To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You won't be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.

I've already had my background chapter ready for Seasons 2-5. To the one who has thought that Paige should have Arkana's Dark Magician, I want you to know that you are very lucky that I have that card in my actual deck. I want everyone to know that when I write season 5 (I really do mean when I write it), how I see Atem when he enters the world of his memories, there will be a couple of major surprises. I can't tell you what those surprises will be because they are still in development and I'm bouncing around some ideas with a couple of my friends so that I can make it the best part of season 5.

If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!

I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!

Shoutouts:

Inside the cave, Crawl Dragon growled at Joey. "You've had it, duelist." said Bones. "Face it, all my monsters you thought you killed have risen from the grave as invincible zombies that can't be destroyed. And as zombies, they all gain a field power bonus from the graveyard."

"Ohh…" said Joey, trying to figure out his next move while his life points were at 1,620.

"Come on! Play your next card, Joey!" demanded Bones.

"Hmm…." groaned Joey as he picks his next card. "This one. Garoozis! Go! With Five-slash strike!"

A lizard in armor (ATTK:1800/DEF:1500) appears on the field, causing Bandit Keith to chuckle a bit. Garoozis slices the clown zombie, destroying it on the field. "Yes! Adios, you Clown Zombie!" said Joey.

"Not quite." said Bones.

"Huh?"

"I tried to tell you, dweeb. Forgot my magic card?" Bones asked. "Call of the Haunted is still in play." The card activated and brings the clown zombie pieces back together.

"Your clown's come back to life!" said Joey, seeing what the card can do on the field.

"Ha ha, and that's not all." said Bones. "Each and every time a zombie monster is killed, it will come back to life even stronger and more deadly than before!"

"What?" asked Joey.

"The clown zombie's attack power was originally 1,350," Bones starts to explain. "but it gains a 30% field power bonus from the graveyard field. So now it's 1,755. And after being brought back to life, it gets another 10%." Proving his point, the Clown Zombie's attack power rose to 1,890.

"Do the math, pea brain. He's stronger than Garoozis." said Bones.

"He can't be!" said Joey.

"Clown Zombie, Flame Dagger Acrobatic Attack!" ordered Bones. The daggers in Clown Zombie's hand glowed and thrown towards Garoozis, destroying him on the field. Joey's life points dropped to 1,530. At another part of the cave, Tristan, Tea, Paige and Yugi were running from something.

"Still no sign of Joey." said Tristan, catching his breath.

"Yeah." said Yugi.

"I miss that blond hair boy." said Paige.

"Hey, where's Bakura?" asked Tristan.

"Huh?" said the others as they looked behind them.

"He was right behind us." said Paige.

"We didn't take any turns, so where could he have gone?" asked Tea.

"I don't know, Tea." said Yugi when suddenly they heard Bakura scream. "Did you hear that?"

"Yes and I don't like the sound of it." said Paige.

"You and me both, Paige." said Tea. "Sounds like Bakura!"

"Bakura! This way!" Tristan shouted to him.

"Aah! Help me!" screamed Bakura as he runs towards them with a skeleton on his back. The others screamed in fear as they ran from him.

"Help! Get this thing off of me! Aah! Aah!" shouted Bakura. A few minutes later, the skeleton was off of Bakura.

"From now on, don't go picking up any hitchhikers." said Tristan as he stomps on the skull with his foot. The others were on the ground, catching their breath.

"Is it safe to open my eyes now?" Tea asked with her tongue sticking out.

"Yugi, get off of me please." said Paige as her brother laid across her body.

"Ah! You gave us all quite a scare with that skeleton, Bakura." said Yugi, sitting up.

"Sorry." said Bakura.

"Never mind that." said Tristan. "Because now we've got another problem."

"Huh?" The others turned around to see that the cave split off in to directions.

"Which way do we go now?" Tristan asked. "Anybody got any ideas?"

"Gee, both ways look so inviting." said Tea.

"Yeah, well, if Joey got invited down one of those tunnels, then we need to figure out which one." said Tristan.

"Tristan's right. We need to find Joey now." said Yugi.

"Yeah." said the others. Suddenly, the rock under Bakura's foot activates.

"Uhh! Hey! My foot!" shouted Bakura and rumbling was heard behind them

"What is that sound?" asked Tristan.

"I stepped on a switch or something." said Bakura.

"Quiet now." said Yugi.

"Oh!"

"Listen. Now the sound's getting louder." said Tristan.

"I think it's coming this way." said Tea.

"Yeah, but just what's coming this way?" asked Yugi.

"This feels like one of grandpa's stories he use to tell us when we were little, Yugi." said Paige.

"Which one?" he asked.

"Shh." said Tristan as the sound gets even louder.

"Uhh. Oh, dear. Uhh." said a frightened Bakura and a boulder comes straight for them, causing the group to scream and run.

"Hurry!" shouted Bakura.

"Why is that boulder chasing us?" asked Tea.

"'Cause we're downhill." said Tristan.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Bakura tells them. Yugi and the others continued to run until Bakura trips, falling to the ground. Once he hits the ground, the boulder goes over Bakura.

"It got Bakura!" shouted Yugi.

"Oh, no!" shouted Tea and Paige.

"Don't look back! Uhh!" shouted Tristan. "Keep running, or it…" Ahead of them was a dead end. "Oh no! It's a dead end. We're trapped! It's a dead end! Since there's nowhere to run, I'm gonna fight!"

"Tristan, you can't punch out…" said Yugi

"A boulder!" shouted Tea.

"You're gonna break your fist!" shouted Paige.

"I'm gonna try!" Tristan tells them and punches out the boulder. The boulder explodes in front of their eyes, causing Tea, Paige and Yugi to be shocked.

"That's….that's impossible." said Paige.

"Huh?" said Tristan. "A balloon?"

"Yeah. And that's a speaker." said Yugi, seeing a rolling speaker on the floor. "Somebody wired that thing for sound, and I'm betting it was Pegasus!" Back in the cave, Bakura was still on the ground, whimpering in terror.

"Are you ok, Bakura?" asked Tea.

"Pegasus spared no expense to scare us half to death." said Yugi.

"If I needed to be scared this badly, I would have had grandpa do it." said Paige.

"This is a catastrophe." thought Joey. "I smack down those zombies, and they just come back even nastier than before. Man, oh man. I don't know how I can win this duel."

Bandit Keith smiled as he watches Joey struggling. "Had enough yet, dweeb?" he asked Joey. "I told you that there's no way to beat Bandit Keith."

"Yeah, Bandit Keith's the best there is." said Zigor.

"You can leave your star chips at the door." said Sid. Joey then looks at the star chips he placed down.

"If I lose these chips, I get axed from the tournament." Joey thought to himself. "Last time I dueled, Kaiba beat me pretty bad. Maybe I should just give up."

He then shakes his head. "Nah! No way, man!" said Joey. "I'm not a scared little puppy. And for Serenity's sake, I've gotta stay in the game! I have to trust in the cards….and in myself."

Joey draws another card from his deck. "Huh?" he said. "Time Wizard! This card I got from Yugi has pulled my rump out of the fire before. Like in my duels with Mai and Rex Raptor. When I fought Rex, it even fossilized his dinosaur. Maybe it'll help me again. Yeah, maybe it can blow those zombies away! What have I got to lose? I play Time Wizard!"

"Huh?" said Bones and Bandit Keith as Time Wizard comes out onto the field.

"Time Wizard?" thought Bandit Keith. "Apparently the dweeb's smarter than I thought. His time wizard could age Bones' zombies right into the dust!"

"Spin-Time Roulette!" shouted Joey and the roulette begins.

"Boss, help me." said Bones, looking over his shoulder.

"Don't worry. Don't you know Time Roulette is totally a game of chance, Bones?" said Bandit Keith. "It's all a matter of luck. So, if yours is better, you won't be wiped out. See?"

"Aah!" screamed Bones as the roulette starts to slow down.

"Come on, Time Wizard. You can do this." said Joey.

"No, you cant. No, you cant." said Bones, rubbing his hands together.

"This is it!" said Joey as Bones starts to groan and the arrow lands on a time warp, before finally landing on a skull. "What? No way!"

"Boss, I won!" said Bones, happily winning the game of chance. On Joey's side of the field, a time warp opens up.

"You're really gonna dig what happens next, Bones." said Bandit Keith. "Now his Time Wizard and Flame Swordsman will vanish into a time warp in the sky."

"No!" shouted Joey as both his monsters were destroyed. "Don't go!"

"And that's not all." said Bandit Keith as Joey's life points drops to 630. "Half the attack power of those monsters gets deducted from Joey's life points."

"Want me to play a card or would you rather defeat yourself?" asked Bones, laughing at Joey's misfortune.

"I didn't know that I'd take this big a hit if I lost the spin at Time Roulette." Joey said to himself.

"Poor Joey." said Bones. "I'll give you a free turn. Throw my zombies another tasty morsel."

"I can't win an attack." thought Joey, taking a card from his hand and putting it out on the field. "I'll play this in defense mode!"

"Go Dragon Zombie!" shouted Bones.

"Hold it!" said Bandit Keith.

"Huh?"

"Why just defeat him when you can humiliate him, the way Pegasus did me?" asked Bandit Keith. "Beef up your zombies, and you can wipe him out in a few turns. Play the King of Ghosts!"

"I hear you, boss." said Bones, placing a pumpkin like monster out on the field. "Pumpking, rise from the grave!"

"What is that thing?" asked Joey as Pumpking rose on the field.

"It's the Pumpking, the king of ghosts!" said Bones, as Pumpking (ATTK:1950/DEF:2600) glared at Joey.

"What does it do?" Joey asked Bones.

"Oh, the Pumpking has a very special ability." said Bones. "Ectoplasmic Fortification!"

The vines of the Pumpking went into the monsters that were on the field. "Ecto-whozis Forta-whatsis?" Joey asked.

"Ectoplasm is the ghostly substance that gives my zombie monsters their power," Bones explained. "and Pumpking, as the king of ghosts, can pump up their ectoplasmic energy and their attack points by 10% each and every turn."

"Oh, no." said Joey.

"And as their attack power grows, they become giant zombies." Bones added as each of his monsters grew bigger. "Dragon Zombie, attack with Deadly Zombie Breath!" The Dragon Zombie sends its attack at Joey's faced down card, destroying it.

"That defense monster was much too weak." said Bones. "Why don't you give me something stronger to destroy?"

"You wish." said Joey as he places another card face down in defense mode. "Armored Lizard…defense mode!"

"Ectoplasmic Fortification!" shouted Bones and his monsters grew a little bit bigger. "Power up my zombie army and attack!"

The Dragon Zombie attacks Armored Lizard, sending it to the graveyard. "Huh. So much for Armored Lizard." said Joey.

"Oh, this is so cool!" shouted Bones, excitedly. "Boss, you're giving me great advice!"

"Nah, just good advice so far, Bones." thought Bandit Keith. "But you've got one card that'll demolish the dweeb."

"Man, I can barely defend myself." said Joey.

"Deadly Zombie Breath!" shouted Bones as Dragon Zombie sends another one of Joey's monsters to the graveyard, cackling as he does so. "I'm wiping them out one by one!"

"He's right. I'm done for." said Joey.

"Deadly Zombie Breath!" Bones shouted again as he sends Joey's latest monster to the graveyard.

"Ohh. That dragon's bad breath is killing me." said Joey. "I lose another warrior, and his zombies get stronger. This is really bad."

"Come on!" taunted Bones. "Throw another card for my monsters to devour!"

"There's gotta be some way to beat him." thought Joey. "Yugi and Paige would know."

"Joey!" shouted Yugi and Paige.

"Joey!" shouted Tristan.

"Huh?" he said, looking up to see that his friends were there. "Yugi! Paige! You're really here!"

Bandit Keith growls at the sight as the others arrived. "Block 'em." he said to Zigor and Sid, causing them to run over to the others.

"What kind of duel arena is this?" asked Yugi.

"The kind you would never see me use." said Paige.

"Are you crazy?" Tristan asked. "Why in the world did you accept a duel in a place like this?"

"Yeah, like I had a choice." said Joey before pointing across the duel arena. "Those three creeps right there ganged up on me and forced me into this crazy duel."

"Whoa!" said Tristan, seeing Sid and Zigor in front of them. "This duel's over."

"That's not up to you, chum." said Sid.

"I say it is." said Tristan.

"You wanna stop it, you gotta get past me." said Zigor.

"My pleasure." said Tristan as he rushes them, gets hit in the head with a pebble and punched in the stomach.

"Tristan!" shouted Yugi.

"Tristan, are you…" Joey started to ask as he goes towards his friend but Bandit Keith stops him.

"Hold it." said Bandit Keith.

"Huh?"

"Remember, if you leave the arena, you forfeit the duel, and all your star chips belong to me." Bandit Keith reminded him.

"What?" asked a shocked Joey.

"The duel is illegal anyway." said Tea.

"Right, Tea!" said Bakura.

"Wrong, Tea." said Bandit Keith. "When he threw down his star chips, he accepted the duel. Ha ha ha ha!"

"In that case, Joey…." Tristan groaned as Paige helped him. "you're just gonna have to beat these punks. And if you're gonna need a little added motivation, try this!" Tristan then throws the wallet towards Joey, who catches it.

"Huh? Serenity." said Joey.

"That's right, Joey. Your sister." said Tristan. "Your dueling for her."

"Thanks, man." said Joey.

"So, what's it going to be?" Bandit Keith asked. "You gonna cut and run, dweeb, or are you gonna part with your star chips the hard way?"

"Hey, I've had it up to here with your smart remarks." said Joey. "Spill! Who are you, anyway?"

"Don't you know? They call me Bandit Keith." he said to Joey.

"You're Bandit Keith?" asked Yugi.

"I've heard that name somewhere before." said Tea.

"Yeah, he's the intercontinental champion, the guy Kaiba told us about." said Yugi. "He's only lost one duel monsters challenge, and that was to Pegasus himself."

"And it was televised too." said Paige. "I've always wanted to go up against Bandit Keith."

"You have?" asked Tea.

"Yea, but I never got the chance." said Paige. "Remember, Yugi? I was sick that one year."

"You had a high fever and couldn't go to the tournament." said Yugi.

"Oh." said Bakura and Tea.

"Huh. No wonder Skull Face there has outsmarted me at every turn." said Joey.

"Which is why you ought to pack it up and go home, dweeb, 'cause I've given my little pal Bones here the perfect strategy." said Bandit Keith. "You couldn't beat him with every card in your deck."

"Nobody's gonna get inside Pegasus' castle except Bandit Keith and us." said Zigor.

"You fought your last duel, Joey." said Bones. "You're about to join the other zombies in this graveyard field."

"A graveyard field?" question Yugi.

"Come on. Play your next card or rest in peace." said Bones and Joey looks down at his wallet.

"Hmm? Serenity." said Joey, then looks up. "For your sake, I've gotta win!"

"No!" shouted Bones. "All your hopes and all your dreams will die right here!"

"Says you, geek!" shouted Joey. "I'll keep my defenses up until I find a way to attack!"

"You know, you shouldn't have broadcast your strategy." said Bandit Keith.

"I what?" said Joey as Bones laughed maniacally.

"Especially when it's a losing one." said Bandit Keith. "Bones has a special card in his deck that'll render all your defenses useless!"

"You gotta be bluffing. He can't possibly do that with one card." said Joey.

"Oh, yeah?" asked Bones, picking up another card. "This trap card can. It's called Stop Defense!"

"Oh, no." said Joey as the others gasped.

"Stop Defense is big trouble, Joey!" said Yugi.

"From now on, any card you try to play in defense mode will activate the trap!" said Bones. "And you still can't stop me from raising the ectoplasmic power of my zombies! So now all that's left is to snuff out the last monster you have standing. Deadly Zombie Breath!"

Dragon Zombie destroys Joey's monster, sending it to the graveyard, causing Bandit Keith to laugh. "End of the road for you, dweeb." he said. "You got nowhere left to run now."

"I let you down, sis." said Joey.

"Don't let him scare you, Joey!" shouted Tea.

"Hang in there!" shouted Bakura.

"Whatever he says, don't quit." said Tristan.

"We got your back, Joey!" shouted Paige.

"Quit? No way." said Joey. "I can't give up. Not while Serenity's counting on me." He draws another card from his deck. "Go! Red Eyes Black Dragon!" Red Eyes Black Dragon screeched its ways onto the field and Bandit Keith stared in shock.

"Red Eyes?" he asked. "Where'd this dork get a card that rare?"

"If all my defenses are blocked, then I'll take to the offense." said Joey. "Red Eyes, take out that overgrown pumpkin!"

"What do I do?" asked Bones. "His attack power is greater than mine."

"Inferno Fire Blast!" shouted Joey and Red Eyes sends out a fire blast at Pumpking.

"All right!" cheered Bakura.

"Nice move, Joey." said Yugi. "Now he can't raise his monsters' attack power any higher!"

Bones glared at Joey as his life points dropped to 855. "And since Pumpking was already a ghost from the start, he can't use the Call of the Haunted to bring him back." added Yugi.

"Minor setback, Bones." said Bandit Keith.

"Huh?"

"Don't forget, you still got more than enough attack power to polish him off for good." he tells Bones.

"Yeah. Ok, boss." said Bones and Dragon Zombie gets ready for another attack. "Go Dragon Zombie! Blow Red Eyes away!"

"My Red Eyes! No! Uhh!" said Joey, shielding his eyes as Red Eyes Black Dragon was destroyed on the field.

"Ha ha ha ha! Even Red Eyes was no match for me!" screeched Bones as Joey's life points dropped to 150.

"With that card wiped out, I'm all but done for." said Joey.

"Red Eyes Black Dragon, up in smoke." said Bones.

"He-he annihilated my strongest card." said Joey.

"Ha ha ha ha! It's all over for you, dweeb." said Bandit Keith.

"Don't give up." said Tristan.

"I'm all out of moves." thought Joey. "The only monster card I've got left is Battle Warrior, and his attack powers are way too low."

"Well, are you going to play or surrender?" asked Bones.

"Yugi, isn't there some way Joey can beat that little ghoul?" asked Tea.

"Yeah. Because he's starting to freak me out." said Paige.

"He's in a big jam, you two." said Yugi. "Attacking the Zombie Army doesn't do any good, and that trap card blocks all his defenses." Yugi then realizes something. "Defense! That's it! Joey, there is a way! You've got a magic card in your deck that can turn this whole thing around!"

"Huh?" said Joey and Bones.

"I forgot about that card." said Paige.

"Heh. You've got to be kidding." said Bandit Keith. "You're Yugi, right? And she's your sister, Paige? Well, maybe you beat Kaiba, but the strategy I gave Bones is just perfect. Your friend is a goner."

"Joey, he's wrong." said Yugi.

"You sure?" asked Joey and he sees the serious look on Yugi's face. "Ok. Yeah. Trust in the cards. Yeah, this is…the one." Joey was surprised at the card he drew. "This must be the card Yugi was talking about. Shield and Sword is a magic card that swaps the attack and defense points of every monster on the field! If I can take away the zombie's attack power by flipping it to defense, his monsters won't be able to stop my next card! Yep. It's my only chance. Battle Warrior…in attack mode!"

Battle Warrior (ATTK:700/DEF:1000) appears on the field. "So, it's the only move you had left, huh?" asked Bones.

"And then I add this magic card called Shield and Sword." said Joey.

"What?!" exclaimed Bandit Keith.

"Go!" shouted Joey, placing Shield and Sword onto the field. "Offensive Defensive Flip!"

"Ohh….Ohh…" said Bones as the arena starts to shake and monsters on both sides of the field had their points flipped around.

"Zombie monsters have no will of their own." thought Bandit Keith. "They can't defend themselves on this turn. We're sunk!"

"My zombie's attack power has dropped to zero!" shouted Bones.

"And my Battle Warrior's attack and defense points switched, too. See?" said Joey. "Smash those zombie freaks! Ultimate Battle Fist!"

Battle Warrior pulls back his fist and punches each monster. "Uhh! With their attack points at zero, the zombies can't come back to life." thought Bandit Keith.

"How could I lose?" asked Bones as his life points hit zero.

"All right!" cheered Tristan.

"Way to go, Joey!" shouted Paige.

"Joey, you won!" exclaimed Tea.

"You did it, Joey!" shouted Yugi.

"I did, didn't I?" asked Joey.

"Mmm-hmm." said Yugi, nodding.

"Unh!" said Bandit Keith, getting off the rock he was sitting on. "See ya around, loser."

"But wait, Boss!" said Bones.

"Mmm?" said Joey, seeing Bandit Keith walking away from his crony.

"Hey, boss!

"Wait up, boss!"

"Bandit Keith!" Joey called out.

"Hmm?" he replied.

"Maybe next time you'll have the nerve to duel me face to face, instead of hiding behind your creepy flunkies." said Joey.

"Heh." scoffed Bandit Keith. "Duel you face to face? You're hopeless, dweeb. The game of duel monsters is all about keeping your opponent's off balance. Winning the duel's all that matters, noy how you got about it."

"We'll just see about that, Bandit Keith." said Joey.

"Ha ha ha ha! Yeah, right." he said as Bones ran to his side. "I'm quivering in fear already, dweeb."

Bandit Keith laughs again as he leaves Joey and the others behind him. "What a jerk." said Tea.

"There's one word that I want to say about said jerk, but I can't say it in front of my brother." said Paige.

"You don't think…." said Yugi.

"That's what he is." said Paige.

"I said it before and I'll say again, never a dull moment with you Paige." said Yugi.

"And you love me anyway." she tells her brother.

"That I do, little sister." he said, smiling.

"Guys, look. I'm really sorry." said Joey, walking up to the others. "I didn't mean to drag all of you into this mess."

"Next time, don't be in such a big hurry to run off on your own." said Tristan.

"Ah, it's all right." said Yugi. "We know it wasn't your fault, Joey."

"I don't blame you." said Paige.

"Yeah. I mean, as long as he won the duel, we can forgive him." said Tristan.

"I admit you had us worried at first." said Tea.

"But you really came through this time." said Bakura.

"I got lucky, that's all." said Joey.

"It wasn't luck, Joey." said Yugi.

"Huh?"

"It was your determination, your trust in the cards, and the promise you made to your sister." Yugi explained. "That's what helped you win."

Joey smiled and looked down at his dueling glove. "I only need 2 more-star chips." he thought. "Hang in there, Serenity."

"So, now can we get out of this creepy pit?" asked Tea.

"Let's go, please." said Paige.

"You bet." said Tristan as the others agreed.

"Nothing's gonna stop us now!" said Joey as they headed for the exit. "Hey!" Up ahead, was the exit. "Daylight!" shouted Joey and the group starts running for the exit. Outside, a stone was being pushed over the exit.

"Oh, no! What's that?" asked Joey. Back outside, Bones, Zigor and Sid were pushing a boulder over the entrance to the cave, trapping them inside.

"Tough luck, guys." said Bandit Keith, laughing. "Looks like youre stuck in there for life."

Once the boulder was finally covering the entrance, Bandit Keith looked down at his cronies. "Now we gotta have a little talk."

"Uh, talk about what, boss?" asked Bones, panting.

"Your star chips!" said Bandit Keith, taking away what Zigor had and throwing him to the ground.

"Zigor!" said Sid.

"Next?" said Bandit Keith, looking at the two.

"Boss, what's wrong?" asked Bones.

"What's wrong is that you lost." said Bandit Keith.

"But boss, I did exactly what you to me!" Bones exclaimed.

"You lost!" Bandit Keith shouted at him. "Now hand 'em over!"

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" said Bones.

"Take 'em. Just take 'em." said Sid, handing his star chips over.

"10-star chips." said Bandit Keith, wearing the dueling glove. "Not exactly the way I planned to get 'em, but at least now I know I'll get into the castle."

"I hate when he gets like this." said Sid.

"I'm coming, Pegasus." said Bandit Keith, heading his way towards the castle. "We got a score to settle." Inside the cave, the group tries to push away the boulder.

"This thing weighs a ton!" said Joey. "I can't even get it to budge."

"Push harder! Come on!" said Tristan.

"Are we really trapped in here?" asked Tea as they continued to push the boulder.
