Toulon. The next location for the Phryges and our heroes. They were exhausted after chasing the thief who stole from the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations in Marseille, and now they have to find the artifact before the curator has to explain to his bosses.
"Can't believe we got caught up in another mystery to solve!" said Gaulois as they walked past the Chateau Font du Broc. "The culprit could be somewhere ready to show up, and even take away the Olympic Flame for evil purposes as well! We gotta keep an eye on clues before we head off for another destination!"
"Over here! There is another clue!" Asterix exclaimed. The Opera de Toulon was vandalized from the inside, with several props being stolen from the set. The actors and actresses were in great distress and they needed those props for their stageplay of Les Miserables. Our heroes then assured them that everything we be resolved, and they found several trails of plundering and theft along the way in Toulon.
"Oh great, this would get even worse than I thou-" exclaimed Gaulois until he ran into someone. There were five aliens with different looks, they came in the colours of lavender, green, red, orange and blue. Asterix thought if they were able to lend a helping hand, so he let Gaulois ask them.
"Allow me to introduce myself. The name is Etno, and we are part of the Space Goofs." Replied the purple alien. "Those are my friends and colleagues, Bud, Gorgious, Candy and Stereo."
"Nice to meet you!" greeted Bud. "Were you the guys who are trying to protect the Olympic Flame while trying to find that stolen artifact from Marseille? We can really help you find that artifact!"
"Merci beaucoup!" Gaulois thanked them. "Now let's search for clues and find that culprit!"
The group along with the Phryges then searched for clues in different locations. They searched high on Mount Faron, and searched low on Memorial du Débarquement et la Liberation en Provence. The markets of Toulon were evident of plunderings done by the culprit giving the heroes more hope for apprehending it. It was not long until they reached Toulon Harbor, and they found the artifact lying flat.
"The artifact!" Gaulois exclaimed as he spotted the Phryges rushing towards it, "Gotta get this before the curator gets reprimanded for missing that piece!" The gang rushed with relief with their luck hanging on. Suddenly, rifles coming from warships and submarines aimed at the direction of our heroes, intimidating them into turning around to look at their latest enemy. It was Beidou, the villainous Big Dipper Pirate from China's evil communist game Genshin Impact.
"Mwahahahaha! Foolish heroes! You have lured yourselves straight into our trap! That heist at the museum of Marseille and the city of Toulon was planned to bait you cretins right into your doom!" Beidou laughed, "Now hand over the Olympic Flame nice and steady or you will be walking the plank in no time flat!"
"I knew it! You are the one who stole that artifact from that museum, right?" Gaulois yelled at her assertively.
"Correct. That artifact could be useful in powering my ship and arsenal to destroy you. Your road ends here, and you are going to end up in the galley as a fine meal!" Beidou answered.
"Guess we have no choice…. But settle this once and for all in a boss battle!" Gorgious exclaimed. The heroes got themselves into stances for battle, ready to fight.
Boss – Beidou (Genshin Impact)
Beidou was very tricky for the heroes to defeat, with her conjuring up flashy attacks and firing cannons from her ship in all directions. Dodging was much critical than they have thought, in order to avoid getting injured by that villain Beidou. After a short while, the heroes were almost exhausted along with Beidou, and Beidou was about to unleash a finishing attack with a bomb prepared at her cannon.
"Now…. It's time to walk the plank, cretins!" Beidou said. "Say your prayers!" She launched a bomb right in the direction of our heroes with a cannon. Before the bomb could hit them, the quick-thinking Asterix drank the magic potion and he along with Obelix quicky deflected the bomb by using a large stick that Obelix found, hitting the bomb back like a baseball bat. The bomb then went in the direction of Beidou and her ship, giving her an explosive defeat with her ship blown to smithereens. Beidou fell into the water after the explosion, and she was entangled in fishing nets by a few fishermen.
"You may have won this time, but we shall emerge victorious! We hate you blasted heroes along with those pesky hats and your pathetic morning alarm!" Beidou shouted in defeat as she was captured by fishermen along with her ship sinking to the bottom of the sea.
"Bomb voyage!" Gaulois teased back, with the artifact safe in his hands. "Now who will get that precious artifact back to the museum where it belongs?"
"Leave this to us." Etno replied in a gentlemanly manner. "We will be joining you on the adventure later once we get the job done, so that the curator will avoid a heavy reprimanding by his bosses. That artifact we be returned safe and sound, we promise!"
"Salut to you!" Bud shouted, "We will be back for you shortly!"
"Take care and good luck, heroes! Stay safe whenever you are cos' we will be joining in too later!" Candy waved goodbye as The Space Goofs left with the artifact handed over by Gaulois, heading for Marseille.
"By Toutatis!" exclaimed Asterix, "Let's go before any villains sneak up on us!" The heroes then boarded a train via the train station in Toulon, headed for another destination in France.
Meanwhile in the secret hideout….
"How pathetic…. Those meddlesome hats and heroes have shattered our expectations." Lila Rossi said in a disgruntled mood. She was really unhappy with Beidou losing to those heroes, and it did surpass her expectations. "They have even deviated from my projected path, how frustrating."
"On the bright side, madam, look at the exact location they are headed towards." said Chloe. "I just can't think of losing to heroes again like last time!"
"Perhaps, if the next batch will be more competent than the previous ones. If they fail, Let Captain Chantal Dubois finish the job. She has a perfect track record in handling animals, so this shall be no problem for her…" Lila Rossi said with a smirk.
