Chapter 5: Truth Revealed

As the day progressed, Sasha slowly started to get used to the aliens. "I never thought that the stories Mom told us about aliens were true," she said.

"Yeah," Rachel said. "I didn't either until they found me."

"Do you think they really knew Mom?"

"Well, they answered the questions Mom said they would. No one but us knew her favorite color or perfume, so she must have known that we'd only go with them if she told them about that."

Phantasmo chuckled as he happened to catch this part of the conversation and floated into the room, making the girls look up. "She did mention how you two would be wary and clever," he said.

Sasha moved a little closer to her sister in fear, but Rachel smiled and hugged her. "It's okay. Phantasmo is a nice ghost," she said before looking sheepish. "Um, I mean, Ectonurite. An alien that looks similar to a ghost."

He chuckled, not taking offense before looking at Sasha. "Sasha, it's alright," he said gently. "None of us will harm you."

The girl turned her head into her sister's shoulder, to which Rachel realized with a jolt why her younger sister was acting this way. She had nearly forgotten and now it hit her. "Sasha?" She asked, looking at the fourteen-year-old. "Is it okay if I tell him?"

The brown-haired girl looked horrified and Phantasmo was curious. "Tell me what?" He asked gently.

Sasha clung to her sister, silently shaking her head, but the blonde-haired girl hugged her. "Sasha, they won't judge you," she said gently. "It would help them understand why you're still afraid of them."

"I'm not afraid," the younger girl denied, but when Phantasmo drifted closer, she began shaking, to which he noticed.

"Sasha," he cooed soothingly, making her look up at him. "Oh, what happened to you, young one?"

The girl didn't respond, but Rachel stood up, helping her up. "Come on, sis," she said, leading her to the bed gently and having her lay down. "It's okay. You're safe here."

Sasha didn't reply as her eyes seem to glaze over, which concerned her older sister. "Phantasmo, can you get Vampiro?" She asked, a note of urgency in her voice.

Nodding, he vanished and soon came back in with the elder Vladat in tow. "What happened?" Vampiro asked.

Rachel stood up. "Can you help her fall asleep?" She asked him, a pleading note in her voice. "She's going into a catatonic state."

Hearing that, the elder Vladat went over to Sasha, who looked over at him, but didn't move otherwise, her eyes glazed. "Oh, Sasha," he cooed before his eyes began swirling with his hypnosis. "Focus on my voice, my dear. Look into my eyes."

The green swirls swirled around gently and Sasha's eyes soon mimicked his, her whole body relaxing and her eyelids drooped down. "Relax and sleep, young one," the Vladat soothed her, brushing a hand over her head. "You're safe and sound. You can sleep peacefully."

The brown-haired girl at once fell asleep and Rachel motioned the Vladat and Ectonurite to follow her. They did and once they all got to the lounge where the others were, the fifteen-year-old took a deep breath and looked at them all.

"When Sasha and I were little, before Mom got us all away from our birth father, he did something that made both Mom and I mad," she said. "I had a doctor's appointment and so Mom took me to it, but while we were gone...that monster put Sasha, who was three years old at the time, in the closet filled with animatronic Halloween monsters."

The aliens looked horrified and she nodded. "Vampires, ghosts, Frankenstein, and werewolves," she said. "It was a big closet and Sasha was crying and screaming and that monster...," she paused, her hands clenching in anger. "That monster was laughing at her."

Zeus went up to her, gently pulling her into a hug and she sagged in his arms, tears building up in her eyes. "Mom and I came back and he was still laughing while watching video of Sasha crying and screaming while trying to find her way out of the closet," she continued. "I ran to get Sasha out while Mom punched that monster so hard he lost a few teeth."

"Served him right," Alien X said, disgusted that a father would be so cruel to his daughter.

"Bet he never did that again," said Ghostfreak.

"Actually, the next day, Mom took me and Sasha and we left," Rachel said. "We stayed together for a bit until she said we had to be separated for a bit for our safety." She then looked down and took a deep breath. "There's something else too, but Sasha and I have to tell it to you together."

Seeing they looked confused, she nodded. "When Sasha wakes up and we get her to see that you guys are okay, then I'll talk to her about that."

Whampire nodded before getting an idea and going into the room where Sasha was, sitting down on the bed as he watched her, mesmerized by her beauty. His heart pounded as he gazed at her face before he looked away, taking a deep breath. She was already terrified of vampires and if she found out he had a huge crush on her, he didn't doubt it would make her run for the hills.

Suddenly, Sasha began stirring and Whampire, in a panic as he didn't think she would have woken up so soon, dove under the bed, hiding as he heard her sit up.

Sasha yawned as she stretched. "What happened?" She asked aloud.

"I think you blacked out," a voice said.

She gasped and looked around. "Who's there?" She asked in fear.

"It's Whampire," he said. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

Sasha glanced around. "Where are you?" She asked.

"Um...I'm under the bed," he said sheepishly. "I was watching over you as you slept and thought you'd be too scared if you woke up to see a Vladat standing over you."

She blinked before leaning down to look under the bed, her face taking on a surprised look before she began giggling, finding it too funny. Whampire smirked and slid out from under the bed. "Are you laughing at me?" He asked, still smirking.

She was still giggling. "I'm sorry," she giggled out before her giggles took over again and she couldn't speak.

The Vladat smirked again before pouncing on her, making her gasp before she began laughing as he tickled her stomach and sides. She squirmed, but couldn't get free as she laughed harder before feeling him stop the tickle torture and let her up. She looked at him in confusion and cocked her head. "What's wrong?" She asked, wondering why he had stopped when she hadn't asked him to.

He gazed at her in surprise. "Well, um...your sister told us about...the closet incident," he admitted. "I...I didn't want you to feel like you couldn't escape."

Sasha blinked in surprise before smiling at him. "You're nothing like those animatronics that scared me when I was little," she admitted. "You're much more handsome."

Her face then went red as she realized what she had said and he looked at her in surprise before smiling. "Never had a beautiful lady tell me that before," he admitted, blushing a bit.

She blinked, realizing he just called her beautiful and she ducked her head shyly. Rachel came in then and she looked before smiling a little. "Is everything okay?" She asked.

Sasha nodded. "He was watching over me and respected my space," she said before looking at her sister. "He...He said you told them."

The older girl looked a bit contrite. "I'm sorry, sis, but I only told them so that they'd understand that it wasn't exactly them you were afraid of, but rather a memory that was resurfacing."

"Which I don't blame them for," the younger sister said firmly.

"Well, we don't hold your fears against you either," said Whampire. "But rest assured, none of us will hurt you. In fact, we were horrified to hear of what that monster had done."

"And he'll do worse if he can get us," Rachel said, going over and hugging her sister. "Which is why we can't go back until he's caught."

Sasha nodded before looking at her sister. "Did you tell them about the other thing?" She asked.

The older girl shook her head. "I told them that there was something else, but you and I need to discuss if we should tell them," she said.

The younger girl bit her lip before looking at Whampire. "How good are you guys at keeping secrets?" She asked.

He smiled. "We can keep secrets," he said. "In fact, my father is the King of Anur Transyl, which is where we are headed."

Rachel's jaw dropped. "He's a king?" She asked in shock.

Smiling, the green-masked Vladat nodded. "We didn't want to overwhelm you when you first met us, so we didn't tell you right away," he admitted. "But yes, he is a king while my brother and I are princes."

"Wow," Sasha said in awe.

The older sister smiled. "Well, I think we can tell them, sis," she said.

The younger girl nodded before looking at Whampire. "Can you go get the others, please?" She asked politely.

His heart fluttered at hearing her sweet voice and he nodded, moving to go find the others. Rachel looked at Sasha. "I think he's got a crush on you," she said.

The brown-haired girl blushed. "You think so?" She asked shyly. "I'm kind of surprised that...he thinks I'm beautiful."

The blonde-haired girl looked surprised, but then smiled. "Yup, total crush," she said. "But it sounds like he's being respectful of you."

Sasha nodded. "He does seem like a gentleman," she said before looking at her sister. "But...don't you think I'm too young to have a crush?"

Rachel laughed gently. "No," she said gently. "But just do me a favor and don't go get married yet. You're too young for that."

"True," the younger sister said.

The aliens all soon gathered and Rachel took a deep breath. "Before we were separated, Mom gave us each half a book," she said. "She told us that once we were reunited, we were to put the book together."

"We asked her if it was a story and she said it was in a way," Sasha said before reaching into her bag that she had had with her and pulling out a book that had a black cover and looked like the spine had been split down the middle. Rachel left the room and got her bag that the aliens had noticed she had had with her when they had found her. Returning with the bag, she opened it and pulled out a similar book with a black cover, the spine split down the middle. Carefully, the girls put the book together and Sasha pulled out a vial of something, carefully pouring it onto the cover.

The substance moved and covered the whole book before vanishing, making it look like new. Looking at her sister, the younger girl placed her hand on the cover. Nodding, Rachel placed her hand over her sister's hand and they carefully opened the book together. The aliens gathered close before Zeus' eyes widened at the page written in the Celestialsapien language. "So that's why she was so eager to learn our language," he said.

"What do you mean, Zeus?" Rachel asked.

"That page is written in the Celestialsapien native language," he said.

Sasha looked at it and then lifted up the next page to see, to which Vampiro's eyes widened. "The Vladat native language," he said.

The younger girl looked surprised, seeing the other pages were similarly written, but somewhat different too. "Are you saying Mom wrote this book is more than one language?" She asked. "Why is that?"

Rachel was thoughtful before she remembered something. "Because it was a secret that only certain people were to know about," she said. "Remember what Mom said? Only those that could answer the two questions were to see this book." She paused. "These guys answered the questions."

"This must have been what Holly meant when she said that only we could understand the secret her daughters carried," Phantasmo said.

"It must be something bad for her to have gone through so much trouble to create this book, split it, and give it to her daughters before separating them for their safety," Apollo said. "And perhaps the very reason their birth father is after them."

Ghostfreak and Alien X noticed the two sisters appeared rather shocked and moved closer, the Ectonurite hugging the older sister while the Celestialsapien hugged the younger one. "We'll keep you both safe," the latter promised.

Vampiro nodded. "When we get to Anur Transyl, there is a lady who has two grown sons," he said. "They work with us and I will ask her if she'd be willing to take you girls in."

Rachel looked up at him. "Take us in?" She repeated in question.

He nodded. "As her daughters," he said. "You both need a guardian parent, as well as us."

"If your birth father comes to us seeking a fight, at least you girls will be safe," Zeus said.

Sasha looked worried. "Rach and I don't have to be separated again, do we?" She asked.

"No," Phantasmo soothed. "You two will stay together. Holly made us promise that you girls would be reunited and we will not break that promise."

Rachel leaned into Ghostfreak's hug as he rubbed her back soothingly, shushing her gently. Alien X felt Sasha sag in his arms and he stroked her head, gently shushing her as they all felt the girls' emotions start to jumble up a bit.

The computers then beeped, indicating they were nearing Anur Transyl. Vampiro took the controls and made a smooth landing while the sisters looked at each other and held hands, nervous about the situation, but determined to be strong.

Just as their mother had been strong for them, they would do the same for each other.

Hmm. What secrets does the book contain that the girls' mother would take such measures to write it in more than one language. That will be revealed soon.

And next up: The girls meet Melodica and her two sons.
