To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You wont be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.

If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!

I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!

Shoutouts:

Weevil growled and glared at Yugi's attack. "Ah, great play Yug." said Joey.

"Wiped out Weevil's army in one move." said Tristan.

"That's my brother for you." said Paige.

"All right, you've got him on the ropes." said Tea.

"Ha, ha. Yeah right." said Mai, causing both girls to face her as she stood a ways from them.

"Mai." said Joey and Tristan.

"You losers don't realize who your little pal is up against." said Mai. "Weevil's regional champion. He's got moves that your shrimp couldn't even dream up."

"Oh…that Mai. She's always butting in with her big mouth." thought Tea. "Well, I'm not gonna let her trash my friends."

Tea and Paige both had an angry look on their faces. "Nobody asked you so why you don't just take a hike!" said Tea.

"And while you're at it, don't you dare call my brother a shrimp!" shouted Paige, causing everyone to look at the young girl, who's fists were curled in a ball. "He is worth more than 10 of you, Mai!"

"And miss the chance to watch a champion like Weevil as he turns this around? No way." said Mai.

"Yeah. I mean, Weevil really came from behind to win the regionals." said Joey.

"He's tough and sneaky." added Tristan.

"Who's side are you two goofballs on, anyway?" asked Tea.

"Yeah!" shouted Paige.

"THAT'S ENOUGH, Paige!" shouted Yugi.

"But she called you a…" she started to say as she pointed to Mai.

"Mai is entitled to her opinion."

"Hmph." said Paige, crossing her arms.

"All I'm saying is for Yugi, this is his first official duel." said Joey.

"And he's fighting a champ." said Tristan just as Tea and Paige glared at Mai.

"Mai, you troublemaker. You think you know so much but Yugi will show you." Tea thought.

"You may have flatten my army of bugs, Yugi, but you haven't won." threatened Weevil. "I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve."

"You've done an awful lot of buzzing throughout this whole duel, Weevil. But I'm still here, waiting for the sting." said Yugi.

"Since you're new to this whole dueling tournament thing, I'll try to make this simple for you." Weevil said as he looks down at his cards. "I'm gonna wipe that goofy grin from your face. Now let's see what lucky bug will take the first bite?"

Weevil picks out a bug card from his hand. "Oh, but this little bug won't stand a chance against all your ferocious monsters. Oh well." he said, placing the card on the field, face down. "I'll place him in defense mode."

"That would have been a nice bluff, but I still haven't forgotten about the trap card you played." said Yugi.

[Flashback]

"With this trap card, he will be able to attack me with any of their monsters." said Weevil.

[Flashback ends]

"He didn't trap me then and he's not going to trap me now." thought Yugi, as he looks at the field and then at his hand. "Weevil's trap card will activate as soon as I call an attack and it'll destroy all the monsters that I have on the field. But what if I get my monsters off the field first and then destroy Weevil's trap. That's it! I'll spring your trap Weevil, but first, the monster recovery card."

Yugi places the card on the field. "It allows me to call back all the creatures I have on the field. Monsters, return to your cards!" said Yugi and the monsters that were on the field returned to his deck. "Now your trap has nothing to snare and once my monsters are safely back in my deck, the recovery card lets me draw a new hand."

Yugi then starts to shuffle his deck. "Now all I have to do is sacrifice one of my weaker monsters and your trap is sprung. Kuriboh, attack!" said Yugi, placing a brown-haired monster with purple eyes and green hands onto the field with an attack power of 300.

Weevil was surprised. "No!" he shouted as a centipede monster appeared on the field and attacks Kuriboh.

"Trap cards only work when they catch you by surprise." said Yugi as his life points went down to 1,050. "Next time, don't give your plan away."

Weevil started chuckling then started laughing hysterically, causing Yugi to have a confused look on his face. "I didn't!" Weevil exclaimed. "I don't give a bee's knees about that stupid trap." Yugi gasped as Weevil said that.

"I tricked you into recalling your monsters so you couldn't attack this!" shouted Weevil as he turns over his face down bug card, increasing its attack points to 650.

"It's just a simple larva moth." thought Yugi. "That tiny creature can't be much of a threat. What's Weevil up to now."

"Sure, he's a little slug now but the cocoon of evolution will change all that." Weevil said, chuckling.

"What?"

"Isn't it beautiful?" asked Weevil as the Larvae Moth surrounded itself in its webbing, causing Yugi to be grossed out.

"Ew, that's just gross." said Tea.

"I may never look at a moth again." said Paige.

"Weevil's bug is sealing itself in a cocoon." said Joey.

"I told those chumps Weevil would turn this duel around." thought Mai.

"Behold my cocoon of evolution!" Weevil exclaimed and started laughing hysterically. "Within that cocoon, sits my tiny little larvae moth and over the next five turns, it will undergo a startling transformation. From harmless caterpillar to unstoppable great moth!"

"Then I'll trap your cocoon before that happens." said Yugi.

"Easier said than done, Yugi. My cocoon of evolution also gets a field power bonus from the wilderness around us, increasing its defense points." said Weevil as the defense points of the cocoon went up to 2,600. "It'll be so strong; you won't even be able to scratch its surface! Just five more turns Yugi. In five turns, my great moth will fully evolve and finish you off."

"If what Weevil said is true, I better act fast." thought Yugi. "That thing's getting bigger and stronger with each passing second. I have to find a way to break open that cocoon now. I can't let that moth get to its fifth stage of evolution. Do I have a card that's strong enough to stop it?"

"Gaia, the fierce Knight!" shouted Yugi, placing a knight and horse monster card onto the field with an attack power of 2,300. Gaia takes off towards the cocoon. "Shatter that cocoon!" Yugi ordered and Gaia makes its mark.

"Ah! The field power bonus makes it too strong!" exclaimed Joey.

"That's one turn down. Care to try again?" said Weevil as Gaia's sword didn't make a dent in the cocoon.

"Weevil's cocoon is going to be tough to crack, and for each attack that fails, my life points go down." thought Yugi as his life points went down to 750.

"Oh no." said Tea.

"Hang tough, Yugi." said Joey. "You'll pop that pus bag."

Mai started laughing, causing Paige and Tea to look over at her. "Just what do you think you're laughing at?" asked Tea.

"All that stupid cheerleading you're doing. You make it sound like your Yugi still has a chance." said Mai.

"Of course he does!" said Tea.

"My brother will always have a chance at something!" said Paige as she and Tea get in Mai's personal space.

"Don't listen to her, Tea, Paige." said Joey as he and Tristan grabbed both of them, holding them back from pummeling Mai.

"Any duelist that's ever gone up against Weevil's cocoon of evolution has been totally trashed." said Mai.

"All of them?" asked Tristan and Joey.

"But…Yugi's got us to help him beat it." Tea tells Mai.

"Huh! He'll need a whole lot more than you losers." thought Mai.

"Hear it growing?" asked Weevil. "The more time you waste, the more powerful it becomes."

"If I don't come up with something quick, I'm not just going to lose this duel, I'll lose my only chance to save my grandpa." thought Yugi. "There's no way I can let that happen."

"Tick tock, tick tock." said Weevil as he draws a card from his deck. "just four more turns until my ultimate insect emerges and you can stop worrying about how you are going to destroy it and start worrying about how that's going to destroy you!"

"Maybe I should prepare a defense in case I really can't stop that thing." thought Yugi as he places a card face down in defense mode.

"Heh! You're wasting your turn. No defense will save your life points once my moth is out." said Weevil.

"I have to figure out how to turn this duel around." thought Yugi. "Weevil's pretty confident that whatever's growing in that cocoon is unbeatable. But there's got to be some way to pop that thing open and wipe that smirk off his face. But how?"

"Hang in there, Yugi." said Tea.

"You gotta win this for your grandpa!" shouted Joey. "He's counting on ya!"

"I know he is." replied Yugi.

"Then you can't let this little creep push you around. Yugi, you gotta get fired up." Joey said, unknowingly giving Yugi an idea.

"Wait, that's it! Get fired up." Yugi thought.

"So, do you guys sit around and work up with these lame cheers or do they just come to you?" Mai asked. "I mean, don't you realize that your pep talk nonsense only distracts Yugi from the game."

"How would you know? I bet no one's ever wanted to be your friend." said Tea. "Let alone to cheer you on."

"I think she has no friends." Paige said in agreement.

"Friends haven't helped Yugi any, he's losing." said Mai.

"Excuse me?" asked Paige, glaring at her. "I'm more than just his friend. I'm his one and only favorite sister."

"Even siblings haven't helped your brother." Mai said smugly.

"Why I outta…" said Paige but was held back by Tristan. Mai smirks at the young Muto before looking up at Yugi. "Huh?" she said as he gave them a thumbs up.

"Yeah."

"All right!"

"Well Mai, by the look on Yugi's face, I'd say that having friends and siblings just did help him out. So there." said Tea.

"You got that right, Tea." said Paige.

"Brats. What possible idea could Yugi have gotten from these mental morons." thought Mai.

"GO CURSE OF DRAGON! TAKE FLIGHT!" bellowed Yugi as he places Curse of Dragon onto the field with an attack strength of 2,000. "And I'll combine it with this magic card. Attack with dragon flame!"

Curse of Dragon attacks the cocoon of evolution with its flame, burning it. "What do you think you're doing?" growled Weevil. "You know your little fire fly can't hurt my cocoon."

Yugi starts laughing at Weevil. "What's so funny?" he asked.

"Whoever said I was aiming for your cocoon?" Yugi replied and placed a magic card on the field. "I combined my burning land card with my Curse of Dragon to destroy the forest all around your cocoon."

Weevil looks down at his side of the field and sees the brunt ground. "No forest? That mean I lose my field power bonus!" Weevil said, freaking out.

"Exactly. Your cocoon was too tough to attack directly, but without its field power bonus, it's just a big target." explained Yugi as the cocoon of evolution's attack power decreased to 2,000. "Now, let's try this again. Gaia, the fierce knight, attack!"

Gaia attacks the cocoon of evolution again, striking it in the middle. "He did it!" exclaimed Paige and Tea.

"Popped it like a zit!" said Joey, punching his fist in the air. Weevil started smiling and laughed. Out on the field, the cocoon of evolution had a hole in it, a squishing sound was heard and was exposing a green flesh of some sort.

"Is it still alive?" asked Tea.

"I've got a bad feeling that we're about to find out." said Joey.

"See anything?" asked Tea as smoke came from the cocoon.

"It's still…still movin'." said Joey as they all looked at the cocoon.

"You're surprised?" Mai asked sarcastically.

Yugi gasped as a giant green moth appeared out of the cocoon. "Okay, I officially hate bugs now." said Paige.

"It must have evolved enough to survive." said Joey.

"I told you Weevil was good." said Mai.

"I'm impressed that you pierced my cocoon, Yugi." said Weevil as the moth (ATK: 2,600) opened its wings. "But you were unable to stop the evolution of my ultimate insect, the great moth!"

"But I thought it took five turns." wondered Yugi.

"So you stopped him one turn early. He's still strong enough to beat you." said Weevil.

"Oh no." said Tea.

"Ha! I noticed the little dweebs aren't cheering now." thought Mai. "The Great Moth is an unbeatable creature. They can chatter from the sidelines all they want, but it won't help Yugi one bit."

"You know, I wouldn't count on Weevil beating my brother." said Paige, crossing her arms. "He has this in the bag, I know he does."

"Weevil turned this around once more." thought Yugi. "But I'm not giving up."

"So Yugi, feeling out classed yet?" asked Weevil. "Or perhaps you're enjoying your first major-league dueling loss. Heh heh…"

"You may have gotten your prized monster onto the field, Weevil. But I'll still find a way to squash that oversized bug." said Yugi.

"You'll pay for that stinking jab with your life points." declared Weevil.

"Duel!" shouted Yugi.

"Great Moth, take flight!" ordered Weevil and his insect was in the air.

"So be it. We'll settle this in the skies!" Yugi tells him and Curse of Dragon went into the sky.

"Yugi's dragon is no match for my great moth." Weevil thought. "And none of his land monsters have the ability to attack me in the air. But which puny creature shall I obliterate first?"

Weevil decided immediately. "I think it's high time I pay back your knight for demolishing my cocoon." Weevil said to Yugi.

"My knight. He's the heart of my attack force. There's no way I can afford to lose him." thought Yugi.

"This is it, Yugi. My Great Moth will crush your defenses, slay your knight and blast your dragon from the sky!" Weevil shouted.

"Not if I can help it, Weevil." said Yugi, placing a card on the field.

"But that's just it, you can't help it." Weevil said. "Moth, Hurricane Attack!"

Hurricane spouts out from the Great Moth's wings and was aimed at Yugi's faced down card. "No! My Beaver Warrior!" exclaimed Yugi. "My defense."

"It's hopeless. Nothing can stand against the gale-force winds of my moth hurricane." said Weevil as the attack continues. "Your knight will be totally blown away. That'll teach 'em to mess with my cocoon!"

"Don't count on it." said Yugi.

"Huh?"

"Weevil, you were so busy fawning over your moth, you didn't notice I played a Polymerization card." He tells the bug boy.

"But…I thought…" Weevil spluttered.

"If I have 2 compatible monsters on the field, I can use my Polymerization card and fused them into one ultimate creature."

"I'm not some beginner. I know what fusion does." said Weevil.

"Then you must know it increases my attack points." said Yugi. "My fused Dragon/Knight combo is now powerful enough to go head-to-head with your great moth."

Weevil starts laughing at Yugi. "I wouldn't be so sure about that." Weevil tells him. "Look again."

"What? No." said Yugi as he watches his dragon knight combo lose attack points. In the air was yellow particles. "My knight…he's losing points. And fast. But how? And why?"

"Heh heh heh heh. Its poison, Yugi." said Weevil. "Poison particles from my Great Moth. Each time it uses its Hurricane attack, it releases tons of these tiny toxic particles. And your precious dragon knight combo is being poisoned by their deadly touch."

"My knight is losing points with each passing second." thought Yugi as he watches steam come off his knight by the poison. "How do I protect him against the very air itself?"

"Looks to me like my poison particles are taking their toll, Yugi." said Weevil.

"Oh, no. My knight's really in serious trouble." Yugi thought as he looks down at the cards in his hand. "And there's nothing here in my hand that can help him. But I know my grandpa's deck won't let me down."

Yugi drew another card from his deck. "Yes! Ready to be rained out, Weevil?" he asked and places a spell card onto the field. "Makiu, the magical mist!"

"No! My poison!" screeched Weevil as the mist falls in the air. "You're washing it all away!"

"That's right. Magical mist washes the field clean." said Yugi.

"No fair. I was about to win, and you save yourself with a little drizzle?!" said Weevil.

"It's true. I saved my knight, but that's not all I did." thought Yugi.

"All right then. you may have stopped my poison attack, but I promise you've only won a brief reprieve, because my next move is one you won't be able to think your way out of!" shouted Weevil. "Brace yourself for my ultimate insect's ultimate attack! Great Moth, Tornado of Doom!"

The Great Moth shoots a gust of wind through its legs at Gaia. "A direct hit." Weevil said, laughing and leans forward. "Your little rainstorm didn't save you from that one now, didn't it? Your knight is toast. And you're almost out of life points."

Yugi's life points went down to 50. "Yugi, keep fightin'." said Joey. "You can come back from this."

"You're all delusional." said Mai.

"No. Joey's right." said Tea, looking at the blond girl. "Yugi never gives up, and we never give up on him."

"You're nuts." said Mai. "Weevil has totally annihilated Yugi's strongest monster combo. He's down to 50 measly life points. He can't win, so do me a favor and stop yapping."

"We're not nuts and he can win." said Paige, not taking her eyes off her brother. "My brother is my inspiration for me to become a good duelist like him."

"She's right. We won't stop yapping, you selfish, pompous, bleach-blonde, know-it-all windbag." said Tea. "Do us a favor and get lost. Right, Joey?"

"You said it." replied Joey. "Just ignore her, Tea. Yugi's in trouble."

"I know. What can we do?" she asked.

"I don't know, but it'd be great if we can trade Mai in for life points." he tells her.

"That's a great idea, Joey." said Paige. "But how would we do that?"

"Ha ha! I wish!" said Tea.

"I told you all along Yugi never had a chance at winning this thing." said Mai, causing Tea and Paige to groan. "He wastes too much of his time listening to you losers. Weevil keeps his mind on the game."

"Then why didn't he see this coming?" asked Tristan, causing them to look at Yugi.

"See what coming?" they asked.

"Whatever it is Yugi's grinning about." said Tristan.

"Uh…" said Mai.

"You're right. He's got a big smile." Joey said as they saw a huge smile on his face.

"Uh, he's not smiling. I think he's laughing." said Tea.

"He's laughing alright." said Paige.

"No way." said Mai as Yugi started laughing.

"Hey, hey! What are you so happy about?" asked Weevil. "Stop that snickering!"

"Weevil I know it will be very difficult for you to accept losing a duel…" said Yugi as Weevil started to groan a bit. "Especially after spending so much time finding inventive ways to cheat. But if you thought bending the rules would help you win this match, you're wrong."

"No! This is a trick!" screamed Weevil.

"You play dishonestly, so you expect the same of your opponents." said Yugi. "But I duel with honor, Weevil, and that makes all the difference."

"You've got nothing!" Weevil said, his eyes going big.

"Here's what I've got." said Yugi. "The Mighty Summoned Skull!"

He places Summoned Skull onto the field and purple clouds appeared on the field, causing the skeleton monster (ATK: 2,500) to rise up. "Whoa, what's that?" asked Mai.

"This is it, Weevil. Your ultimate insect won't withstand my next attack." said Yugi.

"Ha! Yugi must be losing it." thought Weevil. "His Summoned Skull is strong, but my Great moth is stronger still. If he's foolish enough to attack, my monster will most certainly squish his monster, and wipe out the rest of Yugi's precious life points as well."

"There's something you've overlooked, Weevil…" said Yugi once he stopped laughing. "My magical mist is still dampening this entire field."

Both Weevil and Mai gasped when he said this. "He's right!" Weevil shrieked as he looks out onto the field, then at his moth. "Everything's wet. My Great Moth is totally soaked."

"And my Summoned Skull attacks with electricity, making your waterlogged bug a giant-sized lightning rod." explained Yugi. "I hope you're in the mood for some fireworks, Weevil, because all this water, boosts my monster's electrical attack by 1,000 points. Summoned Skull, Lightning Strike!"

Lightning surrounded Summoned Skull and came out from its body, aiming at the Great Moth. The Great Moth groaned in pain and is destroyed on the field. "It's over. I've won." said Yugi.

"NO! Impossible! My Moth's unbeatable!" screamed Weevil as his life points dropped to zero.

"All right, Yugi!" cheered Joey.

"Way to go!" said Tristan.

"Go Yugi!" said Paige.

"He won! I knew you would." said Tea.

"Impressive." said Mai. "I didn't think Yugi could ever beat Weevil."

Weevil was on the ground next to the dueling arena. "Uh…Uh…But I'm the regional champion." Weevil said to them. "The regional champion!"

"You call yourself a champion, Weevil, but you only won your duels through lying and cheating." said Yugi. "True champions…they play with honor. They play fair."

"Aw, don't waste your breath on this sneaky slug." said Joey. "He's a dueling disgrace. And I hereby relieve him of his dueling gauntlet."

"There…3-star chips so far." said Yugi as he places them on his gauntlet. "But I still need to win 7 more. 10-star chips will gain me entry into that castle, where they're holding my grandfather prisoner. And where I'll battle Pegasus once and for all."

"Before we go and get more star chips, I have a score to settle with Bug boy." said Paige, looking over at Weevil. She walks over to him as he lays on the ground. "AAH!" screamed Weevil as Paige hits him hard on the head.

"That's what you get for throwing Exodia into the ocean!" said Paige as Weevil whimpers in pain.

"Never a dull moment with Paige." said Yugi.

"You said it." said Tea.
