Shoutouts:

Guest-You'll see what I already have planned for Paige to do against security.

"Ready or not…..here we come." said Kemo, knowing that Mokuba had lead them to the lab.

"We're not letting you in here, man." said Tristan as he and the girls placed desks and such against the door.

"Unh. Yugi." thought Tea as she and Paige put pressure on the desk before looking over at the pods. "I hope you guys are getting close to finding Kaiba. There's only so long we'll keep Kemo and his thugs from getting in here and unplugging your pods!"

"Huh." said Madame Butterfly as she takes a good look at Joey. "I knew guys could be dirty as pigs. Didn't know that they dressed the part. Hope you duel better than you smell, you swine."

"You know what I like about butterflies?" asked Joey. "They don't talk!"

Joey then growls at her, as she held one of her cards in her hand. "Let's duel!" they both shouted.

"This card will clip her wings and win us the Niwatori Prize Card." said Joey as he drew his first card. "Flame Swordsman!"

"Have I got a girl for you." she said, drawing her card. "Harpie Lady."

"Ahh!" Harpie Lady screeched.

"Harpie Lady." Joey thought. "I've definitely seen her before. Ah, the Swordsman will take her."

"I knew it. Pigs don't know about trap cards." said Madame Butterfly, revealing her trap card. "Mirror Wall."

Mirror Wall appears before Harpie Lady and deflects Joey's Flame Swordsman. "No!" Joey exclaimed. "Mirror Wall reflects my Swordsman's strike right back at him." He then recognizes this familiar strategy. "Hey, I've seen this strategy before. Mai always used that combo."

"Can it be?" questioned Yugi, seeing the combo as well.

Seeing that Joey and Yugi recognized her combo, Mai starts gleefully laughing. "My Harpie Lady really knows how to bring home the bacon." Mai taunted Joey.

"Ok, that's it." said Joey, finally recognizing her voice. "There's only one duelist that could be this annoying."

"Ready for the bog finish?" asked Mai. "Rose Whip Attack!"

Harpy Lady uses Rose Whip onto Flame Swordsman, about to wrap it around his body when Joey takes off his mask. "Hold on." he tells Mai, causing her to gasp.

"Stop attack." she said to Harpy Lady as Rose Whip was at the edge of Flame Swordsman's sword. "Joey? Is that you?"

"What are you doing here, Mai?" Yugi asked as he and Mokuba left the stands. "Ah!"

"Yugi! Mokuba! I'm….." Mai started to explain as the three of them went over to her. "testing this game for some suits at Kaiba Corp."

"Listen, you could be in danger, Mai." said Joey.

"Yeah, those suits kidnapped my big brother." said Mokuba.

"Kaiba's in a temple across the desert." added Yugi. "They trapped his mind in this virtual game."

"Kaiba's here?" Mai asked.

"Mm-hmm, and we need the Niwatori card to cross the desert so we can rescue him." Yugi nodded.

"That's the prize card for this match." said Mai. "Huh?"

The crowd in the arena shouted and yelled at them for stopping the match. "Uh, I know this crowd's a fake, but they look really mad to me." said Joey. "We might have a problem gettin' out of here without finishing the duel. Besides, even if we do escape, we still won't find Kaiba without that Niwatori card."

"We should've brought Paige with us." said Yugi. "She would know what to do with crowds like this."

"I know, but she chose to stay behind, remember?" Mokuba tells him.

"I was wondering where Princess Spikey was." said Mai, then turns to Joey. "Well, I'm not sure about crossing a desert, but I'm over this place, and I'm positive that I can get that Niwatori card. Harpie Lady, use Rose Whip!" Harpie Lady screeched as she used her Rose Whip to grab the Niwatori Card from its place.

"Unh! The Niwatori!" the man said, reaching out for the card.

"Ha!" shouted Mai with the card in her hand.

"Uh-oh. We're in trouble now!" said Joey as the four of them took off from the arena.

"Run for it!" shouted Mai.

"Don't let them go!" the man shouted as Joey's pig mask landed on his face.

"Gotta reach the desert!" said Mokuba as they ran out of the arena.

"Aw, this is much better than duelin'." said Joey as the crowd ran after them, yelling. He then takes out one of his cards. "Enough! Crowd control time! Go, Trap Hole!" As the crowd ran after them, Joey's trap card activates, creating a hole for the crowd. "By the time they get around this, we'll be across the desert."

The quartet arrives at the edge of the desert, ready to cross it. "Okay, time to see if this card will work like the old man said it would." Joey said to the others. "Will you do the honors, Mai?"

"Mm-hmm." she replied.

"Let's giddy-up." said Joey as four Niwatori birds appeared in front of them.

As they crossed the desert, Mai explained to the boys what was going on. "So you're saying that Kaiba Corp paid you to come here, Mai?" asked Joey.

"That's right." she said.

"Wonder why." said Joey, curiously.

"Probably to test it…" said Mokuba. "to make sure that everything would go according to plan when they would use it on my brother. Still, they couldn't have planned on all of us. Huh? Look over there."

Just then, something shoots up out of the sand, causing the quartet to scream in fear. "Its an earthquake!" shouted Mai as the sand came towards them and the ground starts to open up.

"No! Its something worse!" Yugi cried out. "It's another obstacle programmed into the game!"

"What is it?" asked Joey. "Oh, no! It's a sandstorm monster!"

"We're never going to get past that!" shouted Mokuba as the Sandstorm Monster (ATTK: 1,300/DEF:1,600) roars out in front of them.

"All right then." said Joey, drawing out another card. "I'll kick over this sand castle with my Red Eyes Black Dragon! Red Eyes Black Dragon, Inferno Fire Blast!"

"Yeah!" they all shouted as Red Eyes Black Dragon blasts the Sandstorm Monster with its Fire blast.

"Heh. Buh-Bye." said Joey. Out of nowhere, the sandstorm around them starts to clear up.

"Look." Mai said, taking notice. "Through the dust. Do you see what I see?"

"Some sort of Ancient temple." said Yugi. "That must be what we're looking for."

"Is that where their keeping Kaiba?" Mai asked Mokuba.

"An old woman told us it was the 'Temple across the desert'. So that's gotta be it." said Mokuba. "Seto's gotta be there."

"Go, Drumstick!" Joey said to his Niwatori as they ran towards the temple.

"Uh, guys?" Mai asked. "Joey named his chicken."

"It's a Niwatori, Mai." he tells her.

"Whatever." she said.

"I cant wait to tell Paige about this." said Yugi.

"She'll be laughing in stitches." said Mokuba.

"That's if she's not holding onto her sides." joked Mai.

"You guys!" said Joey, now getting annoyed.

Once they arrived at the temple, Joey was shocked by how big it was. "Wow. Look at the size of that thing." he said.

"Whew! Here at last." said Mai, tired from all that riding as Mokuba hops off his Niwatori.

"Mokuba!" Joey called out after the young Kaiba boy as he ran inside. "Hold up!"

"I'm coming, Seto!" yelled Mokuba as he ran into the temple.

"There's no stoppin' him." said Joey. "Come on, or else we're gonna lose both of them Kaiba brothers." Once off the Niwatori birds, they followed Mokuba inside and into the temple's entrance. "Sheesh. This temple's seen better days."

"Definitely creepy." agreed Mai.

"Yeah. Lets try and stick together." suggested Yugi.

"Ok." said Mokuba, knowing that it was a good idea. The quartet went further into the temple until they arrived at a double wooden door.

"Allow me." Joey said, pushing it open to reveal a labyrinth. "Huh?" The quartet was confused, wondering why a labyrinth was there. "It's a labyrinth dungeon! It's like when we dueled them weirdo Paradox Brothers, huh, Yuge?"

Suddenly, the doors behind them closed, locking the quartet inside the labyrinth. "No use." said Joey, banging on the doors. "It's locked tight."

"I'm totally freaked." said Mai.

"Its all right." Yugi assured them. "Remember, this is all a game, and we'd never reached the end of this adventure by going backwards, anyway. Which means….." Yugi looks over at the labyrinth. "We gotta go through that maze to find Kaiba."

Out of nowhere, the quartet heard a cry coming from the maze, causing them to gasp. "Someone's in trouble." said Yugi.

"Aah!"

"I'm on it!" said Joey as he ran into the maze.

"Watch where you're going, Joey." said Mai. "Unh! That doofus will do anything to meet a girl. I guess he realizes I'm way out of his league."

"Well, at least he doesn't know that Paige has a crush on him." said Yugi. "Oops! I shouldn't have said that."

"No way! Really?" asked Mai and Mokuba.

"Yep. Just don't tell him yet." Yugi tells them. "We're hoping that he'll figure it out at some point."

Before Mokuba and Mai could say anything, a tank of some sort (ATTK:2,400/DEF:2,400) enters the labyrinth maze. "Unh! What now?" Mai questioned.

"A Labyrinth tank! Run!" Yugi shouted as Mai screams in fear.

"Its gaining on us!" shouted Mokuba, running through the maze.

"Joey, watch out!" Mai cried out.

"Left. Right. Left. Right." Joey said to himself, trying to decide which direction to go in.

"Joey!" Yugi cried out.

"What?" he asked, turning around.

"Gotta go now!" Yugi tells him as they catch up with the blonde boy.

"Tank!" screamed Joey. "WAAH!"

Joey turns left as the others followed him, only for them to stop when another Labyrinth tank appears. "Another one!" shouted Mokuba as Mai screams.

"There's no way we're getting by that thing." said Joey.

"There's tanks coming from every direction!" said Yugi as another tank rolled its way towards them. "We're boxed in!"

"Ok, anybody here got a plan?" asked Joey.

"Yeah, get past those tanks." answered Yugi.

"You got a plan b?" Joey asked him. "Otherwise, we're gonna have more hole in us than Swiss Cheese and Paige wouldn't want her only brother to come home like that!"

"I'll use my Magical Hats." said Yugi and one of the four Magical Hats dropped on them.

"Ooh!"

The labyrinth tanks didn't move as three Magical Hats had the quartet in them. "Heh-Heh. I love that trick." said Joey as they start walking in the Magical Hat. "You got us outta there just in time. Now, lets move this party."

"Ouch, Joey. That's my foot." Mai said when Joey accidentally steps on her as the Magical Hat disappears.

"Sorry." said Joey, apologetically. "So…..now we're in the clear. Some nice thinkin' there, Yugi."

Just then, they heard the rumbling of the Labyrinth tanks that were now looking for them. "Guys, those tanks are coming after us!" Mai tells them.

"Which way do we go?" asked Mokuba when suddenly a little fairy flies towards the quartet.

"Look, another fairy…" said Yugi as the fairy hovers above him, remembering the one that was in the graveyard. "like we saw before."

"Hey, I bet its one of them fairies that they put in games to help the players out." Joey said in the graveyard.

"Huh. Maybe she can help us." said Yugi, curious if the fairy would help.

"Yeah, it looks like maybe she wants us to follow her." said Joey.

"Lets do it." said Mai.

"Think she can lead us to my brother?" wondered Mokuba.

"Earu, you're back." said the girl as the fairy flies to her.

"Who's that?" asked Joey as they walked up. The quartet takes notice in the girl to see that she resembles a feminine Mokuba. "Where did….hey…." The girl gasps as she looks over at them.

"Check it out, Mokuba." said Joey. "Looks like that fairy's turned you into a girl."

"Great." Mokuba said sarcastically. "Can she make you smart?"

"They look like…." Mai started to say, looking at both features.

"They could be twins." said Yugi, understanding Mai's thinking.

"Oh, totally." said Mai.

"We heard someone scream." Mokuba said to his female video game counterpart. "Are you alright?"

"I lost Earu….my guide." she replied.

"Well….we're all here now." said Joey. "So, can you get us outta this rattrap?"

Mokuba's counterpart shakes her head, then said, "I'm lost too." The quartet groans at this, losing hope that they would get out. "But Earu will find a way out for us." The quartet cheers when they hear this.

"I see the end of the maze!" cried Mokuba as Earu found a way out for them.

"Alright!" cheered Joey. "We're home free!" Just as he had said that, Joey looks up to see another monster standing in front of him. "Wha?! Did I say, 'Home free'? I meant 'In deep trouble'!"

"I cant think of anything that'll beat a monster that strong!" said Mai, fearfully.

"He could crush us in one attack!" said Joey. "Those Kaiba Corp crooks must have put Gaigotian in the game to stop us."

Gaigotian (ATTK:3,750/DEF:3,400), stood there towering over them. "How do we beat it?" Mai asked.

"We can over come anything by working together." said Yugi.

"Right on, Yuge." Joey said, loving the plan. "We'll team up."

"Lets go." said Yugi.

"I'll combine my Red Eyes Black Dragon….." Joey said, going first.

"With my Summoned Skull." added Yugi.

"And fused them with the Polymerization card to form…..the Black Skull Dragon!" they both shouted, creating the monster. Black Skull Dragon (ATTK:3,200/DEF:2,500) roared as it made its appearance.

"Great try, guys, but we still need even more attack power." Mai reminded them that they still needed 550 more attack points. "I hate this! Everything's rigged against us!"

"Just wait." said Joey, revealing a spell card. "I've still got Dragon Nails. It raises our attack power by 700 points." As Dragon Nails appeared on Black Skull Dragon, its attack power was raised to 3,700. "Molten Fireball, Attack!"

Black Skull Dragon released its fireball upon Gaigotian, sending it to the graveyard. "That's amazing!" said Mokuba's counterpart, shocked that they were able to do this. "You're all so brave….so much like the heroes of legend."

"Ahh, it was nothin'." said Joey.

"Heroes of Legend?" questioned Yugi.

"Oh, milady, is that you?" asked a solider, running into the cave with a search party.

"Lady Adena!" a woman called out. "Is everything all right?"

"Grandma!" said Adena, seeing that her grandmother was with the search party.

"Milady, we've been worried sick about you." her grandmother said, then sees the quartet behind her granddaughter. "Oh! I've seen you've made some new friends."

"They saved me." said Adena, looking at the quartet. "They're the bravest warriors I've ever seen!" Yugi and the others nervously smiled as they chuckled by Adena's statement.

"Oh!"

"As thanks, I'd like to invite them as guests to the palace." Adena said.

At the virtual altar, Kaiba groans over the lava below. "Where…..am I?" Kaiba asked, opening his eyes.

"You're with me, Seto Kaiba." said a creepy character as he appears before Kaiba from the ground.

"Huh? Witty Phantom! You took me as your prisoner in my own game?" questioned a confused Kaiba.

"Yes!" answered Witty Phantom.

"Then release me." Kaiba demanded. "I command you to."

"This is no longer your world to command." said Witty (ATTK:1,400/DEF:1,300), placing his hat on his head. "Your game's been reprogrammed. You're late to the party, Kaiba."

"Gee, I never liked parties." responded Kaiba.

"But you're the guest of honor…." said Witty Phantom. "or at least you will be…..very soon. You see, Kaiba, you will have the great privilege of being our offering to the Mythic Dragon. Till then, your misery will be in my capable hands."

"That's enough." growled Kaiba. "Override protocol. End this simulation."

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Witty Phantom waved a finger at him. "I told you things have changed. Your code's been rewritten, and now all of your safety precautions are a thing of the past." he tells Kaiba, then tips his hat. "Now, excuse me. There's so much to do before the other offering is brought here."

"Huh? Another offering?" asked Kaiba, wondering who it could be.

"I know you love the spotlight, but you'll just have to share." Witty Phantom tells him and starts walking away.

"Come back!" shouted Kaiba as Witty Phantom disappears.

"Well, I still don't want to make of this crazy game world…." Joey said as he and the others were taken by carriage to Adena's palace. "But I like this part a lot better than that maze."

"I like Adena." said Mai. "At least she knows how to travel in high style."

"That's true." added Yugi. "Mokuba, you should be flattered that Kaiba based such a cool character on you."

"On me?" Mokuba asked.

"HMMMHH! Yeah, on you…..milady." said Joey, snickering as Mokuba turns to glare at him.

"Hey!" he shouted at Joey.

"Oh, look at that!" exclaimed Yugi, looking out of the carriage.

"Huh?"

"Whoa! Excellent!" said Joey as they see Adena's kingdom. "Hope they got food in this game."

"Didn't Paige feed you before we got into this game?" asked Yugi.

"Uh…." said Joey, giving Yugi a sheepish smile.

"Gee, I just hope they can help us." said Mokuba. "We need to find Seto."

Guards stood at attention as Adena brought in the quartet. "Check out this pad." said Joey as he looks around. "Whoa."

"Huh?" said Yugi as Earu giggles at him.

"It seems Earu has taken a liking to you." said Adena, looking over her shoulder at Yugi.

"Is this your palace?" Yugi asked.

"Why, yes." Adena said, nodding. "I am the princess of this land….Sin-Lau. Princess Adena."

"Princess?" the quartet asked, shocked by this. Once inside and at a table filled with food, Joey rudely ate everything he could get his hands on.

"Careful, everyone." said Mai, watching Joey eat. "Keep your hands and feet away from Joey's mouth."

Just then, something went wrong as Joey's face turns blue. He starts choking. "Are you okay?" Mai asked, concerned about him.

"Happens all the time." Joey assures her, finally catching his breath and gives her a chuckle.

"Disgusting." she tells him.

"Princess Adena….do you have any news of my brother….Seto?" asked Mokuba.

"Well, I didn't want to say anything before, but people often disappear when it is time for the offerings." said Princess Adena, hanging her head down in sadness.

"Offerings?" questioned Yugi.

"What do you mean?" asked Mai.

"Every year at this time, offerings are collected from this and another kingdom so that the Mythic Dragon can be resurrected." Princess Adena explained.

"The Mythic Dragon?" Yugo asked out of curiosity.

"The other kingdom has already put up their offering…some stranger from a distant land." she continued.

"That's Seto!" Mokuba exclaimed. "Please! Tell me where he is!"

"He's in a dark castle floating in the sky." said Princess Adena.

"A dark castle?" asked Mokuba.

"Why's that sound familiar?" questioned Joey.

"The Castle of Dark Illusions?" asked Yugi.

"That painting tells the tale." replied Princess Adena looking at the painting on the stone wall. "We have passed down the legend for generations. Long ago, a hero escaped that dreaded castle on a flying machine. It is said he hid his vessel in Sin Lau a thousand years ago. His ship was never found. And there's no other way to reach the dark castle."

"We could fly there on Joey's dragon." suggested Mai.

"A magic barrier protects the castle." Princess Adena tells her. "No duel monster can penetrate it."

"Oh!" gasped Mai.

"Oh no." said a now saddened Mokuba.

"Don't you worry." Mai told Mokuba, in hopes that he would cheer up. "Just keep telling yourself this is only a game. We can solve it."

Adena and her grandmother gasps at what they heard, causing Mai to look up at them. "Oh! I mean, life's a game!" she tried to explain, playing off her comment. "So, what are you going to do about your kingdom's offering?"

"Oh. Well….I've….volunteered." said the princess and the quartet gasps. "But don't worry about my fate, for with the legend comes a prophecy…and it predicts that epic heroes will come to Sin Lau from beyond the distant mountains. It is these great heroes who, united, will create a power that is strong enough to destroy the Mythic Dragon."

"Are you saying that that's us?" asked Yugi.

"You think…..we're the epic heroes from the prophecy?" Mai asked.

"Yes. On your shoulders rests the fate of our kingdom." said Princess Adena.

"All right, now! Hah-hah!" exclaimed a cheerful Joey. "Super Joey is here to save the day!"

"Super Dork's more like it." chimed Mai. "This isn't an eating contest, Joey. This is dangerous."

"Whatever." he said. "We gotta go through that Mythic Dragon to rescue Kaiba anyway, right? Way I see it, there's no choice."

"Mmm." Yugi nodded.

Mokuba looks over at Princess Adena with a smile on his face. "To properly prepare you, we will adorn you in the manner of our greatest heroes." she said to the quartet.

In a chest, there where clothes for them to change into, blending in with everyone in the game. "A girl like me can get use to this." said Mai. "How'd you make out, Yugi?"

"Well, I feel a bit silly. But I'm glad that Paige doesn't have to see me like this." Yugi said to her.

"Silly? I think you just look great and Paige will still love you now matter what you wear." Mai tells him.

"If you say so." Yugi said, knowing that she was probably right about Paige. "Uhh. You know, Mai, Kaiba Corp's Execs have reprogrammed this game. You could be putting yourself in danger."

"Yugi, did you check me out?" she asked the oldest Muto. "I look way too good to be sitting at home."

"You're okay, Mai." said Yugi.

"Where's Joey, anyway?" asked Mai, looking for the tall blonde.

"Back here." said Joey, peering through the curtains. "And back here's just where I'm stayin', too."

"Oh, come on." Mai implored him. "Don't be such a wimp."

Joey gives in and shows off what he was wearing, causing Yugi and Mai to gasp. "I'm wearing a bathroom rug, Mai." complained Joey.

"But, Joey, this is the traditional garb of our greatest national hero." said Adena's grandmother. Suddenly, thunder was heard outside and lightning struck the sky.

"Lightning?" asked a confused Joey.

"The storm came out of nowhere." Mai chimed in.

"Somethin' aint right here." said Joey as they walked out onto the terrace.

"I've got a real bad feeling about this, guys." said Yugi.

"Princess, its far too dangerous for you out here." said Adena's grandmother.

"Look!" yelled Yugi, looking up. "A castle floating in the sky!"

"Oh, dear, oh dear, oh dear!" Adena's grandmother cried out in fear as they see the Castle of Dark Illusions appear above them.

"The Castle of Dark Illusions." said Yugi as its minions came out flying.

"Never mind the castle." Mai tells Yugi. "Look at all those duel monsters."

"It looks like they've come to get their offering." said Joey.

"The princess!" exclaimed Yugi. "Get ready, guys!"

Duel monsters growled as they descended upon the group. "I've never seen so many duel monsters at one time!" said Joey, shocked at what was coming towards them.

"How're we gonna stop 'em all?" asked a fearful Mai.

"Joey! Look out!" Yugi called out as a ninja like duel monster came towards them in the shadows. "The Armed Ninja!"

"No way he's layin' a hand on the princess!" said Joey, standing his ground.

"We've gotta stop him!" said Yugi.

"Leave it to me." said Mai, taking out her next duel card. "Dark Witch, Attack!" Dark Witch appears and starts attacking, destroying a couple duel monsters. "2 down."

"This wont work!" said Yugi as Dark Witch made her way through the duel monster army. "There are too many to fight one at a time! Listen, Mai, summon back your Dark Witch."

"And then what?" she asked.

"We'll have to use another strategy." he answered, looking back at the Castle of Dark Illusions.

"Dark Witch, return." said Mai, recalling her monster.

"Here's my plan." said Yugi. "I'll activate the Dark Hole magic card! And then they'll be lost in its vortex!" Just before it could be activated, someone threw a sharp blade at Yugi, knocking the card from his hand. "Oh, no!"

"On the tower, Yugi!" Mai said, turning her attention to the turret. "That Armed Ninja!"

"Yeah. Look! That no good Armed Ninja destroyed your Dark Hole Card, Yuge!" said Joey as they glared at the monster.

Suddenly a net was placed over the princess, capturing her. "Princess!" Yugi cried out as she was lifted away from them.

"Don't let him get away!" shouted Mai.

"Axe Raider!" shouted Joey, summoning his next monster and used a trap card. "Use Kunai with Chain to attack!"

"RAHHRR!" bellowed Axe Raider, swinging Kunai with Chain towards the Armed Ninja, destroying it as it lets go of the princess.

"All right!" cheered Joey as the princess falls towards them, only to be caught by another monster.

"The Whiptail Crow got her!" shouted Mai. "They're getting away!"

"Princess!" the others cried out as the Whiptail Crow carries the princess away.

"Adena!" shouted Yugi as the sky clears up.

"Oh, no! What've I done?" Adena asked herself as she fell to her knees. "They've taken Mokuba! He's gone! Mokuba's gone!"

"Mokuba?" asked Joey, looking down to see that Adena and Mokuba had traded places. "What?! You're not Mokuba?!"

"Oh!"

"Adena!" said Joey.

"Princess?" asked her grandmother.

"But we thought….." Yugi started to say.

"So then…..they got Mokuba?" questioned Mai.

"Yes. That was him." answered Adena. "He wanted to go."

[Flashback]

"Switch outfits with me." Mokuba said to Adena. "I'll go in your place and join my brother Seto."

"Its all my fault." she sobbed. "He was so brave, and I was afraid."

[Flashback ends]

"Don't you see? I was the one meant to be offered, not Mokuba." explained Adena. "Please, you must save him."

"But how do we reach the dark castle?" Joey curiously asked.

Yugi sighs as he walks over to the edge and gazes out. "I don't know." he said, then looks out into the courtyard. "Huh? Look! Guys! Down there! Ancient ruins!"

"What do you see, Yuge?" asked Joey as he sees what Yugi was seeing.

"They must've been uncovered by the storm." said Yugi, seeing something familiar in the ground.

"That symbol….of the legendary flying machine!" exclaimed Adena.

"Wow!" said Yugi, shocked to see the outline of the flying machine. "So this is where your ancient hero hid it!"

"But even if its buried under there, it must be a fossil by now." said Joey. "How could we ever restore it?"

"I don't know, but it's our only hope of rescuing the Kaiba brothers." said Yugi. "Let's go down there and check it out!"

"Yuge, this is hopeless." Joey tells him as they arrived to the site. "There's no way a plane that old is gonna fly."

"No, it won't." Yugi said, knowing that he was right. "That's why we have to restore it to the way it was 1,000 years ago."

"Restore it?" interrogated Joey. "But how's that possible?"

"Of course! Don't you get it, Joey?" Mai inquired.

"Huh?"

"Listen." said Yugi, about to explain his idea. "If the passage of time corroded the flying machine, then turning back the clock will make it as good as new. And what card can turn back the clock, Joey?"

"Oh." Joey chuckled as he pulls out Time Wizard. "The one you gave me before Pegasus' tournament. The Time Wizard. It can make things like they were 1,000 years ago. But if the hands land on Skulls, it'll take our life points."

"We've got to risk it." said Yugi. "Seto and Mokuba's future hangs in the balance."

"Mm-hmm." Mai said, nodding in agreement.

"Here goes nothin'." said Joey. "Come on, Time Wizard. Take these ruins back 1,000 years! Time Magic!"

"Time Magic!" repeated Time Wizard, activating his magic.

"Something's happening!" said Mai as the ruins around them started to glow.

"Oh!"

"Joey! I think its happening!" said Yugi.

"The ruins….they're rebuilding themselves!" said Joey as bricks went back up one by one.

"No, Joey. Time's rebuilding them." Yugi reminded him as buildings went back up from 1,000 years ago.

"I don't understand." said Adena's grandmother as the ground shook beneath them. "What's happening!"

The trio groans for a moment when the shaking finally stops. "Old Sin Lau…" said Mai as they looked around them. "It's….it's beautiful."

"Ahh….it didn't work." said Joey. Just then, the ground shakes again, causing the trio to look down.

"I think you spoke too soon, Joey!" Yugi said when the ground suddenly opens. "Something's happening….but what?" The trio looks around in fear as the ground continues to shake, causing Yugi to be lifted up and fall unto his back.

"Yes!"

"I cant hold 'em." said Tristan as he and the girls try to keep the door closed, preventing Kemo and his goons out. "Tea, Paige, we're in big trouble here."

"Gee, Tristan, I havent noticed." Paige said sarcastically.

"Unhh!" groaned Tea. "We've got to hang on! Yugi! Come back soon….or you might not be able to come back at all!"
