Chapter 8: Claims and Games
Skit 1: Back off, she's mine
Voshkie'ahk is walking through Beacon, on her way to meet with Qrow and Ozpin for another 'secret mission' briefing. However, as she's moving through the halls of the main building, she comes across a few male students, particularly those from Team CRDL, Sky and Dove.
"Hey there, good looking, never seen you around here before. You a transfer from another academy?" Sky tries hitting on her.
Voshkie'ahk deadpans as she walks on by, "Sorry, have important business to tend to. Bye," she doesn't even give them a second glance.
Dove and Sky get in front of her again, "Oh, come on now, babe. Don't play that. How about we take a little bit of time to get to know one another better. I promise you we're good people," he flashes her a big white smile along with Dove.
"It's precisely because of a comment like that that makes you seem like bad people. Bye," Voshkie'ahk walks around them again.
"Hey! Listen here, you little, you WILL do as I-," Sky begins before he and Dove are pulled behind one corner in the hallway.
Voshkie'ahk looks back and sees them gone, "Hmph. Well, at least that's one annoyance out of my hair," she continues on her way.
Around the corner, Sky and Dove are tied up and gagged, trembling in fear as Yukari Hakucho stands before them, with Nora standing with her hammer at the ready.
"Oh my, do my eyes deceive me or did I see two perverted dogs trying to make a move on MY Voshkie. My, an affront such as this deserves swift punishment, wouldn't you say, Nora?" Yukari shows an innocent smile with a soft voice, but the dark clouds forming behind her are anything but innocent.
Nora nods, "I'd say you're right, Yukari. Let's break some legs!" Nora shows a devilish smile.
"Can I borrow that?" Yukari points at her hammer, which Nora happily lends to her. "Now then, for trying to sully my darling's purity, you naughty boys deserve 100 smashes!" Yukari then swings her hammer down on the boys.

Another day, Voshkie'ahk is practicing in the training room with her Dust cards, twirling a few around her before throwing them at some targets with deadly accuracy.
"Hey, you're Khazhak's sister, Voshkie'ahk right?" Voshkie'ahk looks back to see Sun and Neptune walking up to her. "Man, I heard you're pretty good with those cards of yours. I bet you'd be a shoo-in for the Vytal Festival tournament if you had a team!" Sun compliments her.
"Oh, well, um, thanks," Voshkie'ahk replies.
Neptune saunters over to her, "That's not the only thing she's impressive at. I don't know about him, but your beauty is especially stunning, dragon goddess," he tries to woo her.
Voshkie'ahk just stares at him, "Um... thanks?" she's a little perplexed.
Neptune pours it on, "You know, if you weren't trying to become a huntress, you'd definitely make it as a super-model. Your hair is so smooth, and your eyes shine like gold gemstones,"
"Um, thanks, but I like girls," Voshkie'ahk tries to be nice, though Neptune's not helping.
"Really, what do you know; so do I. We have so much in common," Neptune doesn't get it.
Sun feels an ominous presence behind him and looks back, wide-eyed, "Um, Neptune, I think you might want to stop," he sees Yukari standing there, sharpening Khazhak's swords as she glares at Neptune (where'd she get his swords anyway?).
"Pipe down man, I'm trying to be cool here," Neptune replies.
"Listen, if you want to ask me out on a date, you should first go through my girlfriend," Voshkie'ahk says as she steps away from Neptune after seeing Yukari.
"Huh? Girlfriend? What girlfriend?" Neptune asks.
"The one standing behind you," Yukari gets his attention, and Sun immediately bails and leaves his buddy behind. "Voshkie darling, I think you should go. You're not gonna want to see this," Yukari's innocent voice does not match the sinister smile on her face.
Voshkie'ahk nods and immediately leaves. Neptune screams as Yukari goes crazy on him. He did survive... but it did take over two weeks for his pretty face to be pretty again.

Voshkie'ahk is in one of the dorm rooms, petting Yukari as she rests her head on her girlfriend's lap.
"You know, I would never pick anyone over you, especially if they were a guy," Voshkie'ahk continues to pet her love.
Yukari snuggles closer, "I know. I just want everyone to understand that you are mine, okay," an evil smile shows on her face. "And anyone who doesn't agree will meet an untimely end,"
"What?" Voshkie'ahk didn't quite catch that.
"Oh, nothing," Yukari shows an innocent smile and goes back to letting her girlfriend pet her.
Skit 2: In Tune
Apparently, there was a competition at Beacon to see who could play a musical instrument the best. After the Battle of the Bands incident (which Team KEPL didn't participate in since they had a mission), Professor Ozpin decided to try another idea to get his students to let off some steam. Various students came to Professor Port's classroom and each one had to pick one instrument to practice and master in a limited time. After that, they would host a competition (without any killing this time... hopefully). When the teams showed up, Weiss went with a violin, Yang went with a guitar, Blake went with the flute (reluctantly), and Ruby went with the cello. Jaune tried to bring in his acoustic guitar... only for Khazhak to take it from him.
"Never again after that disaster you called a performance when you tried asking Weiss out to the dance," Khazhak says and tunes up the acoustic guitar.
Meanwhile, Ren went with a bamboo flute that he made, Nora went with the drums, and Pyrrha went with a trumpet. Jaune was stuck with the triangle. For Team KEPL, Lloyd had a saxophone, Porphyrius a piccolo, and Edom had a bass keyboard.
"So, who here thinks they're gonna win? Besides me of course," Yang smirks.
"Please, keep dreaming, blondie. I'm gonna beat the pants of the rest of the competition!" Nora raises her drum set.
"Nora, we're not using instruments as weapons this time. Put the drums down, and keep your hammer away," Ren stops her.
"Alright then, the losers pay the winner 20 lien each. How's that sound?" Ruby smirks.
"You're on, little rose. Just don't cry when I take your money," Khazhak accepts the challenge.
The team members get to practicing with their instruments. Of course, while some have innate talent with an instrument, such as Weiss as she plays her violin beautifully (much to Ruby and Yang's ire), some are having a little more trouble finding their inner musician. Most can tell that when they see Nora pounding her drums so hard... she accidently breaks every part of it.
"Aw, I broke another one," Nora mopes.
As the days for training go by, the competition comes sooner than most thought.
"Alright everyone, it's time for the musician competition. Get your instruments ready, and let's play some music!" Ozpin announces.
The competition gets under way, with the members of Team CRDL going up first... and immediately getting kicked off the stage, literally, by Lloyd and Porphyrius.
"And now that the semi-opening act is over with, let the real competition commence," Lloyd announces, getting cheers from the crowd.
Team JNPR went up first, with Nora nearly breaking her drums... again, Jaune getting a little booed off the stage, Pyrrha doing a good job with her performance, and Ren getting the best score on his team with his bamboo flute. It even got a few cheers from some female students... until they shut up when Nora started glaring at them with her hammer at the ready. The next team up was Team RWBY, with Blake not putting much effort in, Ruby breaking one of the strings on her cello, and Yang doing a good job... until she smashes her guitar into the floor after getting too into it. Weiss does an excellent job with her violin, getting the most points out of her team. Finally, there is Team KEPL with Porphyrius and Edom doing a somewhat decent job (Edom's much better with his singing skull phantoms), Lloyd doing a great job on the saxophone, and Khazhak doing a better job on the acoustic guitar. With Weiss, Ren, and Khazhak as the three finalists. After the tallies are done and the points are counted up, Ozpin comes up with the winner for the competition.
"And the winner of the Beacon musician competition is... Azula Skyfall!" Ozpin announces.
"WHAT?!" All three finalists yell.
Azula appears on stages with her piano and with a wave of her hair, she plays a new song. (My Soul, Your Beats begins)
"Mezamete wa kurikaesu, nemui asa wa.
Eri no tai o kitsuku shime.

kuguru to hon no sukoshi

The crowd cheers like crazy for her performance.
"How? When?" Weiss asks.
"Oh, she gave us a performance while you all were practicing for the competition. I had to grade her on it, and she got more points than anyone else," Ozpin explains.
Lloyd watches Azula play, "That's my girlfriend,"
Skit 3: The Perfect Gift
Valentine's day is a day of love and relationships. When relationships are created, or move on to the next stage. And of course, when chocolates and sweets are given out to crushes or between friends just for the spirit of things. Of course, sometimes, Valentine's day can be almost like Hell on Remnant when it comes to finding 'the perfect gift' or the 'right setting' for a romantic occasion. And on this particular Valentine's day, one subject is practically pulling his hair out in just such a situation.
"Khazhak, you need to calm down... and stop chocking Lloyd out. You're gonna make him pass out again," Porphyrius deadpans as he and Edom watch Khazhak squeeze Lloyd in a side naked choke.
"How am I supposed to calm down?! It's Valentine's day, and I don't have a single gift to give to Ruby. One, I forgot because of that damn test we had to take for Professor Port, and then when I realized it, all of the best presents and chocolates were already gone. You idiots forgot to tell me, even though you went out and bought chocolates for your girls!" Khazhak points at the chocolate heart gifts Porphyrius and Edom are carrying.
"Well, as they say, the early bird gets the worm," Edom notes.
"Um, Brother... Could you let go now?... I can't breathe," Lloyd begs.
Khazhak reluctantly releases him, "Because of that, you three are going to help me find a Valentine's day gift for Ruby. And that's an order!" Khazhak is starting to freak out again.
Porphyrius sighs, "Fine, fine. Let's go over what we know. Ruby likes sweets, and while most think her favorite treat is chocolate chip cookies, strawberries are actually her favorite treat. Most of the stores are out of that kind of stuff by this point, so we'll have to either look all over the place for something like that, or try something else that has a Valentine's day theme to it. Hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to find something like that in Vale's shopping district," Porphyrius goes off.
They look around, seeing practically every store in Vale all decked out in shades of pink, red, and white for the occasion.
"Alright then, let's find you that gift for Ruby," Edom says.
Lloyd cracks his neck, "Yeah, because I really like breathing, you know,"
The team start going from store to store, looking for the right gift for Ruby. Of course, that's easier said than done. Each store they come across always seems to be out of Valentine's gifts. Each time they strike out, Khazhak's frustration increases bit by bit. Hell, at one store, he was about to pull out his swords and threaten the shopkeeper there if he didn't help him find a gift (luckily, Lloyd and Edom helped calm him down). At a flower shop, Khazhak manages to find one red rose, the last one apparently. Khazhak got it just in case, but it didn't do much to raise his spirits.
As he's mulling over this, Lloyd notices Porphyrius texting on his scroll, "Who are you texting?"
"Someone who's an expert on Ruby. And... I think I found a solution," Porphyrius replies.
…
Later that day, back at Beacon, Khazhak is waiting for Ruby to come out of the weapon workshop where she likes to go to tune up her Crescent Rose, holding a small package behind his back and the rose he picked out. His teammates watch from around a corner, and they can see him practically sweating bullets over there as he waits. Soon enough, Ruby pops out of the workshop and notices Khazhak.
"Oh, hey Khazhak, what's up?" Ruby greets him.
"Hi, uh, Ruby. I, um, wanted to give you... something," Khazhak is really nervous.
"Oh, really, what is it?" Ruby gets excited.
Khazhak takes a deep breath and then hands Ruby the package and the rose, "Um... Happy Valentine's day," he mutters as he glances away with a slight blush on his cheeks. Ruby gasps and blushes as she takes the package and begins to open it up. "I realize that while it's Valentine's day, this isn't a real Valentine's gift, so I'm sorry I couldn't get you-,"
"This is perfect!' Ruby cheers. "This is the new sniper scope I've been looking for my Crescent Rose. I can't believe you found it. Thank you so much Khazhak!" Ruby says and gives a quick peck on his cheek before she dashes off, leaving Khazhak in a dreamy daze.
His teammates look on, "How'd you know that would work?" Lloyd asks Porphyrius.
Porphyrius pulls out his scroll, "I texted Yang for the info. Ruby actually doesn't care about Valentine's day, but she'll always go for weapon upgrades for her scythe. Simple enough,"
They then notice Khazhak fall onto the ground with a weird smile on his face, "Well, I'd say that plan worked... maybe a little too well," Lloyd notes.
And that's the chapter. I know it was late, but I thought about a little Valentine's day skit for this chapter. As for the song in skit 2, it's My Soul, Your beats, the opening song for Angel Beats (really good anime in my opinion). Anyway, what other crazy adventures will the gang be in?
