I was wondering where Rachel was," he said with a smile. "Did you sleep well last night, young one?"

"Yes, thanks to these three," she said, smiling at the Vladats.

The Ectonurite cocked his head in question before it hit him. "A nightmare?" He asked gently.

She nodded and he hugged her. "Don't worry. We'll keep those nightmares away from you," he promised.

She smiled gratefully before they heard chuckling and turned to find Zeus and Alien X behind them. "Good morning," the muscular Celestialsapien said cheerfully.

"We should get ready," Alien X said. "I'll whip us up some breakfast."

Rachel then remembered something. "Vamps, you said Apollo checked in and all was going smoothly. What did you mean by that?" She asked.

"Apollo is on a mission at the moment," the black-masked Vladat replied. "He should be back in a moment or two." He saw that she looked worried and smiled. "Don't worry, all is well," he reassured her.

She looked suspicious, but didn't get a chance to say more as Zeus and Phantasmo began tickling her, making her laugh and squirm to get away, but wasn't successful as the Vladats chuckled in amusement at the funny scene.

Meanwhile, at the homeless shelter...

Ghostfreak invisibly looked around before nodding. "Clear," he said to Apollo. "Good luck."

"Thanks," he said, going in. He saw the shelter was empty at the moment, save for some of the staff sitting down and filling out paperwork in their offices. He then saw Sasha head out of one of the offices and heard her sigh.

"Well, guess I better get everything cleaned up and ready for tonight," she said. "Though I really wish I could get away from here. Granted, it's kept me safe and such, but...it'd be nice to find a real home."

"I think that can be arranged," Apollo said.

Hearing that unfamiliar voice, Sasha turned in shock before her eyes widened at seeing a strange being nearby whose body was black and white like a moonless sky with white hands and two gold bands on his arms as his green eyes gazed at her. Her throat frozen in fear, she turned to run, but the alien was in front of her just as fast and he snapped his fingers. Energy cuffs formed around the brown-haired girl's wrists and ankles, trapping her while he placed a hand over her mouth to muffle the scream that she released a moment after he had covered her mouth.

"Shh, don't scream," he said to her, hugging her with one arm as she struggled to break free of the cuffs and to get away from him. "I won't hurt you, Sasha."

She looked terrified and he snapped his fingers, which made a cloth gag come over her mouth. "We need to get out of here," he said urgently to her, holding her despite her struggles.

Ghostfreak came flying in. "Apollo, he's here!" He said in an urgent whisper. "He's right outside!"

Apollo made a decision. "Sasha, listen closely," he said. "Your birth father is right outside and he's going to kidnap you."

Her eyes widened in fear at that and she gazed at him, noting that his face softened at seeing her fear and he gently rubbed the back of his fingers over the left side of her face. "I know you're scared and you don't know us, but Ghostfreak and I can make sure that that monster won't get you ever again. We'll keep you safe."

She looked at them before glancing at the door where a loud knocking was happening. Shivering, Sasha leaned herself closer to Apollo, who tightened his hold on her. "Sasha, can you trust us to get you away from here?" He asked gently.

Looking at him, she sighed and nodded. Ghostfreak gently brushed some of her brown hair away from her face. "We won't hurt you," he promised her.

Apollo closed his eyes and opened them a moment later. "Father's ready to beam us back," he said. "Gather close."

Moments later, they were aboard the ship and Zeus came up to them, smiling gently as he saw Sasha look around fearfully. "Shh, don't be afraid, Sasha," he soothed, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You're safe here."

She didn't look too sure, but tugged at the cuffs again. Apollo placed a hand over her bound wrists and she looked at him. "I'll remove the cuffs and the gag if you promise not to run or scream," he said.

She nodded and he snapped his fingers, the cuffs and gag vanishing and Sasha took a deep breath, not moving for a moment as she felt a little dizzy. "Who...Who are you?" She asked. "And how did you know my birth father was after me?"

Zeus gently took her hand and guided her to a chair. "Why don't you sit down for a moment?" He suggested kindly. "Son, can you get her some tea? Ghostfreak, inform the others?"

"Yes, Father," Apollo said.

"Will do," said the ghost, vanishing.

Sasha looked at the one beside her and he smiled gently. "Sasha, my name is Zeus," he said. "I'm a Celestialsapien, as is my son."

"A Celestialsapien?" She asked before her eyes widened. "Does that mean you're an alien?"

He chuckled, seeing she caught on fast. "Yes, I am," he said. "But I nor the others will hurt you." He saw her eyes and smiled. "You and your sister both have your mother's eyes."

The brown-haired girl blinked at him. "What...What do you mean?" She asked.

Zeus smiled. "Your mother was a good friend of mine," he said. "Holly told us all about you girls and asked us to take care of you if we found you because your birth father was after you both."

She looked at him. "What was Mom's favorite color?" She asked. "And her favorite perfume?"

He chuckled. "Golden amber and vanilla rose," he replied.

Sasha relaxed upon hearing that. "She did say that only her friends would be able to answer that," she said.

He nodded. "I'm sorry to hear of her passing, my dear," he said.

The girl looked at him and hugged him, tears running down her face as she clung to him. He held her comfortingly, rubbing her back soothingly as he knew this was hard on her. Apollo came in with the tea and handed it to the girl, who took it gratefully, slowly feeling better from both the hug and as she sipped the soothing tea.

After a moment, she sniffled and looked up at them before remembering something. "Wait, you said me and my sister. Do you know Rachel?" She asked the Celestialsapien that held her.

Zeus smiled again. "Yes. In fact, she's here on this ship," he said. "Do you want to go see her? I believe there's a reunion with both your names on it and it's long overdue."

"I agree," said Apollo.

Sasha nodded eagerly and he scooped her up, carrying her down the hallway and stopping at a door, knocking on it.

Rachel was watching Vamps, Ghostfreak, Alien X, and Whampire demonstrate their strength and giggling at them while Vampiro and Phantasmo chuckled before hearing a knock at the door. Everyone turned to look as they saw Zeus walk in with a girl in his arms and Apollo was right behind him.

The blonde-haired girl stood up slowly, looking amazed as she pulled something out from under her shirt. It was a necklace with half a heart that was gold in color. As they all watched, Zeus set the girl in his arms down as she reached for her neck and pulled out a necklace from under her shirt too, revealing it to be the same as Rachel's. Slowly, the girls moved closer until they were in front of each other and they carefully held up their necklaces, joining them together. The result made the aliens smile.

"They fit," Ghostfreak said softly.

"That can mean only one thing," Phantasmo said.

Rachel looked at the girl in front of her. "Sugar pumpkin," she said.

Sasha blinked and gasped. "Cookie patch," she replied.

Tears ran down both their faces now. "SASHA!" The blonde-haired girl said in shock and happiness.

"RACHEL!" The brown-haired girl exclaimed, also in shock and happiness as the two embraced, both crying tears of joy and hugging each other tightly.

Alien X smiled. "They're finally reunited after so long," he said.

Vampiro smiled. "A family reunion is always a good thing," he said, remember when he had thought he had lost his wife and sons, but a few years later, they were all reunited.

The sisters looked at each other, smiling happily. "I've missed you so much, Rach," Sasha said.

"Same here, sis," Rachel said. "Are you okay? Did...Did he get to you?"

The brown-haired girl shook her head. "No, they got me out in time, but he was right there," she said. She then gasped at seeing the Vladats come closer, but felt her sister tighten her hold a little on her hand.

"It's okay, sis. They're Mom's friends. They saved me too."

Vampiro smiled at her. "Don't be alarmed, Sasha," he said gently.

Whampire was gazing at Sasha and he felt his heart quicken, making him swallow hard as he thought she was beautiful and his eyes glowed a little. Vamps noticed and was surprised before smiling and gently pulling his brother back, seeing him shake his head to snap out of his trance and he looked at his brother, shaking his head and giving him a pleading look. His older brother nodded, knowing it would be a shock to the girl who had just gotten the surprises of her life that aliens had come to her rescue and her sister was alive.

Phantasmo smiled as he saw this. Ah, Whampire's found his soulmate, he thought to himself. But it looks like he's going to wait until Sasha's more comfortable around us.

He was glad for that, as were Zeus and Vampiro who also noticed until their attention was drawn back to the two sisters, who were hugging again, happy to finally be back together again.

The sisters are back together and yes, Whampire has found his soulmate in Sasha, but don't worry, he's not going to tell her right away considering that she's 14 and has just met them, but perhaps in the future... :) And yes, Rachel will find her soulmate too. :) Bet you all can guess who. :)
