To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You won't be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.

I've already had my background chapter ready for Seasons 2-5. To the one who has thought that Paige should have Arkana's Dark Magician, I want you to know that you are very lucky that I have that card in my actual deck. I want everyone to know that when I write season 5 (I really do mean when I write it), how I see Atem when he enters the world of his memories, there will be a couple of major surprises. I can't tell you what those surprises will be because they are still in development and I'm bouncing around some ideas with a couple of my friends so that I can make it the best part of season 5.

"I'm almost to Pegasus' castle." Kaiba thought to himself as he gets closer. "I've gotta be on my guard. His goons are everywhere, but they won't stop me. Nothing will. Mokuba's life at stake, and nothing's more important than my little brother."

[Flashback]

Mokuba and Kaiba were sitting at a desk, playing a game of chess.

"After our parents died, I promised I'd always take care of him, and I will." said Kaiba. "He's always looked up to me, and I won't disappoint him."

[Flashback ends]

"Not now. Not ever." thought Kaiba, looking at his half of the picture.

"So it's the famous Seto Kaiba." said Kemo, gaining Kaiba's attention.

"Huh?"

"Searching for your little brother, no doubt." said Kemo, laughing. "You're comin' with me. Aah!"

Kaiba dodges Kemo's fist and elbows him in the stomach before throwing the goon over his shoulder. "Actually, you're coming with me." Kaiba said to the goon, pulling him up by his collar. "You're gonna help me find Mokuba, wherever Pegasus has him. And you're gonna start by getting me into that castle."

"With a trap, you stopped our attack…" said Para.

"Just as you did pledge." said Dox. "But with our scores…."

"Ahead of yours, we still have the edge." said Para.

"Hmm." growled Joey as he looks down at his cards. "We're just gettin' started. Hmm. So far, the only monster I got in the field is my Axe Raider. I need to bolster our attack power. Now my Flame Swordsman will heat things up. I put it in attack mode."

Joey's Flame Swordsman appears on the field. "Its power level is 5, but I'll only move 4 spaces." said Joey. "I'll also move Axe Raider forward 4 spaces to join him and consolidate our forces. I've already used up Kunai with Chain's trap effect, but it still works as a regular accessory card, raising Axe Raider's attack power by 500 points."

Both Axe Raider and Flame Swordsman joined Celtic Guardian as Axe Raider's attack points became 2200. "Let's see you take that on, you twisted twins." said Joey.

"It doesn't matter if your forces are one or many, for soon….." said Para.

"There won't be any." added Dox. "Labyrinth Tank, advance 7 more spaces. Labyrinth Tank wields futuristic weaponry. Your archaic soldiers don't stand a chance, and soon they will be within striking range."

"And somewhere in the Labyrinth lurks another trap for your unwary warriors. Do you think you stand a chance?" asked Para.

"Don't you two ever stop yakkin'?" asked Joey. "You're up, Yugi."

"Then I play Dark Magician in attack mode." said Yugi, placing the Dark Magician onto the field. "I move him forward 5 spaces to defend our other warriors." The Dark Magician jumps forward to protect their monsters.

"Cool. Nice move, Yugi." Joey said in awe. "Now the gang's all here. They're a team, just like you and me, pal."

"Right, Joey. There's strength in numbers." said Yugi. "Together they stand a much better chance of conquering this murderous maze."

The Paradox brothers growled at Yugi and Joey. "We shall see about that." said Para, drawing his next card and smiles. "Hmm."

"Quit grinnin' and spit it out." demanded Joey. "What is it?"

"It's a magic card," said Para. "and that's caused for celebration, brother."

"Right!" said Dox.

"Hyah."

"Hyah!"

"Now face the Wall-Warping power of….." said Para, placing his magic card down on the field. "Magical Labyrinth!"

"Huh? Whats goin' on?" asked Joey as the duel field starts shaking.

"The Maze, it's changing, and that changes the whole game." said Tea.

"Be careful, you guys." said Paige.

"Oh, no." said Yugi. "The Maze is changing shape!"

"Yeah, but what's it all mean?" asked Joey.

"It means that your monsters are trapped, Joey." said Paige as a wall came up behind Yugi's and Joey's monsters, causing Bakura, Tristan and Tea to gasp.

"That's just great." said Joey. "Our guys are cut off from each other."

"Ha ha ha ha." thought Para, smirking at Joey's distress. "That's the power of the Magical Labyrinth….to reshape the maze according to our will. That should rattle them."

"Tag teams are only as strong as their weakest link, and the link that's about to break is you!" Dox said to Joey.

"Oh, no." said Joey, drawing a card from his deck. "Our strategy's blown."

"Don't let them rattle you, Joey." said Yugi.

"Huh? Right, Yug." he said. "Gotta keep calm. Axe Raider, Flame Swordsman, advance and regroup. The closer our boys get to the maze exit, the closer we get to gettin' outta here."

"Heh heh heh heh heh." laughed the Paradox brothers.

"Wait! Joey look out!" shouted Yugi as one of Joey's monsters was about to step on a square.

"Too late." said Dox. "He activated my trap."

"Wha…." said a shocked Joey.

"And now the Land Mine Spider attacks Axe Raider." said Dox.

"Mmm." growled Axe Raider as Land Mine Spider appears before him and Flame Swordsman.

"Fend him off, Axe Raider." said Joey as Land Mine Spider takes him into its grip.

"He's too weak." said Dox. "Jirai Gumo reduces Axe Raider's attack power to its original 1,700."

"That means…." said Joey.

"Your Axe Raider is vanquished." said Dox as Jirai Gumo squishes Axe Raider off the field.

"And you lose 400 lift points." said Para as Joey's life points dropped to 1,600, causing both brothers to chuckle.

"400 points?" asked Tea.

"You're right. Joey just walked right into that one." said Tristan.

"I just hope he can get himself out of it before the duel is over." said Paige.

"Good trap, my brother." said Para.

"Mmm. That's just the beginning." said Dox. "Labyrinth Tank, advance 7 more. And then I'll lay one more card in defense mode."

"Aren't you gonna tell us what it is?" Joey asked when Dox chuckles.

"You have enough to worry about." he tells him. "My Labyrinth tank is now within striking distance of your Flame Swordsman. It's all over for him in the next turn. Then you can worry about what other surprises I have in store. Heh heh heh heh heh."

"This doesn't look good." said Bakura.

"I agree." said Paige.

"Tell me about it." said Tristan. "It's a good thing Yugi's up next."

"Hmm." Yugi said smiling.

"Hmm." said Para, with a curious look on his face.

"We'll counter attack." said Yugi. "I play the magic card Mystic Box in combination with the Dark Magician."

"AAAIII!" screamed the brothers.

"I seal my Dark Magician within the first Mystic Box as swords rain from the sky!" said Yugi.

"Hmm. What's this?" asked Dox as swords went into the Mystic Box. "The duelist's gone mad, sacrificing his own monster."

"No, wait. Look." said Para.

"Huh? Another box is materializing around my Jirai Gumo?" asked Dox.

As the second Mystic Box opens, both Para and Dox yelled in surprised that Dox's monster was there. "My Spider is skewered!" Dox exclaimed. "And his Dark Magician is….."

"Unharmed?!" said both brothers.

"Right." said Yugi. "My Dark Magician magically switched his position with that of your monster, trapping him in the first Mystic Box and ending my magic act."

"All right." said Joey. "Let's see cue ball top that."

"Hmm." said Yugi, nodding in agreement. "And now for his tank. Dark Magician…..Dark Magic Attack!"

Electricity cackles as the Dark Magician raised his staff and aims it at the Labyrinth Tank, destroying it from the field. "Let's see what that does to your life points." said Yugi.

"Aah!" screamed Dox as his life points start to drop.

"Together, Joey and I will overcome any obstacles that you two put in our way." said Yugi.

"You have security clearance." Kaiba said to Kemo. "Open it."

"Don't you think we should ring the bell?" Kemo asked.

"I think you should shut your mouth and open the door." demanded Kaiba. "Open it now."

Kemo starts chuckling as he places his hand on the scanner. "You do know no one takes Pegasus by surprise." said Kemo. "He probably already knows you're here….somehow."

"Big brother…" thought Mokuba, looking at his half of the picture. "where are you?"

"Ok, Dumbo duo, now we're gonna clean your clocks." taunted Joey.

"Of yourself you think too much. Show them, brother, our lucky touch." said Dox as Para draws a card and snickers.

"Huh? Hmm?" said Yugi and Joey.

"I don't like it when that goon grins." said Joey.

"Sanga of Thunder is one of three gods that controls Thunder, Wind and Water." said Para, looking at his Sanga card. "The remaining two cards are Suijin, God of Water, and Kazejin, God of Wind. If our luck holds two more turns and we acquire them all, they can be combined to create the Gate Guardian."

"Quit your mumblin', no-hair!" shouted Joey. "Just hurry up and move!"

"Not so hasty." said Para. "I will lay this card face down, ending my turn."

"Intriguing, eh?" asked Dox as Sanga appeared in a box on the field.

"What could be in there?" asked Yugi.

"Heh. I don't know, but we'll bust it open and find out when our guys get there." said Joey and draws his next card. "Flame Swordsman, advance five more spaces toward the end of the maze. We're almost there, Yugi."

"I can't let them escape until we've assembled all the pieces of the Guardian." thought Dox as he drew his next card. "Now we'll test my luck. Suijin, the Water God. Looks like I've doubled our delights." Suddenly, Suijin's box appeared on the field next to Sanga and both brothers chuckled.

"Another Chinese box." said Tea.

"What could they be?" asked Bakura.

"Your guess is as good as mine." added Paige as her brother sighs.

"I've got a bad feeling about those boxes." thought Yugi. "I sense something ancient and evil. It's like I can feel a powerful, dangerous energy pulsating inside them."

"We cannot summon the gate keeper yet, but we can still slow our enemy's advance." thought Dox. "I now play my hidden card. Dungeon Worm, return to the surface now in attack mode." Dungeon Worm (ATT:1800/ DEF:1500) appeared on the field. "And I will strengthen it with invigoration, which raises its attack power by 400 points."

Raised into the air, Dungeon Worm's attack power increases to 2200. "What is that beast?" asked Yugi. "Huh?"

"It's a Burrower, and it's coming for you." said Dox.

"Where'd it go? Where's that thing hidin'?" asked Joey. "AAH!"

Suddenly, Dungeon Worm appears in front of Celtic Guardian and takes him out. "No!" shouted Yugi, as Dungeon Worm takes his monster into the ground. "No! My Celtic Guardian!"

"Watch your life points go slithering away." said Dox as Yugi's life points drop to 800 while he and his brother chuckle.

"Hey, that's not fair!" shouted Tristan. "That creature can pop up anywhere."

"That's true." said Tea as Paige scans the field for a way out. "This field gives their monsters all the advantage."

"That's right." said Para.

"No one escapes the Labyrinth." said Dox.

"It's up to you, Yug." said Joey. "You're gonna have to pull a winner out of your hat."

"Joey, that's genius!" shouted Paige.

"Huh? I'm a genius?" asked Joey.

"He's a genius?" asked Tea and Tristan.

"Great idea." said Yugi. "I play Magical Hats. Hats, materialize! As for our warriors, now you see them….now you don't." As one that covers the Dark Magician, another covers the Flame Swordsman.

"Aah! The hats!" shrieked Para.

"They're multiplying, hiding all they're monsters." said Dox.

"All right, Yug. That should sure confuse that slimy worm of theirs." said Joey.

"And the Dungeon Worm's attack power is only 2,200 while the Dark Magician's is 2,500." said Yugi. "So if the worm chooses the wrong hat and uncovers the Dark Magician, he'll only destroy himself."

The brothers groaned as Yugi said it. "And that guarantees your Swordsman's safety as well, because with the Dark Magician lying in wait, the worm dare not strike any hats." explained Yugi.

"You know….." said Paige as Tea, Tristan and Bakura looked at her. "I actually like this strategy. I should write it down."

"Ha." said Para. "Your little plan is not as foolproof as you think, Yugi. Monster Tamer, appear now in attack mode!"

Monster Tamer (ATT:1800/ DEF:1600) appears on the field, ready to tame any monsters that is thrown its way. "Hyah!" said the Monster Tamer.

"Hmm? The Monster Tamer?" asked Yugi.

"Ha. Normally, I couldn't control the Dungeon Worm or any other monster my brother placed on the field, but by using this Monster Tamer, I can add 600 points to the Dungeon Worm's attack power and also make the worm follow my Monster Tamer's instructions during my turn." explained Para.

"Oh, 2,800." thought Yugi. "That raises the Dungeon Worm's attack power higher than the Dark Magician's."

"Now, Monster Tamer," said Para and Monster Tamer strikes his whip. "command my brother's Dungeon Worm to destroy one of the Magic Hats!"

"With their Dungeon Worm powered up by the Monster Tamer, this all comes down to luck." thought Yugi, wondering which hat Dungeon Worm will strike first when suddenly it appears out of one.

"Hmm. Empty hat." said Para.

"Whoa. That was close." said Joey.

"Luck was with us this time, but the Dungeon Worm will attack again next turn." Yugi thought. "And then, with only one empty hat remaining, the odds will be against us. What can we do?"

"Don't sweat it." said Joey, gaining Yugi's attention.

"Huh?"

"I got it all figured out. You just sit back and watch me and the Flame Swordsman go." Joey tells him and he releases the Flame Swordsman from Magical Hats.

"Joey, what are you doing?" Yugi asked.

"Is Joey nuts?" asked Tristan. "His Swordsman was safe."

"Don't worry. This time I know what I'm doin'." said Joey with a card in his hand. "I play a magic card….Salamandra!"

"AAH!" screamed the brothers.

"That's right. You oughta to be scared." said Joey. "It juices up any fire-based blade and raises its attack points by 700. Swordsman, Salamandra Flamestrike!"

Soon as Flame Swordsman's attack power went up, he attacks Dungeon Worm. "Where is it going?" asked Para.

"Good show." said Bakura. "Not only does Salamandra increase the Swordsman's attack strength, but because of the Worm's weakness to fire, it negates the bonus points the worm gets from the Monster Tamer, returning its attack power to 2,200."

"Less than my supercharged Swordsman. The Worm turns." said Joey as Dox's life points dropped to 1,600. "Or should I say burns? Top that!"

"Joey, great move. Good going." praised Yugi.

"You did it." said Tea, Paige and Tristan.

"You must draw the card we need." Para said to Dox.

"Indeed." Dox replied. "Hmm. Ha! The third piece! This will seal their fate. Ha."

"Hmm. The third piece, with which we'll now create…" said Para.

"A monster who will….." said Dox.

"Annihilate!" they both shouted.

"Against the…" said Para.

"Trinity." said Dox.

"They can't defend…." Para said.

"All their life points we will rend." said Dox.

"Summon Kazejin, God of Wind." said the brothers as Dox places Kazejin on the field. A third box appears on the field and rumbling shakes the entire field.

"Uh, Yugi, what's happening?" asked Joey.

"Oh, no. The Trinity!" said Yugi. "It's in the class of Exodia."

"Whoa." said Joey as all three boxes opened, combing the three monsters.

"Elements of Thunder, Water and Wind, Suijin, Sanga, Kazejin, begin." chanted Para and Dox. "Meld your powers in eternal light. Show these fools your unstoppable might."

"Here it comes." said Yugi.

"No way!" said Paige. "They're summoning that thing?!"

"What is it?" asked Tristan.

"I don't know." said Tea.

"He is the pain beyond description." said Para.

"He'll mark the graves with your inscription." said Dox.

"Gate Guardian!" shouted both brothers as the Trinity appears on the field, growling at Yugi and Joey. "Against our Gate Guardian, you cannot possibly win."

"Oh, it has the strength of 3 monsters." said Yugi.

"Yeah. He's 3 guys in 1." said Joey. "We're never gettin' out of this maze."

"Now what do they do?" asked Tea.

"I don't know. This looks bad." said Bakura.

"Don't be so downbeat, Bakura." said Tristan. "If they don't beat 'em, we'll never get out of the Labyrinth."

"Tristan, thanks for cheering me up, mate." Bakura said, sarcastically.

"Paige, have you ever gone up against the Gate Guardian?" asked Tea.

"I've dueled against the three monsters in three different duels, but never against the Gate Guardian before." said Paige.

"So, think you can beat us with your big multiple guy?" asked Joey. "Well, we're never givin' up. Let's go! Bring it on!"

"Ha ha ha ha ha. You must be mad." said Para.

"No one's ever gotten past the Gate Guardian." said Dox.

"He is composed of 3 parts, each controlling an elemental force." said Para.

"You'll never get past his combined power." added Dox.

"You will wander the Labyrinth….." said Para.

"Lost for all eternity." they both said.

"Me and Yugi'll take on anything you got." said Joey.

"Joey's right." said Yugi. "We're a team. You'll never beat our combined power. Take your turn."

"Ha." said the brothers.

"I told you to take me to Mokuba, not on a tour." said Kaiba as Kemo led him down to the dungeons. "It's endless."

"These tunnels are honeycombed throughout the entire island." said Kemo. "Without me to guide you, you could get lost down here for years."

"Don't get any ideas." Kaiba tells him.

"Listen, slim, I'm much bigger and much more stronger than you are." taunted Kemo. "You only got the drop on me 'cause you snuck up and took me by surprise. Whats to stop me from spinnin' around right now and knockin' your…..uhh."

"Try it and I'll drop you where you stand." Kaiba threatened Kemo, grabbing him by his jacket.

"Well, when you put it that way," said Kemo. "Nothing would please me more than to reunite you with your little brother, Mokuba."

"You promised, Seto." thought Mokuba, still in his cell. "You promised you'd never let anyone separate us."

[Flashback]

Outside the orphanage, Kaiba, Mokuba and the other boys stood in a line as Adoptive parents came out.

"Even at the orphanage, when all the other boys were being adopted one by one, some parents wanted you…." thought Mokuba. "said you were a genius….but you refused to go without me."

A boy waves good bye as he leaves the orphanage. Kaiba stood next to Mokuba, refusing to leave his side.

"Thank you. That could've been you." said Young Mokuba.

"But you said we weren't leaving the orphanage until we could both leave together." thought Mokuba.

"You won't let them separate us?" asked Young Mokuba.

"Never. Don't you worry." said Young Seto. "No one will ever keep us apart."

[Flashback ends]

"But what about Pegasus?" Mokuba thought. "You couldn't stop him from capturing me. Is he too much for you to handle? What if he's got you, too?"

"Ok, this is as far as we go." said Kemo.

"Where's Mokuba?" asked Kaiba.

"In Pegasus' grip, just like you'll soon be, Kaiba." replied Kemo.

"Stop playing games." demanded Kaiba and Kemo trips the alarm. "Ah! The alarm."

"If you want to find your brother before reinforcements arrive, better hurry." said Kemo. "Security will be here any moment."

"Mokuba!" said Kaiba and runs past Kemo, pushing him to the side. "Unh. I've got to get him out of here, away from Pegasus."

"Sir, Kemo has reported in." said Croquet as Pegasus sips his wine. "It seems Seto Kaiba has been spotted in the tunnels."

"Hmm, once again, Croquet, you report what I already know." said Pegasus.

"I beg your pardon, master." said Croquet.

"You can beg later when you are punished." Pegasus said, rising from his seat.

"Huh?"

"Seto Kaiba's presence on the island was not part of my original plan, but perhaps I can turn this to my advantage and my amusement." said Pegasus.

"Mokuba? Mokuba?" Kaiba called out.

"Seto!" said Mokuba, rising from the ground with the chains around his ankles. "My brother's here!"

"It's your turn, Yugi!" shouted Tea.

"Attack that big, ugly lug!" said Tristan.

"You mean that big, fat, ugly lug, Tristan." said Paige.

"Oh yeah, that too." said Tristan.

"Nothing in my deck is powerful enough to attack the Gate Guardian." said Yugi and places a couple cards on the field. "I can only play these."

"What a waste of a turn." said Para. "Your frightened, for all of your monsters are too weak to attack ours. Gate Guardian, use your immense power. Attack Flame Swordsman. Eliminate him from the field." Light energy came out from Gate Guardian and was aimed for the Flame Swordsman.

"This is it, bud." Joey said to Yugi. "We're goin' down in a big way."

"Thunderstroke Attack!" shouted Para.

"Flame Swordsman is about to be flame out." said Joey.
