To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes she will. You wont be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.

If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!

I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!

"Bakura, what have you done?" asked Yami as they were in the shadow realm. "Why have you taken us to the shadow realm?"

"(Chuckles) Bakura?" asked the Yami-Bakura. "Bakura's no longer here."

"If you're not Bakura, then who are you?" asked Yami.

"I am a thief, and a stealer of souls, and I have done terrible things in my quest to possess the Millenium items." said Yami-Bakura. "You do remember the legends, don't you? 'whosoever wields all 7 Millenium items will possess power unimaginable.' And before I'm done with you, your millenium puzzle will be mine."

"That's not going to happen, whoever you are!" Yami exclaimed.

"Then let the shadow game begin." said Yami-Bakura, each of them drawing their hand. "The first move is yours."

"And my first card: the Cyber Commander. Tristan's favorite." said Yami as he places Tristan's card onto the field. Just then Tristan appears on the field, dressed like his card.

"Tristan?" Yami asked in confusion.

"Huh? What a weird dream." said Tristan, then looks around. "Huh? Where am I? What's going on here?"

Tristan finally turns around to see Yami taking Yugi's place. "Aah!"

"Bakura must have used his millenium ring to capture Tristan's soul within his favorite card." said Yami.

"Heh-heh-heh. Who's your little friend, Yugi?" asked Yami-Bakura. "He looks pretty tough, but can he deal with this?"

Yami-Bakura places down a card of a man with a cape. "The White Magical Hat." he said. "Attack."

The White Magical Hat appeared behind Tristan. "Oh, man!" said Tristan, turning around as the White Magical Hat lunges at him. "I must still be dreaming! Yeah, that's it. This is all just a really bad…."

Soon enough, Tristan gets punched in his stomach and disappears. "No! Tristan!" shouted Yami. Yami-Bakura laughs at his misfortune. "Looks like that card's been defeated and your poor friend's soul was trapped within it." he said to Yami.

"Where is he?" asked Yami. "What have you done with Tristan?"

"Your friend is gone on his way to the discard pile, or the graveyard, as we call it in duel monsters." said Yami-Bakura.

"It can't be." said Yami. "Tristan can't be gone!"

In the Shadow Realm, Tristan was surrounded by graves. "Man, this place is creepin' me out big time." said Tristan. "But how'd I get here? I remember being attacked, and the next thing I know I'm wandering around this graveyard."

Suddenly, Tristan stumbles up a grave. "Huh? What's this?" he asked, walking up and rubbing away the dirt to reveal the name on the stone. Soon as the dirt was gone, the gravestone reveals his name. "No! According to this tombstone, I'm dead!" shouted Tristan. "But this can't be!"

Yami growled as he glared at Yami-Bakura. "When you duel in the shadow realm, the stakes are always higher, Yugi." said Yami-Bakura. "You made a sloppy move, and now your friend, he paid for it with his very soul. Now which of your friends will you sacrifice next?"

"I'd avoid using the ones that have my friends and sister's souls trapped in them if I could, but to save my friends and Paige, I have to win." thought Yugi. "And I only have one card that can beat his White Magical Hat. Joey's favorite card: the Flame Swordsman!"

Once Yami placed the card on the field, Joey's soul appears, dressed in the Flame Swordsman's outfit. "Hey? What gives? Hey, Yugi…" said Joey and turns around to see Yami staring down at him. "AAH! What da…you're a giant! Oh man, I finally cracked."

"Joey, listen to me." Yami said to Joey. "Your soul has been sealed inside your favorite card. You've become the Flame Swordsman."

"I'm the who?" exclaimed Joey.

"If I don't win this duel, we can't restore you to normal." explained Yami. "But if your defeated in this battle, you'll be carried off to the card graveyard just like Tristan was."

"Graveyard?!" asked a panic Joey.

"In order for me to win this duel, restore you all back to your bodies and get us out of the shadow realm, I'm going to need your help." said Yami.

"You want my help; you got my help." said Joey.

"Are you sure you're okay?" asked Yami.

"Ok? I figure I've lost my mind, but I'm gonna go with it." said Joey. "Now who wants a beating, eh?" Suddenly Joey freaks out and sees a giant Bakura.

"Giant Bakura?! Now I know I'm nuts." said Joey. "I'm like 6 inches tall, wearin' a dress, about to fight my giant friend?"

"That's not really Bakura." said Yami. "An evil spirit from his millenium ring has taken him over."

"Well…I have no idea what you're talkin' about, so here goes nothin'." said Joey, running towards the Magical White Hat and destroys it. "Say good bye to the cat in the hat."

Yami-Bakura's life points drop to 1,200. "Whoa, man. I did it Yugi." said Joey. "Now what?"

"Now it's his turn." said Yami as Yami-Bakura growls at them.

"Your little Swordsman got lucky last time, Yugi." said Yami-Bakura, drawing another card and places down another. "But not this time!" Yami-Bakura places the card face down in defense mode.

"Huh? Why'd he play that face down?" Yami asked himself.

"'Cause he's afraid of what Joey da Swordsman'll do to it." said Joey with his sword drawn out.

"Hang on, Joey. It could be a trap." said Yami.

"I'm going in." said Joey.

"Wait!" shouted Yami but he was too late. Joey had ran toward Yami-Bakura's face down card, only for it to reveal a one eye monster.

"Hasan Chop!" shouted Joey as he slices through the monster. "Ta-da."

"What a dolt." said Yami-Bakura.

"It was a Morphing Jar." exclaimed Yami.

"Huh? A Morphing Jar?" asked Joey. "Did I screw up?"

"When a Morphing Jar is attacked, all cards in both players' hands go to the graveyard!" explained Yami. "We're just really lucky that I didn't have Tea's or Paige's soul cards in my hand right now."

"Whoa. Sorry, Yuge." said Joey as he got down on his knees. Yami draws another hand from his deck and gasps.

"The Dark Magician!" thought Yugi. "He's my favorite card! But is it also my soul-card? What happens when I play it?"

"(Chuckles) With a new hand, comes a new perspective." said Yami-Bakura, placing another face down card in defense mode, then another one in attack mode. "The game…ever shifting…new dangers surround every turn."

"He's trying to freak me out, but I can't figure out what he's up to. I'm just going to have to risk playing…" thought Yugi. "The Dark Magician!"

Suddenly Yugi appears on the field wearing the Dark Magician's clothing. "Huh?" said Yugi.

"And I'll play a magic card that lets me revive monsters from the graveyard." said Yami and places a magic card, showing a sword. "Reborn the monster!"

Just then, Tristan was back on the field. "Huh? What the…?" said Tristan seeing that he was back in the shadow realm. "Joey? Yugi? You guys dreamin' this too?"

"Nah, this aint no dream, Tristan." said Joey. "This is just me going insane. S'all one big delusion."

"Huh?"

"But just one second ago, I was up there." said Yugi.

"Yeah. If you're down here, who's that up there?" asked Tristan as they looked up at Yami.

"I don't know." said Yugi.

"Don't you?" asked Yami.

"Well, I have noticed that sometimes, when I duel, it feels as if someone is guiding me." said Yugi and Yami nodded. "And sometimes it's like I can hear a strong voice calling out to me from my millenium puzzle, an ancient, powerful voice."

"Huh?"

"Really?"

"I'm not sure what it's all about, guys, but I'm pretty sure we can trust him, whoever he is." said Yugi.

"Hey, if da big guy is ok in your book, then he's ok by me." said Joey.

"Yeah!" said Tristan.

"So, now what?" asked Yugi.

"Maybe we should try and find Paige and Tea?" suggested Tristan.

"They must still be in the deck." said Yugi.

"Then we should try and win dis thing before their cards get played." said Joey.

"Good idea." said Yugi.

"I'm gonna bash me some Bakura!" said Joey.

"Hang on, Joey, I was just played so I have to move." said Yugi. "Dark Magic Attack!"

Aiming the Dark Magician's staff at the face down card, Yugi revealed the same card from the previous turn. "No! Another Morphing Jar!" exclaimed Yugi and Yami-Bakura laughs.

"We'll have to send all of the cards in our hands to the graveyard again." said Yami-Bakura. Yami empties his hand and draws more cards.

"I'm sorry." said Yugi.

"S'ok, man, I did the same thing." said Joey. Yami drew the next card and sees who he held next in his hand.

"No! The Magician of Faith!" Yami exclaimed, then draws another card. Soon as the last card appears in his hand, he then knew. "Athena!"

"Hmm, isn't those Paige and Tea's favorite cards?" asked Yami-Bakura. "Do you suppose their mortal souls are trapped within them? Hmm, I wonder? Maybe you should play them and find out. But, then again, you don't know what I'm laying here, so you might be putting them in danger. A dilemma, and while you decide, I'll just activate this trap card."

"No!" shouted Yami.

"Just Desserts!" said Yami-Bakura and a white shadow hand appears out of the card, grabbing Yami. "I think you'll find it will help you come grips with your present situation."

Soon as the hand let's go of Yami, his life points dropped to 500. "Just Desserts takes 500 points from each of your monsters on the field, and you'll feel like each and every point has been ripped from your beating heart." said Yami-Bakura.

"Big Yugi, are you okay?" asked Tristan.

"Yes, but one more attack like that, and it's over." said Yami.

"Whoa. That trap card just nailed Yugi's life points." said Tristan. "Maybe I should say, our life points."

"Another hit like that, and it could be over for all of us." said Yami. "Tea's and Paige's soul cards are not safe in my hand. I'll have to play them."

Yami places the Magician of Faith face down in defense mode on the field while he placed Athena in attack mode. Both girls appeared on the field wearing the outfits of their favorite cards. "Uh…Hey! What's up?" asked Tea as she appeared from under her card.

"Hey guys!" said Paige, with a smile. All three boys looked at them with weird looks on their faces. "Oh, boy." said Joey.

"Uh, guys…" said Tea.

"Stay quiet." said Joey.

"It's a little early for Halloween, don't you think?" asked Tea, then looks down at what she's holding. "What the…what's this?"

"Am I wearing a dress, holding a staff and a shield?" asked Paige, causing her brother to nod. "Figures. I'm Athena."

"Shush! Bakura and Yugi are big dueling giants, and are fighting for our souls." said Joey.

"But Yugi's right here!" said Tea.

"Yeah, well, the big guy's not really me, but he's really not me." Yugi tried to explain.

"Huh?"

"I know it's complicated, but it has something to do with the millenium items Bakura and I have." said Yugi. "It's some kind of magic."

"Magic? So I'm not crazy." said Tea.

"Not unless we're all going crazy." said Yugi.

"Just think of it this way, you two. There's two Yugi's, the cool one up there, and the puny one down here." said Joey.

"But he's my puny big brother to me." added Paige.

Paige turns and looks up to see Yami. "I can't believe my eyes. Ya know, you're more handsome than my brother." said Paige.

"Hey!" shouted Yugi.

"Don't worry, King Spiky you're always still number one in my book." said Paige as Yugi falls to the ground.

"Ah." said Yugi. "Oh, that's not how it works at all!"

"Just a joke, relax." said Joey.

"You forget that here, I have the powers of the Dark Magician." said Yugi and about to start his attack.

"Uh, Yugi, I wouldn't do that if I were…" Tristan started to say.

"I'll show you who's puny around here." said Yugi.

"Oh brother." said Paige.

"Oh boy." said Joey when a purple monster appears on the field.

"Yugi! Wait!" shouted Yami.

"Dark Magic Attack!" shouted Yugi, destroying Yami-Bakura's monster.

"All right!" said Joey.

"Great job, Yugi." said Tea.

Suddenly electricity surges through Yugi's body as he feels the aftermath of the monster he destroyed. "What? No!" Tea cried out.

"Yugi!" shouted Paige.

"What was that?" asked Tristan.

"Whatever it was, its making me go numb." said Yugi.

"Hang in there, pal." said Joey.

"Yugi!" shouted Yami.

"Ha-ha-ha. You can't attack the Electric Lizard without some rather shocking feedback." said Yami-Bakura. "A lesson your little Yugi won't soon forget."

Yami growled as he takes another card from his hand. "A trap card." he said. "Alright, soul stealer, I'll play my next card face down, and it's your move."

Yami-Bakura glances down at the field as Tristan and Joey try to hide Tea. "Don't bother, you fools." said Yami-Bakura. "I can see her perfectly well."

"Huh?!"

"Now I have all five of you right where I want you…" Yami-Bakura said evilly. "Helpless on the field, easy prey for my Man-Eater bug."

"Man-Eater Bug? Glad I'm a girl." said Tea.

"Me too." said Paige.

"Yugi, what does that card do?" asked Joey.

"The Man-Eater Bug can automatically destroy one creature on the field as soon as its flipped up." explained Yugi causing Tea to gasp.

"Well, that's certainly not good." said Tea.

"Guys, I really don't want to go back to that graveyard." said Tristan.

"Don't you worry, Tristan, none of us are going back." said Joey. "We'll destroy that bug before he plays it."

"That won't work." said Yugi.

"Huh?" said Joey.

"The moment we make an attack that card will activate." Yugi tells Joey.

"Graveyard, here I come." said Tristan.

"What are you sayin', Yuge?" asked Joey. "That one of us is gonna end up worm food?"

"I'm saying that there's only way out of this, and we're standing on it." said Yugi as they all looked at the card Yami placed face down.

"Right!" said Tristan. "The trap card Big Yugi laid down."

"Yeah, but I'm afraid to use it." said Yugi. "The card requires that we sacrifice a creature."

"You mean one of us?" asked Tea. Across the field, the Man-Eater Bug peeks out from its card.

"Don't worry, Tea. I'll go." said Tristan.

"No way, Tristan!" said Tea.

"Think about it. That Man-Eater Bug's gonna take one of us out no matter what we do." said Tristan. "At least this way, I'm taking it out, too."

"I'll go." said Paige, gripping both swords.

"No, I'm not letting you." said Yugi. "I won't let my baby sister sacrifice herself."

Just as Paige pouted for a moment, Tristan was about to sacrifice himself when Joey hits him in the stomach. "Uhh. I guess you disagree." groaned Tristan.

"You just got back from the graveyard." Joey tells Tristan. "If anyone's going, its me."

"Joey, wait!" shouted Yugi.

"It's too late!" said Tea.

"No!" shouted Paige.

"How tough could this bug be?" asked Joey as he raises his sword high and about to stab the card on the field when the bug appeared underneath him. "Big Yugi! Use the trap! Do it! Do it now! Please! I don't want my friends to get hurt. Sacrifice me!"

"I'm activating a trap, sacrificing my Flame Swordsman to do so." said Yami and flips over a card with horn that had wings. "The Horn of Heaven! Blasting its celestial tune directly at your Man-Eater Bug, obliterating him from the field once and for all!"

"But Joey!" groaned Yugi as Paige helps him up.

"What's happening to him?" asked Tea.

"He's disappearing." said Tristan.

"Don't worry about me!" shouted Joey as he and the Man-Eater Bug were destroyed on the field.

"Oh…oh."

"He's gone, just like that." said Tristan as Paige buries her face into Yugi. "My best buddy's gone."

"Heh-heh-heh-heh. Don't worry, you'll soon be joining him in the graveyard." said Yami-Bakura. "You can spend an eternity together."

In the graveyard, Joey started to feel scared. "The graveyard. Pretty creepy." said Joey. "But they got Tristan back, so maybe…huh? Aah!"

Joey turns around and sees the grim reaper. "The Reaper of Cards, and he's come for me!" exclaimed a terrified Joey. "Oh, no!"

"I hope you don't harbor any illusions about rescuing your friend Joey from the graveyard." said Yami-Bakura. "You've already played Reborn the Monster, the only way to get him back. And soon, the Reaper of Cards will claim his soul forever!"

"Poor Joey." said Tea, tears were welling up in her eyes. "He sacrificed himself."

"Stay away from me!" Joey shouted at the Reaper of Cards before tripping over a rock.

"He can't be gone." said Tea and a tear dropped from her face activated her card.

"Hmm? Tea?" asked Yugi. "Wait! She's the Magician of Faith. Tea's tear activated the magic effect of her favorite card."

"I forgot her card can do that." said Paige.

"That's right, and the effect of the Magician of Faith allows me to bring back one magic card from the discard pile and add it to my hand." said Yami and the card appeared in his hand. "And the card I choose: Reborn the Monster, which I play now!"

Just as the Reaper of Cards was about to swing his scythe, Joey disappears and reappears back on the field. "No, I don't wanna…" said Joey, cowering.

"You're not gonna die." said Paige, causing him to look up.

"Huh? What?" he asked, looking at the others.

"Joey!" shouted the others.

"You're back." said Yugi.

"All right!" said Joey.

"You waste your time and your turns rescuing these foolish mortals." said Yami-Bakura.

"My friends and my sister are never a waste of time." said Yami. "Make your move."

"Oh, I'll move, and you will lose." said Yami-Bakura, laughing. "This is the play that will end the match, and win me your millenium puzzle. First I will play the Lady of Faith in attack mode, and then the card that will turn your friends and sister against each other: the Change of Heart."

"Change of Heart?" asked Yugi.

"Uh oh." said Paige.

"Isn't that Bakura's favorite card?" Yugi asked.

"And a very magical card it is!" said Yami-Bakura. "With this card, I can turn you against your comrades. The very friends and sibling you sought to protect; you will now destroy."

"No! I refuse!" said Yugi.

"You won't have a choice in the matter!" said Yami-Bakura. "The Change of Heart allows me to control any opposing monster, and I choose you, little Yugi. Ha-ha-ha!"

Yami glares at Yami-Bakura. "Leave the young one out of this." he demanded.

"Why should I?" asked Yami-Bakura. "By simply destroying him I defeat you as well. You're here to guide and protect him? Then, protect him against this!"

Yami-Bakura throws down the Change of Heart card onto the field and light blinds the others.

"Yugi!" the others shouted and suddenly the real Bakura appears on the field. "It's Bakura!" said Joey.

"The real Bakura!" said Tea and Paige.

"Bakura! So your soul was sealed into your favorite card too." said Yugi.

"(Sighs) I want to help, but we must act quickly, Yugi." said Bakura and inhabits the Lady of Faith. "I've taken over one of his cards instead of yours."

"Huh?"

"Uhh!"

"I'll control her while you attack me. You can win against the Evil Bakura." Bakura tells him.

"I cant. I'd be destroying you, sending you to the graveyard." said Yugi.

"I don't care. It's better than being enslaved by an evil spirit." said Bakura. "Do it!"

"Be quiet!" said Yami-Bakura.

"I have a better idea." said Yami and the eye of the millenium puzzle appears on his forehead. "If the evil power of Bakura's millenium ring can pull souls from people, perhaps the power of my millenium puzzle can put them back."

As he said this, the evil spirit was pulled from Bakura's body and the real Bakura was back to his normal self. "All right! Our Bakura's back where he belongs." said Joey.

"But where's the evil dude?" asked Tristan. In front of them, taking the place of the good Bakura was Yami-Bakura.

"Uhh! This can't be!" he shouted at them.

"Listen closely, Yugi." said Yami. "Use the power of the Dark Magician. Send him to the graveyard! Now!"

"You've got it. Dark Magic Attack!" shouted Yugi, using the powers of the Dark Magician and sends Yami-Bakura to the graveyard.

"The Millenium puzzle was almost mine!" ranted Yami-Bakura when the Reaper of Cards appeared behind him, causing him to scream.

Finally out of the Shadow Realm, Yugi and Bakura were awake. "Are you okay, Bakura?" asked Yugi.

"I am now, thanks to you." said Bakura.

"Hmm. Where'd you get your Millenium ring?" asked Yugi.

"My father picked it up on one of his trips." said Bakura.

[Flashback]

Egypt

"He told me it's from ancient Egypt. I think that's where they're all from." said Bakura.

Bakura's father was walking through the bazaar and stops at one of the booths. "He was shopping in a merchant bazaar when the Millenium ring caught his eye." explained Bakura. "The man who sold the ring to my father said it had something to do with duel monsters. But that never made any sense to me since the card game is new and the ring is clearly ancient. "

Bakura's father bends down over the Millenium ring and the merchant hands him a duel monsters card.

[Flashback ends]

"When my father got back, he gave it to me. He said that he felt I was destined to have it." said Bakura.

"I just dreamt that Bakura went totally mental." said Tristan as he, Tea, Paige and Joey sat up.

"Same here." said Joey, rubbing his head. "Last time I snooze with dueling cards under my pillow."

"Sleep well, guys?" asked Bakura, smiling.

"Bakura!" shouted Tristan and Joey as they grabbed each other. "Huh?"

"Hands off!" said Tristan.

"You grabbed me!" said Joey.

"Huh? Hey!" they said in unison, letting go as the others laughed.

"I dreamt we were dressed as duel monsters, and there were 2 Yugi's." said Tea, looking over at Yugi and Bakura.

"I had the same dream too." said Paige, getting up from the ground and inspects the Millenium puzzle a little closer.

"Uh…" said Bakura when the group suddenly hears a scream.

"Huh?"

"What was that?" asked Joey.

"I don't know, but whatever it is, we'll face it together." said Yugi and they take off towards the scream.
