Here we are at Chapter 40. Vengeance is sweet, is it not? It's time for more RWBY KEPL Chibi! I do not own RWBY. They belong to roosterteeth. I only own my OCs. Here's chapter 40. Enjoy.
Chapter 40: Revenge and Pancakes
Skit 1: Best served Cold
"Okay, so we're all in agreement here?" Khazhak asks, his teammates all together in a close huddle.
"Sure, but is this really a good idea? We could come to regret this?" Edom notes.
"You're just saying that because Weiss would be mad at you. Grow a pair, Edom," Porphyrius glares at him.
"You know I'm down for this! Time for some payback!" Lloyd cheers.
"Good. Then Operation: Cold Shoulder is a go. Let's move," Khazhak declares.
This all started when Winter came as a substitute teacher for a little while at Beacon and put her class, which included Team KEPL, through the ringer with her crazy training methods. Since that day, Khazhak swore revenge, and pulled his teammates into the mix. However, this was Winter Schnee they were talking about here. Half-measures won't do jack, and even with full measures, she may still see them coming. Good thing they have the numbers advantage.
…
Winter was walking with a stack of papers in her hand down a hallway in Beacon towards her classroom. All reports for her to grade. Of course, from what she'd seen so far, most of the students here would fail by her standards (though her standards are probably the problem there). Entering her classroom, she walks up to her desk and is about to sit down when she notices a few thumbtacks on her seat.
Winter narrows her eyes, "Hmph, how pedestrian, and ludicrously immature. I see someone has even less brains than I first thought," she says while putting her papers down and then removing the thumbtacks.
She starts writing down her notes and grades on the papers. An hour later, she finishes the last report and leans back in her chair with a sigh, happy to be done. She rests a moment then looks back at the last paper... and her eyes go wide.
"What the-," Winter notices all her notes gone on the report.
She checks the others and finds the same thing on all of them. Like she never wrote anything in the first place. She then thinks something must be up with her pen and inspects it. She finds it wrapped in black sticky paper and removes it, finding the words "Invisible Ink Pen" written on the side. Winter's eye twitches before snapping the pen in half.
…
The next day, Winter is preparing the training course for her class's next lesson, getting all the obstacles and traps ready. After getting a series of buzzsaw blades set up, Winter turns, only for a boulder to come flying at her. Winter narrowly dodges it with the aid of her glyphs, but when she lands on the ground, it gives away and she falls into a pool made up of pink paint. Her whole figure gets soaked and coated in pink. As she slowly rises from the pink pool, her body is shaking as her anger is rising.
…
The next, next day, Winter is trying to enjoy a cup of tea in the pavilion after a long day of teaching students. She's been on edge ever since these weird events started happening. She could sense it. Someone was after her. The only question is... who would be gutsy enough to mess with Winter Schnee? Her first suspect is Qrow, but the last she heard, he was out on one of those 'secret' missions of his. So, it couldn't be him. Maybe that monkey-tailed Faunus; Sun wa his name? Hmm, no he's not a student at Beacon. Maybe Yang Xiao Long from Team RWBY. Weiss told her the blonde loves pranking people and bad puns. She seems a likely candidate. But, if not her, then who could it be?
As Winter wonders about all of this, she notices Porphyrius and Lloyd sparring against each other nearby. Lloyd is making a flurry of claw strikes at Porphyrius, who keeps moving back while parrying them with his arm blades. Winter can't help but have a negative opinion about how they're fighting right now. While she watches them brawl, she doesn't notice Khazhak placing several spoon sized helpings of salt into her tea. Disappearing before she notices, Winter sips her tea, only to gag at the incredibly salty taste.
"That's it! Who's responsible for all of this?! I've had it!" Winter yells, looking around and spotting a trail of salt down the path.
Winter growls and runs down the trail of salty breadcrumbs.
…
"I hope my sister is doing okay. I can tell that she's starting to get a little overwhelmed with all this extra teaching work," Weiss notes while walking with Yang.
"Personally, I think your sister needs to relax sometimes. She's even more uptight than you," Yang notes.
"Hey! I'm not-," Weiss begins.
"Hi, girls. Hey, Weiss, hold this," Khazhak says quickly, handing Weiss a saltshaker before making a break for it.
"What was that all about?" Yang wonders.
Just then, Winter shows up and freezes when she sees the saltshaker in Weiss' hands.
"Weiss... how could you? All this time, it was you, my own sister?! My own sister has turned into a delinquent!" Winter has a look of anger mixed with shock and betrayal.
"Hold on, what?! What are you talking about? Khazhak gave this to me and-," Weiss is very confused.
"No lies or excuses will help you, Weiss! That's it; it's time for extra lessons with you! Come with me at once!" Winter grabs Weiss by her arm and drags her off, her sister showing a look of confusion mixed with terror.
"Sister, please, this is a terrible misunderstanding!" Weiss screams.
"Huh, well, I guess I'll keep the saltshaker then," Yang smiles.
As long as Winter isn't mad at her, she's cool with whatever is going on right now.
Skit 2: Pancake Pandamonium
Nora walks out of her room with a very grumpy look on her face as she tosses another one of her "Get Ren to notice me plans" down the hall.
"Why hasn't anything been working?! Is it really so hard to get a guy to notice you or are all men just that dense?" Nora complains as she stomps down the hall.
"Oh my, seems something's got you all out of sorts, hmm," she hears a voice and looks over to see Yukari Hakucho poking the box Nora just threw away. "You're usually much more happy and cheery than this. What seems to be the problem?"
Nora groans, "Ugh, it's Ren. I've tried to many things to get him to really notice me, but either they don't work, or he doesn't take the bait. It's so frustrating!"
"Right, you think that, maybe, it has something to do with all the pranks you put him through all the time?" Yukari gives her a scrutinizing look.
"Hey! I do all of that out of love. It's love!" Nora retorts.
"Right... Well, if you'd like, I might be able to help you with that, Nora," Yukari offers.
"Um, I'm looking to get Ren's attention, not traumatize him," Nora is very hesitant.
"One, whatever you THINK I would suggest would be nothing compared to all the horrible things you've put him through. And that's just all in your first semester here at Beacon, too. Now, I have a number of ways of getting a person's attention. How do you think I got my Voskie darling to fall head over heels with me? Now, do you want my help or not?" Yukari says.
Nora sighs, "Fine, what have I got to lose... besides my dignity," she mutters.
…
Ren walks towards the kitchen one morning to cook his famous pancakes. However, as he nears it, he catches the scent of something cooking from within. It smells familiar, too. It seems someone beat him to the punch, but he can always wait his turn. Entering the kitchen, he freezes when he catches who's cooking. It's Nora... cooking pancakes just like Ren... all while wearing a pretty pink and white dress similar to what she wore at the school dance.
"Good morning, lazy butt! Breakfast is just about ready. Just give me one minute," Nora cheers.
"Um, Nora... what's going on exactly?" Ren is very confused.
"What's it look like? I'm making you breakfast. Can't have you or Jaune always being the ones to do the home cooking. Now, hurry up and take a seat," Nora says, flipping a pancake.
"But... when did you learn how to make pancakes?" Ren asks as he takes a seat.
"Duh, by watching you. I wasn't just sneaking some bites of your delicious pancakes. I've watched you make them so many times that I practically have the method memorized by now," Nora replies.
A moment later, Nora comes out with a plate of delicious looking pancakes. Ren takes a quick sniff and they smell normal enough. They even have syrup on them.
"Hmmm, I have to admit that I'm actually impressed, Nora. You didn't even eat all the syrup either. That must've been difficult," Ren notes.
"Even I have some sense of self-control. Now, go on and eat up. I want to know how good they taste," Nora practically bounces on her feet by this point.
Ren shrugs his shoulders and takes a bite of Nora's pancakes. He freezes and his eyes go wide. He immediately takes the glass of milk and chugs the whole thing. After washing the pancake down, Ren coughs and takes a few breaths.
"Nora... how much sugar did you put into making these pancakes?" Ren gags.
"Oh, I used the whole bag. I wanted to make them just a little sweet, just for you," Nora smiles innocently. Ren coughs and then passes out, falling out of the chair. "Ren? Wow, my pancakes were so amazing that he passed out from pure joy. Maybe I should make pancakes more often," she cheers.
Skit 3: Shocking Surprise
In Team RWBY's dorm room, Ruby is close to tearing her hair off as she crumbles up a a piece of paper and tosses it over to the trash can... which is already full of many other sheets f paper.
"Okay, this is getting ridiculous. At this rate, you'll not only use up your whole notebook, but also mine. What has gotten you so frustrated this time, Ruby?" Weiss asks, her foot tapping on the floor.
"Khazhak's birthday is coming up and I want to get him a present, but I have no idea what to get him!" Ruby cries.
"Wait, Khazhak's birthday? You're not trying to throw a surprise party, are you little sis? I really think you should stop with all of that," Yang notes from her bunk.
"I know that! You guys already made it very clear that I shouldn't throw surprise parties... even though no one 'died' died from them. That's why I just want to get him a nice gift, but I have no idea what to do," Ruby explains.
"Please, I'm pretty sure he'll be happy with whatever you give him. How many birthdays did he miss because he was fighting for his life out in the wild all by himself and then his team later on?" Weiss says.
"That precisely why I want to make this special. To make up for all of the birthdays he didn't get to have," Ruby says, sagging in her chair.
"Well, why not ask Voshkie'ahk or his teammates. They've known him a lot longer than we have," Blake says while reading her book.
Ruby's head pops up, "Yes, great idea, Blake! I'll be right back!" and Ruby zips out of the dorm room.
"Think we should be worried?" Weiss asks.
"...I'd say no, but then I'd be lying," Yang replies, while Blake just shrugs her shoulders.
…
"A birthday present for Brother? Oh, I see. Want to get him something special, huh?" Lloyd teases Ruby.
"Lloyd! This is serious. Please, any idea what I could get him for his birthday?" Ruby asks.
Ruby came to Team KEPL's room for advice. Luckily, Khazhak wasn't there, but Lloyd and Edom were.
"Well, we've already collected our gifts for Khazhak. I got some new cleaning gear for his blades. Porphyrius got him a new pair of vambraces for his arms, and Lloyd got him a new video game to play in his down time. Though, that proves difficult for him to relax like that given his personality," Edom explains.
"Oh," Ruby slouches. "Man, you guys already got him some really good ones. I want to get him something really special since this is his first birthday here at Beacon, with all of us, and without him constantly fighting just to survive,"
Lloyd hums, "Hmmm... well, I got nothing,"
Edom sighs, "Of course you wouldn't think too long on it... Wait, I think I may know just the thing," he snaps his fingers, leaving Ruby a bit perplexed.
…
The next day, Khazhak is walking towards the school library when a red blur flies past him, making him spin like a top before the red blur comes back and stops him, revealing to be Ruby.
"Khazhak, I finally found you!" Ruby cheers.
"W-W-What?! Ruby? Where's the fire, little rose?" Khazhak shakes away his dizziness.
"Listen, I know it's a little early, but I couldn't help myself, so..." Ruby has a little blush on her face before timidly pulling out a small, gift-wrapped package. "...Um, Happy Birthday,"
"Wait... this is... for me?" Khazhak points at himself. When Ruby nods, Khazhak accepts the gift and unwraps it, gasping when he finds a small, intricate box with dragon designs engraved on it. "What's this?"
"I mean, I know how much your family's dragon necklace means to you. So, I got you this. Something to keep it safe when you're not wearing it. Do you... like it?" Ruby gets all bashful now.
Khazhak stares between her and the gift and eventually smiles.
He pats Ruby on the head, "Thanks, little rose. I like it. I'll treasure it always," Khazhak smiles.
Ruby returns the smile, "Right. Let me say it again, Happy early Birthday, Khazhak!"
And that's the chapter. Some more fun mixed with tender moments in between. Hope you guys liked these ones. Until then, please Read and Review.
