It had been a few weeks since Amari had been adopted by his new family, and a few days since his recovery from that night...

On the day of his release, he sat on his hospital bed, seemingly in deep thought about something.

Of course, the pink, playful fluff ball floating above him didn't let it go unnoticed.

'Whatcha thinking about?' Mew asked, tilting her head.

Amari flinched for a split second, before speaking.

"D-Don't scare me like that, Mew..." He said. "But, it's about those two other Pokémon..." He continued.

'My two children? What about them?' Mew asked in response, tilting her head.

"I'm kinda...unsure on how to deal with living with them." Amari said. "I don't want to ignore them, but they just seem a little...unapproachable; Like as if it'd be awkward talking to them..." He continued.

Mew placed her paw on her chin, pondering on Amari's explanation for a few seconds, before she turned to him to answer.

'Well, I personally can't tell you how to deal with them, but just...try talking to them, okay?' She said. 'The younger one of the two is much more friendlier than her male counterpart, but he'll also warm up to you if you're careful enough.' She continued.

"If you say so..." Amari said, before the two were interrupted.

"Alright Amari, Oak said it's time to go home." Ash said, his signature smile on his face.

"Okay, I'm on my way..." Amari said, grabbing his crutches and heading out of the door of his hospital room, Mew following closely behind.

"Why are you invisible, anyway?" He asked the pink, cat-like Pokémon.

"It's complicated..." Mew responded, sweatdropping.

"I guess I'll take your word for it..." Amari said, sighing deeply as he began thinking about the two siblings again.

He knew that they didn't really hate him or anything; at least the pink-toned one didn't...

But every time he talked to either of them it just felt...pointless.

This feeling was more prominent with the purple, much older looking one.

Even when Amari wasn't around him, he felt his glare from across the room.

'He probably hates me...' Amari thought to himself, frowning softly.

'If they hated you, you wouldn't even be here right now...' Mew spoke up inside of the boy's head.

Amari's eyes widened in surprise.

'But that doesn't mean they like me either...' He replied.

'They TOLERATE you, and given their history with humans...it's way better than nothing.' Mew said. 'Also, who's to say you can't improve your relationship with either of them?' She asked.

Amari was silent for a while, taking some time to consider the idea.

It would probably be difficult, especially with the male one, but...

'I-I guess I can try...' He said.

Mew smiled softly, landing on his head.

'It'll be fine; I know they can be difficult, especially the male one...but, it's worth a try.' She said, kneading the boy's hair.

Amari sighed, a small but unsure smile forming in his face as he grabbed Mew like a cat, pulling her down to look at him.

"You can be too persuasive sometimes, y'know that...?" He asked.

Mew giggled in response.

'It's my specialty.' She said.

Amari looked to Tera, his Eevee who was sleeping on his shoulder peacefully.

He picked her up carefully and put her in his hoodie pocket, as he got up to leave his hospital room, Mew following behind.

At the house...

Amari was lying down on the couch, thinking to himself.

'She says talk to them...but how?' He asked himself. 'Surely it's not that simple...' He thought.

Then he felt his body sink slightly further into the cushion below him, snapping him out of his thoughts.

He looked up, seeing exactly who he was thinking about on how to approach.

Or at least, one of them.

'It's not a problem if I sit here, is it?' Newtwo asked.

"N-No, not at all..." Amari responded. "I...uhm..." He stammered, struggling to find a way to continue the conversation.

Newtwo tilted her head.

"Hm?" She asked.

Amari rubbed the back of his head.

"I-I need to talk to you." He said, trying to keep his voice straight, though it was difficult.

Newtwo turned her body towards him, her eyes staring at him.

'I'm listening.' She said.

"W-Well...I haven't really properly talked to you guys, since...y'know..." He said, sweatdropping.

'Yes, HIM...' Newtwo spoke up, her eyes narrowing as she thought about Amari's father.

The fact that he had tried to still hurt the boy, the fact that he was willing to stay with his old ways...

...It was disgusting.

Newtwo was more wary than hateful of humans.

But certain humans that were controlling, abusive, or manipulative., like him?

They deserved to die.

At least to her.

"U-Uhm, hello...?" Amari suddenly spoke up, snapping her out of her deep trance.

'Ah, sorry, was deep in thought there...' She said, blushing slightly as she sweatdropped.

"You looked like you were ready to kill somebody..." Amari said.

'Yes, sorry about that...let's just say your father reminds me of a terrible person myself.' She said.

'Who could that be...?' Amari wondered to himself.

'Giovanni?' A male voice said, adding itself to the conversation. 'The scum that tries to manipulate Pokémon to bend to his will? The worthless being who has tried time and time again to control ME, the world's most powerful Pokémon?' It asked.

'Yes, I mean him. Now shut up and stop talking about it, you're scaring Amari.' Newtwo said to her brother, making him realize what he was doing.

He looked towards Amari, seeing the boy hiding behind his sibling as he shook in genuine fear.

He didn't even notice he was glaring in anger at the boy, nor did he realize his body was glowing with his psychic aura.

He quickly composed himself, returning to his normal gloomy nature.

'Apologies, the topic of that man gives me...DISDAIN.' Mewtwo said, furrowing his brows slightly.

"I-It's fine..." Amari said, still shaking in fear. "You're not gonna hurt me, are you...?" He asked, his voice shaky.

'He'll have to get through me if he wants that.' Newtwo said jokingly, but did still mean it.

'Oh please, I may hate humans, but I have morals.' Mewtwo said. 'Moving on from that, however...' Mewtwo said, before glaring at the boy once again.

'...Why do you need to talk to us?' He asked, raising an eyebrow suspiciously.

It's as if the world had flipped on its head for him.

His heart sank, and his eyes widened.

Did Mew tell them...?

Did they read his mind...?

Regardless of whether there was an answer or not, he was in a corner now.

"Well...I...um..." Amari said, trying to find an answer.

'What the hell is wrong with me...?' Amari asked himself inside of his head.

He knew what he wanted to say, but he couldn't speak.

It was as if he had his mouth taped shut, or his throat slit.

His anxiety was trying to seep in, as he struggled to say anything.

Then he felt something holding his hand.

He snapped out of his trance, looking down.

It was Newtwo's hand wrapped around his, squeezing it softly.

'I know it's stressful talking to us, but we promise we won't do anything, okay?' She said, looking at the boy with a caring smile. 'Just take your time, we won't rush you.' She continued.

Amari's eyes widened as he heard her words.

He wanted to cry, but held it in.

He needed to be strong, at least for now.

"Well...it's just...weird, I guess." He said, finally speaking up.

'How so?' Newtwo asked, tilting her head.

"When I talk to either of you, it feels unapproachable in a way..." Amari responded. "Like as if there's not really a way to be social with either of you." He said. "It's more prominent with your brother, mainly because of his body language and how he responds, but even then..." He continued.

'I'm guessing you're intimidated by us, yes?" Newtwo asked.

"Y-Yeah, that..." Amari said. "Just...hard to approach." He continued. "Ash is usually enthusiastic, Mew is even more so, Deliah is like a Mom I wanted, Oak is a great grandpa, but with you guys, it's just...I don't know..." He finished, frowning deeply as he squeezed his arm tightly.

'Because we're from a different species, isn't it?' Mewtwo asked, his eyes narrowing.

Amari nodded silently.

He was scared to say it, mainly because it was rude.

He barely even had known either of them, let along spend time with them.

He had no right to judge them in such a way, and he still doesn't.

'Well, I guess that makes the three of us.' Mewtwo spoke up, smirking slightly.

Amari froze for a moment, processing what he had heard.

"I-I'm sorry...?" He asked, looking at Mewtwo with confusion.

'There's a reason why I have been avoiding you.' Mewtwo admitted.'I don't do very well with talking to humans, mainly because my experiences with them have been rather...bittersweet.' He explained. 'The same can be said about her as well.' He continued, motioning towards Newtwo, who nodded in response.

'We've both had very...sour experiences with your species, but we know it's not entirely their fault.' Newtwo said, adding on the Mewtwo's response. 'But similar to us, you have also had experiences like those; arguably worse ones.' She continued.

"So...you're okay with me...staying...?" Amari asked hesitantly.

The two sibling Pokémon nodded.

'We seen more than enough to know you mean no harm.' Newtwo said, smiling softly.

'I'll still have my eye on you, but you're welcome to stay.' Mewtwo said.

Amari froze for few seconds, as if time had stopped completely.

Then he pulled both of them into a hug, tears welling up in his eyes.

"T-Thank you..." He said, his body trembling with a mix of happiness and relief.

'N-No problem...' Newtwo said, her eyes squinting in pain.

'You're welcome...but for the love of Arceus, PLEASE let go.' Mewtwo said, also shaking in pain.

Who knew a teenager could be so strong?

"O-Oh, sorry..." Amari said, quickly letting go of the two.

'Ugh, I think my ribcage is shattered...' Mewtwo said, rubbing his now-aching lower chest area.

'Oh please, he's not THAT strong.' Newtwo said, bumping her brother with her elbow.

Mewtwo rolled his eyes, grumbling.

'For you, maybe...' He mumbled.

Newtwo rolled her eyes in response.

'Is that all you needed to get off of your chest?' Newtwo asked.

"Y-Yeah..." Amari said. "Now it's just these dumb injuries..." He mumbled, looking down at his bandaged body.

He had almost forgotten they were there, despite how badly they ached from his movements.

Almost.

'Yeah, you should probably get some rest now...' Newtwo said, sweat-dropping. 'Do you need any help getting up there?' She asked.

"Well, the only way up to my room is through the stairs, so..." Amari said.

'Right...' Newtwo said, frowning softly.

'We could always use our psychic abilities.' Mewtwo suggested.

'I don't know if Amari's comfortable with that...' Newtwo said.

'Does it matter?' Mewtwo asked, raising an eyebrow.

'YES, it matters.' Newtwo responded, her eyes narrowing at her brother.

"I-I'm fine with that, by the way..." Amari said.

'Are you sure?' Newtwo asked.

Amari nodded.

'Telekinesis it is then.' Mewtwo said, quickly raising the boy up into the air and carrying him towards the stairs leading to his room.

Newtwo sighed, using her own psychic abilities to carry his crutches, as well as the rest of his stuff.

Annnd done.

I think this might be the easiest chapter I've written for this story.

Just got out of graduation a week ago, and I'm currently celebrating with family, so I've been busy.

Regardless, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Chapter 6 will be out soon!
