Robert and JJ spent a lot of the evening exchanging WSB stories with Holly and Jayne chiming in every now and then.

"I think your dad has a new best friend." Holly smiled at both Robin and Jayne. She thought it was great how friendly the two were."

"It's wonderful. They are both great men." Jayne smiled as she looked over at the two of them.

The Scorpio Townhouse

Ethan had popped some popcorn, and him and Annie had picked out a movie. Tiff and Seana were having a girl's night, Tiff's way of helping this "date" happened. "We ready?" He asked her as he took a seat next to her.

Annie nodded and took the bowl. "It's nice to have a little time, just the two of us. "

Ethan smiled at her. He really did have feelings for her, and they grew daily. "It is. Annie?"

"What?" Annie asked as the front door opened, and Robert, Holly, and Jayne came inside.

"Oh, sorry! Pretend we aren't here." Holly grabbed Robert's hand and pulled him upstairs. Jayne followed them up.

"Where were we?" Annie asked.

"I know we are trying to take things slower, but I have cared about you since we first were involved, and I don't want to scare you, but I would love to have something more." Ethan blurted it out, any chance of being smooth going out the window.

Annie couldn't help but smile at his admission. What a sweet side to him. She had seen a lot of that with Seana. "I want that too, Ethan. I don't say this easily, but since you were open with me, I think it's only fair. I am falling in love with you. I don't know if I did before, I had strong feelings, but now I really do know that I am truly falling in love with you."

Ethan leaned in and gave her a kiss, pulling her close to him. He was so happy he could jump through the roof.

Holly went and knocked on Jayne's door. "It's me."

Jayne went over and opened it. "Hi, mum. What's up?" She asked.

"I thought you looked like you needed to talk earlier." Holly went in and closed the door, sitting down.

"Chase is moving in with The Quartermaines." Jayne frowned as she sat down. "I get it, but honestly, I just think it can't happen, and that's a sign it shouldn't."

Holly took her daughter's hand into hers. "Maybe it's good to know that now."

"Honestly the thing is I do have feelings for JJ but I don't want to make an ass out of myself and make it seem like I am with him because...I mean even if he is interested in me." Jayne was honest with her mother.

"Oh my darling, He definitely is, but I think you might need to take it slow. Let your heart work through what it's feeling." Holly advised her daughter. She didn't want to see her hurt anymore than she already had.

"For a while, JJ was the only bright spot I had, and I really do still feel that, but you are right. I need to take it slow. We need to get to know each other as friends, and if it happens, it happens." Jayne knew Holly was correct about letting her heart heal.

"You remind me so much of a mix of your father and I, and I love that." Holly gave Jayne a hug. "JJ seems like a good guy to have as a friend."

"I love that too, and he is. Thank you for being here." Jayne told her mom.
