To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes she will. You wont be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.

If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!

I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!

"Your horned freaks may have won control of the field, but now it's time to see if you can hold it." said Rex as he places a card face down on his side of the field. "Trakadon!"

"Battle Guard, give that card a bashing!" said Joey and the Lava Battle Guard strikes Trakadon, destroying it on the field.

"Whoa! Look at them glow!" said Tristan. "Those guys are some kind of tag team."

"Cool!" said Paige.

"Wow! You're right about that." said Yugi. "The power bonus they gain from both being on the field at the same time makes them a tough duo to beat."

"No joke. And since Joey's already taken out Rex's best monster card, the rest'll be cake." said Tristan.

"You think that is Rex's best monster card?" asked Paige.

"Yeah, you got a problem with that?" asked Tristan.

"I don't, but I do know Rex well enough to know what his favorite card is in his entire deck." Paige tells him.

"Finish him, bro." said Tristan.

"Ha!"

"Huh?"

"Who said that Serpent Night Dragon Joey destroyed two turns ago was my best card?" asked Rex, drawing another card. "My supreme monster is a dragon, but of a different sort! The Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

Everyone gasped. "A what Dragon?" asked Mai as the Red Eyes Black Dragon screeched as it appears on the field with its attack power of 2400.

"Your pair of primates can power up till they're green in the face." said Rex. "They're still no match for the thrashing power of this beast."

"I can't believe it." said Paige.

"So it does exist." said Yugi. "My grandpa told us about this card. Its powers are said to rival those of the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon."

"He didn't have it in his deck when I dueled him last time." said Paige.

"It's about time Rex played a card that'll put Joey in his place." said Mai.

"And if you think those brain-dead brutes of yours will rescue each other from this dragon's rampage, think again!" said Rex, placing a spell card onto the field. "With Dragon Nails, my Red Eyes gets a power boost string enough to clobber an army of your Battleguards."

Red Eyes Black Dragon's attack instantly rose to 3000. "Red Eyes Black Dragon! Inferno Fire Blast!" shouted Rex and Red Eyes Black Dragon fired a fireball with black lightning around it at the Battleguards, destroying them on the field.

"How could he torched 'em both with just one shot?" asked Joey.

"Those who defend together are destroyed together." said Rex. "Don't tell me you thought their little clubs would be enough to save you from my dragon's wrath."

"That creep." said Tristan.

"Oh, he'll be feeling my wrath when Joey wins this duel." said Paige as Joey's life point dropped to 235.

"What will Rex get when he wins the duel?" asked Tea.

"Rex will get nothing, not even a date. Rex will be getting my wrath no matter how many duels he wins because I don't like him. Never have and never will." said Paige.

"Really?" asked Yugi.

"Yep. I'll still kicked Rex's butt, no matter how many times he'll ask me to duel or date him." said Paige.

"I would have won that last duel against you, Paige, if you hadn't played Miracle's Wake!" said Rex.

"Whatever, Rex. I'm still not going out with you, even if you were the last person on earth." said Paige.

"(Laughing) That's a good boy, Rex. Nice work." said Mai.

"Do you smell that odor in the air, Joey?" asked Rex. "It's the stench of your defeated Battleguards. Who's up next for the roast?"

"Gotta stay calm." Joey said to himself.

"Hang in there!" shouted Tristan.

"Yugi, tell me that dragon isn't as tough as it looks." said Tea. "I mean, there must be something Joey can do to stop it."

"Hmm. I wish I could answer her, because there is one last move that could save Joey from that Red Eyes." thought Yugi. "But I'm barred from giving advice in this duel. Joey's gonna have to figure out this one all by himself."

"Play every monster you got. My dragon has enough firepower to turn your entire deck into a smoldering pile of ash!" Rex tells Joey.

"Rex is right." thought Joey. "No creature I have can out-muscle that thing. Man. I guess this is where I get my butt handed to me."

"Yo, Joey!" shouted Tristan.

"Wha-"

"You may not have the monster to beat that thing, but you got the smarts." said Tristan.

"We're not giving up on you, Joey." said Yugi and Paige.

"Don't forget. Dueling is more about heart than strength." said Tea.

"Now show this lizard what you're made of." said Tristan and Joey nodded as he drew another card.

"Huh?"

"Yeah. That's it, Joey." taunted Rex. "Slap down another card for my Red Eyes to fry up. Huh? I almost forgot. Joey still has his Time Wizard out from a few turns ago. That's the card he played to clobber Mai and her Harpies. With Yugi's help, that is. Shame Joey's too much of an amateur to know how to use it himself."

"Hey, are you going to nab me that victory you promised me or are you gonna sit there with that dumb look on your face?" Mai angrily asked, shaking her fist at Rex.

"Again with the insults?" Rex thought to himself. "I can't wait to wreck that arrogant attitude of hers in our duel. Wait a minute. If I could snag Joey's Time Wizard, it would be the perfect way to shut her up. She can't win against that card."

"Oh, Joey?"

"Huh?"

"I have an idea. Let's make this duel more exciting and each put one card up for grabs with our star chips." suggested Rex. "And just so it's fair, we'll put up whatever card we have on the field. Sound good?"

"Wha…I don't have any cards on the…huh?" said Joey, then looks down on his side of the field, realizing that he did. "Oh, yeah. My Time Wizard. I forgot about that."

"And for him, I'll give you my rarest card…the Supreme Red Eyes Black Dragon!" said Rex.

"Huh?" said Joey.

"Just what do you think you're doing, you disobedient dolt?" asked Mai. "You're here to take Joey out of this tournament, not to improve your deck."

"Stay out of this." grunted Rex.

"Rex, you double-crossing snake, I know what you're scheming." said Mai.

"I'm no lousy snake." said Rex. "I'm a dinosaur, you know that."

"Mai is just now realizing this about Rex, isn't she?" asked Tea.

"Yep. It's why I turn down dates from Rex." said Paige as she and the others watch the scene unfold.

"Ha! You're no…"

"That Red Eyes Black Dragon could really help my chances at winning this tournament and gettin' its prize money for my sister." thought Joey. "But I hate to risk this Time Wizard Yugi gave me like it was some bargaining chip. Wait a minute. What am I talking about? Maybe I don't have to."

"You got a deal, Rex." said Joey. "Your Red Eyes Black Dragon and my Time Wizard…winner takes all."

"What?!" exclaimed Mai.

"Yeah!" shouted Rex.

"It's a gutsy move." said Yugi.

"I'll say." said Paige.

"Sucker. Ha." thought Rex.

"Huh. But while I'm at it, Rex, I'm making him my weapon of choice, too!" said Joey and flips over Time Wizard. "Go, Time Wizard!"

"What are you doing?" asked Rex.

"Joey just figured out the best possible move for this situation." said Yugi.

"This wouldn't be happening if you'd just obeyed my commands, Rex." said Mai.

"I hoped you packed your bags, Rex, 'cause if my Time Wizard's spin arrow lands on a time warp, you'll be on the next boat off this island." said Joey as Time Wizard appeared on the field.

"Do you really want to leave this entire duel up to a single spin?" asked Rex, gripping the sides of console. "You do know what'll happen if that arrow lands on a skull, don't you?"

"It's a risk I gotta take. Time Roulette, go!" shouted Joey and the arrow on the Time Wizard's wand starts spinning.

"What happens if the arrow lands on a skull?" asked Tea as Paige crossed her fingers.

"It'll self-destruct and take a chunk out of Joey's life points." Yugi explained.

"Oh, man. All he's got is a chunk." said Tristan.

"I can't believe this entire duel has come down to one spin." said Tea. "It's almost too nerve-wrecking to even watch."

"All we can do now is hope that arrow doesn't land on a skull." said Yugi.

"Ok. Then let's start hopin'." said Tristan.

"Time Warp, Time Warp." said Paige.

"Come on, time machine." thought Joey.

"Come on, skull." thought Rex.

"It's stopping." said Tea as the arrow slows down.

"Slowly." said Mai and the arrow lands on a time machine.

"Way to go, Joey!" shouted Yugi.

"No!" shouted Rex.

"All right. Time Warp, go!" said Joey.

"Time Magic!" said the Time Wizard and a hole in the sky appears, causing time to be warped.

"You jerk! Look what you've done." said Rex as he shielded his eyes. "The entire space time continuum is speeding out of control. Eons are passing like seconds!" Once the light had died down, Rex looks up and gets a shock by what's in front of him. "Wha…"

"He's been fossilized." said Tea.

"No. He hasn't. He's still standing." said Mai as they all looked at the now statue Red Eyes Black Dragon. "Sure, he's beginning to gray a little, but that's natural. Go on and have him attack, Rex. Go on, Rex!"

"Right. Uh, Red Eyes…go on and attack." said Rex when suddenly Red Eyes starts to crumble. "Aah! No, no, no!"

"The millions of years that Joey's Time Wizard made pass has turned Rex's dragon into a brittle shell of dust." said Yugi.

"Ya know, I'm glad you gave him Time Wizard. It actually came in handy for him." said Paige.

"(Groans) So, I guess you won my star chips, huh?" asked Rex as his life points hit zero.

"(Sighs) Wait a second." said Joey. "Not only did I win your star chips, but I won your Red Eyes, too, fair and square."

"He's right, Rex." said Paige as Rex starts crying.

"Yeah!"

"All right!"

"And he did it all by himself, too." said Yugi.

"I did it, guys. I did it!" said Joey as he lands on solid ground and runs towards the others.

"Hey, you're the man, Joey." said Tristan as he and the others ran up to him.

"Yeah, you know it." said Joey.

"Comin' right at you, man."

"Give me some skin, bro."

"Up high or down low?"

Suddenly Joey crashes into Tristan and gets knocked down. "I guess you're down low, bud." said Tristan.

"You-you shoved me." said Joey. "After everything I just went through, you go and shove me?"

"Why am I not surprised?" asked Paige.

"I don't know." said Tea.

"Yeah, well, tough tamale." said Tristan. "Now we're even for when you pushed me."

"Yeah? Don't you know that 2 wrongs don't make a right, you jerk?" said Joey.

"Should I make it 3 then?" asked Tristan.

"Bring it on." said Joey.

"Come on, guys." said Yugi. "There's no need to fight over this."

"Maybe we ought to stay out of this one." said Tea. "I think this is their bizarre way of showing each other they care."

"Oh. Ok." said Yugi. "I just hope they don't care about me that much."

"That's because it's my job to do that, Yugi." said Paige.

"That's because you're my sister, Paige." said Yugi.

"I'm your only sister, genius." said Paige, laughing as the sun finally sets in the sky.

"Boy, it sure got dark in a hurry." said Yugi.

"Yeah. Maybe we ought to set up camp somewhere." suggested Tea.

"Don't tell me you're afraid, Tea." said Tristan. "You got us protecting you and Paige."

"I can protect myself, thank you." said Paige.

"Yeah, but who's protecting you guys?" asked Tea.

"Uh, good point. Let's set up camp." said Tristan.

"Relax, guys. There's nothing in the woods but crickets and squirrels." said Joey. On a branch, an owl started hooting and the gang finally set up camp.

"And when they finally pulled over to look and see what was in the back seat of the car, it was over 20 pepperoni pizzas with double cheese and meatballs." said Tristan, finishing a ghost story.

"Oh, please. What kind of ghost story is that supposed to be?" asked Tea.

"It wasn't even that scary." said Paige.

"Aah! If I don't get some food in me, I'm gonna be turning into a ghost." Joey said in frustration.

"Those two and their stomachs, huh you two?" said Tea.

"With Tristan and Joey, you never know." said Paige.

"Hey, my meal ticket." said Joey, finding a mushroom on the ground.

"What? No!" said Tristan and grabs Joey from behind just as he was about to eat it.

"Wild mushrooms are poisonous, Joey." said Yugi.

"So do us all a favor and let him eat it." said Mai, laughing.

"Now what do you want, Mai?" asked Joey as Mai takes a bite out of a candy bar.

"Huh?" said the gang.

"That's it. You can duel me, you can insult me, but you're not eating in front of me." said Joey.

"You're that hungry, are you?" asked Mai. "Okay, then. Give me your star chips and I'll give you some food."

"Forget it." Joey tells her. "Potato chips…I mean, star chips are priceless."

"I was just kidding, Joseph. I'll be more than happy to share if you can manage to ask politely like a gentleman." said Mai.

"Right. So then you can go make fun of me for that, too?" asked Joey.

"Look. By tomorrow I'll have won entrance to the castle, so there's no point in me keeping an entire knapsack full of food." Mai explained.

"Mmm."

"Sure it would be nice not to have to duel tomorrow on an empty stomach." said Yugi.

"Exactly." said Paige.

"How do we know this isn't another trick?" asked Joey. "Give me just one good reason to trust you."

"'Cause it's either me or that poisonous mushroom." said Mai, holding the knapsack causing the others to groan.

"Look at all this stuff! Candy bars…" said Yugi as they had everything out on the ground.

"Dibs on the candy bars." said Joey.

"Potato Chips…"

"Dibs on the chips." said Tristan.

"Canned Fruit, soda."

"Dibs on the soda." said Joey.

"I'll share the canned fruit with you, Tea." said Paige.

"Thanks Paige." said Tea.

"Sorry, boys. No dibs on anything yet." said Mai. "At least not until you complete your chores. I want Yugi to go look for some firewood."

"Sure." said Yugi.

"And you two boys can go and fetch us some water." said Mai.

"You bet." said Tristan.

"If she's not slingin' insults, then she's barkin' orders." said Joey, holding a bucket as Tristan pushes him.

"I'm willing to swallow my pride if it means swallowing some food." said Tristan.

"I'll go and gather us that firewood." said Yugi.

"Ok." said Tea and Paige.

"What are your names? Tea and Paige, isn't it?" asked Mai.

"Mm-hmm."

"Well, girls, if the two of you want to freshen up a bit, there's a makeshift shower just over there." said Mai, pointing her head over to some trees.

"Finally! I can get some of this dirt off." said Paige, with her arms over her head.

"Uh, thanks Mai." said Tea.

"Hanging with those boys is no reason not to smell like them." said Mai as Paige starts rummaging through her backpack, humming to herself.

"Joey, I don't think we should cook the candy bars." said Yugi, once the fire was going.

"Back off, I know what I'm doing." said Joey. Not far from them, Mai and Paige, who went first, were guarding Tea.

"Mai sure is a hard gal to read. One minute she's starting trouble with us, and the next we're sharing a campfire." thought Tea.

"Look at you go, Joey. Only thing missing is a chef's hat and a cute apron." said Mai, causing Paige to giggle.

"Jeez." said Joey. "All right already."

"Now keep cooking."

"You're tough, Mai." said Tea.

"Us gals have got to look out for each other, especially with a bunch of bozos like them around." said Mai. "I don't see why either of you even bother hanging out with them."

"That's easy, Mai. They're my best friends." said Tea.

"Those goofballs? In my experience, their type is only good for moving furniture or fixing cars." said Mai.

"I'm with Tea on this, except that I'm related to one of them." said Paige.

"I don't know how you do it, Paige." said Mai.

"I don't know either but I love Yugi as much as the next person." said Paige. "And that's because he's my brother."

"Hey, Mai?" asked Tea, when she suddenly screamed.

"What's wrong?" asked Mai as she entered the makeshift shower.

"I heard something moving around right outside." Tea tells her. Mai takes a look around before turning back to Tea.

"Well, it's gone now." said Mai.

"Wow. It sure smells good." said Tristan.

"Time to dig in!" they shouted.

"Tasty." said Tristan.

"Hey, thank you very much." said Joey.

"Not bad. How's yours, Tea?" asked Yugi, seeing a smile from Paige.

"Mmm. 4 stars." she replied.

"Speaking of stars, I hear you've won a few Mai." said Yugi. "How many do you have, 8? Or is it, 9? However many it is, it sure sounds like you're in the zone."

"Ha. Don't think you're gonna fool me with your nice guy routine, Yugi." said Mai.

"What nice guy routine? All my brother did was asking a simple question." said Paige and Mai ignores her.

"It's only a matter of time before you…"

"Can't we just forget about the tournament for one night?" asked Tea.

"Let's make fun of Joey instead." suggested Tristan. "That's always fun."

"Ok, just as long as everyone is crystal clear about one little thing…" said Mai. "any duelist in my way is going down."

"Huh?"

"Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go for a walk." Mai said, standing up and walked off.

"Huh?"

"Oh man. She can really ruin a meal." said Joey. Mai stood a ways from them, looking out into the ocean.

"I should never have sat down with those losers, even if they do seem like kind of nice losers." thought Mai. "And friendly. And…no. I can't afford to go soft now. I'm a duelist first, and that means everyone is an enemy."

"So no friends for me. I want to win and I'll do it all alone." Mai then said to herself. What she didn't know was that someone stood behind her and grabs Mai from behind.

"Man, oh man." said Joey, stretching. "I'm fadin' fast here."

"Don't you think we should on Mai?" asked Tea.

"Good idea." said Yugi.

"I like that idea." said Paige.

"She has been gone for a while." said Tristan.

"It's probably some trap." said Joey. Suddenly there was rustling in the bushes behind Tea and Paige.

"Aah!"

"What was that?" asked Yugi as Paige grabs ahold of her brother.

"Yep. Bet you she's been waiting there the whole time." said Joey as he and Tristan watched the bushes. "Come on out, Mai!" Proving Joey wrong, coming out of the bushes was Bakura. "It's Bakura." said Yugi.

"See? I told you." said Tea. "I haven't been seeing things."

"What are you doing way out here, Bakura?" asked Joey.

"Other than scaring us to death." added Paige.

"Same as you guys, I guess." said Bakura.

"You gave us a scare, sneaking around those bushes." said Tristan.

"Yeah. For a minute there, we actually thought we had something to worry about." said Joey, chuckling a bit. "Heh-heh. Pretty silly, huh?"

"Joey, you've been staring at that card for, like, an hour." said Tristan as they sat down around the fire. "What's up?"

"I'll tell you. Just don't laugh." said Joey. "Sometimes, when I'm in a duel, I pretend that it's me out there on the field swapping blows with whatever card my opponent has out. Isn't that dumb?"

"Well, if you were, which card would you want to be, Joey?" asked Bakura.

"Uh…this one." said Joey, holding up the Flame Swordsman. "The Flame Swordsman kicks everybody's butt. Ha."

"Not mine, guys." said Tristan and holds up his card of a man with weapons. "The Cyber Commander."

"You boys and your cards are hilarious." said Tea.

"I think everyone has a card they can identify with." said Yugi. "You should see if you can pick one for yourself, Tea."

"Ok. I pick this one, the Magician of Faith." said Tea, showing the others a girl in magician's clothing and holding a staff.

"What? You gotta be kidding me." said Tristan.

"More like the Magician of Freaks if you ask me." said Joey.

"Shut up!" said Tea.

"Tell me which one you identify with, Yugi and Paige." said Bakura.

"Oh, that's easy." said Yugi and holds up the Dark Magician. "The Dark Magician, hands down."

"Athena, no doubt." said Paige, holding up her card of a woman, holding a shield and staff.

"Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but don't you guys think it's a little silly to be comparing ourselves to playing cards?" asked Tea.

"Maybe a little, but it's like Grandpa says: 'It's not about the playing cards, it's about putting a little bit of your heart into everything that you care about.' You know?" said Yugi and the others nodded their heads in agreement. "So, which card do you care about most, Bakura?"

"This one is my favorite." said Bakura, showing them a card of a woman with wings holding a heart in her hands.

"Isn't that the Change of Heart card?" asked Yugi.

"Kind of a weird lookin' picture, don't ya think?" asked Joey.

"Hmm. If you want to see how it works, we can have a duel right now." said Bakura. "Not for star chips, just for a little fun."

"Sure. I'm down with that." said Joey. "After all this star chip stuff, it'll be nice to have a duel with no strings attached."

"I agree." said Yugi. "I think just a regular old duel sounds like a great idea."

"Me too." said Paige.

"Why don't you guys each put your favorite card into Yugi's deck, so it'll be like we're all playing." said Bakura.

"That's a good idea." said Joey.

"Yeah." said Tristan.

"Great. But I should warn you that with this all-star team of cards, we'll be tough to beat." said Yugi.

"You better take care of my card, Yugi." said Paige, handing her brother the card.

"I'll treat it just like if it was my own." said Yugi.

"You better." Paige tells him.

"True, but maybe I'll surprise you." said Bakura.

"This'll be fun." said Tea as she, Tristan and Joey hand their cards to Yugi.

"All right. I'm all shuffled." said Yugi as they used a tree stump for their arena.

"Now you're sure you don't mind playing alone?" asked Tea.

"Don't you worry about a thing, Bakura. We'll go easy on you." said Joey.

"Thanks." Bakura tells him.

"Right. Now let's get this duel on the road." commented Joey.

"Before we get started, there's a little something I'd like to share with you all." said Bakura.

"Huh?" said Tristan and Paige grabs a hold of Yugi.

"And especially with you, Yugi." said Bakura.

"What's that?" asked Joey.

"You'll see."

"What's he doing?" Tea asked Yugi and Paige.

"I don't know but I don't like the tone of his voice." said Paige.

"This is gettin' freaky." said Joey as a ring on a chain with an eye in the middle comes out of Bakura's shirt.

"No, it can't be!" exclaimed Yugi. "A millenium item."

"Yes, and the magic of my millenium ring will take us to the shadow realm." said Bakura, his voice was dark.

"Man, I hate magic." said Joey.

"I hate the dark." said Paige.

"Why are you doing this, Bakura?" asked Yugi.

"You've have something I want, Yugi, and I aim to take it!" said Bakura and a light comes out of the millenium ring, separating the others from their bodies.

"Whoa!" they shouted and went into Yugi's deck. Bakura laughs as their bodies fall to the ground.

"That wasn't too difficult." said Bakura and walks over to Yugi. "Their souls have been locked away. And now, after waiting for countless centuries, the legendary millenium puzzle is mine."

Suddenly the light from the puzzle comes out, causing Bakura to shield his eyes. In his place, Yami takes over Yugi's body. "No, it can't be." said Bakura.

"You want my millenium puzzle?" asked Yami, standing up. "Then you're going to have to duel me for it. But if I win, you'll release my friends, my sister and send us all back."

"Ha-ha. I agree to your ridiculous terms, Yugi." said Bakura. "But I promise you, there is more at stake here than you comprehend. And this is one shadow game that you cannot win!"
