Chapter Three: Battle in the Outlands
Meanwhile, in the Outlands, Jasiri and her clan were struggling to fend off Janja and his hyenas. The air was thick with tension as the two sides faced each other.
Jasiri: "Janja, you picked the wrong day to try to take our territory in the Outlands." She growled, standing her ground despite being outnumbered.
Janja: "Oh really? We've got you cornered. What are you going to do about it?" He taunted with a sneer.
Jasiri: "Grrrr!" She snarled, her resolve unshaken. She knew she had to protect her clan, no matter the odds.
Just then, the Lion Guard arrived at Jasiri's territory, just in time to help.
Kion: "Kion! I want you to leave Jasiri's territory in the Outlands," He demanded, his voice firm.
Janja: "You know I would, but I want to claim Jasiri's territory as part of my own." He replied smugly.
Kion: "Last chance, Janja! Leave now, or face the consequences!" He warned, his stance ready for battle.
Janja: "You want to do this the hard way? Fine, we'll take Jasiri's territory after we beat you." He declared, leading his hyenas into attack.
As the battle commenced, Fuli quickly thought of Bongo's safety. "Bongo, I need you to stay on this rock." She instructed. He nodded, climbing off her back and staying put as she had told him. Fuli gave him a reassuring smile before racing back into the fray.
An all-out brawl erupted between the Lion Guard, Jasiri's clan, and Janja's hyenas. Kion tackled Janja with a fierce growl.
Kion: *growls* He growled, pinning Janja to the ground.
Janja: "Hey, get off me!" He protested, struggling beneath Kion's strength.
Nearby, Bunga faced off against another hyena. "Bring it on, hyena! Zuka Zama!" He yelled, landing a solid uppercut.
Ono swooped down, pecking at two hyenas and causing them to yelp in pain. Fuli squared off against Nne and Tano.
Fuli: *snarls* "Back off, you two!" She snarled, her eyes blazing with determination.
Nne: "You can't beat us, Fuli." He sneered.
Tano: "Yeah, there's two of us," He added with a smirk.
Beshte: "Twende Kiboko!" As he charged in with a bellow.
Fuli: "I'm not alone." She said confidently, with a grin. Stepping aside to let Beshte plow into them.
Cheezi and Chungu however, spotted Bongo alone on the rock and recognized him. "Hey, isn't that baby baboon Fuli's friend?" Cheezi asked.
Chungu: "Yeah, what was his name again?" He pondered.
Chungu: "I think it was Bongo." He replied. Then Cheezi came up with a malicious idea
Cheezi: "I think Janja will be happy once we capture Bongo." He said, with an evil smirk.
Chungu: "Yeah, let's capture him." He agreed, and they both headed for Bongo.
Seeing the hyenas approach, Bongo whimpered in fear. Jasiri noticed and rushed to his aid, fending off Cheezi and Chungu. The two hyenas, outmatched, ran away.
Jasiri: "Are you okay?" She crouched down to Bongo's level, who nodded gratefully. From that moment, he took a strong liking to her, just as he had with Fuli.
Kion: "It's over, Janja! Now I suggest you and your hyenas leave!" He declared, having overpowered Janja.
Janja: "Fine, let's go, boys!" He snarled, as he pushed Kion off. He and his clan retreated back to their territory in the Outlands.
As they regrouped, Cheezi spoke up, "Hey, Janja. We have something to tell you."
Janja: "What is it?" He asked, annoyed.
Chungu: "We saw Fuli's friend, Bongo." He reported.
Janja's eyes lit up with a sinister gleam. "Really?" he said, a wicked grin spreading across his face. He now had a new plan for revenge against the Lion Guard.
