Auch. The setting of the Three Musketeers is where our heroes are head towards. With the Olympic Flame safe in their hands, they were exploring the sights of Auch with them starting off at Caherdrale Saint Marie, whilst the Phryges hearing ghostly whispers calling out for our heroes.
In the Tour D'Armagnac at Place Salinis, the crew tried following the voices that led them across the location. Ghostly voices were then felt among the crew again, giving them goosebumps. Gaulois remembered the words Genos said back in Toulon, and he came back to his senses. He then saw the directions to the Monumental Staircase and sprung up. "Ze Monumental Staircase! That's it!" Gaulois said, "There could be the place where Genos could be waiting for me!" The heroes went over and up the Monumental Staircase, until they approached the statue of D'Artagnan. When the heroes were about to approach the statue closely, a ghostly spirit appeared, and he approached Gaulois Le Bleu.
"Aren't you the spirit of Alexander Dumas?" asked Gaulois le Bleu. "Was that your voice calling out to me?"
"Correct. I assume that you are the heroes that were destined for that great calling in Paris." answered the spirit. The Greek spirit Genos then appeared, and said, "Pleasure to meet you heroes again, heroes. But there is something I would like to do with Gaulois." He then gathered some magic sawdust and blew onto the statue of D'Artagnan. The statue of D'Artagnan came to life, and he bowed to Gaulois and the crew in a gentlemanly manner and greeted, "Greetings, commoners. For once, let me introduce myself. D'Artagnan is the name, and I am allies with the Three Muskeeters."
"You see, Gaulois and the crew are off to Paris and they are carrying the Olympic Flame. Previously on the journey to Tokyo, I have helped Japanese gods, spirits and figures to encourage that heroic rabbit by the name of Ricky to go through the distance if he wants to save the Laff-A-Lympics in Tokyo. That resulted him in becoming a beloved hero with the qualities that others need to learn. Now, it shall be the rooster's turn to be empowered to strive forward and I have to guide him." Genos explained. "For now, the spirits and figures of France shall be your guides whenever you are, just like the Japanese ones that had propelled your rabbit friend to greater heights he has ever imagined before."
"So, you a rooster, are off to Paris with the Olympic Flame and your crew shall be facing the trials and tribulations. You shall be finding the friends or allies that can bear similarities to Athos, Porthos and Aramis." The statue then conjured up something and gave it to Gaulois. It was a gold-and-silver swashbuckler's sword, similar to what the Three Musketeers have wielded back then. "Here, this is Majestic Musketeer of Magic. It shall be your weapon of choice for defense, but please use it for good."
"Just remember those useful words, All for one, and one for all! For now, I shall go. Trials and challenges await on your path to Paris, and I wish you all the best to you heroes." said the statue of D'Artagnan as he went back to position and became a statue again. The spirit of Alexandre Dumas then departed with Genos, leaving the heroes to continue their journey.
The Museum of Americas has opened their eyes to other countries civilizations and culture even Pepito has felt familiar with. With Pre-Columbian art on display, our heroes gained knowledge and insights into the ancient cultures of the Americas. Fine arts and paintings were on display with Gallo-Roman and Ancient Egyptian artifacts, even our heroes admired the efforts that the sculptor has put into the statue that shows the last emperor of France, King Louis XVI. The Phryges also admired the them too, with them imitating the tour guides hilariously while entertaining a few guests in the process.
While walking through the exhibits, they noticed someone. A Mexican boy was playing music near the exhibits of Latin American cultures of the Mayan civilization, and his guitar played smooth music that would make grown men cry.
"Such beautiful and tear-jerking music we have ever heard!" Asterix complimented. "What is your name, boy?"
"The name is Miguel, and I am a musician. I might be cursed because I originate from a family that detests music, through the trials I have went through, I have finally got them to realize what music means so much for them and opened my eyes to everyone to remember." answered the boy. "This is my dear guitar, and it's purely magical and melodious."
"Well, that was a very arduous experience you had, at least you have learned something from it." Etno then went on, "Lowest of points should not be hindrances for you, they serve as moments where you get your chance to develop your own character into someone who much better! Self-reflection is important since it makes you realize what are you supposed to be! Do you mind joining our team so that you can make everyone hear your melodious music in Paris?"
"Sure! I think that Paris is a place where musicians are welcome too! I would like to create melodious memories together with other musicians!" Miguel answered gleefully. He then joined the crew, with him starting on the road to Paris.
When the heroes exited the museum, Gaulois was exhausted but jovial. He said, "Thankfully, it will be another villain-free day for real, no baddies around to hurt us so let's go and – "
"Going so soon? Oh dear, what a pity that poor little cuties like you have to face me first!" A voice came from behind, and the heroes shuddered. A female villain in the form of a purple-coloured witch hybrid appeared, and her body looks voluptuous and stunning.
"Lisa Minci here. The witch of Montstadt who is loyal to Chairman Xi Jinping shall be your opponent that will destroy you for real, should you be able to relinquish the Olympic Flame gently to me, or you shall have to face me and my sister!"
"Like that will ever happen!" Bud snapped back.
"Still stubborn as ever, huh?" Lisa Minci smirked evilly and she snapped her fingers. Another witch-looking villain appeared, with a different colour scheme.
"A twin sister?" Rayman gasped.
"Mona Megistus is the name of your doom. We are going to dig your graves, weaklings!" smirked the other witch-looking villain.
"Never! We would not bow to you evil villains for your constant misdeeds!" Pepito spoke angrily.
"Oh yeah? Then how about you try this on for size, if you will." Lisa Minci smirked, and she snapped her fingers and the museum statues our heroes have seen have become fearsome monsters came to life. The statues have burst out and sent everyone running in panic, awaiting commands for battling.
"Wanna play with our new pets, cuties? You weaklings make fine chew toys for today!" Lisa Minci then rode on the giant stone jaguar while Mona Megistus rode on the Sphinx. The crew were cornered by villains again, and they must fight them.
Boss – Mona Megistus and Lisa Minci
Our heroes discovered that the wands of Mona and Lisa are controlling the statues, leading them to strategize. Mona and Lisa kept ordering the statues to attack them and pin them down, scattering our heroes in different directions. Distracting won't even help them from fighting off those conjured statues, since Mona and Lisa were too smart to be outwitted by them. Even the Phryges were pinned down and were deemed powerless. Pepito then noticed Miguel and his guitar, and that gave him an idea. He then went over to Miguel and said something.
"Hey, that music instrument of yours could be the key!" pleaded Pepito. "Your music can be that melodious to turn the tide of the battle!"
"Really?" asked Miguel.
"Yeah!" answered Pepito. "Come on, we need your help to stop those baddies or we are going to be toast!"
Miguel just knew what to do. He then grabbed his guitar and sang a song. "Remember Me…." The song was so soothing and moving that the statues have stopped attacking and listened to the melodies. The statues started to sob, and they cried in different positions and even the huge stone jaguar was whining like an injured dog abandoned on a street. Our heroes even cried fresh tears and even Obelix mistakenly used one of the Phryges as handkerchiefs. When Miguel finished his song, he and Pepito then went over to the Sphinx and the stone jaguar.
"It's OK, don't cry, big boy." Miguel patted the giant stone jaguar's head, causing it to heed its command. The giant stone jaguar then licked Miguel's face, while the Sphinx was tamed by Pepito. Our heroes were relieved and the villains Mona and Lisa were unhappy. Miguel and Pepito then commanded the Sphinx and the stone jaguar to deal with Lisa Minci and Mona Megistus, and the statues attacked them and they fell over, causing them to drop their wands.
Asterix and Madeline then took the wands from Mona Megistus and Lisa Minci, and handed over to Pepito and Miguel. Pepito and Miguel then undid the damage Mona Megistus and Lisa Minci has done to the museum, and turned the statues back to normal again. Mona Megistus and Lisa Minci were tied up by Etno, Madeline and Gaulois, and the two villains were surrounded by angry glares for their misdeeds.
"Unhand us, you insufferable fools! You heroes are never smarter than the average villains!" Mona Megistus shouted angrily while struggling.
"You may be smart and all, but what you lack most of all is the heart!" Rayman snapped. "You are heartless villains overall in terms of your personality!"
Using their wands seized from Mona Megistus and Lisa Minci, our heroes wrapped Lisa Minci and Mona Megistus in bandages. They then conjured up sarcophaguses, ready to punish them by sending them off again.
"You got lucky this time, cuties! But we have lots of villains that can eradicate the bothersome lot of you! We will never forfeit!" Lisa Minci yelled at them while she struggled with Mona Megistus. Mona Megistus and Lisa Minci were then stuffed inside those Ancient Egyptian sarcophaguses, and they were flung by Obelix with them disappearing into the sky with a twinkle.
"Do you think it will be the last we will see those villains again?" Madeline asked.
"Beats me." Gaulois answered as he got into another jolly tune. "Now let's get moving, mon amis! Heading to Tarbes Ho, because that's here we go, we have to heave ho, before we reach tally-ho!"
Our heroes then sang joyfully with Gaulois and the Phryges lining up behind them, with Tarbes awaiting them. The journey continues into Tarbes with new adventures that lie ahead.
Meanwhile in the hideout in Paris…..
"What kind of treachery is this? Such chivalrous skills our heroes have shown, I cannot accept this!" Lila Rossi fumed.
"Relax, mistress." Chloe Bourgouis assured her. "We have new villains coming on the way to destroy them in their next location they are headed, so be patient!"
